I read somewhere that "the heart strings can sometimes break after a deep emotional trauma causing the heart to lose form an as a result be unable to pump blood effectively". And researchers have confirmed in recent years that extreme stress can literally break your heart and can cause minor heart attack.

Looks fade, but the trust of heart between two people is when you don't care how a person ages or what they look like when they're older because your heart trusts the love, and the love sees beauty in everything. Even the looks that have faded.

It's not that you loved how they looked when they were younger, it's that you loved them when they were younger. It's not that you don't love them when they're older, it's that you still see them as they were because you never saw them as a number. You saw their truth, and you loved them anyway. Despite their age. Because true love does that stuff. Because true love trusts.
