you hum quietly to the low volume tune coming from your phone. you scroll through your social media, looking to find something interesting to view.

it’s late at night, or morning. 1:34. you tend to drown yourself in your own free time at the peak hour of nighttime since your schedules were always left till late. you didn’t always have much time during lit hours to yourself. this often resulted in sleepless nights but it was worth the sacrifice you made to ease tension.

your room is dimly lit with nothing but the glowing orange from the ambient lamp that sat on your bedside table.

at first you fail to notice, but the door of your bedroom slowly opens leading to the pitch black hallway on the outside. you jump in shock from the sudden sound of creaking, your quick to turn your head towards the door. you can feel your heat pounding from the base of your chest, diaphragm contracting at speed, making you breathe quickly.

your face of shock quickly turns to one of concern when you see your youngest member eunchae in the frame of your door. despite the dim lighting you can easily make out the glistening of tear streams on her cheeks.

“unnie,” eunchae’s voice breaks at the first spoken words.

you don’t take time to get out of bed and embrace her in a hug. she puts her face in the crook of your neck as she starts to uncontrollably cry quite loudly.

“what?” you say repeatedly, gently stroke her head as you did so, “what’s wrong, baby?”

after a good minute of a good cry she’s able to speak up; with a croaky voice.

“i had a bad dream,” she sniffles, pouting her lip out making your heart melt.

“oh, eunchae,” you caress her cheeks, wiping her tears along the way, “do you need to talk about it?”

“mmhm,” you can see tears forming in her eyes again, “i-i got pulled from the group, and i wasn’t allowed to see anyone again.”

“eunchae,” you comfort her, “you are never leaving and we all love you so much. you are quite literally the most crucial member in the team, we wouldn’t be le sserafim without you. mubank wouldn���t be the same without you. you are the most maknae do all maknaes to exist. the fans just wouldn’t accept a team without our hong eunchae!”

she cracks a smile from the joke, her more lighthearted expression floods you with relief, which makes you smile in return.

“you want to sleep with me just for tonight?” a suggestion that had first come to your mind when she had stepped into the door.

“yeah,” she says.

you both climb into your bed and you shuffle to the side you felt most unfamiliar. you let eunchae into the spot were lying in earlier to give her a better sense of warmth. you can see how tired she is with drooping eyes and swollen features. she turns on her side to cuddle up against your chest.

“unnie, i miss my mum so much,” she whispers, “and i feel bad saying that ‘cos i cant imagine how you and yunjin unnie feel about missing your family.”

“i know sweetheart, you know your mum is looking out for you all the time! and when she can’t be there, we’ll look after you, i’ll give you that promise,” you smile to her, “you don’t need to feel bad just because they aren’t in the country, whether they are or aren’t, we all miss our parents either way, there’s not much we can change sadly.”

“i’m sorry, unnie”

“it’s okay, eunchae,” you reassure her, “just rest.”

a kiss on the head and the silence after ‘goodnight’ was a good indicator of the conversation’s end. you wait, widely awake until you can hear and see her breathing begin to even, a soft breath in and out, steadily. when that moment arrives you allow yourself to let go and get a rest for the day ahead.

as the morning arises you miss the worried screech of chaewon’s voice, both you and eunchae still deep in sleep.

“eunchae is missing!!” she yells, “yunjin, where’s eunchae she’s not in her room!”

chaewon hesitantly opens the door of your room, but her stressed body is washed with sweet comfort and relief when she sees eunchae peacefully sleeping in your doona, cuddled up to your resting body.

OOF SO TIRED. Anyways, here they are!!! Ash and Em(ery)! They took about 14 hours to complete! These are their designs when they are about 16 years old, in 2015. Their clothes probably vary from loop to loop, but everything else usually stays the same. Click for better quality because it is detailed I think but tumblr still killed it. Also there are design notes!

LORE DUMP BELOW (this is stuff i brainstormed over the past few days hehe):

-Both grew up in the Sanctum, both are orphans. Em’s parents are alive, Ash’s are dead.

-born 1999, Em in February, Ash in July.

-Both are sorcerers. Emery is proficient in offensive magic, and Ash is better at defensive magic.

-Ash and Emery learn about the loop near the very beginning, by accident. They tell the Ancient One who learns the loop cannot be broken and decides to use a memory erasing spell on the two. Unfortunately the spell goes wrong. This leads to Ash and Em remembering every subsequent time loop.

-They figure out who exactly is causing the loop after a few dozen loops— Holly and Co.

-Cursed with the knowledge of the loop, unable to grow up or move on, Ash and Em try different methods to figure out how to release everyone. This involves anything from attempting to keep Iris and Holly away from eachother as long as possible, or outright killing either of them. They figure out after more trial and error that Holly’s death causes a reset.

-Ash performs spells frequently to make the pair forget any of the darker things they’ve done, with only a vague “we did that already, don’t do it” triggered in their minds whenever they think of doing it again.

-They pity Holly, vaguely, but resent her immensely. For obvious reasons.

Iris annoys them, but they’ve figured out long ago they can’t really change her behavior. They know of Gray and Izzy, but neither play a huge part in Holly’s deaths 75% of the time.

-They have summoned Mephisto, and have even fought him before, but he always either kills them or kinda just laughs at them and flicks them away like little bugs. They’ve tried bartering, promising their souls, pretty much everything. He rejects them, and seems to delight in their suffering.

-They are super super close, and extremely dependent on one another. They’re past any sort of knowable bond (romance, platonic, etc.), and somewhat in the realm of literally two halves of the same person. They know one another perfectly.

-They have had arguments that spanned a couple decades, where they just. Ignore each other for loops at a time. But they always make up in the end.

-Have canonically lived hundreds of thousands of years. Em knows everything there is to know about 2010s marine biology. Ash is really good at art, if he could only retain the muscle memory.

-They have also convinced the sorcerers at the sanctum/any available avengers to come help fight Mephisto a few dozen times but it never goes well. Mostly because Mephisto never shows up to any challenge.

-The two have left Earth a few hundred times but never really find it interesting in space.

-Emery is a somewhat obsessive planner, and has the strength to execute any plans- by force of will, or magical strength. She is smart and strong, and knows it. She has a problem where she often thinks she knows better than others (mostly Ash), but Ash hates it when he feels as if he’s doing something “for his own good” or being ordered around. Em often ignores other people’s advice as well, but Ash gently reminds her that she does need to listen to what other people say, and that other perspectives matter.

-Ash is more laid back, but is smart as well. His is more of a subtle intelligence, more emotionally attuned. He’s less strategic, but he can predict what people think and how they will act, even outside of the timeloop. He thinks often of other people’s perspectives, and is more lenient towards Holly’s mistake than Em is (but just by a fraction). It’s hard to make him mad, but if you do, know he has Emery’s full support behind him. He is stands up to Em’s bossiness just fine.

