Babysitting Nezuko drabble

Tanjiro and the others we're training excessively and so is the other hashira's, nezuko wanted to play with mitsuri so badly but it looks like she's abit busy.. so tanjiro kindly asked for your help to take care of his sweet sister. Of course you agreed since you didn't have anything to do anyways, walking to the large wood box and sitting infront of it while softly knocking. No response.

It has been Atleast thirty minutes and yet she still havent came out, you even start to wonder if she's even in there. You tried knocking again and this time she finally waddled her way out! You asked if she wanted to spend time together and perhaps play board games to which she agreed to do.

The two of you have been playing for an hour yet it feels like just a minute ago, to be fairly honest she's not much of an expert at it but you let her win anyway (if u don't i will find your house).

Tanjirou and the other's are finally done as he thanked you for taking care of his sister and asked if you'd join in for dinner, if you agree then they're so happy that you can accompany them through dinner.

During dinner you stroke her hair now and then to tell that you're still paying attention to her even though you're eating (since idt she eats), after that feel free to style her hair if she let's you!

Walking out, nezuko looked a little disappointed that you had to go but surely it wont be the last time you spend time with her right?

As Sabito situated himself as the big spoon again, Giyuu squirmed, resuming his comfortable position. Giyuu’s head was obscured by his hood so Sabito couldn’t see his face, but his expression was probably tired and annoyed. Snow and rain respectively made Giyuu sleepy, but it was so cold he probably couldn’t will himself to sleep. Poor baby, Sabito thought as he kissed the top of his boyfriend’s hood. He resumed his previous position, pressing his face into Giyuu’s shoulder.

He probably won’t be able to sleep either, Sabito thought bitterly. They were warm enough that they weren’t shivering, but it was still miserable. They piled mountains of blankets on their bed and wore layers, and yet it still wasn’t enough for them to get completely warm. Sabito wished he could just turn the heater on but that simply wasn’t an option. So, they had no choice but to resort to other methods of warmth, thus leading to wrapping themselves in the warmest blankets they could find and share body heat.

Still, there had to be some way they could warm themselves, and fast. Although, the solution to their problem appeared to remain unanswered. Hm…

It was late.

You should’ve been asleep by now, you wanted to be asleep by now. Even when your heavy eyes fluttered shut no dreams would appear. You were stuck in an endless loop of sleepless nights and exhausted days. You were fully aware your husband would be upset when he found how brutal your insomnia had been lately, but you definitely weren’t expecting him to respond in the way he did.

Yoriichi Tsugikini was a quiet man who severely lacked emotion. You had married him nonetheless despite him being so peculiar. As a swordsman who fought in the dead of night, he’d often appear at random times that were untrackable. Sometimes he came home at the brink of dawn, sometimes he got done earlier and arrived just past midnight. He was always a quick worker, as he clearly wasn’t fond of being away from you.

The shoji slid open, exposing the pitch black outdoors. Yoriichi silently entered as he began to slip off his scarlet colored haori - his eyes showing not a single tint of emotion. He detached his sheath and sword just as quietly as he discarded his haori. He wandered to your shared room, footsteps tranquil so as to not disturb you.

A flash of burgundy hair entered your vision accompanied by the shine of Yoriichi’s classic earrings. Even in the soft dim lighting you could see the obvious discomfort on his face when he realized you were up again. Being married to Yoriichi made it easier to read his expressions and what they all meant, despite them all being quite unintelligible.

“Apologies, did I wake you?” Yoriichi’s tone was intimidating to most but seemed so warm to you, a familiar voice that could always bring a smile to your face. You glanced up to him drowsily, a gentle upturn of your lips appeared despite your circumstances. “No… Not at all. Don’t worry about it.” You responded in a weary voice much to Yoriichi’s concern.

He said nothing for a few moments before sighing and lowering himself down onto the futon, hands trailing up to your cheek. “I understand I cannot just ask you to sleep,” His brows furrowed softly. “But is there anything I could possibly do to assist you?”

A light blush painted your face from his considerate words. You laid your hand atop Yoriichi’s, who was busy cupping your cheek. “Can we maybe cuddle?” You chuckled sheepishly, admiring Yoriichi’s tender touch. A seldom smile brightened his face that simply caused you to melt.

“I was already intending on doing so.” He planted a gentle kiss on your forehead, strong arms wrapping around your torso. You nuzzled into Yoriichi’s broad chest, his heartbeat steady and calm. His serene actions gave you a sense of comfort. As if your sleeping problems didn’t exist. It didn’t matter if you didn’t doze off with the way Yoriichi’s cozy and warm body snuggled up to yours.

“I love you, my sun.” Was the last few words you heard as you drifted off.
