#are we ready to have a conversation about the definition of “best goalie in the world” yet?#i'm being a bitch but i've held off on this#on the upside at least we were never shut out and we don't have to play fucking *******#to my first point this is the problem with not having a consistent league#international play is so limited that you cannot judge based on that and you cannot judge based on college#i mean tbt to last year's red stars#we should also have a conversation about how obsessed we are with shooting the puck low#and every other team has a couple of snipers#and if we sniped a little more instead of doing the fake outs we might be in a different place#im just so tired#and not to rub it in but we were never going to win the cup#like somehow every team plays their best against us#i hope erin ambrose still gets defender of the year#and i hope ******* ******* does not get 4 awards#like if you see someone coming at you 1-1 have you considered moving back in your crease a bit#i would also be interested to know if the order gets shaken up#because again if you are only playing internationally with the best defenders protecting you#then how much are you really tested#same could be said for campbell though#i maintain that montreal's biggest enemy is their brains#and he was way out of crease on a lot of these#and if you look at frankel or campbell's positioning they are never that far out#also we have to talk about the face offs being atrocious tonight#like i said i'm glad it's over#and like i said before i think i prefer the winning the league situation instead of the playoff setup#maybe minnesota pulls it out#but at the end of the day we are undefeated in regulation playoff hockey#brings me to another point which is would it not make more sense that you have to get 9 of 15 points in a playoff series#and so then the score would be 3-6 and we'd still be in it#like continue with the points system

"Look, Steve, I don't have any bad feelings towards you," Eddie says, has been saying, talking nonsense, like he and Steve weren't anything more than fuckbuddies, like he isn't breaking Steve's heart. "I used you too, y'know?"
It's then Steve rears back like he been slapped. Or punched. It feels more like a gutting. Joke's on him, he supposes. Once again, he wants more than the other person. He wanted a boyfriend, Eddie'd wanted sex. Why does he keep trying? When Steve finds his voice to speak, it comes out flat and dead and not really like a question at all. "Used me. Like you think I've used you?"
Eddie shrugs, looking for all the world like he's not bothered by that statement. "We had fun, right? So it's all fine in the end."
"Fine," Steve repeats, hollow. They're in his house but Steve feels the need to leave, to run before the reality of how unlovable he truly is sticks inside him forever.
"But I think we should stop while we're ahead," Eddie continues and Steve wonders if Eddie is listening to him at all, or just saying his piece before he goes. Can he not hear Steve's heart breaking? "I want to... I want to find someone to love."
If Eddie's previous words felt like being gutted, these ones feel like cement. Heavy and solidifying. Trapping in the truth of Ever Unlovable Steve. He doesn't even feel heartbroken anymore. Just numb. Dead inside. He should say something encouraging. Let Eddie know that all he's wanted was for Eddie to be happy and loved. But words seem impossible, so he gives one jerky nod of his head. An understanding.
"Right," Eddie says, returning the nod before turning away, towards the door, "I'll just go now. Umm, see ya later, Harrington."
Facing the horrors of the Upside Down should feel like the scariest thing he's ever done but it doesn't. Watching Eddie walk away does. Steve should be able to hold it together long enough for Eddie to leave. He's the tough one. He can hold himself together no problem-
"Why can't you love me?"
Eddie whips back around, an expression on his face like confusion and anger mixed.
It's only then that Steve realizes he spoke. He hasn't meant to. He was going to let Eddie walk away but now his voice has been freed from the cement. His heart has shut down his brain it seems because he just keeps talking, voice flat and hollow, "why can't you love me the way I love you? What is so broken and wrong within me that no one loves me back? My parents, Nancy, now you. Why can't- I thought that we were- where did I go wrong?"
"What?" Eddie asks, and the anger is gone from his face but now he just looks horrified. Which is understandable. It's horrifying to be loved by Steve Harrington. "What did you think we were?"
Boyfriends. Together. Going steady. At the very least, dating without labels. But none of those very reasonable, normal answers come out of Steve's treacherous mouth. Because Steve can't seem to be a reasonable, normal person. He's got to be too much, too soon, too clingy. So, instead, he says, "In love."
Eddie looks like he's just received the worst news of his life. In fact, he looks a little sick. "Oh fuck. Jesus Christ. I can't- I thought- Fuck!"
Steve just nods along. He hadn't actually said I love you to Nancy that night at Tina's Halloween party, but he imagines if he had, the beginning of the bullshit conversation would have sounded much the same as Eddie does now; like anger and regret, the starts and stops. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have- if you want to go, you should go."
Eddie crosses the room back to Steve in half the steps he took when he first walked away, hands reaching to grab Steve's face between them. He speaks quickly and sounds panicked now. "No, no no no. I fucked up, misunderstood. I don't know how I got it so wrong. I don't want to go. I never did."
"What?"
"I am in love with you, sweetheart. I just- I didn't know you loved me back. I thought you didn't- that we weren't..."
"I thought we were boyfriends."
"Jesus, please let me fix this. Let me stay and make it up to you. I'll be the best fucking boyfriend you've ever had."
Steve thinks if he had any shred of self-worth he might step back, make Eddie explain himself, but as it is, he steps into Eddie's space and kisses him, hands pulling him as close as he can get. He doesn't want to think about the cruel things Eddie's said, about using each other. Maybe one day they'll have to hash that out, have that conversation, but Eddie says he loves him too, and that's all Steve's wanted.

Sharing a night in a shitty apartment
written for @steddieholidaydrabbles prompt: only one bed | rating: t | wc: 756 | tags: pre-steddie Steve offered to let Eddie stay at his place in the aftermath of Vecna. But forgets to mention its a shitty apartment with only one bed.
For the first time since moving, Steve was thankful that the communal areas of the apartment block were poorly lit. It was something that he, and his neighbors, had raised to the landlord multiple times, but it never got fixed. But now, the darkness gave the perfect cover for him to smuggle Eddie into his apartment, for a place to lay low until Dr Owens and his band of government goons swept into town to clean up the mess caused by the Upside Down. Something that didn't help, was that they were both injured and he had a fourth floor walk up.
He fumbled for his keys to unlock the door, and they both made their way in to collapse on the couch, not even caring that they hadn't changed since coming out of the Upside Down. When Steve could think a little more clearly, he would be happy that he had an old and ugly couch that he kept covered with a blanket.
"I don't want to sound ungrateful or anything, it's really cool of you to let me stay with you. But when you said I could hide out at your place, I thought you meant Loch Nora. Not this... cozy set up you have with far too many fucking stairs." Eddie said after he'd had a chance to catch his breath.
"My parents sold up the place in Loch Nora, five, six months ago. And didn't extend an offer for me to move with them. This is what I could get on short notice, and on my Family Video salary." Steve explained.
"Shit, your parents suck." Eddie replied, stretching out. "Any chance of a shower, I feel gross after a week on the run."
"Yeah. Bathroom's over there, the door on the left. Just try not to take too long, the hot water is temperamental, and I need to shower off the Upside Down too."
"I get it, dude. I live in a trailer. Sometimes we're lucky if we get five minutes before the hot water shuts off." Eddie said, pulling himself to his feet. "At least the bats didn't get me as much as they could have."
"Let me just wash the dirt off my hands, and I'll find you a towel and some clothes." Steve went into the bathroom first, spending much longer than usual scrubbing his hands clean. Once he was done, he pulled a towel out of the closet. "Feel free to use any of the soap and shampoo and conditioner. I'll leave some clothes outside for you. Just don't lock the door, it sticks."
Steve went into his bedroom, pulling out sweatpants, t-shirts, and underwear for each of them. He knocked on the bathroom door as the shower cut out. "Eddie, I've got some clothes for you."
A few seconds later, the door opened and Eddie stuck his hand out. "Thanks Harrington."
Once Eddie was done with the bathroom, Steve took his chance to shower off the Upside Down. He then gathered their clothes, towels, and the blanket off the couch into a pile, ready to take to the laundromat. Or burn, maybe.
He found Eddie in the bedroom, trying to look like he hadn't just been snooping.
"I think I'm going to turn in. The most sleep I've got this week was in an armchair in the Wheeler's basement. I doubt you feel much better." Steve said as he pulled back the covers on his bed.
"Yeah. Um, do you have a spare pillow and blanket or something? I can go set up on the couch." Eddie offered, looking uncomfortable.
"Oh, shit. No, you're not sleeping on the couch. It's way too small and uncomfortable. We can share the bed, as long as you don't steal the covers." Steve replied, patting the space next to him.
Eddie looked at him hesitantly for a long moment, before climbing in next to Steve.
The next morning, Steve woke to Eddie practically on top of him. Something about the weight was calming to him, holding off the state of panic he usually found himself in for weeks after an encounter with the Upside Down. And he'd slept much better too, the nightmares that he always got in the aftermath not making their appearance yet. He knew they should get up, to be ready to regroup and face whatever happened next. But he felt too at peace to let the world bother him in the moment. So, instead, he snuggled deeper into Eddie's embrace, and allowed himself to doze back off.

I feel like Roger loved both Buggy and Shanks equally, it’s just that he REALLY saw himself in Shanks and less so in Buggy, which made Buggy feel like the less loved child, just because he didn’t quite have the same “Oh wow we are just immediately on the same wavelength” like these two
If you asked Roger though he would have spoken about both of them with equal pride. He may see himself in Shanks but Buggy is … Buggy is just his own entire thing and sometimes Roger is kind of stupefied at this young pirate just putting so much into showmanship and being FLASHY and by god this is a greedy little shit but that just means he is just always going after something. And once he gets it he’s gonna show it off in the flashiest way possible that’s just so infectiously joyful to witness. Also- bombs?! Who taught him that?! Rayleigh did you teach him that? He didn’t teach him that! How’d that boy get so crafty! Hey guys check it out Buggy made a BOMB! Haha, hey may never know quite what’s going on with this brat but what a lad! His little firecracker…
Buggy wasn’t unloved but he was a massive causality of Shanks “chosen one” status (another one of these is Shanks himself imo but that’s getting into theory corner), because in his eyes that didn’t leave him to be anything else.
Yessss I do agree that Roger didn't really have a favourite, just different approaches to the kids. If there was any favouritism it would be unintentional, like I've said before. Because I really don't think Roger was that type of man. He loved those kids, they were basically like his sons.
I also agree that he saw himself in Shanks. And he saw something completely different in Buggy. Not just in the way that he was different from himself and Shanks, but he was different from everyone. Roger has never met someone like Buggy before and that fascinated him. This little kid was so... flashy, as he put in his own terms. And he was a go-getter. Roger was convinced that kid had the potential to flip the world upside down if it would get him what he wanted. And there's something so refreshing about that kind of unending determination. The only thing that stood in the way of that was his inferiority complex. And oh did Roger try to make it better. He tried his best to treat him and Shanks equally. Always told them both they could do anything they put their mind to, and that he loved and cared for them deeply. But it just didn't seem to penetrate through Buggy's thick skull. Him giving his hat to Shanks did NOT help. I think that small action was truly the catalyst for the "chosen one" complex you talked about. I mean the effects of it are still very much present, with Luffy and all...
I don't think Buggy was really a casualty in Shanks and his "chosen one" status (at least not as big of a casualty as Shanks himself) because he didn't let himself get stuck because of it, like Shanks did. He knew he couldn't reach his full potential in his friend's shadow, so he left. He started a new life because he refused to be stagnant. And he had a goal, a dream, that did not match what Shanks wanted. So of course he left, because Buggy always goes after what he wants. He chose to go forward, but Shanks stayed there. He could not move forward. He was destined to be forever that little boy on Oro Jackson, the pirate king's chosen one, and that teen Buggy left in Loguetown. (Taylor Swift - Right where you left me, literally)
On a lighter note... those damn bombs!!! Who taught him???? Literally no one. I'm convinced he just threw shit together. And honestly, Buggy is very smart. He figured how things work very quickly at a young age, and he was always good with his hands. It's another thing Roger always felt proud about him. "His little firecracker..." Anon shut up right now I will cry 😭😭 that's so cute
Thank you for this!! Sorry for replying late, I knew I was gonna write something long so I wanted to do it when I had the time