-that’s all for now but I have TONS more info so if you have questions, just ask!!! I’ve probably thought about it at some point. Or I will. Work is a great place to brainstorm oc stuff.

The Psychickers and the main idiots all join together through their shared common link, of course. Saiki, once he gets to a better mental state, finally begins having consistent heats. And of course, everyone is clamoring for the opportunity to be close and snuggle to the guy. Heats are designed to bring packs together, to form bonds and connections between people. With their purring pack omega smelling of joy and love, it would have been nearly impossible for them not to join in on those feelings and get along with each other. From there, it kind of just all falls into place.

Kuboyasu and Saiki are essentially leaders of the pack, even if it's not really said out loud. It's basically the same thing as their canon co-parent roles lol. Kuboyasu takes pride in how well he can provide for Saiki, and is also on the traditional side, so this means Saiki receives a lot of courting gifts and home-cooked meals. It weird out Saiki at first because he thinks of those as things his mom does, and by extension, a traditional omega. Kuboyasu just explains to him how he should be able to take care of Saiki in case something were to happen, and how he needed to prove himself a worthy mate to his inner omega. And instead of getting defensive like he usually does when Kusuke or Kuniharu attempt to talk the same way, Saiki kind of just melts. It's because the way Kuboyasu talks about him makes it seem like they're equals and he's doing all of that because he cares for Saiki. The other two do it because they care about their designations, and believe it's just the way of things.

Also, a lot of Teruhashi's arc is similar to Saiki's in a way (learning to let others take care of them authentically, letting themselves be seen, etc.), but Teruhashi's more settles on her learning to be willing to concede to someone else every so often. Saiki's role as pack omega is kind of hard for her to accept at first, but she eventually realizes that she's just... not really interested in it beyond the degree of control it offers. Once she accepts Saiki as someone competent and willing to accept her as less than perfect, she's a lot happier. She's still a bit distant with Kuboyasu at times, but she's coming to understand that his actions come out of genuine affection, not lust or attraction.

Additionally, Toritsuka and Aiura are both very attracted to Saiki actually! A lot of Toritsuka's advancements tend to be, oddly enough, on the shyer side (It's because he's genuinely attracted to Saiki, rather than just stuck with a week-long infatuation). Aiura is smooth enough to make even Saiki flush sometimes, but she tones it down a lot once she realizes his attraction to Kuboyasu. They're still platonic soulmates. All together, these two provide one of the best examples of alphas being willing to listen to Saiki when he's being his true, authentic self, unlike his family. Their influence on his opening up with the others cannot be overstated.

As for Akechi... their relationship will be discovered a bit more in the first coming chapter :3

Has it ever been mentioned if Tai and Summer we actually romantically involved? Maybe it's just me but the scene where they talk didnt feel like a married couples and more like really good friends. It would be interesting if Tai isnt actually ruby's father and him and summer decided to just co-parent ruby and yang to give them a normal family life. I just feel icky that tai ran to summer as soon as raven left.

Obviously it's entirely personal what does or does not feel "icky" to you, though it if helps, I frequently remind myself that RWBY has nonexistent timelines. Like, by the writers own admission none of this has been thought out. So if you get into the nitty-gritty and start asking questions like, "How long was Raven gone before Tai became romantically involved with Summer?" yeah, you might run into some timing snags that impact our overall view of the relationships. However, that's not because the writers wanted to engage with that kind of complicated dynamic, but simply because they throw out plot-points and ages without ever thinking through with how those two things intersect. I feel similarly regarding the "Yang raised Ruby" fanon (which is fanon and I find it frustrating that much of Volume 9's sisterly interactions, like Yang standing in front of Blake, have been squeezed through this largely unsupported lens of, "Well, Yang is basically Ruby's second mom so that's why this moment is wholesome and not a super weird animation choice) which doesn't hold up upon scrutiny, at least not without a lot of assumptions. If you start thinking about when Raven left, when Summer left, Ruby and Yang's ages, when they were both born, the adventure into the woods, them starting their training young enough to get into Signal, who was supposedly around when, what's a literal fact and what's just someone's emotional interpretation of events... any simple timeline falls apart. There are simply too many contradictions and vague claims to map out a coherent, canonical timeline. We can assume and headcanon many options, but they remain just that: assumptions and headcanons.

BUT that means there's plenty of space for your interpretation, anon. For me personally, I don't think RWBY is ever going to reveal that Tai isn't Ruby's dad and I read the not-very-romantic-y interaction between him and Summer as simply indicative of RWBY's overall approach to romance. After all, Blake and Yang have been in love for several Volumes now, but up until the big kiss all they did was hold hands. However, what RWBY puts on screen is what they've put on screen, which means it's perfectly valid to watch something that looks fairly platonic and extrapolate from there. One of the things the RWBY fandom needs to get better about is allowing the prevalence of fanon to produce outright anger over other ideas. Fans harass others for arguing that it's unlikely Yang actually raised Ruby, or theorizing that Qrow might be Ruby's dad, or writing fics where Blake and Yang are in different relationships. There's such a focus on maintaining the One True Fanon that it obliterates the very purpose of fanworks. We're meant to be transforming the canon in ways that please us and, if we're up to sharing it, pleasing an audience of like-minded folks too. Why would you want to adhere to just one standard telling? That's boring. That's just canon 2.0. You might as well watch RWBY, watch one other version of it (like Ice Queendom) and call it a day if you're not willing to allow a wide variety of creative content to exist. You don't have to engage with it, no one says it has to be your personal cup of tea, but leave fans who want to play with the fictional dolls their way alone. The internet is a big place and the block button doesn't have a limit.

I've often talked about how it hurt Agatha and Simon in much more direct and invasive ways (comphet). They're the damsel/prize and the hero who were pushed into a performance of traditional straight conventions, which wasn't what either of them wanted, but they were unable to see outside of it. They were friends, and they could see the other was pretty (not remembering if Agatha talks about Simon being handsome directly, but she does talk about how beautiful and handsome his parents were, so). But they weren't in love, and weren't sexually attracted. However, heteronormativity tells you than a boy and girl being able to see the other is pretty is enough to believe there's attraction.

