#as it is i am crumpled at the bottom of this mountain #sisyphus may be happy but i am not #i just want to print out all these little ideas and turn them into a little Quilt Ideas book #and i could print all the other little books i have half done #i starts a compilation of the magnus archive statements #and one of the feast days from the hidden almanac #and i wouldn’t mind having my own fics printed #but i was really envisioning this quilt idea #but i am three hours of work in and three failed attempts #and copying out inages using the phone is hell #because if you breath on it the screen reacts #and i am too scared to do it on the laptop screen anymore #but it would have been so cool #i have another idea for a mini book but at least i can do that by hand #because i might as well waste all my time right #stupidly upset about this #but it’s probably cumulative upsetness because i have been having a day week month idek #anyway in another life i have a little book of quilt ideas #and i am making little quilts #but for now i have my prompts tag #anyway okay bai i should. do anything else.#oh wow okay #this has been a rant #randomness

YES, the details matter. They are important. They are very important to me anyway and I need them. You might not see big huge things going on in my art but there are small tweaks and tricks that add to the environment to make it feel alive.

And I haven't even got to environmental lighting and toning yet.

it feels like no one knows what to do about long-term suicidal thoughts. all online guides are abt short term crises. therapists simply don't want to work with you. and i get it, like. i always say abt almost every problem i have, "if there was a way to do it then i would've done it by now", and that's essentially that but worse. if there was a way to stop being suicidal i would've stopped years ago, but i never have, even after getting out of bad situations i was in, and years of therapy and medication, bc the crisis here is. being alive. and there is only one solution to that that i REALLY should've done by now 🤷‍♂️

Man I need to either fuck around or research how some mixed media would work bc I'll be sitting down thinking "what would be the best way to work pastels and watercolors in a same piece" and not even try to test it out

#my posts #i assume watercolors should usually go at the very bottom bc i dont think theyd stick well with other mayerials #but would the pastels smudge properly on top of watercolors? probably but not a thing i know about!#also i heard some materials crack if put on top of others #i think it was oils and acrylics. one of them cracks on top of the other #which one i have no idea. also what kind of crack bc depending on that that IS a thing you may implement #i know some markers/pens will get their nibs ruined on top of certain materials but what's the extent of it. which materials. all of them?#i know some materials are very opaque and will cover ink so its more like a waste of material but. does the ink bellow-#-have a chance of ruining what you put on top? assuming its dry and wont smudge #i barely do traditional art instead of digital (barely do digital lately but its another story) and so im thinking about it #i should fuck around and find out #(dont have oils or markers thats just general questions but i have watercolor acrylic gouache pencils ink and oil pastels so..)#i think the acrylics are relatively good quality and everything else is a bit whatever normal can find them at rvery library #but i kinda miss painting and ending up kinda stained lmao

At this point I don't care about the hot swordsman with Orphic themes at all. I only care about the heathcliffean master craftsman

#*they said less than 24 hours after finishing a book on traditional Chinese fencing with the jian*#A lot of things reminded me of Jingliu. Some of them of Blade‚ yes. And perhaps even more things about Jing Yuan #But many many things reminded me of Jingliu #I may save some lines here later #Anyway... They didn't have to make Yingxing a revengeful shy self-conscious child #regarded as nothing in the society he grew up in but that came to be an arrogant craftsman skilled beyond any expectation #Yet they did #And now I am bound to love him #It's like they took the traits of my favourite type of character‚ story‚ trope and motif #and shaped them into a very aesthetically pleasant man #But I'm so mad. I can't stop thinking about him. He haunts my every hour #It's been what? Two months almost? In the rare occasions in which I'm not thinking about him I'm thinking about Jing Yuan #What a good character he is. And totally the type of character I love too. Checks all the boxes #Goodness I am so afraid of being let down by their writing. The potential is so good #The pieces are so well set‚ the parts are so neatly crafted together for now. It would be such a pity to waste it all #I talk too much #I should probably delete this later

