Jane Mallory Birkin (14 December 1946 – 16 July 2023)

Jane Mallory Birkin was born in London in December 1946, daughter of British actress Judy Campbell and Royal Navy commander David Birkin.

She had lived in her adopted France since the late 1960s and apart from her singing and roles in dozens of films, she was a popular figure for her warm nature, stalwart fight for women’s and LGBT rights.

Darrell Cartrip x Bob Cutlass Headcanons! I blame @rollingwheels for making me ship these guys! (Jk it's adorable!)

• They have been married for 35 years and how they met was a long story.

• Darrell has major golden retriever vibes, and Bob loves it so much, and he loves dogs so much so that's why he married this man!

• Darrell has gotten into accidents when he was on the racetrack, and Bob was so freaking shocked, the medics were blocking him not wanting him to see that.

• Bob always kisses Darrell on his scars to prove to him that he loves him so much. And Darrell would break into tears.

• Bob is shorter than Darrell. (My short king)

• Darrell always loves the head pats when Bob and him are cuddling with each other. (He loves those things like a puppy)

• Bob gets jealous when Darrell is with another guy or a woman would latch onto Darrell's legs and glares at the person.

• They always give each other pet names.

• Darrell and Bob would have "fun" on Saturday night... Yeah... But good thing their walls are sound proof... (I would feel bad for their neighbors ☠️)

• Darrell would complain if he doesn't get any attention but he would use the puppy eyes either way.

Something I can’t stop thinking about is Bible’s interview he did a couple weeks ago. The one he did completely in English where he talked about letting go.

He said his greatest goal in life was to be a father. Never mentioned a partner, sexuality or anything else. He said he wanted to be a father.

The fandom lost their shit, spewing absolute vitriolic hate. Here’s what I have to say to that:

You know nothing about his life other than what he shows on social media. You see 1% of what he does. He has never said he is queer or straight and you don’t get to assume if he is.

Since when has babies and marriage only been a heterosexual thing? By spewing all of this hate based on one sentence, all of you have confirmed exactly what queer people fear.

Queer people are nice and convenient when they fit in a box. When it’s a mere “sexy” or “hot” image of them being with someone. But once they no longer fit into that. When queer men or women (mostly queer men from this fandom) show they exist outside of sex, you all lose your minds.

If you hated what I said then, you’ll hate what I say now. If all you think about when you hear about queer men or actors or even when you think of Bible is sex or NC scenes, you are homophobic. You are fetishizing real people and taking away the beauty of the love they can share.

Only thinking of sex or talking about them in sexual contexts is homophobic just in a different way. I don’t consider any of you ally’s, I consider you unsafe.

Bible deserves to have a family. He deserves to fall in love and be allowed to love. Whether it’s a man or a woman or someone in between, it doesn’t matter. It isn’t your business and he doesn’t not deserve your support because your idea of him was “ruined”. Families are for gay people too. We fought extremely hard for those rights and people in Thailand are still fighting for those rights too.

Queer people are not your sexual fantasy.

Let me say this again:

QUEER PEOPLE ARE NOT YOUR SEXUAL FANTASY.

(Oh and yes I’m also talking about Zeenunew too)

Part of the reason we keep getting bullied by defaults is because we get scared instead of getting ANGRY.

Someone calls you a gay slur, you get scared.

Someone calls you disgusting, you get scared.

Someone insults your people, you get scared.

Your parents hate "those people", you get scared.

A new bill is passed to keep us out, you get scared.

No No No No No!!! 😡😡

How long are we going to keep being scared, though? Let's get ANGRY! Why do they get to make you feel like shit? Why do they get to fuck who they love and deny you the right to enjoy that? Why do they get to live their lives in peace and we have to constantly fight for ours?

Isn't it time we show them our scary side? Isn't it time we show them what 'phobia' really means in homophobia? Love isn't supposed to be this hard for fuck's sake! We didn't do anything wrong yet we have to hide ourselves like we have trash as skins.

I don't know about you but I sure as hell am tired of apologizing for what I am. I want revenge, not representation.

Some voting rights info for everyone. PLEASE make every effort to get out and vote. We are on the precipice of fascism and we need to deploy every tool in the toolbox to protect democracy - especially with bodily autonomy, lgbtq+ rights, voting rights, affirmative action, and other human rights issues on the line. If you’re afraid of voter intimidation in your area, arm yourself with the phone numbers in slides 2 and 3, get pictures of anyone who attempts to intimidate you out of voting, and if you’re afraid try to go in a group if you can. So this review made me want to come to Tumblr, because I'm so sick of homophobic shit on film reviews...

So it's not the most amazing film about, but it is fun. It's probably more aimed at teens and younger adults. BUT it's absolutely full of LGBTQIA+ representation, one of the main characters is transgender. There's drag queens too.

The film maker is only 17 years old. SEVENTEEN YEARS OLD! So yeah, it's not a masterpiece, but it is obviously something they felt very passionate about and that shows.

So honestly check it out, and give it a review.
