I've been up since like 3 am because of jetlag so I thought I might as well answer one of the thingies I've been tagged in, thank you @airenyah ✨️

1) Scallisaac - Scott, Allison and Isaac (Teen Wolf)
A perfect triad that first opened my eyes to poly ships and triads in particular! I gotta rec this one fic here that's been percolating in my brain for, oh, just- you know, a decade 🙂
2) River/Doctor - River Song and the 11th doctor (Doctor Who), or as I used to tag them- OTP: Whoney I'm home :D
They were arguably my first major OTP after I first learned what that means lol I love a flirty dynamic, bickering, tragic fated lovers, and time travel! My time in the Doctor Who fandom was when I first taught myself how to gif and use photoshop (back when I still had it...) so there's a bunch of gifsets and edits still on my blog from around then, at least one of which I remember featuring this ship!
3) To no one's surprise, I gotta nod along to one of @airenyah 's choices: Destiel - Dean and Castiel (Supernatural)
The amount of fics I read...! I even still have a 9 year old inactive sideblog that I made, posted a lot on, and then abandoned all within the span of one year lmao

It's a Thai comedy from 2022 that's basically about a heist but since I know folks here love First Kanaphan, here's my tumblr pitch: he stars as a spoiled rich kid, has a neck tattoo, and is in all of two scenes lol Also- not related to First anymore but- the characters are all nicely color-coded 🌈

They make so much sense together. They have everything. Friends to enemy to reluctant allies to friends to lovers. History. Chemistry. Saving each others lives. Being involved in the other one best friend death. (Jean telling Reiner about Bertold death bacause he feels like he owes it to Reiner? I think about it three times a day.) Various parental issues. The huge potential of them after the end of the world. How not to ship them.
(And there is something so special about shipping two characters that the creator genuinely like and care about… Their respective character development is so compelling and being able to enjoy them both as separate characters and as a couple is really fucking nice.)

No idea what this gif is from, but I couldn't resist. While ultimately I do think it was part of the writer's insensitivity to polyamory to have Halsin be relationship averse, and then turn his epilogue content into fan service — I really like aromantic Halsin expressing love in his own way and not wanting "a relationship" or labels.
Étoile x Zevlor
I don't remember what's being said in this scene, but the romance in the movie Snow Cake is a Very Small part of the movie, but Alan Rickman's character does have a complicated relationship with Carrie-Ann Moss's character — a win for "fucking that old man." The main character of the film is dealing with life after having assaulted (and accidentally killed) the drunk driver who hit and killed his child. He is also present / indirectly responsible (but feels greatly responsible) for the death of a hitchhiker, which brings him to Wawa, Ontario where he meets the hitchhiker's mother, a disabled (autistic?) woman played by Sigourney Weaver. It's a really heavy movie that I only saw once but the layers of it and the fleeting comforts and difficult intimacy of it made this a good gif for what's going on with Étoile and poor Zevlor.
Étoile x Komira x Locke
Another Sense8 gif. The woman in the middle, Kala, had a lot of anxiety about being in love with the man on the left Wolfgang, while living a life that was leading her to be with her betrothed, the man on the right, Rajan. This is also an extremely small sideplot of this show that was hastily wrapped up in the movie / final "episode." It was kind of silly but tbh I enjoyed this particular "unrealistic" resolution where Rajan was willing to explore what love would look like (even initially in an extremely sexual sense) with Wolfgang if it meant Kala's happiness / not losing her heart. A fair, if inaccurate, comparison to be made for how in my primary canon-compliant state for Étoile, I'd ship them with werewolf!Komira but leave Locke to his fate in the House of Healing; though I'd imagine the three of them would have very enthusiastic joy and supportive love in other au's.
Étoile x He Who Was
I wanted to find a gif of love of someone/thing that was not completely human for He Who Was. I first thought of Meet Joe Black, and the few surreal moments, and the moment when his love interest asks him to stay, but I couldn't find a gif of the exact moment I wanted. I'd only seen The Time Traveller's Wife movie once and it was straighter than I remembered, the dialogue in the gifs I found was all wrong for Étoile and He Who Was' dynamic. I just wanted reference to the waiting, to the loss, to the not knowing if your supernatural love would return. Oh well. Instead I was looking up characters described as masochists (intended for He Who Was, but I guess observations can be made about Étoile which would be ... entirely correct), and found Marko from The Lost Boys, like the rest of them. In the scene I chose, they're initiating a (the?) protagonist into their vampire gang, jumped from a bridge and hanging to the beams while a train rushes overhead, scaring their initiate and having the time of their lives. I think He Who Was has a manic excitable laugh in his euphoria and that he enjoys the presence of danger, negotiated and known not to be a sincere threat against him and his holy missions. He and Étoile have a lot of fun in the limitations of a relationship across planes.

