It's been an absolutely joy seeing that guy's stans lose their mind yesterday because of the Forbes Korea list. "How is Jungkook below Jimin" they say. "He's the most successful. A giant pop star"
HYBE fed them all that bullshit and they ate it up, taking it as the gospel. Unfortunately for those clowns, Scooter Braun and Bang Sihyuk can't manipulate *everything*
Saying any other BTS member is bigger than Jimin in SK is like saying groups like new jeans, Ive and g-idle are suddenly bigger than BTS in Korea because they released songs that got paks and BTS haven't gotten a pak since 2021.
Jimin remaining in the top 10 of brand reputation while other members plummeted was proof enough that he is the most popular member there.

The Spotify hits are all tiktok songs, some of them may have paid for tt heating but I think most of them were surprises. Like Hoziers song was scrapped from his album originally and the djo song is pretty old so it just popped off at a good time. Zico does well on melon but melon does seem to be more payola friendly now that it counts toward billboard global charts.
I'm not talking about zico, he always does good and Jennie does too. And I'm not wondering if it's payola or not either 😭
I'm just making an observation, I was actually thinking of astrology when I made the post. It's just bizarre how they seem to be multiple hit songs at a time and most of them are from artists who have never had a hit or artists who haven't had one in years. It seems not one song can stay for too long at the top because another song starts catching up out of nowhere as opposed to last year when a few songs dominated the top of Spotify global for the most part of the year.
And I'm not only talking about reaching number one on Spotify or the hot 100 too, I've noticed random Spotify and billboard first entries. The same with kcharts too.

Am I the only one who has noticed that since the Beginning of 2024, multiple different artists have had unexpected hits? It kind of feels like we've had different songs reaching the top of Spotify global more than any other year and multiple artists seem to be getting their first real hit this year and we're not even halfway into the year... Even in kpop too, groups and k artists who don't do well on kcharts are suddenly entering melon top 100 and Even reaching melon top 10

the way yall have been so wrong about his intentions for going to mhj (a bts member needing new jeans clout? pfft) because charts and stats is all YOU guys think matters to ARTISTS lmfao
https://x.com/abcdebwi/status/1784833863614902341?s=46
First of all, how were we wrong? Secondly, when did we say he needed new jeans clout?
Also you think if Taehyung was thinking about charts he was going to tell her he wanted to work with her because of new jeans success? Or even if he did tell her that, why would she admit that in an interview???. How long have we been on the internet exactly? Which artist ever says they're doing something because of the charts mainly? And you think if new jeans had flopped he would have approached her? No one's saying he wasn't thinking about the artistic side of things, but I doubt Taehyung hasn't come across multiple creative directors whose work he admired. He approached her for the same reason the writer of joji's glimpse of us also had a hand in writing friend(s) and also the same reason why singers also work with people who have contributed to the success of another song or artist that they like. It's not rocket science and no one's calling him chart obsessed because of it, that's literally what most singer do so...
They meet with people who have created successful art that they admire and they work with them, because they also want that level of artistry and the success. It's not a drag.
Jimin for example said he wasn't thinking about the charts when he made face because he really wasn't expecting much but that doesn't mean he didn't start thinking of it after he saw the success, they literally dropped remixes for like crazy after they saw the reception to the song, something which I'm sure he greenlighted. And with Jimin's next release I pray he does start thinking of the charts now that he knows how well he can do. Everyone wants their faves to not care about charts just to make themselves feel better, but in a way every singer do care especially when they experience the first taste of success. The thing is some singers are chart obsessed, which is what seperates them from the artists who hope to be successful but will not do too much to attain that success.

I sent an ask about that Hybe being a cult thing which apparently originated on allkpop and just to add an additional point, making up things like this is actually dumb because it dilutes your case. Everybody can believe Hybe is made up of some greedy soul sucking execs but once you start making insane accusations like this, normal people will start tuning out and all you'll have is the crazy demographic.
Sure there'll probably be a contingent of fans who will think Hybe is run by a cult (lmao how do you say this without laughing) just like the special folk out there who think doja cat is a satanist, but the more convoluted these theories get, the more you're going to lose the interest of regular people. I myself a seasoned Hybe hater am already sick of this because somehow BTS have become a target even though they literally have done nothing. Kpop stans are doing all this not because they believe it but because they want Hybe's downfall but I would bet on the fact that their overzealous hate and crazy theories is just going to kill the interest in this story faster.
Which is almost a shame because I would like to see Hybe dragged some more but they've managed to kill the good vibes of doing that by going after the wrong people and making this a total joke.

