I changed up my prosperity altar with a couple of new spells, plus a new money cat! The money cat was actually in a blind box, and I’m taking it to be a positive sign!
I’m also adding an emoji spell here because I’m graduating in May and really need to find a job 🤞🏼

Let’s Talk Money Magic
Money bowls. Green candles. Magical Cashbooks. These things all work but how effective are they really in the brand scheme of things?
Let me let you in on a little secret. They aren’t that effective. Well, they are, but they aren’t, and I’ll tell you why. Have you ever done a spell or a manifestation for money, but your car may have broken down, and your insurance gave you a large sum of money to fix it? You still have your money, but at what cost? Or perhaps you came into a large sum of inheritance out of nowhere due to a family member passing. This is more of an extreme example, of course.
This all ties into mundane and magical. If you don’t have a mundane path for that financial sorcery to fall upon, how else are the spirits/universe going to give you what you desire? They are going to find a way, just might not be in the way you want.
At the end of the day we live in a capitalist society, everyone is one paycheck away from becoming homeless these days. In order for financial magic to work we need multiple lines of income. Either that be a job, investments, a business, etc. That’s just the reality of things. You may receive that occasional sum of money from the government for an unclaimed amount but how often does that actually happen? The answer is not often.
Money and Mindset
I’m order for us to become successful with money we need to change our mindset about money. A lot of us have trauma stemming from generations having to due with finances. Some might call these energetic blockages that stop us from reaching our full potential. Which in a way that is true. It stops us from deciding and reaching our goals.
Through changing our relationship with money and our mindset. We start to notice a shift in our life. Maybe we find our passion that leads us to what we want to do as a career that’s more prosperous. Maybe we go into a business and we have great sales. We look into proper investing techniques and make a big decision and it happens to pay off.
Look at your ancestors relationship with money, your parents, and yourself. This is where you need to dig deep and look at it. Once you change your relationship with money, it flourishes in other aspects of your life. Healing that wound with finances is what’s really going to help you.
Being abundant is not about getting a check here and there. It's about enchanting your life.
Money Magic and Disabilities
In a world where we need to constantly learn, adapt and change we need to look at ways for us to make money in order for us to be financially abundant. However we run into situations like being disabled and not being able to work a career, relying on the government. Not everyone will be so lucky to even be able perform successful constant money workings.
Pushing this financial magic can be harmful, especially to those who are disabled and can’t work. So what can we do in the meantime? Here is my post on what we CAN do in the meantime.
For those who are able-bodied, the reality is that in this day and age, you will have to monetize your craft and seek higher education if you are to be financially abundant. Here is a link to a post on different avenues to do just that to build upon skills.
Also, bad grades? No problem. Check out your local community colleges; they sometimes offer free course upgrades.
The Mundane Before Magic
The spirits cannot grant you wealth without a direct avenue for it to deliver itself.
For example, you want a job but are not searching for one. If we look at probability here, there is a very low chance you'll be getting that job without actively looking. Magic can only give you so much before you have to start putting work into it.
Now, if we consider you wanting to get a raise at your job, you've put in the mundane work, lined up all of your avenues, and finally done the magical to set it all up. Your chances of getting that raise are much higher.
Now, the more avenues of income you have, a business, a job and investments, AND you did prosperity workings on top of that. That's where you'll get the real results. However, let's be honest, who has the time for all of that? It is true, though, that the more avenues of income you have, the easier time prosperity magic will come to you.
How to use Money Magic
Now let’s go into how to really work with financial magic. I talked a bit about this in this post.
Prosperity altars are so important, in my opinion, if you want to start building wealth in a magical sense. What not a better way to build wealth than by working with the spirit of money itself?
Here are some basic item suggestions to get started. You're going to want to keep within the gold and green colour scheme, which symbolise wealth and prosperity.
Altar cloth
Corresponding prosperity crystals
Corresponding herbs
Money tree
Prosperity incense
Candles
Coins
A money bowl, Jupiter cashbox, manifestation mirror box, etc
(Realistic) Petitions
Alcohol offerings (Rum or Whiskey)
Want to change your mindset when it comes to money?
In Jason Miller's Book Financial Sorcery, a ritual called Moving Your Setpoint helps you transform your past mindsets into your desired mindset. I have not personally tried this ritual, but I've heard success from those who have.
Alternatively, you could try a dedication/values ritual where you dedicate yourself to the best version of yourself or even a phoenix ritual of transformation.

