(first of all this is not at all an accusation towards you because you said you are not on instagram so you wouldn't know)

I have something that i find weird and it's the different approaches fans have when someone from Rafa's family/friends share pictures of him on Instagram and these pictures being shared by fans across all social media. (without Rafa himself sharing them in any way) Like I definitely find it weird that fans found some of his friends and families Insta accounts and even weirder that they're following them just to get content of Rafa but i guess that's how fandom works.

But whenever people from his family post pictures that he is in and some fans share them they get the biggest shitstorm, are called names and "why do they not respect his privacy".

But when it's Rafa's friends most fans love sharing the pictures (see the new ones from yesterday) and love talking about it and thank fans for sharing them. So, what's the difference?

And first of all my opinion (which might be controversial) is sharing these pictures is okay bc after all Instagram is a public site. Rafa must be aware that some fans follow people he knows because he gets tagged in said "personal" pictures that the fans share. And his friends/family also must be aware when suddenly a lot of people with "Tarlos" or "Rafael" in their usernames start following them/liking/commenting etc. Instagram is not a family album or something hidden behind codes/passwords and if you share something on there on your public account you have to expect that people will see it and maybe share it/talk about it. If Rafa really doesn't want these pictures seen I am pretty sure he would've told the people by now that he doesn't want to be in pictures that they share publicly and I am sure that it would be respected. But bc there are still pictures posted by his friends/family I am sure he doesn't care as much as some people think.

People digging in private information is a huge no go (obviously) but sharing stuff provided on a public website is not as terrible as some people make it out to be.

What's your opinion on that?

It is a bit complicated for all the reasons you said, like where the line exists between a right to privacy and the fact that a person choosing to be a public figure means they are necessarily forfeiting some amount of the right to privacy that a non-public figure would have.

I guess it breaks down a little situationally. Like hacking someone's computer and posting private pics of them is obviously over the line. Fans going in search of the instagram accounts of non-public figures who are friends with public figures in the hopes of content .... that one feels a little icky to me. More invasive than I personally would feel comfortable being. But then again, I reblog the pics when they get posted here, so I don't know if I have any high ground there. And it's clearly a pretty common thing that happens so it's maybe an 'it is what it is' sort of situation.

I think with Rafa specifically it's important to note that he is super private and very carefully curates what he posts online, and because of that I feel like it's fair to assume that if a friend is posting a picture of him on their own page, it's because they have his permission to do so. Obviously I don't know that for sure but I think it's a fair assumption.

so basically, this girl on insta said that Joesph Quinn SA'ed her. her overall story just sounds so made up.

to give you a run down, she said that at the meet and greet, he told her to "meet him in the back" where he then kidnapped her and SA'ed her.

for one, this would be physically imposible?? like security and stuff was legit right there, not to mention ALL OF HIS FANS??

on top of that, the girl who accused Joesph used a photo of a different girl at the meet and greet and said it was her :(

This is the girl who’s picture got used (SHE IS IN NO SHAPE OR FORM CONNECTED TO THE GIRL WHO ACCUSED JOESPH!! THIS IS JUST HER EXPLAINING THE SITUATION)

^^this girl (in the video) came out and said that she did not accuse Joesph of anything.

Someone reached out to me to explain what was going on in the replies under the post I wrote, as it can be hard to understand and might give reasons to misunderstand. (Again, thank you for reaching out in a decent manner, I do appreciate it!)

Two years ago a friend of mine came across my CC being reuploaded to a different platform. This friend sent me a screenshot of a post, where you could see the package file and a picture of my CC, and a name who posted it. Not a real name, not an email, a username on that platform. No other info was shown, I was not part of that platform, so this is all I saw. The friend just wanted to let me know, that this is happening to my early access CC, since they are a friend and they care. I wanted to check if I find the same username among my patrons, which I did, since they used the same username. I blocked this user in December, 2020 when this all took place. That block button that is on every platform (twitter, insta etc.), which prevents that specific user to access your profile, in this case content. (Of course you can always make a new account, but I didn’t care.) I don't know who they are, never wanted to know or to deal with it anymore. This is what happened, no tracking, chainblocking, no sharing private data and emails, no doxxing rings and private secret clubs with lists. I create Early Access CC, which goes free after a couple of weeks, I have no intention to keep or leak data, never had, never will.