Insomnia - Matt Sturniolo
Summary: You moved to England when you were 13, but you've been home for a month which means you met the sturniolo triplets again who you grew up with. You all missed each other and now you are at their house for a sleepover. At night you can't sleep so you decide to go to the kitchen and then everything turns upside down.
Warning: swearing/p in v/ sweet talk
Orange: Chris
Blue: Matt
Green: Nick
Pink: reader
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
Nick and I were singing 'Had me at hello' from that Disney movie. We were playing karaoke. It was just the four of us. Chris was recording and I felt that someone was burning a hole in my back with his eyes. I knew it was Matt. I heard him laughing at us. He was too cool for things like this. I was having so much fun. I really missed these idiots. When we finished I layed down on the comfy couch and drank some water.
That was fun. You really have a great voice Y/N.
Yeah, you should sing more. -Chris said then put his phone down.
Thanks. Actually i like singing. -I said and put some popcorn in my mouth. For a second I looked at Matt just to not feel himself left out but he was staring at me. I don't know why but i couldn't held the contact so I turned my face the other side.
So what should we play next? -I asked rubbing my palms together.
Easy. Truth or truth.
Come on! -I said and rolled my eyes.
I'm down!
Me too. -Matt finally spoke. Great.
I sighed and prepared myself for the worst. I sat up and crossed my legs on eachother.
I'm going first! Chris have you ever had 3 days off of showering?
No, gross! Never. -we all laughed.
Y/N have you had a boyfriend in England?
I did. -they all smiled at my answer except for one person.
You gonna tell me about it girlll.
Okay. Matt... Have you ever eaten cucumber with peanut butter? -I asked him and looked in his eyes.
Unfortunately yes. -He said. I should have known he had. Sometimes they have crazy ideas. The game continued and we asked each other lots of funny questions, but then Chris asked me something I didn't want to answer.
Have you ever had a crush on one of us? -my smile disappeared and my throat constricted.
That's a stupid question. -I said and crossed my arms.
So you did. -he smiles at me. Chris some day i'll kill you... I thought. They looked at me curiously.
No! Of course not. We grew up together. -I answered.
Don't lie! -so Nick is already attacking. Super.
At least tell who would you choose? -I looked at Chris with murderous eyes. Then for some reason I looked at Matt. He watched me with a calm face.
Okay. Easy. I would choose Nick. You happy? -I asked and I sipped another dose of water to relieve my tension.
Lame. -he said.
Don't be a dick. -Matt told him. I looked at him and he noticed it. I gave him a hint of a smile.
When we felt it was time to go to bed, we all retired. I was sleeping with Nick. I've always been the closest to him, and maybe he was the only one who noticed that I was hopelessly falling for Matt. When I moved away it felt like ripping my heart out. Then I came back and I could barely recognize them and when I saw how much Matt changed all the feelings surfaced. They were never buried actually.
I was trying to sleep but Nick was snoring so loud. I turned my head and tried to shut out the sound, but I couldn't. I smiled at him and shook my head. I stood up and quietly went out. Then I carefully opened Chris's door, but I saw that he was sleeping sprawled on the bed. Great... I decided to go to the kitchen to drink some cocoa. It always helped me. I sat down and turned the little light which was above the stove. I was lost in my thoughts when I heard footsteps.
Can't sleep? -he asked and sat in front of me.
When did Nick start snoring like a bear? -he smiled at me and shook his head.
About 3 years ago. -he answered and crossed his arms. I cheekily grazed my eyes on his tattooed arm. I've never thought he is going to get one.
Did you hear when i came out? -I asked and sipped my cocoa.
Yeah but I thought you were Chris. I bought some muffins and I hid it because he always finds it. -I just laughed.
Well, don't worry. I'm not gonna eat it.
I'm happy to share it with you. -he said smiling.
Thanks, I will take the opportunity. -I responded.
Ah..I'm so tireeed. -I cried out like a baby.
You can sleep with me. -he offered then I gulped.
I don't want to bother you. You must be tired too. -I said and tried to avoid his eye contact.
Not really. I think i might have insomnia or something. Lately I've been sleeping late. -he srugghed and smiled.
You sure you don't mind? Because I checked Chris but he was sleeping like a starfish and I...-
Come on Y/N. I'm here for you too. -he said. He extended his hand to me as he stood up and nodded. I took his hand and let him pull me up from the chair, then without breaking the contact of our hands, he led me to his room. I saw blue led lights around the ceiling, which made the room very cozy. Blue is also my favourite colour.
Feel yourself home. -he said.
Thanks. -I said trying not to blush or anything like that. My stomach was flilping of excitement and I was so shy.
You need anything?
No. I'm good. -I sat down on his bed and smoothed the wine red silk cover. Matt always had a really good taste. I layed down and covered my legs with the blanket because I was wearing shorts which was too short. I didn't want him to feel uncomfortable. He laid down next to me on his back putting one arm under his head. I was just staring at him.
So tell me about that insomnia. What's wrong? -I asked and put both of my hands under my face.
Okay, i'm not sure I have it. I just.. can't sleep. I wake up in the middle of the night sometimes. And it's really tiring. -he sighed then continued. -I turn around a lot and feel restless.
Have you tried camila tee? Or something...-
I've tried everything. Believe me. -he sad and finally looked in my eyes. The heck... My pulse got faster.
I'll find something for you.
Thanks Ms. England.
Shut up. -I laughed.
You do have some accent. The cool british one. -he said imitating me.
That's not my fault. I lived there. Of course my accent changes. -I said.
I like it. It's cute for you. -he said. I felt a lump in my throat, which was difficult for me to swallow. I suddenly turned to my other side, involuntarily bringing the blanket with me and this led to my bottom showing. These damn pajamas only reached the bottom of my butt line.
Good night. -I said. He didn't say anything. He just inhaled the air sharply. Then I felt a squirm and that the bed was sinking right next to me.
Can I ask something? -Matt was so close to my ear I could feel his breath tickling my neck.
Yeah...-I said in a questoning tone.
Why did you lie?
About what? -I asked back still looking forward at the wall.
About who would you pick. You rubbed your right ear when you said it would be Nick. When you lie you always poke your right ear. -as he spoke i was 100% sure he was inches away from my right ear. The air stuck in my lungs and tried to calm down. How the fuck he knows I do that when I lie??!
I.. I don't know what you are talking about. -i said.
I know you do. Don't lie. -he said. Fuck.... why is he doing this to me? I was shaking inside. My stomach convulsed.
And what if I was lying? It's just a stupid game. -i groaned.
It was called Truth or truth. -how detailed he has become.
I don't care. And I don't rub or poke my ear if i'm lying. -I said.
You don't? -when he asked that, I felt his lips touch my ear. I squealed and i suddenly forgot how to breath. Then he kissed the skin behind my ear and my mind was blown. My chest rose rapidly and I squeezed the blanket. He kissed it again and he bit my earlobe too. I wasn't sure if this was real or I was dreaming. I closed my eyes and sighed.
Tell me if I was wrong. -he murmured at my neck and kissed it.
I...-I started but i wasn't able to put a normal sentence together. I was dumb. I bit my lip instead and tried not to moan. One of his hands caressed my waist then it slid to my stomach.
Tell me who did you really want to say. -he said while his hand started going under my shirt. I couldn't stop sighing. It felt like an eletric shock when his skin met mine.
Y-you...-I squeezed out of my lips. He was still kissing my neck and behind my ear. I saw dimly and I could barely open my eyes. I'm sure I looked like Bella Swan when Edward was sucking the vampire poison out of her.
That's what I wanted to hear. -he whispered. Here is where the thread broke for me. He was still close to me so I turned my head to face him and I pulled him down putting my palm on his neck. Our lips finally met and it felt like fireworks. He crawled my skin gently under my shirt then it went higher right where my tits were. He was still on top of me and I was lying on my side under him. He cupped my breast giving each mound a squeeze. I moaned into his mouth. He was eating my lips and i didn't mind. Soon I turned on my back so he can totally tower over me. Our legs were tangled. We didn't break the kiss not for a second. I grabbed his hair and pulled it then I caressed it. I've always loved how fluffy it was. He spread my legs and held one up to his waist and caressed it gently. The room was filled with heat and tension. The blue lights made it even exciting. I ran my fingers down to his shirt and he broke off just long enough to take off his shirt and throw it on the floor. I smiled at him and he attacked my neck again. He licked it and bit it gently. I was totally losing my mind.
Ah...-I moaned. I grabbed his hair again.
Can I take this off? -he asked holding my shirt between his fingers. I nodded and helped him by lifting my self up. He started going down with his kisses and he kissed every inch of my breast including my twins. He reached my stomach kissing and biting it. My eyes were closed and I was grabbing the edge of the pillow with both hands.
Matt...-I moaned his name from my lips.
Yeah? Is something wrong? Shit I went too far didn't I?-he asked and he crawled towards me again.
Please.... Do something. -I said squeezing my legs together. He felt my move and smiled at me.
Down there. Right? -he whispered near my lips. He left a soft kiss on them then he slowly led his hand to my shorts. I was holding on his neck sometimes caressing his hair. I let out a sigh when he touched my clit.
So wet. -he murmured in my ear. I crawled his back. I was aching for his touch. He continued caressing my center area and he put one finger inside me. I could feel the knot was building up in my abdomen.
One more... please...-I sighed pressing my lips. He complied with my request and inserted a second finger.
M-matt I'm gonna... I - suddenly he pulled out his fingers and I groaned in displeasure.
Noo! -I said and put my hand down so I can finish it myself but he grabbed it and put both of my hands next to my head.
How impatient. You know I can give you pleasure with...-he started and pressed his lap against mine. I bit my lip of the thought him being inside of me.
You want it? -he asked looking in my eyes.
Yes. I want you. -I said looking deeply in his eyes. He smiled at me and slowly pulled my pajama shorts along with my panties. He reached out to his nightstand and pulled out a condom.
Why do you have these? -I asked. I wondered how many girls he takes in his room.
Because I'm responsible?!- He said in a questioning tone.
So you bring a lot of girls here?-I asked.
I bought these when you moved back. And I don't bring anyone here. There's only one girl who can sleep in my bed and that's you. -he sighed and caressed my face.
So you mean...you are a virgin? -I asked raising my eyebrows.
No. I just didn't bring anyone here. -i smiled at him, then placed a sweet kiss on his lips.
Are you still...? -he asked this time.
I only did it once. -I said pressing my lips.
I wish I was your first. -he muttered.
You are Matt. Since we were little kids. -I said caressing his hair. He smiled at me and kissed my cheeks.
If something hurts just say and I'll stop baby. -he said and slowly pushed himself up. I bit my lip trying to hold back the painful waves.
Oh...gosh. -he cried out burying his face in my neck. He pulled out then pushed himself back and he did it again and again.
You okay? Does it hurts? -he asked looking at my face.
No. I'm alright just ahh....-i moaned when i lifted my hips a little to get comfortable.
Please Matty...-I could barely speak. He let out a little laugh and started moving. He started kissing my neck again leaving wet kisses on it.
You are so tight. -he groaned. I was trying to be quiet because I didn't want to wake the others up. He hold my legs up pressing it to my chest. He thrusted deeper and I put my palm on my mouth.
Fuck...-I cried out. His movements got faster and deeper and I was losing my mind. He intertwined our fingers and now I put my legs around his waist.
I...I love you. -he said while he started slowing down and he hit that pleasant spot. I dropped my head back for a moment.
I love you too. -I said putting my palms around his neck pulling him down for an intense kiss. He gave me the final thrust and I felt my walls clenched his dick. He moaned and stayed deep inside me then collapsed. I was trying to catch my breath but it wasn't easy.
You are amazing. -he said smoothing my hear out of my face. We were sweaty.
No no. You are. -I sighed out closing my eyes. He pulled out of me and pulled down the condom putting his boxers on. He grabbed my stuff and put it on the bed. He climbed over me again kissing every inch of my face. I laughed and felt like a little girl.
I could bear it if I had insomnia because of you. -he whispered.
Shut up. -I said. I put on my shirt and panties then laid on his chest.
This was all I ever wanted. -he said caressing my cheek.
Well I would say the same. I missed you. Actually I missed you more than Chris and Nick. But don't tell them. -he giggled at my statement.
I won't. -he responded. We were making eye contact for a long time and it's so hard to believe that this all just happened. Finally I was his.

