Colour : Jimin

I think about Colour : Freedom part of the photo folio a lot. It's literally my roman empire. I think about it at least thrice a day. (Contd.)

Perhaps I wouldn't think about it so much if it was just for an album concept. But we know that all photo folios were self directed. The members had full creative freedom and creative help. Jimin decided to show us 'parts of himself'. He called this particular look 'unrefined boy' and even compared this look to HYYH concepts. For some reason, Jimin has always been attached to HYYH, that album holding a very special meaning for him. Even tattoed 'young forever' on himself. I digress.

So they had full creative freedom to decide the elements put into this photoshoot. And one CANNOT argue that he just did what the stylists asked him to. Jimin won't let these elements into a photoshoot that shows sides of 'HIMSELF' if he wasn't aware of the implications. The lights, the symbolism, the outfits, the temporary tattoos, the props. I repeat, these photos are not for an album or a magazine or a song or a commercial. They're just to represent him. Some other members decided to do more conceptual/fictional shoots- jk with vampire aesthetic, V with vintage european aesthetic, jin with concepts related to sea. But Jimin clearly said he wanted to show different sides of himself.

Now one might say, he was just trying to show his 'gender neutral charm'. But there are so many ways to do that, instead of inserting obvious queer elements. We have other 'gender neutral' charm artists and kpop idols. He could have just shown the feminine and masculine sides, busts of artemis, apollo with gender neutral clothes. But he had to write 'free love' on his arm, and wear THAT t-shirt.

Same with the Robert Mapplethorpe pants in Like Crazy MV. He won't wear pants with some dude's face on it, for the title song about his own experience, for an album about his own self, and NOT ask the stylist about the face on his pants. The same pants that will be immortalised in Youtube forever in his debut title track MV. Jimin knows who that dude is. A 1-minute google search will tell you that Mapplethorpe was a well known celebrity photographer, famous for striking bnw photos and controversial shoots. Notable ones being - the one where he blurs the boundaries of genders, female and male nudes, gay male BDSM photography etc.

I remember how once there was massive backlash on BTS because one of the members was seen wearing a tshirt with the Japan atom bombs attack print on it with the text 'liberation of korea'. I might be wrong. But that made a lot of noise and even a BTS radio show in japan was cancelled. So you cannot tell me that bts members are not careful with what they wear, especially after that incident.

I know a lot of 'woke' armies said we shouldn't assume things about him. But..we aren't blind either. So I guess it's -

If you get it, you get it. If you don't, you don't.

We'll never get to see all the layers of his personality on camera and that's alright. And no, we'll never ever get to know any possible queer life experience related to him. (Keyword: possible) There are limits to what he shows to fans.

Thinking of putting down some more thoughts on the entire photofolio. I observed there's a story in it too. Maybe someday.

PS: I hope you realise that I'm not talking from a shipper perspective. That is about something Jimin is actively expressing, not about what fans speculate/analyse. This post is about Jimin and Jimin only.

I hadn't given the tattoos much thought before I asked you, the thought popped into my mind and I wanted to know your opinion.

Sick Jungkook going to Jimins hotel room for comfort with his stomach hurting and being really bloated and loud. If you’re comfortable maybe some burps? Oh and belly rubs please

Jimin chuckles when he heard knocking on his hotel room, already knowing who's standing behind. He put his phone on the table beside his bed, once again ruffling his damp hair from showering as he walks to open the door.

"Have you eaten dinner?", Jimin asks, trailing the guest from behind, and playfully slaps the younger thighs when Jungkook immediately plops on his bed without saying anything. " Yah!"

"Noo", Jungkook finally answers, huffing as he shifts into more comfortable position—one that didn't give too much pressure on his stomach.

"Why? The menu today is delicious", Jimin walks to the table where all of his dinner is there—steak, ramyeon, and tteobokki. " Do you want some? I was just about to eat when you knock"

"No ..", Jungkook answers once again. Voice muffled as he nuzzled against the pillow and sheets.

"Why are you coming here if you only going to sleep", Jimin rumbles, opening the ramyeon—deciding to let the younger be.