Disability-Friendly Prosperity Magic
So let's face it, those who are disabled have a hard time with money in general, either from being unable to work or not having a steady, strong source of income. Sometimes we can monetize our hobbies, admittedly at a limited capacity (some less or more than others).
From our relationship with money, money mindsets, and income streams, it's hard. That's not to shame anyone, either. Some overspend to cope, while others are incredibly frugal.
In this post, I will review some resources, tips, and tricks for the struggling disabled witch.
The Mundane Before Magical
Step one is to make a budget and track your expenses. I'm serious. Sit down, look at where your money is going, and decide on a budget that you can realistically stick to. I use the 50/30/20 rule as a budget, which is 50% Needs, 30% Wants, and 20% Savings. However, I recently switched wants and savings around so I can save for a trip.
Now I do not want you to worry about a big fancy budget method. I don't want you to overthink it. Here is a resource (Canada, but it can be used in the USA) to start one. Focus on your needs like housing, utilities, basic clothing, food, etc. Then go into wants and entertainment, and finally, savings. I suggest you put any debt payoff into the needs category if you have any debt. You do not want a blow to your credit report.
Now do you have any financial goals? Going back to school? Debt payoff? A trip? Even a big medical trip coming up? Here is a resource (Canada, but it can be used in the USA) that can help you create a goal and a plan to pay this off.
Savings, please, your SAVINGS. It is vital to have an emergency fund. Job loss? Death? Vet bills? Children? Dentist? You better believe that piles up. It is recommended if you are single to have at least 3 months of income saved up, with a child and single at least 6 months. Married on two incomes, the same amount. Married with one income, it is recommended without children at least 6 months saved up and with children 9 months. It is vital you have the means to take care of yourself if an emergency strikes. It is never recommended that money be stopped from being put into these accounts.
If you are in debt, look at your debt relief options. Sometimes there are services out there that can advocate for you regarding debt. They will help you develop a plan, understand the relief options, sign documents with you, and develop a credit rebuilding program. These services are out there; even if they are paid, they can help you pay off some of your debt, especially credit card debt.
Educate yourself on investing, basic investing, and financial literacy, in stock markets and everything beyond. Know what kind of accounts you can hold and what could help you in your situation.
Need help applying for disability? Here's a resource for the USA (a lot can also be used for Canada).
The Magical
Upkeep a prosperity altar. Work with the spirit of money like you would any other spirit. Honour it, talk to it, venerate it. Money loves to be valued, moved, not wasted, and used in charity. Most importantly, money takes time. Money takes time to grow and build a relationship with.
This is the most important thing I've learned about money. It wants to be worked with. It's sitting there. It wants to help and aid you in ways that you need.
Work with this altar on Thursdays, incorporating the spirit of Jupiter. Jupiter rules over finances. Long steady finances, not quick finances. Jupiter rules over business, legal and all things finances. Jupiter is a slower-moving planet.
You can also incorporate the spirit of Mercury on Wednesdays along with your Jupiter workings. Mercury is a fast-moving planet, a planet for fast-moving money. However, you must build a long, steady form of finances over quick, easy cash (but sometimes you do need it right now).
You can create a money bowl and work with it on this altar, a Jupiter cashbox (I will make a future post on this), or a manifestation mirror box filled with petitions, sigils and your investment/banking information.
Fill your altar with greens and gold, imagery for wealth and abundance, pocket change, and anything else that symbolizes wealth.
Do not forget to leave offerings for your money altar. A simple glass of water can do but try to do more if you can.
Road opener workings or petition with an offering for the cross-road spirits who can unblock blockages in your way.
Final Take Away
I know this might not help everyone, but I sincerely hope this helps somebody. Financial literacy was not taught to everyone, nor were proper budgeting tips. I wanted to share what I've learned over the years as I believe it is vital information for some of the information I have collected.
Blessings

Fáilte!
This post will be detailing how I set up my personal (temporary) altar in the place I'm currently staying. Life has been difficult as of late for me personally, and I've been leaning heavy on my spirituality and religion to get through. In doing so, as I'm currently without a solid place to live and am staying in a mattress on the floor of my friends' apartment, I've graciously been allowed to utilize an empty shelf to create this space to welcome abundance and prosperity to all friends and frith who walk through our door.
The altar is tailored to me personally, but feel free to take any inspiration from the things I've chosen to use for it! I initially just grabbed my things and placed stones and items up there on intuition, the following information is notes from my Grimoire I took in researching my choices.
As you read this post, there will be some tiny numbered annotations in some places. There will be a clarification section at the bottom where I'll explain these notes further!

