it was a NO ADULTS party and therefore, the king and the queen ( aka the parents ) tried to describe him who is he going to marry. it was a pretty obvious force marriage.

“you’ll know it when you see her, she’s awfully pretty” they said.

“i’m l/n y/n” you introduced yourself with a curtsy, sunoo took your hand and kissed the back of it, “you look awfully pretty, y/n”

“oh! her name is minju!” right after the party, the queen and the king reminded sunoo that the girl he’s off to marry is named minju.

Hybrid female reader x Hope Mikaelson (+mikaelson family & caroline)

Summary: Hope has a massive crush on you, a girl who basically nobody knows anything about. And her family comes for a surprise visit, yay.

Hope has been a little obsessed with you, she admits it. She can't help but be attracted to you, you're crazy hot, not afraid to speak what you think, and your personality is amazing. And has she mentioned how drop-dead gorgeous you are?

The only setback is that you hate the school and basically everyone in it.

"You're drooling" Josie whispers into her ear. Hope snaps out of it, and brings a hand up to the corner of her mouth to find out it's completely dry. She rolls her eyes and looks up at Josie, frowning.

"Oh, you're crushing hard. Sorry for interrupting your daydream, but I'm pretty sure your family is here," Josie tells her, looking between Hope and some of her family.

"There are a bunch of newer kids this year, but still a lot of the older ones. I try to make the environment around here fully positive and happy." Caroline explains to the family. An amused snort comes from the couch a couple feet away.

"And you don't ever take a break" You glare at her. All their heads turn towards you. "This is y/n, one of the older students. I believe she came here a couple months before Hope did." Caroline sighs.

"You must be delusional because I did not come here willingly. You forced me. And still force me to be here every fucking day of the year" You stand up, crossing your arms, fury evident in your tons and stance.

"Werewolf?" Kol's the next one to speak. "I don't know, what do you think?" You snap at him before turning back to Caroline. "And that's the other thing, I've been here for how many years, and no one still knows what I am"

"You won't tell us" Caroline points out.

"Well, I would think considering you're apparently an expert on supernatural beings, and run a damn school for them, that you or anyone here would be able to tell like that" You snap your fingers at the end.

Klaus steps forward, not liking the way you've been talking to Caroline. "Oh, don't even start" You roll your eyes before he can get a word out.

"What?" Hope snaps her attention to her friend before looking in the direction Josie was a moment ago. To her surprise, her Dad, Mom, Auntie Rebekah, Uncle Kol, and Uncle Elijah are standing across the room, chatting with the headmistress, Caroline and you?

Oh no, Hope thinks to herself before getting out of her seat and quickly walking toward the group with Josie right behind her.

"Dad! What are you guys doing here?" Hope goes up to her father. "We came here for a surprise visit, but caught up in the wonderland tour," Kol told his niece, glancing at Caroline then at you.

You still have your arms crossed, leaning most of your weight on your right leg, making your left hip slightly pop out a bit more than the other.

Hope tries to keep her eyes off of you, not wanting her family or you to notice.

"Oh, nothing. Having a splendid fucking time!" You tell her in a fake cheery voice. You start walking away, "I like your shoes" you tell Rebekah before walking out of the room, your high heels clicking strongly as you do.

"She's mean..but sweet? I don't know" Caroline shakes her head. "She's like Katherine. I like her" Kol answers, smirking.

"Kol." Elijah says sternly to his little brother as Klaus galres at him.

Hope just stares at the ground, not wanting anyone to notice the flush that appeared on her face. "You okay Sweetie?" Her Mom asks. "Mhm. Uh I'm glad that you guys are here, but Josie and I have to finish a project. I'll, uh, catch up with you later" Hope tells them quickly before practically dragging Josie out of the room with her.

"What was that?" Josie asks her as Hope paces around Josie's room. Lizzie is planning a dance somewhere outside with a huge binder.

"I don't know, but now im pretty sure my family kost likely doesn't like Y/n. And if somehow my delusional relationship with her actually freaking happens then there's no point becuase there's a big chance my dad will get protective and ban her or kill her or something. Wait can she even die? I don't know, there's no way she can't die, right? Oh that would suck I'd she died before I can even make a move, or who am I kidding there's no way that's gonna happen. She probably hates me anyways. God, I'm so pathetic" Hope rants to her best friend.

"Okay, okay, calm down. You're not pathetic. You're just overthinking this way too much. There's no way Y/n hates you, I don't believe she does" Josie places her hands on Hope's shoulders, making her stop moving around.

Hope let's out a breath she didn't know she was holding in, then sighs, "I'm sorry."

"Nothing to be sorry for" Josie smiles.

You walk into the dining hall, only to be met with the same group of people. "Fucking great" you practically growl, rolling your eyes. You go over to the table lined with food and grabbed a piece of garlic bread.

As you're about to take a bite of it, a voice sounds. "Are you sure you're supposed to be eating that? It says no one is to touch the food" Elijah nods to the sign standing before the long table of food.

You glance at it then shrug, "Well too bad, I'm hungry and they don't exactly have any blood beside from fucking Thumper and Bambi" you take a bite of the garlic bread.

"So you're a vampire" Rebekah says. You twitch your eyebrow up, a smirk playing at your lips.

"Depends how you perceive it" you walk over to them, your eyes turning yellow and veins appearing under your eyes.

"A hybrid" Hayley's eyes widened a bit. "Did Hope turn you?" Klaus asks, not remembering himself ever turning you.

"Seriously? You think I'd let a girl who has a crush on me, sire me? I don't think so" you cross your arms.

"Crush?" Kol asks, knowing Hope has only told him about her crush on you. He wonders how you found out, cause there's no way his neice would've told you. Especially considering the interaction earlier today.

"Not that hard to figure out. Especially when her eyes are always on me, not the chalkboard in class" you cross your arms. "Oh, and Katherine was basically my sister, so that was a compliment back there" you smirk.

"Wait, if you're that old, what are you doing here?" Hayley asks.

"Well I'm pretty sure then Caroline would hate me more than she already does, then tell Damon and he would try to kill me, but it would end up with his head cut off his body and then Elena and everyone, and personally I don't have any fucking time or want for that. Though Damon being dead would be a bonus. So mind as well make some people, aka, Caroline miserable for a bit" you pop the rest of the garlic bread in your mouth.

"What? You still have that sappy crush on her?" You tease Klaus.