Spider monkey | Sun Wukong x reader
Tumblr media
Requested by @kaycode1999 : Could you do one where the reader and Monkey King somehow end up doing the spider-man kiss?
a/n - I loved this idea so fuckin much…
"Just a little bit further" Monkey had said over three hours ago.
You were accompanying him on his journey to defeat one of the most powerful demons in the land. Monkey really didn't want his only… companion (other than stick) getting hurt or worse... killed. However, you were insufferably stubborn.
"Monkeyyy, how much longer" You groan, your feet were aching so badly that you thought you might fall over right here on the path.
The tree leaves rustle and you glance to your left. A quick, red blur passes through a gap in the treeline and you roll your eyes.
"Just a feeew more miles" Monkey calls.
He was lucky that he could swing through the trees, honestly, any other form of travel would be better than walking right about now.
You groan and force yourself to take another step.
"Hey... cheer up, wanna play a game?" Monkey lands next to you with a sly grin plastered on his face.
You aren't sure if you should say yes, but a distraction would do wonders at this point.
"Anything to make this awful hike move faster," You say.
"Great! I'll hide, you seek, but keep walking okay? We don't have all day you know"
Your lips part to speak, but before you get even a mumble out, Monkey has disappeared into the trees with a sneer.
Some time passes as you walk along the path and you haven't heard from Monkey in a while. Only the faint sound of him swinging through the trees could be heard.
Suddenly you hear a loud thud from behind and spin around, ready for a fight. When you don't see anyone, your eyes drop to the ground. Laying there in the dirt is a twig. You spin around and nearly scream.
"Hey," Monkey says, his voice sultry, a smug grin on his upside-down face.
Monkey hangs from a tree, his tail snuggly wrapped around a thick branch that overreaches the road. "Found ya" He coos, reaching out to boop you on the nose.
Your faces are just inches apart, and you can't deny the heat rising in your chest. The two of you had never been this close. His temperature was rising as well, you felt it radiating off him.
You roll your eyes. "What on earth are you doing?"
"Giving myself away, duh. I'm way too good at this whole hide-and-seek thing. You'd never have found me" He boasts, yammering on and on. However, your mind was only on one thing.
You slowly lean in, all the while Monkey still goes on about his perfect hiding skills.
"I mean, c'mon... At least pretend like you know where I am- mmm" His eyes go wide as his words come to a satisfying halt.
Monkey doesnt pull away, instead, he leans into the kiss, his tail losing grip slightly as his body fills with sensations. The hair on his neck stands up slightly as you pull him closer.
"W-What was that for?" He mumbles when you pull away.
"Oh, well you wouldn't shut up, I had to think of something" You tease, this time booping his nose, you smile sweetly as you walk past him.
"What- I-" Monkey hangs there, mouth agape. His heart is beating so fast and he isn't sure if it's because of the stunt you just pulled or if there was too much blood rushing to his head.
He hops down from the tree, his shock still visible. "Hey! You can't just walk away after that, Pebble" He calls, running to catch up with you.
“Try me spider monkey!”

@epitios here you go!, and for everyone who was waiting for a third part too😌
Part One / Part Two
Tumblr media
You collapsed on the floor of your apartment, your breathing quickening and gasping, the sound of your heart pounding in your ears so loud you thought your eardrum was going to explode at that very moment. You covered your mouth as you moved slowly to the closet, the front door opening.
"Dammit, you said this was the exact location, you useless Sanzu."
"Shut up, at least I've gotten enough clues to find something solid."
Rindou rolled his eyes inspecting your apartment, you swallowed dryly, trying to calm your panic attack, you slowly pushed a lever inside the small space, a small door opened next to you, you crouched down to enter through the narrow secret passage, closing behind you just as the closet doors opened.
"Nothing around here…"
"Look at this, at least we know someone has fled from here."
Rin smiled when he saw the almost cold food in the kitchen, a maniacal smile on the drug addict's face when he saw that he had hit the nail on the head, he supposed that you had escaped from them in time, but how much longer would you hold out? They were already too close. They both warned the others to search the surroundings but they couldn't find you, Mikey was starting to get impatient with this search.
You narrowly missed their radar since the guy with the stupid braid, as you knew Mochizuki, almost caught you sneaking through the alleys of the city. It was stressful, you were on the brink of collapse right now, you had spent five months playing hide-and-seek with this stupid mafia, you had practically given up the dirty jobs underground just to survive the Bonten executives. They pushed you over the edge because you never seemed to have more than a couple of days to have to find a new place or personality to adopt to throw them off, you had frequent nightmares, anxiety attacks, your life was turned upside down right now and you wanted to end all this shit.
You were young, definitely many years of life ahead, but you already felt rotten inside, you had experienced many things, pleasant and unpleasant, all this 'game' with Bonten only made what little sanity you had kept go overboard, your work wasn't a pleasant thing to do and now they've got your mind blown.
"Well, this will be the final point, I don't care about anything anymore, they won't need to look for me anymore, damn stalker psychopaths."
You looked at your figure in the mirror one last time with dead eyes, your favorite clothes on, all you had on you was a gun with a bullet in it, you left a note for the guy you rented the apartment from earlier that day, apologizing for give him so much trouble, you sent your parents one last message even though they didn't deserve a look from you, you felt that the fairest thing was for them to know that at least you wouldn't see them again even if they wanted to.
A shaky sigh escaped your lips as you looked at the imposing building, it's not like it was the first time you've infiltrated, the truth is that if you could go back in time you would choose not to have come that day and threaten those men to leave you alone, you only made things worse, but today you would put an end to it.
As you infiltrated like last time, everyone was gathered, confused by the message they had found while tracking you down, Kokonoi left the crumpled note on the round table after reading it.
"It doesn't make sense, run away and now ask to see each other? isn't that weird?"
Takeomi nodded, no one would be stupid enough to want to meet their potential kidnappers and stalkers on their own turf, but anyway, they were all prepared and armed depending on what happened.
"And if it is only a decoy?"
Ran straightened up in his seat, fiddling with his braids, Kakucho got up to look through the vents, where you came in the other time.
"Whatever it is we can only wait, it's not like she can go very far, we have contacts everywhere."
Mikey remained silent the entire time, the others talked creating theories of your next move, he just stared blankly, fleeting memories of you in his mind, you were just a whim, but he wanted you to bow down to him, no one had ever had the courage to threaten him so openly and escape for so long, you would be like a trophy to him, what happened next, he didn't care much.
His eyes moved slightly towards the restored window that you broke, remembering how your body rushed into the void falling into the darkness of the night, he narrowed his eyes when he thought he saw something strange move near the window, like a reflection of someone who didn't was in the room.
"The window…"
His murmur almost goes unnoticed if it weren't for the fact that everyone fell silent at the right moment, they almost broke their necks to look at the window, at that very moment they all covered themselves because the glass exploded, falling all over the place, again, you positioned yourself on top of the table with a dominant stance, even though your mind was thinking that in this situation you were anything but the one dominating the stupid game you've been playing for months.
"Catch her!"
"Don't touch me!"
You kicked Kakucho, moving to avoid Mochizuki's arms, holding everyone at bay until Mikey rose from his seat, ordering everyone to stay put, your chest heaving from the short but intense fight, feeling uncomfortable under the gaze of all those men.
"I think you came here to make a deal, right? We hear you."
The boss smiled when he saw that you lowered your guard, he knew that whatever you said he was not going to accept, right now, on his 'land', you had no say, you were under their control at this moment, he thought that you had abandoned, that you you were going to surrender before them like everyone else, they had succeeded, they had hunted you.
"Yes… I came to say some last words to the people who have finished ruining my life, it's something very important! so listen carefully, I won't repeat it again…" you waited a few seconds to give tension, everyone held their breath waiting for your words, almost anticipating a victory because they caught you in their clutches and that you would have given yourself up "Fuck you! If anyone is going to ruin my life it will be me! I hope we don't meet in hell, whores!"
You quickly moved your hand to reach for your pistol, clamped it to your jaw and fired, blood splattering on the faces of Mikey, Kokonoi and Sanzu, your body falling into the arms of the Haitani brothers, who carefully grabbed you.
"Fuck… that was close."
Rindou muttered seeing how you had only fainted, his brother had managed to reach you before you tried to take your life in front of everyone, he moved your body enough so that the bullet that threatened to dethrone part of your face and skull, only grazed your right cheek and ear, you would surely lose some hearing and you would have a new scar much more visible from now on.
They all looked at each other in silence, Takeomi had taken it upon himself to call a doctor to treat your injuries, they had already done it, there was no way for you to get out of their control easily, you had no way out, you were brave enough to face them a second time and attempting suicide in front of them, Sanzu was delighted by your performance, he couldn't wait to have you with him and all the things he could do, the others having a similar feeling, unlike you, waking up and finding yourself in that situation was not what did you imagine, being trapped with a group of psychopaths, you needed to get out of there no matter what, maybe your attempt to end everything was unsuccessful, but you can always have second chances, you don't care about the cost, you wouldn't give them the pleasure of seeing you bow down to them.

