Inuyasha Characters x Butterfly Demon! Reader Headcanons

Featuring Inuyasha, Sesshomaru and a stunning demon reader.

Inuyasha

“Eh?” Followed by a prolonged pause and confused blinking. That’s the reaction you always get when people learn you’re Inuyasha’s girlfriend. You’re always amused by it and clap your hands in delight, especially because you get to see Inuyasha’s response to it. “What’s so shocking about it?!” He barks, appalled. To everyone’s defense, it is rather unusual to see a demon of such elegance and charm followed closely by a half-human, unrefined mutt.

But you can’t get enough of his antics. He’s raw and unfiltered. He wears his heart on his sleeve and even when he tries to deny his feelings, you can read him like an open book. Most demons are prideful and scheming as you’ve learned in your very long life, but Inuyasha appeared to you like a breath of fresh air and you’re grateful to see someone with a humane side to them. Humans have always fascinated you and Inuyasha is now your source of never ending curiosity.

Inuyasha, on the other hand, took some time to get used to you. You’re stunningly beautiful yet sly like a fox and he was very suspicious of your intentions in the beginning. Always with a smile on your face, he could never tell what you’re thinking. Your graceful display of power would also remind him of Sesshomaru and therefore his inability to compare, given his human side, so he’d quietly retreat into insecure annoyance. He was running an imaginary race for power, until he’d come to the realization that you were never part of it in the first place. You yearn for peace and quiet, completely uninterested in this competition of strength.

In a way, you both complete each other. Inuyasha has helped you uncover an intricate spectrum of emotions that might’ve remained dormant had you not encountered him. And you’ve allowed him to find a sense of peace. In the tumultuous search for the Sacred Jewel, you’ve taught him that sometimes it’s okay to just enjoy life as it is. His desire for power has slowly been replaced by his blooming love for you.

Your guilty pleasure is teasing him relentlessly. You can easily tell just how attractive he finds you and how embarrassed it makes him. So every now and then you’ll ambush him with flirty innuendos and watch him squirm, frustrated and red-faced, while you tilt your head in innocent confusion. You find his genuineness adorable.

Sesshomaru

While Sesshomaru has grown to be more accepting of humans, he can’t help but feel a certain sense of pride about having a partner of your prestige. You’re both powerful demons and your union has only further spread your envying reputation. It feels almost natural that the two of you ended up together.

It was actually you that softened his views towards humans. He found your interest in the feeble creatures to be downright ridiculous and borderline foolish. Why should you, a vastly superior demon, concern yourself with such pitiful matters? Yet this is what intrigued him most about you. You don’t seem to think like other demons and your behavior and actions are often times unpredictable to him. There’s a mysterious twist to your cunning smile and he’s surprisingly eager to decipher it.

Jaken likes to boast his gratitude for you. Ever since you’ve joined them on their travels, Lord Sesshomaru seems to frown less, and Jaken himself has gained a conversation partner that’s not threateningly taciturn and might punish him at any moment. Rin often marvels at your beauty and charisma and wishes she could grow up to be like you. Just like Jaken, she’s thankful you’ve helped Sesshomaru leave some of his hate behind. His eyes hold less malice, and when rested upon your figure there’s a glint of adoration that can be discerned.

Similar to you, Sesshomaru is entirely indifferent to the Sacred Jewel. He’s confident in his strength and abilities and has no need for external aid. Once this entire mess involving Naraku is over, he might even be tempted to give in to your dream of a peaceful, quiet life. He could use some rest, especially if it’s in your company.

Sesshomaru is very reserved in displaying his emotions, though he can be overly affectionate after brief encounters with other males. Your looks are enough to turn anyone’s head and while he is certain you wouldn’t leave him for anything less, he can’t help the faint jealousy that wells up in his chest. He’d rather let it be known who you belong to. You like his possessiveness, but might occasionally tease him by saying that one simply cannot cage a butterfly. It will rest on your shoulder out of its own volition.

and i realise some people don’t read the sequels to fanfics (i know), but i beg of you. read the sequel too. if anything, i think the sequel was my favourite bit. and i know some people don’t like the pregnancy trope, but i’m telling you there definitely is a time and place for it. and this is the time! and the place! trust me.

did i cry at the end of this fic? i can’t remember. but the probability is higher than i’d like it to be.

i love space!au fics with my whole heart and ass. honestly, every time one comes up on my page, i have to save it. it’s a reflex at this point, they’re just too good. you know what is also too good? the built up tension within this fic. jaw-dropping.

i’m not giving out any spoilers, but the author really said, bonk— here is the nastiest smut you’ve ever read in your life. take it, or get fucked. and of course, i took it. but nothing really prepares you for that atmosphere change. not even the sex club was remotely ready. and it’s a sex club.

not going to lie, before writing this essay, i actually went back and read it again, just to make sure i was in the right mind the first time i read it. and yep, sure was. it’s just shocking how insane this fic is.

we’ve all done that thing where we’ve accidentally eavesdropped onto something we shouldn’t of and one thing leads to another and boom, you find yourself misreading the whole situation. and you’re lying if you say you haven’t.

well, that’s this fic for you. times a thousand. honestly, enemies to lovers fics never do me wrong. they’re always a joy to read — the thrill and the very, very prominent sexual tension keeps you excited, waiting on the edge of your seat to see how everything plans out.

my point? this fic never bores you out. read it a thousand times and it still feels like the first. and not a lot of fanfics have that power, i’ll tell you that. a few, yes. but not a lot.

don’t take reading this for the first time for granted. wish i had that privilege. jealous.

i would happily write a five thousand word essay for you on how fucking good this plot slash idea was, and an additional ten thousand on how sad, but i don’t think my fingers— nor my mental state would be able to go through that. not again. please.

but as i mentioned in the last fic above, do not take reading this for the first time for granted. however, only because you will lose all rationality.

i love, love, love the concept of soulmates, fate, destiny, whatever. the whole shabang. i bathe in it. so, of course, this fic was a big hit with me. and if that too is your thing, and you love the idea of two souls being intwined inside and out, this is your golden ticket.

@kookskingdom is mentioned in this chapter twice. but can you blame me? you find a ticket to the chocolate factory, of course you’re going to hold onto it as tightly as possible.

you know those dramas where both the two main characters are so completely smitten with each other to the point you’re practically screaming at your screen for them to “just kiss already!” but won’t because they’re hopelessly oblivious, even though everyone is telling them how in love they both are? yeah, that’s this fic. in a nutshell.

though in their defence, i feel i would definitely do the same. but still, does it stop me from getting frustrated with them? no. i was absolutely raging.

this cute story was so, so sweet i was practically clutching the phone for an emergency appointment to the dentist. my teeth were rotting with all the added sugar, like hello? my teeth? but just like chocolate is, it’s addicting. and you can’t stop yourself.

perhaps i’m just a sucker for friends to lovers fics, but this one particularly caught my attention. it’s 5k of pure infuriation, and 2k of fluff.

but so worth the impatience.

first bullet point is just the thought of fuck me, ‘cause where do i start with this?

separation — in some ways — is the easy way out. you just get up and leave. walk out, whatever. boom, just like that. but the emotional repercussions are what make it so distressing. making that daunting decision to leave something— someone in our past, may be one of the hardest things we humans ever have to do.