You turn around and walk out of the room. As you turn the corner, you run into Hope. She looks if you had a word, sheepish.

You sigh, realizing it, "You've been here the whole time, haven't ya?" You crossed your arms.

"Uh, yeah. Sorry," She turned before walking as fast as she could away from you. She had come down here to find her family, and instead heard you talking to them again and couldn't help but eavesdrop on the conversation.

She can't believe she's been so stupid. There's no way she's ever had any chance with you. And your acknowledging about her crush on you was just the cherry on top. She wishes she was anywhere but here now.

You look up, quietly groaning, not wanting her to find out like that. Both your age (well, sort of) and the knowledge of her crush.

You vamp in front of her in a split time of two seconds. "Look, I get it, I'm just some stupid girl who has a crush on a girl or woman I don't know! who's way out of my league. No need to rub it in my face!" She exclaims, trying not to let any tears cloud her vision.

"Hey! You're not some stupid girl, okay?" You tell her before she tries to walk away from you again. She lets out a harsh breath before looking up at you from the ground.

"And I'm not trying to rub anything in your face. Yes, I know you have a crush on me, but I don't want you to think anything bad about that. I'd never use it against you or make fun of you for it, or whatever you think I may do." You run your hands through your hair to keep it out of your face.

"And I've never thought about you in that way before, but I can say that I don't hate you as much as everyone else here," She snaps her gaze from the wall to your face, not expecting that. To have that said to her from you is basically like a simple 'I love you' to someone a person may have known for a while. It's also a really big compliment coming from you.

"So there's that" You walk closer to her before pressing a kiss on her cheek. You walk away, up the stairs to your room as Hope stands there frozen. That's one of the best solutions that could have happened at the moment, and she's practically screaming with joy on the inside.

She brings a hand up to the cheek you kissed and gently grazes her finger against the spot.

Her family then also comes down the hallway and up to her. "What happened, Sweetie?" Her mom asks, noticing her reddened face.

"Oh, n-nothing," She tells her, trying her best to hold back the grin that she has on the inside.

Kol looks from her hand placement and reddened face to her excited stance, putting two and two together. He catches her eye and smirks before mouthing 'good luck'.

That just makes her blush more than she already is if that's even possible.

Do you think that Azul would ever be able to confess any romantic feelings for Jamil? If so, how? And if not, would they be able to get together in any other way?

thanks for your question! it is SO not weird at all i really enjoy stuff like this. actually i am going to go on a huge ramble that goes on a little tangent so like. LONG POST AHEAD!!!! be warned!!!!!

anyways. azul is always confessing his romantic feelings for jamil whether he knows it or not. in every interaction. because he's so damn obvious. hope this helps LOL

in all seriousness though. i really like to think that azul is kind of cursed to be a hopeless romantic despite it going against all of his pragmatic sense. i mean. he's a child of divorce who hates leaving things up to chance and he believes in getting something back whenever he gives something away. being head over heels with someone goes against his whole nature, so i think it's definitely a new thing for him. he won't recognize that his feelings are romantic right away because he'll be too busy trying to justify to himself why he's investing so much time and energy into a guy that Clearly wants nothing to do with him and won't give him the time of day. its business, guys, i swear.... stonks.....

i think once he does come to terms with it though. it starts leaking through in Every Interaction he has w/jamil. in every encounter, azul basically ends up saying I Love You without actually ever speaking it out loud. whether it's through his actions (like getting jamil gifts / offering to help out without any genuine expectation of repayment) or or his words (like implying things about them being good together / complimenting jamil excessively). things he did before he realized, but they just have so much more Weight to them now that he Knows he likes the other in a very Non-Platonic-Business-Partners way. he doesn't intend for it to have that emotional weight but its fucking impossible for him to hide and he does NOT know what to do with himself.

he keeps pushing forward regardless because some part of him hopes that his feelings will reach jamil but he also does it with the expectation that jamil will push back like he always has and that's completely fine by him because never actually directly admitting that these feelings are romantic means that the rejections also stay platonic and that is. Way easier to bounce back from. because god forbid jamil sees at who he is behind all the walls he's put up to protect his most vulnerable and emotional self and ends up hating the real azul too.

tl;dr: i don't think azul would go out of his way to make a real, honest confession of his feelings. but he's so obvious it actually hurts to watch

ok so. as for jamiazu get-together:

maybe im like super biased b/c im a sucker for narratives that involve jamil learning to shake his passivity and going ahead and Taking what he wants. but i always think that any scenario where jamiazu gets together has to be initiated by jamil somehow. azul can make the first move and several moves after that but jamil has to be the one to make the Final move if that makes sense.

i don't have like. one set get-together scenario but i have a couple that i like to rotate in my head sometimes. most of them involve azul being a failgirl and getting caught off guard because i think it's funny and jamil also thinks it's funny. here are two for your viewing pleasure:

azul makes a pass at jamil that is romantic-coded but could be interpreted as platonic. jamil seizes the opportunity to turn it Explicitly into a romantic thing and fluster azul to no end about it.

azul: there's a new tasting menu at the mostro lounge if you'd like to come with me and try, i'd love to see what your discerning palette makes of it ^__^!

jamil, very casually: yeah sure. why not. i'll go on a date with you

azul, who did NOT expect a yes so his head is about to explode in t-minus 5 seconds: oh, uh. that's .fantastic, actually— wait. ....DATE?!?!?;!?

jamil corners azul and admits romantic feelings first. bonus points if it's a situation where any romantic confession would be incredibly out of the blue. and the way that jamil says it is like dropping a bomb on azul

like in potions lab. azul's concentrating very hard on pouring an exact amount of a substance. jamils watching him and at some point out of nowhere he breaks the silence in between them by going "i think i like you. in the romantic sense". azul's concentration snaps immediately and he fumbles the beaker into the cauldron out of sheer WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING. it explodes in both of their faces. they both have no chance to address what jamil said because crewel is chewing them out for the next 15 minutes about lab safety. during the entire 15 minutes azul looks like he's been hit over the head with several bricks. Repeatedly. jamil's smirking the whole time though he dgaf. takes pleasure in flustering azul

anyways. im insane about these guys ♥️ if you stuck around and read the entire post im really sorry for writing so much i just have a lot of thoughts

opla thoughts:

