a couple of leafstar questions! 1) is the process of selecting her to be new!skyclan’s leader changed at all by the fact that brokenstar is now firestar’s travelling buddy? 2) is billyleaf sticking around as a ship, and how will it change, if at all? 3) is leafstar going to be as… notably dumb in her reactions to everything happening so far in ASC?

The list of SkyClan changes is probably longer than the list of things that are staying the same. Cultural expansions, a very different culture, unique politics, even an alternate Warrior Code. Real fans of SkyClan want them to be completely different <3

Leafstar's not an exception. I HATE canon Leafstar. Every action they've taken with her has felt absolutely awful since Firestar's Quest so I'm just overwriting her completely.

SkyClan's Leadership

The part of Firestar's Quietus where Firestar and Brokenstar actually CHOOSE who the new leader is going to be is a bit up in the air. I have the beginning and end with the rats figured out-- but the middle has been evading me.

I know that Brokenstar prefers Sharpclaw, at first. Probably because Sharpclaw is so aggressive and dedicated to the old ways.

So it makes sense that Firestar prefers Leafdapple. She's making him realize things about his own way of ruling, parts of Clan culture he's come to accept uncritically.

She straight up blows past his thought-terminating cliches;

Firestar: "You see, Leafdapple... you can't live with a paw in both worlds."

Leafdapple: "Pardon? I don't understand what that means?"

Firestar: "It means... um... hmm ._."

In the end, she's probably chosen exactly because she's not committed to bringing back the past. SkyClan has not been the Clan of Skystar for a long time. It's the Clan of Skywatcher.

It is no longer the Clan-in-the-Canopy, it is the Clan-in-the-Stones.

I feel that the first Leader and Deputy were chosen by Firestar and Brokenstar. Though Brokenstar's mind changes over the course of Firestar's Quietus, I think they ultimately still agree that there were two "sides" of SkyClan that should live in balance.

Leafstar, committed to fairness, abides this. Until Sharpclaw ultimately betrays her for The Kin. (Repeat link from above but if your eyes just popped out of your head it explains everything about how PROFOUNDLY differently I'm approaching The Kin lmaoo)

I hadn't planned explicitly for the deputy system to work a bit differently here, BUT it does also feel in line for Leafstar to decide it on a whim after regrouping. Surrounded by the remnants of her Clan, deputy having just turned half of their warriors against them, SkyClan's protector oak ripping itself off the cliffside and destroying their camp, she jumps up on top of a rock like, "Ok team, that sure was a doozy. Let's try to pick a better deputy this time 8)"

It feels better that deputies are popularly "elected," or at the very least nominated by the Clan. Might make for a nice climactic moment in a rework of Hawkwing's Journey.

Is Billyleaf sticking around?

Yes! But it's actually a bit different.

First of all, Leafstar is actually in a constellation with Billystorm and Echosong, the Cleric. Leafstar is mates with Billystorm and a partner of Echosong. Echosong is not romantically involved with Billystorm. SkyClan actually split off from the main Clans before the Cleric's Vow was codified by Larkstripe's strike. They don't have the same taboo against Clerics having mates or raising kittens.

Billystorm is also a massive himbo now lmao, I'm not a huge fan of him in-canon. I'm still reworking stuff here though-- I'm planning to change SkyClan and the Stranger into Sol's Game, a darker story diving into Sol, the Entity, and Harry, the vessel it courts.

But it's been a while and I need to revamp my old drafts, so that's on the backburner for now.

Is Leafstar going to remain an idiot?

absolutely not. christ. I Don't Rewrite Arcs Until They Are Done but if I ever produce something as brainless as "An entire society believes that a child is lying because her accused murderer says he heard her mother snoring evil manipulation plans in her sleep" then explode me to bits with 10000 pounds of nitroglycerin

instead of just having her and everyone else be dumb, it's an easy enough small change to just have Splashstar already be in power and show the beginning of his reign having gone smoothly. Everyone's desperate for RiverClan to have a leader again. Have Leafstar's bias be against ShadowClan specifically, because Heartstar's nephew Juniperclaw mass-poisoned her entire Clan.

Even before then, too. I don't like how the Erins seem to treat Leafstar as this "unreasonable" character who's usually some shade of wrong. I don't like how she just has to accept that Sharpclaw was undermining her for her own good in SkyClan's Destiny. I don't like how Dodge dragged SkyClan into his stupid conflict. Or how she went back to the Gorge after Juniperclaw's poisoning, only to be herded back by the noble Clan cats when a sudden flood makes their old home unsafe for some reason.

I don't like how she only seems to get a "win" when she's accepting or asserting that the Clans have the perfect way of life and she should resemble it more-- see the opening of AVoS, where it's strongly implied that Daylight Warriors being unable to fight to defend the camp at night was how The Kin was able to throw everyone out, and thus the practice has been abolished since then. I think these conflicts are frustrating in the way they're written and presented.

So quite frankly I'm tossing a lot of it. First and foremost, SkyClan's primary conflicts should be trying to keep its unique cultural identity. Secondary conflicts should be based around its political interactions with the other Clans at the lake, particularly ShadowClan and ThunderClan, which it shares borders with.

BB!Leafstar's personality is that she's assertive, fair, and polite. In my head I lovingly imagine her always speaking in the tone of a corporate manager trying to keep control of her team as the office goes up in flames around her. While she always tries to consider all perspectives and stay approachable to all her warriors, she's often misinterpreted as being passive-aggressive or not genuine.

In a nutshell: I am personally making sure she's not the sort of dumb she is in canon. I have a vision for this version of SkyClan.

How I think the Yuurivoice boys and their listeners would be grocery shopping

A little backstory I grew up, broke as fuck (still am) and my mom taught me how to get the most groceries to feed the most people with what you have. So let’s see how the Yuurivoice boys are when it comes to grocery shopping

Auron/Rook

Man is literally rich

he doesn’t budget. He just goes to the grocery store (let’s face it it’s probably Whole Foods) gets what he wants and leaves. If Rook lives with him it’s not that different they just get more stuff. but he’s very particular on things that he buys.

Not the price on anything like that no he will sit there, staring at two packages of essentially the same butter for like 15 minutes. And when rook asks what he’s doing. he gives the excuse of.

“well, if it’s going to take up room in my fridge need to make sure it’s worth the space”

My man, it is the same butter in a different packaging. 2/10

Lucien/angel

Lucien is like a child in the grocery store. He wants to touch everything he wants to look at everything he wants to get everything.

And unless it’s with like serious stuff Lucien doesn’t really know how to take no for an answer so somethings he actually succeeds in convincing Angel to get him when he wants.

angel has the problem of going to the grocery store when hungry. Causing them to buy a lot of extra snack things (that Lucien will just end up eating in one sitting anyway)

Lucien obviously gets a lot of looks when he goes grocery shopping by himself because

I mean, he’s a big red demon with horns and a tail it’s kind of hard not to stare. But the people at the local grocery store that they frequent kind of just accepted that that’s how he looks and he’s actually quite friendly with them. 5/10

Charlie/Casper

(I am totally not biased because I kin Charlie and because he’s my favorite I don’t know why you’d think that)

Charlie by himself is absolute Ass at shopping

But when he goes with Casper, they’re the best duo for shopping. It’s like a game. One day out of the last week of the month when they both have the day off is when they go grocery shopping.

Step one: wake up early in the morning, clear out all of the cabinets and the refrigerator of expired or uneaten food

Step two: use the rest of the afternoon to carve out a budget and a shopping list as well as a “reward budget”

(the reward budget is used to reward them if they go under budget and get all the groceries under the time limit that they set themselves)

Step three: night time. one hour and 20 minutes before the store closes. Charlie sits in the cart with the grocery shopping list as well as a chart with the number of isles, and what is in each aisle. They have one hour to complete their grocery shopping. if they complete it under the hour, they can use the rest of the remaining time and the reward fund. check out the last 20 minutes.

Absolute best at grocery shopping 10/10

Seth/scout

These two both are a little dumb when it comes to grocery shopping. But they get the job done

They eat a lot of the same things so they’ll get all of the ingredients they need or mixes they need in bulk like

Bulk pancake mix, a pack of three jugs of milk(thank you Costco), a pack of salad mixes.