Back then I was new to Patreon, only started a few months ago, so I was trying to grow and seeing my early access content being reuploaded was discouraging and I did the only thing I could do in that situation - block the reuploader. I do understand if you think that it was not a nice move from me, I am sorry. Not gonna lie, only this one issue caused me so much stress that I decided then and there that I won't deal with blocking people or care if they reupload my stuff. No one else is on my block list since December, 2020. (in fact, that person was the only one who I ever blocked) I stopped caring, and started focusing on creating content to those who like and want it. I do appreciate every single one of you who supported me in any way over the years, I would never break the trust! ❤

Happy Walls Dayyy!!!!!! Today was the first anniversary of our #1 fave debut album of 2020, and we all celebrated, Louis included! Last but best thing first: WE GOT A DEMO!! Louis ended the day by publishing a dreamy clip of a demo of the title song ‘Walls’. His clear voice croons over beautiful sliding electric guitars and background reverberance- if that’s his FIRST draft then he is, as we knew, a GENIUS! AND, the King Himself came on twitter to interact with his “loyal” (his words) subjects (that’s us!). He popped up at first to say that his tour, when it comes around, will be “fucking unbelievable...this is our day!”, and talked about his favorite part of the last year (“the two shows I played”), what he noticed most when performing solo the first times (“the space on stage” ughhhh all the tears), what he was looking forward to after COVID (“everything”) and getting through these times- “remember that everything is going to be better when normality sets back in.” He also explained that while he was gonna put out merch today, he “didn’t want to market the day”, but rather make it “a celebration just for us”. But, uh, the merch will be coming eventually! He then replied that there were “too many greedy fuckers out there” who try turn celebratory events into a “cash grab” (to quote the fan), and harries then got mad at that because THEY were like this must be about Harry (lol uhhhh) and assumed he was shading him and Jeff rather than, I don’t know, his OWN FORMER LABEL?? Cool cool cool, but it’s still Harry’s moth on Spotify, so cope. He told us that his proudest moment on the album was recording the strings for the Walls the Single, that he wouldn’t have approached the process differently because he’s still really proud of the album, that he was most looking forward to us hearing KMM or Walls, that Doncaster is his fav place (to no one’s surprise lmao), and, asked what song he likes to rock out to off HIS ALBUM was like oh hey have I got a rec for you: “Maybe Tomorrow” by the Stereophonics. It goes, “think I'll walk me outside and buy a rainbow smile, but be free” and “maybe tomorrow I’ll find my way home” (huh is there something happening tomorrow that could be linked to... OH. Right. Huh. Well all that is just a coincidence I’m sure, it’s not like Louis ever said he likes to rec songs because he wants us to read into the lyrics or anything... oh wait.)

LTHQ did a insta quiz over on their stories (I only got two questions wrong!) and they did the promised virtual listening party and tweeted along to each song and retweeted fans’ reactions (and all the usernames, larries everywhere, we SEE YOU). Friends of Louis joined in the celebration- Only The Poets, Ashton Irwin of 5SoS fame, Helene Hornyck (“all the love,” she said!), Isaac Anderson and more, and All On The Board made one of their lovely Frankenstein poems which mashing up a bunch of LT1 songs, but in keeping with the theme of the day (and COVID I GUESS) did it as fanart rather than the usual in person board. And all of that was the BORING part of the day, can you BELIEVE?? The FUN part was the Walls Fanart that was chosen to be the new Spotify cards on the official Walls album. As in, they are up right now if you want to go check them out, but I’m gonna tell you straight up: they’re half Harry tats! The Defenseless card, especially, as it is just straight up fanart of Harry’s moth tattoo, especially fun when he had JUST got us talking about its Papillion origin with his finsta! The artist had been worried that Louis would be mad at them for submitting ‘Larry art’, and was overjoyed to learn that, uh... apparently, he was NOT. That was not all! The ‘Too Young’ art card is H’s rose tattoo, ‘Habit’ and ‘Fearless’ were both different variations of H’s anatomical heart tat (the ‘Habit’ one even included the word kind :{) ), and the We Made It rainbow wheel did, in fact, make it to Spotify, just like we thought! “Perfect Now” was Louis standing under a rainbow spotlight—they made that one black and white for spotify but the artist shared the original version. Harries were beside themselves, and tagged Jeff (Azoff), Ben Winston, and Gemma Styles (what?), demanding that they make Louis take the art down because it was clearly Harry art, which 1.) how much more blatant can you be if even ANTIS are noticing and 2.) what sort of control do they think Jeff, Ben, and Gemma have over Louis seeing as, uh, none of them currently work for him??? Weird, are they thinking there might be some kind of link... between Harry and his team and Louis... tell me more antis, truly, I’m fascinated!

One would think that’s more than enough for one day but WAIT THERE’S MORE Zayn is in EXCELLENT quirky Zayn form having fun with his own merch—he posted a gremlin (from the old RL Stine movie ‘Gremlins’) in a NIL beanie captioned “one size fits all humanoid shaped heads” late last night, haaaaa. Yes, I agree! The red stitching really makes the gremlin’s red eyes pop, and his fangs have never looked this good! And the question arose, is Harry’s finsta actually just his side account for following nothing but gay meme accounts? Evidence—the discovery of a second follow, of the openlygayanimals account-- would suggest yes! Well that’s valid, imagine having to not only navigate the internet AS HARRY but also without funny memes of your choice, that’s no life to lead. And Niall complained on twitter that people didn’t understand his sense of humor because SARCASM! He also tweeted about golf, which I’m sure was cool for people who understand it.