i already heard abt this from someone on tiktok but it was still a little disappointing to me that they changed namis story. like don’t get me wrong it was amazing and i did end up crying at one point but like

the tragedy in the live action of nami sacrificing herself for her village, and the villagers not knowing abt her deal with arlong and hating her for it, thinking she actually joined up with arlong, including her own sister, was good but i prefer the animanga version. because not only is there the tragedy of namis abuse at arlongs hands and being forced to work for her mothers killer, and the villagers hating her, there’s the reveal that they knew all along. it’s like a double whammy of tragedy

nami works to free the village, with this basically impossible deal that arlong had no intention of honoring, while shouldering the villagers hatred, because even if they don’t know what she’s doing, it’s her home and family and she’ll save them no matter what. only the whole time, they knew exactly what she was doing, because genzo got suspicious on his own and made nojiko tell him, and they’ve been trying to make her hate them so she’ll give up on saving them and run away to live her own life. it’s just sooooo good. the tragedy of both sides trying to save each other and accepting that they need to be hated to do that, because they want the best for the other even if that means theyll never see each other again. because the villagers wanted nami to run and live her own life, and if she did then they knew she could never come back again because of arlong obvs. and on the other side i fully believe if namis deal had worked out she would’ve left cocoyasi and never come back bc that’s what she believed the villagers would want

auuughhh it’s just sooooo gooood. both trying to do what they think is best for the other but being too stubborn to try and work out a better way. being in a shitty situation and trying desperately to do what you can even if it hurts you

and also the individual relationships! like i wasn’t a huge fan of the fact that nojiko didn’t know abt the deal and also hated nami. i rlly like how in the manga nami still has one person she can trust and rely on even if nojiko can’t really help out, and she won’t let her try to help. and nojiko watching her sister work herself into the ground and not being able to do anything except have a home for her to come back too. and i believe she also knew about genzo and the villagers plans too, so seeing nami hurt by the villagers hatred and knowing it’s false but not being able to tell her

and genzo too! he was the one who realized that nami working with arlong was suspicious, made nojiko tell him about the deal, and came up with the whole plan. because before arlong came he knew nojiko and nami best he was basically their dad. he was watching over her when she was with arlong and he saw her being hurt but he couldn’t do anything!! auuughh!!! he wore that stupid pinwheel on his hat for her!! bc it made her laugh!!

in conclusion i liked the live action but im sad that they took away a lot of the depth of some of the side characters and boiled it down to just “oh yeah they all hate her for real”

i generally hate dragon/dragon shifter/etc x human aus where there's some sort of like "dragon hoard" or like the dragon character is super possessive of the other person in the relationship and all consent and like basic autonomy is weird and shit (fairy tail fandom, i'm looking at YOU GUYS, i have NOT forgotten the nalu fanfics that traumatized me when i was 13)

but the one ship i really like it for is kiribaku

like fantasy au dragon shifter kirishima x traveler/barbarian/prince/whatever bakugou

And it's because literally neither of their personalities allow for any sort of weird consent or lack of autonomy bullshit, their personalities fit the au so well and it's fucking perfect

Like can you really tell me that Kirishima "ray of sunshine, 'i think bakugou is so manly because he just effortlessly does whatever', cries when his friends cry, proud of bakugou's character development" Eijirou could really genuinely look ANYONE in the eye and be like "you have to do what i say bc im a dragon and ur my mate" or whatever bullshit you find in those weird fics

And can you really fucking see Bakugou "told the actual League of Villains to get on their knees and beg him to join them, will only do something if you ask him to do the opposite or challenge him to it, has to be kept in check or he might commit murder who knows" Katsuki even ALLOWING Kirishima to say something like that to, not just him, but ANYONE?

Hell fucking no

Bakugou would like murder him and he knows that, I think it's pretty safe to believe that everything between dragon kirishima and human bakugou is safe, sane, and consensual (that's a joke, while i personally believe that they're older in the fantasy au bc yknow travelling the world on their own, they're still basically 16 or something in the canon so weird stuff is still kinda weird)

So the concept of like

after a long period of travelling together, Kirishima is like "hey man, do you like wanna be bonded together? it's like a dragon thing and it's this whole ordeal and we'll literally be bound by our souls and it's a huge commitment so i get if you don't wanna that's fine, but i just think it would be really cool"

And then Bakugou is like "yeah sure, I literally hate everyone on this fucking planet except you, i'll get magically married to you"

LIKE YES THAT'S THE SHIT I WANT

AND IT'S THE SHIT I GET WITH THIS SHIP

like, oh my god, bakugou being like "yeah i guess you can tag along" but internally he's like holy shit i'm travelling with a fucking dragon and kirishima sees right through it but lets him have his moment

and them like FIGHTING TOGETHER??? and then one of them gets hurt and it's like "no i promise im okay" and it's like "dude you are literally dying please let me softly wrap this bandage around your hand"

that's all, i would just like to wish a very i love you you are wonderful to all the fanfic writers who have been able to give me this very concept

I havent quite read through the latest chapter yet, but I remembered a question Id forgotten to send. Some time ago you answered a different ask I believe wanting to know what would happen if Leo were to ask Draxum to join them. I think you said Draxum would have refused him, but obviously he didnt do that with Raph and so Im wondering, what was different? Would he have still refused Leo had he beaten Raph to the punch or would Draxum have accepted Leo in this time since they had the collars at the ready?

Thank you! In general readership went way down when I moved from Book 1 to 2, but it worked itself back up. Not to the point doth was at in the last few chapters, but better. It's plummeted again, but I'm hoping it'll pick back up like it did for Book 2. (otherwise, I'm not really sure what's happening, other than people getting fatigued? Did a bunch of people stop reading because of Raph doing his stupid thing?)

Clarification: Draxum would have initially refused him. Leo would have had to sell himself, and really make a good case for it because Draxum would have been very resistant to the idea. But that's the sort of thing Leo really excels at. So I don't think it's out of the question that he'd succeed. He'd just really have to nail it in one go.

I mean, a couple reasons. A major one being that Draxum really doesn't like Leo. Leo is overwhelmingly the one poking the sword in Draxum's side, he's loud and disobedient and Draxum thinks he doesn't take anything seriously. He's come to realize what a mastermind strategist Leo is, but honestly that just makes him hate him more because Leo is usually strategizing against him. He hates how fanatically devoted he is to bringing his twin back, he hates that he can't just kill Leo or beat him to a pulp. And he hates that on some level, he still thinks to himself "in another life he'd be my son."

