I mean, George’s been showing an attraction for men (fictional and real) for ages, not just Dream. Those thirst traps he used to watch.. his fascination (not just jokes) with dicks over the years. Also he went from being very awkward/careful about any gay mention (remember how upset he got over the ’bottom’ comment?) to fully embracing that now. He even got upset when the sidemen thought he would be bad at head like? For me, in the past two years, he (seemed to at least) fully accept himself. That obviously doesn’t mean you’re ready to be out about it. But going out to gay clubs with Larray, being in their ’twink’ tiktok thing they did and all other moments.. they bonded over *something* surely. So yeah, I was shocked about this whole thing, not gonna lie. It’s the first time ever we’ve heard about him in connection with women, in a non-platonic way. Like remember when he went on that girl trip with the Botez sisters in 2022? Just him and the girls and them talking about that ’Zaddy’ waitress or whatever it was 😂 And all the moments of him seeming uncomfortable about talking of girlfriends and boobs and yeah, I don’t know. He’s always been just gay in my eyes (based on the things he’s done/said and not stereotypes or looks just to be clear.) Or even about just dnf either. Like take Dream out of the equation and I would still think that. Now sexuality can be fluid of course. Maybe he realised he could feel something for women too? Maybe it was an exception to the rule? Or maybe, he experimented a bit and what do we know what he really felt about it? People try things sometimes, for many different reasons. Maybe he had a little crisis or something. Maybe he was heartbroken over Dream flirting with someone else in the same room like? Or maybe he is bi/pan ( not trying to deny the possibility, I’m bi myself so.) But yeah, just my opinion, not some actual truth here ofc ❤️

I think that's a really fair assessment. From what we knew of his private life (up until a few weeks ago) he was attracted to men (real and fictional) and never shared details of any prior real life experiences with anybody (women or otherwise - first kiss, past partners, etc)

He's fine with the perception that people have of him being gay (obviously it doesn't hurt his career. not saying he's queer baiting) but Dream was very 'im straight. I kiss girls. I date girls' before he knew he wasn't straight, and when he started to realize that he wasn't, he still acknowledged that he liked girls while recognizing his changing feelings. George is just very private in general.

There's a clip from one of the very first dsmp streams where Dream calls George gay "he's like that one closeted friend who doesn't say I love you because he doesn't want to out himself" (my least favorite Dream joke ever, thanks) and you know how he justifies it to the (rightfully) uncomfortable chat? "I wouldn't say that if I wasn't 100% sure George was straight."

George's response: "Straight outta Compton"

I mean this guy has been actively denying any sort of public labeling of his sexuality by anyone for almost four years. Maybe he's in the same position as Dream and he just doesn't want a label (doesn't know/doesn't like the pressure/whatever) or maybe the public perception is something that he doesn't want. Whatever he is, I think it's pretty clear he's some sort of queer.

yesss stims!!! these are just a few of the characters and only a few of their stims, a bunch of them have verbal stims too :3

uhhhh big text under cut!

pollux flaps her hands a lot, she does it with her wings sometimes too! castor has stims aswell, but they're a lot less noticable, like leg bouncing or tapping on stuff. both castor and pollux release more star dust with stronger emotions (happiness, anger, sadness etc) :DD

thought (top right bm) picks at clothing and loose metal on his body, he often bites and chews on stuff, like his walking stick has quite a lot of bite marks in it from when he doesn't have anything else to gnaw on.

faith (directly under thought) shakes his head side to side, and he verbal stims a ton too.

L!kc (bottom right corner) shakes his whole body a lot

crimson (bottom left) scratches and picks at themself, it mostly started out as a way to sooth the itchiness from all their pinfeathers but slowly evolved into a stim of sorts

mel (sun inbetween crimson and L!kc) retracts his rays in a circular motion (?), its a nice distraction from ✨the horrors✨

most of my eclipses have verbal stims that they get rather embarrassed about :3

AroAce. He's in the spectrum and honestly doesn't really see the charm on relationships, he would get in one with the right person but doesn't look for it AT ALL. (He's the biggest simp when he falls tho).

Draken:

Straight Ally. The kinda ally that literally doesn't give a fuck. Would kiss a dude, doesn't care. He grew up in a fucking brothel, literally nothing about sex makes him raise a brow.

Edit: I realised I was wrong, he's actually the only straight character in this whole manga, he's just unrealistically perfect and that made me not see that he is a cishet.