This was originally gonna be a smaller post about the penstagram exchange with Hunter, but uhh I guess not.(Its so much longer than I anticipated I’m gonna put the more deeper thoughts under read more)

First off: HAHAHAHHAHAHA THE BEGINNING WITH LUZ TEXTING HUNTER IS SO HILARIOUS I FREAKING DIED. I REWATCH THE SCENE SO GODDAMN MUCH I HAVE A PROBLEM.

Like ok I’ve heard going around the fandom that: Willow would give Luz Hunter’s pensta and whatever, he would send pictures of little rascal to his friends (aka willow and maybe the Emerald Entrails too), and that he would text like an old grandpa or whatever. I FREAKING LOVE HOW THE FIRST TWO CAME TO BE VERYYY TRUEEEEE and I’m not sure how much time has passed since the last episode but I assume maybe a good week or so and he’s replying pretty damn fast but you can see the amount of typos and periods or whatever. Actually what the heck kinda keyboard he have like is he accidentally switching between keyboards??? (Or did they base the keyboard on scrolls to be like a different type of phone that isnt apple) I really like how he apologized for sending the bird picture LMAO he’s really warmed up to Flapjack now and I can’t wait to hear him actually say it in the show.

(Ignore the huge gap idk whats up with tumblr formatting) I was about to shout for 10 lines about where the hell he got the name Flapjack from if he doesn’t know what it is but then I realized the bird probably gave it to him but then didn’t explain what it was. Communication must be pretty limited to maybe one or two words maybe??

ALSO CAN I JUST MENTION THE PICTURE HE HAS FOR HIS PFP LIKE ITS JUST FUNNY TO ME ITS A SUPER GENERIC ‘cool guy’ POSE OR WHATEVER. AND ALSO THE FACT HE FREAKING HAS HIS UNIFORM ON TOO SO PEOPLE KNOW WHAT HIS FACE LOOKS LIKE IF THEY LOOK CLOSE ENOUGH (im assuming no one else in the emperor’s coven has that golden shoulder blade) but I assume that something like photoshop exists in the boiling isles so maybe most people would just think its cool editing or a costume now that I think about it.

Okay another thought with less caps lock. So I don’t know how Dms work on insta at all. And based on Eda’s line “did you steal my penstagram” and some of the texts, I’m just wondering a couple things but idk how to organize it so here’s a list:

1. Does Luz not have a penstagram??? I’m not gonna go back through the episodes to see when she ever uses a scroll but I just realized I think she’s only ever used the crystal ball to contact her friends?? Why doesn’t she have one unless she just really does not care for social media in the boiling isles which would make sense

2. Why does Luz introduce herself??? Like she says “are you good now?” Before saying her name, implying shes talked earlier and he probably tried to get her to stop spamming him with an excuse like “I’m busy.” This might be just a ‘show’ thing or whatever but the messages appear at the top, which sorta looks like its a new conversation? Maybe they just didn’t feel like adding the extra details of old messages and the time or whatever (idk if insta looks the same as imessage) Or does the formatting on instagram just look like that? Like when you go to a conversation theres no old messages?

3. Me not understanding insta just gives me this last thought: maybe Luz does have a scroll and she texted Hunter just before and he blocked her (if he knows how) so she went on Eda’s scroll to bother him

Edit: IM A DUMBASS I ALSO FORGOT TO MENTION HIS USERNAME WHY DID I FORGET HOW DID I FORGETHSJBDS. I THOUGHT MAYBE HE WOULD BE BOOMER ENOUGH TO USE SOMETHING LIKE "Hunter_34" OR "Golden_Guard 647" and for some reason it just didn't click in my mind that the username above wasn't Eda's for. whatever reason (Literally how could I forget the episode RIGHT BEFORE even showed what her user was too) I HAD TO WATCH A VIDEO TALKING ABOUT THE EPISODE AND THEY MENTIONED THAT OFF TO THE SIDE AND I FELT SO DUMB aaanywayy I just. its funny. funny funny that he chose that as his username. And I'm sorta wondering if he made that his username immediately once he made that account. Ig he's not that much of a boomer to know to use numbers instead of letters in the words and if that really was his first thought to make his user then he must think a lot about the book. Wait does he- know King wrote it??? The "rat" that fucking pulled his hair??? ok i wanted to talk more about the book and look into what sorts of things King probably had in there and what made Hunter like it so much but my brain is dead rn and this edit is already long enough

a very very genuine question: so its bad to repost art but no one says anything when people repost things from the source material/creator's sketches.....why?like sure everyone who likes it may recognize the style but there are plenty of fan artists i recognize immediately, new or old art, with or without. to me it just feels the same, like either dont repost art or people should be able to repost stuff, i dont see how they can work at the same time. and this isnt me saying people should be allowed to repost and all that bc i do understand the theory of why reposting hurts artists, just that the logic doesnt seem to fit once it extends to famous artists/creators. just bc its official and easily recognizable makes it okay? how does that work? again, there are plenty of fanartists who are easily recognizable and lose no money when people repost their work (bc they posted it for free) and from my own observation, it seems it just, somehow, makes them want to do art less (from what i have read from artists themselves). why do we not consider that when it comes to official creators? wouldnt they also feasibly be less motivated seeing their hard work plastered across the internet for free when thats the sole way they make their income? and its not a system where its solely sticking it to the man bc it hurts the artists income, as well. but if it makes them happy to see people enjoying and sharing their work with others, drawing interest, why isnt it the same with fan artists? people often repost art, not out of malice or intent to claim credit, but bc they enjoy it + want to share it, esp on social media where sharing isnt a feature (instagram, for example) again im not trying to justify reposting, just confused about the contradiction