But the main factor in all this is the way Draxum views Raph. Draxum glorifying Raph's size and strength is a huge theme here and it goes back to the table chapters. Raph was the only other turtle he seriously considered taking besides Donnie, and even though he ultimately decided against it due to the difficulties of holding him, it always bothered him that he still technically didn't get everything he wanted. Logically, he knows that Raph's fighting prowess could be replicated-Tigerclaw isn't one of his mutants, but he's proof that Draxum could easily obtain other powerful mutants that came willingly to his cause and were far more loyal.

The problem being that Draxum, as much as he pretends he's not, is very sentimental. He planned to raise the turtles themselves, both as warriors and people, and especially now with how close he's grown to Galois he thinks more and more about what life could have been had Lou Jitsu not kidnapped them. It wasn't just having a super elite warrior at his beck and call, it was the thought of having this massive, extremely powerful mutant warrior and being able to call him his. He considers both Donatello and Raphael to have been his masterwork-and he can't even take full credit for Donnie because it wasn't his intention to make him a genius. It drove him crazy not to have his masterpiece by his side, and even if he can't admit to creating Raph now he still knows Raphael was his work. He feels very smug about that.

Another thing is going back to the risk vs rewards thing. The reason Draxum didn't kidnap Raph along with Donnie was because he'd be physically impossible to control, but with Raph submitting willingly (and having a shock collar that could paralyze him on command) that was much less of a concern. But Raph, as strong and powerful as he is, is also...not very bright. Like, he absolutely has good problem-solving skills, and while he's not on Leo or Mikey's level he is emotionally intelligent. But there's no way he could outsmart Draxum, and he's also aware of his own limits enough to know not to try. A shock collar and the threat of instant death is enough to subdue him.

It would not be enough for Leo. Even if Draxum didn't think Leo could outsmart him outright, he'd still try. His attempts could be destructive, and he'd likely be forced to hurt or even kill Leo in retaliation. Which he wouldn't consider a breach of his promise to Donatello, since Leo would have initiated the entire thing and agreed upon those conditions, but agreeing to Leo's proposal knowing it would most likely end with Draxum killing him wasn't really in the spirit of the promise. And again, part of him still doesn't want to kill Leo. Part of him still understands that he's his son's brother, and they both love the same person even if they're calling him by different names.

Also Raph's proposal addressed a major insecurity of Draxum's, that being the subject of Galois's safety. He's freaked out. He knows he has to let Gale out of the house at some point, but he's terrified of what might happen when he does. 'Giant murder turtle bodyguard' might not solve the problem, but it makes it a whole lot better, and it's done in a way that doesn't make Draxum look like a crazy overprotective father. He might worry about Raph messing with Gale's head, but he knows Raph is still extremely protective of him and would die before he let Gale get hurt. Leo-what could Leo do for him? He wasn't big and intimidating, had already proven that he couldn't protect Galois properly-he's still injured from that event, at this point Draxum would have every reason to believe Leo's lack of mobility is permanent. It just wouldn't be worth the risk.

In short: Draxum knew he really shouldn't take any turtle up on that offer. It was a stupid decision, and it went against what he promised Donatello. But Raph did the equivalent of dangling a piece of meat in front of him and Draxum was practically salivating the second Raph knelt before him.

So I (13F) have been in LOVE with this boy (13M) since elementary school if you can believe it. And don't you dare tell me I'm NOT in love with him because I swear I AM! He's handsome and sharp and athletic and he's got this kind of dreamy brooding charm with a heart of gold and I could talk about him all day but that's not what this post is about!!! He's never wanted anything to do with me and I don't know why but sure, hard to get, I can live with it

Last fall this kind of...clique I guess??? popped up at my school and he's in the middle of it (the others are I thiiiiiink 12M 13M 14F? idk) and they are INSEPARABLE I mean like you WILL NOT see one of them without any of the others and usually all four of them, they're ALWAYS hanging out together and CONSPIRING, the whole school agrees it's weird but no one knows what they're actually DOING (crime maybe???)

And this clique for whatever reason. HATES me. I'm talking NON STOP INSULTS AND DIRTY LOOKS whenever I so much as go NEAR them. I don't even know WHAT I did to these people, I've never even TALKED to any of the others before they formed their little club, but it's almost like I dunno I OFFENDED them in some way??? AND TO MAKE THINGS WORSE MY CRUSH IS MASSIVELY CRUSHING ON 14F AND IDEK WHAT SHE HAS OVER ME!!?!?

The thing is I said they do crime and stuff but I'm not actually sure of that. And when they're not being suspicious they actually...seem like they're having a lot of fun together. It's not like I don't have any friends (I'm really pretty and popular) but these guys just seem close in a different way that's just totally natural and it doesn't require any effort at all from them and my crush looks so happy hanging around them like I've never seen him before. They all just kinda seem like they belong together and...I guess I'm a little jealous.

And okay maybe I haven't been a saint to them because it's the only way to even get them to notice me at all, but I really don't know what I did to make them all hate me before they even talked to me. my style is honestly veryyy comfy casual, i really just wear whatever’s convenient but i LOVE to accessorize and i’m a sucker for trends. i love jewelry, and i usually go for more dainty necklaces with fun earrings and i absolutely love my nose piercing. i pretty much always wear light makeup, really just mascara and some concealer, but at the end of the day i really don’t care much about how people think i look. i’m 5’5” so average height, and i’m blonde with blue eyes!

Gundham Tanaka

-Denial, denial, denial. He refuses to even entertain the idea until it’s right in front of him, and even then...

-His dearest Y/N? No, no! Never! How dare anyone even consider the possibility!

-...Until you’re outed, or you confess. Then he shuts up in pure shock. He sputters out a few weak denials, but spends the rest of the time silent, staring through you

-All of this time... you were working with Monokuma? Helping to kill your dear friends? He thought he knew you. He trusted you. He loved you.

-If it turns out it was because of blackmail, he comes back to his senses slightly, and tries to cover it with his usual bravado while defending you again.

-Still, the fact that you helped kill some of his friends, and were going to keep doing it? How long until you killed him?

-He breaks up with you after the trial. He can’t stop looking at you and thinking about how you might’ve killed him next. He has nightmares the rest of the game and is inconsolable, and he feels intensely guilty about it.