this fic goes through the rough battle of what it means to be committed to a person. the battles of finally giving up on someone you once thought the world of. and honestly? that may be my worst fear. for someone to love me so deeply, and then lose that over time to see me as nothing more than an inconvenience of their past.

never been through divorce. hopefully you, nor i, will ever have to. but after reading this, i don’t think we have to experience it.

this amazing, yet painfully angsty fic does it for us. and a fucking incredible ending.

this got a crown on the shakespeare state chart purely for the fact i have never played valorant in my life, and single-handedly managed to impress my friends — who are obsessed with said game — about my newfound knowledge of gaming, purely from this fic alone. felt like a fucking genius.

i was going to add this to part four, but i genuinely had to swap some fics around to put this baby in. i found space for her, so she’s here. and deservedly so. why wait?

this fic does a very good job of highlighting the deep misogyny and sexism that runs within the gaming community towards women. like, can women not be good at gaming too? do people really believe gaming is purely a man thing? is this really the society we live in? yikes.

and if you do happen to read this fic and reach that argument scene with jungkook, please let me know. i want you to know i, too, was absolutely fuming. phones were thrown. naughty words were said. angry voice messages to said best friend were recorded.

final special mention for the smut scene. had me sweating like a sinner in church. lord have mercy.

take a shot every time this author is mentioned within this series. you’ll end up blackout pissed. it’s a shame they left this platform, but i hope they’re doing well. their fics have really left an impact on me. and i’ll forever be grateful.

ah, yes. the cheesy clichéd trope of the mean girl and the nerd. a mix of two completely different personalities and flavours that supposedly fit together like two broken pieces of a puzzle. the very foundation of a 2000’s romcom. an iconic pairing that has been hammered into us by the media since day one.

it’s the opposites attract that lured me in initially, but it’s the character development throughout the story that nestled itself into my heart, and got me to stay. this fic holds dear to me still.

i have gatekept this fic long enough, and i am trusting you to bear it with love and extreme care. like you’re holding a small, fragile baby in your arms. do not let me down. please.

one more thing, don’t share this with shakespeare. every time he’s brought it up, i’ve told him it was a really weird dream and he’s only just started to believe me. yes, i feel shit about it, but it has to be done. the man’s a menace.

i genuinely wish spidey!jk was a real adaptation. because even though andrew is my favourite spiderman, i fear there is a large difference between the pair that separates them. andrew can play peter parker. jungkook can (re: could) play peter parker. but could andrew play jungkook? no.

in this fic, the whole characterisation of both jungkook as spiderman and the soulmate!reader is so well written. you can perfectly picture jungkook being that awkward high school boy by day, and secret superhero vigilante by night. i mean, fuck me. how is he not knackered all the time?

mixing in that final zest of soulmates!au everyone (re: me) loves, you’ve got yourself a hell of a plot line.

romeo and juliet were not soulmates, shakespeare. they were children. why aren’t you taking notes? stop talking to the queen. she’s tired of all your bullshit. and so are we.

Have some Girl Dad!Bi-Han Headcanons:

- [ ] Bi-Han is the absolute king of imaginary tea parties, he lets his daughter dress him up in a tutu and wears whatever tiara or hat she picks out for him as well as dainty lace gloves. He always sips the imaginary tea and comments about what a wonderful hostess his daughter is and always makes sure Cubcub’s (her stuffed polar bear) cup is topped off. He often makes dumplings for the occasion and keeps mooncakes in stock even when it’s not fall as they’re his daughter’s favorite treat.

- [ ] Bi-Han always lets his little girl do his hair, whether it’s a ponytail, pigtails or messy braids he rocks whatever style she chooses. “The fuck are you looking at,” the Grandmaster barks at his subordinates as he makes his way to the throne room. His hair pulled back into two messy braids with a myriad of pink bows littered in his striking black locks. He was man enough to not care what his underlings thought of him, he ruled the Lin Kuei with a frozen fist, what was it to them if he let his daughter play “beauty parlor” with him. It made her happy and that’s all he cared about.

- [ ] Bi-Han is extremely protective of his daughter, more so than if he had a son. Not because he views women as lesser than men but because his little girl is his entire world. She’s completely melted his icy walls and he let her inside as much as he could. He’s trained his daughter to be a fierce and formidable warrior but he would be lying to himself if he didn’t admit he pulled his punches while sparring and often let her win just to see the twinkling in her eyes as he feigns death. He’d do anything for her smile.

- [ ] When his daughter was learning how to walk Bi-Han would often use his powers to create fluffy piles of snow at her feet when she would fall down so she wouldn’t get hurt badly. Even when his daughter is able to walk properly he still is always on alert especially if his daughter is clumsy, he does what he can to prevent her from hurting herself.

He’s patient and thoughtful and always willing to show his daughter the right way to do things. Bi-Han had the proudest Papa moment when his little girl created her first snowflake and may have even had to hold back tears of joy and pride.

- [ ] Bi-Han is always there for his daughter, despite being the Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei he wants his children to lead normal lives. Obviously he will teach them to use their cryomancy and train them to defend themselves but his daughter was never raised to be a killer. So, despite the demands that come with being Grandmaster he is there for every godawful school play, every shitty dance recital and every insufferable field day at school. He ignores the fearful and awkward glances from the fellow parents but Bi-Han can always rely on a fierce and feisty glance from his s/o to shut them up. He’s there to watch his daughter be the best damn flower she can be, maybe they should have brought a coat. He’s always the obnoxious father who is whistling and yelling encouragement at the drop of a hat because fuck if his little girl isn’t the best at everything.

Tagged by @pertinax--loculos. Before I begin I just wanna say...Pockets...this BFF-ship is not one-sided. You're super cool and I always love seeing you on my dash and I miss reading about your stories (haven't heard about ATN in a minute D: I know it's in the 'second draft/editing' graveyard so I get it). My only disappointment is that we evidently live in different time zones so we're never active at the same time :'(. But yeah just had to clear that up. So EHEM, onto the tag!

What motivates you to write?

Oof. I've been trying to remind myself of the answer to this because your girl seems to keep forgetting. I think @pertinax--loculos put it beautifully: 'I write for the same reason I breathe. Because if I didn't, I would die'. I don't think I'm necessarily motivated to do it at this point, it's just that I'm incapable of NOT doing it. Which inevitably makes it difficult when I find myself in a slump and desperate to give up because I can't produce anything I deem "good enough". I know despite my frustrations I will keep trying to produce something because giving up is evidently not an option. In the past though, I think I was motivated by the prospects of other people eventually reading my work and wanting to give those imaginary future people the same feelings/experiences my favorite authors have given me when I read my favorite book. But as it's gotten harder and harder to get eyes on my work, that's stopped being a motivator for me (which is probably for the best).

A line/short snippet of your writing that you are most proud of/happy with. If not, maybe share a line of someone else's work you love (just please credit them):

Can you believe it took me SO long to find an answer for this LOL. I think I'm mostly proud of how scenes I've written turned out, not necessarily specific lines. But I'll go with this one, because it stuck with me the most after I wrote it:

The last thing I truly tried to create was the destruction of myself.

Which OC makes you smile every time you think/talk about them, and what are they like?