Unless Seth has a big meal planned or they’re going camping or they’re having guests over they mostly just get prepackaged things that are easy to whip up. overall pretty good at staying on budget and sticking to the list 7/10

Alphonse/boo

Alphonse usually does the grocery shopping but when they go together they do OK decent is the word I would use to describe it. You see alphonse also has the problem of going to the grocery store hungry and boo Has to be the voice of reason.

Sometimes Alphonse likes to forget that he has a candy shop so boo will look away for one minute and then he’s just gone. Boo will eventually find him in the candy aisle, comparing prices of taffy only to be reminded that he owns a candy shop.

Boo is not that much better…… they go in the baking aisle, and they will marvel over the new sprinkles or new piping tips until Alphonse inevitably makes a dirty baking joke, and then they get their minds back on track.

Not the best for time, but not the worst when it comes to staying on budget and getting what they need 8/10

Faust/star

I am convinced these two don’t know what a grocery store is. Once again, he’s rich. he just orders food. I don’t think he knows how to cook either. so they just order food. all the time. and it’s a very particular order to. not to mention someone who looks like Faust is kind of hard to forget so most of the delivery drivers know him by name.

One time they wanted pizza and Faust remembered seeing a guy talking to Auron in a Sweet Pete’s Pizza shirt, so he ordered from there and he gets Charlie as a delivery boy

Charlie: delivery from Sweet Pete’s pizzeria! I got a large cheese, and a-…….. oh my God…

Faust: well, if it isn’t my brothers little bitch boy

Charlie remembers this interaction very vividly and tends to avoid this address at all costs

Overall 0/10 I think this man would vomit upon seeing a Walmart

Finn /sunflower

The only time that he really goes to the grocery store for big trips is during the winter and fall

(he gets very overstimulated and anxious in grocery stores)

He grows a lot of the vegetables that he uses in his every day cooking and buys a lot of other things like for baking or specific recipes in bulk specifically so he doesn’t have to go to the grocery store too often but when he does, it’s usually either in the winter time or an ingredients run/stock up

Him and sunflower will get ingredients to make certain baked goods and different tea blends but he always seems to get distracted in the garden section. Sunflower hast to forcibly drag him out of the garden section…..it’s becoming a problem

Sunflowers usually very productive with their shopping but they often times get lost in the clothes section looking at stuff that Finn would look good in (provided that he doesn’t get it covered in dirt)

Overall, they’re pretty good at sticking to budget pretty good at sticking to their list not that great on time (i’m not gonna hold it against them) 8/10

When your best friend told you it was a bad idea to go mountain biking with her boyfriend and little brother you didn’t listen. But you should have. You drove down a slope when the back wheel lost grip and slipped away. You fell out of the curve and downhill. You rolled down and hit rocks and bushes till you hit a tree with your stomach. Everything went black after that.

“Heartbeat?” “Faint but there.” Baela’s leg was bouncing up and down as she saw you laying on the aid car gurney. Blood was everywhere, she didn’t really know where it came out. Tears streamed down her face. She was scared to lose her oldest friend.

The ambulance stopped and the first aid responders opened the door so the doctors could get in. She didn’t see her boyfriend’s cousin standing off at the side as he was told what kind of injuries you had sustained. A medic came up to her and took her in their arms. “Let’s bring you to the waiting area. Your friend is in good hands.” Baela could only nod.

Aemond POV

The medic listed off the injuries of the patient. He told me to be careful when we would remove the helmet as they didn’t know if the patient sustained any head injuries. I nodded the whole time. My assistant taking notes. We move as fast as we can to the operating room.

The patient and I are prepared for surgery. My team is already waiting for me. I walk in and nod at the assisting nurse to start my playlist. ‘The Devil is a Gentleman ‘ by Merci Raines started to play. I parked out orders and began to save the life of the woman in front of me.

Hours after she was stable he began to close her minor internal injuries. Everyone breathed a sigh as he finished his work. One of his medical students closed up the opening in the woman’s stomach. “Good work, everyone.”

He walked out of the OP and shed his scraps. He washed his hands before he walked out to inform the next of kin about the successful surgery. He walked over to the waiting room and looked in. He stopped in his tracks. “Fuck!” He whispered. His cousin Jace and his girlfriend he couldn’t remember the name of sat in the waiting area. He shook his head and walked into the waiting area. He called out your name and both sprang up.

Baela rushed over to Aemond with pleading eyes. “Is she alright?” Her voice was raw and panicked. Probably from crying. “She will recover. She had minor internal bleeding we could stop immediately. Her left leg will need more time. It is broken and she will need physical rehab.”

Baela breathed out a sight. “Oh thank you!” She didn’t care if this was the asshole cousin her boyfriend always talked about when he had a family dinner. She had to hug him. He saved her best friend.

Aemond was taken back. He thought his cousin told his girlfriend to hate him like he did. Looking at his cousin, Jace was glaring at him. “When can she receive visitors?” Aemond looked at his Apple Watch, “Maybe tomorrow at ten p.m. She is still in a coma so her stomach can heal.” Jace nodded at him. “Let’s go, Baela. We have to tell Luke, Y/N is fine.” The girl tearily nodded. “Thank you so much. You saved my best friend.” Aemond smirked, “It’s my job.”

52. Marriage of Convenience 94. Hair Brushing/Braiding

Is it bad that my first thought is actually inspired by the Ob*kin fic Their fragrance came from you? There's a whole thing about Tatooine marriage braids that my mind immediately jumps to lmao

I think... let's say modern AU. Anakin is a single dad, has been for a few years. Padme died in childbirth, and while her will was made out in favor of Anakin and the kids, the executor of her will was her lawyer-mentor, Palpatine, who couldn't touch the trust funds set up for the twins (which are very large, and will become available when they turn 25, but can only be accessed for education costs before then), but did manage to somehow take almost all the liquid assets left for Anakin in bogus fees.

Anakin's still got the house, but as time passes, he's having more and more trouble with paying the property taxes. He's still managing, but the money Padme left for him is slowly dwindling, and the kids are going to start costing more as they get older, and he's already got Ahsoka living with him (she helps out with the kids so he can work, coding from home, since he's paying for her college tuition; she doesn't have to pay rent since she's a commuter student, and she's got a partial scholarship, but that's still a few thousand a year coming out of Anakin's pocket to put his little sister through underrad). Obi-Wan offered to help, but Obi-Wan lives on the other side of town and even tenured professors don't earn that much, compared to Coruscant's standard cost of living, especially since Obi-Wan adopted recently, a little girl called Reva, and--

Anakin's struggling financially, basically, which isn't a new circumstance, but he really doesn't want to lose Padme's house. Worst comes to worst, he can probably sell it back to Sola so it stays in the Naberrie family, and she'll let him keep living there, but... that's not a sure bet. The Naberries are comfortably wealthy, but it's still an entire house.

Rex, a college friend of Anakin's that went to the same aerospace program, comes back to town. He was on a military tour overseas, but got honorably discharged due to a head injury. Anakin offers to let hm sleep in the guest room, since Padme's house (it's still Padme's, in Anakin's mind), is a lot bigger than Cody's apartment, even if there are toddlers at large. Rex initially promises that he'll only stay long enough to find an apartment of his own, except he overhears Anakin on the phone with Obi-Wan about the finance stuff one day, and reaches out to a few people who have been in town more consistently for a better idea of what's going on without getting too deep into Anakin's business.

Rex manages to get a job locally; there's an airfield for hobbyists a few miles out of town, and the place is looking to hire a new engineer on staff to do repairs and checks on the small planes they keep on site. He starts making noises about moving out, and then, 'subtly,' suggests he just stay at Anakin's place and pay rent.

Anakin does not like the idea of Rex paying rent; friends don't do that! Anakin isn't going to make Rex pay rent in Anakin's home.

They don't talk about it for a few days, and then there's... IDK a night 'off,' where Obi-Wan or Sola or Aayla or Beru takes the twins for an evening, and Ahsoka goes out with friends, so Anakin can take some time off from being a Dad and just Relax.

He and Rex break out the wine, get tipsy not truly drunk, and Rex pokes at the 'just stay here' option again. The house is closer to the airfield than most apartments, and Rex can help take some of the weight off of Anakin and Ahsoka's shoulders with regards to childcare! Even if Anakin won't accept him paying rent!