-Maybe if he had seen it sooner, he could’ve stopped this from happening.

Kazuichi Souda

-By far one of the most emotional. He denies it like his own life depends on it

-Even when you confess or get outed, he’ll still deny it vehemently. He even starts tearing up in the midst of the debates

-He breaks down when you finally confess, stuttering out broken pleas of your name and asking why

-If it was blackmail, he immediately goes back to defending you, stuttering out “S-see?! Th-they wo-wouldn’t- I-I knew-!”

-Insults anyone who goes after you, even jumping in front of you to argue with them

-It doesn’t really set in until after the trial. He freaks out hard, wondering just how many deaths you had helped planning, how many you planned to do in the future...

-Were you planning on his death, too?

-Once he gets that into his head, he can’t stand to be in the same space as you for a while. He has nightmares about you now, and he feels awful about how anxious he is around you

-Your relationship ends without any words, and he’ll never look at you the same again, no matter how hard you try

Nagito Komaeda

-Nagito is a very, very smart man, and perceptive. He probably suspects you within the first few days, and it hurts. Whether he finds it hurts because you didn’t tell him or because he doesn’t like how you’re helping... well, he doesn’t really know

-He figures it’s some sort of blackmail, but he can’t be quite sure. He’ll poke around really subtly and figure it out for himself before anyone else

-Either way he’s on your side until the end. Nagito is very dedicated to you and simultaneously very unstable and dedicated to hope during this killing game. It’s difficult to tell which he cares about more sometimes.

-Even still, he won’t sell you out until it’s absolutely necessary. You’re still his lover. He cares about you, traitor or not, potential for a hope step ladder or not.

-He’ll help you out with your jobs, even if you don’t ask or tell him to. You’ll find him “accidentally” helping in the beginning when you don’t know he knows

-He helps you stay alive when others figure out you’re the traitor. He’ll lie for you, he’ll kill for you, manipulate... all to keep you safe or to keep the battle for hope going? It’s hard to tell when he gets that look in his eyes...

-All he wants is for hope to prevail. A traitor is the perfect way to test the hope of your friends, right?

Nekomaru Nidai

-Probably the calmest out of everyone. He takes a moment to be shocked and yell before taking a moment to calm himself down

-He wants to jump to conclusions and be angry, but he reigns it in. He doesn’t know the full story. He’ll save his anger for later. He’s very good at regulating his emotions when needed

-Scarily calm when questioning you, but his eyes are more intense than you’ve ever seen them

-He’ll snap if others get too into accusing you and insulting you, but he tries to keep it under wraps. He can’t blame them, though

-If he finds out it was blackmail, relief floods his body, and you can visibly see him relax a bit. He focuses on that.

-Even though he’s defending you to other people, he can’t help but think of his dear friends that he lost... just how involved were you?

-He ends up breaking the wooden stand in front of him thinking about them. Your relationship is put on hold after this revelation. He can’t stop how angry he feels when he sees you, even if he can try to calm himself, he ends up snapping at you

Teruteru Hanamura

-He honestly suspects you a smidge before it comes out, but he denies it to hell so much that he convinces himself it isn’t true

-He can’t help but doubt himself late at night, though...

-“Wh-wha? No, no, no! Y-you’re lying! They wouldn’t ever do somethin’ like that!”

-He becomes nigh unintelligible when you’re accused, hurling insults at everyone non stop until someone (you) shuts him up

-He’ll immediately start sobbing if you confess. He trusted you so much, you were his sweetheart! His everything, the one person he could go to... and you... helped this? This whole thing?

-If it turns out it was blackmail, he’ll thrust right back into defending you, even if you’ve officially broken his trust

-He’ll distance himself from you heavily after it comes out, even if you show that it wasn’t your choice, but deny it if you confront him

-Every time he sees you, his dead friends flash through his head. Were you in on those deaths, too? Was he next before everyone found out?

Byakuya Twogami

-Another one who knows before it’s revealed. If anyone knows how to pin a lie, it’s him

-He’ll confront you about it as soon as he’s sure, and he’ll make sure to keep it empathetic and understanding. There’s no way you did this out of your own volition, right?

-If you come clean and admit it, he’ll protect you the best he can. As long as the reason is because of blackmail, at least

-Honestly even if it isn’t he’ll have a hard time letting you go

-He’ll lie and manipulate others to keep you safe for as along as possible. He doesn’t like manipulating his friends, but he will for you

-He’ll defend you the second that it comes out in public for everyone else

-Stays by your side almost all the time after everyone knows to keep you safe

-He feels hurt that you didn’t tell him at first, but he understands why. He’ll be a bit more reserved for a while though, and he grapples with how he feels about you a lot

-On one hand you’re hurting everyone else, but did you really have a choice...? He really hopes you didn’t.

i saw ur post abt black star right after reading it and I'd love for u to elaborate lol my biggest problem w it was Akira disliking/not forgiving akechi... like i know it was written before royal and im not even THAT big of a shuake shipper but reading akira as anything other than in love with akechi is just. Wrong. my only other problem w it was how it treated prison like the only other option for akechi besides death, and anyway akechi would have chosen death regardless. It's crazy how both of those huge flaws were disproven in royal and how they're most likely the cause for fan misinterpretation today. still a good plot and i liked the other characterizations but like. the conclusion of akechi going to jail and akira supporting that above all is just so wrong

Oh yeah Akira's feelings toward Akechi were a huge reason why I had to dnf, easily one of the worst aspects by far. And it sucks because otherwise Akira's characterization was SO good. OP understood him but they did not understand Akechi and that extended to Akira, sadly.

And yeah, the jail thing is both baffling and Bad. Akechi does not need to go to jail. Can we please stop believing in punitive justice even when it makes no sense. Akechi doesn't even get what he deserves anyway because he doesn't go on trial for most of his crimes (like, you know, the murder) and then he gets off easy getting to join the shadow ops months into his sentence. After all that set up about him needing to get what he deserves/justice being served only for that to Very Much Not Happen. Because if Akechi DID get what he "deserved" under our justice system he'd get life in prison at best. It's hypocritical.

Possibly my biggest gripe other than the stupid insistence that Akechi go to jail is Akechi's characterization, though. It's alllll wrong. And like, to be fair, it was kind of impossible to know that it was wrong at the time because Royal hadn't come out yet. In black star Akechi is portrayed as absolutely, 100% unremorseful and gets angry at the idea of having to pay for his crimes. Which just. isn't. in character for him.

