Love stories to write about: how queer identities can make storytelling more varied
Love stories are great if they're well told.
But despite it is the depth of characters, the healthy of relationships and the chemical between people involved that make a love story worth knowing, assuming that cishet man/woman, cis gay man/man and cis gay woman/woman are the only possible love story combinations can make romance boring.
By only opening up more to the queer world, you can find different love combinations that will lead you to interesting point of views. And if you fill it with all the things that actually make a love story good, you'll have great stories to tell.
Here are some examples on how you can queer relationships for the better:
cis man/woman, but they're both bisexual/pansexual
cis man/woman, but both ace
man/woman but one of them is trans (and the other can be straight or queer)
man/woman, both trans (they don't have to be both straight btw)
queer cis man/trans man
queer cis woman/trans woman
two trans women or two trans men
Non binary person ( gender assigned at birth doesn't matter but remember how varied gender non confirming people are) / queer cis man
Non binary person/queer cis woman
Non binary person / trans woman
Non binary person/trans man
Two non binary people
Three people all in love with each other ( be creative about their gender identity and sexuality, it can be any combination that would make them compatible)
One person in love with other two people that aren't in love with one another but are best friends (metalovers) and everybody is consenting ofc
Four people all in love with each other but that obviously share different level of platonic love or romantic love and could have or not a sexual relationship.
all the previous relationships but make them ace too
The combinations don't stop here: the queer world is varied and stories can benefit from them. Use your imagination, be aware of queer reality, always take in consideration consent and compatibility: you'll find out beautiful love stories to tell.

The body has a lot of medical disorders(did, OCD, severe autism, ADHD, mild bpd, schizo-affective, c-ptsd(duh?), RA, etc.) So anything coined in relation to disorders or disabilities, we have them and if we don't, they were requested and guided by someone who dose. The body is intersex, semi-white passing and was raised in American and semi dutch/semi German culture(disconnected from native heritage). We may be black (it's complicated due to family stuff and we experience racism from people harassing us due to our potentially-black-originating features. the wlm of the FuGioTriSheila aka GioTrish, FuSheila and if ya wanna then FuTrish and GioSheila (tho i see the last two as qpr anyway so you can do only the first two since requestion 2 ships in one ask is probs too much anyway not to mention 4 ^^') i just need someone to talk about my polyam blorbos that isnt just general gay content (i love fugio and trisheila but i want love for my "rarepairs" :<)
I've only read snippets of PHF so I don't know Sheila's personality 100%, but I have a feeling that she won't get too close to Gio out of her own sense of respect and duty. With Fugo tho, I can see them kinda "bully" each other like siblings and warm up to each other's company much faster and closer
GioTrish I have a bunch of thoughts, given how their experiences are parallel to one another to some degree. I wish there were wayy more interactions in canon because even a small conversation between them would've been interesting!! I see them as siblings, but I think as a future couple they could be interesting. Trish doesn't give a damn that Gio's the Don of the Italian Mafia Underground, she'll tell him if his outfit of the day sucks. I think they'd inspire each other.
I like the idea of them all being a tight-knit found family. A powerful troupe of misfit kids who faced abandonment, who'd literally kill for each other, whose circumstances were tragic and nonetheless brought them together somehow.

Sometimes I think about my experiences as an aro wlm. I’ve seen like, a couple of posts wanting more aro het women to talk about how they navigate gender and dating and attraction and how it differs from allocishet women, and I have a few thoughts on it. Growing up, I knew a lot of allocishet women. And I think if someone were to ask me if I related to their experiences, I would have to answer….
It depends.
There were plenty of times where I did feel alienated by allocishet women. Talk about crushes tends to alienate me by default because I didn’t really get them. But I think the greatest tell as to whether or not I would relate to, or at least understand, an allocishet woman and her experiences with attraction or gender, is kind of defined by how much she buys into tropes about women and how they should want men.
In society, there’s been a lot of expectations about the ways women should want love. In the environment that I grew up in, a lot of women are supposed to want to be wives, not lovers. A lot of women are supposed to want the role of being a wife, but you aren’t supposed to have sex before marriage. It’s not just about the man you fell in love with, it’s about fulfilling a plan. A plan which I see many allocishets more than happy to fulfil.
And well, I just couldn’t relate to that. The allocishet women who I relate to, are the women who don’t feel completely comfortable with the arrangement either. Allocishet women who don’t want marriage, who are serial daters. Allocishet women who are polyam, or who don’t want children, or who are in or want a breadwinner wife/househusband arrangement with their partners, or who are kinky in some way. I have seen myself and my thoughts and desires reflected in certain allocishet autistic women too, especially when they write about how autism affects the way they navigate relationships. Allocishet women who, in some way, defied the standard narrative of becoming a wife and mother.
In some ways, aromantism prevented me from having a very “typical” girlhood. No first crushes, no handsome prince narrative, no fantasy of a wedding day. To me, my girlhood was a girl going on adventures with fairy friends to stop the wicked goblins. It was a girl proving her power and skills to doubting boys and earning their respect. It was a magic user learning of injustice and doing all that was in her power to stop it. And this is just my truth and how aromantism affected my experiences with gender. But if you asked me whether or not I related to allocishet women, I would answer with “it depends”. Was wanting to marry a prince a huge part of her childhood fantasies, or did she see herself more in the witch wanting to stop grave injustice from happening?
