#i suppose one benefit of posting individually is i can post one a day? or eod? and i can see stats specifically per story
Text
i'm basically done with writing my will/hannibal smoking ficlets. there are over a dozen different ones based on prompts from an old post of mine ranging from about 500 - 2k words a piece. they aren't inherently connected at all and are meant to be standalone fics, related only by the overarching theme of smoking. i haven't written anything like this before so want opinions/input.
*if i post them as one "fic", each chapter/story will have their own tags listed in the beginning and all the collective tags listed under the "fic". if i do a toc, it'll at list titles and prompts. no toc then prompts will be listed before the fic with the tags for said fic. each fic does have a title if that makes any difference
also not inherently bad to rb but don't bc the poll is really just for me lol

could you talk more on eds and biopolitics?
sure, so this is broad strokes and it's also worth reiterating that the energy deficit characteristic of EDs can have a lot of different causes besides intentional food restriction—food insecurity is a huge and underrecognised factor here but there are many others. so when i talk about intentional restriction and the desire to be thin / lose weight, i'm not suggesting these are universal characteristics or causes of EDs.
anyway though, in the context of discussing these things, and particularly the relationship between 'diet culture' and EDs, a perennial frustration to me is that i often hear people fall back on the idea that the desire to be thin comes about as a result of the beauty standards perpetuated in mass media, fashion adverts, &c, without any subsequent interrogation of why it is that beauty itself is now so heavily dependent on thinness. after all, plenty of people have pointed out this is not a universal; beauty varies in different times and places, what is described or depicted as beautiful in historical records doesn't necessarily have much overlap with today's hegemonic standards, and so forth.
so when historicising this phenomenon it becomes very clear that the euro/anglo standard of thinness as beauty is, one, part of the ideological apparatus justifying colonialism thru the creation of race and white supremacy. sabrina strings and da'shaun harrison have written on this. two, the thin ideal is also inextricably tied up in medical discourses defining the ideal body as one that is economically productive, with the promise being that if the populace can be transformed into 'healthy',*** useful, hardworking citizens, the state benefits. control of bodyweight is therefore certainly a means of demonstrating one's supposed self-control, moral discipline, &c, but it is also a demand expressed in medical terms: these two discourses merge and overlap, and are both part of the capitalist state's transformation of its citizenry into a biological resource that can be controlled, managed, and exploited to bourgeois ends (profit): hence, biopolitics.
(***the story of how 'health' itself comes to be so dependent on thinness is obviously a critical piece of all this but this post is long as shit already so suffice it to say that this conflation is also not obvious, necessary, universal, &c &c)
medico-political discourses in the 19th century tended to talk about the dangers of both over- and under-weight more than what we hear now; similarly, if you think about something like wilbur atwater's calorie-value charts, these were explicitly intended to guide labourers to the most calorie-dense foods, because to atwater the central danger to be avoided was starvation among the workforce. these days in wealthy countries like the us, you are much more likely to hear about weight management in the context of demands to reduce; this is of course following moves like the WHO declaring an 'obesity epidemic' in 1997, and the rise in the usa of more explicitly nationalist, militaristic weight-loss rhetoric in the post-9/11 era.
however, my position is that these demands for thinness, and the beauty standard that follows and justifies them, are not a departure from earlier 19th- and 20th-century scientific nutrition advice, just an evolution that, for a multitude of reasons (politics, medical professional interests, insurance company practices, &c) has simply come to focus more on the ostensible economic and national threat posed by fatness. the underlying logic bears the biopolitical throughline: the state has, or ought to have, an interest in enforcing the health of its population, and as part of this demands that you the individual surveil and alter your weight according to the scientific guidelines du jour.
this is fertile ground for the development of what, in extreme form, we regard as ED pathology. first, because even the most purely 'health'-motivated individual engaging in the required degree of bodily monitoring and caloric restriction is liable to respond to energy deficit in ways that can become diagnosably distressing. second, because the morals of 'health' are never far from standards of beauty; thinness is sold in overtly profitable ways (the diet and weight-loss industries) and furthermore, our idea of beauty is often a kind of post hoc justification for the thinness already being demanded by state and medical authorities. which is really just to say, beauty is part of the ideological superstructure both resulting from and invoked as a justification for the material conditions of capitalist biopolitics. again this is very broad strokes, but imo it is a much more useful framework to understand EDs than simply presenting them as a result of desiring thinness because it is glorified in The Media, because... reasons (essentially the rené girard model, lol).

Hi how do you think Yandere Leo and Yandere Donnie (together) hcs from rise would act as platonic yanderes friends who don’t wanna share the readers with others , turtles rather keep the reader to themselves , but what if reader got hurt by one of the villains how do the turtles react to that 👀
A/N, not important: Sorry for the late post. I've been busy. Any criticism is welcome, constructive or not. This is supposed to be a gender neutral reader, so if I screwed up somewhere, please tell me.

Summary: ROTTMNT Platonic Yandere Leo and Donnie headcanons of when you get hurt
Tag list: @f1oricide @itsyagurlchip @lordfreg @acutiewithagun @rottmnttmnt2012 @lixnininotnay @lexiechr @ssak-i
They’d both be clingy, constantly vying for your individual attention while also trying to not annoy you to the point of attempting to remove them from your life. While they have you in their sights, neither is immediately trying to kidnap you off the bat. They like knowing you’re choosing to come to them. It gives them a superior feeling to the other people you used to call friends, even if they’re the reason you no longer have any other friends.
Neither let you go for very long without seeing one of them. They can’t go a day without checking in on you in person. Text or calls doesn’t cut it.
Leo loves to send you memes and funny videos, and gets upset if you don’t respond/react to them. He’ll probably end up at your window within half an hour of you missing a text, worried something happened to you.
Have slowly driven a wedge between you and all of your other friends, effectively isolating you. Neither Leo nor Donnie even let you hang out much with Raph or Mikey, preferring to keep you as reliant on them as possible. You’re their friend, and they’re the only friends you’ll ever need.
They’ll insist on sleepovers, or you staying over with them a lot. Leo especially likes to guilt trip you into staying over, constantly whining on how you’re avoiding them if you don’t. They’re trying to get you used to staying with them, hoping that the longer you spend with them, the less likely you’ll fight back when they decide you can’t leave.
They’re also incredibly protective of you, always judging who you’re with or who you want to make friends with. They have something on every person you try to form a bond with, trying to feed into your paranoia while painting themselves as your heroes. Donnie and Leo aren’t like everyone else, you can trust them.
Because of the different ways Leo and Donnie handle things with you, it ends up being in their benefit. You’re mad at Leo? Donnie will spend time with you and try to calm you down while making you see Leo’s point of view. You found Donnie’s tracker and are avoiding him? Of course Leo knew nothing about it, but can you blame Donnie? He’s only trying to keep you safe.
Their tag teaming makes it so you will never be able to have a break from them, and you won’t ever be able to be mad at one without the other coming to show you all the reasons you shouldn’t be.
They try their best to keep you away from the dangers of their ‘work’, telling you recounts of their fights while making sure you’ll never see one firsthand. They want to impress you and make you feel like they will be able to keep you safe, but never want you to be in the line of fire. Your safety will always be their top priority.
So when you show up with bruises and scratches one day, they’re both immediately on high alert. Both are nearly immediately up in arms and ready to kill as you tell them what happened. By the time you finish your account, Donnie’s already located the villain responsible and is having SHELLDON track their every move.
Neither of them leave your side until you’re feeling better and patched up. They’re delighted you came to them, and know that if they left now, you’d be upset while having to deal with your pain and fear alone. They’ll set up your favorite movie for you in the projector room, swaddling you in blankets and ordering your favorite take out.
As soon as you’ve calmed down, and hopefully fallen asleep, they’ll both go find who hurt you, and make sure they’ll never be able to hurt a single hair on you again.
When they return, they make sure to not alert you as they finally finish their preparations to the small train car they converted into your new room. The world is too dangerous for you, especially now that they’ve failed to protect you. They swear to never let something happen to you ever again, even if it means never letting you go. Which is fine by them, it’s not like this isn’t exactly what they wanted.