Gifts & Jars
I first placed an abundance jar on the shelf that I made 2-3 years ago. I built the altar around this, but first cleaned the gunk off of it with olive oil and then soap, it looks brand new! I made sure to smoke cleanse it and shake it well with refreshed intentions. On top of this jar, I placed a seashell given to me by a dear friend and fellow practitioner - of whose the home I'm staying in belongs to. I did this with the gifted shell with the intention of it being a conduit to share any blessings of abundance I receive with them, as some small repayment for all they've done for me.
I then placed two crystal trees with copper trunks given to me by another dear friend. One's leaves are portrayed with green aventurine, while the other is rose quartz. I will get deeper into the meanings for all the aventurine I put up there in the "stones" section below. But in the meantime, these trees were gifted to me with the intentions of the aventurine bringing me luck, fortune, and abundance. While the rose quartz was intended to attract love all encompassing, love for myself, for the people around me, and my romantic prospects.
There are also two green candle holders on the lower shelf, gifted to me by my dearest friend and Druidic mentor on my birthday this year! I placed a large green aventurine on the West¹ candle holder, and a similar sized desert rose on the East¹ candle holder.
There is also a much smaller spell jar gifted to me by aforementioned Druidic mentor's sister, who noticed I was going through a hard time recently. She explained the spell as follows:
"The jar is for spiritual awakening, protection, and helping to connect to your lunar³ side."
Ingredients: Red roses, lemon peels, pink Himalayan salt, and blessed rainwater. It is sealed with white and pink wax. I set a smoky quartz on top of this jar.
I also have another abundance/prosperity jar gifted to me by an old acquaintance set up there too, but only after it was smoke cleansed! I have a small mahogany obsidian sitting on top of this one.
And lastly, with a mushroom-shaped bloodstone sitting atop it, I included a small jar containing my fortune collection - yes the ones from the cookies. Simply for good fortune, even in the smallest things, like tiny strips of paper!