Anakin argues this. Anakin's kids aren't Rex's responsibility, and Anakin doesn't need his charity (which is, of course, how he views Rex's suggestion). They go back and forth on the topic a few times, and then Rex throws out something about getting married 'for lower taxes' and 'it's not rent if it's my house too, right?' and it's. It's a joke.

Except they're both still thinking about it the next morning, with faint (but not faint enough) memories of a tipsy kiss before bed, and--

Months pass with the two of them circling around each other and Rex never quite moves out, and tax season rolls around, and Anakin is stretched so thin, even with all the cuts for children and covering a dependent's tuition and so on.

Rex quietly floats the idea of a convenience marriage again. It doesn't have to mean anything, if Anakin doesn't want it to. It's not an insult to Padme's memory, just a way of keeping her children in the house she chose for them. And it's not charity, because Rex will get tax cuts too, and better health insurance once Anakin can put him on the family plan he's got. It won't do anything for this year, but by the time the next year rolls around, Anakin will have less of a problem paying those taxes, even if that promotion he's been hoping for doesn't come through.

Anakin, eventually, agrees.

Just four months later, they tie the knot. It's a small ceremony, more than just a courthouse and a paper, just to... well, Anakin wants Rex to have this. Leia and Luke don't entirely understand what's going on, but Ahsoka told them that it means Rex is going to be staying for a lot longer than they originally planned, and they're pretty excited about that part. They're four, and 'Daddy's friend that we like a lot is staying' is pretty clear.

They don't have a 'traditional' wedding night, because they're still both looking at this as a platonic thing (it won't stay that way, but it still is for now). They do share a bed, because someone is sleeping in their guest room (IDK who, maybe a guest was too drunk post-wedding to get home and they just offered the room). Anakin's hair is long enough for an evening of people and, importantly, sticky toddler hands to have tangled it. He washes it out, comes to the bed, and looks so tired--because he had to wash the toddlers first--that Rex offers to brush it for him.

It's intimate. Gentlemanly, but intimate. They go to bed with warm cheeks and pounding hearts, and eventually, one of them rolls onto their side to cuddle.

Neither of them get much sleep that night.

Tawnypelt - I’ll be honest, I don’t know much about her bc I didn’t read the 2nd arc, but from what I get, she seems to have struggled with gaining her own identity and being seen as someone other than a clone in her family. I struggle with people only knowing me for my brothers so I relate to her for this.

Also idk her leaving Thunderclan, despite her family, friends, and everything she knows and it being genuinely a good place she is comfortable and happy with— to Shadowclan so she can start a new life just touches me personally.

I don’t want to stay here. It’s not bad here, and everyone I love is here, but I don’t feel like I belong here, and I relate to her for it.

Ennard - yeah.. no, I got nothing. Idk why but he’s just like me fr.

Dr. Iceberg - HE’S AN ASSHOLE!!! I’m an asshole!!! Easily entertained, and doesn’t think of others that much, or the consequences of his actions. + mentally ill

Phillip Graves - Daddy issues. I also headcanon his dad was in the military and he moved around a lot and lived throughout the US, so he’s fairly decent at adapting to different places, and tolerate as hell. “It is what it is” mentality about most everything out of his control.

Finds that one person and looks up to them, and gets really clingy and obsessed with them. Doesn’t show it of course, but in his head he wants to impress them and please them in every way possible. *cough, Shepherd, cough cough*

(I met a lotta people I hyperfixated on giving away everything to make them happy. We’re just casual friends now. Except for that one. She was mean as hell to me. We still meet occasionally tho.)

Outside of headcanons, his personality and the way he acts is just very familiar and relatable to me.

so first we have angel wearing a gorgeous off the shoulder black gown with gold accents.. i also imagined a black and gold feathered mask but i couldnt find any that suited what i was looking for.

next up we have baaabe.. another stunning off the shoulder gown but entirely in red with a sheer black train, i also imagine asher would have a matching red and black suit since hes their favorite accessory :D

here we have everyones favorite stealth Department Investigator, Sweetheart!! serving those blessed enough to see them in person the “undercover investigator at a ball” realness. i feel like the slit with the simple yet eloquently detailed dress is just as the french would say “tre magnifique” .. and you just know milo turned it out just as well in an all black suit detailed with pearls and perfectly picked jewelry

now one of my personal favorites and my second closest kins amongst the listener, DARLIN’ / tank / hardest bitch on the block.. wtv u wanna call her.

now see i wanted to go a different route because i feel like tank as much as she wouldnt mind wearing a custom made gown and have her hair and makeup done by professionals with the rest of the girls, i feel like she’d definitely serve in something like this still custom made and her make up still done but she did it herself bc she knows what fits her face best. shes giving a little bit of androgyny while still siding in feminine and i adore it. only thing missing would be like a small crown or headpiece of some sort that obviously matched what sam wouldve been wearing but not something to crazy or out there that it distracts from the entire outfit itself.

with lovely unlike with the rest of the girls i had a harder time figuring out what someone partnered with both the host of summit and the prince of house of solaire would wear.. but i settled on this as i feel its elevated enough to where everyone wouldnt wanna take their eyes off of her but also elegant enough for the eyes to be staying on because she looks so good. this paired with the silver and black crown i imagined her getting from vincent is just perfect

now youre probably wondering who else could i have possibly added to this list of nothing but wonderful women and pure beauties amongst the redacted cinematic universe.. the answer is . . . alexis :D

now coming from the house of solaire obviously alexis had to show up dressed down to the 9s, especially when darlin’ and lovely will be in attendance .. the nonexistent “whos the fairest of them all” competition happening in alexis’ head would only lead her to wear this gorgeous, obviously designer, all black floor length gown of which is more than likely one of a kind and a very special piece to her. when i imagine alexis, well i dont really have to imagine when i heard her voice during the imperium i kind of already knew what kind of fashion sense she would go for. and thats why she was honestly the easiest to pick for this.

I do write for Obey Me, as well as a list of other Fandoms. I should probably update the list, tho.

However, as of now, I am not accepting any more requests until August 20th because I will be adjusting my schedule to accommodate my writing and my schoolwork.

Lucifer

It is purely comical how short you are compared to him and his brothers. He would be one of the ones to tease you about your height, and you would get mad. It was a lot like how he called Luke a dog or a Chihuahua (fun fact, I have a German Taco dog myself!)

He understands your strong desire to maintain order within the household, however it has been proven to be more than difficult. You would not let this stand, and you’re always looking for a challenge anyway. Every time any of the brothers broke a rule of the House of Lamentation, you would collar them.

He gets a bit concerned whenever you dive very deep into your studies and limit yourself to certain activities. You would rather stay in and study for a test that isn’t for another 2 months rather than go out to dinner with him. Some days, he would drag you to Hell’s Kitchen and just not give you a choice.

When he asks about why you’re so dedicated to the rules, you tell him about the one time where you went against your mother’s commands and got in really bad trouble for it. The free study time you had was immediately revoked and she watched you like a hawk.

After a few months, you just can’t take it anymore. You are done with how your hard work never gets noticed or how the brothers keep breaking the rules. You were just so tired. So, it led to your inevitable overblot.

No one knows what’s going on, all they know is that you are covered in ink and you have what seems like a monster trailing behind you. No one knows… except Lucifer. You see, he had asked a bunch of questions about where you’re from and you told him about overblot and how it works. He (rather easily) defeats you and you are lying unconscious. He carries you to your room where you can rest until you wake up.

When you do, you tell him about how you were raised in such a toxic household. Your parents never got along and your mother was just horrible… probably worse than the Red Queen herself. As Lucifer listened to you, he was growing angrier that you had to endure such pain in your life.

Mammon

How in the hell did you agree to go out with this man?! Did you gain an attraction to rule breakers or something? As you can probably already tell, your personalities are going to clash… but you really took the whole “opposites attract” thing seriously.

He’s the main source of the chaos in the House of Lamentation. He’s the headache that keeps coming and going every time he walks in and out of the room you’re in. He has been beheaded so many times it’s not funny anymore.