Hands down, it's Vince. Like, I love that boy. I can think about him in relation to almost everyone in my cast of characters and I smile even harder. But I think the relationship that I love the most in my story is the one he has with Cami. It's just so...wholesome and pure and playful and loving. Like the two of them truly come to care for each other so much, in a way that almost transcends any kind of relationship (their relationship is fully platonic btw). But Vince is just a lovable idiot. He is the resident himbo. He doesn't take life or himself too seriously which makes him easy to get along with. But he also has such an incredibly big heart and is actually quite sensitive once you get to know him. But the care, respect and admiration he grows to have for Cami over the course of the story is just so beautiful to watch and is one of the parts of my story I look forward to writing/developing the most. I could ramble on and say more but I will reign myself in.

What process of writing do you enjoy the most?

I know this is an uncommon answer but...editing. Blank pages intimidate me. I hate coming up with words on the spot with nothing to build off of. But I love coming back to a chapter I've written, opening up a blank doc beside it and rewriting the chapter with stronger language/words/prose/dialogue etc. I'm often able to flex my writing chops when re-writing or editing a chapter rather than just writing it from scratch. The right words just come to me a lot easier and I can phrase things more eloquently than before. I know this is not what true true editing is...come back and ask me again in 6 months when I have to edit the completed second draft of my story and I'm writhing in agony.

What part of writing do you think you are the best at? (Yes stroke your own ego it's okay)

Dialogue. Dialogue. Dialogue. I struggle with writing an engaging narrative voice/exposition. Can't worldbuild for my life. Descriptions scare me. But ask me to write a compelling, emotional, humorous, realistic conversation between two characters and I will hit the ground running.

What is something in the writeblr community that is most enjoyable?

I think Pockets also had a good answer for this that I agree with - people never forget you. You can be gone for 4 weeks, 4 months, or 4 years, but the minute you log back on and make a post, people will welcome you back into the community with open arms like you never left. And you realize just how much of a place you actually had in the community whereas often when you're in it on the day to day it can feel like you're shouting into the void and no one's listening. But people are listening and lurking and liking your posts, they just may be too shy to approach you or prefer to be in the shadows. But I can think of like at least 5 writeblrs who I've thought about in the last month and wondered where they went off to because I haven't seen them on my dash for months. Despite my qualms with writeblr at times, there is a semblance of a community here that I don't think many other platforms have or can replicate.

A writing tool/device you use that helps you with writing? (It could be speech to text, a writing program etc)

Scrivener. Literally Scrivener. I would not be able to do anything if I didn't have Scrivener. Scrivener is my life. It literally has everything a writer could need and more. When I tell you that everyday I'm discovering a new feature on this shit as if I'm using it for the first time rather than the mf 10 years I've had it. It legit has everything. “But what about —?” Yes. The answer is yes, it can do that, too. And I'm so grateful for it. And it's a ONE TIME purchase which is such a steal. It provides you so much and asks so little in return.

A piece of worldbuilding that you like in your own story? (It could be the magic system, a particular place in the story, a law, etc)

(what an anticlimactic question to end on but I legit do not worlbuild. I truly admire anyone who can but it's not me.)

Fiction Works 2/2: Storytelling, not Teaching or Preaching

See also: Fiction Works 1: Different Strokes for Different Folks

In part 1 I talked about exploring real experiences and potential in fiction. Here in part 2 we are going to remember that, while fiction can be a useful tool for exploration, it is not, in fact, real.

Writing gay Harry Potter fanfic does not make me a gay man (I am actually an asexual lady), nor does it make me a wizard (though c'mon, I wish!) By that same token, writing underage does not make me a pedophile.

Thomas Harris is not guilty of cannibalism, even though he wrote about a cannibal named Hannibal. Vladimir Nabokov is not a pedophile because he wrote Lolita. Bram Stoker is not a vampire because he wrote Dracula. We aren't arresting authors by the truckload for the spilling of fictional blood.

What we need to remember is this:

Fiction (noun) 1.literature in the form of prose that describes imaginary events and people. 2. something that is invented or untrue.

To sum it up: fiction is not reality.

I'm a Storyteller. Not a Teacher, or a Preacher. You shouldn't trust my use of em-dashes, let alone take an infidelity story as a how-to guide.

Stories can be a tool for so many things. Maybe it's catharsis. Maybe it's distraction. Maybe it's curiosity, philosophy, entertainment, exploration. Fiction is a safe avenue to learn, and think, and feel.

Creators are inspired by the world around them, and their own experiences. They're inspired by rainbows, and sunsets, and wildflowers. They're inspired by wildfires, hurricanes, and tornadoes. They're inspired by mythology, religion, folklore, and history. All that is beautiful and ugly and wonderful and terrible in the world.

Creators are shaped by their own lives. And, as stated in Part 1, we are all different. We come from different places, and are raised different ways, and we turn into different people. We have our own histories, our own stories, our own thoughts and opinions and preferences and feelings.

Throw it all in a blender, and maybe the tulip becomes a rose. Maybe the wildfire becomes an earthquake. Maybe the sunset is an inferno, and the night sky is the abyss. Maybe the those old ruins are the path to Heaven.

The reality of the materials used and the methods used aren't always evident in the final work. Our stories come from somewhere, sure, but it's never as cut and dry as people think.

Can stories hurt you? Sure. The way anything can hurt you. The world isn't a safe space, after all.

It's valid if a story hurts you. If you're triggered by it, or upset by it, or don't like it. Not all negative reactions are triggers, but they don't have to be. You're allowed your own feelings. But the existence of a work that upsets you is not a crime against you. A story that depicts evil deeds is not, itself, evil.

In real life, I have a zero tolerance policy for cheating. I have very strong feelings about it.

Do you know what I love to read and write? You guessed it! Cheating! It goes hand in hand with my other great love: toxic/dysfunctional relationships!

In real life, I'd never have a relationship with a person who cheated ever, even in the past. I'd not stay with someone who cheated on me. I have a very stable, happy, boring relationship. I have a good life now, because I built it from the wreckage of a chaotic upbringing.

My father cheated on my mother and left her for his mistress. He dragged his children through the middle of his dysfunctional relationship, which lasted a decade. We suffered the consequences of his choices. It's a pretty long and fucked up story, and I won't get that personal here, but the point is:

I never, ever want to experience any of that in my real world again. However, exploring those events in a fictional scenario is safe for me. There's an odd comfort in the familiarity of it. Seeing that one awful thing through different lenses, and playing out so many ways, helps me process what I went through. It soothes me now as it soothed me then, right in the thick of it, being able to explore it all in a way that was safe and that I could control. I could get off the ride at any point. I could close the word document, or close the tab. I could close the book, or turn off the TV.

My Real Father in the Real World hurt Real People with his Real Actions. That was my Real Life, and it Really Sucked.

Fictional People in a Fictional World who hurt Fictional People with their Fictional Actions...that is a story.

Real People in the Real World who hurt Real People and blame Fictional Stories...those Real People are to blame for Real Harm.

The Real Person who blames a movie for the Real Crime they committed...that Real Person is to blame. 100%.

And the Real Person who attacks Real People in defense of Fictional People...Real People who hurt Real People and use Fictional Stories as an excuse...those Real People are the villains.

Fic leanings/potential and will be marked with 🥀. If Dark! Fics aren’t your thing, that’s okay. Just ignore those prompts. Please don’t harass me or others or start arguments in the comments. 1. While scuba diving in an underwater cave system full of beautiful stones and underwater plants, you get lost. Trying to escape, you find a trident. Upon touching this trident, millions of voices ring out, "The Princess/Queen has returned." (up to you if familial or romantic story).