First of all instagram does have a form of sharing posts- stories. Which yes they are temporary by default, but you can use the highlight feature to collect your favorite things you’ve shared from people right there on your own profile AND it links back to the original post and can permanently be on your profile as long as you keep it there. You can even label them and everything! But then moving on to answering more of your actual questions

To start: this is a very complicated thing. And I feel everyone trying to answer it might have slightly varied opinions.

I personally see a pretty clear distinction between ‘Officially published/released’ works (like comic book [as like you’ve probably seen I frequently post comic panels] or other materials that may have been released in creator guides, official video game art, promotional art for things, etc etc) as opposed to like, personal work and fanart. Because with official works:

There’s usually a source to buy it and you should if you’re referencing it a ton (while I don’t own every comic I’ve ever read I do have a lot and if I did read something first through illegal means [because some comics are just straight up hard to find due to age/being out of print] and enjoyed it I try to seek out a physical copy after if possible)

There is a level of far wider recognition (I know you personally might find fanartists’ styles recognizable but like, things that are in mainstream media.. have just such a higher profile. it’s not really comparable)

If you’re not supporting the official release you’re harming the big company that published it far more than the individual artist (like, the individual artist probably also wouldn’t appreciate it, because it can effect them for sure as well, but they’re not gonna be taking the brunt of the damage unless it was entirely self-published work, which I’d definitely categorize differently from what I’m mainly talking about here.)

Often fanartists/professional artists who aren’t that well known, in addition to wanting to just create work for the sake of it, also want to build their own platform, to have an audience that they interact with. Or like, if they’re offering commissions, a bigger platform puts you in a position where people will actually see the art and want to commission you. When you say reposts of smaller artists’ fanart doesn’t ‘loose them money’ because they didn’t charge to post it, you’re missing the fact that it makes them loose out on proper linked-back-to-them exposure. Especially like, when a repost account on insta or something says ‘ah yes credit to [username] on tumblr’ the vast majority of people who see it aren’t going to then open up a whole different website and look for the artist. Some people might! but if there’s anything i’ve learned from working professionally in arts marketing it’s that people want things that are convenient and directly in front of them. Someone who wants to see more works because they liked one is significantly more likely to click on the username of someone who posted it rather than opening up a browser or a different app and searching a separate name put in the caption.

Then honestly, I do feel weird about reposts of professional artists’ more personal works unless the artist has stated they’re fine with people reposting with credit. It should be about the comfort level of the artist. I think a lot of professional artists who aren’t in a position where they’re as worried about building a platform, because they already have one and might have professional connections/opportunities already lined up, might not really care about reposts especially on a website they don’t use. (Like tumblr. I’m coming at this mostly from a comics artist perspective here, but most professional artists I see are waaaay more active on twitter and instagram than tumblr) If it’s a website they don’t use, it’s not taking away from the platform they had been building there for themselves. And also, some artists really just don’t give a shit, which is their choice they can make with their work! But that’s not a universal thing. One artist being fine with their personal art being reposted =/= all artists being fine with it.

In my own experience as a fanartist, when I see my art reposted without credit, especially when it’s art I’ve also already posted on the same platform... it’s definitely disheartening. Even worse is when the repost gets even more attention than my original post. (something that has happened to me multiple times!) Like, it can get so upsetting! Because it lets me know that someone else was using my art to build their platform and I got exactly zero benefit out of it. Then when it’s reposted with credit it’s a little less annoying, but I still don’t... get much out of it. Especially if it’s an instagram repost and they credit my tumblr not my account on there, since insta captions don’t actually do links unless it’s to other insta accounts. Also with insta for example, I have a 'business’ account set up so I can look at and track popularity of my posts and see how they’re doing as something to keep in mind when considering posting times, etc etc. When other people repost my art there I have no control over it. That sucks a lot! Also, when I quite literally ask people not to repost my art (it is IN! MY! DESCRIPTION!) and they still do, it’s just straight up disrespectful. I asked for a boundary to be respected with my work and people have just completely ignored it. That doesn’t feel good at all.