I kind of went into this with my recent post about Akechi and regrets, but there's another aspect this take on Akechi is completely missing. And that's Akechi and debts. He absolutely recognizes that what he did is wrong. He did it despite knowing it was wrong. But his reaction isn't going to be "how dare you suggest I turn myself in." It's going to be "I should be in jail already and I will do my best to repay my debts as far as I am able." Not in a guilty sort of way (at least outwardly), but a pragmatic one. There's a reason Akechi turns himself in for you, and it's not just about making Shido pay. It's about making things right, both to Joker and the world in general.

Akechi thinks of justice in extremely punitive terms. If you do wrong, you deserve to have wrongs done to you in turn. This applies to both others and himself. It's what leads him to his actions, and why he willingly sacrificed himself and then later turns himself in. It's why he hates the idea of being granted mercy in Maruki's reality. In his eyes, he doesn't deserve anything more than death and/or prison. He hurt people, and so now it's time for him to reap the consequences.

The author of black star has it completely backwards. Akechi's arc shouldn't be learning that he needs to face consequences. He wants to face consequences. He wants to die/go to jail because he thinks he's worthless and doesn't deserve anything better. That's his starting point of any post-canon arc. Giving him jail time is giving him exactly what he wants.

Personally, I think punitive justice as a concept is complete bullshit. I'm not gonna get into the nitty gritty of that here. But my point stands regardless--and whether you believe in punitive justice or not, objectively the more interesting direction to take an Akechi redemption is to force him to live life to the fullest. That is unironically the worst punishment you could give him. Force him to face the consequences of living when he thinks he should be dead, of going through the painful and difficult process of recovery, and being forced to interact with and reconcile with the people he hurt after acknowledging that hurt not pragmatically, but personally.

I don't want to read a story about Akechi learning to accept that he has to go to jail. it's stupid, out of character, and counter to my core values as a person. That's why I stopped reading black star. I want to see Akechi learning to live. To me, that is a far more in-character and interesting concept to explore.

Not to be dramatic too but i think day is going to be fully blind after the songkhla ep or maybe still at songkhla and it’s probably why the hospital scene happened and also there is a scene where you can see day’s mom and night at the rooftop. It’s going to be so sad, I’m so sure ㅠㅠ

SPECULATIONS AND PERSONAL FEARS ABOUT THE LAST FOUR EPISODES OF LAST TWILIGHT UNDER THE CUT

sorry anon im gonna take this chance to vent a little about my worries ;;;;; there are no spoilers about the ending of the novel but there are SPOILERS about future content since im gonna reference some moments we’ve seen during filming and that have not happened yet. PLEASE DON’T READ THIS IF YOU DON’T WANNA WORRY ABOUT THE ENDING OF THE SHOW. i swear im gonna be back on being positive and manifesting the best possible ending after this, but i’ve been very anxious and i need to talk about it, so yeah, i really apologize for this

the thing is. im like 99.9999999% sure that the last scene of episode 9 is gonna be day going fully blind. jimmysea have talked multiple times about this episode being their favorite and the fact that the scene on the cover of the novel is extremely important, so im pretty sure mork is gonna take day on the top of the mountain and while they’re looking at the sun going down mork is gonna ask ‘have you done everything you want?’ to which day is gonna answer, like in the mock trailer, ‘one last picture left’. he’s gonna look at mork, kiss him, and then, when day opens his eyes again, he will no longer be able to see anything

and i am completely fine with this. is it gonna be sad? yes, because it’s still a huge loss, but we’ve seen day coming to terms with it and learning that he can still live a very fulfilling life, so we know he’s gonna be alright, especially with mork by his side. it’s the afterwards that im TERRIFIED about. and again, im sure mork and day are gonna have a happy ending, all those theories about mork or night dying and donating their corneas to day are (respectfully) completely unrealistic, they're never gonna happen, but it's the way that we're gonna get to that happy ending that scares me

like two things i think will have to happen in the last three episodes:

a reconciliation between day and night;

mork is gonna have to stop being day’s caretaker.

what we know is gonna happen thanks to the bts during the filming process is also that:

at some point there’s gonna be a hospital scene (it could also be a flashback, but im not sold on this theory);

there’s gonna be a time skip of 4 years and morkday are gonna be attending another wedding (most likely night and phorjai’s).

my main fear is not only that they’re gonna let day regain his sight, but also that they’re gonna separate mork and day for those 4 years just for the sake of drama. and i don’t like separations. i don’t like the episode 11 curse, i don’t like cheap manufactured angst, i don’t even like the ‘these characters have to be separated to find themselves before they can be together’ trope. the only show that did separation right was vice versa and i will die on this hill. when it comes to last twilight, i don’t really believe the theory of day’s mom firing mork and being the one to separate them, because i think that deep down all she wants is to see her child happy and if mork makes him happy then she’s gonna accept him. my nightmare scenario is that someone is gonna offer mork a job, mork is gonna refuse the offer so he can stay with day, day is gonna find out and think that 1) he’s holding mork back, and 2) mork thinks day can’t take care of himself just like everybody else, so he’s gonna break up with mork. timeskip. they reunite at night and phorjai’s wedding and they get back together

and i, unfortunately, would HATE this

and i swear im trying so hard to trust p’aof but i’ve already partaken in unprecedented unparalleled unmatched levels of winnery with vice versa and my brain is refusing to believe it could happen a second time so it’s preparing for the worse

so yeah not to be overdramatic but im on the verge ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

appearance: im 5’7”. im a light blonde, occasionally I’ll whack some brown or hot pink through the underneath when I’m bored of the plain one colour. im v into fashion and what not but my style varies day to day. i like to experiment with it. that being said, im usually here for anything that fits in the boxes of emo or hyper feminine though, as much as they contrast one another. 🤧 i wear a lot of makeup, and i do that purely for myself lol. I hate when people say they can’t even tell I’m wearing it considering it takes me sooo long haha. i have glasses but most of the time when i go out i wear contacts.

personality: to sum it up nicely, i never ever shut up. im very loud and extroverted. (the only exception to this is if I’m tired, then i go dead quiet.) humour is a big thing for me to be able to get on with someone. i have a very very strong moral code. i have a tendency to jump straight to people’s rescue if i see something wrong and I’m told that sometimes that gets me into more trouble than it’s worth. i try to be optimistic but i can be a massively emotional drama queen so it occasionally does fail tbh. i don’t exactly like bothering people with my problems either. im a creative person first and foremost. however, i have some “theoretical” intelligence yet completely, totally lack common sense. if you believe anything to do with star signs you will not be surprised to know im a sagittarius ‘:D

i don’t think i have a specific type. im not physically affectionate with friends but definitely would be with a partner. i like someone who knows how to flirt a little, maybe? and just like someone caring because kindness is such a huge thing for me.

i draw a ton, i make ocs and stories, i��ll throw myself headfirst into any artistic hobbies at least once to try it really. also, massively into music. listening to it anyway, i can’t play any instruments or anything. i love rock / pop punk bands, i love pop & kpop, i just… love music. a lot. i do everything with my headphones.