He already finished with his dinner, comfortably laying on his back beside Jungkook that still soundly asleep there, not even moving a muscle. He was in the middle of reading something on Naver, when he feels Jungkook shifts, turning to face him and nuzzling closer. Jimin frowns, as Jungkook isn't one clingy type and ask for cuddles when he sleeps—hell, he even need to forced him for a cuddle in daily.

But Jimin shrugs it off when there's no other movement other than the tattoed arms now wrapping around his middle and he could feel Jungkook's warm breath over his skin. He continues to scroll, and almost had phone smacking Jungkook's head as he didn't realize he's dozing off when he heard a low rumbles.

"Hyung.."

"Huh?", Jimin groggily response. He yawns, and groaned when his muscles aches a bit as he stretches it. "You awake?"

"My stomach .. hurts"

Jimin's eyes widen. "What?", he twists his body, to get a better look on his dongsaeng, that apparently not messing with him. His face pinched, and with how he had been maintaining the same posture—curling his body until his legs pressed against his chest, he wonder how long Jungkook had been feeling like that.

"Since when?", Jimin asks, he sits up straight now.

Jungkook rub his cheeks against the soft fabric, still not wanting to open his eyes as he mumbles, "After the concert..."

"And why you just tell me now, Jungkook-ah ...", Jimin sighs, "How bad is it?"

"I don't know .. it's just .. bad", Jungkook breathes out in every words, clearly whining. He hates feeling sick.

Jimin sighs, brushing the younger hair that falls into his eyes, "Wait here .. i will try to ask for something", he says before standing up and walking from his room. Their staff must have something.

Jimin halts on his feet, looking at his phone. It's almost midnight. There's no way he gonna knock on the staff door this late.

"Jimin?"

Jimin turns, his eyes sparkling at the sight of the older, "Yoongi hyunggg", he grins, smiling so wide as relief washes over him. Yoongi frowns, clearly confused at the latter act, why he looks so happy?

"Why are you standing there?", Yoongi asks as he walks to his room. He cocked his eyebrow when Jimin trails from behind and stands awkwardly, waiting for Yoongi to press the key. "Why? You wan't to sleep with me?"

Jimin snickers, "Hyung ..", he starts, "Do you happen to have something for stomachache?"

"Are you sick?", Yoongi asks back, tossing his mask, hat, and bag to the bed. He let Jimin trails in, "I think i have some hot pack and medicine here", he mumbles as he rummaging through his bag.

Jimin sits on the edge of the bed, waiting patiently until Yoongi turns around and hands him the goods. "Who's sick?", Yoongi asks as he ruffles his hair after being cooped under the hat. "Jungkookie .."

"Huh? What's wrong with him?"

"I don't know", Jimin answers, standing up to go back to his room, "He just barges into my room and sleep, then complaining that his stomach hurts", he explains. "Anyway, thank you hyung!"

Yoongi hums, trailing behind the younger, "Call me if you need help", he murmurs. Jimin nods, shooting him a thank you again before he quickly rush to his own room.

Jimin expected Jungkook to fall back into sleep, or still laying down curled in like before. But what he found once he's stepped in his room .. is really out of his expectation.

"Jungkook!", he almost yells, heart thumping loudly in his chest with worry. He quickly kneels in front of the younger that bent over his waist, on the edge of the bed, breathing heavily. Jungkook had his arms wrapped around his middle, and his free one making a fist—pressing it hard agaisnt his lips. "Kook .. hey, what's wrong?", Jimin softly asks, running his fingers through the younger locks.

He got his answers as Jungkook burped into his fist, that caused him to shuddered, and a second later morph into a belch. Jungkook sucks a deep breath, before shaking his head furiously. "No .. hyung. Move", he chokes out. Every movement of his lips sending a bland taste of saliva coating more of his mouth. "I'm gonna throw up", he breathes shakily, before a burp interrupts once again. This time wetter, and before he can react, liquid seeps from his lips, to his palm. Jungkook eyes widen, as if his body losing it's control. "Hyung ..", he chokes out, eyes wide as he burp some more, and just like before—mouthful of liquid coming out.