But, conversely, I’m gonna talk about my more professional irl work for a sec. I’m a graphic designer, so I do things like posters, logos, etc, When I design a poster for a client that is meant to be advertising something, even if it’s got my own original illustration or something as part of it, I know my name isn’t necessarily going to be attached to it the same way as it is with my personal work. I get a credit line somewhere, but that’s in a fine print probably not even on the poster itself at all, but that’s like, part of what I signed up for. I already get paid separately, I am giving permission for my work to be out of my own hands in that way. Professional work for a client is often setup in some way similar to this. I don’t get mad when I walk down the street and see a poster I made up somewhere without it directly ‘linking’/referencing back to me (aside from maybe my signature if it had an illustration), in fact I go ‘OMG ITS THERE ugh wait i see one pixel is off oh noooooo” and then move on with my day. It’s just an entirely different situation because that kind of work has a different arrangement from the start, where you know it’s going to be put in a different type of circulation.

So yeah, my word isn’t god here, but I definitely see official releases as having a different set of permissions based on the fact that they are published in an entirely different situation. And I think reposts of personal art aren’t cool if the artist isn’t okay with them, no matter how big a platform they have. Other people probably approach this with a slightly different perspective, but that’s mine!

What are they like on social media? (What’s their username, profile pic, etc.)

greg: username is something minorly embarrassing (he’s carried the same username from his freakin myspace and geocities over for like. continuity purposes), profile pic is a headshot on fb/linkedin/anything else public and at least semi-professional and a goofy picture of his face anywhere public but less professional (twitter). very interactive. fb is mostly shared content from dog- and cat-spotting pages, anything noir or vegas history, and science breakthroughs. his twitter is full of dumb jokes, nearly-impenetrable science jokes, dog- and cat-spotting, retweets from daily positivity accounts, and occasionally @s a friend in random stuff (he is CONSTANTLY @ing nick in literally ANYTHING cowboy or cowboy-adjacent) ([pic of a child’s size bright pink bedazzled cowboy hat in a thrift store] “@ nick how could u give away my bday present to u like this 😢”). he definitely has an insta and a tumblr, under a different username, profile pic unrelated; insta is dog- and cat-spotting, sunrises (even the less picturesque ones), the occasional snap of unusual science results (any identifying info blacked out) with no caption except for emojis, and poorly-lit headless thrift-store selfies. tumblr is stories from work (identifying info redacted), both the funny and the tragic. he either uses no tags, or he uses tags instead of commentary. he uses so. many. emojis. on every platform

muninn: username is boring as hell anywhere public; his profile pic is a professional headshot. he posts like. nothing. he has a completely unrelated twitter (including an email unconnected to anything else) (profile pic probably a raised middle finger or something) that is solely for cat-spotting and screencaps of his texts with his cousin, especially his cousin not understanding normal life

Preferred weather?

greg: sunny and hot! he prefers cloudy nights, tho- he likes the reflection of the city lights

muninn: windy, and not wet. sunny, cloudy, hot, cold- whatever. he’ll layer accordingly. he just likes the wind and doesn’t like being wet

Favorite music?

greg: he likes lots of different kinds of music- rock, metal, jazz. whatever he’s listening to, he likes it loud

muninn: post-teen pop. he will die before admitting this

It’s movie night, what movie do they pick?

greg: classic noirs! or the occasional screwball comedy

muninn: a thriller or a spy movie

What’s their sleeping position?

greg: starfish, probably

muninn: he tosses and turns a lot, but he generally conks out on his stomach

Something small that they enjoy?

greg: chocolate. something as simple as a snickers or kit kat from the vending machine can make him feel better after a hard day

muninn: getting a ‘fancy’ coffee (i.e. anything other than just black coffee)

What is enough to bring them to tears?

greg: it... takes a lot. something like a long, hard, frustrating day is more likely to make him fume than cry. pretty sure the only time he cries canonically is after he sees a man getting beaten, hits someone with his car to prevent that man from getting killed, gets beaten badly, and realizes that this is how his over-protective mother is going to find out he’s in the field. so... a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day involving psychological trauma and getting the shit kicked out of him

muninn: ...also a Lot. a bad enough shock might do it, like barely surviving something and knowing other people weren’t so lucky. he’d probably have to start crying without realizing it to actually shed tears tho- if he realized he was getting choked up, he’d wrestle it into anger

How well do they take care of themselves?

greg: pretty darn well 😌

muninn: pretty darn badly 😞

Do they consider others family?

greg: oh definitely!

muninn: the allwinter practically has to beat him with a bat before he will even consider this

What’s their idea of a perfect vacation?

greg: going somewhere he’s never been or doing something he’s never done- he wants to Experience Life

muninn: he’d say something like “a week without responsibilities so i can sit at home and watch cable” but i think it’d actually be something like an alaskan cruise or one of those finnish northern lights trips. the beautiful places, being away from big cities/crowds, northern lights, and food/activities he’s never done before would pull him out of his mental rut and make his brain finally shut the hell up

The strangest thing they have ever seen?

greg: *pulls out list* *it unrolls for seven minutes*

How much do they swear?

greg: not very much but when he does, oh boy, he’s mad

greg: get up, shower, style hair, eat breakfast, go to work

muninn: hit ‘snooze’, get up, shower if he hasn’t in the last three days or so, drink coffee, think about eating, run out of time to make food, get food on the way into work

greg: i feel like something mundane, like peanut butter, is the funnier answer here (given his job he’s run into a lot of disgusting things)

What is an art raffle?: Art raffles are basically a lottery for the chance to win free art by an artist, they are done for many different reasons but in our case it’s a way to celebrate 100 followers and give back to you lovely people! Basically after you enter you’ll have a chance to get a free commission from one of us, each artists decides themself how much this could entail and should you win you can discuss what you’d like with them.