He's so fucking Bi for fucks sake. He realised he liked boys before he liked girls and he felt SO guilty about it. He literally doesn't know what the fuck he feels for Takashi. Is it Platonic or Romantic Love? He decided it didn't matter 'cause he just loves him and that's enough.

Pah and Peh:

Both Straight but both experimented with different kinds of people. They genuinly don't care and will be your biggest suporters whatever you are. Literal definition of Love Is Love. Will beat up a Bigot for you and enjoy it.

Hina:

Bi Bi Bi (actually Pan). She had only one or two crushes in girls but she fell in love with Michi at such a young age she never really cared. She has fucking queer merch but the aesthetic ones. She is the violent gay, Be Gay, Do Crime.

Emma:

... I wish she was gay... She's so Straight. She found being queer weird at first but only 'cause she never saw it 'round. Once Hina came out to her in a casual "boys" convo she was just like: "Oh... Well, that makes sense." And moved on. Got a cute lil pin with her pronouns and put it on her bag.

Yuzuha:

GAY. She's a Pan queen. She has crushes VERY rarely, like, once every 80 years, but it never matters what gender they are. She has a "Beat a Right Wing" sticker. She is gay with a PURPOSE, the purpose is to make her brother mad. She got over her crush on Michi just to develop one on Hina... Give this girl a break.

Senju:

A romantic. Probably Pan. She falls in love every Tuesday, Waka and Omi have to deal with her talking their ears off about her latest crush "I'm telling you, they're the one!". Probably the most into Non-Binary people, she thinks it's badass and cool.

Haruchiyo:

He HAS to be Gay. Bi at most. He just likes men. He likes men. Have i said he likes men? First crush was OBVIOUSLY Mikey. Whenever he gets drunk he starts saying the gayest shit (specially towards Rindo) and the Haitani brothers just have to listen to him and pray for him to get tired and shut the fuck up. "Listen, if i wasn't into [name] rn, i'd probably fuck you too". Ok, they don't care, go to bed.

Ran:

Pan. A hole is a hole. No but fr. He doesn't care, he literally has no prefference, but actually, 'till he was like 20 he had NO PULL. NOTHING. NADA. Hit him up and he'll fold.

Rindo:

Bi. He likes boys, he likes girls, he has liked the random nonbinary cutie down the street. He just kinda goes with the flow but he has prefferences so he doesn't really call himself pan, he likes men the most, especially if they are smaller than him, he thinks it's cute. Another one with no fucking game, probably kissed Sanzu and regretted it instantly because why Sanzu?!?!?! He was drunk, let him forget it.

Hajime:

... Come on, he HAS to be Pan. He likes pretty people, whatever they are. He likes looking at people as if they were art pieces but he doesn't get crushes. Once he falls in love, it's for LIFE.

Seishu:

Probably Bi or the best Straight Ally. He likes people rougher than him and people energetic/extroverted/chaotic/talkative. Doesn't really think about his prefference so he doesn't put a label on himself. Whoever he likes, he likes. In the Ace Spectrum.

South:

... Listen. Ok. Listen to me. I swear i have a point just liSTEN TO ME.

He's gay. He's fully homosexual. And he has no real prefference about it bUT, he likes femenine men a lot. Or men shorter or skinnier than him. Or... Honestly. He just... Likes men.

Taiju:

Pfffft. He's actually Bi or Pan but so in denial, in the closet, a closet guarded by Cerberus himself and a thousand locks with a pond around it filled with crocodiles. He likes strong people who can tell him to shut the fuck up and encourage him to do better. He dreams of getting married and having a family. Ew.

Shinichiro:

He's Pan. He has an obsession with women but he gets just as down bad with men, or enbys. He likes people smarter than him. He preffers people smaller than him 'cause he gets too flustered with people bigger, but ohohoho, he LOVES heavier people.

Benkei:

I swear i can't decide. It switches every time. I think his sexuality is fluid and he's unlabelled. AroAce Spec tho, doesn't really get crushes.

Wakasa:

AroAce Spec, but he has TOO MUCH GAME. He pulls without trying. He is mostly uninterested in people and relationships. You have to be an EXTRAORDINARY person to catch his attention (I have this headcanon that he's lowkey into Shin but that's for another day). Once he falls, you are not getting rid of him.