He acts attention starved whenever you are studying. He will drape himself over your lap to get your attention. Sad golden retriever energy right here. Whenever you decline a date and choose books over him, he will get upset.

He definitely asks why you aren’t paying attention to him and out of exasperation you spilled the tea. You told him that the one time you slacked off, you got in a lot of trouble for it and you would never make that mistake again. He was sad that you called hanging out with him a ‘mistake’.

After a few months of him following you around like a lost puppy while also tending to the other brothers (and by tending to, I mean collaring). You eventually snapped and started cackling out of nowhere. Ink started pouring from your mouth and started covering your skin. The brothers were all in shock as your voice had another accompanying it. It looked like a creature was dragging on behind you as well.

You became aggressive, causing the brothers to turn into their demon forms. You were destroying the garden as well as some of the house. He then remembers that this is life-threatening for you. Your body wasn’t meant to withstand the raw negative energy surging through you.

After tiring you out, you eventually pass out. He volunteers to carry you to your room, where he waits by your bedside until you wake up. When you do, you tell him about the borderline abuse you went through growing up. Mammon made a vow that he tries his hardest to keep: to make sure you never have to go through anything like that again.

Leviathan

He wouldn’t comment on your height. He likes you too much, he can barely talk to you normally. How do you expect him to tease you about something out of your control? However, he will still be poking fun at Luke… unless you tell him to stop.

He usually doesn’t cause as much chaos, considering he’s locked up in his room. You understand that social anxiety is real and so you applaud him for finding a way around this obstacle (remember? Virtual classes). You only wish that the students back at Heartslabyul were as resourceful.

He won’t directly ask you for attention. He’s gonna gaslight you. Talking about the whole, “Of course you wouldn’t want to pay attention to me. I’m just a yucky otaku, after all.” You, coming from the toxic family you have, were able to see right through his pick-me boy facade. You told him that you needed to study and would hang out with him when you had free time.

When you finally get fed up with him, you yell at him to go away and leave you alone. You also added the “you act worse than my mother, and she was absolutely insufferable!” and now he looks like a kicked puppy.

One day, he noticed that you were collaring your friends left and right, while your face was red in anger. It truly looked like you were a volcano about to erupt. You snapped at everyone who dared step in front of you. Then, you erupted. The ‘lava’ was ink, seeping from your mouth and crawling all over. A monster started forming behind you, and it was huge.

Each brother turned into their demon forms and teamed up to defeat you. Levi knew this wasn’t you. Your voice was two-toned, and it reminded him of a game he had played a while ago. If it were anything like that game, then he knew it was life-threatening for you to be in this state.

Once you passed out, he stayed by your side. He wouldn’t leave you for one second, not even to eat. Whenever someone tried to take him out of the room, he’d attack them. When you woke up, he apologized. It was a sad and genuine apology. You forgave him, but told him that he’d have to build up your trust in him again.

Satan

Wouldn’t directly make fun of your height. He would do this thing where he uses you as an arm-rest to remind you of how short you are. Also, he would either hand you a ladder when you are reaching for something, or he’d lift you like Rafiki did to Simba in The Lion King.

He understands your unusually strong desire to maintain order. If he could collar his brothers, he would with no hesitation. However, it irritates him whenever he is the one with the collar on. He makes it a point to never make you angry again.

He also understands why you dive so deep into your studies. He would much rather keep his nose in a book than go out with his brothers any day. He gets angry whenever you turn him down and study instead, though.

After a while in the Devildom, you start getting stressed. Making sure everyone followed the rules, trying to stay on top of assignments, trying to maintain the social aspect of your life… it wasn’t good for your mental wellbeing. It was just too much for you to deal with. So, you accumulated too much overblot.

Ink started flowing out of your mouth and spreading to your arms and legs. Your voice was accompanied by a voice that went 5 octaves lower than normal. Satan saw you transforming and it almost came as a complete shock… almost. If he only saw the signs that were right in front of him, he could have prevented this somehow.

He and his brothers easily tired you out and you fell. He carried you to your room and laid you on your bed. He left for a brief moment and came back with a book. He planned to read the story of Alice in Wonderland to you.

As he read to you, he noticed that your fingers started twitching. He took your hand in his, kissed your knuckles, and whispered many apologies to you. When your eyes fluttered open, he pulled you into a tight embrace, mainly to hide his tears of relief.

Asmodeus

He’s the shortest of his brothers, so he doesn’t make fun of you. Instead, he would give you tons of compliments. He would also have fun making outfits for you based on the Queen of Hearts. He loves the bold reds and gold paired with black and white.

He’s the life of the party, so your personalities tend to clash a lot. The amount of times he’s been collared is astronomical. However, he takes it any other way besides a form of punishment and will style his outfits accordingly.

Also, he doesn’t like to study at all. He hates it when you don’t go out with him and instead you have your nose in a textbook. He will pick you up and carry you out of the house if he has to, but you have to go shopping with him >:(

When you tell him about your toxic mother, he’s the kind of demon to hand you a box of tissues and comfort you. He is angry that you had to go through such a traumatic childhood. Then he’ll take you shopping to take your mind off of your horrible memories.

With each time you collar someone, you accumulate quite a bit of overblot. Because the brothers can’t go 5 minutes without breaking some sort of rule, you gain too much overblot. As he saw the ink spread all over you, he felt guilt consume him. This was his fault.

When he and his brothers took you down, you fell to the floor. After bringing you to your room, he will make sure that you are well taken care of. He can’t help but feel responsible and therefore obligated to do these things for you.

When you wake up, he will cry tears of joy. He will help you out of your bed and shout for everyone else. He apologizes so many times, it’s not even funny anymore. However, that guilt still consumes him to this day.

Beelzebub

He’s too nice to make fun of your height. He might make fun of Luke, but that’s because he’s technically a child. It’s like calling him ‘kid’. Being the tallest brother, however, he will help you if you need anything from the top shelf.

You have a rule where no one can eat your tarts without your permission. You have told him again and again about this rule. He forgets one day and violates that rule and he was stuck with a collar around his neck until he apologized and made you another tart.

I don’t think he minds studying too much. He’s doing better than Mammon academically, so yeah. Plus, if he didn’t have good grades, he’d probably be kicked off of the Fangol team. You just have to have tons and tons of snacks if you want him to pay attention and not eat the assignment. However, he doesn’t like it when you choose studying over hanging out with him.

While taking a nap with your usual sleeping buddies, you have a horrible nightmare. Your insufferable tyrant of a mother caught you outside with a tart in your hand. You woke up screaming and both Beel and Belphie looked at you for an explanation.

Once you told them about your traumatic life, Beel proceeded to hold you in a bear-hug. He didn’t know you went through such a tough time so young. He felt angry at your mother for traumatizing you.

After a few months of collaring people, stressing over assignments, and trying to follow the rules of the House of Lamentation in addition to the Queen’s… you overblot. It scared him because you told him that it could be life-threatening. He didn’t want to lose you.

After defeating you, he carried you to your room. He stayed by your bedside everyday and night. When you wake up, he pulls you into a tight hug. No words were exchanged, but you knew that he was promising to you that you would never have to go through anything like that again.

Belphegor

He definitely would point out your height at any chance he gets. He would call you “short”, “shortie”, “shortcake”, and he would lean on you like you were an arm-rest. He would taunt you whenever you tried reaching for something high up as well.

He doesn’t understand your strong dedication to the rules. He also doesn’t like when he gets collared for sleeping. Like, it’s not something he can control! It’s not fair! You think rule-breaking is black and white, but he tries to get you to see the grey area.

He may sleep during class, but he retains the information in his sleep. Therefore, he has pretty decent grades. However, he doesn’t enjoy it when you choose to study rather than cuddle him while napping. Like, how rude >:(

While napping with him one time, you have a nightmare. Belphie notices you tossing and turning while crying and he wakes you up. When you tell him that your mother was in your nightmare, he uses his power to get you back to sleep and have a more peaceful dream.