How to enter: to enter you must simply be following this blog and reblog this post, anyone can enter but by entering you agree to getting whichever artist, this is a free art thing, kindly don’t be choosing about it

Prizes: a drawing/written piece by one of our lovely admins, there’s 5 of us participating so there will be 5 winners. You will get assigned an artist at random and you then get to choose what you want as long as it’s within what we are open to doing.

How long is it open for?: Entering will be open for a week before we raffle the winners!

What happens if you win?: After the winners are raffled we will randomly assign you an artist from the people we have entered. They will than DM the blog you entered with from their their personal blog to talk ideas, when all is said and done they will go about drawing the thing you asked for. This is basically like a gifted commission, each artist might have different rules on what you can and can’t do with the drawing, they will discuss it with you beforehand, a lot of artists may also want to post it, if you’d rather they not make sure you tell them beforehand.

Rules:

If you have not answered the artist’s DMs after 2 day we’ll be forced to raffle a new winner.

One drawing per winner.

We have multiple artist in so we will have multiple winners, you get assigned one at random, if you complain about which one you get or are rude to us we WILL repick you. Don’t test us.

We want to work with you but in the end we decide the rules for what we can and can’t do, try to pressure us into doing more and you get nothing. Same goes if you get rude about how long it’s taking.

Kindly keep it don’t starve themed, some of us may be okay with drawing your fan characters for the game though, feel free to ask!.

Best. Job. Ever. (Tom Holland x Reader) 2/?

Summary: Reader gets a job on the set of Spider-Man: Far from Home for the 3 weeks they are shooting in New York City as what she thinks is a production assistant, but a twist of fate has her reassigned as Tom Holland’s personal assistant. As she & Tom grow close during filming, will their budding friendship turn to more or will they go their separate ways after filming concludes?

Warnings: Language, but that’s pretty much it? This is basically a PG-13 rom-com.

Word Count: 1860 for chapter 2.

Author’s Note: As this was written WAY before Spider-Man: Far from Home was released (actually before Avengers: Endgame was as well) I’ve kept plot details and which scene was being shot on what day extremely vague. Also, I’m American but tried to write Tom as British as possible, although I do think he’d try to stay(ish) in character and use as much American slang as he could while he’s still playing Peter.

The next morning, Y/N woke up before her alarm, so she got ready early and headed downstairs to get her and Tom each a coffee before going back up to their floor. She knocked on Tom’s door and was looking at her phone when the door swung open.

“Good morning, Tom, are you--” Y/N’s eyes widened as she looked up.

Tom stood before her in nothing but a towel, a toothbrush sticking out the side of his mouth.

Holy shit, he’s practically naked, she thought, feeling her face heating up . “I’m-- I’m sorry, apparently I’m early, I’ll come back--”

Tom yanked the toothbrush out of his mouth. “No, no, come in, it’s fine.” He stepped out of the doorway and ushered Y/N inside, gesturing to the armchair in the corner. “Make yourself comfortable. I’ll just be a few moments.” He disappeared into the bathroom, closing the door behind him.

Y/N had seen Tom shirtless on screen before, but nothing compared to seeing his chiseled abs in person. Mmmph.

She mentally shook her head before placing Tom’s coffee on the dresser and sitting and taking a sip of her own, letting the warmth of the coffee calm her. Get it together, Y/N. You're here to do a job, not moon over your celebrity crush.

A couple of minutes later the door opened and Tom stepped out, fully dressed this time in a pair of jeans, sneakers, and a blue plaid button-down shirt. “So sorry about that. I was up late studying my lines so I got a bit of a late start this morning.”

Y/N checked the time as she stood. “It's ok, we have a couple of minutes to get downstairs.”

Tom hurried to drink his coffee then grabbed a hat and his sunglasses so he wouldn't be recognized, and he & Y/N made their way downstairs to the hotel lobby.

As soon as they stepped off the elevator, Y/N's phone buzzed with a text. “Perfect timing. The driver's here.”

They exited the hotel to find a nondescript newer model black town car waiting for them.

“Mr. Holland, Miss Y/L/N,” the driver greeted, shaking their hands briefly. “My name is James, and I'll be your driver to and from set while you're in town.” He stepped over to the car and opened the door for them.

“Ladies first,” Tom insisted, gesturing to the car.

Y/N slid into the back seat, Tom following behind her. They buckled in while James settled himself in the driver's seat.

“Okay,” James said once he had buckled in and eased the car into traffic, “we’ll have you at your destination in just a bit.”