Tumblr media
warnings. swearing
from ricky's mailbox to yours. I don't expect anything from this, I just wanted to post because I miss this damn show
west ham was always ordinarily boring and filled to the brim with people who had their pockets filled with more than enough money to know what to do with.
your life was a repetitive process and ran on a schedule that really never changed unless you chose to eat breakfast for once in your life, which you never really did--or take your mom up on the offer to go on walks—which you also really never did.
the day you got off that bus and found no parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, or even siblings was a day you couldn’t help but sigh in relief with finding a loss of obligations and responsibilities. you felt a lift from your shoulders and a greatness fill your chest as you finally let go and fell from your schedule.
but it wasn’t funny and you were no longer having any fun the moment you discovered your situation was permanent and a forest had overgrown all roads and tracks out of this new found nightmare of yours.
“you think god's trying to teach us a lesson?” you looked up from your book seeing your friend maddie who had her lips pressed into a thin line, still trying to figure out this whole predicament.
even as this was a nightmare and you weren’t used to change, you found yourself leaning away from getting caught up in caring so much or getting too emotional about it. you figured you could be in worse situations and at least you were still alive.
“i don’t think it’s that deep,” you mumbled carelessly, flipping the page to your book, not sparing another glance to her till she stands up with a huff and grumble, clenching and unclenching her fists while exiting harry’s living room.
but then she felt herself flipping around, facing you and your slightly confused expression, “what’s your problem?”
you frowned a little deeper as she stood before you with her poised posture, seeming more angered than you had ever seen her, “what?-” you shared a look with harry who seemed just as lost as you did before she cut you off.
“because ever since we discovered we’re trapped here it seems like you couldn’t give a damn and it’s really pissing me off,” she exhaled roughly with her chest puffing in and out with air, like she had been waiting a long time to say this. “you’re not here for anyone and i haven’t heard you cry once either, y/n.”
“you want me.. you want me to cry?” you raised an eyebrow, slightly taken aback.
“yes, y/n, because i’m really close to thinking you’re a sociopath-”
“woah, woah, woah, maddie” harry shook his head with his lips deeply curved downwards, “shut up.”
“don’t tell me to ‘shut up’ harry.”
“don’t be a cunt, maddie,” he scoffs, looking at her as if she were a fool. his stare is harsh and she even slowly begins to feel like one with how hard and taunting his eyes are.
if harry had a skill in something, it'd be his way of looking down on people and making them feel his disgust and repulsion toward them. harry had to be one of the most arrogant people you had met, but at least his arrogance came in handy in situations where you needed defense.
"whatever, harry," she rolls her eyes at him, trying to push off the sickening feeling he pushed on to her. "you two deserve each other, especially if you're both enjoying this little vacation we were gifted."
harry sits in the grey chair maddie previously sat in, "you okay?"
"yeah, I'm good."
“you sure?”
you look up to him, finally meeting his dialed in expression that was genuine and curious to your well being.
strange.
it was things like this that gave you somewhat joy that you no longer had a schedule, that kept you from hating your new reality.
west ham turning upside down revealed a lot about your fellow classmates and even best friend’s character, as seen seconds ago. you couldn’t decipher whether or not you found joy in the fact of that, but right now, with harry sitting across from you and close to reach out to you, was something you knew you enjoyed.
before, in your tight knit schedule, harry didn’t fit in it. he was only a family friend you saw at birthdays and conjoined vacations since the beginning of your memory, but nothing more.
“yeah, i’m sure,” you pressed your lips into a thin line.
“i don’t think she understands people handle grief differently,” he looks sympathetic but drops any attempt to move closer with a reach of comfort upon realization that you were really fine.
“you think i’m in grief?”
he pauses, doesn’t look at you for a minute with silence as he narrows his eyebrows before looking up to meet your eyes, “i mean, aren’t we all?”
aren’t we all?
jesus, maybe you were a sociopath.
“i-uh-“
“y/n,” he stops you, shaking his hand. “when-when my father died, i didn’t think it was real. all these people came up to me, your parents, all would walk up, apologize, offer their condolences, but i never really understood. what was the big deal?—just a death, right?”
he offers an awkward smile with a glance through his eyelashes, before looking back to his carpet, “thing was, i didn’t realize that that death, was my fathers death—i mean i did, my body didn’t. i was in denial.”
silence. you both think about his words.
the way he spoke was really smart--it surprised you that it was him that they were coming from. not only did you start to enjoy his company, but his words...
“i shouldn’t have-“
“no,” you cut him from his potential regret in sharing. you knew that took a lot from him. “maybe you're right… or maybe maddie is. maybe i really am a sociopath.”
"y/n, that's an insane thing to say," he shakes his head, still looking down, but now at his hands as he begins to rub them together. "everyone handles grief differently," he repeats, "especially something like this; especially something that feels nowhere near real."
you stare at harry, blinking, while he stares back at you with a thin-lipped smile. you felt your chest tighten to an extreme as you continued to watch, thinking about his words that tumble around in your head. you somehow couldn't grasp it; the reassurance. but rather... you were more hung up on the matter that it was him saying such kind words to you.
everyone knew harry was the biggest asshole in west ham and he had no shame in it. everyone would call you a liar is you ever exposed the conversation; harry didn't have a nice bone in his body, so how was it that he had just created one of the nicest convos you had ever had with anyone?
your chest pulls into a ball even more. you feel like you can't breathe.
what was happening to you?
you hadn't felt a pang of sadness till now.
"you okay?"
you hate that question.
"yeah, i'm okay."
"you sure?" he's leaning towards you, his eyes prying.
you feel the pressure intensify, but this time around your eyes as if something had the need to be forced out.
fuck, not now.
"y/n, woah," he's quick to come closer to you, now kneeling before you with his hands on your face.
“i shouldn’t be crying-“
he shushes you as he tries his best to clear your face from the salty tears that begin to run down your cheeks like a hill. he smiles lightly to your embarrassment while shaking his head, “crying is fine.”
“i feel bad.”
“for what?”
“harry, i don’t even feel bad about them being gone,” you sniff, wiping your face from the wetness quickly. “i feel bad about you and your father and everything.”
“oh?” he seems caught off guard about this, taking a step back from your distraught stare. “why?”
you stare over at him with wide doe eyes, something that looks like fear for the matter of having to provide an explanation. you glance to the side, also leaning away from him, bracing yourself to answer. you feel even more choked up, like your throat had been clogged and stuffed with toilet paper--or whatever it was to help you not speak.
"my parents-" you sniff, wiping your nose with the back of your hand. "god, I hated my parents--so I'm not sorry that I'm not sad about something that is ultimately a blessing... but I am sorry that this has happened to you... all of you."
he stares. he feels as if he's about to explode.
"I'm sorry, harry--that you had to lose your father and your mother as fast as you did," you shake your head, "I'm sorry that you think that that's how I feel about my own parents."
why does he feel like this?
his hand is mid air, reaching to clasp his chest as if consoling his heart, but it doesn't goes as far to make contact.
he feels strange. he doesn't know how to cope with someone he has known for so long revealing what must have been the biggest burden on their shoulders, hidden in plain sight from him, as well as gushing about sympathy for him--he hates that.
as for the other thing; harry had known you since the beginning of time, he knew your parents since the beginning of time. you were both absorbed within the same lifestyle but the two of you were never anything more than acquaintances.
he found it strange that he could see your life so clearly like it was his own, but it seemed that was only the surface of a glass window that only you and your family allowed people to see.
"y/n, you're not a sociopath," he finally says, "sociopaths don't feel sympathy for other people. you're just in a difficult situation that no kid will understand because their parents are their heroes."
he pinches the bridge of his nose, finally looking up to you, "you also shouldn't feel bad for me."
you looked at him confused, urging him to explain.
"none of us are saints, y/n. somehow i think we all deserve this," he runs a hand down the front of his face. "you... you're just somehow better than the rest of us, this is a vacation god has granted you."
you stifle a laugh, shaking your head.
he smiles in return before dropping his face into a softer expression, reaching for your hand, "you good?"
"yeah, i'm good," you nod.
"good," he squeezes your hand. "enjoy heaven while you have it."

In the Lair of Lavertus
“I can't sleep," said Cragger.
Laval rolled over on his sleep mat and peered at the Crocodile through half-closed eyes. "Do what you always do. Count swamp sheep."
"Tried that," said Cragger. "I also tried singing Crocodile lullabies to myself."
"Crocodiles have lullabies?" Laval asked.
"Sure," said Cragger. "They're mostly about what we're going to eat the next day."
"That sounds.. relaxing, I guess," said Laval. "So why can't you sleep?"
"I don't think I like this place," answered Cragger. "Or maybe I just don't trust our host."
Tumblr media
Laval, Cragger, and their friends were on a quest to free the Legend Beasts and restore the flow of CHI from Mount Cavora. On their journey through the mysterious Outlands they had encountered Lavertus, a very odd Lion who lived in a fortress he called his "Lair." He had offered the team to stay there and use it as a base, as long as they didn't go wandering around after dark.
Cragger got to his feet. "I'm going to take a look around. I think this Lion is up to something."
"None of us should go wandering," Laval warned. “Lavertus told us it isn't safe, and that, at least, I believe…”
"I know, I know, Lions love following rules," Cragger said, heading for the door. "Well, Crocs make their own." Laval went after him. "And we all remember what happened because of that. Sometimes, I think you break rules just for the sake of breaking them. Fine—if you're going, l'm going with you."
Tumblr media
"Why?" Cragger asked.
"To make sure you don't mess things up ... again," said Laval.
"Come on, we're on the same side now. You can trust me." Cragger flashed a toothy grin before turning away.
"I used to," muttered Laval, following after him.
Tumblr media
——————
It was easy to see that Lavertus's home was designed to make sure any stranger would rapidly get lost inside.
Hallways looped around on themselves, doors led to solid walls, and staircases that went up somehow managed to leave you on a lower floor.
"Ive never seen anything like this," whispered Cragger.
"I wish I wasn't seeing it now," answered Laval. "What do you expect to find, anyway?"
"I don't know," said Cragger. "Nobody builds a house like this unless they have something to hide."
"Or they had the directions upside down," Laval said, shaking his head.
The two moved on. After another half hour of searching, they came upon a corridor lined with doorways on both sides. One by one, they opened the doors.
"Closet. Closet. Closet," said Laval.
"Staircase!" cried Cragger.
Tumblr media
Laval rushed over to see what the Crocodile had found.
But when he got there, Cragger was standing at an open door looking into another closet.
"Where are the stairs?" asked Laval.
"They were here a second ago," said Cragger, shutting the door. "Then they weren't."
"Hmmm. Try opening the door again," said Laval.
Cragger opened the door a second time. When he did, the staircase was back. “That’s weird,” said the Crocodile. "Let's go see what's down there."
"Got any breadcrumbs?" asked Laval.
"Huh?" snapped Cragger.
"To leave a trail to find our way back," said Laval. "What happens if the stairs disappear again when were halfway down?"
"Good question," said Cragger. After a short pause, he added, "You go first."
"Right," said Laval. "Because turning my back on you is my favorite thing to do. ... Not."
The pair stumbled down the staircase side by side. At the bottom, they found an iron door. To their surprise, it was unlocked.
"He must not have thought anyone would find this spot," said Laval.
"Or maybe he wanted whoever did find it to be able to get in, because he knew they wouldn't get back out again," answered Cragger. "You go first."
"Wait a second!" said Laval, turning around to face the Crocodile. "This whole thing was your idea! Why do I have to keep going first?"
"Um, because you're such a fierce fighter and you can handle whatever comes at us?"
Laval glared at Cragger. "Yeah, I'm fierce," he said.
"You might want to remember that if you have any tricks planned. Anyway, I'll go first, because we're supposed to be friends... and that's what friends do."
The Lion pushed the door open, even as Cragger said, “Tricks? Me?"
"Yes, you. Just because we're on the same side again doesn't mean—"
Laval stopped short and his eyes grew wide. He and Cragger had stumbled upon the biggest workshop either had ever seen. It was packed with strange devices, big and small. Some were incredibly complicated and others were extremely simple. At a glance, the only things Laval recognized were Speedor wheels and other parts of a Speedor bike.
"Incredible," said Laval. "Eris would love this!"
Tumblr media
"If Lavertus made all this, he must be some kind of inventor," said Cragger. "But he didn't tell us. Why keep that a secret?"
"I don't know," answered Laval. "But look at this stuff. Some of it looks like weapons. It could be dangerous. We'd better tell the others."
Just as Laval was speaking, the floor shifted underneath them. The Lion and Croc were knocked off their feet.
"Whoa!" said Laval. "What was that?"
"Laval, look!" cried Cragger, pointing at the iron door.
"The stairs are gone!"
Cragger was right. The doorway leading to the stairs now led to a solid wall.
Tumblr media
"We're trapped!" Laval realized.
"No, we're not," Cragger said, racing into the heart of the workshop. "There has to be something in here that can get us out."
"Cragger, don't!" Laval cried.
But it was too late. Cragger had bumped into one of Lavertus's inventions: a big metal cannon. It immediately shot out a tangle of ropes that wrapped around him.
Cragger toppled backward, falling into a stone chair.
The arms of the chair closed tight on either side of the Crocodile and held him fast.
"Hang on," shouted Laval. "I'll get you out."
But as he raced toward Cragger, the floor rumbled again. A small catapult on top of a tall shelf went off, launching a little rock at the head of a life-size Gorilla statue. The statue sprang to life, plodding forward and knocking into more inventions as it went. Soon, the air was filled with arrows, jets of flame, and bursts of water.
"Great job," called Cragger. "If we weren't doomed before, now we really are."
"Just ... stay there!" yelled Laval. "I'm coming!"
"Where do you think I'm going to go?" Cragger struggled against the ropes. "This thing makes one of Gorzan's hugs look like a bunny cuddle."
Tumblr media
Laval was about to reply when, suddenly, he heard a loud groan behind him. He turned just in time to see the loud groan behind him. He turned just in time to see the Gorilla statue tipping forward! Laval tried to spring out of the way, but he wasn't fast enough. The statue toppled on top of him.
"Oof!" the Lion exclaimed. The heavy statue pinned him to the ground.
"Laval! Are you okay?" Cragger called.
"Yeah, I think so," Laval said. "But I'm ... LOOK OUT!"
Laval's eyes grew wide as a flame cannon went off beside Cragger. In an instant, the Croc was surrounded by flames!
"CRAGGER!" Laval cried.
Tumblr media
For a moment, Laval couldn't see anything but embers and smoke. Then, he heard coughing. When the smoke cleared, Cragger was sputtering and waving his arms.
Instead of hurting the Croc, the flames had burned right through the ropes tying him up. He was free!
"Talk about luck." Laval exhaled. "Are you hurt?"
"Just a little singed," said Cragger. "You?"
Laval squirmed under the statue. "Been better. Could use a little help here."
Cragger moved toward Laval. But as he did, the floor shook again. The whole room turned, and the stairs by the doorway reappeared. All Cragger had to do was make a run for it and he would be free! But the room could shift any minute and they would disappear again.
Cragger met Laval's gaze for a split second. Then he turned and ran.
Tumblr media
"Cragger?" Laval's heart sank. The Crocodile wouldn't really leave him there?
Would he?
Suddenly, Cragger swerved and jumped over a marching group of Skunk mechs. He snatched a wrench from one of the mech's hands and skidded to a stop right beside Laval.
"Quick!" he said, using the wrench for leverage against the statue. "We'll push together-hurry!"
Together, the two managed to pry the Gorilla statue off of Laval. Cragger helped him to his feet. "Let's get out of here!" he shouted.
Tumblr media
Running faster than they ever had before, they shot through the room and made it out the door just as the floor was starting to turn again.
Together, they clambered back up the stairs. When they got to the top, the Lion and Croc leaned heavily against the wall, gasping for breath.
"Thanks," Laval said finally. "For a second there, I wasn't sure you were going to come back for me."
Cragger shrugged and gave a big Crocodile grin.
"We're friends, right? That's what friends do."
Laval smiled and clapped Cragger on the back. "It sure is."