Takeomi:

Probably fully Aro. His true love is money. If he got into a relationship it would be a VERY slow and robotic process, until he relaxes and is like... Huh... This is nice. Then a switch flips.

yeah fuck it. the way each saiki k character i care about is queer (i don't think any of them are cishet. not sorry)

saiki kusuo himself: trans (generally masc leaning, though gender is putty able to be molded to whatever), and im tugged between him just generally being queer (undefined) and ace, and aroace. i dont really wanna decide on one, i think both are good :)

nendou riki: just queer !

kaidou shun: transmasc and gay :3c

kuboyasu aren: bi! thats all

hairo kineshi: also just queer!

teruhashi kokomi: im partial to my transmasc hc for her honestly, but i also really love lesbian teruhashi! either way i think shes a woman lover at heart

toritsuka reita: bi for sure! i really enjoy transfem or just generally gnc tori, but typically in my brain i do tend to default to him being cis. i loooove playing around with the other ideas though :)

Have you ever written crackfic and do you enjoy reading crackfic or is it rather not your thing? (Question also directed at your readers of course.)

I usually don't write or read crackfic because it's just not for me, but I saw a scene today that makes me want to write a dead-serious M or E-rated fic about a "pairing" that is utter bullshit but still in-context makes sense and sounds hilarious and fun, ha!

BTW that scene is from the A-Team's episode "Incident At Crystal Lake" (3x25), where Murdock is fishing while sitting next to a male/masculine mannequin and flirts with it. XD I know it was probably just the TV series making a joke about Murdock's potential insanity and also maybe playing on same-gender attraction as a (homophobic) joke, but... that won't stop me from headcanoning him as a fellow bi or pan and shouting "one of us" in my head, although his flirting is directed at a mannequin and not an actual breathing guy in this example. Also I know it's probably not flirting but just wishful thinking on my part (or rather over-interpreting like a language-subject-with-text-interpretation teacher on speed), but at the same time... I mean... he asks the mannequin if he wants an apple (which is sitting on top of the box that's in his lap), makes the mannequin gesture "no", then says the mannequin is probably "saving your appetite" and that "it's in there if you want it" and then puts his hand on the mannequin's shoulder in that stereotypical couple-on-date-in-cinema-and-one-tries-to-make-a-move way and strokes the mannequin's shoulder, heheh.

Well... how are we defining crackfic?

One common definition is that lolrandom "I wrote this on a sugar high" shit that sounds like a 12-year-old. I have always hated that stuff and didn't write like that even as a small child. It's pointless to me because I don't find the style of humor funny or the characters relevant enough to their canon versions to scratch any of my fanfic itches, not even one for satire.

This isn't just "Wah, they're OOC": This is a fic that is entirely irrelevant to everything about canon way beyond just interpreting personalities differently. I used to see them sometimes from classmates who were just writing in-jokes about their friends using a vague backdrop from some media.

You can write about somebody having a "relationship" with an inanimate object without it being that type of crack—hell, without it even being comedy. There's some whole indie movie about a dude dealing with his social anxiety via pretending to be dating a sex doll.

If you wrote about Murdock having a fetish for mannequins or him working out his complicated feelings about men via "joking" about a mannequin, I wouldn't consider that crack.

If you wrote about him genuinely being in love with a mannequin in a tongue-in-cheek way as though this were a standard pairing, I'd consider that crack, but a different kind from above.

That Care Bears yuletide fic where one of them needs to be fucked back to emotional health and they all come shamrocks or hearts or whatever is crack of this type. It's goofy... but it's using a lot of well-observed bits of actual canon. I can enjoy that sort of thing if it's done well.

Ultimately, my question about the various flavors of "crack" is what is the point?

If the point is that it's funny, I'll need to share the author's sense of humor. This is the Achilles heel of all attempts at humor in art.

If it's just strange subject matter but written in a fairly standard way to be hot or to have a good plot or something, it's not really different from any other fic. I might not find it hot personally, but I'm a lot more lenient about that than about humor.

Okay, but can we talk about this one Christmas scene in BBC Sherlock S2E2?

Let's take a look at this one dialog that occured when John needs to stay with Sherlock to comfort him after Irene's death and his girlfriend is upset:

"You're a great boyfriend!" "Okay, that's good. I mean, I always thought I was great-" "And Sherlock Holmes is a very lucky man." "Oh, Jeanette please"

John has his priorities and it's very obvious to everyone involved (even tho I do think that staying with your best friend after the death of a person who was important to him is a valid reason to miss a celebration) I suppose it just was the last straw for her

"No, I mean it. It's heartwarming. You'll do anything for him. And he can't even tell your girlfriends apart!"

The fact that John's love is so unconditional he doesn't even care if Sherlock returns it reminds me so much of this one episode of Doctor Who where River Song compared loving Doctor to loving sun: "You don't expect the sun to love you back!" or something like this, I don't remember the quote and it breaks my heart so much.