Okay so me and @summersnowdarling had a huge discussion on discord on fyodors supposed immortality and his ability, which now im sure is called crime and punishment.

Okay first off, we don't think that the flashback with bram is that far back. Probably 17 or 1800s around the time irl fyodor dostoevsky was born, bc 1400s sounds a little too far back lol.

So, there are 2 angles to this,

ONE: fyodor was immortalised by the church either by killing him or worshipping him because of his original ability, the crime.

The main point in both of these is that fyodors actual ability is something destructive, like how he killed ace's bodyguard-i-dont-remember-the -name-of, and that ability he thinks is a crime.

The first point where the church immortalised him is because they believe him to be a reincarnation of jesus, able to take people's life away at will and formed a cult or alike. So when they thought that immortality is a gift, fyodor, who probably hated his ability, thought it was punishment.

Second one is where fyodors ability made the church hate him, hence kill him, but someone brought him back, like noragami Father style. Crime is his ability and punishment is his immortality.

This doesnt have more evidence basis, both of these dont all that much, but it would be interesting to see since fyodor is big on religion and religious symbolism.

TWO: this is my theory, which again, crime is his ability, but his ability is CRIME. whenever he kills someone, their remaining lifespan transfers to fyodor, giving him a longer lifespan, immortality as punishment. This is mostly based off of fyodors monologue in dead apple, where he says "crime and punishment are inseparable, I am crime and I am punishment." (I dont remember the exact words dead apple was one HELL of a confusing novel)

Now for some more on both:

We know fyodor wants to rid the world of abilities. According the first theory, it is highly likely due to religious trauma from either being worshipped as a god and immortalised or killed because of his ability, making him believe all those who have abilities are sinners against God. Maybe he was the only ability user in his hometown, and on top of that he had such a destructive ability.

For the second theory, he just wants to die. We know he's been alive for so long, and probably killed many people, ridding this world of abilities is the way he can die, and probably make sure something like this can never happen again, idk. It probably doesnt make sense story wise, but it fits with whatever has happened in the plot now. Maybe you can also interlinked the two theories together.

The space cowboy au sounds so fun!! Do you maybe have more info about keiths kid? Also im courious, does the Kuron in this au have a diffrent personality than the post s8 guy? Since their backstories and background are so diffrent

Honestly not much, Kid is still in workshop (at the point where i am still calling her 'Kid' instead of finding or even creating an actual name for her). But i still have something-

Kid to me is the kind of personification of the consequences of Keith's avoidant ass just straight up repeatedly abandoning everyone. The way i see it is, even after Zarkon died and Shiro was still there, Keith still went on missions with Blade which meant voltron were still down a paladin and a lion for a number of voltron missions and eventually caused the team to fracture to the point that Lance got so frustrated with others he left for home, and eventually got himself stuck in the cowboy sector. (This is like 5 years after Kid is born but no one knows the existence of Kid)

While he was on missions Keith got close to this one alien (Kid's other parent) until they you know slept together. However after few attacks Keith got paranoid that he's endangering his partner and left without even a goodbye or a letter or knowing he got his partner impregnated. Said partner tried to get into contact with Keith to atleast tell him that hey! You are a father! But eventually gave up on him cause they cant be hung up on him anymore and have a huge responsibility especially considering a war is tearing un the entire fucking universe.

So Kid grew up knowing who her father is and what he is and just absolutely fucking hating him. She saw her parent struggle to try to make ends meet and support both of them while her 'father' is treated as a hero despite him abandoning him and she hates the legacy he left behind. Not to mention galran gene pretty much skipped a generation, so Kid despite only being a quarter Galran looks much more of a human-galran-other alien amalgamation than Keith who looks fully human. This in itself is kind of a problem in the universe where Galran hate half-galrans for being impure and non-Galrans hate half-Galrans for being Galran. So not fun. Especially when you are a dirt poor pair of refugees.

Eventually (and idk maybe something happens to the the Other Parent) she decides that actually? She's going to fight her useless father and either make him pay child support or just straight up kill him. She fully believes that whatever is wrong with her can be fixed if she gets to punch Keith, maybe even kick, maim, and bite him. So she decides to embark on her mission in the name of all the children with deadbeat parents to stab her father with his own knife. She ends up taking the wrong turn and ends up in the cowboy sector (if the other parent is still than it is more like they were on a trip, got themselves stuck and even if fighting Keith isnt a mission, it is something that she is still planning to do when she's older). Here she runs into Lance and is like, "Ok here's my ticket to meet the sperm donor!" And Lance is like "Kid i havent seen Keith in years. Also this sector is pretty much an abandoned death trap. There's no way we'll even be able to get out ever!" But Kid is like "Nuh-uh!" And follows Lance around and also plans to get out of here and gets into every fight possible. And Lance who didnt even believe Kid was Keith's kid (despite her looking like him, including that scowl) and just dealing with years loneliness, depression, and hopelessness is like "Well i cant just leave the kid on her own to deal with all the bullshit." And ends up becoming her father figure.