Tumblr media
Reader and the turtles have been best friends since they were little. When they were thirteen Splinter took reader in after her building burned down. She was mute so when she was confronted with teenage mutant turtles sneaking out of their home to get snacks, there wasn't much of a reaction.
After moving in they became close. The physical differences weren't a problem, and neither was the language barrier. They made it work, because that's what family does. They adjust to ones needs, mentally or emotionally. Even physically. Becoming the sister of Leo, Donnie, Raph, and Mikey had definitely been an adventure. A way of describing it was that every day was a party.
Every night was a rollercoaster. Ups and downs, twists and unpredictable moments where everything flipped upside down and it seemed like it wouldn't go back right up. These moments were when Leo and Raph argued about literally anything. Or whenever one of the brothers poked fun at reader and Leo intervened like the big brother he was to her.
Sometimes it was overwhelming, and she would get mad at him. While it was nice for him to come to her defense so quickly, it wasn't needed all the time. Like whenever Mikey flirted with her. It wasn't like he actually meant it. And Leo would always say that it wasn't appropriate, or that he shouldn't be joking around like that.
A part of her agreed with Leo, Mikey shouldn't be joking. Because otherwise it was definitely sending mixed to reader about how he really felt. She gained a small crush on the orange turtle about a year after moving into the lair. Then after the incident with Shredder and the Kraang, she began to accept the fact that though she had feelings for him, they would most likely never happen. For multiple reasons, the main one being she wasn't as pretty as the other girls he would fawn over. The other was she couldn't talk, she was worried that if anything did happen between them, he grow bored of her being quiet and break things off.
She didn't want that. For herself and everyone else around her. So when Casey and April came over and Mikey had begun his flirting spree with her, she simply smiled and walked away to her room. Headphones on and blasting music so she could calm down.
Leo glared at the little brother and just walked into the dojo to meditate about whatever he need to think about. Raph rolled his eyes and placed a hand on his little brothers shoulder.
"Ignore Leo, you've got a strong chance." Mikey smiled at his brother, appreciating the support from at least one sibling. Donnie had always just kept his distance in these situations and ignored everything. But it was obvious he didn't agree with Leo's stand on the topic either.
"What was that? Does Leo have a crush on reader too or something?" Casey asked making Mikey overthink some very traumatizing scenarios. Raph threw a look at the older man who regretted opening his mouth.
"Nice going Case'" The red turtle mumbled audible enough for everyone in the living room to hear.
"I'm just saying, jeez. Besides, real talk, don't worry 'bout it Mike. I'm sure she likes you too. Should've seen her worried after you guys went to Brazil and we were stuck in holding." That made the young turtle optimistic, but it was shut down by his brain saying that she was probably just worried about them as a whole. He wouldn't blame her, they had been exposed to the police at the time.
"I don't know. Sometimes,.. I think I take it too far. Like Leo's right, I don't know boundaries like he does."
"Did he say that to ya'?" Raph asked shocked that golden boy would be mean to the youngest of the ninja. Thankfully Mikey shook his head but it still left the question. "So why do you think that?"
The orange clad mutant just shrugged and walked into his room and started drawing in the giant sketchbook Splinter had snagged for him during Christmas a couple years ago. After ten minutes of sketching, a knock on his door was heard.
"Come in!" The door opened to reveal Casey. He walked in while closing the door and sat down next to Mikey.
"You okay?"
"Yeah, totally! Why'd ya ask?" Casey gave a look. Not a normal one. Not one that showed simple emotion. One that showed a sign of knowing. Or that let Mikey know, 'Don't lie to me.'
"Real smooth earlier Romeo." Mikey sighed while closing his sketchbook while looking away embarrassed. Of all people to razz on him on wooing someone. Casey was definitely the one he'd least expect.
"Do you think Leo's right?" Mikey turned his head to look at Casey again. A raised eyebrow was what he got. "About,... you know,... accepting," he gestured to his body. "All this?" Casey shrugged and looked down.
"I wouldn't know. At least not like that." This time it was Mikey's turn to look confused. The older male sighed and continued, "When I was in school, someone used to make fun of me because of my accent. My family is Mexican. So my English used to come out really iffy."
"Does April know?" The turtle asked. He knew stuff like this happened. One of the things about topside he didn't like. Casey shook his head.
"She only knows that I faced backlash due to my situation. I told her when I asked her to be my girlfriend. Felt like she needed to know. Or maybe I needed her to know. About both things." There was a pause to see if Mikey understood what he was saying. It looked like he did, because the orange-clad turtle smiled mildly but he continued to cement the idea. "Want my advice? I say do what makes you happy. Not Leo. Not some dumb unwritten rule about relationships. It's your life. Something I'll talk yo Leo for ya'."
Mikey smiled and swooped Casey up into a hug. Now standing up, Casey realized how big the youngest mutant was. He smiled and hugged back patting his shell. Something his dad used to do before.
He watched Mikey walk out of his room and head to where reader was. He saw from the open door, Mikey talking to reader. With what seemed like a nervous smile. Then it turned solemn. Then reader jumped onto Mikey and kissed his cheek. Mikey then hugged back and lightly spun them around.
Casey caught sight of Leo walking out of the dojo and basically ran over to him. Raph, who was chatting with Donnie on the couches, watched the small man run to the eldest brother and practically tug him to Splinter's meditation room.
Whatever was discussed in that room, made Leo not say anything about reader or Mikey's relationship. After a while, he even became more and more happy for them. Reader specifically, guess that older brother energy never truly does go away.

Wine and Secrets
Dean Winchester x fem reader
Summary: A rich kid au where the two of you have grown up closely together with your dad's being business partners. You're best friends and both of you harbor secret crushes. What happens when the two of you get drunk together in your room?
Warnings: alcohol consumption, swearing
You absolutely despised attending the parties your parents hosted. The only upside was that since your dad and John Winchester were business partners, they were always invited. Which means you had an excuse to see his son and your best friend, Dean. It also meant you got an excuse to see Dean in a suit.
You'd been harboring feelings for your best friend for the last few years. It'd been entirely frustrating. You never intended on making a move. Dean was really your only friend, or rather your only friend you could be yourself with. So you appreciated him and didn't want to risk losing him.
You sighed and swirled your glass of champagne. Currently you stood alone, Dean had yet to arrive. You'd texted him, and he'd said he was on his way, but that was twenty minutes ago. You couldn't say you were surprised, Dean wasn't known for being on time. But it still annoyed you to no end.
"Whats a pretty thing like you doing in a place like this?"
You whirled around to see a grinning Dean standing before you. He took the champagne glass from your hands and took a sip, gazing at you over the rim.
You raised a brow, "What took you so long?"
"I had to make sure I looked my best for you sweetheart." He said with a wink.
You rolled your eyes but your heart fluttered nonetheless. That pet name always made you feel like that. If only he knew the effect he had on you.
You took your champagne back from him, finishing it off.
"So how's the party so far?" He asked.
"As boring as ever. The people are so annoying. Elizabeth tried to talk to me."
"Seriously?"
"I walked away. I didn't even want to entertain her." You snorted.
"That's my girl. Take no shit." He grinned proudly.
My girl. God you wanted to be his girl. His.
You smiled in response. Your eyes glanced down and noticed his tie was crooked.
"Dean, again? Seriously, you'd think you'd know how to tie a tie by now." You grumbled.
"Maybe I do it wrong just so you'll fix it." He flirted.
You rolled your eyes but set your glass down and stepped forward and reached up to adjust his tie. When you finished you brushed off his shoulders and stepped back.
"Now you look civilized."
"Boring."
"The price you have to pay for being the heir to a company."
"A company I don't even want." He grumbled.
You sighed, it was a bit of a sore spot for the both of you. The two of you were set up to inherit the company and run it together, but frankly, neither of you wanted it.
"What do you say we sneak off and forget we're heirs for the night?"
His raised his eyes to meet yours, "Really?"
"Mhm."
You stepped back and held your hand out for him to take. He grinned and took your hand, letting you lead him out of the ballroom and up to your room.
He'd been in your room before, bunches of times, but that still didn't stop him from wandering over to your dresser to admire the little trinkets you'd collected over the years. Most of them from him.
"You've had to have looked at those at least a million times." You said, amused.
"I like to look."
"Uh huh. Quit snooping and cmere." You said as you pulled a bottle of wine out from under your bed, along with two glasses. Dean sat next to you in your bed, kicking off his shoes and peeling off his suit jacket.
"Oooo. You're hiding alcohol in your room? What would your father say?" He said in a scandalized tone.
"Probably something similar to what he'd say if he knew you were up here alone with me." You winked.
"Mmm because I'm so big and bad."
"You're a boy."
"Excuse you. I am a man."
You started to giggle.
"Whyre you laughing? Stop laughing." He tried to act angry but he couldn't help the smile that stretched across his face.
"Just shut up and drink." You said as you shoved a glass of wine towards him.
Over the next hour you and Dean drank and talked. Telling stories you'd told hundreds of times before. Teasing each other. And then gossiping about the kids of the other businessmen and women.
"Cindy is dating a different dude. Some guy named Leo."
"Seriously? She was dating someone else like a month ago."
"She's got a more exciting love life than I do." You groaned.
Dean chuckled, "You're so dramatic."
"I'm not though. Either people just aren't interested or the guys that are get too scared of my dad. No one is willing to brave him to date me. I'm not worth it." You complained, flopping onto your back.
"Of course you're worth it."
"Dean you're legally required to say that."
"I mean it."
You looked at him, you could only see the back of his head, but you could hear the anger in his voice.
"What're you getting so tense for?"
"I just..."
You sat up, "You just what?"
"I just wish you knew how special you are."
"Dean..."
"You are special y/n. You're amazing. You're smart and beautiful and funny and kind."
Your heart sped up, there was a tension in the air that you couldn't quite place, but you wanted to ease it.
"Careful Dean, you're gonna make me think you're in love with me." You teased.
"So what if I am?"
You froze, your breath caught in your throat.
"What?"
"So what if I am in love with you?" He growled out, finally turning to look you in the eye. His face was unreadable.
"Dean you've had too much wine you don't know what you're saying."
"I know exactly what I'm saying. Wine or not."
"I..." Your brain way too hazy to formulate a proper response.
You'd wanted this for you didn't even know how long. And suddenly he was there in front of you and it was happening.
But Dean took your lack of response as a rejection.
"Forget it." He grumbled, gathering his stuff and heading out the door.
It wasn't until he'd left the room that you realized what was going on.
"Dean! Wait!" You called out to him. But he didn't turn around. You chased him down the stairs, stumbling a bit. But he was out the front door and didn't turn around.
"Dean! Please!" You pleaded, but he got into the backseat of his car and drove off.
"Damnit damnit damnit!" You shouted, tears coming to your eyes.
It had finally happened. He was there. In front of you. He'd said exactly what you wanted to hear. And you just let that slip through your fingers. He'd left.
The next few days were incredibly frustrating. Your dad had you doing work in the financial department of the company, so you couldn't go find Dean. Instead you texted. And called. But he never answered.
You were desperate, you'd left voicemail after voicemail pleading for him to talk to you. But they remained ignored.
Finally on your days off you opted for showing up at the places you knew he'd be. Or at least you thought you knew. He was nowhere to be found. So, you went to his house.
His maid, Gina, answered the door. She greeted you warmly.
"Gina can I ask you a favor?"
"What is it dear?"
"When Dean gets here can you please not tell him I'm waiting in his room?"
"Did you two have a falling out? Is he avoiding you? I ought to give that brat a whipping." She narrowed her eyes.
You chuckled, "Something like that. Thanks Gina. I owe you one."
"Not a problem dear."
When you got into his room it was just as messy as usual. Clothes tossed on the floor, books and papers scattered on his desk. You smiled softly, he'd never been tidy. It was endearing.
You sat on the bed, playing on your phone while you waited. An hour later, the door creaked open. You looked up, Dean was staring at his phone. You could see the eyebags, and it looked like he hadn't shaved in a couple days. He looked rough.
You stood, waiting for him to notice you. He kicked the door shut and finally looked up, eyes widening when he realized you were there.
"Dean-"
"No. You need to leave."
"Dean please-"
"No, y/n. I can't. I can't do this. I can't sit here and listen to you tell me you're sorry that you don't feel the same. I can't listen to you say we can still be friends. I can't just-"
"Will you fucking listen to me damnit!" You interrupted him. He looked shocked, you'd never raised your voice at him before.
"God Dean you're so fucking infuriating. You sit there and you get all in your head that you have the right idea without listening to what other people have to say."
"I-"
"No. I'm not done. You've been ignoring me for five god damn days and it pissed me off. You didn't return my calls or texts or anything. You even avoided going to places you usually do because you knew I'd be there. Did you even listen to my voicemails? Did you?"
"Yes." He whispered, he was staring at the ground, avoiding your fiery gaze.
"Then how could you not come see me? At the very least call me back? After everything. After all these years how could you not give me the opportunity to respond to that?" You'd started to tear up.
"I'm sorry."
"God Dean. I just. I've been sitting here the last few days beside myself because my best friend, the person I rely on and care about the most won't talk to me."
You hadn't even intended on yelling at him and scolding him like this. You'd thought it'd be a tearful reunion, one full of love and kisses and affection. But the hurt and the anger and frustration you'd felt over the last few days had built up into this big cloud of pain and anger and it needed to be released.
"I'm sorry." He whispered, his voice was painfully tense.
"How could you not give me the opportunity to tell you that I love you too? That I feel the same way?" The tears were falling now.
His head flew up, staring at you in shock.
"Wait you-you do?"
"Yes Dean. Yes."
The coat in his hand fell to the floor as he stepped towards you, taking your face into his hands and kissing your tears away. Your own hands came up to hold his, sobs shaking your body.
"I'm so so sorry sweetheart. I'm sorry that my idiocy came between us and hurt you like that. I never should have left that night."
He kissed your forehead, then your nose, and finally your lips. You kissed him back hungrily, desperately.
You kissed him until you ran out of breath, pulling back, panting.
"You're such a fucking dumbass Dean Winchester."
"I know."
"You ready to brave my dad then loverboy?"
"Absolutely. I'm gonna marry your pretty little ass, I swear it."
"I'm holding you to that."
"Good."
And he leaned down to kiss you again.