2. The Blue Lagoon AU where you and Attuma/Namor are just humans who get shipwrecked and stranded on an island. You fall in love as you build a home there over the years. Possibly takes place in the Victorian era.

3. You work as a mermaid performer for an aquarium, and on your day off you take your tail out to the beach to play in the ocean. You're soon surprised by a group of Wakandans, who, having mistaken you for an actual mermaid, are begging you to help them rescue their kidnapped princess from Talokan. Wait, what? You’re struggling to process any of what was just said. You can hold your breath for a long time by human standards, but not that long.

4. Ponyo AU where either Namor or Attuma have a very small daughter who’s curious and in love with the surface to the point she slips away from the sea and befriends a human child. Namor or Attuma tries to bring his child back to Talokan, but the girl is like 😠 because she likes this human!! The human is her best friend now!! “Daddy go away can’t you see we’re sailing in a boat, eating ham sandwiches, making sand castles and other fun kid stuff!!”

🥀5. You're a deep sea welder. You've noticed a hatch on the seabed through which a light flickers for a while. One day, you check it out. To your surprise, you see the panicked face of your friend who went missing, through the hatch glass. They’ve been kept prisoner in Talokan all this time and you offer to take their place. Beauty and the Beast AU

6. A woman gives birth to a girl who's been cursed to slowly transform into a “sea monster”. She tries desperately to make her child normal, to the detriment of her daughter. As reader grows into an adult and continues to change, her mother fears the day that she will leave her for the ocean, especially when she goes off to college and meets a man who claims to be from the sea. Sort of Hades/Persephone AU.

7. Ever After “a bird may love a fish, but where would they live?” AU

8. Period drama AUs. Bridgerton, Jane Austen, victorian AU, regency AU, gimme that good stuff but with Namor or Attuma.

9. After getting shipwrecked on an island you’ve never heard about, you meet a princess who asks you to help her take back her kingdom. She mistook you for a warrior, and misunderstood everything you said. You have never fought a battle in your life. You just wanna go home. You’re far too tired and hungry for this.

10. Creature from the Black Lagoon AU. During an expedition, reader is noticed by Namor or Attuma, who admires her beauty and falls in love with her from afar over the course of however many months. I just want to fall in love with and be carried away bridal style by a fishman to his underwater home, my dudes.

11. Shape of Water AU where Attuma/Namor is held captive in a facility and over time forms a special bond with reader, eventually falling in love with her. They bridge their language barrier and when reader helps him escape, oh fuck turns out he is a god.

12. When you were a child, you had an imaginary friend around your age who lived in the sea. You used to go on adventures with him. The last time you saw him was when you were teenagers, when you shared in a strange personal ceremony where you joined hands. Now, after all these years, a hooded Attuma/Namor arrives on your doorstep claiming to be your betrothed and tells you that you must come to Talokan with him at once. It’s not safe here. (Could take place in a different time period/timeline. Either way, let’s pretend reader and Namor/Attuma were either born around the same time or age at about the same rate/speed so the age gap isn’t weird and we divert the creepy “adult Namor meets reader when she’s a child” thing. Maybe reader isn’t exactly human. Maybe she’s a mutant too. Idk. Don’t think too hard about it.)

🥀13. A scuba diver was in the middle of exploring a shipwreck when they discover a body. It’s the body of a young woman and it looks oddly intact. Like she just fell asleep. But the ship’s been down here for years. The diver is in the middle of contemplating this when the body’s eyes open. The woman is you, and Attuma/Namor is furious that someone dare disturb his love while you were resting. Why are you in this situation? Who knows. Maybe you were dying from an incurable disease, maybe Namor/Attuma was faced with your mortality after a near death experience. The why and the how is up to you. Sort of Sleeping Beauty AU.

14. You kayak every day, and over time some of the dolphins in the bay have started swimming along with you as you kayak. One day, the dolphins are acting oddly. After much chattering, and bumping into your boat, three of them push you and your kayak out to sea, as if commanded to by an unseen presence. Suddenly you’re surrounded by blue skinned people and they all have weapons pointed at you. A man with wings on his ankles hovers above you. Well, damn. This was not in your summer getaway plans.

15. You are stranded on a gloomy beach after a shipwreck. The only other survivor is your loyal dog after you saved it from the burning ship. The full moon shines on the dark water, where debris of the wreckage are floating. Suddenly, you hear something in the woods. You turn around and see someone walking towards you... (Possibly Little Mermaid AU? Idk. I just love that scene when Eric stays on the burning ship to save his dog, Max.)

16. Pirate AU? You were born with special eyes. The sea is as clear as glass to you. By the time you’re old enough to join a ship’s crew, you’re smart enough not to tell them about everything you’ve seen below the waves.

17. The red string is tied around your finger and lets it lead you to your soulmate, someone who understands you. You’re a navigator and a cartographer, so when your string leads you to an unexplored part of the sea not marked on your maps, you think it must be a mistake. It’s not.

🥀18. You and your parents are labeled eccentric. You’ve all avoided the ocean, yet when they’re killed, you arrange a sea burial for them. As their bodies sink, you watch the rest of your family swim up from the murky depths below to take them home, and some of them pause to wave at you. How is this happening. Is this a vivid nightmare or a haunting reality? Are you in the twilight zone?

19. You're a novice shipwreck treasure hunter. One day you dig up a map that seems very old, all of the continents and islands are correct, but the map ends at places with waterfalls or hidden underwater cave tunnels. You see an X that reads "only way out". Only way out of where? What’s down there?

20. You are riding your boat through a fog. Suddenly, you come upon an island ringed by shipwrecks. On closer inspection, the entire island is an overgrown pile of ships, all from different cultures and eras. As you near the shore, you see a bunch of blue skinned people and a man flying above them. They seem to be burning something. They spot you. Oh no.

21. You’ve just survived a shipwreck and pull yourself onto a small island. From the shade of a palm tree a man steps out and says “Well well well. We meet again. But this time the advantage is mine!” You have no idea who this guy is or what he’s talking about.

22. You’re a young Aztec woman. Your canoe gets caught in a torrent and you black out and wake up alone on an unknown beach, where you see a golden glow in the distance. Describe the first year of your life in Talokan. Could take place centuries in the past before the canon timeline.

🥀23. You’ve just inherited a mysterious Aztec looking, revolving puzzle box from your late grandfather. In the note that came with it, it states, “this puzzle box will reset every hour, each time to a new sequence, but the prize inside will change your life forever. Good luck.” Sort of Hellraiser inspired.

24. You’re an archaeologist studying the Aztec and you’ve just uncovered an artifact with your newborn child’s name and birthdate on it.

25. You love building sand sculptures on the beach, but recently someone has been changing your sculptures, moving them, or making copies. This time, you are going to hide and watch, to see what is happening.

26. After you finished college, you went on what you thought would be a dream cruise vacation. Instead you were the sole survivor of a sunken ship. Despite many difficulties and challenges, you managed to find some comfort and joy on a deserted island. Fish and crabs seemed to wash up on shore daily, providing you with food and you kept finding useful items you could create clothing or other supplies with. On the tenth anniversary of your life on the island, you find the following words written on the sand on the beach: “I’m a friend. I think It is time we finally meet.”

