Batfam but as my stupidest injuries pt 4. (Near death edition)
Dick: randomly passed out, was rushed to the hospital where they discovered his kidneys were going into failure, and he'd need a transplant. Everyone freaked out only for the next blood test to change completely, and nothing was wrong anymore (no one knows why or how this happened)
Jason: got caught in a riptide helping a tourist kid who didn't know the water. Got back to shore by pure stubbornness (and knowing how riptides work) and threw up from exhaustion
Tim: fell off a paddle board and hit his head on it as he fell and almost drowned from being dazed and winded by the fall
Damian: almost got tetanus from slamming his face into a rusty swing pole, then not getting a shot
Bonus Tim because in Pt 3 his injury was being scalded by boiling water: went into burn shock for most of the night

#kingdom hearts 0.2 birth by sleep a fragmentary passage#kh0.2#main road#castle of dreams#realm of darkness#scenery#my gif#i suppose this area is still within the same world as my last set but i felt it deserved its own post#because it's so beautiful here i love the atmosphere#some areas are so lush with pretty flowers and fireflies and a few lanterns scattered around that make the place feel lived in#while other areas are covered in an eerie fog with distorted structures and an uncanny sky shimmering above#i spent... a very long time staring at all of the foliage. nomura can you put a first person view camera back into these games please#should we question why the people who live in these worlds aren't sent to the realm of darkness but the fireflies are?#what'd they do to deserve that

The unique trauma of emotionally flaying yourself until you're inside out, bloody and raw and exposed but with your hands out in hopes that someone loves you for who you are, only to reject you. Then you realize you weren't being open, you were being weak. And then you have to do the process all over again, this time to yourself, reminding yourself of all the terrible things and how stupid it had you acting...all just so you can move on quicker.
That's the cost of love. Suffering a million tiny deaths just so you can feel like a living, functioning human again.

#kingdom hearts 0.2 birth by sleep a fragmentary passage#kh0.2#depths of darkness#realm of darkness#my gif#they did a good job making the realm of darkness look distinct from the realm of light#because this place really does feel like nowhere we've ever been before#the rocky pathways with no sign of organic life make me feel like i'm on the moon or an alien planet#it's interesting how fallen worlds feel like they're all stitched together between areas like this#aqua can simply walk from place to place without needing a ship or keyblade glider to fly her to a new world#though who's to say how long it takes her to do all of that#as if the realm of darkness is one big ever growing expanse of land without any known boundaries between worlds#we know that all worlds used to be connected in the realm of light long ago and i'm guessing that's the case in the realm of darkness#it's never been split or fractured by keyblade wielders so it still follows its own rules and laws of nature#that'd be pretty interesting#we see this area start as a rocky wasteland that transitions into flat sandy terrain from the destiny islands#but you have to walk through a huge blinding light to get there first which is really unusual#it makes me think of how terra and aqua were guided to destiny islands by a bright light#and how destiny islands appears as a ball of light on the world select menu in bbs#but why portray it that way? we've been shown before what the world of destiny islands looks like from afar with the CoM world cards#and it's not like they even needed to include it on the world select screen in bbs because it's not a world you can even visit on your own#i don't know what it's all supposed to mean yet but#i believe the islands are more significant than we know at this time and this game continues to raise a lot of questions#it's certainly called 'destiny' islands for a reason