When you wake up and tell him that your mother has been watching over your every move since you could remember. You would be punished if you got anything less than 1st place in anything. You’ve been practicing magic since you could read spells. He gives you a hug and tells you that your mother isn’t here and that you could take it easy now. He’d protect you (sure…)

After about a year passes for you in the Devildom, your stress levels reach an all time high. You are collaring people who break even the slightest rule, you are worrying about assignments that aren’t even due until a few weeks, plus you died so you just weren’t the happiest camper. As a result, you overblot. Belphegor feels guilty. How could he not? He is responsible for 2 of 3 of the factors of your overblot. He uses his powers to make you go to sleep, so you fall. He has Beel carry you to your room and place you in your bed. Belphie lies next to you and waits until you wake up.

I got top surgery on Wednesday 9th November 2022 and thought I would record the experience here in case it could help anyone. Basically a step by step of the process (with a few problems along the way). I’m happy to answer any questions anyone might have.

The receptionist confirmed who I was, my address, and how to contact my next of kin, then checked I'd had no covid symptoms for the past 30 days and no one in my family had any them in the past 90. We still remain super careful due my grandmother being 91 and my mother being immunocompromised so everything was good.

My ward nurse took me to my private room. I was very pleased about not being on an open ward as I can have odd sleeping patterns. She said my name and then my deadname which after I stiffly corrected her she apologised and pointed to her nametag which said her name was my old one. Ironic and much better than the first thing the medical staff doing being deadnaming me lol

She went through my list of meds with me (quite a few) and gave me a special sponge to use in the shower to disinfect myself and change into a medical gown. Despite the radiator not being on the room was sweltering (in November) so I had to ask them to open my window. Was definitely thankful for the warmth after I got back from surgery as I was very cold then.

A woman with a massive menu came round and asked what I wanted in my post-op sandwich, for dinner that night, and breakfast the next morning, I'm normally an NHS patient (not really sure what the equivalent is in the US, maybe medicare? - but it's basically the underfunded underpaid free healthcare and I was referred to a private hospital because their waiting lists were too long.) With the NHS you get whatever food you get and this place was like a fucking restaurant!

The surgeon then came by to draw lines and dots on my chest, then the anaesthesiologist to go through my meds again. When I told him I had a phobia of needles he said he'd be happy to provide me with laughing gas before he put the canula in. The nurse then fitted me with compression socks, which help prevent blood clots post surgery. They weren't uncomfortable at all, just felt like regular socks but with no toes. I have to wear them for 2 weeks after the surgery.

I waited in my room for two hours so even if you're not staying overnight I'd recommend you bring some form of entertainment. I brought my laptop with some books downloaded onto it and obviously a direct line with home so I could keep them up-to-date.

A new nurse then came in, got me into a dressing gown and took me down to the operating theatre. They didn't undress me until I was unconscious, just rolled down one gown sleeve to put a blood pressure cuff on. The surgeon rubbed a local anaesthetic into the back of my hand and had a bit of trouble finding a vein for the canula (which wasn't unexpected as I have very poor circulation). While he was doing this the nurse held the laughing gas mask over my face, which made me light headed and a bit slurred when I spoke.

There wasn't any slow falling asleep or blur out like on TV when he injected me with the anaesthetic. One moment I had the laughing gas mask on, then I blinked and had an oxygen mask on and was in the recovery room. I didn't realise everything had been done, but my body certainly knew something was up as it almost immediately went into shock.

Would NOT recommend doing that!

Can safely say it was the worst pain I've ever felt, a sharp stabbing sensation across the whole of my chest. The only thing I could think was that if I moved it would be worse so I had to stay as still as possible. It took a dose of Morphine and 3 doses of Fentanyl before the pain lessened. I was too out of it know how long they took between doses but they seemed pretty on it so even though it felt like a long time in that level of pain it probably wasn't. They were insistent on verbal responses from me between doses.

I was wheeled back to my room and have a foggy memory of three nurses clustered around me all quite worried about how blue my fingers were. Things got better from there quickly though, had no nausea or dizziness when a nurse helped me up to go to the bathroom, so had a sandwich and they gave me Tramadol for the residual pain. Ate dinner without a problem (rich peoples' hospitals and their actual food, dude!) and had no constipation from the anaesthetic.

Didn't sleep well but I never do in places that aren't home, and the nurses were coming in every 2-3 hours to check my blood pressure and the drains. In the morning the left drain had a lot more blood coming out than the right so the surgeon decided to keep me in another night. In the end we had 50ml in the right and 300ml in the left and I bled onto the bed quite a bit around the area where the left drain was in. Apparently one side just sometimes bleeds more.

Having the drains out the next day was... an experience. I was still on the Tramadol and the pinch of pain wasn't so bad, but the sliding sensation of a rather long tube coming out of me felt real weird. The background pain dropped a LOT as soon as they were out. Minor leakage around the left wound, but nothing too bad.

Had fresh bandages put on then two nurses wrapped me up in a binder like a burrito. The stiff material of the binder is gonna be right up in your armpits so I'd recommend you do something about any hair you have there before you go. I ran a hair trimmer over both pits.

I can't really offer any advice about if you have a long car ride home. I had a 90 minute drive (as the passenger obvs) and I had black edging into the corners of my vision by the end of it. Standing up before getting into the car was fine, but then not being able to breathe properly plus the movement of the car made me feel very light-headed and nauseous. Went straight to bed when I got home and feel much better since I've woken up. Can do basic movements of putting on a button up shirt, brushing my teeth, etc, but was standing up for twenty minutes to talk to someone and that was enough for me. Have been taking codeine as a painkiller as that's what I take for other issues - have a little burning and aching across my chest (and chafing in my my armpits >.<) but nothing I wouldn't expect from just having had surgery.

Maedhros + Mairon team up AU: After Luthien and Beren nab the silmaril and scram, Melkor actually does give chase and follows them south towards Doriath, and he cuts through Nan Dungortheb where he is ambushed by Ungoliant's spawn (I think if he was alone, given how physically weak he is at this point in time + just having woken up from Luthien's spell, he'd be easy prey) who take him and his crown with the remaining two silmarils and bear him to the south of the continent where Ungoliant has been waiting to exact revenge and claim/consume the jewels. Mairon comes home after having lost Tol-in-Gaurhoth to find Angband in panic, not being able to find Melkor anywhere. He decides to infiltrate Himring, it being the closest center of elven activity and information that is also open enough to travelers, etc. for a new face to pass unnoticed, to see if he can find out if the enemy has Melkor. Maedhros, having had him as a visitor for 30+ years while hanging off a cliff, recognizes him pretty quickly despite the disguise. They team up and go on a life-changing fieldtrip to the south of Beleriand to retrieve one dark lord (for Mairon) and two silmarils (for Maedhros).

Maeglin in Rivendell AU: Maeglin either is brought back by the Powers to help in the War of the Ring (yes, it's inspired by that one poll a while back XD) or actually somehow survived (I haven't decided which I prefer) and ends up in Rivendell. Not really a cohesive linear plot kind of fic, as much as a series of character interactions/exploration of themes: Maeglin and Elrond, Maeglin and Glorfindel, Maeglin and Eowyn, Maeglin and Frodo, to list a few of my top ones.

Eol makes a stone that outshines the silmarils AU: @melkors-defense-attorney and @mirkwood-hr-department take equal share of the blame credit for this completely wild idea yes it still lives rent free in my head, I have not forgotten about it XD. Basically, Eol is much closer to the dwarves than he is to his own kin, and would probably be more comfortable going to them for courtship advice re: Aredhel. Hence, presenting her with the shiniest rock as a gift early on in her stay at Nan Elmoth. Problem is, she has seen the silmarils, so it would have to be an extra shiny rock. He accidentally makes a stone that outdoes the silmarils; cascading world-wide consequences follow XD (These include: angry Feanorians; angry Melkor, at not having the Shiniest Thing™ and seeking Eol out in his forest a la Evil Queen style, to trade his two silmarils for this one; Eol (in this timeline, never having been to Angband) being so isolated he literally doesn't recognize Melkor and slamming the door in Melkor's face ("no solicitors!!"); angrier Melkor (that's two door-slamming elves now); angrier Feanorians (that Melkor would seek to trade the silmarils with Eol of all people); one very swoony Aredhel at the balls of this elf throwing the Dark Lord out on his ass.)

Fanfic Writing Questions

1. How many works do you have on AO3?

2. What's your total AO3 word count?

204,980 so far!