@steddie-week day 1 pining
Steve always fell hard and fast, and he'd never been scared of doing something about it. Any girl he'd fallen for, he'd be happy to pursue them, sometimes he was successful, often he wasn't. He had the attitude that the worst that they could say was no. But this was different. He had fallen for Eddie somewhere between taking a denim vest to the face in the Upside Down and getting called "Big boy" in the front of a hotwired RV. And he was terrified about what he meant, sure he'd found other guys attractive before. He'd even had a small crush on Tommy Hagan that he'd never admit to. But it'd never been anything like this, the feelings so similar to what he once felt for Nancy. The small touches that made him flustered, the in-jokes that had him riding a high for hours, the flirting that made him question everything about where he stood with Eddie, drifting off into daydreams about a future and a family together. He was terrified about it going wrong.
He confided in Robin about it. She was the only person he'd told about being bisexual, after he heard the word from Vickie. He'd accepted liking both, but it was nice to know that there was a word for it, and that he wasn't the only one. Robin hadn't exactly been helpful about his feelings for Eddie, encouraging him to at least come out to Eddie.
"I mean he's cool with me being a lesbian and Vickie being bi, and he's cool with us dating. I don't see why he wouldn't accept you being bi. It's not like he's an asshole or anything." Robin insisted while they were working.
"Well, he can be kinda an asshole. And it's different. You're girls. You don't pose a threat to him, it's not like you and Vickie being together changes anything for him. With me being bi, I like him. I want to be with him, and straight guys feel threatened by that. Do you know how many guys on the basketball team got off to lesbian porn, but would break a guy's nose for looking just a little too long? Newsflash, it was most of them." Steve dropped his head onto the counter, not wanting to think about what could go wrong.
"First of all, gross. You owe me lunch for putting that image in my head. And Eddie isn't like those guys. He's not going to hurt you for liking guys. Or are you just going to make me watch you pining over him your whole life?" Robin asked, nudging him.
"I'm not pining." Steve hissed, before quickly straightening up as he heard the bell over the door chime. "Hi, welcome to Family Video, please let us know if you need- oh, hey, Eddie."
"At someone's excited to see me. Where's your enthusiasm, Buckley?" Eddie said as he approached the desk.
"Any enthusiasm I have dies when I walk in those doors, and comes back to life when I walk back out of them," Robin replied dryly.
"I'm always excited to see you, Eddie." Steve deadpanned, hoping he wouldn't be able to see through the words.
"Excited enough to waive my late fees for these?" Eddie asked holding a stack of four Friday the 13th tapes, but Steve already had the screen open to clear them.
"Already done. I hope you took the time to rewind them, Munson." Steve replied as he started checking the cases.
"I would do anything for my favorite Family Video employee, Stevie." Eddie winked at him before moving away to look for another movie.
Steve fought back a blush, and tried not to over think it.
"How's that crush, Stevie?" Robin whispered in a mocking tone.
"Shut up," Steve whispered back, keeping his eyes on Eddie, hoping he hadn't heard the exchange.
"So, what do you say about a movie night at mine tonight.? I've got the movies, and any other provisions." Eddie asked as he came back to the counter. Robin started checking out the movies.
"Sure, need me to bring anything?" Steve replied, wanting to make the most of his time with Eddie.
"Just your pretty self, Stevie." Eddie smiled at Steve. "And Buckley if she's in?"
"Yeah. Vickie's out of town, so it's not like I have anything better to do." Robin handed the movies back to Eddie.
"We get off at six," Steve added.
"Just come over any time, I'll be waiting for your arrival." Eddie winked at Steve again, before leaving.
"I'm so screwed." Steve dropped his head back onto the counter as soon as the door shut. "How does he get away with coming in here looking like that and calling me pretty."
"I believe you now, totally not pining or anything. You're just so normal about your friendship with Eddie." Robin hopped up onto the counter next to Steve, determined to keep bugging him about it.
-
After work, Robin had to convince Steve that it would be weird to go home and change before heading over to Eddie's.
"I get that you have this huge crush on him or whatever, but he saw you like this earlier, so he'd know that you changed just for him. That you wanted to make yourself look good for him." Robin pointed out as Steve started to drive.
"Jesus, Rob, you don't need to lay it on so thick. I get it, I'm hopeless." Steve sighed. He just wanted to get through the evening without anything going wrong.
When he pulled up outside the small house the government had given Eddie and Wayne in the aftermath of the Upside Down, he stopped to check his hair and appearance in the mirror of his car.
"You look fine, Dingus. Eddie's not going to care that you look the exact same as you did when he saw you four hours ago." Robin called from where she was standing on the top step.
The movie night started as normal, with Eddie rambling as he got the tv set up.
"So Gareth is trying to set me up with his cousin. And nothing against the guy, he's nice and pretty attractive, but it wouldn't be fair to him because I'm interested in another guy right now." Eddie said as he plugged the wires in.
Steve froze. The only thing going around his head was the words 'interested in another guy.'
"Guy, huh?" Robin asked, elbowing Steve in the side to pull him out of his mini freak out.
"Uh, yeah. I'm bisexual." Eddie admitted a little shyly.
"Me- bi- same." Steve stuttered out, not wanting Eddie to think he was against it. "I mean, me too. I'm bi as well."
"Cool." Eddie flashed a smile at Steve, before coming over to join them on the couch.
After the first movie, while Eddie was in the bathroom, Steve and Robin had a hurried conversation.
"Now's your chance. Ask him out, you know he also likes guys. You can do this, Steve." Robin said quickly, almost bouncing in her seat.
"Didn't you hear? He said he's interested in another guy. I don't want to ask him out just to get turned down." Steve pointed out.
"He said he didn't want to date Gareth's cousin because he was interested in another guy. You might be that other guy. If you ask him out the worst that could happen is he says no."
"The worst that could happen is I make it awkward by having feelings for him and it wrecks our friendship. I don't want to ruin anything, Robin." He replied a little sadly.
"You won't ruin it. He won't think badly of you for liking him."
"Can you just drop it for tonight? I want to just get through the movie without thinking about how pathetic I am." Steve turned away from her, signalling the end of the conversation as Eddie walked back in.
It was getting late when Steve and Robin were leaving, both wanting to get home as they were working another opening shift the next day.
"Hey, Steve? Can I talk to you a minute?" Eddie called as Steve went to follow Robin out the door.
"Yeah, man. What's going on?" Steve folded his arms over his chest and leaned against the wall, hoping to look casual.
"Are you busy Saturday night? I was wondering if you'd want to get dinner or something? With me? Just us?" Eddie asked, tripping over his words a little.
Steve flushed slightly. "I-I'd like that. What were you thinking?"
"I'm gonna plan something good. I'll pick you up at eight?"
Steve took a step closer to Eddie. "It's a date."

How about “you know me better than that” with Sam Wilson 💙
Hi Em! This is my first time ever writing for Sam <3
Tumblr media
Sam stopped at your apartment to check on you. You hadn't responded to his messages, but he knew you probably wouldn't. He disappeared without a word for a few weeks with Bucky for a mission. It was last minute and you were out with some friends and he didn't want to worry you, but he knows he should've said good-bye at least.
He had already knocked and was waiting with a bouquet of flowers in his hands for you to open the door. He heard some shuffling on the other end before the door whipped open. Looking up from the bundle of your favorite flowers, he wanted to throw on his best charming smile but halted when he saw the anger in your eyes.
"Uh, hi sweetheart," He said, suddenly nervous at the rage swimming in your pupils.
"Don't 'hi sweetheart' me, Wilson," You growled out, "Where the hell have you been? It's been two weeks!"
Nervously swallowing and clearing his throat, he held the flowers out, "I can explain, if you wanna let me in?" He watched as you huffed a breath through your nose before taking the flowers from him.
"I don't want to let you in, but I don't want the neighbors hearing either, so get in here." You turned and walked into your apartment, leaving him to shut the door behind him as he followed you to the kitchen, waiting while you got a vase and water for the flowers.
Once you were done, you turned on him with your arms crossed as you leaned against the counter behind you.
"Well? Care to explain?"
"You know I'm Captain America now, sometimes I have to go away for a while." He offered, but you just scoffed.
"Yes I know that, I'm not dumb. But you left without a word! Do you have any idea what went through my head thinking of all the things that could've happened?"
"I know, I'm sorry."
"No," You stopped him, "You don't know. I thought something happened to you. I thought you were never coming back."
He froze at the sight of tears lining your lashes, ones you tried to keep from falling.
"Part of me even thought that maybe I did something that made you leave. That maybe I ruined us," You muttered and he stepped forward, gently grabbing your elbows to pull your arms from their crossed position. He slid his hands down your arms to grab your hands, holding them between the two of you.
"Sweetheart, you know me better than that," He softly said, looking down at you with his brows pinched, "Don't you?"
You sighed, letting the tears slide past your lashes, "I thought I did, but then you vanished."
At that, his heart broke in two and the pieces plummeted through the floor beneath his feet. Gently tugging on your hands, giving you time to resist, he pulled you into a crushing embrace.
"I'm so sorry, love," He muttered into your hair, pressing his lips there, "I should've told you what was goin' on."
"Yeah you should've," You mumbled into his jacket, your hands slowly but surely moving to wrap around his back. "If you want this to work, you have to tell me these things."
"I know," He sighed, "I just didn't want you to worry while you were out with your friends that night."
You gave him a light smack on his back, "You big dummy," you mumbled before pulling back, "I'd rather know and worry for your safety than sit here wondering where you went."
"I know, I'm sorry." He squeezed you to him, trying to convey how sorry he felt through this embrace and you squoze him right back.
"Just don't do it again." You demanded, pulling back to look up at him through your wet lashes.
"I promise, never again." He gave you a small smile, "And if I ever do, I'll let Bucky smack me upside the head, how about that?"
That pulled a soft giggle from you, "Only if it's not with the vibranium arm, we can't have him giving you a concussion now can we?"
He let out a hearty laugh, "No I suppose we can't."