Abstracted Heart, Mind and Soul
Tumblr media
Art I kinda pushed out of an AU/concept that I need someone to write for me because I have too many WIPs.
I call this the “Abstraction AU” (unrelated to the Amazing Digital Circus, but does share some similarities), and here’s how it works:
The Basics
Inspired by Core Suppressions from Lobotomy Corporation
Basically, whenever one of the three undergoes extreme stress, they “Abstract” into one of these forms
The Headspace basically stops working the way it’s supposed to until the transformation is reversed: the way it’s affected depends on who’s Abstracting
The transformation only wears off once the side passes out: which sounds like it would result in a big boss fight or something
BUT, luckily for them, since Abstracting is basically letting out all your emotions and strength and fighting with all you’ve got, it is EXHAUSTING
so once it’s happened they’re typically not conscious for any more than an hour
Contrary to what you might guess at first, the side is still “themselves” while Abstracting: it’s just difficult to tell since the stress that causes the transformation also makes them act irrational and overly violent
Despite this, post-transformation, the side typically doesn’t have memories of what happened during the fight… until a few hours after waking up
It can happen to the same person more than once, but to Abstract for the first time you have to be pushed PARTICULARLY far
After that it gets a bit easier for it to happen again, like you’ve given into your inner monster
To further emphasise that, they all get “battle scars” from their first time Abstracting that stay with them for the rest of their lives
And to go into what the first time abstracting was like for each individual:
Heart
Abstraction is usually caused by intense stress.
While this is still true in Heart’s case, since being emotional is his job description, he needs to be pushed further than the others in order to Abstract
(because if that wasn’t the case, he would Abstract all the time)
Anyways, his first time probably came after days on end of extreme trauma
Specifically, trauma that neither Mind nor Soul did anything to try and stop
He likely Abstracted out of view from the others, and they didn’t even notice until Soul was like “wait why isn’t my trident working”
As Heart is… the heart of the Headspace, when he Abstracts, magic stops working there
His design was obviously based off of biblically accurate angels, as well as a Beholder from DND but without eyes so it would look like a heart
You’d think he’d be biased towards Mind while like that, but no- he goes after Soul.
He expected Mind to ignore him, but Soul? It’s his job to make sure things are alright with him, so why’d he just abandon him?
Even without the benefit of the Trident, though, I imagine Abstracted Heart wouldn’t be all too difficult for them to take down if they really tried their best, so he goes down rather quickly
After he wakes up, his head’s basically just in one big blur for a while until the memories start to come back
Then he just starts shaking and hugging them while constantly muttering apologies (even though he still has EVERY RIGHT to be mad)
”Battle scars” take the form of purple(-er) wings, fangs and a halo
Mind
Mind’s is a pretty different case
While his was also caused by days of repeated trauma, as Abstractions tend to be, his problem is that he kept trying to bottle it up and only started to show even the tiniest cracks just before the transformation
(after all, I don’t think they’d take a chance like that again after what happened with Heart)
He likely Abstracted right in front of Heart and Soul
His design was based off of UFOs, obviously, as well as a brain and spine. The eyelashes are meant to look like the sun’s rays
When he Abstracts, all laws of physics in the Headspace basically stop working and the place gets even weirder than normal
Despite having the advantage of Soul’s trident this time, taking him down is a lot harder since he’s metal: the key is to tire him out
When he wakes up after the fact, he’s even more of an asshole than usual, but mainly because he’s still tired and stressed
He gets all quiet once the memories start to come back to him though, like he feels bad about attacking them so violently but doesn’t really know how to express it
”Battle scars” take the form of rhombus-shaped pupils and back spikes
Soul
If you’re a time loop fan, then Soul Abstracting is typically what restarts the loop
He was designed to be the most humanoid to show that he was the closest to Whole, with three heads because… you know why
When he Abstracts, he fuses with his trident, the Headspace becomes black and white, and starts slowly to fall apart
Heart and Mind do not stand a CHANCE in this fight, hence why his Abstraction is inevitably what restarts the loop
However, if by some chance they lasted long enough for things to go back to normal, I imagine Soul would be… surprisingly nice after going back to normal
It’s like finally letting it all out made him calm down a bit. He’s still pretty awkward around them, but better than you might think
Even when the memories come back, sure he kinda shuts himself in for a bit and avoids talking about it, but he’s not as closed off as Mind is
Battle scars take the form of his right eye becoming normal (as in not identical to his left eye as seen in the art), and the left side of his face being covered in black (to match his face in his Abstracted form)