(Yes I did a wholock reference, what are you gonna do about it?)

And I also see here how much he tries to move on knowing that sun will not love him back but he just can't.

"No, I'll do anything for you, just tell me what it is, I'm not doing, tell me!" "Don't make me compete with Sherlock Holmes!"

This quote is so important because even Jeanette knows and understands the entirety of the situation John's in.

Compete with Sherlock Holmes is something nobody can do (all his enemies get defeated as we know) but not only villians are a threat, even loved ones will always be on a second place for John. The first place is forever taken by this one nerd not knowing the Earth is moving around the Sun (even tho he's the sun himself).

"I'll walk your dog for you. There, I've said it now, I'll even walk your dog." "I don't have a dog!" "No, because that was the last one- Okay."

Even John himself admits his defeat and realises what he got himself into.

(He did marry Mary eventually, and even tho I love her character, I can't help but see her being another one of "escapes" for John.)

Please don't witchhunt me for "hating on straight ships" or whatever, complain at the directors and writers who made John so unbearably closeted any other of his ships just doesn't sail (pun fully intended).

All I see here is a man desperately stuck in his one-sided feelings and fear of being out, he goes through the struggle a lot of queer people experienced in their life.

Yes, it's been done many times before, but I can't help but say that the production crew are cowards for not making John canonically queer when his writing is so authentic it makes me experience almost physical pain.

Coming back to the topic of Mary btw, I think it was fucking lame in the way her destiny turned out to be. She deserved to have a good life with loving husband and a child, but writers put her in the story just to make John not so openly queer coded (bi and pan people exist btw but it's a topic for another conversation unfortunately) and they just killed her off to "sail" the johnlock ship in the end because they are cowards to actually follow through with queerbaiting (that's what the quotes for, because they haven't actually sailed it). I hate, and I mean HATE when a woman is added to a story just for a man's character development and gets killed off and BBC's Sherlock situation is exactly like this. Why even add her to the story if you don't plan on making her stay with John? The last season makes no sense and makes me so angry I often pretend it doesn't exist "BOO TOMATOES TOMATOES-" (it's the reason I don't want any new Sherlock seasons tbh)

Okay, this post is all over the place, at this point I'm more just ranting instead of doing a proper topic analysis but I hope you liked it anyway. Share your opinion if you have any, ig the Sherlock tag is too full at this point I don't really see people taking about stuff while checking the tag (saying this as if the first season didn't come out like 13 years ago)

Hello and happy pride month to you fellow queers🌈 have some headcanons(+some actual canon ones)of mostly my favorite sw characters/couples!

Ahsoka: lesbian, that business with Lux doesn't... doesn't count.

Kaeden: lesbian, hands down disaster gay panic lesbian, read the Ahsoka novel. It's awesome.

Riyo: pansexual.

Padmé: bi, absolutely bi, if you read the Padmé triology you understand.

Ok this has nothing to do with tsunami or even any of the fandoms you write for, but more in general. What's your opinion on changing a character's sexuality? I REALLY wanna write a fic about this one dude because he's so hot. I only write femreader, but he's got this pining "situationship" with another guy.... Would it be super bad if I were to make him bisexual? I don't want other people to think Im homophobic, but I really just don want to write a male reader...

mmmmm this is hard for me to answer cuz i don't think i've ever written for a character who's sexuality was EXPLICITLY stated??

Honestly, when I was young, I used to get really huffy whenever I saw a fic where a gay/lesbian character was turned bisexual so writers could pair them with a character (or reader-insert) that was the opposite gender. But as I grew older, I just really stopped caring because I saw more and more fics where the opposite happened.

And by that I mean, turning straight characters gay or cis characters trans.

For example, Miguel O'Hara x Peter B Parker. They both have (or had in Miguel's case LOOOOOOL) wives. Could they be straight? Or maybe bi or pan? Who knows! All we know is that they like girls. But there's still a shit ton of fics where writers turn them bisexual or gay so they can ship them together anyway:

Yeah, after seeing more stuff like that^ over the years, I just really learned to stop caring and just let people do what they do and enjoy whatever they want.

For me, I wouldn't change a character's sexuality if it's been confirmed by the character or whoever created them. But if nothing's been stated, then have at it. Just because a character has a boyfriend doesn't mean they're gay, they could be bi or pan. Or just because they're dating the opposite gender doesn't mean they're straight either. Etc etc. Same thing with them being cis or trans, or monogamous or poly.

