I’m sure I’m not the only person who has thought of this, but here’s the single-most successful component of my money bowl spells: donating the money I feed it to people who are unhoused.
About once a month, I gather up all the change in my money bowl and put it into a little cloth baggy. I usually have at least $5. Sometimes it’s a lot more. Then I give that money to the first person I see asking for change at an intersection or in a shopping plaza.
I feel like the pay-it-forward aspect of the money bowl in that way is more ethical and does more good.
I grew up very low income and have struggled financially most my life. But the universe has always granted me small extra funds when I need it the most, and I’ve seen amazing results from my money bowl spells.
This way though, I’m not just helping myself, I’m helping others. And of course there are plenty of other things I do to help people that I don’t go into detail on via social media because I think it sort of defeats the purpose to brag about it.
I did my first real money bowl yesterday(on the first) and im anxious to see how it turns out.
I did a small one a little while ago with a green candle and some coins but it was kinda a monkey paw situation where I did get more money but that was only cuz i worked 3 weekends in a row and it was completely exhausting.
Rice in witchcraft is known for it's properties of Prosperity, Wealth, Protection, and Fertility. You can add rice to your spell jars, placing it around your house, or to carrying it with you.
Other uses for Rice:
Burying stones and other items to cleanse and charge them
To represent the Air Element
Using rice in your food to bring your intentions to those who eat it.
Use as a base for money bowls to attract wealth in your life
Keeping rice near your door to ward off negative energy
Using rice as offerings to deities, especially ones associated with agriculture.
Coins, cash, etc. (This can even be paper with dollar signs/money signs written in green or gold.)
Cinnamon sticks - for money
A green candle - for money, prosperity, abundance, wealth
Bay leaves
Basil (or other money related herbs and spices)
Pyrite - to attract money and prosperity
Clear Quartz - to amplify the spellwork

Fill your bowl with rice up to a height you're comfortable with.
On a separate plate or napkin, layout the basil. (You can add any other spices or herbs that will help with your money bowl.) Dress the candle with your money oil. (This can be purchased pre-made from your local magick shop or you can make your own. If you don't have any, you can use whatever oil you have on hand.) Roll the candle in the herbs and make sure it's coated well.
Place the candle at the center of the bowl and start placing your stuff inside! I used rolled up cash (whatever amount you'd like), cinnamon sticks, basil with my petitions written on them, etc. Feel free to add more money-drawing items or remove what you feel isn't serving you.
Decorate your box with crystals and other items. I used a pyrite elephant and pyrite cluster since pyrite is associated with money and wealth, but I also used a clear quartz to amplify the shellwork and boost the money-drawing power.
I placed my bowl on top of my clear box with tips from the place I bartend at, but you can put your bowl wherever makes sense to you. The key is to "work" the bowl and continue to add/remove items, light the candle, add drops of oil, replace an old candle with a new one, etc. Since I have my bowl sitting on top of my money box, inserting money into the box is like I'm "feeding" the box/bowl with that energy.
I think the most important part to remember is that this bowl is personal and entirely up to you. Everyone's bowl will look different and people will "work" their bowls differently, which I think is really cool. There is no right or wrong way to make a money bowl, but it is a lot of trial and error. I'd love to hear what other people would use in their money bowl, so feel free to comment below to let me know!

I have tried multiple different types of Money bowls and jars, from various different videos on Youtube or posts on insta or tumblr and a few of them have worked out for me, but not fully. I then had decided to try and make my own with the knowledge I got from those videos/posts I watched and it works well enough.
Get a jar/bow. I've used old small dishes that my family doesn't use anymore, and I am currently using an old instant coffee jar. It can be a plastic bowl or a jar as well, use what you have.
Cleanse it. You can use incense, moon water to spray the insides and wipe it with a clean cloth, any way you cleanse really. While you cleanse, visualize and charge it with your money intention. For me my intentions are so that I can treat myself to a restaurant or simple outings with friends. The money will vary with intention.
Add a simple base. I'm using rice, I saw a video where someone used Quinoa.
Then I put cinnamon, it can be powder or sticks, anything.
Then add some salt (table salt, pink himalayan salt, sea salt, any salt darling)
Then i put coffee. It can be those you put in a french press/machine, it can be instant coffee (even the ones with the milk solids or whatever it's called) or even coffee beans if you have them.
Then finally add some money. I add coins, since I'm from India, I put Ten and five rupee coins and probably 50 rupees in. And then I close it (because mine is a jar rn)
If yours is a bowl, I've had money come in when I light incense in it or if I put fresh incense ash in it. Also I used to put chips of Clear Quartz in it, but I lost quite a few so I don't anymore.
Keep the bowl/jar in your altar or a part where you can see it everyday. Light a candle beside it or place a crystal on top to charge the bowl/jar. Add some more coins or cleanse it every Thursday as (i think) it's the best day to manifest money.
I changed up my prosperity altar with a couple of new spells, plus a new money cat! The money cat was actually in a blind box, and I’m taking it to be a positive sign!
I’m also adding an emoji spell here because I’m graduating in May and really need to find a job 🤞🏼
Keep in mind this is not the only money spell i have done. There were a few before that, but this last one really spoke in volumes, each spell was taking more momentum and this one is the one that made everything fall down.
What you need :
-some sort of bowl or plate
-trinkets from your childhood you associate with riches
-some fake jewelry
-some little toys you associate with riches
-foreign currency
-things that remind you of gold, of stability, of richness, of treasures etc
-potentially a sigil or rune if you are into that
I personally used some gifted pieces of jewelry in fake gold and fake stones, a small toy chest filled with foreign currency coins and covered with yellow wax, some golden keychains etc.
Basically, what this spell focuses on, is habituating your mind to associate money with fun, happy, easy childlike things, it works best paired with some inner work about your relationship with money because it does just that. It keeps away old thinking patterns about money and opens a freeway for it to come to you.
Reminder that its not because it worked for me in that specific way that i can assure it will work for you. What it did was set up a lot of happy coincidences and circumstances together that were already on my radar anyways, it just not only assured thry happened but also made them happen at the same time. Im sure it can do wonders from people who expect an aid, a scholarship or a big gift, but I cannot garantee anything in anyway. The spell also took about a month to do anything visible.