Agatha and Simon share a braincell a lot, and they villanized Baz (~The Villain~) in the same silly, over-the-top fairytale style (srly Agatha? Poison in tea?) as if Baz was gonna show up with his widows' peak and dark eyeshadow wearing a long, dramatic ass cape to Evily Steal Away Agatha (did they seriously imagine Baz as a classical queercoded villain? Simon does say he looks like an alluring old black and white movie actor when he just wakes up... I joke but also, wait a minute–). Baz fell for the same fairytale bs too. He didn't know shit about their relationship but imagined they "stood in front of the sunset, looking into each others' eyes while the wind caressed their hair with romantic drama" or some shit, and he thought that based on optics alone ("the golden couple") (WS tell us he did watch movies such as the Princess Bride, which has this kind of imagery). Most importantly, it made Baz afraid. He felt much safer pretending to be interested in the girl than letting Simon know his true feelings. He imagined Simon seeing him as monstrous (and given how often his vampirism is tied to his queerness, well).

Heteronormativy also tells us that platonic love is "impossible" between boy and girl. That girls must compete over a boy's attention, that a girlfriend must be the most important girl in his life, and female friends are not to be trusted. Simon's closest friends are girls, and while this bullshit never got between his friendship with Penny, it did affect the dynamic of the trio. Agatha felt like the third wheel–like she wasn't as close to either Simon or Penny as they were to each other, which can be isolating, given that they don't mention other really close friends outside of the trio. From her POV she felt left out, like what she wanted didn't matter as much, like she wasn't as important (even though the "gf is supposed to be the most important") and she was the one burdened with expectations while Penny could just be Simon's friend, free from it all, even though "they liked each other better". It'd feel unfair, and there's jealousy and resentment there, but it's not romantic. These are complex and very valid feelings for a teenage girl in her position, but it was flattened and reframed as "hetero competition" with Penny (as if romance's the only valid form of closeness between girls and boys) producing the truly cringe-inducing exchange "you're my girl" "Penny's your girl".

And Penny could sense this. She could sense something was fucking with the trio, but she didn't fully understand why. She was just like "what did y'all have to date??" but didn't go much deeper. She gets close when she thinks Agatha "isn't suited at all" to be Simon's girlfriend, but that she's still Simon's friend, one of Simon's only friends. And the way she thinks about this implies she has been thinking about this for a long time, maybe she was even vocal about it. "Has Simon finally realized?" she wonders, mistakenly assuming that Simon not wanting to leave Baz's house was about "not wanting to get back together with Agatha" when it was about not wanting to leave Baz.

That's another thing: Penny didn't pick up on the vibes between Simon and Baz. I know Simon's Baz-related behavior around her can feel so obvious to the reader that there's the temptation to say Penny suspected, but let me tell y'all: she did not suspect shit. She didn't!

It took until Penny watched Baz homosexually embrace Simon while calling him "love" for her to understand. Only then does she think "everything is starting to make sense" meaning that she's able to look back and understand in hindsight that there was no heterosexual explanation for the obsession those two had for each other. Only then. She didn't pick it up at Baz's house: she looked at them and basically thought "when this truce is over and they go their separate ways" while the reader knows those two are already on kissing terms. She saw Baz looking a little crazy at the thought of Simon running (or literally flying) into danger, and she was like "mayhaps there are leftover feelings from their rivalry?". She went along with Simon's stalking at first, she sat down with Simon to watch Baz play football while wearing his little shorts and she didn't pick up shit. She had to limit Simon's "Baz-talk" so they wouldn't just talk about Baz 24/7 and she still didn't suspect shit!! While that's partly just being clueless about romance, it's heteronormativity too: seeing what's classic, obvious crush behavior to the reader but not being able to realize what she's seeing (at least in part) because it's two boys. It only becomes obvious to her once they're "explicitly" behaving like a couple. (Then again, Simon was so unhinged about it you can't blame her for electing to just tune it out lol)

I've never been much of a BruThalia shipper, probably bc in my first introduction to Thalia she was a manipulative lover and Not A Good Mom. There was really only one dynamic I liked for them, and it wasn't romantic. It was the Amicable Exes.

In my mind, they met during some crisis, fell into a passionate, whirlwind romance, and when the dust settled and they transitioned into a more "domestic" relationship, they realized they just didn't work together. So they mutually broke up and went their separate ways.

When Thalia learned she was pregnant, she went straight to Bruce and discussed it with him. They agreed that even with a child involved, they still wouldn't work as a couple, and didn't want their child growing up seeing that. They came up with a plan to effectively and fairly co-parent, and when Damian arrived, everything went as peachy as it could considering the lives his parent led.

Over time, the romantic feelings Bruce and Thalia held for each other faded. They both still held a special place in each other's hearts, but that love was platonic, and their relationship was even better for it. They were best friends, raising a child together with love and trying not to let their jobs clash as much as before.

Conversely, I came upon a BruThalia romantic dynamic I really could get behind. I misread brutalia as brutality, and my mind went zoot. The darkest Bruce with the darkest Thalia.

After Jason's death but before Tim came along, a grief-stricken Bruce went to Thalia, looking to feel something other than loss. She did just that, in the only way Ra's taught her to. She marinated Bruce in anger, redirecting his pain. He latched onto it like a liferaft, his mind getting darker and darker, darker than Thalia thought it could. But instead of being scared of him, Thalia followed. They always did feed off each other, just a bit.

Murder is still a line Bruce won't cross, a boundary Thalia can respect. In many ways, the fucked up shit Bruce turned to was a fate worse than death, anyway. Bruce drops the Batman mantle and is referred to as simply The Bat. He leans into the fear aspect of his suit design, and the pair combine their skills, interests and resources to hunt down the most egregious of criminals. Human traffickers, eugenicists, unfettered and immoral capitalists, you name it. Thalia accepts that Bruce will never take over Ra's' position in the LOA, and instead the two start their own "branch" of the League. The Harbingers.

For the first couple months after Bruce goes AWOL, Dick scours the earth to find him. But when Gotham starts to feel the effects of Batman's absence, he returns to take on the cowl, no matter how much he doesn't want to. Noticing Batman's return, Tim makes himself known and becomes Robin. At this point, the entire JL is looking for Bruce. But they don't like what they find.

On the first anniversary of Jason’s death, Thalia gives Bruce a gift. Jason. At first, Jason is livid when he learns Joker still breathes, but after a visit to the basement, he anger is replaced by fear. Of Bruce. How could the same man who taught Jason to see the best in people do such horrible things to another person? But Jason’s fear is not outweighed by his love for Bruce. He knows that if he were to leave, Bruce would fall even further in his grief, and Jason doesn't want any more of his father's pain to be caused by him. So he stays, he trains, he comes to the same mindset, and he becomes a valued member of the Harbingers.