[chapter one] [chapter two] [chapter three] [chapter four]

Tumblr media
Author’s Note: Heavily follows the plot and contains spoilers! If you haven’t watched S4 I wouldn’t recommend reading this fic. Maybe you could save it for later? This chapter is mostly the reader spending alone time with Eddie. Also the summary is for the entire series, not only for this chapter. Please read the first chapter before reading this one! And if any of you are wondering how long this series is going to be, I unfortunately don't have an answer to that right now. Hope you enjoy!
Word Count: 3.7k
What to Expect: Eddie Munson x reader, Reader doesn’t believe in supernatural things before she does, Detailed story telling about reader’s trauma and a nightmare that is connected to it, Eddie comforting and taking care of the reader, Really sweet moments with Eddie and more. Oh and also the usage of the nickname 'Sweetheart'.
Spoilers below cut, you have been warned!
After Dustin ran away, he came back just as fast and said, ‘Okay as fun as it was, we have no time to lose.' and continued,
'So about Hawkins being haunted; What I’m about to tell you can be a little difficult to understand…’ He said and told you all about the 'Upside Down' and the demogorgons, a little girl with superpowers etc. It was difficult to understand, like he said. You never believed in supernatural things before.
Eddie was handling it better because he experienced one of those supernatural-murder things first hand. Though he was still confused about the monsters since he didn't saw any involved in Chrissy's murder. Not that he could see any, at least.
After Dustin and the others finished explaining what was going on, Robin lastly said 'Look Eddie, (Y/N), I know they sound delusional right now but trust me, they've experienced it before. More than once actually. Like, a LOT.' She was speaking faster now, the way she did whenever she was talking more than she should have. 'I've experienced it before too. Theirs was more smokey, dust related and mine was more in a human-flesh typa thing but... yeah.' She stopped talking with a small smile on her face, understanding that she had to shut up from the way Steve looked at her.
                                           ****
You and Eddie asked some questions that you wanted to ask about this strange parallel world. After your little Q&A session ended, you started to brainstorm about Chrissy's murder. From what they have told to the both of you, some dots finally started to align in your head but you guys were nowhere near to solving this case.
After a few minutes, Eddie and Dustin started to talk about D&D. They were talking about a character named Vecna and its curse. Turns out Vecna was a strong character who did curses on the D&D players' characters and 'It' was famously known by all the players. All of you except Dustin and Eddie were confused about why they were talking about the game right now.
But the more they talked about it, the more similarities there were between Vecna and whatever invisible creature you were facing at that moment. So, they decided to name the invisible murderer after that game character, Vecna.
When the talking came to an end, everyone was tired from all the adventure that they had today and it was getting late. Eddie and you were still talking about the news that you have just learned. The rest of the group on the other hand, started to grab their belongings. They were ready to go home and get a good night's rest. When all the others gathered around the door, ready to walk out, Steve said 'Hey (Y/N), you're not coming?'
Ever since you lost your parents, you didn't want to go back to your house. It didn't feel like home anymore and it brought you nothing but sadness. After that mall fire, you spent the night at your friends' houses. The ones who allowed you to stay at their place changed from time to time since you couldn't have crashed at their place for too long; It wouldn't have been appropriate. You knew you had to go back home and face the truth but you didn't feel ready yet.
'I can't go back to Ashley's house again, I've been staying over at her place for 3 days already and I haven't had a chance to talk with anybody else. Can I stay with one of you guys tonight?' You asked, feeling a little ashamed.
Without leaving others a chance to talk, Eddie asked:
'Why don't you stay with me tonight? I know it won't be the comfiest night of your life but I don't wanna stay here alone with my own thoughts.'
You turned to him and calculated your option. Staying the night with Eddie actually didn't sound like a bad idea. Sure, he was a wanted man and there was no bed in the shack so it was going to be uncomfortable. But you were going to be alone with him, it was a perfect chance to get to know him better. So you said, 'That's a great idea, I'll stay with you.'
The others were surprised at how fast you were going but they were also really happy. You had this crush for months now and you two were finally spending time together. And him having an interest in you too was a cherry on top.
They were a little worried about you staying in the shack though; Jason could've find both of you and you could've gotten into trouble too because of Eddie. Although they were worried, they respected your choice and promised to bring you guys some food for tomorrow. Then, they left.
Once they got into the car and disappeared into the forest, you started to look around. There was nothing but boat related stuff in the shack, obviously. But you were looking for a little pillow or an extra blanket. Once you understood that there were none, you turned to Eddie. He was watching you all this time, with an amused expression on his face.
'What are you doing?' He asked.
'Looking for something ...comfy to sleep on.'
'In this shack? Good luck finding it, sweetheart.'
That nickname he just called you made you blush. You didn't want to give in so easily but it was hard. You turned to him, trying to look annoyed. 'There's gotta be something we can do. What about we take some pillows from Reefer Rick's place?'
                                             ****
After you sneakily took two pillows and a big blanket, you went back to the shack. You two were like ghosts, you didn't make a single sound while going in and out. After you came back to your hiding place, Eddie turned to you and said,
'Okay so tell me about yourself.'
'What do you wanna know?'
'Hmm... like how was little (Y/N) in middle school?'
You chuckled at his question, wondering why he asked this out of all the others he could've asked. It was a sweet and caring question though, so you liked it. As you started to think about all the memories, it felt like such a long time ago. And it was actually. But you didn't want to grow up. You didn't want time to pass quickly. Especially right now.
After you told him all of your stories, the good and the bad ones, it was his turn. He told you about how his head was buzzed and he was in a band group. Then, he told you about the talent show that they took a part in. Talent shows have never been your thing so you couldn't remember that day. He helped you remember it by giving you a little theatrical show. He told you about the magician guy with the bunny, mimicking to get the bunny out of the black magician hat.
Eddie was so good at acting and he absolutely knew how to lighten up the room with his charm and funny sense of humour. You were cracking up while he was giving you a show, even he was laughing at himself for being this silly. You were having an amazing time. Then he continued with a talented girl who painted a little amazing canvas and the cheerleader team. He did a little move, copying the moves they made during their performances. Then he remembered Chrissy.
His playfulness was now replaced with an emotionless expression. He was looking at a distant view, deep in thoughts. You immediately went next to him, looking at the same direction. You were standing side by side now, looking at the sky which was full of stars.
'Look Eddie, It's not your fault. None of it is your fault.' You said, placing a hand on his back, occasionally moving it up and down to reassure him. Eddie didn't want to look you in the eyes. 'Maybe I could've done something to prevent it...'
'No don't do this to yourself, please.' You forced him to turn to you, to look at you straight in the eye. 'You couldn't have known what was right, we still don't know what 'Vecna' truly is and what it wanted from her... You could've gotten yourself killed, Eddie.' You said, feeling the tears beginning to form in your eyes.
'Hey hey hey, no I'm right here. C'mon now c'mere.' He said, almost in a whispering tone while opening his arms widely for you to hug him. You closed the distance between the two of you, waiting for a moment for him to pull you in closer. After his hands found its way down to your waist, he wrapped his arms around you and you laid your head on his chest. The feeling of his arms around you, squeezing your body lightly made you feel safe. It was a really beautiful and comforting feeling you have never experienced before, not like this.
You stayed like that for a while until Eddie broke the silence by saying 'As much as I'd like to spend the whole night cuddling like this, we better get some sleep. You never know what tomorrow holds for us.'
                                           ****
Before going to sleep, you and Eddie had trouble figuring out where you should sleep. Since you two only found one blanket, it wasn't going to be easy. But you also had another problem. Like what if someone came to the shack looking for Eddie in the middle of the night? You sleeping on the ground wouldn't have caused any problems since people didn't know that you two were close. Also sleeping on the floor would've been more comfortable than sleeping in a small boat.
And also neither of you wanted to take things faster than it should've been. You had so much time ahead of you, right? So, Eddie was going to sleep in the boat, the boat cover was going to be on top of it just to be safe and you were going to sleep on the floor. He gave you the blanket and helped you form your little 'bed'. After that, you laid down and he kneeled beside you, placing a small kiss to your forehead.
'Goodnight sweetheart.'
'I love that nickname.' you chuckled, feeling the burn in your cheeks and the butterflies in your stomach.
'Goodnight Eddie.'
                                            ****
Some hours went by while the two of you slept peacefully.
Then, in your dream, you saw your parents. They were waving at you, calling your name. They looked so happy and …alive. You thought that it was real. That you were there, with them. As the time went by, you understood that it was a memory. A memory from your middle school times actually. It was the first day of middle school, you were so excited to go back there and hang out with your friends. You have spent an amazing vacation and you wanted to share it with them.
It was a beautiful sunny day, the sun was shining brightly in the sky. You were getting ready as your mother called you from the living room saying ‘(Y/N), come on honey you wouldn’t want to be late to your first day of school, right?’ You said: ‘I’m coming mom!’ and rushed outside, with your backpack on your hand. Your mother helped you get into the car and your father started the engine. It was nice to have them drop you off at school. You felt safe with them.
After a short amount of time, your father parked the car in front of your school and all of you got out. You were so excited, ready to go to your new class. You grabbed your backpack and your mother helped you to put it on. When you were all set, you started to walk towards the main door of your school. You were halfway there when your parents shouted at you, calling your name saying ‘Have a nice day at school (Y/N), we love you so much baby!’ You turned to them and saw that they were waving hands, looking happier than ever. You returned the smile and waved at them before going in.
And your vision started to blur, your sight becoming worse. You couldn’t see anything because of the smoke that was covering your vision. You started to understand where you were: in the mall, during the goddamn fire. There was smoke everywhere and all you could hear was the sirens of the ambulance and the fire engine. You were searching for your parents, trying to look everywhere but it was impossible. It was getting harder to breathe and you thought like you were being strangled. After a few seconds, you saw a fireman running towards you. He looked so worried and he yelled ‘I’m here okay? I’m going to get you out of here as soon as possible!’ You were a little relieved but you were still worried about your parents. Although you were struggling to get oxygen, you were shouting: ‘MOM! DAD! WHERE ARE YOU?’ You kept repeating to shout until you felt like your lungs were burning…
‘Mom, Dad…’ you were murmuring in your sleep. It was obvious that you were seeing a nightmare. Eddie started to hear your voice as it kept getting louder and louder. He immediately jumped out of the boat and ran next to you. In the process, he accidentally hit his foot on something, something rigid. He couldn’t see what it was because there was no light. He cussed to himself, saying ‘Shit shit shit.’ But thanks to that little accident, he was now fully awake.
After he sat down next to you, he saw that you were shaking. You were sleeping in a place where a ray of the moonlight hit you, illuminating your face. There were little beads of sweat on your forehead and you were squinting your eyes, hard. He was in a shock but he knew he had to hurry. So, he grabbed your shoulders and started to shake you slowly. He didn’t want to make a wrong move, that's why he was acting carefully. As the time went by, your voice kept getting louder. ‘MOM, DAD!? WHERE ARE YOU!’ He started to shake you firmly now. ‘(Y/N), Wake up! Wake up (Y/N), wake uup!’
And then, you woke up. For the first few seconds, you started to look around the room, trying to figure out where you were. You were still shaking a little, eyes wide open and mouth agape. Eddie was still holding your shoulders, trying to ground you. You were close to a wall so he grabbed your pillow and put you in a fowler’s position. When your eyes finally met, you felt relieved.
He was talking to you in a soft tone, almost whispering: ‘It’s over now (Y/N). You’re here, I’m here. You’re safe with me.’ And urged you to come closer to him. Once again you closed the distance between the two of you, hugging him tightly as if holding him loosely was going to result in him fading away. His long, untamed hair was on your forehead, mixing with your sweaty hair. You wanted to stay there, like this, in his arms for as long as you can. You thought that he was going to back away to give you a little space but he didn’t. He held you in his arms and you nuzzled up against him.
When you finally came to your senses, you started to talk slowly, your bottom lip trembling: ‘I saw this nightmare before. It literally haunts me and I can’t escape it.’ You were now sitting in front of each other, looking at each other’s eyes. He gave you an understanding look, his eyes observing your face.
‘You were screaming ‘Mom and dad’ repeatedly, I don’t wanna cross a line but would you like to tell me what happened?’
‘If you want to, tho. No pressure.’ He said, trying to look nonchalant in case you didn’t want to talk about it.
‘No, it’s fine. I will tell you about it.’ you said and told him all about that day. When you finished telling the story, you also added ‘I’ve been having these ongoing headaches recently and occasionally I’ve been seeing the same nightmare. But I don’t remember experiencing it this badly before.’ You lowered your gaze, you were now looking at the blanket. Your hands were on top of it and without realizing, you started to play with your hands like you did whenever you got anxious.
‘I’m sorry (Y/N)...’ He said, frowning.
You quickly added: ‘That’s why I’ve been staying at my friends’ house for some time now. Going back home makes me aware of the reality we live in -as if I ever get a chance to forget- and rubs the harsh reality in my face.’
‘I understand.’ He said, unable to form any convenient phrases. Instead of turning this into a therapy session, he abruptly said: ‘Well, I am not going into that small boat again! I’m going to sleep here, next to you.’ He was never good at comforting someone or talking about feelings. His coping mechanism was to use sarcasm and that pretty much explained everything. No one really expected anything from him when it came to reassuring someone with the help of using words. He tried to keep things light hearted and as playful as possible, trying to distract the person from their own dark thoughts.
‘But what if they see you from the window?’
‘Let them, I don’t care. You need me right now’
‘Aand I refuse to go back to that boat, folding in half just to fit my ass into that small space.’
And when he saw that you were smiling again, he felt warm inside. Seeing you all miserable when you were having that nightmare was one of the worst things he had to experience but it was now all in the past.
He immediately stood up and went to get his pillow, running funnily just to make you laugh. And it was working, you were laughing. All the sadness in the air slowly disappeared and both of you were grateful for that. After he got his pillow, he quickly returned to your side and you scooted over to give him some space under the blanket. For a second you two remained still, not quite sure what to do with your hands and all of that.
‘Uh, this is kinda awkward isn’t it?’ Eddie said. ‘Like, what are we supposed to do now?’
‘Well, we could cuddle if you’d like..’
‘Ah yeah sure.’ he said quickly, in an awkward-Eddie way and turned to your side. You two found the most comfortable position to cuddle and after a few seconds, he started to play with your hair, running his hands through it as you both slowly drifted off to sleep.
                                                      ****
When the morning finally came, you felt the warmth of a ray of sunshine on your face. You slowly opened your eyes and saw Eddie sleeping right next to you, having a peaceful little smile on his face. As you were yawning and getting ready to say good morning to him, you heard the door of the shack opening loudly.
You immediately freaked out and saw some figures standing on the doorway. You were ready to wake up Eddie when you saw a figure approaching inside. Turns out it was Steve. He yelled ‘FOOD DELIVERY’. At that moment Eddie literally jumped on the floor and instantly tried to cover himself with the blanket, not making any noise. After his drowsiness went away, he understood that it was Steve who was yelling like crazy on a peaceful morning. ‘Ah, what beautiful a way to wake up!’ Eddie exclaimed, his voice filled with annoyance. It was probably the crack of dawn, he thought to himself.
‘Hey! Morning sleepyheads.’ said Max while getting inside, holding a paper bag full of snacks. ‘Heyy..’ you said, still having that raspy morning voice. ‘You guys know what time it is?’
‘It’s 13.46.’ Dustin stated, checking his watch. Eddie and you were both shocked. You guys said ‘What?!’ at the same moment, earning a laugh from the others. ‘Guess you got a good night’s sleep guys’ said Robin, unaware of all the shit you went through in the middle of the night last night. You managed to say ‘Yeaah, right..’
                                                     ****
After you two had a breakfast -which was dry cereal- ; Robin shared the news. She said that the police were definitely looking for Eddie and that there has been another murder just like Chrissy’s. They said the murdered guy’s name was Fred Benson and that he used to be a member of the school’s newspaper team. ‘What does Vecna want from highschoolers?’ You asked genuinely. None of you seemed to have an answer to that but it was obvious that there was a connection. One that you couldn’t figure out for now.
And Dustin said, ‘That’s what we’re gonna find out.’ confidently.