Jennie and the other Bp girls made a mistake by leaving Yg for their solo careers
Ok, they can release songs more often but does it really matter when the songs are bad?!
Solo and You&Me are so much better than that forgetable slow and outdated song and this Zico collab
Also the lack of Yg payola is showing in the streams
I can’t really see her really thriving music wise
The only one who can is Lisa because of her rich and connected boyfriend
Well she was just a feature and according to armys she didn't contribute to the making of the song, so the Collab not being good isn't on her. But objectively the song is good, I just didn't like it and I don't like zico's music.
Overall solo is the only good song she's ever released, I was kinda looking forward to her second song after solo but you and me wasn't all that in my opinion. The Collab with Matt champion was not good, and this Collab with zico wasn't bad but it was kinda meh.
She does great on kcharts and she's doing better now with this song because zico charts well generally, but internationally her Spotify streams have been in the gutter and it's extremely surprising, if we ignore the weeknd Collab that is.

KTHs and blinks are the two dumbest fandoms i have ever seen. Literally has less than half knowledge about charts and things but they love dragging others and yapping. Whatever happened about the "BTS's last weapon" last yr you might think they got humbled but they'll never be cause they cope with some rema records. They go around saying tae's album out streamed jm but won't look at the fact of diffence in number of songs, the different rollout as how tae's b-sides were released and how jm's were released but will just yapp. When i firt found out that he doens't have even a single song that had 300k units and friends is the only song that got him 300k units. Even only one of his song was 100k at that time or something. Idk why his stans think they can talk over jm when the difference is right there. His fbs are also unprofessional like jjks..just saw a kth fb saying "going against biggest fb and winning and blah blah" basically they were downplaying armys, they do it all the time they straight up tweet "the fandom will not support tae (or jk when it's a jk fb) so we have to work hard". Both of their fbs literally every single one of them are unprofessional where i haven't seen pjm_data and jimin_Global ever saying anything like that about armys and they always thank armys in achieving some big records. I know there's pjm fbs that started acting a bit unprofessional since face but these two big ones never did. While other 2s all fbs are same. Idg why KTHs never ask themselves that how he's 10m+ ahead in followers on insta and is 2nd most followed on Spotify yet others having less than him outdo him lol. It's not just armys who stan him for looks but his own solos are like that so it's better they acknowledge that sooner than later rather than blaming armys for being a jikooker when jm ain't getting half of what jk is getting from armys.
And you would think after 5 songs flopping consecutively on kcharts they would finally make peace with the fact that he just ain't popular there. All they should hope for atp is one of those viral moments because he's proven time and time again that he just isn't that guy.
And it's ironic how Jimin is the one with stans who doubt him while kths remain confident even when he hasn't achieved anything to make them that way.

But do you think that because of jk's songs like seven, snty and 3D which were like gp friendly jk's popularity in sk might have increased? See i know that the sk industry or gp does challenges that fit the tiktok kinda vibes and even jisoo's flower was done by many many ppl (it actually reached my country too where i didn't just see the kpop fans doing the trend but even some celebs who never does anything related kpop doing the challenge or using the song) and jk's all these three songs were are actually pretty popular in sk. alot of idols has mentioned him as their fav/role model and even has recommended other songs from his album too. isn't it like being popular and having strong fb a different case? So do you think jk is more popular?? I'm just talking about it based on how much ppl i have seen doing his challenge/mention his songs/mention him as their fav etc. If there's other criteria through which this get's calculated then I'm not well aware. I actually saw someone asking this question so i was wondering too.
Seven did well in SK because it did well all over the world. 3d and snty not so much, like crazy did better than both those songs in all major aspects. If a song's acclaim and chart placement lies on how many people joined it's challenges, then I luv it by Kamila cabello would be number 1 on the hot 100 right now. Some people just join these challenges for fun, doesn't mean they're listening to the song. Like we can all see the chart placements of both songs
Also this man has been everywhere since 2022, Hybe made sure of that and you're surprised he's being name dropped by every kpop idol. That's literally how idols move, they name drop songs or artists that are trending at that particular moment. If this year some other soloist that isn't jk gets the same coverage and success that jk got in 2023, they're going to ignore him and talk about that person. You think none of those idols listen to other BTS members especially jimin? Or have y'all deluded yourself into thinking jk's album was the only one these idols listened to and liked? I guarantee you that they're also tons of idols who listen to rapline and love their music.
But they're going to mention the one member that was being shoved down their throat because that's how they also get publicity for themselves. And it's one reason why unlike some pjms I will never hype these random name droppings from idols because I know how it goes. Next year they're going to focus on the next trending idol or group and not even acknowledge your fave. It's like how idols jump on TikTok trends, it's not because they like the song or the singer, it's for visibility.
Let me use le sserafim as an example (no shade to them), during their promotions last year they danced to flowers by Miley because it was popular when they probably don't even listen to it but what they got in return was publicity because Miley posted them on her Instagram. They mentioned Taylor repeatedly during the time when her name was all over the media for the release of her re-recordings, they've name-dropped Beyonce in a song they teased in Coachella which makes sense because she's been the most talked about person on social media this year and has one of the most popular songs of the year so far, now they've also been linked to Sabrina carpenter in Light of her new found chart success. That's how the industry works. Name dropping or joining challenges doesn't necessarily mean they're listening because those idols could drop their 2023 Spotify wrapped, and you probably wouldn't find any Jungkook song.
Jimin has spent a long time at the top of Spotify Korea and like crazy got almost 200k unique listeners on melon, just a 100k+ below seven, you think none of those listens came from idols? But why would they name drop him after all the shit that happened with his debut and also when bang and scooter made sure all jk's achievements stifled his?