Stones & Crystals
(Note: Organic minerals and compounds are not a replacement for professional medical/psychiatric care.)
Aventurine - Practical enthusiasm, prosperity, diffusing negative emotion, reinforcing leadership, promoting compassion, and encouraging perseverence.
This stone is represented a few times on this altar. It is sitting on the West candle holder. The West is Water, and where the sun sets. A steady flow of all these properties will wash over me by the end of each day.
In the mid-center of the bottom shelf, I have a tile of it with a gold engraving of my sun sign, Taurus, to represent myself and attract the grounded, Venusian energy of it.
Desert Rose - Protection, prosperity, purification, enhanced psychic abilities, enhanced dreams and past life recall. Raise vibrations, experience white light, open and cleanse the upper chakras, restoring lost balance.
Sitting on the East candle holder. The East is earth, and where the sun rises. I will start my days grounded, buried happily in this stone's properties.
Clear Quartz - Amplification of the entire altar. Neutralizes negative energy, promotes balance and revitalization for the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual planes. A deep soul cleanser, aiding in concentration and unlocking memory. Balance, harmony, and alignment. The "Master Healer."
Located in the back-center of the bottom shelf.
Citrine - Increases optimism, sunny cheerfulness, alignment, aura cleansing, mental clarity, wealth, prosperity, and success. Reduces anxiety, fear, and depression. Improves motivation and self-expression, establishes inner peace, promotes joy and good luck!
In the center, in front of the clear quartz and Taurus aventurine tile.
Sunstone - Connection to the solar³, and leadership. Encourages openness and benevolence. Willingness to give and bless others.² A stone of joy, to inspire good nature and enjoyment of life.
East of the aventurine Taurus tile.
Moonstone - Inner clarity, cyclical change, connection to the lunar³. Encourages embracing new beginnings, femininity, fertility, balance, softness, and intuition.
West of the aventurine Taurus tile.
Satin Spar/Selenite - Clears low and stagnant energy, invites high and bright vibrations. Raises vibration, fosters mental clarity, repairs holes in the auric field. Reconnects to past lives, and boosts inner power. Dissolves lingering negative energy from long periods of darkness.
I have three sticks of this stone set on the shelves. Two lining the front of the top shelf, and one lining the back of the bottom shelf.
Bloodstone - Carries the purity of blood, inherently speaks of life, birth, vitality, strength, passion, and courage. Protective and nurturing, a talisman for good health and a long life. A gem of noble sacrifice, promotes and rewards altruistic character. (This is also the stone I use when connecting with An Mórrígan!)
This is the aforementioned mushroom-shaped stone sitting atop my fortune jar!
Smoky Quartz - Grounding and detoxifying on all levels. Gently neutralizes negative vibrations. Disperses fear, lifts depression and negativity. Brings emotional calmness, relieving stress and anxiety. Promotes positive thoughts and action. Alleviates suicidal tendencies, dispels nightmares, but manifests your dreams. Aids in concentration and promotes healthy communication.
This is sitting atop the spiritual awakening jar discussed in the above "Gifts & Jars" section.
Mahogany Obsidian - Sacral and root chakras. Protection and grounding, eliminates blockages. A stone of reflection, it helps to show us what needs our attention in this moment, while aiding with self-acceptance and self-confidence. Often used in decision making processes.
Sitting atop my gifted abundance jar from an old acquaintance. I chose this stone specifically because a friend recommended I start healing at my root chakra before working myself up!

Miscellaneous
(Random other things on/attached to my altar.)
I hung my small, angel aura quartz necklace off the West side of the shelf. I lost a pregnancy/child in 2019 and bought this necklace as my connection to them. I keep making jokes that I "put my son on the altar." Very funny to me, my friends don't know how to react when I say it LOL
My first cat's kitten collar. It's rainbow, which gives the full spectrum of colour to the altar. I have it hanging off of the upmost center of the shelf. This was specifically to include my fur babies in my abundance, as we're in a difficult housing situation and they are not staying with me currently. This is an energetic promise to do better by them, and to spoil them with love and abundance as soon as we find stability.
And lastly! As I walk around and/or clean the house I take every bit of loose change I find and fit it onto the lower shelf. This is to promote an anti-lack mindset. If I let go of the little things I do have instead of hoarding them in white knuckles, the universe will return it to me a million times over!

Clarification Notes
1 - For the intents and purposes of this post, Left will be referred to as "West" and Right will be referred to as "East."
2 - I personally struggle with people pleasing and giving more than I have to offer. I will not let this part of me go completely, but will only give from excess in love and energy going forward, outside of extranormal circumstances.
3 - Doing away with gendered language in my personal practice as a fluid individual, I refer to 'the feminine' as "lunar" energy and 'the masculine' as "solar" energy.

Cedar & Cinnamon Yule Log // Burned during Yuletide to cleanse your home, aid in healing, increase psychic powers, draw money, attract luck & love. May this season bring abundance while blessing you & yours. Obtain at #TheWitchery via https://www.thewitchery.ca/product/cedar-cinnamon-yule-log/ The custom of burning the Yule Log goes back to, & before, medieval times. Originally a Nordic tradition. The Yule Log was originally an entire tree, that was carefully chosen & brought into the house with great ceremony. The largest end of the log would be placed into the fire hearth while the rest of the tree stuck out into the room! The log would be lit from the remains of the previous year’s log which had been carefully stored away & slowly fed into the fire through the 12 Days of Christmas. It was considered important that the re-lighting process was carried out by someone with clean hands. If any of the log is left after Twelfth Night, it is kept safe in the house until the next year to protect against lightning! In some parts of The Netherlands, this was also done, but the log had to be stored under a bed! Light the end, let it smoulder and waft through the space you wish to cleanse. Make sure you extinguish when you are finished. This item can be used multiple times. Approx 7-8 inches longer & thicker then previous years.