🥀27. Your dad always said that putting your ear to a conch shell sounded like the ocean. While walking along the beach, you come across one such seashell. You decide to relive childhood memories of listening to the sound of ocean waves, but are frightened by what you hear. “Help me!” A distressed voice calls. “Help me! Please!”

28. Iron Giant inspired AU. The “Hey Dean, watch this!” scene except it’s Reader who’s swimming in the water and being like, “Come in, the water’s great!” While failing miserably at hiding the fact it’s freezing. Meanwhile Namor is sitting smugly in the sand, just trying to relax like “Haha no thanks,” until a HUGE wave crashes over him, leaving him totally soaked and dampening his mood (no pun intended) 😂

OR reader is a single mother and waitress and Namor is an artist who comes into the diner and over time falls in love with reader and bonds with the kid, becoming their dad. Possibly modern AU.

Dear Maya, to others you may be just a fictional character and maybe not many people know you or remember you but to me you're more than just hope, and you're engraved in my heart. Your words "always say yes to life." Shall be my life motto from now on.

At the start of the movie I thought it was just another children's movie as the protagonists were teens in their highschool. But to my surprise I was wrong and proved that "never judge a book by its cover." because it wasn't something I assumed. It was something even more beautiful than I expected. This movie has friendship—one friend being rebellious and selfish other one being soft hearted, kind and empathetic—mischievous deeds of teens, calm parenting, school life, small town aesthetics, crush, letters, depressed and lady with trust issues who's wealthy but not happy. It has broken friendship arc, guilt, remorse and years later phase, college, relationship, hesitation in accepting proposal, scars from the past because of prank. Second chance friendship arc, and a very beautiful ending with unexpected twist. Music was great as well, I added 2 songs to my liked playlist because it has motivating vibes. Great storyline, acting music, and everything. Maybe others might find this movie boring but to me it wasn't.

Idk if everyone can notice what I noticed but it has this scene where Maya releases birds she kept caged as her pets. Maybe it's to portray that "Don't cage yourself in your comfort zone because of fears and insecurities because the world is vast and the sky is vaster. Find yourself and things which can give you happiness. Get out of your confinement and say yes to life." That's my perspective about movie and scenes.

So it's about two girls—Anna and Ira—who starts writing prank letters–(pretending to be an imaginary man they created who's in love with her and wants her to live happy life.) to wealthy, yet gloomy, depressed scared of human interaction, middle aged lady "Maya" who lives in the neighborhood–out of boredom. Later Maya slowly gets convinced and starts changing herself, her dressing, starts interacting with others just a bit. Sells her house and goes to Delhi in the search of the "man" who sends her love letters. Which scares one of the girls and she gets stressed thinking what'd happen to Maya because that man doesn't exist in the first place, while the other one doesn't care about the consequences. Anna confesses about prank letters to her parents out of guilt, they send her to boarding school and her friendship with ira ends up in thorns.

Years later everything has changed and but Anna is still searching for Maya in Delhi while living her college life, she even has a boyfriend—Rahul—who proposes her but she asks for time to consider everything. Ira has became quieter than before because of huge incident. Anna comes back to Shimla, her hometown, to meet her parents. Ira and she reunited but Anna isn't ready to forgive her for what she did in the past and they go back to Delhi to search for Maya once again because Ira says she has found Maya's address. And they end up going to Delhi together, things happen, they argue and Anna finds out what happened to Ira in her absence. They reconcile and unexpectedly finds Maya because of Anna's Missing posters. They meet her and after seeing her completely changed in brighter clothing and full of smile living a better life they get shock of their lives and they ask her what happened after she came to Delhi alone to search for her "lover". Maya tells them what happened, her journey about finding happiness and movie ends with twist.

It was such a beautiful movie, it left quite an impression on my heart. Like how Maya decided to come out of her confinement and comfort zone to find happiness. She goes around the city, tries food, buys clothes and jewelry and enjoys life. She understands that, to live life one must abandon their fears. How Anna didn't give up and kept searching for Maya, how Ira had character development. And how they learned lesson through their prank letters.

At the end, I'd say that they should make this kind of movies more. Slice of life.

As an author and creative I'd like to say I adore my imaginary children equally, but that's just not true. Sitting down to begin writing Ashlee Rinn two years ago was cathartic beyond belief. We are very different personas, but her angst and loneliness very much mirrored my own.

It was in designing and writing Ash that I knew I couldn't hold back any longer. From early childhood my self-image never aligned with what I saw in the mirror, or how I was raised. It was only by describing the resolve of a fictional character I could build resolve myself.

I had known transgender women from my early 20s, but I was so scared. Not of them, but for myself. I spent a lot of time in hospitals as a child, and mortality caught up with me several times at far too young an age. I couldn't accept that there was 𝘺𝘦𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 thing "wrong" with me.

But that's just it: there was nothing wrong. My transness is beautiful exactly because I had the gall to say: "Fuck it, I know who I am, this is my life, and only I can rightfully define myself." And Ash feels exactly that way, despite living on Planet TERF.

I've played a lot of OC and PC female characters in RPGs and games over the years, but it took an openly and unapologetically trans character of mine—an avatar of sorts—to crack my egg with a sledge. She is her own person, but she has also become my voice.

I know you're not real, Ashlee, but thank you for lighting the path and walking with me on this terrifying but wonderful journey. 💜🏳️‍⚧️

Just out of curiosity, do you still write any irondad fics?

I think the better way to phrase your question is, would I still write irondad fics?

Which is yes, if an idea moves me or is interesting. But as a blanket statement, the answer would be no.

For several reasons.

To anyone who’s been around here for a minute, it’s no secret that I got my start in fandom writing more IronDad. I have never once considered myself an IronDad writer but a Peter writer, specifically within the MCU and using the relationships that mattered most to him at that time period. I showed up here around 2019, right before EG and FFH so naturally the outgrowth of what I wrote revolved more about where Peter canonically was at the time. I used to rant and rave at how annoying it was to love Peter because I never felt like either “fandom” (irondad and spideychelle in this instant) ever really cared about him as a central point; it was either Tony being the center of his universe or MJ, neither of which vibed with what I was feeling nor fit what actually felt important to Peter at the time.

I have my own misgivings and Experience with IronDad fandom from 2020-2021 that doesn’t need to be listed in detail here (tl;dr white irondad writers hate to be forced to contend with how racist and sexist they are) but that, along with being further removed from Tony being relevant to Peter (as he is dead) felt less interesting to me. Now, a whole year after NWH where Tony is NOT relevant or important to Peter in any capacity (except in ways and meta that would make huge subsets of irondad angry to think about), I am WHOLLY uninterested in creating some kind of canon adjacent story that ties him into it as a general role. NWH satisfied me as a media and if I don’t write the kind of fluffy fix it’s that spideychelle wants (from someone who has loved Peter and MJ for decades), than I certainly don’t want to do that for IronDad.

I don’t care about living in the “imaginary beautiful period” post HOCO pre IW for the possibility of IronDad because 1) I think too much of fandom uses that as an excuse to completely eliminate both Ned, MJ and May as vital components of Peter’s life which was sexist and racist then and is even WORSE now considering where canon is and 2) i don’t care to rehash the same derivative tropes of living within a set time period. Not to be a bitch but I like to see characters Grow and Change and Adapt and there is only so much that I’m creatively interested in them creating more “Peter and Tony work in the lab” kind of fics that I hardly created even when I wrote irondad regularly.