Tom pulled out his phone and started scrolling through it, so Y/N took advantage of the silence to look out of the window. A few seconds later, her phone buzzed with a notification.

Instagram: tomholland2013 just posted a photo.

She glanced over at Tom, who had just put his phone away. She tapped on the notification and Tom’s Instagram popped up.

It was a selfie that he had obviously just taken, with the caption “On my way to set. Can’t wait for you all to see the finished product! #spidermanfarfromhome”.

She grinned over at Tom, who had been watching her. “You’re really good about keeping your fans in the loop.”

“You follow my Insta?” he asked with a smile.

“Yeah, I have for a while. I follow a lot of the Avengers cast.” Y/N shrugged, like it was no big deal.

Tom pulled his phone back out. “What’s your username? I’ll follow you back.”

Y/N gave him her Instagram username and sure enough, a few seconds later she received another notification.

Instagram: tomholland2013 is now following you on Instagram.

“I'm going to have to screenshot this momentous occasion so I can post it to my Insta,” Y/N joked.

Tom laughed. “I can do you one better. How about a selfie together?”

Y/N grinned and shook her head. “Nah, I'm not really going to post it. I wouldn't take advantage of your celebrity status just to gain a few Instagram followers.”

“Well how about just for us then?” Tom leaned closer to Y/N-- or at least as close as his seatbelt would allow him-- and pulled out his phone once again.

Y/N leaned in as well and smiled as Tom snapped a selfie of them together.

He texted it to Y/N and she saved it to her phone.

“All right, folks, we're here,” came James’ voice.

Y/N looked out the window. Sure enough, they had arrived at the set.

James stopped the car, got out, and opened the door for them, Tom sliding out first and Y/N following suit.

“Ok, so I just got the detailed schedule for today and it looks like it’s going to be pretty tight. You’ve got just enough time for hair, makeup, and wardrobe if you go right now. Filming is scheduled to run from 8:30 till noon when everyone will break for lunch for an hour, then it's back to filming until 5 pm.” Y/N looked at Tom. “Do you need anything right now? Coffee? Tea? Food?”

“Actually I'd love a croissant from the craft table if you wouldn't mind fetching me one,” Tom replied somewhat sheepishly. “ I could smell them when we walked in.”

Y/N nodded. “I'll go grab one and meet you in hair & makeup.”

“Thanks so much, Y/N.”

Y/N walked over to the craft table and grabbed a croissant for Tom as well as a muffin for herself and headed back to the hair and makeup room.

“Oh, darling, you’re a lifesaver,” Tom said, taking a bite of the still-warm croissant.

Y/N laughed. “It was no problem. Do you need anything else?”

Tom shook his head. “No, nothing else at the moment, thanks.”

“Um, ok then… I guess I’ll see you on set? I feel kinda weird just hovering while you’re trying to get ready.”

“Nah, it’s fine,” Tom replied. “I’m almost done here anyway.”

His stylist dusted some sort of translucent powder on Tom’s face then finished taming his wild curls into Peter’s signature hairstyle. “Ok, you’re all set,” she said.

Tom hopped up. “Shall we?” he asked Y/N.

They made their way to wardrobe, where the wardrobe supervisor took a look at Tom, handed him a t-shirt to change into, then declared him ready for filming.

Tom unbuttoned his own shirt and took it off before carefully pulling the t-shirt over his head. “Ok, all set,” he said.

They then headed to set, stopping every so often for Tom to say hello to someone, including Jacob Batalon, who played Ned.

They finally made it to the set proper, where the director, Jon Watts, was wrapping up a conversation with a lighting tech. “Ok, fantastic. Thanks Josh.” He turned to Tom and Y/N. “Tom, my man! How's it going?”

Tom gave him a fist-bump/bro hug combination. “Jon, great to see you.” He gestured towards Y/N. “This is Y/N. She's my P.A. for the rest of the shoot.”

Jon shook her hand. “Nice to meet you.”

“Likewise,” Y/N replied.

Jon clapped his hands together. “Ok, let's get this show on the road! Places people!”

Y/N silenced her cell phone as everyone scrambled to get into their places and Jon called for quiet.

“And… action!”

Y/N watched in fascination as Tom seamlessly transitioned into Peter Parker. She had literally only known Tom a couple of days, but she could see how much of himself he put into the character.

They repeated the scene a few times from different angles, Tom and Jacob clowning around between takes.

Finally Jon called “cut” and broke for lunch.

Tom walked over to Y/N. “What did you think?”

“That was fantastic,” Y/N replied. “I can tell you really put thought into your portrayal of Peter.” She held out two bottles of water. “Oh, here. I thought you might be thirsty, but I didn't know if chilled or room temperature water was best.”

“Wow, thank you so much.” Tom reached for the room temperature bottle of water and took a swig. “Shall we get some lunch?”

“Oh, I figured you would want me to go pick you up something,” Y/N replied questioningly.

“We’ve only an hour, so there’s not a whole lot of time to actually go out. Lunch is usually catered in,” Tom explained.