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Right now, Arknights. If Ex Astris gets any more content though I'll probably lunge for it again. I'm also always open to writing Vocaloid stuff even though I'm a little embarrassed looking back at some of my earlier works. I don't write for RWBY or Danganronpa anymore. I've been kinda hurt by people in those fandoms and I'm baby (or was baby) so it kinda killed my heart for it.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos? 1. From Hell to the Moon - 953 kudos My gigantic Touko/Komaru fic from back when Ultra Despair Girls had me in an absolute chokehold. I still love them but I kinda fell off from updating because I got a lot of comments like 'ughh i'm so sad this will never get updated' and the pressure got to me. 2. Between the Li[n]es - 425 kudos Another one I left on a massive cliffhanger for Danganronpa V3, my Miu/Kokichi/K1-B0 fic. I appreciate the support it received so much. I do enjoy writing robot sex. I fell off of updating because I made a friend in the fandom that kinned Kokichi pretty hard and seemed to feel like he was a much 'softer boi' than the way I wrote him and implied that my Kokichi was OOC and even though I didn't really believe it...well, you become your actions, so, by kind of, tolerating their interpretation it kind of neutered my own. We haven't talked in years. Sometimes I think about writing a quickie update chapter but I'm too into my other writing. As one comment put it: "came to nut, stayed for the feels", so I felt pretty damn good about the naughty scenes in this one. One of the more vulgar things I've published.

3. Other Side - 288 kudos My first fic for the RWBY fandom! I wrote it right after the Weiss trailer came out and we knew nothing, so a lot of the story is nothing like how the characters act now. I look back on it pretty fondly because it got me out of a pretty bad writing rut, but it's kinda bittersweet because I've moved on from RWBY. Still a sucker for Ruby/Weiss and I was overjoyed when Ice Queendom came out and gave them some spotlight. 4. Amor fati - 188 kudos My beloved golden child chenmiya fic. It makes me so happy to see this one climbing high into the list even though it's the most recent. A lot of tender love and care went into writing this and reading this is the key to my heart. Nothing excites me more than comments on this or any of my other chenmiya fics. It's basically my love letter to the ship. 5. Secondhand Smoke - 177 kudos One of my early entries into the ~problematic yuri~ genre from when Cinder/Ruby from RWBY had me by the throat. I got a lot of much-appreciated appreciation for writing these two and I remember this being the year that a bunch of my artist friends drew me Cinder/Ruby for my birthday! I'd never had anything like that happen before and I felt so loved.

5. Do you respond to comments? Sometimes! If you leave a lengthy comment I try to at least pop in and cry about how much it means to me haha.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Sour Grapes, easily. But is anyone surprised?

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Definitely dodecatheon meadia. If ever I've written something I can consider to have a true fairytale ending, this is the one. This one really healed my heart too! I felt like I had a real fire under me while writing it and these girls have deeply affected me. I don't want to say too too much about it since some people are very likely still finishing the game. But it's also a new feeling to be the first fic in a tag!

8. Do you get hate on fics? Thankfully not really.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Yeah, I sure do, almost exclusively-but I tend to have myself in this hostage situation of, "please make a 50k-100k epic to perfectly justify the characters having sex" that I occasionally escape containment from. I've gotten a little better at just laying the foundations quickly and getting to what I like to write, but it can still be a struggle because I get a little perfectionist with it. Which is funny because to me the 'perfect' smut doesn't exist, and it's made 'perfect' through the imperfections. I think the little bumps and hiccups and misunderstandings along the way are a lot more compelling to me than having everything go without a hitch, but there's definitely exceptions and different circumstances! Like when that's a big part of the story-like a character really really in control for another character's safety. When I write robot sex or medfet there tends to be a bit more detail about the safety side of things because I like to take the reader through the experience of safety too. I never turn right to the camera and go 'and now the safe way to do it is x' but I rely on the characters to express their expertise to each other, and their reassurance, and for the trust of the other character to speak for itself. haha, i rambled.

this is why for the lin/chen/amiya bondage i'm working on writing that i have a notebook with several pages of questions that lin goes through before tying people up. things like 'if you start to cry, does that mean you need to stop, or is that just what you need?'

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

Not really, the only one I've kind of written was the Ex Astris/Arknights one in dodecatheon meadia, based lightly off the fact that the games did a collab and I wanted to acknowledge them with the outfits of those girls from another world that they didn't quite get to know.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Oh, just once. But it was SO long ago and the person was pretty young I think and they were ashamed and took it down right away, so live and let live.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Some kind folks translated Sour Grapes into Chinese! I asked them for a link to where it ended up but I don't think they totally understood what I was asking. I was flattered nonetheless.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? No, I haven't. I do a lot of rping though still, though less publicly than I used to. I think if I co-wrote anything and published it it would have to be with @lanymme because she's my most trusted peer! When we talk about writing things and whenever she gives me feedback, she is so kind and spirited about it in a way that pushes me to do my best. Her encouragement is truly so earnest and even though I can be a little protective of my writing she has a really nice way about her of discussing how to make it stronger without making me ever feel like I'm not 'enough' as an author. I can't overstate how much I value her companionship; as an editor and a good friend and just lovely person overall. And when she leaves huge comments on my fics spotting all the little painstaking details I put in and mentioning them-what better satisfaction can there be as a writer? I always intend to do the same back but I am always just so floored and wiped out by the quality of her writing that I atomize before I can form cohesive thoughts. It just makes it all the more impressive that she can put together a fucking. bibliography of the story's moments and her reactions. So lanymme I hope you know how much I adore your style. /)///(\

14. What's your all time favorite ship? Chenmiya. I sort of felt inklings of it all throughout the beginning of the story and then chapters 7 and 8 sealed my coffin shut. Amiya sort of represents, I think, the idealism that Ch'en had wanted to believe in growing up. The world was really cruel and Ch'en adapted in her own ways, but she...rejects Amiya a bit because I feel like in her heart she can't let herself get too attached. She knows-or thinks she knows-that Amiya will lose hope and she'll feel that heartbreak all over. But slowly, her optimism and continued efforts to just...keep going, in a world that is cold, a world that shows her cruelty-it reaches Ch'en. And even though Ch'en puts up her front at first, Amiya's ultra-high empathy helps her understand who Ch'en really is, and she has the maturity to not begrudge her for the way she's processed things up to the events of chapter 7 and 8. As she puts it, "I saw the color of her heart", when talking about how Ch'en interacted with the kids in the slums that didn't have anyone else. And then she launches a rescue for Ch'en, and ends up so linked up with her memories and emotions that she just like. Becomes the other half of her soul in that fight. Amiya arrives with her optimism and hopes on the sheer chance that Ch'en is still alive and still needs her help and goes up the tower alone to find her and she does even against all odds. She talks about how she wants to cry when she sees her. In Ch'en's hour of need, Amiya arrives carrying the hopes of what she wanted to be herself, and they fight a battle where they are alone, saving each other, promising each other that they can do it, and they come out alive.

There are so, so so many more details about them. Ch'en's wishes for Amiya to call her by first name in a closer way, the way that Amiya shyly, obstinately continues to add some form of honorific for her. The way Ch'en inherited her abusive father's rhetoric and echoed his lines to Amiya to try to get her to distance herself from her in the beginning, only to apologize at the top of the tower and tell her she wishes she'd met her earlier.

But the main thing I always think about, at the top of the tower, is where black-snake-controlled Talulah puts Amiya in a prison of fire specifically to goad Ch'en. She wraps her in flames and says "I wonder how her melting flesh will smell"/something akin to that and Ch'en loses her mind and yells as her to "don't touch her!" and says "I'm the one you want, let her go!" etc., you know, all the good shit. So my interpretation of the scene is this: since the black snake can't make Talulah do something she doesn't actually want to do, I've always felt that the feelings behind that scene were of Talulah wanting someone close to her to really, truly understand how it feels to lose someone you love, and she saw Amiya to Ch'en as being someone analogous to what Alina was to herself. I think even if you read Ch'en's feelings for Amiya as non-romantic, Amiya was still so so dearly important to her to make her react that way, and that the black snake being cruel enough to try to leverage their relationship to, ultimately, kill Ch'en, who was Talulah's last tether to not losing control of herself fully-was so outrageously heinous. Ch'en could have killed herself trying to get Amiya out, which would have been what the black snake wanted most of all, since it couldn't quite urge Talulah to kill Ch'en directly, and it would have done so by preying on both Talulah's love/sorrow for Alina and Ch'en's love for Amiya.