#go to a shelter. pick a dog. take it home. congratulations you now have a very specialized wolf #which imo is so much cooler than owning a wild animal #i think the only time people should have wild animals is if they're an animal keeper with experience #and the animal cannot be released into the wild #want a bird pet? get a chicken or a pigeon. they're domesticated & a lot easier to bond & train #want a serval or hybrid or something? just get a fucking cat dude. so much easier #people want them because they're expensive & so they can brag #& then they realize wow this is NOT a domesticated animal & either throw them away or put them down #dont waste your time. dont feed the breeders money. just get a dog that actually needs a human home to live in #you cannot bring a wild animal into your home & expect it to go well #this animal is not human. it isn't a dog. it may pack bond to you but it will never be a dog #dont @ me with anything i don't really care

it is the third summer with this garden and I still mostly have no idea what I’m doing, but the parsley finally looks healthy, the two new strawberries haven’t died yet, and there are so many worms and snails and terrestrial isopods everywhere, so it seems to be working for someone

#did decide to cull the weird mint because it keeps producing twisted eldritch abomination Growths and I don't trust it #also the aquiligia are taking over everything given the chance #and I still want to fight the landlord for putting in two teensy raised beds and surrounding them with PLASTIC-LINED gravel #it's SO MUCH wasted surface area #well mostly wasted there's dandelions and I'm trying to get as much stuff to grow around the edges as I can #also potted the cuttings I took from my houseplants a while ago may they grow long and bountiful and take over the entire bookcase #crow talks

procrastinated doing windows by doing TOO MUCH on the upper floors of some of these shells... sad! really gotta get those windows in tomorrow lol

and i bulldozed one of the lots so ill have to restart that shell. i almost got all the shells at least drafted tho, so thats good.

#i may have to significantly reduce the size of one of them but idk yet.#which would suck bc then id be wasting so much space on that lot #but i dunno maybe itll all work out.#itll definitely be nicer bigger apartments than some of the other buildings #i just hope they wont be TOO big lol #might experiment with multi level units #havent got any 2 story units yet #might as well in there since it'll take up space #AND there'll still be room for a large communal gym or some other shared space #simoleon

25 Laws of power for women

Conceal your goals especially the ones that are appealing. Losing weight, reinventing yourself, marrying wealthy. Instead talk about your altruistic goals - to help children, invest in education, this will chase insecure people with vile intentions.

Do not give anyone your source of power: Was is a book that changed your life? a mentor? a movie? Never give up your secret to success. If forced to do say allude to God, the universe, the a random phenomenon

Use the patriarchy to your favor; we live in a world that is, only associate with men who have power, use that power for good.

Never appear too perfect but be selectively vulnerable when needed. Only share something that you will be comfortable saying. You might say “I forget my keys all the time,” “I don’t know how to perfectly park a car “. But never disclose something you are not comfortable with just because you are afraid of being perfect.

Maintain distance in relationships. Friends are the best and you need them. But if you feel that they are becoming too dependent, see them at your own will. But also the reverse could be the case. Your friend may keep a distance, and that is the way of life. You have got to move on from it.

Develop your own style that makes you unique, beautiful, and elegant. Avoid trying to fit in the crowd of people who claim to care less about their style yet have too many opinions about other women’s style

Avoid male friends at all cost, you will have male colleagues, male bosses, male acquaintances, business partners. Keep it that way. You do not want a Truman Capote divulging your secrets to the world. Do not keep a man who does not fit your standard.

You do not have to win at every game. Pick and choose what is best for you and leave room for others. And step down if you have attained that level of success, do not let the society do it for you.

Trust people but remember that we are all humans. So trust with discretion!

Confuse people with kindness; people are not always comfortable with beautiful and intelligent women. That power is too intimidating so confuse them by being genuinely generous, curious, kind, and passionate.

Keep your strong opinions to yourself.. if you support a movement, a way of life, do so silently.

We all have dirty laundry, wash them privately, don’t expose yourself. Remain silent when people try to attack you or shame you. Whatever is not confirmed is not true. You are the only one who knows all the truth about you.