Pairings: Minho x Jisung x female reader
Warning: minors DNI, I post NSFW SKZ related content and I know I won’t be able to regulate/monitor every single potential interaction with those posts so please do not engage with my work or page whatsoever. Much appreciated.
Tags: polyamorous relationship, swearing, teasing, unprotected sex, oral sex (reader receiving and giving), bondage, use of traffic light system (green), orgasm denial, oral fixations.
Summary: Jisung can be a menace when it comes to teasing. Unfortunately for him, he ends up getting a taste of his own medicine.
Note: Thank you for the love on my previous work!! I’m currently in the midst of figuring out a schedule to upload posts since I work a 9 to 5. But I have a lot of concepts that I’ve already started on so I’m far from low on inspiration.
-
Jisung has always been the mischievous type; always riling someone up, provoking or taunting either you or Minho here and there. But at the end of the day, it’s all in good fun.
In hindsight, it’s one of the benefits of being in a relationship with more than one person, because you have someone - like Minho - to balance Jisung out.
That being said, he is one perverse individual when it comes to the art of teasing, knowing that neither you nor Minho know how to cope with his antics.
He can be out of the blue, spontaneous, and strikes when one leasts expects it. There are times where he can bait Minho with his charm or entice you with his words. Overall, he can be an outright torment.
Suffice it to say, Jisung had it coming for him after the very subtle yet obvious accounts of teasing towards you and Minho. Even in public he was a menace.
For instance, Sunday’s are specifically allocated to prepare for the week ahead. When the three of you went grocery shopping, Minho was in charge of pushing the trolley. Jisung - who was supposed to be scouting for items on the list, wrapped his arms around Minho’s waist in a hug, penguin walking right behind him.
To top it off, he’d slide and caress his hands under Minho’s shirt, smoothing over the plains of his lower abdomen.
The other instance is where Jisung would come up right behind you and press his hips flush against your ass when you were examining things on the shelves. He tried to pull it off as if he were looking at things too when in reality, he just wanted to tease you.
His needy behaviour lasted almost a week and a half. That’s when he brought to your attention that nobody had slept together in a fortnight, which for his calibre in bed, explained a lot.
“Everyone’s been so busy,” Jisung tried not to sound as if he was whining, but that’s exactly what he sounded like.
He was sprawled out like a starfish on your bed while you sat at your desk cramming notes for an important up and coming test. Jisung was lucky that he only had assignments to hand in which he worked on relatively early. In turn, this freed up a lot of his time.
“It’s almost the end of the semester,” you reminded him. “Everything is due practically all at once.”
“We haven’t fucked in two weeks,” Jisung moaned, flat out ignoring the real reason why he’s in this sort of predicament.
Your fingers stilled over the keyboard on your laptop, “two weeks? Has it actually been that long?”
“Yes!” He really whines this time. “Minho is tired these days too, and all I get is making out with him for five minutes before he wants to sleep. You’re the same as well.”
It almost made you laugh at how needy Jisung was. Then again, it sometimes escapes your mind that he actually has a pretty high sex drive which you and Minho were obliviously ignoring.
If there was one contributing factor to blame, it was University. Being a full time student with a strenuous timetable means a lot of sacrifices. Unfortunately, Jisung felt the sting from being a result of those sacrifices you and Minho had to make.
“I guess it has been a while,” you started to ponder on the thought. “Maybe we should make time for it this weekend since we finish on Friday.”
“God, please,” Jisung begged and kicked his feet.
By the time that conversation had ended, Jisung had packed his gear and left the house for the gym. It gave you roughly half an hour to get some real study done when Minho had arrived from his last lecture of the day.
That's when you decided to raise the idea with him.
“This weekend?” He repeated, unpacking his bag as soon as he got into his room. “I don’t see why not. Plus with all our studies out of the way, we’d probably be less tired right?”
“That’s what I thought as well,” you said to him. “I guess we'll let him know when he gets back. He’s been dying to get some action.”
A smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth, “that needy for it is he?”
“Oh come on,” you replied. “Don’t pretend like you wouldn’t act that way if Jisung and I unwillingly ignored your needs.”
You had a valid point.
Similar to Jisung, Minho could and would fuck on a daily basis - and has done. Only until the near end of the semester is where he dedicates all his energy and time towards his studies. It gets to the point where there’s not much room for any other activity other than working out, sleeping, or eating.
However, if that wasn’t the case, and Minho was in Jisung’s position, he would have no trouble mirroring the same feeling of neglect.
“I suppose,” Minho responded. “Did he have anything specific in mind?”
“Not necessarily,” you answered. “Maybe we could do something he likes since he’s waited for so long? Like…tying one of us up.”
Minho nodded, briefly thinking about the times where he had you or Jisung bound and tied in the bedroom.
At that thought, a sick idea pops into his brain.
“I wonder what he’d do if he had to wait a little longer,” Minho started to think out loud.
Your eyes narrowed at him as one of his signature conniving smiles spread across his face, “what do you mean by that?”
“I don’t know if you’ve noticed but he’s been a real tease lately,” Minho began to explain. “And I want to give him a taste of his own medicine while also giving him what he wants.”
At that point, he had put a spin on Jisung’s original suggestion. When he pitched you his full idea, you initially thought it might be slightly…cruel. However, all the times where Jisung had openly teased the both of you within the past couple of weeks seemed to justify what Minho had in store for him.
He preferred to think of it as an enhancement whereas you, on the other hand, just rolled with it.
From then on, the three of you headed into the rest of the week looking forward to that specific night. If you weren’t absorbed in tests, deadlines, and homework, then you were thinking about finally gaining the chance to spend time with the two people you love.
Therefore, Saturday night couldn’t have rolled around any quicker. By the time it did, you and Minho were free from studying and assessments. Both of you were in good spirits, but not any more than Jisung.
That morning, he was handsy. When Minho had woken up to make himself some coffee, Jisung followed him into the kitchen like a puppy and tried to smother him in kisses.
Then, when you were fresh out of the shower with just a towel wrapped around your body, Jisung had to restrain himself from taking you over the counter in the bathroom right there and then. Instead he found his hands gravitating towards your waist, pulling you in just to make out with you.
That alone was tempting enough to risk having another shower and though you’re not one to oppose bathroom sex, it would defeat the purpose of what was about to happen later on in the day.
When the time eventually arrived, Minho had made the minor preparations. He chose the lounge of all places in the shared apartment for this to happen. All he needed to do was move the coffee table away from the couch and replace it with a chair from the dining and kitchen area.
The next step was retrieving black rope that they had stored in a box full of other bedroom related items - items that weren’t going to be of much use to him today. He just wanted to keep it simple.
As Minho laid out the rope over the chair, a confused Jisung walks in with you trailing behind him in his black bathrobe with nothing on underneath.
“Who are these for?” Jisung picks up the lengths of black rope. “And what’s with the chair?”
“They’re both for you,” Minho answers.
Jisung clicks onto the concept, “you wanna tie me to the chair?”
“Only if you want to,” you reassure him.
Jisung had voiced in the past that he’s okay with on the fly, spontaneous bondage. In some way, he gets a kick out of not knowing what’s next until the last second, magnifying the thrill and exhilaration of it. Even so, both you and Minho know that it’s still very important to ask.
“Of course I want to. I’m not even questioning that, it’s just…” he trails off. “I just thought we were all doing it together.”
Not even the softness of his words could throw a determined Minho off his plan. He’s not stepping down from it, especially since Jisung doesn’t suspect a thing.
“Just wait and see,” you reply with a highly ambiguous answer that causes him to smirk.
“I trust you both as always,” he says before his hand gently reaches for your waist, leaning to kiss you. He then turns to Minho, also placing a kiss on his lips before taking a seat on the chair.
“Shirt off, pants stay on,” Minho instructs.
Jisung peers up with confusion even though he’s playing good and doing what he’s told. He does trust what you and Minho have planned, but usually in these circumstances, all items of clothing are removed.
Nonetheless, Jisung is excited and tosses his shirt to the side. He sits patiently, beginning to reel inside with eagerness.
Being a knowledgeable person that he is in the realm of bondage, Minho takes hold of the black rope after manoeuvring Jisung’s arms behind his back. He coils it round and round his wrists, securing it tight with a knot.
He then takes the next few large pieces of rope, creating a fastened ‘X’ shape across his chest. You’re glad to see it exposes both of his pecs when Minho fixes the ends around the chair to stop his upper body from moving.
Minho progresses onto tying another portion of the rope which he winds around and just above the band of Jisung’s jeans. This would stop him from potentially trying to lift his hips to gain any sort of friction whatsoever.
Then he loops and tightens some more rope around his upper thighs which frames Jisung’s groyne where his dick is already beginning to fill out.
Lastly, the piece wouldn’t be complete if he were able to move anywhere below his knees. So, Minho fashioned two final restraints with rope just above his ankles and anchoring it to the two front legs of the chair.
“Too tight?” Minho checks with him, looping his finger through the centre of the ‘X’ across Jisung’s chest to feel the tension. “Can you move around a lot?”
He tests the bindings around his body and shakes his head, “nope.”
“Good,” he responds. “Colour?”
“Green.”
Minho seals his answer with a lengthy kiss on Jisung’s lips before brushing past you with his hand lingering over your stomach. He stands behind you, untying the loose fuzzy belt around your front and peeling the robe off of your shoulders.
Jisung visibly gulps when he sees you naked before him, and not being able to touch you. Minho then drapes the robe over the back of the couch where he goes to take a seat, temporarily leaving the other man in your care.
You lower down onto Jisung’s lap, mouth inches away from his before you close the space between the pair of you. It was a small, sweet kiss at first. His lips are soft as usual, eager too as he inaudibly starts asking for more.
Jisung’s arms jerked so as to try and grab your waist, yet quickly discovered that they weren't going to move. No part of his body was going anywhere anytime soon.
It’s frustratingly arousing being restrained to one spot. He can only sit there and feel you do all the work. Your hands go from tenderly cupping both sides of his face to his neck, down his bound chest, to the sides of his waist, and back up. You want to feel all of his bare body, as much of it as you can.
Beneath you, Jisung’s cock continues to harden as you slowly roll your hips over it. Once he starts moaning into your mouth and getting greedy, that’s when you know he’s in the type of state Minho wanted.
But there was one final task that sprung to mind as you slid off of Jisung’s lap, lowering to the floor on your knees between his legs.
“Yes,” Jisung hisses out as he watches you eagerly, completely oblivious to what’s truly in store for him.
You unbutton and unzip his jeans, freeing his now fully hard dick through his underwear as well. The tip rests on his abdomen, sticky with precum.
Prior to the situation coming to fruition, Minho didn’t think his plan had any faults in it on his behalf. The only thing that stood in the way of being perfectly executed was Jisung’s choice of clothing - that being his jeans.
He would still be able to get friction with small movements if he tries, so Minho wanted to eliminate that right out of the equation.
He could’ve asked Jisung to take them off before they got started. Then again, it would’ve extracted a solid portion of teasing which was more than necessary to include. Plus, he wanted every part - if not most parts of Jisung - to be restricted, except for his dick.
“Fuck,” Jisung’s eyelids snap shut when you take his length in hand, slowly stroking and running your thumb over the head. It takes everything in your power not to suck him dry the instant you see his cock.
You know that he thinks he’s about to receive a blowjob, but with satisfaction riddling your brain, you take your hand away and crawl back to Minho.
Jisung lifts his head and mumbles incoherently, “what…what are you doing? Come back.”
Ignoring him was difficult, like swimming against your tendency to comply with whatever instruction you’re given in the bedroom. Unfortunately for Jisung, his needs were superseded by Minho’s request - what he asked of you prior to this entire scene materialising.
As you're still on your knees now turned to face Minho, he gives a fond smile and leans down, kissing you slowly. He licks his way into your mouth, tongue gliding along your bottom lip which leaves you breathless and hungry for him. It’s a loss when he pulls away, leaning back into the couch as his eyes scan up Jisung bound body and smirks.
He knows for a fact that Jisung is confused, pissed off, and horny, a truly foul mixture of feelings to experience at the same time.
The things he would do if he weren’t tied down to that chair…
His thoughts are derailed when you begin to palm over Minho’s hardened cock through his sweatpants. His hand rests at the side of your face, the pad of his thumb gently caressing your cheek when you free his dick.
“Fuck,” Jisung grunts, the chair creaks as he tries to move his arms once again. The rope across his chest now making lines of red on his skin, indicating that he’s been trying to use his torso as well.
“Go on baby,” Minho encourages you before you even attempt to look back at Jisung.
Those three words are enough for you to take Minho’s cock in your mouth after giving him a couple of slow strokes. The hot, wet, velvety sensation caging around his length has him leaning back once more.
From this position, he cannot only see your head bobbing up and down, but he can also see Jisung behind you - dumbstruck and rendered speechless.
Even though Jisung doesn’t have a full frontal view of your lips wrapped around Minho’s cock, he has no choice but to picture how obscene your face is.
As his imagination takes shape, his mind starts relocating memories of erotic occurrences where you’ve given him countless blowjobs, recalling how shameless you look. He knows you can get greedy and hot under the collar so to speak when his dick is in your mouth. This time, he can only witness that from a short distance.
“Such a good girl,” Minho purrs in a sultry voice, carding a tender hand through your hair.
Moaning at the praise, you carry on, head bobbing up and down until Minho feels like he’s on the brink of an orgasm. Refusing to let his impulsiveness take over, he gently brings you to a halt, ushering you onto the space beside him on the couch.
You lie down for him. Your knee closest to the back of the couch is propped and bent while your other leg remains resting flat. This was forcibly for Jisung to witness everything Minho was about to do to you.
Eager and impatient, he hooks one hand under and around your bent leg while using the other to gently caress his thumb over your wet entrance. He has you squirming and wriggling at the merest touch of pressure, yet hasn’t even arrived at the main event.
“Remember what I told you,” Minho hints.
Seconds away from being able to recall what he meant, Minho fills you with one finger, slowly sliding into your pussy as he plants distracting kisses down your lower abdomen until he reaches your clit. A moan rips through your chest when he begins to suck, your back arching which lands you closer into his mouth.
It doesn’t take him long to have you panting and whining which is where he feels the urge to add another finger. Using a repetitive curling motion, Minho strokes effortlessly over your g-spot that the continual motion makes your eyes flutter and roll back. Then, even as overwhelmed and worked up as you were, Minho’s reminder floats transiently in your mind…
“I want you to say his name,” Minho asked you beforehand. “I want him to think that he’s the one fucking you when it’s not.”
“That honestly sounds like borderline psychological torture,” you replied sarcastically.
“Good, because that’s what I’m going for,” he joked.
Looking at it now, it might not have been a joke.
As unfocused as your eyes are, they remain solely on Jisung as you try to concentrate on Minho’s mouth and fingers, dragging you over the verge of coming.
“Ji…Jisung,” you call out, almost sounding like a sob. “Wanna come so fucking bad.”
There’s warfare in Jisung’s mind. He knows he’s not physically able to touch you even though every single fibre of his being craves and screams at him for it. He’s forced to envisage himself where Minho is; face buried between your legs, making you whimper and shake around his head.
“Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god,” Jisung whines with a contorted face.
“Please Jisung,” you cry out, trying not to squirm your hips too much so that you can still feel all of Minho’s mouth. “Please, fuck, I’m gonna come.”
As your words reach Minho’s ears, the pace of his fingers steadies to a leisurely drag. Part of you regrets saying it out loud - now wishing you could’ve held off more or came quietly without Minho knowing.
But it would’ve been a terrible feat against the person below you who has an untamed tongue and fingers that make your toes curl.
Both Minho and Jisung know your body like the back of their hand. They would’ve known well and truly if you came without telling them.
After pulling away completely, Minho uses his thumb to swipe at some of the wetness on his chin and sucks it clean off. His eyes track yours to gauge what sort of state you’re in - grinning when he sees your scrunched face, clearly annoyed that he had just robbed you of a mind shattering orgasm.
His gaze then darts over to Jisung who remains painfully hard and completely untouched that Minho now starts to feel a slight pang of sympathy for him.
For a moment, he decides to abandon you on the couch and stands over Jisung.
Minho’s fingers were still glistening wet under the dim lights of the room, hand protracting towards Jisung’s lips who took his digits willingly. He allows Minho to prod softly around his mouth and over his tongue, taking them so obediently.
“Good boy Jisungie,” he praises him. “I knew how bad you wanted to taste her, so I thought I would be nice.”
There’s a long line of spit from Minho’s fingers to the other man’s mouth when decides to retract his hand. Minho then bends down ever so slightly to make Jisung strain and stretch up for a kiss.
He chuckles lightly then pulls away before their lips could even touch, “so needy.”
Jisung groans, throwing his head back out of pure frustration - utterly enraged that tears begin to form in his eyes. As his head tilts back up, they roll down his cheeks, splashing down his abdomen.
Two whole weeks Jisung has been waiting to get laid. He was so good at trying to give you both the space you needed to focus on your studies, and yet, this was this reward - or punishment for lack of a better word.
Despite that, Jisung had been a total tease, and in Minho’s mind, that’s three strikes.
He pets and rubs under Jisung’s chin who in turn looks up with absolute contempt, “Jisungie’s doing so good holding out.”
“Fuck you,” he mumbles with watery eyes and an exasperated expression.
“Cute,” Minho replies, a sweet smirk spreading on his face.
He’s going to enjoy every ounce of teasing Jisung.
Minho retreats to the couch where you still remain splayed out, anticipating what’s about to happen next. With the help of his hand, you’re able to sit up and stand before he takes a seat again. Minho then guides you around by your hip so that you’re facing Jisung.
At that point in time, he understood the trajectory of the situation. His dick throbs watching you align Minho’s cock with your entrance, seeing the wince on your face as you stretch over him and gradually sink down.
“Shit,” your fingernails dig into Minho’s taut thighs as he sits up, his cock slipping just that little bit deeper inside you.
“That’s it,” he breathes out. Minho missed being inside you so much that he almost forgot what you felt like.
One of his hands rests on your hip while his other arm wraps around your body, snaking up to one of your tits and groping to his content. Your head lolls back onto his shoulder, feeling like you’re melting as you adjust to his length.
Nothing feels more satisfying than being filled out by either Minho, or Jisung for that matter. They both feel pleasantly different inside you, consistently hitting spots that will always have you screaming and shaking.
When it feels right, you start rolling your hips little by little until you’ve built up a steady rhythm. Both yours and Minho’s moans begin to fill Jisung’s ears and he has no choice but to listen to it. His stare glues to your body as it rocks over and over again on Minho’s dick.
“Tell Jisungie how you feel,” he squeezes and kneads one of your tits again, forcing another sudden moan from your throat.
Your eyes flutter, barely able to hold eye contact with the man in front of you, “so…so fucking good.”
“Yeah?” Minho taunts daringly.
“I wanna come,” you whine, swallowing down a set of profanities before they leave your mouth. “Please.”
“No,” Minho grits flatly. “What happened to everything I told you?
You had to wonder at that point if Minho was punishing you as well or if he was just extremely determined to force Jisung through hell.
He was bound and deprived of touch, whereas you were getting what you wanted, but not the entire package. Then again, you never wanted to abandon the tingly bliss escalating inside you, even if it meant being deprived of multiple orgasms.
“You don’t wanna ruin the fun for him do you?”Minho provokes, his grip tightening on your hip.
You manage to shake your head, “n-no.”
“Good,” he responds. “Let me use you first.”
The effect that those certain words have on you are always a valuable asset to Minho and Jisung. Hearing them makes you feel like nothing but a ‘thing’ for them to fuck, and there’s some odd facet about it that makes it so tantalising.
Now you’re stuck with an insatiable need for them to use your body however they see fit, and the thought of it drives you insane.
As you continued to grit your teeth and hold off for Minho, you realised very quickly that it was taking every ounce of strength not to give in. Hearing his small grunts, heavy breathing, and embracing the way he clutches onto you makes it all the more challenging.
Suddenly, Minho swears against your skin, eyes clamping shut as he comes hard. The warm, almost fuzzy sensation you feel inside when he does now has you slowing down the pace of how you roll your hips over his cock, easing him throughout his orgasm.
“Good girl,” he sighs out contently, trying to steady his breathing. “So good for me.”
At this point, you’re utterly over sensitive after being built up to two orgasms already but forbidden to go over the edge.
Minho places a kiss against your back and taps your thigh for you to hop off him. It takes a moment to reorient yourself, legs jelly-like but you ultimately make your way across to Jisung.
Wearing a face of absolute devastation and pain, he blinks up with damp eyelashes. He doesn’t think he’s ever been this hard in his life that it has every muscle in his body twinging from trying to twist and turn out of the rope.
“Please,” he begs quietly while his eyes are tracking your hands to see where they’re heading.
Thinking that he’s had enough of the teasing, you waste no time. Straddling over his lap, you adjust his neglected cock so that it slides into you with ease as you fully sit down.
“Fuck!” Jisung curses through gritted teeth.
Meanwhile, from the small distance, Minho smirks to himself when he sees his own cum slowly leak from your insides when you start to lift your hips.
Jisung’s fingernails are digging into the palms of his own hands, the only outlet he has to manage the overbearing pleasure and relief he’s forced to receive. The alleviation induced by how hot you are inside consumes his body. It’s like an itch he had been waiting to scratch.
As you rock down over his dick, it’s hard not to pass up on watching his expressions. How he looks so relieved, in a state of bliss, and spaced out at the same time.
“Yes…” he sighs out, eyes rolling slightly as his head tips back over the chair. “Feels so good.”
“Yeah?” You ask him. “Been waiting too long haven’t you?”
He can only nod and barely speak, but he’s truly thankful on the inside. His moans and mewls are heavenly when your hands smooth over the lines of rope across his chest reminding him that they’re still there.
As gorgeous of a sight Jisung was to admire, you couldn’t ignore the growing ball of pleasure taking shape for the third time so far. This one feels different - stronger, like the force between two giant magnets repelling from each other when trying to connect them.
“I’m gonna come,” you whimper, feeling tears prick your eyes from the amount of pressure intensifying. “Gonna make me come so hard.”
Within a few moments, you’re clinging to him for dear life, rhythmically squeezing around his cock as your thighs tremble. A string of curses leave Jisung’s mouth right up to the point where he’s about to come. After that, he goes quiet with nothing but a silent scream on his face.
His head sways languidly back and forth like a doll each time you rock down on him to ride your orgasm out. It drives him to coat your walls white, his body shuddering in waves when he does.
At any point either of you are rendered voiceless, that’s when Minho knows you’re coming hard. The pleasure is that powerful it makes you incapable of speech or any sort of noise for that matter.
Once you’ve both ridden over the crests of your orgasms, the two of you remain as a conjoined mess, limp and breathless. Your body is slumped over Jisung, still sensitive and stretched over his cock.
Minho promptly rises from the couch to untie all the knots he secured to the chair. The rope loosens around Jisung’s chest, then his waist, thighs, and ankles. All of his energy has been drained as he rests there, completely fucked out.
“Good boy Jisung,” Minho kisses the back of his head and quickly dips out of the lounge, into the bathroom to get the shower running.
Your eyes open ever so slightly, and as soon as you’ve regained a bit of energy, you peel yourself back just a bit to take a look at Jisung. Minus the fact that there’s a faint smile on his face and his pupils are blown out, he was in total bliss.
“Jisung,” you whisper softly, squishing his cheeks together to see if it gets him to focus.
He bats his eyes a couple of times, “hmm?”
“Feel better?” You ask him.
Jisung’s hands smooth over your hips then behind to the small of your back. His fingertips slowly trail up and down your spine while he buries his face into the crook of your neck, resting there.
“So much better,” he mutters, warm breath fanning over your skin.
“Let’s hop in the shower,” Minho appears again, offering his hand out to you to help you up off Jisung.
You inhale sharply from the overwhelming sensitivity of having to move yourself off of Jisung’s dick. Once your two feet are on the ground and you have some balance back, Minho helps Jisung with his other hand.
“Had I known that you two were conspiring against me, I wouldn’t have worn jeans,” Jisung says to the ceiling when the three of you are in the shower.
His arms were crossed over his tender chest and head tilted back while Minho was shampooing his hair.
“We weren’t conspiring,” Minho retorts. “Call it a reward.”
Jisung scoffs, “reward my ass. Who’s idea was it anyway?”
“Doesn’t matter,” Minho almost laughs. “You got what you wanted didn’t you?”
“Uh, it does matter,” Jisung corrects him. “Because the next time we do anything like this, it should be that person's turn.”
“Guess it’s Minho then,” you say.
“Fine by me,” he shrugs.

