Money Bowl Tips ✨💸
I absolutely adore doing money bowls. They serve as an amazing way to build up abundant energy and help with layering your workings. They’re a fairly straightforward working that you tend to by continually feeding it energy or “working” the spell. Let’s jump into some tips.
1.) Have a schedule with it. I recommend feeding your bowl energy fairly often, ideally weekly on Thursdays, but at least once a month. Thursdays are connected to Jupiter which is the planet connected to wealth and abundance. 🪐
2.) Add a candle. A fairly low energy way to keep up with tending to your bowl is to spell a candle for it. After it’s prepped and ready, place it in the bowl. Lighting the candle will feed the bowl energy. 🕯️
3.) The base is just as important as the rest of the bowl. Commonly you use salt or rice for the base. I recommend going a little extra with it. Recently I’ve been into making spell crafted cinnamon salt and using that as my bowl base. Put energy and intention behind making your bowl’s base. It’s literally the foundation of this spell!
3.) *some* herbs you can use in money workings: Alfalfa, dill, basil, chamomile, bay leaves, catnip, oranges, cloves, lemongrass, jasmine, cinnamon, allspice, ginger, mints, star anise, cats claw, and oregano. There are a bunch of options. These ones just have direct correspondence to money drawing.
4.) Set goals for your bowl. Whenever you feed your bowl, focus on this goal you’re driving towards. With money magic you ideally want to be as specific as you can be. These can be long term or short term goals. I usually focus on long term and building stability and sustainable energy flowing to that goal.
I hope these tips bring some ideas for making your own money bowls. 🖤🌱

Money Bowl

How to Create a Money Bowl
You will need:
Bowl
Rice - for abundance
Money Oil
Coins, cash, etc. (This can even be paper with dollar signs/money signs written in green or gold.)
Cinnamon sticks - for money
A green candle - for money, prosperity, abundance, wealth
Bay leaves
Basil (or other money related herbs and spices)
Pyrite - to attract money and prosperity
Clear Quartz - to amplify the spellwork
-----
Fill your bowl with rice up to a height you're comfortable with.
On a separate plate or napkin, layout the basil. (You can add any other spices or herbs that will help with your money bowl.) Dress the candle with your money oil. (This can be purchased pre-made from your local magick shop or you can make your own. If you don't have any, you can use whatever oil you have on hand.) Roll the candle in the herbs and make sure it's coated well.
Place the candle at the center of the bowl and start placing your stuff inside! I used rolled up cash (whatever amount you'd like), cinnamon sticks, basil with my petitions written on them, etc. Feel free to add more money-drawing items or remove what you feel isn't serving you.
Decorate your box with crystals and other items. I used a pyrite elephant and pyrite cluster since pyrite is associated with money and wealth, but I also used a clear quartz to amplify the shellwork and boost the money-drawing power.
I placed my bowl on top of my clear box with tips from the place I bartend at, but you can put your bowl wherever makes sense to you. The key is to "work" the bowl and continue to add/remove items, light the candle, add drops of oil, replace an old candle with a new one, etc. Since I have my bowl sitting on top of my money box, inserting money into the box is like I'm "feeding" the box/bowl with that energy.
I think the most important part to remember is that this bowl is personal and entirely up to you. Everyone's bowl will look different and people will "work" their bowls differently, which I think is really cool. There is no right or wrong way to make a money bowl, but it is a lot of trial and error. I'd love to hear what other people would use in their money bowl, so feel free to comment below to let me know!
-----
The correspondences listed above and noted in the description can be found in Llewellyn's Complete Book of Correspondences.

Easy Money Bowl/Jar
I have tried multiple different types of Money bowls and jars, from various different videos on Youtube or posts on insta or tumblr and a few of them have worked out for me, but not fully. I then had decided to try and make my own with the knowledge I got from those videos/posts I watched and it works well enough.
Get a jar/bow. I've used old small dishes that my family doesn't use anymore, and I am currently using an old instant coffee jar. It can be a plastic bowl or a jar as well, use what you have.
Cleanse it. You can use incense, moon water to spray the insides and wipe it with a clean cloth, any way you cleanse really. While you cleanse, visualize and charge it with your money intention. For me my intentions are so that I can treat myself to a restaurant or simple outings with friends. The money will vary with intention.
Add a simple base. I'm using rice, I saw a video where someone used Quinoa.
Then I put cinnamon, it can be powder or sticks, anything.
Then add some salt (table salt, pink himalayan salt, sea salt, any salt darling)
Then i put coffee. It can be those you put in a french press/machine, it can be instant coffee (even the ones with the milk solids or whatever it's called) or even coffee beans if you have them.
Then finally add some money. I add coins, since I'm from India, I put Ten and five rupee coins and probably 50 rupees in. And then I close it (because mine is a jar rn)
If yours is a bowl, I've had money come in when I light incense in it or if I put fresh incense ash in it. Also I used to put chips of Clear Quartz in it, but I lost quite a few so I don't anymore.
Keep the bowl/jar in your altar or a part where you can see it everyday. Light a candle beside it or place a crystal on top to charge the bowl/jar. Add some more coins or cleanse it every Thursday as (i think) it's the best day to manifest money.