Jimin gasps, stepping behind as vomit dripping from Jungkook's fingers. "Kookie .. kookie", he chants, panic. "Can you move to the bathroom?"

Jungkook shakes his head. His adams apple bobbing up and down fast as next round of vomit already licking his throat, and his stomach is too fragile now to move. Especially with the .. disgusting sensation of vomit coating his lips, cheeks, and palm ... Oh .. one wrong movement and everything would become a bigger mess. "No ..", he mumbles behind his palms.

"Okay ... okay", Jimin breathes in, trying to calm himself for a second. He looks around, about to snatch the trashcan from bathroom, but when Jungkook jerks forward once again with gag—he knows he doesn't have enough time for that. So, Jimin takes the blanket, dripping it over Jungkook's laps, some of it falling into the floor, and cupped some of it over Jungkook's mouth. "It's okay ..", Jimin murmurs softly, encourages the younger that shocked with his action.

"No no no ..", Jungkook shut his eyes, still stubbornly keeping his vomit-coated hands clamped his mouth. "I will make a me—", his words cut off as his stomach rumbled, sending a wet burp along with bigger streams of vomit out of his lips. Jungkook sways forward, letting his hand falls weakly over the blanket, and vomit dripping from his lips. He pants.

"It's okay, Kook .. let it out", Jimin shifts a bit, hands not moving from Jungkook's mouth, as the younger brings up more of his lunch out. The initially white blanket, now soiled with pale brown liquid. Jimin bites his lips, trying to not get affected with the sight or the smell of it.

Jungkook is sick.

Jungkook opens his mouth wider, now water spraying from his lips as he retches—and Jimin massage his nape with one of his free hand. "You're doing great, Kook ..", he murmurs soothingly.

It takes Jungkook few more round, until he sagged against Jimin's body beside him, and grimaces at the mess below him. "Oh gosh .. hyung ..", he croakes out, sniffling, "I'm sorry i make a mess .."

Jimin snorts, ruffling Jungkook's hair and shifts the younger a bit so he can moves. "It's okay, Kook. You're sick. And this can be cleaned by the hotel", he says softly, moving to crumpled the soiled blanket and bring it over the laundry basket. He then walks out to places it in front of his room for the laundry-man to take it the next morning, while also ask the staff to call the hotel for new blanket.

"See?", Jimin walts in, handing younger that looks tired and out of it glass of water, "Everything is fine, Kook"

"Still .. i'm sorry", Jungkook pouts.

"Are you already feel better?"

Jungkook shrugs. He doesn't know. He's feeling icky, and .. not okay—like sick, but not /that/ sick either.

"I don't know", he mutters, "My stomach still kinda upset"

Jimin pats his side as he plops on the bed, with hot pack in hand and Yoongi's medicine. Jungkook crawled in, resting his head over the older chest, "Yoongi hyung gave me this. Medicine .. but you have to eat first before you take it"

Jungkook's throat tighten at the thought of eating. He groans, shaking his head, "Later .."

Jimin chuckles, shaking the hot pack before placing it over the younger stomach, "Then i think this will do"

Jungkook hums, letting himself being comfortable, before he tugs the older wrist, "Rub it hyung .."

"What?"

"Stomach ... rubs ..", Jungkook mumbles, already dozing off with sleep as he feels exhausted.

Jimin snickers, but comply regardless. He slides his hand over his baggy shirt, moving the hot pack a bit to make a room as he starts to moves his palm in circular motion. "Gosh .. your stomach is really upset, Kook", he murmurs—feeling how hard it is, and how it rumbled under his touch.

Jungkook moans, "Don't press to hard", he croakes out, pressing his fist as another fit of burp escapes him. Jimin's palm feeling like it guides the gas and bile up to his pipe.

Jimin winces sheepishly, "Sorry", he lifts his palm a bit, "Better?"

Jungkook hums. And it didn't take long until Jimin heard a soft snores from the younger. Jimin smiles, and retracting his palm as Jungkook already fall asleep.

"Hyung ..", Jungkook whines, tugging his wrist and places it over his stomach again. Jimin frowns, before ruffling Jungkook's hair and accepted his new job. "You're so demanding"