15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Between the Li[e]s. Danganronpa fandom just hurts too much.

16. What are your writing strengths? Aside from dialogue, I think my other big strength is that I'm not afraid to write what I want even if and especially if it's fucked up. I also feel like another strength of mine is that the characters will take over for me, and get me to write them truly as they are without letting me change them. Even if that results in me writing things I'm very embarrassed and shy about writing.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? I lack discipline. I need to get myself consistently writing more, but it's hard for me to make time to do it.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I don't tend to do more than a few phrases, and only then if it's a character's native language and I want them to call someone a cute nickname or something.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Princess Tutu. I was 13. it was the 4th of July. I was supposed to be in bed asleep. But I was using the string lights illumination to light up my journal and it was then for the very first time I felt the feeling of realizing that I could make anything happen that I wanted.

It was not very good at all! But I treasure the memories of having boundless energy to write with because I was just so excited to see something become real from something that had only till then been inside of me.

20. Favorite fic you've written?

dodecatheon meadia. maybe it's surprising because it's not one of my headliner chenmiya fics, but-it's a secret chenmiya fic if you squint!

and honestly even though the story of ex astris is a little patchy at times, by the end you feel just...gripped by the world building and by yan and vi in particular. so i remember writing for them, desperate to see the happiest ending i could make, weaving it in with the canon with as many of my favorite details as possible, and it felt so good. i wrote pretty much nonstop for a week straight and finished it. the feeling of just-DYING to write was burning under my skin after finishing the game and the satisfaction of finishing the fic was magical, even if it came with the usual...idk, 'fanfic post-partum' of sending your writing out into the world when it's all done.

...can i just list yu yu hakusho 5 times LOL god i fucking love that anime so much ive been hyperfixated on ever since i first watched it a few years ago gkdbjfbf that said, biiig surprise what my number one is:

1. Yu Yu Hakusho ⭐️

THIS SHOW CHANGED MY BRAIN CHEMICALS. I CANT PROPERLY EXPRESS HOW MUCH I ABSOLUTELY FUCKING ADORE THIS CAST OF CHARACTERS. THAT LIL DUDE IN THE MIDDLE?? HIEI, THE LOVE OF MY LIFE, I ADORE HIM SO MUCH, HES SUCH A WONDERFUL CUTE TSUNDERE BASTARD. literally the main cast is full of characters with "contradicting" traits that just work SO WELL in making them interesting and fun

kuwabara (the one in blue) is a precious himbo, a very loud delinquent kid who loves to fight but has an honor code he will ALWAYS abide by and has a cute little kitten he adores!!!

yusuke (the one in green) is similarly a delinquent and, honestly, is more of an asshole LOL but he despite his rudeness he doesnt hesitate to put his life on the line for others!

hiei MY LOVE is The Edgy One and always acts like they rest in the group arent his friends but he always is there to help when hes needed and clearly worries for their safety 🥰 and he has a sister hes very sweet and protective over!!! and hes also just Full Of Trauma that i wont get into as more of his backstory is revealed later in the show. and hes just an absolute badass and really hot,,, (forces myself to move on or ill just ramble endlessly about him)

THEN theres hieis lover partner kurama (the red head, and my big kin!!!!), whos by far the sweetest of the 4, is a total mamas boy, BUT hes also a centuries old fox demon known for his thievery and cruelty and was changed when he was almost killed and had to transfer his soul into an unborn human child to stay alive, where his human mom's love changed him to be kinder :'3 (none of that is a spoiler really, this is info he literally states very soon after his introduction) but even though hes changed, hes still can be absolutely RUTHLESS to his enemies. even hiei states early on that he chose kurama as his partner because he wouldnt want him as an enemy

AHEM okay. thats enough rambling about my hyperfixation for now i think fhkzhfjd i probably wont be rambling much about the other ones i just really really REALLY love yyh

2. My Hero Academia

i was biiig hyperfixated on this show for a while there, i just absolutely LOVE stories that explore the gray areas of things, so when this show gets into that sorta shit with the hero society its a BIG fave. plus the characters are really fun, todoroki is my fave hehe

3. She-ra (reboot)

another previous hyperfixation, i just really love these characters and honestly theyre so fun to ship in a big ol poly pile lol. tbh i miss being fixated on this one, i had sooo much fun with it ♡

4. Talentless Nana

this was a shorter hyperfixation, but MAN this show gave me EMOTIONS. i dont wanna say too much about it because i think its best to watch the first episode without knowing too much about it, but there is a BIG TWIST at the end of the first episode, and the "genre" of the show completely shifts for all of the episodes after it. if you like darker series, i def recommend this one :3 i just hope itll get more seasons!! but at least theres the manga to continue on with after the first season!

5. Avatar the Last Airbender

an absolute classic from my childhood ♡ itll always be one of my faves!! the characters, the story, the world, i love it so much !!! i still wish i could be a water or fire bender ^w^

honestly it feels weird not putting up a sonic show on here, but when i think about it i never was the biggest on the shows and have always been way more attached to the games canon. though sonic x is def still a classic from my childhood too owo

The list with my most important and noticable identities that I've mentioned yesterday. I knew it would become more text so feel free to read only what interests you the most :}

Let's start with the Werewolf which is the most common here. There was a time in life, where I heavily tried to deny it but never really succeeded. But in that time, it was more the desire to howl and to be on all fours. To be free. But I dealt less with phantom limbs like ears and tail (which are now again almost always there. Especially the ears) I count my multiple fantasy worlds into this one section cuz, yea it's all wolf. Doesn't matter if it's Wolf's Rain, Wolfblood, Teenwolf or the story with Mark, that I've going on for about half a year now lol. As I got older, I noticed, that not only I definitely don't want to be in the alpha role, but also, that I was wrong with only wanting to be a wolf. That's the problem of being a werewolf. When you're too long in the role of a human, you'll eventually need a break, but so the same with only being a wolf. You'll always need both in your life, but at the same time you'll never really belong somewhere.

InuYashas Wife. Yea, it's stupid to be in love with someone fictional, I'm aware, but even tho, I still can develop crushes on other guys, my heart still somehow belongs to him. He saved my life and spent so many ears on my side, that when we went different paths, it felt like a part of my soul left me. It got so quiet in my mind (so quiet, and lonely, that I became depressed again). I still miss him and wish I wouldn't have fcked it up (which was more the fault of my ex bestie, but I realized that a bit too late). Two years ago, I fought my blockage and spoke to him for the first time again, because he came up to me with the information, that he has a daughter now. I instantly developed mother feelings for her. I still hope, that we'll get closer together in the future again, but right now it's probably for the best if we stay apart. It hurts, but I pretty much got used to it. I still can't really rewatch the anime or amv's. It's not as bad as it was a few years ago but yea. The feelings are still there and there's still a part of my soul missing that he took with him.

Then we have Invisible Vectoria (short VEC). Some people might heard of her before. She's my OC kin and a mix between Laughing-Jack and a Diclonious. Just as I miss to run on all fours and have a tail and ears, I miss my vectors pretty badly. She was the part of me, that pushed my werewolf-self aside and made me deny it. She was the one, who was my salvation and my curse at the same time. Because she was there, I could let out all the madness in my mind without actually living it out (Even tho, she wanted to do it so badly). She was the main character of my stories that I wrote, where she could do everything she wanted. Now I'm in a state, where I try to deny her again, but it's just not so simple. Violence still kinda turns me on. I don't want to feel like that but yea... Just as I never really got rid of being a werewolf in the times where I tried to, I can't get rid of her.