Summary: You are Dustin's sister, everyone adores you but one. Eddie Munson. You are mute and no one has heard you talk except Dustin and your mom. Will Eddie crack and comes to understanding why you are the way you are?
There was silence in the Henderson household. Dustin watched the heart broken look on your face as you pushed the now cold food around your plate. He watched you shut down and return to the familiar notebook in hand. Your mother hasn't heard you talk since you were happy, before. She asked Dustin what happened but Dustin had told her, he was trying to fix it.
" Baby cakes, please eat" your mother put her hand on your hand that was laying on the table, trying to cheer you up. She had made your favorite but you have not taken one single bite. You eyed her hand before eyeing her, she frowned feeling the disconnecting from you. You picked up your plate walking into the kitchen to put it near the sink.
" Dustin, what happened with your sister?" Dustin watch you walk out the door with a jacket on, turning to his mom, he sighed and shrugged.
It was his fault you were like this.
You walked down the path from your house, having no idea where you were walking when a car drove by but it stopped when it drove past you. It backed up but you had no idea about it as you stuffed your hands into the pockets of your jacket feeling the breeze against your cheeks.
But the car was a maroon BMW 733I. You knew who it was now as it stopped by you but you refused to stop for it.
" Dammit Y/N!" they said from the driver side. Steve.
You had no intentions of talking to him or anyone for that matter. You felt numb, lost and unwanted.
He got out of the car, slamming the door as he made his way to you grabbing your wrist to stop you.
" Let go of me!" you pulled at your wrist, trying to get him to not touch you. " Y/N, calm down. It's Steve"
" Go away" you muttered him turning around to walk away.
" I'm sorry!" he shouted throwing his hands in the air trying to get your attention. He didn't like that you were walking out in the middle of the day without telling anyone where you were. Dustin had called him telling him that you left without unknown of where you were going.
Steve got worried and now he wants to make sure you are safe.
" Sorry? For what?" you turned to face him, hands on your hips just like does. He eyes you and raises his eyebrow in question if you were mocking him or what.
" I'm a dumbass for not telling you about the Upside down, we all are. We wanted you safe, to stay away from that world. You were better off not knowing about it. You had too much on your plate as is"
" Bull fucking shit, Harrington!" Steve was shocked at your choice of words there but let you continue.
" You were my friend, at least that's what I thought you were. I thought you didn't hide things from someone like me, I trusted you. You know how big that is for me. Thank you for looking out for me, but I don't know if you noticed but I'm a big girl. I can take care of myself. What if you never told me about this world, what if I lost you or Robin or Nancy or Dustin? Or someone else? Don't I matter, do my feelings do not count?!"
" They do! You count, Y/N. We all weren't thinking, we just wanted to keep you out of it. What if we lost you?"
" You already did" Steve mouth opened and closed at your answer. " Y/N, please.."
You shook your head, " Leave me alone, Harrington" you turned around walking away but not before he ran to grab you and threw you over his shoulder.
" Steve! Put me down!" you wiggled in his grasp, kicking him in the back and trying to get out but there was no use as he pushed you into his car, closing the door. You rushed to the side to open the door, but Steve got in and locked the door.
He turned around to face you pointing his finger at you, " we all care about you Y/N, even Munson."
You snorted as he mentioned Eddie, putting your arms across your chest glaring daggers at him.
" You might hate us Y/N, you might not like us but we only did it to protect you"
" I don't need your protection" he sighed starting the car and driving toward his house.
-
You looked up at Robin, Nancy, Will, Mike, Max, Lucus, Dustin and Steve who were in the room with you.
" Y/N" Dustin cleared his throat, you glared at him. He gulped what he wanted to say, getting up and patting Mike telling him it was his turn to talk but Mike did the same thing and patted Lucus to talk, Lucus did the same thing and Max rolled her eyes as she sat in front of you.
" Y/N" she started but you glared at her like she was six feet under you. " We care a lot about you"
" Steve said that already" you muttered. She nodded, looking at Steve for help. He sighed throwing his hands up.
" Must I do this myself" Robin scoffed as she started to say something when everyone started to yell at each other on what to say to you. You were watching this unfold, frowning seeing Eddie wasn't there.
He hadn't come when Robin plead him to come.
" Enough!" you yelled at them, they all became quite staring at you with wide eyes. " You all seem to only care about me when I was in trouble, when that monster was having me in his trance. You never ask me how I'm doing, you guys never hang out with me anymore. You all dropped me like I am nothing to you, bullshit to your caring. You don't"
" Y/N-" Dustin started to say but you cut him.
" You're suppose to be my brother, my best friend. You left me to go play D&D with your friends, you don't talk to me anymore. You leave me in my own head. All of you. It's unfair"
Your eyes brim with tears as you look at your friends.
" Oh Y/N" Robin says coming to hug, pulling you close to her. You sniffed, grabbing her to hug her back.
" My father used to abuse me and leave me to fend for myself, my father destroyed who I was, how I felt and everything about myself. I trusted you guy and you hurt me"
" We are so sorry Y/N" Robin kisses on top of your head, " yeah me too" Nancy say as she comes to the other side to wrap her arms around you. " Jesus, now I'm crying" Steve mutters as he walks over to the girls, wrapping his arms around them. Will joins next then it's Max, Lucus, Dustin and finally Mike.
They only could hear your sobs as their hearts broke.
-
Eddie sat in his trailer on his bed with a cigaret in his mouth and guitar in his lap. He was playing a song when everything stopped. He looked at the phone deciding weather he should call you and check on you.
He felt like an idiot for shutting you out. Chrissy had seen right through him.
He put his guitar away before putting on his shoes and grabbing his jacket as he headed out the trailer into the van.
He wanted to see you and that's what he was doing.
When he stopped by your house, he noticed Steve's BMW by your door along with someone else car. He stomped on the cigarette he had been smoking before making his way to your door. But he looks through the window to see his friends, and yours around you and comforting you. He watches as they pull away to see you had been crying.
His heart breaks seeing the tears and as if you knew he was there, he watched you raise your head and look at him. Look into his eyes and tell him you needed him.
With the front door flying open, he catches you in his arms as he hold you tight to him. His smell of weed, cigarettes, cheap cologne and pine soothes you as you stop your crying and let him hold you.
One of his hans is behind your head, the other is around your back and his lips are by the corner of your forehead and you listen to his heart beat.
Your hand is in a fistful of his Hellfire shirt while the other is on his back, under his jacket. His hair tickles your face but it's fine, as you love it.
Your friends look at the scene and your brother, it a sight that makes them happy to see because they see the small smile appearing on your lips as Eddie holds you.
It felt like it was just two of you and no one else.
You pull away at him to stare at his chocolate brown eyes as they sparkle looking down at you with awe.
" Eddie" you spoke his name like it was the most beautiful thing that Eddie Munson has heard in his life. His heart flutters seeing the sparkle look in your eyes staring back at him.
You search his eyes and the only hold love, adoration and happiness. His hand comes up to your face, cupping your dry tear stained cheek. His rings make you shiver, in a good way, cold against your cheek.
" Y/N" he says your name like it's the most beautiful thing you have ever heard in your life.
You can't take it anymore being afraid of your feelings and not letting him in.
He glances down at you grab a hold of his jacket and pull him into you. You can feel his breath on your face now.
" Eddie" you say his name again, and lean up brushing your lips against his. He gasps, grabbing your waist and presses his lips against yours as they dance as one.
Finally.
" That's my sister!" Dustin shouts, ready to pounce on Eddie. Steve puts a hand in front of him, " Shut it, Henderson!" he says watching Eddie and you have your moment.
He wanted this for you. He saw how Eddie made you happy and he was going to keep it away, even if he was holding Dustin from jumping on Eddie.
Robin stared in awe with Nancy leaning on her shoulder watching you and Eddie.
They could feel the happiness radiant off of you and him.
But not all happiness lasts.