The entire Justice League is on the hunt for Bruce, Thalia, Jason and the Harbingers. Some just want to bring such maniacs to justice, but the founding members want to bring them home. Clark and Diana in particular. But eventually, Alfred and Dick come to terms with the fact that the man Alfred raised, who in turn raised Dick, was now their greatest foe. And Clark is now the only one who holds out hope that Bruce can be saved. But if he's really honest with himself, there is no saving The Bat.

black eagles relationships i like but don’t see talked about enough

Ferdinand and Petra - I adore their supports. You see a lot of Ferdinand’s dorky side with his reading about historic weapons, and you see that he is genuinely curious about Petra’s culture. He admits that he initially didn’t realize how sophisticated Brigidian techniques are and I just adore his vulnerability with her. And then there’s Petra in their A support, admitting she found a second home in Fòdlan, and the two discuss their loneliness? It’s such interesting insight into both characters (especially Ferdie; I’d say these are some of his most well-rounded supports)

Hubert and Dorothea - Dorothea sees right through Hubert’s edgy theatre kid persona. She approaches him like she would any friend right from the beginning and teases him about his love life. She also respects and believes him when he says that unrequited love isn’t his motivation. I would’ve liked a conclusion that wasn’t Dorothea suggesting they marry, but it is really funny that she did that. I love their paired ending too--completely platonic espionage opera! What could be better?

Hubert and Byleth - in my head they have a quirky sitcom where Byleth keeps trying to arrange Edeleth/Ferdibert double dates and Hubert has to attend them. (but seriously, the appeal of Hubert is looking at this man and saying “I’m gonna make you like me”, and then you do it). Outside of my shipping biases, his threats to you are funny as shit considering that he has no power over you and he’s always dying in battle, but once you win his trust he admits that despite looking Blatantly Evil, he truly abhors TWSTID and is already planning their follow-up war. I could easily see him and Byleth co-leading the war in the shadows (and that’s where the dialogue of the aforementioned platonic Huleth workplace comedy takes place). Also my friend who played as m!Byleth told me the “we could be a couplet of birds” line in the A-support still exists regardless of gender. Hubert is demiromantic bi and you CANNOT change my mind 

Edelgard and Petra - “Don’t settle for being the bird. Be the arrow instead” Both have a great deal of mutual respect for each other, even though Edelgard is heir to the nation that has kept Petra’s country down for years. You see the same beliefs Petra holds in her supports with Caspar here--that being, “we are not our parents, we can make different choices”. It’s a shame they only have 2 supports. I think it would’ve been cool to see Petra asking Edelgard for Brigidian independence or otherwise talking about how she can achieve her goal. 

Edelgard and Linhardt - I actually think people talk about this a bit, but it’s one of my favourite Black Eagles support chains so I have to mention it. This one is the key to understanding that Edelgard’s better world is only possible in her route, when she has the support and opportunity to trust others enough to learn how to listen to them and consider their perspectives. I advise anyone who thinks Edelgard would be a brutal dictator to watch these supports, because they so blatantly contradict that idea? Linhardt initially frustrates her because she knows he’s talented and smart but he doesn’t want to do anything to help the world with that. Characters like Linhardt are usually given an arc in which they overcome an initial selfishness to help others. This is not that. These supports are about Edelgard learning to understand Linhardt and accommodate him. Edelgard agonizes over finding the perfect way to allow him to do his research in a way that suits him--and when she senses his hesitation at her initial plan, she presses him for the problem and reconfigures the idea because she won’t put him in a situation he’s not fully content in. This is astounding character growth (from both of them, but mostly Edelgard). Also the struggle depicted in this chain is just something that spoke to me when I first saw it--”be useful” versus “learn for knowledge’s sake” is pretty much my exact struggle in life 😂 Seeing two of my favourite characters reach a resolution that satisfied both of them was hopeful, to say the least. 

Caspar and Ferdinand - What strikes me about their supports is that it compares and contrasts these characters’ ideas of justice against each other. Honestly, the Black Eagles as a whole have takes on morality that are just slightly skewed, and these characters’ arguments about it exemplify it. Caspar just thinks that people who hurt others should be hit right away, head empty no thoughts but j u s t i c e. Ferdinand initially believes that all sense of justice comes from being nobility, and with that comes an obligation to be morally superior. Having Caspar just go “uh yeah, what does nobility have to do with it? I just had to hit that guy” is one way in which Ferdinand’s ideals are challenged. It’s a cool contrast that I think highlights an interesting aspect of the Black Eagles and what they were taught. 

Dorothea and Bernie - I love everything about their interaction. If Dorothea were a lesser character, she’d be the mean popular girl who shames Bernie for her messy hair and her anxiety. Instead, Dorothea is patient and Bernie is like “oh no she’s Too Cool for me”. Dorothea also makes note of what Bernie says as she gets too anxious to continue the interaction and aims to comfort her in their next support. We get a good Bernie character moment in their B-support, where she mentions her father ruining her friendship with a commoner boy--and a cathartic moment where Dorothea tells her that her father’s an asshole and that they’re going to be friends anyway. Bernie cries in Dorothea’s arms and AHHHH why didn’t we get MORE of this???

Bernie and Petra - If I could add any support and ending to the game, it would be Bernie/Petra. They have such a good starting point--because of Bernie’s anxiety and Petra being a second language speaker of Fòdlandish, they are prone to miscommunications (which is the general theme of early Bleagles supports). They had a nice 2-support arc where they understand each other a little better--but then there’s the paralogue, where Petra encourages Bernie to come to her homeland with her and Bernie realizes she wants to travel and see amazing things like carnivorous plants. This is fantastic character development for her and is a satisfying conclusion to her arc. I feel like most of Bernie’s endings involve her just reverting back to her hermit self instead of developing a balance between who she was at the beginning and who she’s grown into. I think Petra would offer to let her come to Brigid again, where she helps her navigate a new language and culture. Bernie’s anxiety is still bad but Petra has been in her position and can offer advise and reassurance. Petra is also patient and would give Bernie a safe little house near the carnivorous plants for her to retreat to when overwhelmed. It becomes both of their refuge, with Petra taking time away from her regal duties to spend time with Bernie and her art and her stories. Whether it’s romantic or platonic is up to preference but I low-key ship them 😏

Being an adventurer was a difficult job. Being a mother was also quite difficult. Being both was even worse.

Completing quests and going on daring missions was one of your favorite things to do, but protecting Ella was your priority.

Your five-year-old was your pride and joy, the best thing to ever happen to you, despite you having her at a young age. You and your daughter lived a happy life that you kept completely separate from your adventurer work. Nobody except for Jean and Lisa even knew about Ella, as you preferred to leave her with a babysitter on the days you were around town.

Ella was with the babysitter now, as you were sitting at a desk in the library, researching more on Abyss Mages before taking on a commission that included them. Your mind wandered, though, imagining how Ella would make you play dolls with her when you got home. She’d then play by herself for a bit while you cooked dinner, only to bathe and fall asleep very quickly after that. Goodness, you really missed her-

“Y/N! Just the girl I was looking for.”