Like, rn I'm writing bisexual Gojo, Yuji, and Megumi. Yuji and Megumi are even poly in my fic. Neither of these characters have been confirmed to be bisexual or poly, but I'm writing them like that anyway cuz I wanna.

If this character you wanna write about has explicitly stated that they only like dudes, or if their creator stated it, then I'd be a lil iffy about changing their sexuality. But if that's not the case, then just do whatever you want.

These are fictional characters after all, you're free to do whatever you please with them just don't be a homophobic jerk to your readers. I've seen many fics where authors change someone's sexuality purely for homophobic reasons, but I've also seen fics where they do it solely because they're thirsty as fuck for the character and wanna project into the reader and not for any homophobic reason. The character's just hot to them. (From ur ask, I can see that you're the second hehe)

Anyway, this is just MY opinion.If anyone else wants add what they think then go ahead!

I had this interesting thought the other day that Dean might just as well be pan. I think as long as he's having fun, the other person is having fun, bonus for sexy rules, he's up for anything and anyone. Thoughts? (maybe you don't differentiate bi from pan, and that is valid too)

for whatever reason, this reminds me of a conversation i had with my mother about a week ago where she, apropos of nothing, looked me dead in the eye and said "i don't think you're gay; i think you're bi" in front of my elderly father, who immediately said "I NEED TO WATCH GUNSMOKE" loudly and clearly, to let us know that he wanted to change the subject

i will firmly admit that the labels between bisexual and pansexual are admittedly difficult to discern (i have not been able to do so) and i have identified as both throughout my time. i DO headcanon dean as a generous lover, no matter who he is with, and an appreciator of the human form in all facets. (i also headcanon that dean eats pussy like a fucking CHAMP, so do with that what you will). i also agree that he is very much a "as long as everyone's having fun who cares" kind of guy. i don't think he ever labels himself. if he does, he does so in an "i like the person, not the genitalia" kind of way.

It's really something when exclusionists invoke the specter of conservatism as a "gotcha" against the people they're trying to exclude.

To a certain extent the logic can be followed; lots of assholes insist that gay people, lesbians in particular, aren't really gay, they just need the right man, or whatever. Backlash to that disgusting attitude is the reasoning given for a lot of the biphobic arguments I've seen. "Well bi people basically justify what those guys are saying, so clearly bi people are those guys!" Ergo, anyone who supports bi/pan people (or bi/pan-including labels) is a conservative as well in their eyes, trying to undermine the 'sanctity' of homosexual relationships by sneaking hetero stuff into it.

But hmm, doesn't that sound a little fuckin' backward? Frankly, with only slight rewording, sounds pretty close to certain transphobic arguments, which is why I said yesterday that the trans people I've seen this shit from should know better in particular.

Because where the argument falls apart is that it's ultimately still just another form of queerphobia. Bi and pan people aren't any less queer, and they're still discriminated against just the same as strictly gay people; still would be forced into the closet, identities and attraction denied, if conservatives had their way.

More to the point, this whole idea that their existence somehow threatens or invalidates strictly gay people, propping up that "right man/right woman" narrative, ignores that the problem is coming from the people pushing that narrative, not bi/pan people just existing.

Similarly, the whole argument against like, Bi Lesbians or other similar stuff, is based on not just biphobia but also a rejection of intersectionalism or split attraction or, well, identities they don't understand. My bi lesbian girlfriend isn't asking me, a monosexual lesbian, to fuck guys. Her also being attracted to guys doesn't undermine my lack of that, her still being a lesbian romantically, or our relationship. And like, I will admit there are microlabel identities, like he/him lesbians, I don't really fully understand either? But I don't need to 'get it' to accept it, and just let people live their lives and be true to themselves, because we're all in this together in the end.

I cannot overstate enough how little respect I have for this and other exclusionist arguments; it comes across like they either don't know about or don't care about the problems the queer community as a whole faces, and think picking out another subgroup to distance themselves from is clearly the bigger priority. Frankly, I'll always be more than a bit suspicious of that sort of stuff, because even if they're not a right-wing plant, they sure are doing the right's work for them, and no amount of insisting [X other queer group] are the real conservatives will change that.

My bigger ones include my elbow from a bicycle accident when I was little, a round scar on my knee from getting pushed into my bed frame, and a cresent scar on my index finger from it getting shut in a heavy door at work that needed stitches and therapy. I still cannot bend my finger all the way but gaming with a controller helped alot.