In the mass protest decade, street explosions created revolutionary situations, often on accident. But a protest is very poorly equipped to take advantage of a revolutionary situation, and that particular kind of protest is especially bad at it. If you believe that you can forge a better society, if you are willing to run the risk of trying, then you should enter the vacuum yourself. But a diffuse group of individuals who come out to the streets for very different reasons cannot simply take power themselves, at least not as an entire diffuse group of individuals. Once someone goes in there and takes power in the name of the masses, you are talking about a type of vanguard—a particular ideological project, and a minority of people who dare to try to represent the rest of the population. In some of the more utopian strains of anti-authoritarian thought, the riot is supposed to become the new society, but this has not worked out so far.11 Perhaps it might, someday, but it would probably not work very well in the actually existing Global South, which is surrounded by so many foreign actors that might be sucked very quickly into an apparent power vacuum by the possibility of easy profit and plunder.
If some new group boldly steps into the vacuum, manages to stay there, and transforms society, then that’s a revolution. But if you find your political system broadly acceptable, or you don’t think you can replace it with something better, then the thing to do is to negotiate. That is called reform. You can use your power on the streets to extract concessions, if you play it right. But once more, this necessarily entails representation.
It was not just Mayara and Haddad who overlapped in their answers to my question. I heard it very often—it came in different forms, but I heard it more than any other response. I think Hossam Bahgat put it best, or at least, the most directly.
“Organize. Create an organized movement. And don’t be afraid of representation,” he said without hesitation, in his office in Giza, as his world fell apart around him. “We thought representation was elitism, but actually it is the essence of democracy.” I heard answers like this over and over, confirming research compiled by scholars. As early as 1975, William Gamson found that movements succeed more often when they deploy hierarchical forms of organization. In a wide-ranging 2022 study, Mark Beissinger found that loose uprisings of the Maidan type tend to increase inequality and ethnic tensions, while they do not consolidate democracy or end corruption.
“After Maidan, I decided I do not believe in self-organization,” said Artem Tidva, the young leftist who brought a red European Union flag to the square, as we grabbed a bite to eat in central Kyiv in the summer of 2021. “I used to be more anarchist. Back then everyone wanted to do an assembly; whenever there was a protest, always an assembly. But I think any revolution with no organized labor party will just give more power to economic elites, who are already very well-organized.” Unlike some of his former comrades, Artem never gave up on the Ukrainian uprising and stayed active in the post-Maidan political scene, working to push for center-left, anti-racist alternatives in the context of the new political order. But in Ukraine, it seemed clear that the uprising had benefited the groups that had already formed coherent, disciplined organizations before the uprising began, and we had seen more evidence of that earlier in the day.
“I definitely don’t have the same views on these things as I did before 2013,” said Lucas “Vegetable” Monteiro. He still believes that a better society must be born out of this one, not just created after some revolution seizes state power. But he now thinks that the Movimento Passe Livre turned the principles of horizontalism, autonomy, and prefiguration “into a dogma, into a kind of religion, and we could not turn them into real political practice. Instead, they became a kind of identity. And we ended up quickly crashing into barriers that we ourselves had created.” The MPL still exists, but no one who was in the group in 2013 is still a member. Looking back on 2019 in Hong Kong, Theo told me, “[It] was very fun to see the China building defaced, I had a lot of fun on the streets, but the decentralized nature of the movement meant that there was no room for discussion about how it should work, or how a coherent strategy could be developed.”
Not everyone I met came out of the decade adopting positions in favor of formal structures, in support of “verticalism” and hierarchy, insisting that representation matters. Mayara, for example, remains mostly true to the ideals she adopted as a young punk. But everyone moved in the same direction. I spent years doing interviews, and not one person told me that they had become more horizontalist, or more anarchist, or more in favor of spontaneity and structurelessness. Some people stayed in the same place. But everyone that changed their views on the question of organization moved closer to classically “Leninist” ones.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Go Rush!! Episode 90 Sub Release

