My last post summarized what sweet gum balls, aka witch’s burrs were, and this post is about turning them into spells! In my hand, from bottom to top, is my protection burr, money burr, spirit offering burr, and love burr. My favorite methods of using these are burning them to release the spell and placing them on your altar or in your bag/purse, but get creative! Recipes are below:
Protection Burr

-Cinquefoil
-Green wax
Spirit Offering Burr
-An Offering or Spirit Oil
-Heather

-*Lavender (for lesbian love)
-*Safflower (for gay love)
*Both lavender and safflower can also be used for attracting multiple genders, not just for what is stated, such as men, women, and nonbinary or trans partners if you do not identify as straight.

Friday April 12-14 moon magick
This is a time to get motivated. The moon is providing you energy to reach your goals.
This phase symbolizes growth, intention, and hope, setting the stage for what you wish to achieve in the coming lunar cycle.
A good time to start a new habit that will support your goals/ intentions you have set this moon cycle.
Crystals: Citrine, Rhodonite
Scents: Grapefruit, Spearmint
Ritual: Light a candle, meditate on your intentions, and write them down. Visualize yourself taking the first step towards your goal.
Journal Prompt: What small, achievable steps can I take today towards my larger goal? How can I support myself in this growth process?
Spell: Write your goal on a small slip of paper and fold it in half. Visualize yourself completing your goal-see yourself being successful. Place the paper on your altar or other special place and set a stone on top of the paper. Use either aqua aura quartz, aventurine, or a clear quartz crystal. As you put the stone in place, chant:
"Success will come with motivation,
planning, and determination.
Setting forth with heart and soul,
I know I will achieve my goal."
Repeat this spell for each goal, each time seeing yourself achieving it successfully. Leave the stone and paper in place until you have achieved the goal. Let it serve as a reminder to keep working toward it.