Regarding Kuron, oh absolutely! A lot of Kuron's anger and personality in post s8 au is because of his trauma, and since this Kuron doesnt go through all of That™, he is mostly a chill dude. I am still debating on whether he knows he is a clone, or gets to know this after he meets Lance (i am leaning towards already knows) but yeah dude is mostly chill and lowkey confused with the entire sector. He was running away from Haggar and an existential crisis and an identity crisis and some other regular bullshit of the yeehaw sector. He feels directionless and aimless given he's not only a science experiment meant to be evil, he's an abandoned science experiment meant to be evil. He doesnt want to be evil, his goal in life is to survive to see the next day, and the next day, and the next, and yeahhhhh he's definitely a bit depressed. But it is Fine! He's Fine! Totally Fine!!! (Lies) Lance was a familiar face and Kid is familiar and funny so he decide to stuck around see where it goes, not expecting to be integrated in highly co-dependent found family and sooner or later having to face all his issues head on. He doesnt hate Shiro but he is also weird about him? Like he doesnt know how he would approach him or if he even would ever get a chance to approach him. So Shiro is pretty much in the backburner along with all his other issues. But yeah i'll say he's very different from ps8!Kuron.

#I am not happy with Kid's or Kuron's story i am probably going to change it a lot in the future #But for now #Yeah #Kuron wanted to go by 'Nobody' as a cool cowboy name but some Wanted Sharpshooter Outlaw already had dibs #(Spoiler: it was Lance)#I also think this is the au where broganes have much higher chance of happening since all the bs that happened in ps8 n canon #Didnt happen here. ok im rambling about my thoughts on tadc bc i have many (long post)

ok first of all general character opinions with walk cycle gifs to break up the walls of text (gifs from here):

caine: the silly guy... literally why red recommended this to me was the digital world setting + an ai character and they know me too well because every ai character is my favorite by default. i'm very excited to see what we end up learning about him throughout the series, also i absolutely love that he was inspired by AM from ihnmaims but 'if he was a silly little guy instead of fueled by hate' or whatever the creator said about him. his weird head design is really creative though it does discomfort me a bit sometimes, something about the combination of eyes and teeth;;; still think he's kinda tumblr sexyman coded besides the teeth head but most people are too distracted with objectifying jax so he gets a pass

pomni: she's cool!! it's hard to form a solid view of her so far bc most of what we've seen is her being understandably overwhelmed with and O.O at everything, but she seems like she'll be a pretty interesting protag - i liked them showing her moments of weakness with leaving ragatha behind too. that being said i think she stretched out the 'omg this isn't real what's going on???' freaking out bits way too long but that's just a personal gripe with that sorta stuff in media like this. if i was isekai'd into the digital circus i would simply be so chill about it after only 5 minutes of panic. rip to pomni but i'm different /j oh yeah also a fun character design even though i don't really like clowns she's just very Shaped

jax: motherfucker. jk i actually don't feel that strongly about him i just find him slightly annoying at times. at first i thought 'oh ok he's a loveable asshole yeah he's kinda entertaining so he's cool' and then he just ended up being more asshole than loveable. also thought he was sexyman coded and was unfortunately right this time ^^; apparently he's the creator's fave too?? so hopefully he doesn't get away with too much stuff without consequences, or he's gotta actually get some positive traits yknow. however i do love his design with the big grin and semicircle eyes and etc, very cartoony and fun. if the controversial blorbo poll was still open i would submit him bc it seems like the fandom is split on him. but also kinda tired of him from fandom overexposure

ragatha: she's really nice and i want to be her friend - looking forward to seeing where her character goes in the future though, bc we've only seen her being polite and forgiving and sweet and etc, and i think she should be allowed to kill people /hj. it was cool seeing her get glitched too even if ;-;. i was never into raggady ann stuff like i've heard the creator is but her design is still cute too, even if less surreal than some of the others ^^

bubble: keep forgetting this guy exists, not a huge fan tbh? gets some points for being another ai though. looks like a chain chomp. i do like that they're able to be popped and respawn though, that's a fun quirk. the scene with them cleaning up after pomni is p gross

kinger: i barely thought about this guy during the pilot tbh so was surprised to see the fandom all adoring him. kinda just reminds me of fear from inside out. but actually overexposure of him from tumblr and other people enjoying him kinda made him grow on me a bit (reverse of what has been happening w jax). he's pretty cool to me now. i can't believe fandom already gave him a tragic backstory with that queen chesspiece we see crossed out...

zooble: another character i didn't really think about, though i like their design and detachable body parts and such. i also couldn't really get a good sense of their personality tbh? i think they just need more screentime honestly

gangle: i wanted to like her a lot more than i did when i first saw her bc her design is very fun, with the ribbon-based body and comedy/tragedy masks and etc. but ended up not getting too interested in her as a character. but i think she's in the same category as zooble where she needs more screen time and character development though? bc she still seems like she could be cool if her personality gets explored more

thoughts on the overall pilot:

ngl i have a whole bunch of gripes about it despite also rotating it in my mind. i feel like a lot of the characters are a little 1-dimensional currently, even if i do find those dimensions appealing for the most part, hoping they get more characterization in the actual main season though. also most of the pacing/jokes didn't really land for me or felt a bit forced, though there were some good bits like king's hands following zooble's head, pomni opening doors to surreal scenes like the bathing mannequin, jax getting choked by zooble's hand, the randomly generated 5-letter names, also any of the cartoony imagery gags like the censor bars or cartoon dust cloud of gloinks.

however, overall i enjoyed it still!!! all of the animation has so much charm and character to it, surreal semi-human character designs are always great, it's very colorful and bright and reminiscent of old early 2000s activity center games, etc. it gives me kinda 'welcome home' vibes, with both being bright and cheery exteriors meant to mimic old media style that mask darker stuff under the surface. also the general plot of like. people being trapped in this weird setting and forced to participate in fucked up (?) games by some mysterious mastermind (well we know who the mastermind is but not much about him) while struggling to escape or understand why they've been trapped here... very common plot but always is intriguing to me. also of course [holds digital worlds and ais in my hands] my beloved tropes...

thoughts on the fandom:

i am. concerned. that there seems to be an overlap with the h*zb*n h*t*l fandom;; but also i don't know anything about that show's status besides like. callout posts about the creator and people complaining about the pacing/character designs and etc. so i don't really know if all of the hh fans is bc it's like, also an animated series that appeals to the same audience? or if it's going to be too similar or inspired from it or also have a problematic creator somehow 😔

otherwise it's whatever, maybe a bit on the :I side bc i already saw someone make a y*nd*r* jax imagine post and it scared me hjkdfs. otherwise mostly just usual fandom stuff i think? dunno.

actually nevermind i just got back from twitter and apparently the creator is already feeling :/ about their own fandom and apparently people on tiktok are hcing some fucked up stuff about jax so. can fans be normal for 2 seconds please.