Don’t attract pity or praise: People who pity you do not help you, in fact they might think that you are weak and could mock you at their annual gossipping meeting. And if you are doing things for the sake of praise you are wasting your time.

Choose yourself all the time; never put any one’s feelings above yours.

Trust your own intuition if you feel someone is being malicious towards you, giving you back handed compliments then you should let them go

Never speak bad of another woman. Do not lazy around gossipping. Keep your hands clean and your conscience clear.

Avoid women with low self esteem they will bring you down. For some reason they do not like seeing other women who are doing better than them

Be careful who you seek validation from. Not everyone needs to be pleased. If they are in no way capable of contributing to your life in the ways you prefer, then don’t ask them for their opinions or please them.

Do not compete with other women, if you do you are only putting them on a pedestal. You are making the the standard by which you measure your progress. If you do compete, begin digging your grave.

Do not give unsolicited advice, do not share the inner workings of your mind, If your mouth is very charitable you better start journaling.

Be well-rounded and interesting. It attracts people. It also keeps you busy because you are continually improving and learning. An idle mind is an easily subdued one.

Avoid women who want to live vicariously through you; they want to know who you know, shop where you shop, befriend who you befriend, wear what you wear.

Pay attention to the source of your discomfort; get rid of them. You tell them your dreams and they remind you of all your hindrances. They ask why are you dressed so fancy as though fancy isn’t subjective. They undermine you interests and goals. They will also be quick to bring you down because they are afraid of your potential.

Do not fear power or please power. When we see powerful people we try to hard to befriend them, to be close to them but you need to be comfortable without them. Don’t push yourself in the name of friendship, do not try too hard to be in their inner circle. Your independence of mind is the most important. Instead become a powerful woman, aloof to the presence of power but aware of its importance. Be an ingenious and intelligent and use your creativity to uplift yourself. When you do so it will be hard to ignore you. Even the powerful will become an ally.

Enjoy moments of solitude. Use that time to develop yourself, improve your body, learn new skills, create with your mind, read widely, become more elegant, then launch yourself.

#this is about pizzazz #BUT ALSO #here’s my thing right #like i do think pizzazz cares about the other misfits but I also don’t think she has this like. secret soft side #i think it’s a lot more fun if part of her thinks she should #which caused her to double down and be herself to the fullest #am I making sense #like when the asshole character reveals they like cocktails and strawberries #pizzazz doesn’t have that. she’s rowdy and arrogant and loud and rude (she can say it but nobody else can! especially not Jem!)#and she does care for the misfits but that’s how she cares #she throws money at them because that’s what her father did but she doesn’t want them to go away or leave her alone like her father wanted #her to do when he spoiled her #so she makes some kind of effort. and sometimes she sees the looks on their faces as if they’re waiting for her to…open up or something #but there’s nothing there. this is who she is. pizzazz is ALWAYS who she is. and they love her for it but she knows they’re slightly shocked #which is fine. it’s good that they get over this early on instead of wasting their time on it (on her)#she doesn’t expect for them to fall for her harder to be her ride or dies and come out stronger #she’s pleased but she’s genuinely surprised but maybe some surprises are okay actually #BUT WHAT ABOUT HOW SHE ACTS TOWARDS HER DAD?! u May be asking #well I think she’s very aware that that’s out of character for her #i think she hates when she’s like that but she can’t help it #she can’t help shunning pizzazz who she KNOWS daddy doesn’t like and becoming Phyllis #begging for a scrap of attention and throwing a tantrum when she gets a band in return #at least as pizzazz she has some power. people are scared to fuck with her and they’re terrified to fuck with her friends. bandmates.#(btw this was all like stream of consciousness how pizzazz sees herself kind of in my mind. to me she does have kind of a soft spot - for #her band obviously for stormer moreso but also the way this manifests isn’t really in a sickly sweet slow ballad kind of way. more desperate #possessiveness and mowing down anyone who’d make her slightly upset. it can get real toxic real fast but it’s real)#anyways the post itself is real to me but not very related to these tags just wanted a segue sowwy