That being said, it’s not like I don’t currently write Tony in stories or haven’t. Tony is still a fascinating character to me but he’s also 1) dead and 2) not the person I care about re: IronDad. Peter is. If he’s being included in a story, especially at this juncture, it’s how he can serve Peter’s narrative and growth— which I’d like to think I always wrote it in this way, I just use the tag less and don’t make an active effort to think of ideas to write irondad because of the fandom’s refusal to move forward.

And the racism and sexism of 80% of the fandom who still, to this day, refuse to acknowledge it and/or get irritated when anyone brings up canon vs fanon.

tl;dr sure, if i have an idea. I have 3 WIPs with Tony + IronDad I’m actively working on / being published.

However, the fandom is rancid and filled with so much unchecked racism and sexism— along with a refusal to let go of the past— that even if I did actively tried to create, I don’t feel welcomed anymore.

This anime season has seen the return of classics like Urusei Yatsura and Bleach, so we thought…why not cover the latter as a throwback by a reviewer who has never read it? We’re also looking at the first volume of another classic that’s soon to receive a reboot, Trigun: Maximum. They join a host of other releases this week, including a romcom full of imagination and the 12th and final review for Shortcake Cake!

Shortcake Cake, Manga Vol. 12

This ending of this amazing and heartfelt series only confirms to me that I will binge-read anything Suu Morishita writes (and legally gets translated/printed in English). Such a beautiful and fantastic ending! Seriously, I’ve reread this final volume at least two or three times now because it gives all the warm, happy feels and so deeply thankful that everyone can be together. Yes, we see in some of the bonus stories that certain characters went to different places, and aren’t altogether, but the way they keep in touch and the happiness they have when they are together is so beautiful given what has transpired over this series. I deeply loved Ten and Riku’s happy ending and how there was even a surprise happy ending for a set of side characters! It made me smile and laugh and feel it only continued until the final page. I think the cover honestly wraps up what this final volume conveys not only for the characters, but I think the reader too. I know it certainly made me smile! (The cover and the ending.) I think the only sad part is knowing that the series is indeed over. It’s been a beautiful and wonderful journey with these characters and thankful that Ten made the decision to live in a boarding house because otherwise we might have not gotten this touching and powerful love story of not only between friends, but between two brothers who found healing as well. Imaginary, Manga Vol. 1

Imaginary is what happens when a mangaka combines the mundane with the fantastic, and has the skill and, indeed, imagination to back it up. The story begins with the most ordinary of manga romcom framing—boy (Takasu) reconnects with girl (Maika), and the childhood friends kindle what could become a romance. But this is where Imaginary separates from other romantic comedies, by how it lives in the character’s minds. For instance, as Mai rides home on the train after seeing Takasu, she spies a boy looking out a window, and remembers how she did the same as a child, imagining a ninja leaping from building to building across the quickly passing landscape. Mangaka Niiro Ikuhana illustrates these thoughts, and he depicts action and the fantastic more sharply than “real life”—which he’s quite good at depicting, too! He also excels at transitioning from scene to scene, with an unusual flow that keeps readers on their feet. Instead of portraying what happens when Takasu visit Maika’s apartment, for example, he shows the scene where the two finally decide to go over, shifts immediately to Mai reporting that nothing had occurred to a friend, and then shifts to that friend’s life. It’s a deft technique that makes the normal ebb and flow of life engaging, and when combined with the fantasy sequences, helps bring each of the characters to life. This includes Mai’s three friends, who receive intimate treatment and avoid becoming simple side notes to the main story. In fact, the friendship between the four girls is as central as the budding romance, and in volume one (perhaps as insinuated in the mangaka’s very interesting postscript) this is really the heart of the tale. The artwork is sharp, detailed, and unique, adding another engaging element to the manga. (Warning: an early illustration is quite vivid in its depiction of Mai’s body; it demonstrates the quality of the volume’s artwork and also some of the lesser, but still present, fanservice throughout the book). If there’s one negative, though, it’s this: I don’t know if I can be okay with traditional romcoms any longer—not when there’s something as creative, thoughtful, and fulfilling as Imaginary out there. I Am Blue, In Pain, and Fragile, One-Shot Light Novel

Being a university student is hard. (And no, I’m not just saying that because it’s midterm season.) University is that time where society throws you and a bunch of other half-adults into the pressure cooker of classes and social groups until you somehow figure out your career and worldview and life. It’s disorienting, especially since university is often your first foray beyond the insular world of high school and family into a world that isn’t too kind to dreamers. And I Am Blue, In Pain, and Fragile gets this. Kaede and Akiyoshi, two university students who create a club dedicated to pursuing their shared dreams of universal peace and happiness, soon find themselves in over their head and questioning the practicality of those dreams. The book focuses on Kaede in particular, who reminded me of Kanae from I Will Forget This Feeling Someday—ambitious but single-minded, distant but fragile, and longing for healing and hope. And also like that book, this one focuses much on the passing of time, the pain we endure and inflict, the pressures of social life, and the possibility of reconciliation. What stands out here is Yoru Sumino’s piercing depiction of how institutions can careen out of the control of the people behind the wheel. It’s a relevant point of warning for college students especially. Don’t let your ambitions outpace your character. Don’t let yourself hurt others, even your enemies. Don’t use others as tools, even to take hold of the things that are meaningful to you. Those are timely messages, and they make the book shine—though I will say it shines a little more dimly than some of Sumino’s other works. While Kaede and Akiyoshi get their full stories told, the rest of the characters get shoved to the side after their time in the light. And despite all that, there’s never an explanation for why Kaede developed the worldview that he holds, even though Sumino drops hints at such an explanation throughout the book. But hey, the sky is still blue, even if a few clouds block the view. ~ sleepminusminus

Banished from the Hero’s Party: I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside, Manga Vol. 2

The way volume one of Banished from the Hero’s Party ended left me worried and disappointed. Would the charming fantasy and romance and engaging flashback structure displayed earlier in that work go the way of the birds? Thankfully, volume two proves my concerns unfounded. Rit and Red continue to grow more intimate with one another through their cute interactions and as the former powerful warriors set aside the sword to run a pharmacy. There are obstacles in the way, though, such as that many residents aren’t willing to let Red “abscond” with their beloved protector princess. But far more concerning is a looming threat that neither is considering—what the hero’s party has been up to and how it still may impact Red. This volume employs three different settings, and all contribute to making the story compelling. The current time frame and its cutesy goodness are much welcomed, but so is a flashback showing more about Rit’s initial meeting with Red, further developing the context of their friendship (turning more and more toward romance), and introducing another member of the hero’s party who is a key character. Actually, that member is briefly introduced earlier in this volume through another present-day scene that shows the readers that the hero’s party doesn’t devalue Rit as much as he believes them to. That opening adds an encouraging tone to the work while keeping the menace of the evil world looming large in the tale, ensuring that readers are rewarded with the conflict we desire while still being able to enjoy a story that’s mostly just heartwarming. ~ Twwk