Then there's the Shinigami (Kuroshitsuji) part of me. The only dream job I felt like was made for me, was being a shinigami. If I had the validation that, just as in the anime, suicide would turn you into a shinigami, I wouldn't have hesitated at all. In that time I met Eric and Alan, which are still the most important beings in my life. It already hurt when Inu left me. But if these two would leave me, I wouldn't know how to stay alive. ((Grell was my best friend back then until my exbestie forced me into a relationship with him. So he was the reason, why I felt like I cheated on Inu. Stupid huh? I know. But that's how loyal I am.)) I spend many years in the Shinigami role, and I truly miss it. I'm thinking about rewatching the anime, but I know what will happen- I will have shifts of that personality for a looong while again and many many bittersweet memories will flood my mind. I can bet on that lol. Oh yea, also, for the first time, I was glad, that I had glasses myself. The werewolf side always hated them and their unnatural feeling and so, when I was a kid, my mom had to train me, to keep em on. Every evening, when I kept my glasses on for a day, I got a little toy figure. Like a dog gets a treat when he did what he was supposed to lol. I still wish, that I wouldn't need them, but the shinigami part of me was proud and happy and I could accept them for the first time.

And also the dragon(rider) from httyd. I would say I'm more of a rider but I still wonder, where my phantom wings come from, that I have from time to time lol. I had already multiple dreams of riding on the back of a dragon and also own two Skrill dragons. Well, one is more like a good friend who visits me often but still lives free. And then there's my Skrill kiddo, that hatched from an egg in my presence. She's completely pink (the underside of the wings and her chest are light pink. I already posted a pic of her here) but her eyes are more blueish. I called her Nyssa (which translates to Fairy) and she's not the best when it comes to flying. She's still very clumsy, but I think she'll get better the older she gets. Me and Dagur were best friends and he also teached me how two write in ruins. I also miss this world a lot cuz I rarely spend time there.

And last but not least we have Spirit (stallion of the cimarron). To be honest, I still don't know if he's an actual kin of mine, but I still have a strong connection to him, the movie and the soundtracks. Every song fits perfectly to me or a situation I was in. His whole life story kinda happened in my life as well. Of course not in the literal way. More theoretically. The song "get off of my back" was translated into "bleib bloß von mir weg" which means "just stay tf away from me" in german and so all lyrics could also connect to my werwolf side.

There are also still some other things like the whole thing with the fallen angel, something zombie like and the phantom wings but I still can't seem to figure them out.

All these things are still a big part of who I am, but in the last years, I always put my werewolf-self in the front and put anything else back. And I'm not able to connect them all. I mean how would I? But it annoys me, that if someone would ask me "hey I can send you into a reality that you want the most" I couldn't respond and wouldn't know which one to pic. I want the body of a werewolf, but so I want vectors. I couldn't live without Eric and Alan but also would forever miss and hate myself for not picking Inu. And watching my little dragon grow up and live a life so free on the back of a dragon, who would want to miss that? I really couldn't decide.

And Bone gets sent on all the jobs that are too dirty for Terry to do. Bone eliminates everything fae's told, the way computer's execute on commands to the letter. He makes faer into a guard dog. Bone is all too willing...

Full - Your life together is coming to a close. Looking back, are you happy with how it went? + Strange

Kronos stared out the window, still wearing that blank expression from when Riddler picked faer up. Edward would've loved to be able to tell faer that the future was bright and full of chances fae would've never had before. At the moment, it didn't look like fae would listen. When he opened his mouth to speak, Zacharie cut him off.

"What am I going to do now?"

I think if Strange ever discarded faer, died, or otherwise left... Kronos would miss it too much. Not only would fae be happy with the decision to stay with him and in his care, but fae wouldn't really properly mourn it now that it's gone. Strange carved out so much of faers everything at that point.

Where is fae gonna get those sedatives? There's so many triggers he implanted that fae knows might get triggered by accident too. Can Eddie really protect faer from Crane--is Crane even still looking for faer? Yes, yes he is.

There's too much confusion to look forward through. Kronos inevitably stares back, blind as though fae were looking at the sun.

Third Quarter - How do you deal with obstacles and diversity as a couple? What are problems you most often face? + Zer0

Fae groaned, loading the pistol. "I would've thought we'd bring more than just the two of us!"

"We had no option. / Continue to hold the line, / Backup will be here."

Most of their problems are Pandora problems. Though Zer0 can cover the front some with his sword, that means getting in there first. Current beta of my Borderlands s/i is a sniper as well, and fae is more suited to picking off from the back. Though Zer0 can go rushing in and out of the front lines (make distance, shoot, stealth, stab, repeat) fae is much less capable in anything up close and personal.

So, a lot of the obstacles they face are in regards to that. If they aren't traveling with anyone else, it's how to carry the load of combat together. Fae can be abrasive and stubborn, while Zer0 tends to forget to actually communicate with faer in the midst of shootouts and such.

Because of the actual heat and frenetic nature of combat, these arguments tend to crop up with a pouring heap of adrenaline on top. They always get settled, and everything else seems like child's play by comparison. It helps that fae isn't particular about how things like rewards are split up, so long as fae gets a piece at all. If anything, fae is oddly passive in a lot of areas outside observers would probably expect more bite out of faer over! It's combat and how to handle it--that's the sticking point.

Fated AU, The Secret Kingdom, Trouble In Paradise

Word Count: 684

Warnings: mentions of war, aggression.

“Where the hell are they?” Jake watched her with bated breaths as she stalked towards him, rage and fire behind her eyes. He found himself holding back his emotions, becoming a wall of stone as he looked at the woman that he barely recognized. She stomped closer towards him, but Ransom held his hand, “Where the fuck is my daughter, Jake?”

“I’m going to need you to step away from my husband and mate, Ember,” Ransom said firmly, “right now you are coming across as threatening, and I will not allow you to intimidate my mate and husband, especially not in my own kingdom.”

She glared at Ransom, “he…and probably you, are hiding my daughter from me. It’s been weeks since I’ve seen her. Ari was supposed to bring her back to me, but apparently even he can’t do the simplest of tasks.”

“Ember-“

“SHUT THE HELL UP ARI!” she roared, glaring at her mate, “I gave you your chance to bring Nessa back. I let her live with you down in that cabin, instead of-“

“Instead of with you on the mountain?” Ransom taunted, cutting her off. She turned her glare towards the faerie king, away from Ari who was holding Sage in his breast pocket. The young nymph whimpered and tucked himself against his father’s side, “Go ahead, and say it. We know that you abandoned your children down at the cabin. We know that you have new ones up on the mountain with other fire nymphs.”

Her eye twitched and she considered throwing a ball of fire at Ari for a moment, before she remembered Sage in his pocket. While she had been upset over the fact that he’d developed woodland nymph abilities, he was still her son, and she didn’t want to cause him harm. But the soft look she placed towards her child diminished as her attention went towards Ari.

“You did this on purpose,” she hissed, glaring at the alpha, “you did this to trap me, didn’t you Ari?”

“Ari had no part in this!” Jake said quickly, coming to the defense of his brother, “Ari didn’t know that Nessa chased after me until I’d called him. She was supposed to be tucked in. I had even helped him tuck her in that night. Sh-“

“If you don’t give her back, I’ll destroy whatever kingdom you think you have here!” she hissed, cutting Jake off, “I’ll burn everything you treasure about this place to the ground. I’ll make sure that you are left sitting on a pile of ash. I want my daughter, Jake!”

“You were nothing more than an egg donor to that little pup,” Ransom spat, his grip a reassuring one in Jake’s hand as he continued, “Ari is more a parent to her than you are!”

“She’s mine, fae. She belongs to me, not you…so, stay out of my affairs.”

“Well, it appears that your affairs are tied to my husband, which makes it my business as well,” Ransom growled, his features sharpening as he attempted to intimidate her, “so you have the chance now to leave my kingdom…and I will do you no harm…even though you’ve threatened, openly might I add, the own well-being of my kingdom.”

Jake watched Ransom and Ember glaring one another down. And while he knew it was an all too serious situation, his heart fluttered at how Ransom, his mate, came to his aid without even a question of it.

“You will give her back, fae.”

“You will leave my kingdom,” Ransom commanded, “and you will not come back unless you have the intentions of going to war.”

“I wouldn’t tease such things,” she said with a smirk, “Prince Nick has been waiting many ears for an excuse to battle you and your kin…this would merely be a tipping point.”

“You’re not touching our daughter, you harpy. So, I insist that you leave,” Ransom growled, “I’m going to give you this as a final chance. Leave now, Ember. And I’ll allow you to leave with your life in tact.”

“You’ll regret your words, Ransom. That I can promise you.”