“Well in that case, sure. Lead the way.”

Y/N and Tom hung out with Jacob and some of the crew during lunch, Tom introducing Y/N to everyone. Most of the crew had been together during the entire film shoot, some having also previously worked on Spider-man: Homecoming.

After lunch, a few more scenes were shot, and finally the set wrapped for the day.

Y/N waited near the entrance to the set and checked her email while Tom changed back into his button-down.

“Ready to go?” he asked.

“Yeah, I’m ready,” Y/N replied. “James is waiting out front.”

They made their way to where James was picking them up and had a comfortably quiet ride back to the hotel. They thanked James and headed through the hotel lobby to the elevators.

After they stepped onto the elevator and hit the button for their floor Tom asked, “so what are you planning on doing this evening?”

“Oh, probably just catching up on some reading,” Y/N replied. “You?”

Tom rubbed the back of his neck. “Actually, I was thinking about dinner?”

Tom shook his head. “Actually I was thinking about the two of us having dinner, together. Even though last night was technically a meeting I really enjoyed your company. I eat alone so often that it’s nice to have some someone to chat with, y’know?”

Y/N felt bad for Tom. She couldn’t imagine having your every move scrutinized just because of who you were and not really being able to go out and enjoy life for fear of being mobbed. She thought a second. “Um, sure. Ok.”

“How does Italian sound? I know this fantastic restaurant not far from here. And don’t worry, it’s nothing overly fancy.”

“Italian sounds great.”

The elevator doors opened and Y/N and Tom stepped out into the hall, Tom turning towards Y/N with a grin. “I’ll come ‘round at say, 7?”

“Ok, 7 it is.”

“Fantastic. See you soon then.”

“See ya.”

Y/N watched Tom walk towards his room before heading to hers. As soon as she was in she pinched herself. Yep, this is real . She was actually going to dinner with Tom Holland! As friends, of course, but still… She sent Laura a quick text: Going out to dinner with Tom. More later! She plugged her phone in to charge before gathering the things she needed in order to shower and get ready.

INSTA & TWT SELLERS:

if you use insta or twt to buy pcs, check to see if the seller has a thread / story highlight of selling proofs aka they include screenshots where the buyer confirms they received the pc and it shows the seller’s username in the screenshot clearly. I made an insta (here) to sell/trade pcs, and please feel free to check it out to see what I mean! also, just do a lil account check like does it look sus or not LOL like there’s a profile icon, rules/info regarding sales/trades, seller’s wishlists are provided, etc - essentially, the account doesn’t look like a scam / brand new account with absolutely nothing there except for a selling post.

within the post that shows the pcs that are up for sale/trade, make sure that the seller includes evidence that they own it aka include their username on a piece of paper somewhere or have the pic watermarked. This is especially important for new sellers who don’t have much or any proof. Some older sellers with tons of selling proof already may forgo this.

If you buy from insta or twt, it’s much cheaper, but there’s the risk of the seller being a scam or your mail getting lost unless you are willing to pay for tracked shipping (if the seller even offers that). You won’t get your money back if it gets lost or the seller can ghost you if you reach out about issues with the sale 🤧 Most sellers use venmo or paypal f&f when accepting payment, so you can’t file a claim against them for those and get your money back. I personally have not been scammed yet, and I’ve bought tons of pcs this way - just be careful and assess the account before you buy.

also !!!! when you dm the seller like “hi! Is this pc available for sale?” and if they say yes, proceed to ask for a video of the pc ‼️‼️ this is super important because it provides more comfort that is legit, plus you can make sure there’s no scratches or marks or bent areas on the pc. and if the pc isn’t in a good condition that you want, you can always decline to buy it, but be nice and be like “thank you for the video! unfortunately, I won’t be buying it, but thank you again 💓” or something like that. If you want the pc, then proceed to ask them for their venmo or paypal and then complete the transaction lol

also, you have to be comfy with giving your address to them to mail you the pc - if you are a minor, please check with your parents or guardian first before giving out your address !!!!!!!

EBAY, MERCARI, DEPOP, ETC:

the reason why some people prefer to use eBay, mercari, depop, or one of those resell sites is because there’s basically insurance. You can report the seller if what you bought was incorrect / not as advertised or take it up to customer service to sort it out and get your money back. That’s the benefit of buying from those sites, but the con is that it’s more expensive because you’re paying tax and service fees as well when you buy the pc.

mercari is definitely expensive, but sometimes, the kihnos are cheaper on there than on insta / twt actually, so that’s what I mainly use mercari for. likewise, ebay prices for kihnos might be cheaper as well, so check for them on there.

If you’re interested, I can also go into detail about buying pcs on eBay, which can prove to be a cheaper, safer option if you buy a mass amount of pcs from one Asian seller (the intimidating $25 shipping fee is not so intimidating then, especially if you split it up between like 10 different pcs that are only $5 each - in that case, it ends up with each pc being $7.50 each which is cheaper than insta/twt and you have that buyers’ “insurance” that I mentioned earlier!)