I think anon is overexaggerating about Nick saying he is straight many times. Context is really important. When he was doing PH him and Sofia didn't have a PR relationship but they played up to the cameras, like all actors do, to sell the movie. The media did the whole "are they or aren't they dating" thing. In an interview Nick made a comment about ex girlfriends and Sofia gave him a funny look. It threw her off lmao. Iirc he also made a comment about being straight during PH era. In his more recent interviews the interviewer was really pressuring him to talk about his sexuality and it was uncomfortable. The interviewer kept assuming his sexuality and he didn't correct them. Then there was a tweet about being an ally when he worked with GLAAD. I'm not saying that he isn't straight but I don't find that proof enough that he is, or him saying he had a crush on Anne Hathaway when he was younger or whatever. He hasn't said anything that Louis hasn't said when pressured to talk about his sexuality. So I'm still keeping an open mind. If he starts making out with women and shows sexual chemistry towards them then I'll change my mind. But not based on the context of the interviews alone. Would love to hear your opinion of the Variety interview Marte! Also, just like HL's fandoms he does have het fans who try and shut down any talk about his sexuality and ship him with every woman but at the moment they seem the minority. It might change as he gets more famous.

And why are you so defensive? You do know that he still might be queer even if he's proclaimed himself to be straight mulitiple times? It wouldn't be the end of the world if he was queer. He'd still thrive and have a large fanbase who'd support him, including 46 larries. Even if that's not his goal.

And to you the first anon, i am inclined to agree. Context and knowledge on how the business operates is important. Saying that he had a crush on AH means little to me. He might be gay or bi/pan and closeted.

But yk what is also INSANE and disrespectful, rude and disgusting? People who do it on the other way. When they try to prove to everyone that all of their favs are straight, even if a lot of them never said a thing about their sexuality. I’ve seen it happening too many times now and i’m so concerned. Those kind of people will get triggered just by seeing comment like “I think that X singer can be bi/gay/pan”. Some of them even DENY their favs own words when they gave a hint of their sexuality or some of them queer code. The best example that I’ve seen some time ago can be SUGA from BTS. Personally I don’t really listen to that group, once wanted to, but something ( fandom) prevented me from it. But back to point. There is a song if i am not mistaken that this man wrote himself and in that song he sings a verse that says “either is a man or a women”. Also apparently there was an interview when he himself said that he doesn’t care about the gender, when it comes to love, because he focus more on that person than either is boy or girl. THAT screams Pansexuality. And yet I’ve seen many of his fans Denying that fact by saying things like “but that doesn’t say that he is pan. He can be still straight and not care about gender”. Sorry. I didn’t know that being straight means not caring about gender, I always taught is being attracted to opposite one.

What I am trying to say here is that either it’s obsession about having gay favs and trying to prove so bad that they are gay OR aggression towards idea of their favs not being straight/denial even when some of them said/done something that can hint about them being queer… BOTH of those behaviors are Extremely disgusting, wrong and disrespectful. Because both are forcing the sexualities on those artists, when they might not be it.

Tbh I don’t even know why sexuality of their fav singers for fans is such important thing. At the end of the day sexuality (straight, bi,pan, gay, lesbian etc.) doesn’t affect the music they make or their vocals, neither it changes them as humans or their personality. So why is it so important for a lot of fans?

And no there is no such thing as “as long as they won’t come out, they are straight”. They can be any other sexuality, without informing their fans and the reason why they don’t do it is simply the very homophobic music industry and world itself . It is called protecting myself.

Listen to music, not to sexual orientation. If you are curious … cool. But if you’re Obsessed… pls stop.

i think a lot of ppl assume ppl are straight until said otherwise just bc as a society that's what we've been taught or told.

personally, unless an artist makes it apparent one way or another, i don't really focus on sexuality. i don't really care if they ever talk about their own or not. if they want to, awesome. if not, also awesome. i'm not stanning someone bc they're gay or straight or whatever lol

i think a lot of it has to do with connection sometimes. some ppl really want to connect with their favorite artist, and if that artist happens to also be the same sexuality as them, than that makes everything they do more special sometimes. and i think the reason some try to out their faves is bc curiosity and blurring the lines of the para-social relationship. they want to know and want to be the first to know too.

but as for the ones that deny their faves the right to express themselves…. it could be a bit of internalized homophobia. or just general homophobia. i know from personal experience internalize homophobia makes you do some dumb fucking things or make you think stupidly. so, to those that do deny, i have sympathy.

but only to a very small degree. once you start arguing with ppl about someone that outright has said that they are one way… you've lost me and you need some help, my friend.