You peeked up from your book, quirking an eyebrow. “You were looking for me?”

“I just wanted to remind you about tonight.” Kaeya chuckled, laying his hand on the top of the sword attached to his hip. “You promised me you’d get a drink with me this evening, remember?”

Ah, shit. You did remember.

You’d lost a bet yesterday with Kaeya, and his reward was you stopping by Diluc’s tavern with him for a few drinks. You hadn’t drank since you became pregnant. Kaeya didn’t know this, of course. You’d only moved to Mondstadt a few months ago, but you’d become close friends with the Calvary Captain and the other knights.

Yet, you couldn’t bring yourself to tell everybody about your daughter. Especially those who you may be slightly... romantically interested in. You’d had men in your life before who knew of Ella. They’d ultimately left, leaving both you and your daughter heartbroken. You kept her a secret from then on, unable to put your daughter through that again.

“Yeah, yeah. I remember.”

“You better. I’ll pick you up from your place this evening.” Kaeya winked at you- or blinked, you really couldn’t tell with that god-awful eyepatch- and walked back to his own office. You blushed at the thought of being alone with him.

Was it like a date? Just two friends getting drinks after work? What? You slightly hoped for the former.

There was no denying that Kaeya was an extremely attractive individual. He was everything you wanted in a man, plus some. You often daydreamed about what it would be like to be with the Cryo user- how happy Ella would be around him and how well he may be with children. You imagined your family to be happy. But alas, that was just a daydream.

One that you had to quit imagining. You were getting too hopeful.

You shook your head and closed the book, deciding to head out of Mondstadt to complete the commission.

“Mommy!”

A grin appeared on your face as you scooped your daughter into your arms, spinning her around in a hug. Ella’s babysitter stood in the doorway with a smile on her face, watching your toddler tell you about her day.

You walked over to the older lady, smiling back apologetically. “I’m sorry to ask this, but I completely forgot that I had promised a co-worker to go out with them tonight. Would it be any hassle for you to keep her a little longer?”

“Of course not.” The sitter waved her hand and you set down Ella, who skipped to her room to play.

“Thank you so much,” You sighed, “I promise you’ll be compensated.”

She only laughed and turned to go into your daughter’s room, leaving you to head to yours.

You began getting ready, but you had to pause, feeling anxiety sink into your chest. It had been a while since you'd had feelings for someone and while this evening may be a casual, platonic outing to Kaeya, it was nothing less than nerve-wracking for you.

Was it platonic, though? Kaeya was always quite the flirter with you- but he was like that with others, too, wasn’t he? Was this a simple co-worker get-together, or was he picking you up from your house for a potential date?

Wait, picking you up from your house?

Kaeya was coming over to get you. To walk with you to the tavern.

You internally panicked. Ella always cried before you left and today was probably no exception. You weren’t ready for him to know about your daughter yet. That was something for when you were 100% sure he wouldn’t be weirded out. He wouldn’t, you were sure, but your nerves definitely told you otherwise.

“Miss Y/N? There’s someone at the door.”

You froze in your spot for a second, but thanked the babysitter and rushed to the front door.

“Hello little one.”

“My mommy’s in her room getting ready!”

“Oh, is she now? She’s getting all prettied up?”

“Mommy’s already pretty!”

“Aha, yes she is.”

You couldn’t help but wince at the sound of Ella and Kaeya’s voices. All secrets were out the window now, you supposed. You came to the doorway and scooped Ella into your arms, giving Kaeya a weary smile.

“I’m sorry for making you wait, I’m ready when you are.”

Kaeya chuckled, “Let’s go, then. I do believe that we have a lot to talk about now.”

You sighed and put your daughter down, giving her a kiss on the forehead before following Kaeya to the tavern. The walk was silent, but your mind wasn’t. You were dreading whatever “talk” Kaeya had mentioned, already fearing the worst. He’s a rather liberated man- there’s no way he’d be interested in a girl with a kid, right? That would tie him down too much.

Your panic attack was cut short as Kaeya entered the tavern and loudly greeted the people inside, leading you to a seat in the corner of the room. You sat silently, fiddling with your fingers and avoiding Kaeya’s gaze.

“So, when were you gonna tell anyone?” His voice made you look up.

“I mean, Jean and Lisa know...”

“And I didn’t? I thought we were close, Y/N.” There was an obvious joking tone to his voice, but you still felt a sharp pain in your heart. You felt guilty.

“I just don’t want a lot of people knowing of Ella. It gets complicated, especially being an adventurer with some enemies. Friendships can get complicated, too.” And relationships, you refrained from saying. “Please don’t see me any differently-“

“See you any differently? Why would I do that?” Kaeya furrowed his eyebrows. “I already adore having one of you around, so it’s even better that you’ve got a cute little mini-me running around too. I understand it gets hard, but you’ve got Jean and Lisa, and now me, to help you out. I’ve only met her once, but I love her already.”

Your chest warmed at his words and you gave him a small smile. Kaeya returned it and looked down at the table, reaching towards your hand and giving it a tight squeeze. “There are no ill feelings towards you just because of that. Some people aren’t too supportive of single parents, but that’s not who I am. Anything you need, you can count on Kaeya to help.”

“Thank you...”

You squeezed his hand back and he beckoned a waiter over. The evening was spent drinking and laughing, never once releasing hands.

Platonic Headcanons W/ The LOV

Tomura Shigaraki:

Tomura can tolerate you more than he tolerates the others in the beginning. You’re quiet so he doesn't mind if you stick around him as long as you don’t go through his stuff. After a while, he’s a bit more brotherly- letting you stay near him, keeping a constant check on your security blanket, stealing things if you need something and etc. 

He treats you younger than you actually are. Even before he had control of his quirk, he would give you headpats- privately- and often just give you candy. He doesn’t really mind the whole non-expressiveness of you- he actually prefers it. It does make it harder to know if you’re actually troubled by something he says but it’s whatever. Tomura is expressive enough for the both of you.

If he were to find out about your past, his reaction would depend on how he found out. If he finds out about someone else, he’s not going to bring it up around you- it’s not that he doesn’t care but you didn’t say anything so you obviously wanted to keep quiet about it. If you told him- well, he’s not the best at comforting. He’ll pat your back and give condolences- and then it’ll be tense and he’ll ask if you want to play co-op.

When Tomura sees you laugh for the time- the little bursts of laughter that escapes past your lips as you cover your hand, he’s going to smirk. He won’t seek out your laughter, but if you happen to laugh because of something in particular, he’s going to make sure the incident happens again when you’re in the vicinity. 