Kaiju No. 8, Manga Vol. 4

I am convinced that no volume of Kaiju No. 8 can be less than five stars because it’s just that good! This series continues to be my favorite ongoing shonen series and rightfully so! Every. Single. Time. I pick up a new volume, I am completely immersed in the story, with volume four being no exception. To echo Kafka’s thoughts in the beginning: “Everyone is so amazing!” This volume kicks off right where the previous volume ended with the vice-captain, Hoshina, battling one of the strongest kaiju we’ve seen thus far. Just when it appears that the Defense Force is victorious, the daikaiju launches a surprise that only Kakfa’s detection ability reacts to. How is he going to help fight, keep his comrades safe, and not reveal his secret? I have been eagerly anticipating this specific volume because I wanted to see more of Hoshina, and it did not disappoint! Granted, no volume in this series has disappointed me, but seeing Hoshina in action was absolutely incredible! His fighting technique is so engaging to watch, and I was almost giddy at seeing his backstory despite also being angry about what people told him. Ha! I was completely on edge throughout all of his scenes as he began to reach his limits—but just when I thought I couldn’t be more on edge, a situation unfolded that left me wondering as to what will happen to Kafka and everyone involved. If you’re a fan of the series, do not miss out on this volume! The stakes get higher the more the series unfolds, and I am extremely desperate for the next volume so I can know what happens next! ~ Laura A. Grace

Trigun Maximum, Manga, Vol. 1

In the early years of my exposure to the expansive genre that is anime, Trigun was one of those top tier ones that I remember enjoying. I’ve only watched the anime, which I feel is still fun, but I have not read the manga and have only heard about Trigun Maximum. I bought volume one to see what it was about, as I assumed it would just rehash some episodes from the anime. In fact, it’s a continuation from a certain point in the anime and has a lot of new story that I was excited to discover. It starts off with Vash the Stampede in retirement after several rough battles. His friend Wolfwood finds him and pushes him to come back and help the people that need him. In the midst of this, the town Vash is staying at is attacked by a gang, so he jumps in to save them. Familiar faces return and the story continues to unravel as Vash seeks Knives, his nemesis. It’s great to get back to one of my nostalgic and favorite anime, and I’m glad there’s more that I haven’t read up on. So Trigun Maximum, even though it is an older manga, is fresh for me and I want to see what happens next! ~ Samuru

Bleach, Manga Vol. 1

I have a number of huge geek gaps when it comes to anime and manga. I have filled in some of those gaps over the years by reading all the Dragon Ball and One Piece manga, being fully up to date on both. As the new Bleach anime series dropped recently, I ended up deciding to try out that manga series. So glad I did. For those, like me, who were unaware, Bleach is set in a world where soul reapers come to help the souls of the dead move onto the next life. Some souls with unfinished business transform into monstrous forms called Hollows. Soul reapers should not be seen by humans. Enter our titular hero Ichigo, a human who can see spirits and also, apparently, Soul Reapers. Through an accidental moment where a Soul Reaper is injured, Ichigo transforms into both Soul Reaper and human to protect his family. The story is fast-paced from there, introducing new characters, new Hollows, and great action scenes in the first volume. Tite Kibo’s art is effortlessly cool and the Hollows are frighteningly monstrous in the best way. If you like action stories, this may be for you. And me, apparently. I guess my biggest complaint is that it took me this long to check it out. ~ MDMRN

Dear Andrew,

I spent the summer thinking I might have been a lesbian, but then I got your last album and fell in love with you.

I’m writing this because I’m a writer. I pitched the idea of an essay about having a celebrity crush to my friend, explained the crush and she said, well, you should write him a letter.

I’m 31, so I wasn’t ready to have a crush on a singer I’ll never see in my life. I feel like a teen, and I don’t like it. Maybe because it reminds me of how old and lonely I get. My friend says, but Sasha, it just means you’re alive, and your heart is finding ways to feel something.

The line between acting honest and acting crazy is a thin one, especially for women, but hopefully I’ll walk the line.

What not to love about you, though? A tall man with a halo of golden hair; a man who says “capitalism is a cult”; a man who supports the weakest; a man who sings of love that wins over death. The embodiment of everything I ever wanted in a man. What a sweet unrest it brings.

The algorithms of social networks are kind to me: they show me more and more videos from gigs and interviews. I feel shy when I see your face, or hear you speaking. I’ve always been the invisible one, a quiet admirer, mesmerised by the beauty. If we were in the same room, I’d probably try not to look at you at all costs, as if my love is a beam of light, and, reflected from you, it’d burn me down.

As you said in an Q&A I watched the other night, one can’t truly experience love without experiencing the sorrow. When I feel the love, I’m scared; I can sense the destruction this feeling promises.

I had a dream this week; don’t worry, it’s a decent one. We were together and I was sad, and you tried to comfort me; the moment i’m trying to describe is quite hard to grasp: I woke up with the feeling of a soft breath on my neck and the electric sensation of beard touching my skin.

It was so real, surreal. It never happened, but I remember it.

I’m an amateur of love, but a pro at heartbroken.

There’s a difference between knowing and being. I’ve always been in the knowing team, but this year I rejected knowledge: it felt exhausted. This letter is my attempt to be.

I’ve been identifying as queer for a couple of years. The word queer is handy because it allows me to not provide any explanations; it’s a way to quickly say “I feel like an alien here and still I am painfully aware I’m human”.

I’m trying to figure out who I am, and I think I am a possibility: a possibility of many different lives.

I’ve never understood—and always admired—those who are just sure about themselves. How can anyone declare themself to be any one thing, and not the other? I support it, but I know I can be both, given the circumstances. I am both.

I think, loving someone is not about their sex or gender; loving someone is about the soul alignment, and maybe a bit of fate. Loving you and listening to your songs helped me to pave the way to myself, the one I lost in three last heartbreaks.

Having a crush on an unfamiliar person can be considered comfortable: I easily can avoid the content I don’t like and consume the content I prefer: where you sing certain songs or your hair is of certain length, or, or, or. I can cherish your explanations of your own lyrics, and ignore something else. Maybe I don’t ignore anything now, but nevertheless it is an imaginary relationship, a true love towards an imaginary person.

But aren’t all persons around us imaginary? Don’t we always ignore the boring stuff and highlight the great stuff about those we love?

Miraculous Descendants (Mirandants) au part I: New Queen, New Chances

Remember I had this miraculous descendants au thingy, me and my sister actually came up with this au and we never actually finished writing it and I only posted one or two chapters of it here and back in amino (I used to use that app not anymore tho) | decided to rewrite it since my writing style changed a bit. Should I actually start posting in ao3 or wattpad, idk a lot about those sites I will download them. What do you guys say about this?

To explain this au shortly in Disney's descendants franchise villains are punished to live in a isle with no wifi or magic and since Hawkmoth is technically considered a Disney villain this makes Adrien a VK, considering he's Hawkmoth's direct descendant. Realising this canon information made us imagine this au.

Long long ago a beautiful girl called Sabine breaks the curse that was put on prince Tom with true love. Years later when a villain called Hawkmoth attacks their kingdom, together they defeat him. After defeating Hawkmoth the gentle prince formed a kingdom with his lover and they became the queen and king of the land. They decided to call it Aurandon. Beauty and Beast had the biggest and the most splendid wedding you can ever imagine, more than 6,000 people attended and the whole world broadcasted the wedding. Everything seemed perfect for a while since they defeated Hawkmoth. Sure they had defeated their biggest enemy but they didn't know what to do with the villains now so they formed a court, they decided to consulate matters to the court to have better solutions.