Please make sure to read the FAQ if you have any questions.
There are translation notes below, so spoilers ahead.
-------------------------------
ドッチ・ジャーニー・ショウ! Which Way the Book Turns!
This is a pun-laden name from Dudi again. It can be romanized literally as "Which Journey Shall/Shows!", but it is also a play on 書 (sho), which can sometimes be used to refer to a book - like the one Dudi is reading in the card art.
I just tried my best here; I'm sure there's a punnier name that makes me go "oh my god why didn't I think of that" once YGOrg puts their article out.
お前の中でこれがしの自我を保つのは難しそうだ "Your body is unable to sustain my ego."
Clarifying here that Kuaidul means this in the sense that if he merges with Yuudias, something disastrous will occur... to Yuudias. He is willingly undoing the fusion, or reversing it, so that it doesn't harm him.
He is "letting go" of Yuudias of his own volition.
種の寿命が尽きようとしている "Our species is approaching the limit of our lifespans."
More accurately, Kuaidul is trying to say "our species is going to exhaust our lifespan", as in "use up" or "run out", but I couldn't think of a way to word this that had the same finality as limit.
It is very much with a finality that Kuaidul says this. Interpret as you wish.
-------------------------------
Some other easter eggs
In order for Shewbahha's card to activate, Yuudias had to send Leviaknight (Phaser's card) to the grave - kinda like giving Shewbahha something to eat!
Nyandestar's Cat Claw Girl is the last obstacle that everyone must overcome, which is fitting considering she was the first ever card created by Kuaidul
Similarly, the last people to give Yuudias the ATK boost he needs are some of the first people he ever met upon arriving on Earth... Yuamu and Yuuhi!
Dudi Nishaw, though he's part of the Dudi Ducasse, is in fact a Velgearian... due to how he's supposed to be one of the three "factions" fighting in the Velgear Star Cluster. You can sort of think of the term "Velgearian" as both a species identifier and a nationality. Dudi is a "Velgearian" species-wise, but he is Dudi Ducasse in terms of nationality. Hope that makes sense!
The "Andromeda-Milky Way collision" is a real thing that is projected to happen... in the next 4.5 billion years. According to Wikipedia, it's actually not going to cause much damage to either galaxy or the stars within it at all, due to how far apart each individual star is. In fact, by the time this happens, all life on Earth would've been wiped out about 3 billion years ago anyway due to the Sun's growing instability
In Mahayana Buddhism, which Japanese Buddhism is derived from, a "bodhisattva" is someone with "a spontaneous wish and compassionate mind to attain Buddhahood for the benefit of all" - does it sound familiar? It's Yuudias offering his body to Kuaidul even despite all of the wrongs he has committed.
I guess we now know why the ED is titled "Song of Departure"
-------------------------------
Announcements
Go Rush will be taking a break on New Years weekend and will not air an episode then! The next episode will be on January 7th.
As well, the entameSubs team will be on vacation for the next two weeks. I will be in Japan! That means episode 91 will be massively delayed until I get back.
There will be a dedicated announcement post of the vacation in a day or two, just so people are aware.
-------------------------------
And that's a wrap!
I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am for Go Rush season 3, now that we know that's a thing that's happening! It has always been something I wanted because I adore this show to bits... but I was so convinced we would be moving onto the next series already.
But here we are! The voice actor of Yuudias, Arthur, said that this third year was only possible "with [the fan's] support" - so it's wonderful and heartwarming to know Go Rush is very well received.
Merry Christmas, if you celebrate! Happy Holidays otherwise!
This is one of my favorite episodes of all of Yu-Gi-Oh! as a whole. I have not cried at a finale or even any episode like this since ZEXAL aired Nasch vs Yuuma ten years ago.
I leave you with a quote from one of my favorite games that applies word-for-word to this episode. Just replace "Ardbert" with "Yuudias".
Tumblr media
Yuudias chose love, and Kuaidul was undone.
Happy New Year.

I legitimately wonder who the target audience for TR3N is even supposed to be. It's clear the Tron franchise doesn't have much in the way of mainstream appeal. And none of the actors or narrative elements of the previous films are going to be featured. So, why is Disney bankrolling this thing? Did they just get sick of Leto pestering them and finally agreed to green light the film just to shut him up?
Yeah all of this. I honestly don't know.
I have long ago given up on trying to understand the choices of any large system of human actions (corporation, government, religion, political party, but ESPECIALLY corporation) as if it were a rational entity making choices like a person.
many batshit conspiracy theories stem from sheer desperation to understand just WHY these conglomerate entities choose to do things that, as far as we can see... benefit almost nobody... and don't even benefit the group as a whole, in the long term
but I think their choices are better understood as chaotic clusters of individual choices within them.
a scattered handful of individuals, in a few scattered, momentary, significant positions of power to make choices, each individually make the choice that benefits... them, personally.
their choices add up to... the Entity, as a whole, taking a direction that looks like... utter nonsense, from every perspective imaginable.
It's as if each cell in your body suddenly shifted to the course of action that... could lead to the longest lifespan for it, as an individual cell
many cells would outlive their individual life expectancy, by days or hours or minutes.
But the body as a whole, and every cell in it eventually, would die far too soon
and no one would ask why the body chose to do this. Because, clearly, it had no choice.
...that was much more serious analysis than you probably wanted. But it is 3 am and I have been in solitary covid confinement for a week and my filters for what I will post online are thinning dangerously, like a veil between this and some even more horrible world
tl;dr the actions of large groups of humans are chaos. but especially those who make up something like fucking Disney

AND IN THE CASE OF THE PEOPLE VS RANMARU THE VERDICT IS…
GUILTY!!!
(Here is the post this is all referencing)
Tumblr media
(Not my best work but I decided to make a proper ‘thank you’ art last minute, sorry it took so long) *Now I’ll give a full explanation (of what I’m generally thinking about saying in class) under the cut. also my pictures aren’t updated BUT they are very similar to the final product (my professor let me do some proofreading cause she’s gonna use my slides for examples)
Tumblr media
So the summarized version of my case (for all who forgot) is that on a school day afternoon Haruaki had gotten jumped on the academy’s roof while getting a package for the Principal. The crime scene was covered in feathers, papers that turned out to be photos of the main suspect, an empty box, and a sentient potted plant. After our favorite suspicious tengu was reported to be flying nearby and bragging about getting an “ultimate score”, Ranmaru Karasuma was taken into custody for this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Term explanations (updated version)
Ranmaru is high in practical intelligence. This type of intelligence means that he is able to adapt and manipulate his environment to his benefits. An example of this is when in Chapter 101 when he tells Haruaki to pretend to be his ancestor that he happens to look exactly like to manipulate ranmaru’s ex coworker, Byakko, into helping them fix a disastrous issue. This works since Byakko has a deep fanatic love for Haruaki’s ancestor. This shows that he isn’t above using people’s weaknesses and to get them to do what he wants. Knowing this, ranmaru can easily manipulate Haruaki into letting his guard down with what he already knows about him, the fact that Haruaki has a hyperfixation about sailor uniforms.
Ranmaru karasuma has an avoidant attachment style. This style of attachment is where the individual is distant, blames others for their mistakes, is unwilling to show their feelings, and has more positive views on themselves than others. He shows this attachment style in chapter 108. During a misunderstanding between him and the principal. his first response, after revealing one of his crimes, was to run away and blame the principal for not understanding him.
An even better example chapter 93, where he shows that not only does he physically but also emotionally distance himself from others. It is seen that after committing a crime that even the heavens could not ignore,he not only kept the information that he would be punished from the principal, but also coldly pushed him away. He even cracked one last joke before he got graphically punished, not even showing the audience his true thoughts and feelings. In this same chapter, we can see that he didn’t try to reach out to the Principal after his punishment, with their first meeting after the incident being unexpected, as if he was avoiding him on purpose. Because ranmaru is distant and unwilling to show his emotions and thoughts, the possibility of him doing something like stealing from the person he is closest to , the principal, instead of asking, means that he is likely the culprit.
Ranmaru is low in agreeableness. This means that he can be selfish, uncaring and critical of those around him, and rather unkind. Ranmaru usually steals from the people around him, justifying it by putting the blame onto the victims. He also bad mouths those close to him to people who don’t need to know. Towards most people, in most situations, he only show interest and kindness if he can use them for his own gain, such as getting money from or scrounging off of them. This makes him very likely to have committed the crime of stealing from the principal.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To the 33.3% of you guys get in line it’s time for cartoon physics bonking!
Tumblr media
anyway time for personal thoughts I guess…
Big thanks to all of you who had obviously thought really hard about this! And now I’ll explain how it is supposed to be done in my class.
We (my class) were supposed to use of preexisting fictional character’s psychological traits (as shown below) to use as evidence for their verdicts, and as time had went on all of his traits didn’t really…help his innocent case. Like a lot of examples that I was able to use only proved that he was guilty. And all of my observations (or at least the traits we could choose from to explain) were really making him come off as villainess. So I made it so that he was guilty (originally I wanted to trick my class into thinking he was guilty only for him to be innocent) cause I literally couldn’t defend him.
Me: I’m gonna make you innocent! Ranmaru: Good luck with that.
TLDR - Ranmaru’s traits and personality didn’t give me a good defense for him so I made him guilty…probably should’ve seen this coming since in his literal first introduction he called himself a villain but still
Thank you to anyone who voted and helped me with my project, it was really fun to be one of those people on here who does fandom stuff for school. My professor thought our talk about ranmaru’s attachment style was fun (she saw some of it) and was kinda surprised that we took it so seriously (which isn’t surprising for this fandom honestly). It was fun talking with you guys and seeing your tags (the most fun I had all semester)!
*more detailed case file in the next section (if you’re wondering about where I got that bar graph it’s from a big 5 personality quiz link)
**my final versions are written above so if the pictures are different now you know why (feel free to discuss about how I don’t know how to psychoanalyze him properly, jk jk)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
*highlighted parts are what I’m using in class and used above and my references are the same as in the original poll post