I changed up my prosperity altar with a couple of new spells, plus a new money cat! The money cat was actually in a blind box, and I’m taking it to be a positive sign!
I’m also adding an emoji spell here because I’m graduating in May and really need to find a job 🤞🏼

Money/Prosperity Bowl
Tumblr media
Non-ingredient materials:
A bowl or dish
Green or yellow candle (can use white)
Spare change/cash
Money oil
Ingredients I use:
Alfalfa - prosperity, wealth
Aventurine - fortune, motivation, wealth, prosperity
Bay leaf - wish granting, catalyst
Cinnamon (powdered or sticks) - fortune, protection, wealth, attraction
Clove - wealth, attraction
Coffee - catalyst, speeds things up, amplifier
Dill - fortune, wealth
Garnet - catalyst, prosperity
Geode - fortune
Goldstone - wealth, luck
Malachite - wealth, fortune
Mint - protection, wealth
Money Oil
Pinecone - prosperity, wealth
Pyrite - wealth, luck
Clear Quartz - amplifier (can replace any other stone)
Rice - abundance, prosperity
Rutilated Quartz - fortune, wealth
••••••••••
Cleanse your space and materials however you see fit. I like to smoke cleanse with pine or corresponding incense, but do whatever feels right to you
Add your rice to your bowl. Visualize money and abundance coming your way. Imagine the different ways it can come to you; maybe you got a new job or a bonus on your check. Think about all the good things you would like to come your way
Add your herbs into your rice(except the bay leaf and cinnamon if using sticks). As you add each herb, make sure to set your intention and thank your herbs. I've found that showing gratitude makes a world of a difference. If you're using crystal chips, I would also add them at this time
After your herbs and possible crystal chips are added, stir it all in clockwise, while repeating affirmations or simply thinking about what you want to bring in. Concentrate on what it is specifically that you want, and feel that energy pouring from yourself into the bowl
Move onto your candle and bay leaf. Carve sigil to match your intention or currency symbol into the candle as well as your name and anyone else included within the spell. Write the same on the bay leaf. Then anoint both with the money oil
Place your candle in the center of the bowl. Then begin adding your crystals. Again, remember to take your time setting your intentions and thanking your crystals. After your satisfied with that, add the spare change if you have it and then, you guessed it, thanking it for the job it's about to do
Sit back and admire your work. You just made a money bowl!!!!
To cast, light the candle with intention.
Happy witching!!

hello all!
I know I've been inactive, busy from school and other commitments, but I thought that would make for a great opportunity to share my recent witchcraft experience.
if you're someone who goes through cycles of practicing and not practicing, especially if you feel guilty when you don't, I found having a small daily ritual has helped me a lot. I haven't been doing any spellwork or working on my grimoire, but blessing and wearing my veil every day for me has meant that I have a small amount of time each day to dedicate to my practice, even if it's just thirty seconds. additionally, with all my commitments, veiling gives me a sense of control and power within them, even when my life feels messy. particularly, I've felt a lot more balanced since I started asking for mental and emotional protection, and I think I've been able to handle my relationships and activities a lot better.
it doesn't have to be veiling, it can be praying or blessing your water bottle or adding to a money bowl or wearing something enchanted or any number of things that work for you and your practice, but I encourage everyone to do one small thing each day to keep yourself committed.

Things I do for work as a witch in the service/restaurant industry ✨💵
Hi, so I am a hostess/waitress but I am also a pagan witch so here are some things I do for work. Both before, during, and after
Before work
I typically will light the abundance candle that is in my money bowl and sit with it as I get ready, this helps me focus on manifesting abundance through my routine
I love glamour magic, and have charged some of my makeup that I wear for work to help manifest money and abundance in my life. I did this specifically with my highlighter, but you can do this with any part of your routine whether that be makeup, or skin or hair products
Some of my jewelry is charmed for abundance, the silver hoops I wear in my first lobes at work are charmed for abundance and money.
I carry citrine and Smokey quartz in my wallet to draw money in but also keep it safe and encourage smart spending
I carry a pouch in my bra(you can carry it in your pocket as well, I just wear tight jeans at work and it’s more comfortable for me to carry it there) in this I have bay leaf, marjoram, Rosemary, pyrite, amazonite, and moss agate. These all have their specific uses. But the general over arching property is abundance.
I use my abundance oil and draw sigils on my throat and on the inside of my arms. I also use my protection oil on my chest
My perfume is charmed as well and I spray that before work
I sometimes will do a tarot reading to get a feel for the energy of my upcoming shift
After work
First thing I do when I get home from work is cleanse myself, both physically and energetically. I typically with take a shower, I use products that contain herbs like rosemary and lavender to benefit both from their medicinal uses and their magical properties
While I shower I typically with think about how the night went, practicing mindfulness is a important part of manifesting
After I’m out of the shower I apply my skincare, which I find is a useful tool in building up a good foundation for the night. It makes me feel completely reset
I will then recount my tips from the night and right down my hours. I do this while sitting at my altar and burning my abundance and protection candles.
Then I put any money I want to save into my money bowl. This allows me to sort of recharge its energy at the end of each night
If you have any questions or have a topic you want me to cover feel free to leave a comment or send me a dm 🖤✨

I’m sure I’m not the only person who has thought of this, but here’s the single-most successful component of my money bowl spells: donating the money I feed it to people who are unhoused.
About once a month, I gather up all the change in my money bowl and put it into a little cloth baggy. I usually have at least $5. Sometimes it’s a lot more. Then I give that money to the first person I see asking for change at an intersection or in a shopping plaza.
I feel like the pay-it-forward aspect of the money bowl in that way is more ethical and does more good.
I grew up very low income and have struggled financially most my life. But the universe has always granted me small extra funds when I need it the most, and I’ve seen amazing results from my money bowl spells.
This way though, I’m not just helping myself, I’m helping others. And of course there are plenty of other things I do to help people that I don’t go into detail on via social media because I think it sort of defeats the purpose to brag about it.