I am not gonna lie- I find it a tad bit funny that people get upset when Jimin tops reputation indexes. Like the Forbes 40 powerful celebrities list. People are mad he’s the highest kpop soloist. They are foaming, and KTHs are just confused. They NEVER learn. He’s unarguably the one with the biggest brand value and name recognition from the group, it’s been that way since 10 years now. Why are you torturing yourself? Also those ones claiming “he isn’t even relevant”. He IS relevant because of you, coz y’all can’t keep his name out of your mouth. Be it about beauty, talent, dance, vocal, stage presence, ass size, lip size, the chick emoji, y’all compare him to everyone, men women alike. Then why be upset when he’s the highest in presence. Any way we move!
Also Jimin has one of the biggest solo fanbases in Korea, he rivals IU and lim young woong. It's not about which member has gotten paks, a number one on melon or the most Instagram likes and followers. Jimin IS the most popular idol in SK, just because seven reached number 1 on melon and like crazy didn't, means nothing when we all know what went down.
And if you actually look at it like crazy still is the most successful SOLO song to come out of chapter 2 it peaked at no 3 on melon, with almost a peak of 200k 24h unique listeners. Because notice how they only hold on to seven but ignore 3d and snty? Set me free pt2 had no longevity but It still reached top 15 on melon top 100 and reached a peak of 100k+ 24h unique listeners, vibe was also a hit on kcharts.
The fact that he managed to do this well on kcharts and consistently chart on melon despite years of being isolated from the Korean GP and with everything that happened during his debut is a huge feat. All he needs is the right song/right timing and the korean gp will fully get into his music. But even right now he's still the idol with the largest fanbase in SK.
Anyone can get a number 1 on melon these days if you're lucky, it doesn't necessarily mean you're that popular in Korea. If the Spotify SK charts wasn't enough indication...
They flexed those "industry insider" rankings all of 2023, rankings from no reputable source mind you or were sponsored by Hybe. And no one cared because we were well aware of the huge campaign that was going on at the time. But now it's 2024 all the members have enlisted and Jimin is still the only one who's managed to hang on to the top 10 of brand reputation.
Last year I prayed Jimin's debut will be one for the books, but this year I want him to take it further, especially with kcharts. Like crazy did good but I am hoping for something bigger than that this year 🙏🏾 because that's the only reason why they still doubt how popular he is in SK.
Also kths should never try to include themselves in discussions about SK popularity, he's never been one of the most popular idols there. His dating scandal with Jennie was the most attention he ever got there.

Akgaes always think bts hate doesn’t affect their fave and it’s annoying as hell, antis aren’t separating jimin from the rest of the members so siding with them is dumb as hell
Because some of these pjms are not only ex armys who became akgaes. Some of them were also Stans of other groups especially those who like groups like big bang and exo, so they have other reasons to not like the group.
You'd be surprised at how many pjm akgaes Stan these older groups.

Big hit has announced lawsuits against defamation and harmful posts about BTS.
What if some information is leaked in the near future, so the company calls everything slander in advance and intimidates those who will spread it
What do you mean? BTS are literally getting slandered all over Twitter by international and Korean kpop stans, and according to karmys it's really bad. Did you not see the thread about Jimin's tattoo? He's literally being accused of being in a cult. But of course let's worry about something that hasn't happened yet.
Sometimes I think y'all's hatred for hybe and desperation to see Jimin leave that place trumps y'all's love for him. Idc to dwell on what you just said because these knetz are now deleting their tweets about BTS.

Lmao and you know as much as this whole thing is frustrating, armys are also basking in it because they know the group always reaches new heights after moments like this. They're all over my tl making hit tweets about bts' 2025 cb, even the older armys, karmys and fanbases who left are back because of this whole thing.
Armys were crying saying that they wanted to go back how things were in 2018/2019 and the universe said here 🤲

This time last year, ice spice was everywhere, even all my army mutuals loved her and you got ratioed if you criticized her. But now it seems like everyone hates her, and there's multiple hit tweets a week shading her in some way. She got dropped and now tyla is the new Twitter it girl, and next year it's probably going to be someone else. Because if I remember correctly before ice spice, it was tems.
I remember when her old tweets were discovered and everyone was endeared by her, but now... The internet is brutal and extremely fickle