I'd be more okay with Crystalized being the ending of the ninjas' time as the protagonists if it wrapped up their stories better.
Tumblr media
Lloyd's arc about reconciling with Garmadon and unlocking his Oni Form amounted to:
Garmadon having a temper tantrum over Lloyd saying he trusts him too hesitantly ("Can we please discuss this after we defeat the Overlord??" There is no after, this is it)
Garmadon faking his death to make Lloyd go Oni out of rage and grief, only for that to fail because even after warming up to his father and realizing he's not inherently evil for being an Oni, he's still afraid of becoming anything like him
Lloyd yelling at him for faking his death and wasting his time on an arc that went nowhere and didn't contribute to the ending
Them smiling at each other as Garmadon passes him a plank of wood, as the second-to-last characters ever seen in the show
There's mixed signals after they bond in the sewers, even though they're supposed to be on good terms at the end. Is this just what their dynamic is going to be if Garmadon ever shows up again? They care about each other but they constantly argue because their personalities clash, like the movie?
(I saw a post the other day about how this was Lloyd amicably cutting Garmadon out of his life as a toxic influence and I don't.. understand how that's what they took away from this? Scenes like that final one represent the beginning of a relationship, or rebuilding one, not the end. They're literally rebuilding their home. Maybe I didn't read it right...? I wish I was watching the show that fans make it sound like in analyses. It's better than the actual thing)
I wish I had anywhere near as much to say about each of the original four ninja, but they barely had anything to do individually. As soon as Nya's back, any arc Kai and Jay could have had was done. Not because they learned to move on from their grief and overcome their differences, but because they no longer had a reason to be sad. Instead of her brother and boyfriend, Zane is the one to learn about the benefit of grief, but again, because Nya's already back he doesn't have to deal with it when he turns his emotions back on. Zane's time as the Ice Emperor was used as a gag, and him having any issues with it at all was relegated to a book. Cole
The ninja were all crystalized and none of them, technically not even Lloyd, intentionally contributed to the Overlord's final defeat. They destroyed the Golden Weapons because they thought they were about to lose anyway, and Lloyd failed to complete what his arc throughout the season was building up to. It's pure luck that the GWs and the ninjas' powers could transform into a dragon to save Lloyd and destroy the Overlord, and wasn't foreshadowed as a possibility until it happened.
Nya returns through her own willpower, which is great, because even though it undoes her sacrifice in Seabound, she had agency in it instead of the guys making the choice for her! And then she's sidelined for the rest of the season, her powers return, and any consequences from her departure are undone. She doesn't even get to participate in the final battle on the same level as the other ninja. I never wanted or expected her to be gone, but in hindsight, what was the point of her sacrifice or return if she wouldn't have a role in the ending?
Ultimately, the six ninja and Master Wu are staples of the evergreen LEGO Ninjago franchise and removing any of them permanently isn't an option, no matter how many times it's teased. They must've had no idea Crystalized would be the final season when they wrote her sacrifice, so they had to get her return out of the way as quickly as possible to get everything back to normal before the actual arc of the season began. Which just contributes to so much of the season feeling like wasted time, because the prison arc happens as a result of that..
Instead of stories that serve as the characters' and the original Ninjago's swan song, they just did whatever random shenanigans to fill up space, and then ran out of time for the stuff that actually mattered. We know they'll all still be around in Dragons Rising, but with Doc's heavy emphasis on it being a completely new show that you can start without watching Ninjago, I doubt it'll be continuing any plot thread from it, at least not for a while. It isn't like SotFS was, where it's just the old show continuing with a new name and still heavily dependent on the past decade of lore. This is a new show with a new world and new main characters, even if the old ninja are still there to some degree. It's Ninjago: Dragons Rising Season 1, not Ninjago Season 16/17: Dragons Rising

Dont get me wrong but that course of events you laid out sounds like a mostly good thing? Gabe saying anything even kinda resembling an apology is already better than the Absolutely Nothing I was expecting
i’m putting this under a cut as it’s long
yeah i mean i do think them donating to a relief org would be the absolute best thing possible bc like as of rn nothing abt this is materially helping palestinians. it’s all just noise which honestly i probably shouldn’t be contributing to bc i always knew this was going to happen and i’ve always known what pete and gabe are like. i’ve also always known what the other three are like but pete and gabe are the only ones who have done and said things prior to this incident (other than being silent) irt palestine that warranted outright criticism. anyway my main problem rn is w gabe’s statement.
the reason i’m unimpressed w it is bc i feel like it’s smth either he or an intern paraphrased in like two minutes (again, always knew this was going to be the response if any), and doesn’t address what the majority of the problem was imo, which was that he was parroting blood libel propaganda put out by the israeli govt re oct 7th. i haven’t gone and looked at the post myself recently, only seen screenshots of his comments, so idk if he took that part down, but that to me is the greatest issue. i never had a problem w him mourning the civilian casualties/hostages of oct 7th.
like addressing the discontent at all IS a good thing but i don’t believe his comment covers anything that he actually needed to apologize for and i’ve already seen teenage westerners who clearly learned abt palestine for the first time like. five months ago. trying to speak on this situation with authority that is not earned and not deserved.
and i’d like to be clear and say that i don’t believe all or even most blunders re saying something ignorant online require a full apology; i think that in most cases, deleting whatever was said is enough. i don’t think pile ons or bullying are conducive to rehabilitation or a change in behavior. however, to me, this is a special situation in which i believe a full retraction is necessary bc as i said before, he was spreading israeli govt propaganda.
none of what he said was new to me either. i know he’s the descendant of holocaust survivors, and more than that, i know his family had to flee europe and later uruguay. i know that like many jewish families do, his parents kept a box in their home in nyc filled with their passports and valuables in case they needed to get out of the country in a hurry; he needs to realize that this and so much worse is the reality that palestinins are living every single day.
the israeli govt preys upon and exploits the generational trauma of jewish individuals/families/communities in order to sow fear, terrorize palestinians, and further the colonization of palestinian land; i have complete understanding of how he’s been radicalized to this point, but it doesn’t excuse what he’s said and done and i think the only real way of fixing this is putting his money where his mouth is and making a public donation. again i’m not demanding anything of him, i’m not saying this will or won’t happen, i’m just saying what i think SHOULD be done and what would be the most effective from a harm reduction standpoint. can he come back from being radicalized to the point he was/is? i don’t know. i’d like to think so. all i know is that that statement didn’t address what i think it should have addressed IF it was supposed to be considered at all meaningful and i think the way ppl have been reacting to it is inappropriate.
anyway, sidebar bc i’m going to attempt to stop talking about this after this post and go back to focusing on initiatives that actually benefit ppl in palestine rn, but i think fans (who are not palestinian) who were shocked by this were living in a fantasy world and i think the way those fans esp those on twt have reacted toward meredith has been abhorrent. as i said a lot of this has just been noise rather than any action that is meaningful in any way and i think that while we should be realistic abt what we are going to get from them we should also be able to acknowledge where any actions of theirs are lacking.