Tomura is like a big brother- kind of off-putting, a bit scary, but he means well. He makes sure that you’re fed but he also leaves you to your own devices unless you seek him out. He’ll make use of your quirk by either in fighting or just lounging around and making stuff levitate towards the both of you. He’s fond of you- you’re in the League and you’re family.

Dabi:

Dabi is dismissive of you at first. He doesn’t care why you’re in the League and he doesn't really care that you're inexpressive. If you two happen to partner up during a mission, he’s going to watch out for you because that’s what supposed to happen- you can’t afford failure. As time goes on, he’s more acknowledging of you. He’ll roll his eyes if you rest your head on his arm but he won’t move and will prevent people from waking you up.

You gain another brother figure with Dabi. He treats you your age but with that, he’s also a bit rougher on you- rough housing and holding things above your head to try to get a rise out of you. It’s sibling teasing- nothing truly hostile. If you let him, he’ll try to warm up your blanket or something. 

He’s blunt but he also likes to act like he doesn’t care. But when you two happen to be alone, he’s going to bring it up. He’s curious. He’ll nudge your leg, pour you a drink but won’t comment if you refuse to drink and he’ll just ask. If you don’t want to tell him- he’ll drop it; whatever. But it does sting a bit that you aren’t willing to share. If you tell him- he’ll be a bit understanding, a little softer around you. He won’t treat you particularly any differently but he will feel slightly guilty for prodding and will do most of the heavy lifting for the next mission.

If you were to laugh around him- he’s probably going to be joining in. He has an infectious laughter- or more like a snicker if you two aren’t alone- so it’ll bring more laughter out of you. He’s going to pat your head roughly and call you “kid” or “punk” and that’ll be that. Afterwards, he’s seen with his legs thrown on top of yours while he’s watching the television or on his phone.

Dabi is a teasing older brother- always wanting to get a rise out of you but the only moment he’s mellow and quiet is when you’re addressing his wounds. You’ll clean around the staples, sooth over the rough skin and try to make it painless as possible while you bandage him up. It’s these times where he’ll put his hand on your shoulder and mutter words of gratefulness. 

Himiko Toga:

Himiko absolutely adores you. You’re her big sister and she just loves to drag you around and put makeup on you. She likes having another girl. With just her and Magne, it can get lonely especially since Magne isn’t close to her age. Himiko will treat you older than you actually are- begging you to let her drink alcohol and wanting you to spoil her since she’s your little sister.

Himiko is often seen clinging onto you, swinging her legs or skipping in front of you while she talks about her day. She loves you. With that in mind- she feels like she can relate a lot to you. The rest of the League are older- they aren’t into ”childish” things but when you come in, you can see the change in demeanor. She’s giddier, a lot more willing to listen to something if you’re the one telling her or if you accompany her. 

Finding out about your past is tricky for her. She can’t relate to the death of parents like that, but she can understand that you aren’t feeling good- that you’re hurting and uncomfortable with the information she learned. She’ll suck in a harsh breath and ask if you want a hug. She’s going to hug you no matter your answer. She’ll wrap her arms tightly around you and bury her face into your neck and she’ll tell you that you two are family now and she won’t be leaving.

Seeing you laugh makes her want to laugh and keep bringing out your smile. Whatever you found humorous, she’s replicating it and mentioning it until your sides hurt. She loves your smile so much and will comment about it until you’re smiling again. She doesn’t mind the whole inexpressiveness, but she really appreciates knowing that you’re genuinely happy around her.

If you take care of her, she’s going to appreciate it so much. She’ll want a sleepover right after, and will snuggle up to you. Himiko still has this smile on her but it’s softer and her voice is a gentle whisper. She loves her family and she’s happy that you’re a part of it. She won’t let you forget that- not now and not ever.

Atsuhiro Sako:

Atsuhiro tries to be a father figure towards you- trying to maintain responsibility for you and whatnot but he comes off more as a nagging older brother. Like Tomura, he treats you younger than you. You are more reserved than Himiko- your reserved nature versus her energetic one. He sees you as a sort of quiet child.

However, every little action that he does is more like a nagging, overprotective brother. He’ll wrap a scarf around your neck and dot on you. He does his best to keep you safe during a mission, making sure things get done quickly and with little damage to either of you.  He means well- he assumes your whole reserved and inexpressiveness nature is due to something traumatic and because of that he just wants to make you feel like a kid again.

Finding out about your past is a bit of a shock for him. He really didn’t expect that- he expected a bit more and oh wow, that sounds awful and he’s quickly apologizing to you. He really didn’t mean to be dismissive of it and he’ll ask if you’re okay and no matter the answer, he places a reassuring hand on yours and tells you that he’s always willing to listen if you ever feel the need to talk about it.

He’s a performer at heart. You’re reserved- that’s fine but he does want to see you smile. Once he does, he’s sort of teasing. This is when you see him be an annoying older brother who gives you such a smug grin and ruffles your hair. He’s annoying and trying to make you smile and it works and you’re annoyed but he’s grinning and he’s going to run his mouth while telling you absolutely awful jokes.

You and him work rather well together, quirks working seamlessly and it’s one of the stronger pair-ups that the team has- both tactical and strength wise. Once he loses his arm, he relies a bit more on you. He smiles softly to himself when you offer to look at the residual limb and he’ll shake his head- you all have seen things, but he doesn’t think you should get a clear view of something like that. He knows you mean well, and he’ll pat your head affectionately and make you leave the room with the blanket wrapped tightly around your shoulders.

Shuichi Iguchi:

Shuichi is probably the most that you can get along with. While Tomura is also a bit of a recluse, he also has a mouth on him and much of his emotions are sinister. Shuichi grew up being hated and ignored and can somewhat relate to your quiet disposition. He lets you stick around him the most with least complaint and won’t force you to show emotion.

He’s kind of like a cousin. You’re close with him but also not entirely. Due to the others being a bit more emotional, they earn sibling titles but he’s a bit more reserved unless something actively gets him going. He lets you chill around him and won’t say much about your blanket, but will make sure that it isn’t displaced. He understands the value of comfort objects.

If he were to learn your past, he can probably relate. He grew up ostracized because of his appearance and while you weren’t loathed like he was, he understands the feeling. He’s still socially awkward afterwards, placing a hand on your knee rather roughly and telling you that you can talk to him. 

Seeing you laugh is surprising to him. He’s a bit dumbfounded for a moment before resuming to whatever he was doing. He’s fond of you and if you happen to comment on the action, with a smile cracking out, he’s going to keep the conversation lingering on said topic.

As mentioned, Shuichi’s childhood wasn’t exactly comforting. You’re quiet and it can come off rather cold so when you address his wounds, he’s kinda just grumpy about it. He doesn’t know if you’re analyzing him or actually taking interest in making him feel better. When he finds out that you genuinely care for him, he’s patting your head and he feels a bit softer for you.