Eventually the court decided to sent all the villains to an isle that has no magic or Wifi. At first Queen Sabine and King Tom thought it might not be the most perfect solution but what could be a better punishment than sending all the villains to live together without any luxury, the young couple decided to approve the "Isle prison" idea and with that they sent Hawkmoth and rest of the villains to the Isle which later got the name "The Isle of the Lost”

2 years later Queen Sabine and King Tom had a beautiful baby with bluebell eyes and pink cheeks, they named their baby "Marinette" which meant "the one who is born to shine" Marinette truly shined in every place she went, she quite literally resembled her name meaning. Everyone in Auradon loved the young princess. Her beauty made many people fall for her and her kindness and elegance charmed every young man and woman in Auradon.

Princess Marinette was now a 17 year old teenager who will be crowded as the queen soon and she has many responsibilities she has to face. On top of this she has these strange dreams about a mysterious boy who is no older than her. She tried to imagine the boy in her dreams again but she didn't remembered a lot. All she remembered was the boy was dressed in patched dark purple and black leather clothing, it was obvious that the boy in her dreams was not from Auradon but more importantly who was he? Was he imaginary or an actual person. Marinette didn't remember meeting anyone like him before.

"Marinette, girl you there?" She zooms back to reality as she hears Alya's voice. "You okay?" Her friend asks to her " called your name like few times but guess you were really thinking hard this time" she chuckles at Alya's comment and tries to brush of her thoughts about the mysterious boy aside.

"It's nothing, I'm still thinking about my first official proclamation" Alya gave her an understanding look, she had told Alya about her plan on bringing kids from Isle to Auradon but she left out the part where she decided Hawkmoth's son should be one of them. She know even her best friend who supports her every decision would protest against it.

"It's just I know it will be a big talk in Auradon and I don't want anyone to feel unsafe because of my decision but Alya the kids in Isle, they don't deserve to be punished for their parents faults" Alya held Marinette's hands to show her support.

"Girl, I understand what you mean and I know you will always want the best for your people but you should be ready for the protests that will happen, it won't be easy for everyone. Just don't forget whatever happens me and rest of our friends will always support you no matter what" Marinette smiled at her best friend softly. "Thank you Alya, I know I can always count on you" they hugged and talked for a while shortly after one of castle's servants knocked on the door and announced she should be at her coronation dress preparation.

While having her coronation dress being prepared with final touches Marinette found herself gazing through the window looking at the Isle of the Lost. The Isle was always cloudy and Marinette wondered have the kids there ever saw sun?

"Sleeve. Head. Ah-ha!" She heard the tailor hum in excitement of finishing the coronation dress.

The dress was truly beautiful and Marinette was even more lucky to have the opportunity to design her own coronation dress. The dress itself was mainly pink, pink as Ariel's dress. The sleeves of the dress were the same as Belle's dresses sleeves but the sleeves were white unlike the rest of the dress. The dress had a upside down rose like look which honor her parents tale Beauty and the Beast. The ends of her gowns skirts were red unlike the rest of the dress. Dress also had pearl white patterns on its top. Marinette loved frilly dresses so all of her gowns were like that. She decided to wear a ladybug necklace to match her miraculous. For her hair she was planning on to make it a bun and decorate it with small ladybug clips since she is the holder of ladybug miraculous which was given to her on her 14th birthday. She had the biggest coronation that was ever hosted when she was given the miraculous and officially became ladybug. It was the best day of her life. She remembered being almost 14 and looking from the same window to Isle wondering what is going on there while she was preparing for parties and balls, having all the luxury.

"How is it possible that you're going to be crowned queen next month? You're just a baby!" She softly laughed at her dad. He always likes to imagine her daughter younger than she is.

"She's turning 18, dear" Sabine told her husband with a loving smile. Her dad pretend to be shocked and than wiped a happiness tear from his eye. "They grow up so fast?

"Hey, papa! Hey, Mama!" She rushed towards her dad despite the tailor warning her not to ruin her dress and hugged both her parents tightly.

"18? That's far too young to be crowned queen" her dad continued. "We were around her age when we became rulers as well" her mom said as they both laughed at her dad. "She's ready to be the queen of Auradon, dear" Marinette gave her mom a huge smile, it felt like her mom was not only saying this to her dad but also boosting Marinette's confidence before her proclamation.

She cleared her throat. "Mama, Papa" Marinette took a deep breath and announced her first official proclamation to her parents. "I've chosen my first official proclamation. I've decided that the children on the isle of the lost be given a chance to live here in Auradon" queen Sabine and king Tom gasped. She saw the tailor dropping the pin he was attaching to the dress. "Every time I look out to the island, I feel like they've been abandoned" she said trying to prove her point.

"The children of our sworn enemies, living among us?" queen Sabine was the first one to speak. Her mom and dad were now holding each other tightly in both hands. "We start out with a few at first, only the ones who need our help the most. I've already chosen them" Marinette continued to explain her plan despite the negative reaction that came from the room. "Have you?"

Her dad asked trying to sound as calm as possible but Marinette could understand from his nervousness that he was fearing the possibilities of her decision.

"Tom why don't we listen Marinette's plan, I'm sure she already planned it. We know not every villain is as evil as we think. Who are their parents?" the queen said, she was clearly interested in her daughters idea.

"Shan Yu" Fei was really going to be mad at her for this, her friend's mom is Mulan after all. "Dr.

Facilier" thank heavens tiana and naveen didn't had any kids. "Hans Westergaard, Evil Queen" The last was the worst for her to explain. "And Hawkmoth?

Her parents were surprised to hear their worst enemies kid was picked by their daughter to bring to Auradon. "Hawkmoth! He is the worst villain in the land" Marinette knew Hawkmoth is extremely dangerous and what he is capable of. She always feared him escaping from the Isle of the Lost and attacking her people but learning he had a son.

Marinette couldn't help but feel sorry for his son.

"Papa, just hear me out here!" Her dad crossed his arms and shook his head as if in 'no' She couldn't blame her dad for reacting badly, they wanted to protect their daughter and people of Auradon. "I won't hear of it. They are guilty of unspeakable crimes"

"Papa, their children are innocent. Don't you think they deserve a shot at a normal life? Papa?" Her dad’s expression softened a bit.

"You know Hawkmoth better than I do" Her dad cut her off. "Yes, that's why you should listen to us" she sighed, she knew it was going to be hard but the result was going to be worth it all. Those kids deserved a chance to have a normal life even if they are son of the most evil villain alive.

"Daddy don't you understand that is why we should save his kid from him, I looked at Isle kids files and especially chose the ones who need the most help and, and you and mom and anyone here know how horrible Hawkmoth is, do you think he would make a decent parent?" Her parents were silent for a moment.

The royal couple exchanged worried looks, it's like they had a silent debate going on. "I suppose their children are innocent" her mom finally said as her dad nodded. Marinette gave them a huge grin, it was her victory smile.

"We are so proud of you Marinette" they hugged their daughter once more. "Well, well done. Shall we?" Queen Sabine held her husbands arm. The royal couple walked away leaving young princess alone with her thoughts.

was always so confused with Descendants timeline because all those fairytales took place in a different time period and to be honest them living in the years let alone century makes no sense so my logical explanation for this is ✨magic✨ also in this au Sabine is the Beauty and Tom is the Beast btw incase you didn't noticed.