Identifying "With"
The following essay is best understood if you have read these posts beforehand: - https://aestherians.tumblr.com/post/657145929223307264/ - https://aestherians.tumblr.com/post/672387556530405377/
Word count: ~1800 Estimated reading time: 6-7 minutes
There are some characters that are "literally me" in the sense that their journeys, their personalities, their trials and blessings, and their fears and comforts match my own to an often-uncomfortable degree. We are like twins separated at birth, like doppelgängers in everything but appearance, or like soulmates that were never supposed to meet. They are not kintypes. I don’t feel like I am these characters on any level. In fact, it would be more accurate to say that it feels as if these characters are me. But identifying as something is not the be-all end-all of identity and there is a lot of room for different relationships and identity facets outside the scope of kintypes.
Part I: Defining Otherheartedness
I won’t appoint myself as the arbiter of what is and is not a hearttype. I don’t think any one person can define “otherhearted” in a way that accurately represents every person who uses the term. Otherheartedness was originally coined with only real-life animals in mind, and as having an element of voluntarity, but these traits don’t describe most of the otherhearted folks I’ve talked to. To some users in the original coining thread, otherheartedness was also used as a psychological alternative to the (at the time) more spiritually minded therianthropy.
I can see some benefits to this vagueness. It would be helpful to have a term that functions as a catch-all for any identity that doesn’t fit into other categories, and which can be interpreted in many different ways. But I don’t think ‘otherhearted’ is the best candidate for this.
We’re in a bit of a hey-day of new identity terms being coined. Both widely useful terms like endel, othervague, and constelic, and more individual terms like folcintera and fictanthrope, have all been coined within the last year. Many more terms have been proposed, most of which have fallen to the wayside. The community thankfully self-regulates like this: If a term isn’t useful, no one will use it. If people use a term, there must have been a need for it.
I don’t think ‘otherhearted’ was intended to have a prescriptive definition like all these new terms do. That is, the definition given by its coiner was intentionally left up to interpretation, and its coiner didn’t correct people when they used the word in a way that strayed from the definition. Which contrasts with the very prescriptive nature of most of the terms being proposed these days.
I’m usually more of a descriptivist, i.e., I believe language is defined more by its usage, than its dictionary definitions. But in a community like this, which concerns itself with defining identities and ontological phenomena, I don’t think language descriptivism is very useful. After all, descriptivism is what led to the redefining of ‘kin’ that has happened on TikTok, as described in my previous essay.
It’s too late to prescribe a definition to otherheartedness. It was coined more than a decade ago and is so widely used nowadays, there’s no way a new definition would gain a foothold. But we can observe how people use the term to describe themselves and try to narrow it down to its essentials. To do so accurately and in-depth would require an essay of its own, but, in short, the only part of the original definition that I see people use today is “identify with.” The original definition included four other qualifiers: Identifying as fully human, specifically identifying with an animal, the identification being similar to a totem, and the otherhearted experiencing shifts as a way to become closer to the animal in question. Aside from the ability to experience shifts (though not necessarily as a way to connect with a hearttype, usually just as a side effect of being otherhearted), I don’t see the other qualifiers being used at all today.
So, we’re left with the very vague “to be otherhearted is to identify with something.” In and of itself, I don’t think this concept is worthy of its own term. Every individual on Earth identifies with something: Family members, job titles, personality types, fashion movements, colors, songs, stories, traditions, and so on. We want ‘otherhearted’ to be a useful descriptor of an identity facet, not a vague word to cover the breadth of the entire (non)human experience.
The real questions then become: How can we understand the phrase “identify with,” through the lens of defining identities/self-perceptions? And how can it be understood in a specifically alterhuman way?
The most straight-forward answer is that your identification with something has to be strong enough to impact your sense of self. In fact, I would say whatever you define as a hearttype has to be inseparable from the way you conceptualize your identity (of course without being something you actually identify as, as that would instead make it a kintype). For example, your hearttype could be something that has affected your development as a person, affects your personality, has altered your course in life, and/or influences your actions. To count as an alterhuman phenomenon, the identification would have to be somehow outside of the scope of what’s considered a “normal” human experience, but that I will leave up to interpretation!
Part II: Synpaths, vaguetypes, and paratypes, oh my!
Delving into the background, meaning, and use of otherheartedness might have felt like a bit of a digression but it was, unfortunately, necessary. Most of the following identity words were created prescriptively, so examining them will be quicker.
Synpath was created in 2015 to describe “something you identify with on several levels.” It’s the broad and vague term that ‘otherhearted’ could have been, encompassing everything from concepts to animals to characters. It’s meant to cover things that resonate with you, things you relate to but which aren’t necessarily a strong part of your identity, things you share a lot of traits with, and more. In this sense ‘synpath’ is a bit of an umbrella term. It can cover a multitude of experiences, the same way ‘otherkind’ can include anything from archetypal therians to original character fictionkind. In practice, it’s mostly used as an alternative to the -hearted suffix, usually just because “[name] is my synpath” rolls off the tongue a bit better than “I am [name]-hearted.”
Othervague is, similarly, an umbrella term, though in this case it was created to encompass every single identity facet/relationship that doesn’t fit neatly into any previously established categories. The term is inclusive of those who simply don't wish to bother with specific labels and definitions.
Paratype is a monster of my own making. I came up with it in 2018 and have yet to write a coining essay, but it basically includes every connection and relationship you have with something, that only exists because of your pre-established identity. For example, I have hearted-like feelings for bulls, but these feelings only exist because I am a bison. If I weren't a bison, I would not feel connected to bulls. Ergo, my bull connection is an off-shoot of my bison theriotype - bulls are a paratype to my theriotype. This also includes hearted identities; I am unicornhearted and feel connected to okapis because of it.
Comfort characters are just what it says on the tin - characters that bring you comfort. Beyond that, it's very vague. A synpath can also be a comfort character, as can a kintype or hearttype or any other type of identification.
Kardiatype is a word for a past life that had a profound impact on your personality and/or core identity, and which still affects you to this day, but which is no longer something you identify as.
Experience-taking is the process of taking on traits of a character as you read/watch/play through their story. It's often the cause of cameo-shifts and tends to fade away after a while, though it can cement itself into a more permanent type of identity, such as a fictotype or hearttype.
Constelic refers to people who adopt (and may discard) identities throughout their life with relative frequency Constels (the identities that are adopted) can be of varying intensity and presentation, from something as personal as a kintype to as separate as a comfort character.
Clicking is when you strongly relate to something, which is a purposefully vague definition. It was coined as a potential replacement for kin-as-a-verb.
Part III: Umbrellas are the mothers of invention
As I mentioned in the introduction, I experience another type of identification-with, which I feel is distinct enough that I don’t want to just lump it under an umbrella term. You thought you were reading an analysis essay? Ha! This was a coining essay all along >:)
As with all words, you can choose to use this or not. It's an opt-in label. If you'd rather refer to these types of relationships as synpaths, hearttypes, or any other previously mentioned word, you're more than welcome. But I feel like the identity deserves its own word, and not just be lumped in under the synpath umbrella.
I've decided to call this type of identity a "simile", which is typically defined as "a figure of speech comparing two unlike things" and its synonyms include metaphor, analogy, and likeness. In the context of alterhuman identity, similes are all about self-recognition through the other. They are characters, animals, themes, objects, and concepts that cause you to recognize traits that already existed within yourself. Rather than affecting your sense of self, as kintypes and hearttypes do, similes merely reflect what was already there. Looking at your simile feels less like looking in a mirror and more like looking at a portrait - a representation - of yourself. The character (if the simile is a character) can be used as a representation or a metaphor for yourself.
This is quite different from a hearttype - in a way, kinda the opposite of a hearttype. My hearttypes are just as integral to who I am as my kintypes are. I wouldn't be the person that I am if I weren't unicornhearted or spiderhearted or Tarzan-hearted. These other character relationships, my similes, don't affect who I am as a person. Instead I feel an identification with them because of who I was prior to knowing about them, and I wouldn't be a different person if they weren't in my life. Basically: Hearttype: "Feeling this relationship has led to the person I am today" Simile: "Being the person I am today has led to feeling this relationship"
In other words, this is what a simile is:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lastly, a quick copy-pasteable definition: A simile (in the context of alterhuman identity) is a character, animal, concept, or object, which reflects or otherwise represents who you are, without actually being a part of your identity. A simile may be described as a metaphor for who you are.

Why do you think Mike didn’t go to Taipei? Also I’m overthinking that dinner post right before but Apo wasn’t with him but what if he was? 👀
who's Mike ? 🤣 jk... the curse of Mild's name... I mean Mile 😛
a few reasons, all of which are business driven and not emotionally driven:
1) the number one being that Mile is CEO of another company 🤷🏻‍♀️ they left on a Thursday morning and were there all day Friday, two business days. he probably did the cost-benefit analysis of opportunity and going did not come out on top. KPWT was planned far in advance and there's actually multiple fan photos of Mile taking calls even at the airport
2) obviously Dior had him at the pop up so it's not like Dior didn't want him. NextGen Fashion Awards (Harper's Bazaar SG) is a fan theory but Mile had GNR tickets. He and Apo also had a run of like 4 events in that week and I think he popped up at the Tattoo Colour concert during that time period with a backstage pass so probably there was work that was BOC new year event related. Finally it was off handedly revealed to fans that Bvlgari invited Mile first but BOC claimed he was busy and Build went. a lot of reporters thought Mile was there 😅
three data points is a pattern... I'd say he's fine doing fashion things like the Dior event with Apo but sitting for a fashion show or standing in front of a storefront and having his photos taken might not be what he values for his entertainment career, especially if it takes a lot of time (involving travel)
it's not that Mile doesn't value fashion or his modelling career, but remember he booked the Maserati sponsorship for KPTS on his own before KPTS was even off the ground. He knows what his modelling contract is worth but it just might not be his main focus
3) in terms of making contacts and networking, he probably considered the cost/benefit trade off, but also if the goal is to have a contact with Dior/the Taiwan magazines, then Apo (or Pond because Pond went too) can do that kind of introduction.
tbh I'm not sure if Pond went for a specific reason but his presence felt a lot like event manager behavior where you're on the ground for the event. Mile delegating and prioritizing how to use his (and Apo's) time most efficiently seems like executive-level behavior. (which is ironic because Pond is supposed to be BOC's CEO so... 🤷🏻‍♀️)
4) now that I take a step back and think about it, I'm wondering if it's more lucrative (aka makes more financial sense) for Mile and Apo to have different sponsorship. there's a pretty large overlap of the fan base which these brands with more sophisticated marketing teams may have noticed too. so a thought exercise this way: LVMH (owns Dior and also owns Marc Jacobs, which Jeff was at in Thailand) owns a number of brands. if Mile and Apo have a 50% fan base share and 25% individually, bringing them on for one brand might mean 100% efficiency.. but bringing Apo on one brand with 75% efficiency and Mile on a different LVMH brand (which includes Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, Céline, Kenzo, and Loewe... and Bvlgari ) with 75% efficiency is then 150% market efficiency... you know? Dior took until 2023 to materialize but was likely in the works for a while. Just because we don't see anything doesn't mean work isn't happening.
5) finally yes it does allow Apo the opportunity to shine and get more entrenched in the fashion world which is also his passion. And Apo would have more time to network and chat without Mile being there. Mile and Apo having access to the exact same contacts believe it or not is actually less efficient from a business perspective 💁🏻‍♀️ and they both know that too. the reason KPTS got funded was because of both of their connections with different people/companies
all of which makes Mile's cringe social media sobfest even funnier. the heart wants what it wants (to see Apo)