Jin Bubaigawara:

Jin is the fun uncle. He’s lifting you up and spinning you around and much like others, treating you younger than you. He’s letting you hang around him, offering to give you a piggyback ride and whatnot. He wants you to have fun and let loose. He’ll push for you and Himiko to hang out more.

If you’re willing to listen to him, he’s willing to listen to you. He cares for you deeply and will protect you. You’re his friend and he won’t let anything bad happen to you. You wanna stay quiet? That’s perfectly fine. He’s the type to make sure that you’re just enjoying yourself.

Jin can relate the most to you. He gets the orphan situation better than the rest, he understands life dealing with an awful deck and making people suffer. He’s loud and has a mouth on him, but during your tale, he’s quiet and he’ll hug you tightly. You’re family now. You’re never going to be alone and he’s going to make sure of that. It’s the warmest and tightest hug you’ve gotten in a while.

You laugh around him- he’s going to be searching for that high. He’s so ecstatic and jumping at the opportunity to hear it again. Pulling out all the stops and making snide comments in hopes to see your smile again.

He likes staying around you. You’re reserved and listen to him and if you happen to be patching him up, he’s very grateful. He absolutely melts if you’re soft to him. Just slumping down the chair and leaning to your touch and he’s just really happy and bouncing his leg rapidly. 

Kenji Kikiishi:

Big sis Mag! Again, treats you younger than you actually are and probably is one of the ones you end up being closest to the fastest. She’s like the cool, older sister that you admire. She understands you resolve to want to have free quirk usage- it’s similar to hers and it's what makes you two so close. 

Once she learns your past, she tries to comfort you but there’s only so much she can do. She cares for you deeply and wants to see you smile but that’s up to you and she doesn’t want to be like the others who would force you to show emotion. 

Kenji likes being around you. You’re a nice change of pace compared to the others who are a bit more expressive with either their body language or words. 

Kurogiri:

Father like. While Kurogiri’s loyalty lies with Tomura, he’s also grown a soft spot for the rest of the League- including you. 

He’s a bit dismissive of your past- it doesn’t affect him nor does it affect anyone else but there’s also a small part where he’ll place a comforting hand on your shoulder and his voice goes rather soft and tight- his words are comforting and for a second, it’s like you’re talking to a different person.

He’s fond of you. You have a powerful quirk that’s useful and you don’t cause trouble to anyone so he’s fond of you.

Squirrel Girl is Super Gay for her Roommate and I Want Everyone to Know

ALRIGHT, SO The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl was the very first comic that I ever read regularly, back when I was looking for more stories with strong female protagonists but didn't really know why. Back then I just thought I really liked strong female characters and not that I was being gay on main, but now I know the truth. The comic had a 5-year run, and it was the first time that Squirrel Girl, AKA Doreen Green, had had her own series. She had a brief run in the mid-2000's where she was established as someone who could beat up Thanos with her bare hands well, more like squirrel hands but was mostly a joke character that happened to be incredibly buff and had indestructible plot armor. USG decided that Doreen's next major life goal would be to enroll in college to become a computer scientist, because her writer, Ryan North, is really into computer science and they basically gave him free rein over Squirrel Girl canon for five whole years. Like, a solid third of the plots are solved with some kind of computer science smarts. It’s really cool. Anyway this is Doreen in one of the gayest solo pictures I could find of her on short notice, which is also one of the variant covers from the actual series:

And this is her college roommate, Nancy Whitehead:

I'm like, 99% certain that Ryan North intended for them to end up as a couple and Disney!Marvel told him no. So he decided to make them AS GAY FOR EACH OTHER AS POSSIBLE without explicitly saying that they were a couple, and it ended up going under the radar. What follows is evidence for that claim. I’m going to put a "read more” after this so it doesn’t clutter everyone’s dashboards, but please read on if you’re interested. There’s a lot of cute gayness after this point. I’m also going to put all of the image descriptions at the end, since they take up a lot of space and I don’t want to break up the flow of the post. Finally, a quick spoiler alert for one arc in the middle of the series and a couple major plot points from the final few issues.

AND THEY WERE ROOMMATES

So for a while it was just kind of hinted at that they’re in a relationship, mostly because they were basically domestic life partners for like, two whole years in-universe before the comic run ended. But it really came to a head with an arc that was ran about 2/3 of the way through the series. Some pictures of them being, like, so cute together in general and/or talking about how much they care about each other before I get to that arc, though: 

Also Doreen describes her and Nancy's cat as "co-parented" in one of the last issues:

ANYWAY, THE ARC. THE HYPERTIME ARC. So one of the villains created for the Squirrel Girl run (I think they liked making weird shit canon just because they could) was a dude who went by the name "EpicCrimez". He’s a crime streamer. He livestreams his crimes to an online audience. I don't know. *Throws up hands*

He had some kind of laser gun that he built out of scavenged alien tech but didn't really know what it did, so he shot it at Doreen and Nancy for kicks. It shot them into hypertime, so suddenly the rest of the world was moving at a fraction of the pace that they were. They were moving so quickly that they were slated to live out their entire lives over the span of a single weekend if they didn't figure out how to reverse the effects. And...they did. Live out their entire lives together. For the two of them, they were the only two people in the world. There were other people, but they looked like statues unless you spent a very long time observing them. Doreen and Nancy grew old together in a world where they only had each other. This is an incredibly cute domestic scene from a little while after they found themselves in hypertime:

Gosh, I wish I could find more official art from that arc of them just living together, it was so good. But the point is, they were both old by the time that Nancy figured out how to get them out of hypertime. And it wasn't ideal. Their bio signatures were stored in the gun that EpicCrimez shot, and they could essentially "reboot" their bodies from when they were first shot and send themselves back into the regular timestream. But they wouldn't remember anything about the life that they had shared together. Nancy almost didn't want to do it. She raised the possibility of them just living out the rest of their lives together, because she didn't want to forget their life together. This is the conversation they had:

"I don't regret any of it. I don't want to lose it, and I don't want to lose us." "You're not getting rid of me that easily." Every time I look at that last picture, which took up an entire page of the comic, I start to cry. We’re seeing the final moments of two people who love each other more than anything, who were each other's entire lives, savoring their last moments together and wondering what the future holds. Sacrificing the life that they built together so that their younger selves could live a better, fuller one. Dying in each other’s arms, scared but comforted by the fact that they had each other. And then the arc ends, and they can't remember anything, so the status quo is restored. They have some paintings they made of each other while they were living together in hypertime, but they move on pretty quickly without ever knowing the significance of those lived decades. Still, it's clear in the arcs that follow and the adventures they embarked on afterward that they would die for each other. All of that continues until the end of the last arc. Their shared apartment's been blown up at this point by a supervillain who wanted to ruin Doreen’s life before eventually killing her. And in the aftermath of the fight, they're sifting through the wreckage for anything that survived (don't worry, the cat got out in time) when they find the picture that they painted of themselves during the hypertime arc:

They have a really cute conversation about how this chapter of their life is over, but they're going to be okay and they're going to build a new life together. And then Nancy basically tells Doreen that she can't live without her:

And then Doreen says something super queer-coded about how she likes the idea of the world knowing her secret identity now:

On the very last page of the comic, after all of the action is over and the series is about to end, they're talking to each other in what's supposed to be a twitter thread and Doreen asks Nancy a very thinly veiled question about whether she still wants to spend time with her now that her identity's out. She pretends it's about a class project, but it's really not about the class project. Here's how that conversation goes:

With no knowledge of what happened during the weekend when they shared their entire lives together, without ever having heard Doreen say it to her before, Nancy’s heart still knows which words to choose. "...you're not getting rid of me that easily. <3" I believe that the author of the series, Ryan North, did as much as he possibly could to portray them as a couple without saying it outright. And as the last piece of evidence to support that claim, I want to share a response he wrote in one of the series' last-ever letter columns:

"as for more Doreen and Nancy, I hope so too. A Squirrel Girl book without Nancy would feel like--like--like some sort of hypothetical "Super" "Man" book without an equally hypothetical "Lois" "Lane"!" It's easy to write off this analysis as wishful thinking, or as a misreading of the subtext. But when the author of the series says that these two characters are meant to always be together and compares them to one of the most famous couples in any comic series ever, it's clear that there's more to it than that. 

Some Additional Thoughts: 1) Doreen and Nancy are both probably bisexual or pansexual, since they both expressed romantic interest in men throughout the series but they’re both clearly interested in each other too. There might be an element of demiromanticism there as well if part of the reason that they’re into each other romantically is because of how emotionally close they’ve become over the years. I want to make sure that that facet of their romantic orientations doesn’t get erased, because bi and pan folks get erased enough as it is. Neither Doreen nor Nancy are lesbians, just super-cool WLWs.

I'm sticking to canon characters, but if anyone's interested in OCs, or more blank-slate characters who got zero development during the show (I.e. Lightning Strike & Co.), feel free to ask.

Dark Ace & Suzy-Lu. Completely headcanon I know, but I high-key believe they're the best of drinking buddies when they're not fighting for their respective Terras, and had a pretty strong frienship before the betrayal that's held on throughout the years, despite what's happened. He's the main reason she managed to get as many evacuees off of Blizaris as she did.

Harrier and the younger Storm Hawks. Yes, the show depicts him as a pompous arse, but I see him as having several decades of experience. Outside of show events, he's strongly protective of the team and tries to Dad them from the sidelines. It doesn't sit well with him that a bunch of kids are fighting in the war (again), but as much as he tries to discourage them, he can't stop them. He worries a lot.

Cyclonis & Dark Ace. These two are... complicated. There's definitely a familial dynamic going on, but a number of factors have left it warped. The Dark Ace is protective of her, and does his best to keep her safe, but Cyclonis is an entitled, power-hungry child ruler with immense magical and political power at her disposal. It actually scares him, believe it or not, but that doesn't stop him from doing his utmost best to protect her and his Terra. He just hoped that eventually she'll grow into a better person.

Wren & Dove. Best granddad-granddaughter duo known to man. The show doesn't give us much, but my guess is that Wren has raised Dove for most of her life after her parents died; most likely due to the war with Cyclonia. He obviously cares for her a lot, and likely wishes she wasn't so involved in the fighting. Not out of any attempts to stifle her; he just wants Dove to be safe. It's likely something they argue about, but they still love each other very much. They're probably all they have, aside from the other Rebel Ducks.

-you were caught because... well, he’s a ninja. he isn’t THAT careless...

-he brought you back home since taking you home would be a super stupid idea, plus he just knew Leonardo was going to kill him!

-he tells his brothers immediately when he gets home....... maybe not immediately..... he has to butter them up first so they don’t hit him

-Raph still slaps the back of his neck

-you wake up to Mikey poking your cheek and see that three other turtles have joined him

-Leo is the scariest, Raph’s Batman voice intimidates you, Donnie is just... kinda there, co-signing, and Mikey tries to get Leo and Raph to chill because they’re scaring you

-you swear not to tell anyone about them and Donnie takes your phone to make sure you have no videos or anything of them and they disappear

-after school you tracked your phone with your old phone after heading back into the sewers

-Turtles were not pleased

-the story is long, but they agreed that you could keep coming down to see them as long as you never told anyone about them and called/texted before coming.... and you weren’t being annoying

-Donnie has a bit of a sweet-tooth and accepts the peace offering

-Raph and Leo pass on that

-Mikey happily takes their portion

-they soon warm up to you and begin randomly checking up on you and inviting you over

-she’s really nice and always tries to form some sort of close relationship with you. she’s like an older sister

-have a gaming console? bring it with you and introduce mikey to some new games, he will absolutely adore you for it

-bonding with raph is harder, but eventually you learn that you dont really have to talk much to do that

-leo, as intimidating as he seems, has grown fond of you from a distance. you seem to light up the lair with your youthful spirit. they’ve all matured in their own ways. yes, even mikey. it’s nice to have a change

-you’ll have to approach him first

-join him while he’s meditating. he’ll give you tips and may even strike up a conversation unrelated. he enjoys the company

-leonardo tells you stories and let’s you hold his katanas and sometimes wear his mask from time to time

-youve never seen the turtles in action. you knew they were ninjas though.

-they typically train towards the end of the school day, so if you decide to cut class, you just might catch them

-you’ll be in awe

-you silently sit beside a panting Donatello and compliment his skills, he’ll say thanks and then suddenly realize your presence

-you’re sent back to school lol

-or you just have to wait in the livingroom

-Mikey is actually the one who offers to train you and the boys actually think it’s a good idea since he’s really patient with you and he took the longest to learn the art of ninjitsu when they were little

-sometimes Mikey strays from the lesson, so be sure to remind him that you’re training

-Leo begins to supervise when he hears laughter in the dojo

-he eventually takes over and you actually learn a lot more faster and realize Mikey was going super easy on you and taking it really slow

-you won’t be sparring for a while. Leo doesn’t want you getting hurt. they don’t know their own strength sometimes

-you have the most gifts on christmas, ill tell you that

-the turtles are basically your big bros

-you can’t stay late!!! forgot to mention that. they will not allow it... unless you have a good excuse set for your parent(s)/guardian(s)