What is Reiki?
This post will serve as an introduction to Reiki - what it is, its' history, what treatments and attunements are, and how to learn it.
What Is Reiki?
It is a Japanese word that is pronounced "Ray-Key." "Rei" means wisdom or knowledge, and "Ki" (aka Qi or Chi, like my username) is the life-force energy that permeates all living and non-living things and is all around us. Thus, Reiki is typically translated to "Universal Life Force Energy."
Reiki, then, is an energy healing modality that channels this Universal Life Force Energy into an individual, which touts various benefits, including: relaxation, pain and tension relief, stimulating the immune system, promoting natural healing, emotional and spiritual healing, and much more. Fun fact: Reiki is now in over 800 hospitals in the USA!
Reiki is a healing modality and NOT a religion. Anyone of any faith or belief system (or lack thereof) can practice and benefit from Reiki.
History
(In a nutshell:) Reiki was discovered by Dr. Mikao Usui, a Japanese doctor in the early 20th century. He spent most of his life searching for an ancient healing modality. At the end of a 21-day fasting retreat, Dr. Usui was apparently struck by a great light. He saw the sacred symbols he had earlier found during his research, and he acquired a deep understanding of them, receiving a spiritual empowerment, and achieving enlightenment.
Reiki was brought to the West by a Hawaiian woman named Hawayo Takata, and the teaching system she used is the one that is still used in the West today. It was thought that Takata's lineage was the only one that remained after WWII, but it was later discovered that this was not true, and that there is a whole different lineage and school in Japan that is unfortunately largely closed to outsiders.
Treatments
How can Reiki help me? What does a treatment look like?
Reiki can be beneficial for pretty much any kind of healing. It is used for physical healing and recovery, and mental and spiritual healing as well. Personally, I tend to specialize more towards the non-physical healing aspects of Reiki. Combined with my knack towards energy work, my style of Reiki is very beneficial for energetic and auric healing. It is also good for emotional healing, like moving through emotions, healing from events and people, developing as a person, etc. It can also facilitate spiritual growth.
Reiki treatments are typically done in person. At these sessions, the client will spend most if not all of the treatment lying down. No clothing needs to come off. Light-contact between the practitioner and the client may occur, those physical touch is not required for the Reiki to work.
If you are receiving Reiki, you might feel a variety of sensations, including: hot/cold flashes, heat/cool/tingling sensations, light buzzing, waves of emotions, deep relaxation/sleepiness, and others.
BUT. Reiki doesn't have to be done in person! It can be done remotely, and there is a special thing in Reiki to facilitate distance healings. It works just as well via distance as it does in-person. The treatments and sensations look the same as it would in-person, except the person won't be there physically (obviously).
How Can I Learn Reiki?
There is a common misconception that anyone can learn Reiki, simply by picking up some books and learning about them. This is not true. In order to be able to channel Reiki, you must be given the ability by a Reiki Master in what is called an Attunement. Without being attuned to Reiki, you cannot practice it.
Think of it like this: suppose that you find out that there is a new color discovered beyond the normal visible spectrum that humans can learn to see, and you want to see it. But how could you find it if you cannot see it? While theoretically possible, it would be VERY difficult. Instead, it would be much easier to find someone who can already see it and show you the color directly. This is how Reiki works; you cannot paint with this new color if you cannot see it, and you cannot see it without a Reiki Master to show it to you.
What Are Attunements?
An Attunement is a special ceremony that connects you to the source of Reiki by someone who is already connected to it. The attunement permanently changes your energy field in a new way that lets Reiki flow through you. In Reiki, there are 3 levels of practitioners, and thus are 3 attunements. Each level opens you and your energy field to more Reiki, with the 3rd, or Reiki Masters attunement, opening you up completely to Reiki.
The Attunement process is a healing journey of its own. Reiki increases your vibration, and causes anything that is below that vibration to filter out of your life. Each level corresponds to an aspect of ourselves - the 1st to the physical, the 2nd to the mental and emotional, and the 3rd to the spiritual. With each attunement, most practitioners find that they undergo healing in areas of their life that correspond to that attunement.
For example, my first attunement led to major diet changes. I suddenly lost a desire for processed foods, gravitating more towards fruits and veggies. I also ended up cutting out sugar and caffeine and other things out of my diet. My second attunement led to some incredible inner healing, including trauma work, removal of relationship blocks, coming out to my family, etc. My third attunement led to some pretty big life changes almost immediately, major spiritual growth, and there is more to come!
It is also common for practitioners to experience intuitive and spiritual growth after attunements. Many become more sensitive and receptive to energy, their connection to their intuition deepens, and some develop spiritual gifts. Personally, after my second attunement, I developed the ability to see and work with auras, and my third attunement so far has deepened that ability and made me much more sensitive to energy. Supposedly it is very common to develop the ability to work with and heal Past Lives at the master level as well.
My Services
When my Paid Services are active, I will be offering Reiki Healing as one of them! It will be distance healing (ofc). I am very good at it though, almost more effective than in-person. I'm very good at doing energetic and aura healing, as well as spiritual and emotional healing. If you want healing with something outside of those, I can do that too! To learn more, visit my Paid Services (available soon).
I will also eventually offer to teach and attune Reiki! As a Reiki Master, I have the ability to attune others, and yes - it does work over distance! This may be a few months in the future, so if this is something that interests you, stay tuned!
If you have any other questions about Reiki, you're welcome to shoot me an ask or a message, and I'll do my best to answer it.
Reiki is wonderful, and I can say with genuine honesty that it completely changed my life. I love it, and I'm excited to share this wonderful gift with all of you.
Blessings!

Gimme Aruna's love language. You can't just say "And if you really want to make my day ask about Aruna" in the tags of your nov 18th post and leave me hanging.
i had to go digging for it but anon is referring to an old ask game post
that tag was more of a general anything-goes for aruna asks but rolling up sleeves alright let's tackle arguably one of the most difficult (delighted)
it's tricky because as a mobian, this guy is ~15+ years out of context, and 13 of those years were spent under circumstances that left him empty and just trying to survive (again, but worse). even in a kinder setting now with a new community and support system, he doesn't really act out of love so much as habitual responsibility.
he cares for the settlement he's taken up residence in and the people in it, and certainly some of that care is more personal on an individual level than others, but he doesn't view it as "love". he does those things because that's just what you're supposed to do? it's the same as how he'd act in his capacity as black doom way back when with his hive, just with slightly more emotional distance. a lot of what he does is ultimately still self-serving.
he helps build up this settlement and the people in it not because he wants to see it specifically succeed, or see them thrive, but because he lives there. but he's also not doing it just because he lives there and wants a safe place to live/for the people to feel compelled to treat him well. and while that's definitely how it started--he had to learn new etiquette rules and such to fit in and be more generally likeable enough for them to accept him--he still lacks a certain emotional investment in them.
like, yeah, it's love in the most basic sense, but it's hard to articulate why it's also not? they're his people now, in a sense, and he knows he belongs there, and recognizes when they show him love, but for his part he's just operating normally. he can't just be a freeloader or treat them like he's their leader instead. that's not how things work here. and besides, he'd go crazy without anything to do anyway. so like i said; most of what he does is still self-serving at its core. he just balances that and acts in such a way that it benefits more than just himself.
he lacks empathy and is selfish, but not in a way that damages others--and ensuring he keeps that balance is deliberate for the sake of staying in people's good graces. it is the literal definition of manipulative, but he's not doing it out of malice (anymore). he just wants to raise his chance of survival. he has nothing to live for but himself and the memory of his people.
in the present, if you shove all of that aside, and squint really hard past his barrier of invulnerability and neutrality, he shows it to specific individuals the most in what he lets them get away with. he hates being touched. is not very gentle or soft or kind in how he speaks. but he can be patient, and affords people close to him (especially children) some of his learned softness. he lets these chosen people hold his hand (even if he doesn't understand why) or hug him for their own sake (even if he's not particularly keen on the idea) or talks them down from anxiety or an upset (even if he is so, so bad at empathy and lacks the type of experiences that would help him navigate delicate situations).
back when he was still just regular black doom with a hive is different, though. i should preface this with the fact i write the black arms, especially in the context of aruna's hive, very differently from canon; they were all individuals with their own culture, and the hivemind was more of a shared telepathy ability rather than ant-like.
he was not overly-affectionate or outwardly sentimental, but he loved them all dearly in his own way, and it showed in subtleties. he was their leader, yes but they were everything to him. he would forego meals if it meant feeding a youngling instead. wore rings of the fallen and cycled them out with the most recently-lost to honor their memory. allowed younglings to get a bit clingy even though he hated being touched even back then. helped raise a lot of them, mourned the loss of the adults with the culture-appropriate equivalent of funeral, never forgot a single one of them, kept their stories alive until he no longer could.
all he has left are scraps and a monument the present-day settlement helped build. but he respects the settlement and acknowledges himself as one of theirs enough to integrate some of their funeral rites with his own due to being unable to put what remains of his kind to rest in the way he normally would.