SHIPPER GAME TAG
It seems like @lurkingshan has tagged me to unveil all the skeletons in my fandom closet so let's go and dig them up! Word of warning, I had very patchy media access up until my 20s (I could watch about 5ish things on TV and one of them was the news) so some of my ships are uh, niche.
1. What ship were you completely obsessed with when you were a teenager, but now you don't care anymore?
Damon and Elena from The Vampire Diaries. I had such a weird relationship with this show given that I couldn't actually watch the actual episodes and instead had to watch the curated shipping clip compilations but yeah, I was very into these two for most of my teen years. Now my tastes have changed drastically and I'm no longer into this couple or the show so.....
2. Which ship do you consider your first one?
I was going to say Percy and Annabeth but then I remembered Luke and Maria from The Sarah Jane Adventures. Admittedly a very niche couple but they're the first time I can remember coming across a pairing on screen and going "They Are More Than Friends I Must Find More". Unfortunately there wasn't much more to find but I still think their relationship was cute.
3. Your first fanfic belonged to which couple?
Another niche couple but Ruth and Jay from Casualty. There wasn't much but I poured over the 10ish fics I could find and frequently checked if there was anything new for them on FF.net or wherever it is I'd managed to find them.
Damn I want to go rewatch their scenes again, I wonder if the compilations are still on Youtube?
4. Do you remember the first couple you saw a fan art over?
I don't remember the first couple I saw Fanart for but I can tell you the first Fanart I remember coming across and that was Percy Jackson. There is a particular style popular among fanartist for the series and I loved it then and I still love it now.
5. Did you ever get into ship discourse?
Only with friends haha. I think the first time I can properly remember having a discussion with people about a ship was the Peeta/Katniss/Gale triangle, I spent a lot of time ranting to my poor friends that of course it was going to end up being Peeta and Katniss because they fit the "Final Couple of a Teen Lit Romance" pattern down to a tee so rooting for Gale was useless (I was very pleased to be proven right, my pattern theory was just starting out back then).
6. Did you have any no-otp or have it currently?
I won't lie, I used to really struggle with ships that broke up canon ships. Like really, really struggle. I knew then and I recognise even more now that this was linked to my own issues with being overly loyal to just about anything but yeah, I couldn't cope with non-canon ships that broke up the canon ships, even if I didn't like the canon ships.
In regards to specific ships? Anything involving Hermione (none of the men were good enough for her in teen me's opinion).
7. Who were the couple in the last fanfic you read?
..... Ummm Erestor/Glorfindel anyone?
8. Currently, do you have any OTPs?
As @lurkingshan said in her own post, OTPs are eternal. My first OTP was probably Percy and Annabeth and I'd still fight monsters for them. More recent additions to the pack are Andrea and Gyeol-Wool from Hospital Playlist and Uea and King from Bed Friends.
9. Is there any couple that, to this day, you are extremely mad about not getting together?
MARIA AND BLOODY LUKE 😤
In all seriousness, none spring to mind but only because I tend to blot these things from my memory.
10. Is there any ship you used to dislike but now you think they are kind of interesting?
I may have the memory of a sieve for couples I dislike but I also hold grudges against storytelling wrongs so probably not, if I didn't like them then it's likely I still don't like them.
11. Do you have any ship that, in the past, was considered normal but now you would be cancelled over.
I'm going to continue the Brian and Justin trend here because I'm sure many people would be uncomfortable with the age gap now but, as Shan puts it best, "women in queer spaces often struggle to account for the totally different culture and power dynamics between m/m pairings".
12. What was your favourite crack ship?
I don't really do crack ships but I often think about the fact that, somewhere out there on the internet, there is a fanfic about Snape and a teletubby. I've never read it, I don't want to, but the thought does make me giggle (perhaps slightly nervously, I'm not sure).
13. Who is the couple you read more fanfics of?
I tend to go in both fads and cycles so it'll be a mix of fanfic linked to what I'm currently watching/reading (if it seems ficable) and pairings whose fics I know I'll enjoy. That being said I did once get so deep into Stucky that I obsessively researched life in inter-war New York so quite possibly them.
14. What do most of your ships have in common?
I wouldn't say I have a specific type of ship that I like but I am a total sucker for ships where it feels like they help each other become better people, both in little things and in the big things.
15. What do you absolutely hate in a ship?
When I don't understand why they're together.

1 - What ship were you completely obsessed with when you were a teenager, but now you don’t care about anymore?
Ron and Hermione. But I was basically offline for most of my teen years so it was a private obssession.
2 - Which ship would you consider your first one?
These two
From the anime Kodomo No Omocha, the anime was called Rossana In Italian, still the best theme song in the world, that song is basically instand magic nostalgia button for me, I was a child and basically the age of the characters when I watched it, maybe a year or two older, they bewitched me body and soul.
3 - Your first fanfic belonged to which couple?
Written, I have never written anything that could be consider fanfic. Maybe once I wrote a single scene fic for an Italian Show but that's it.
Read on AO3: Stranger Things post s1 fics and Still Star Crossed fics were the first fandoms. I don't have the old fanfiction.net account and my shitty memory doesn't let me remeber shit from that time so, I will go with that.
4 - Do you remember the first couple you saw fanart of?
Not really, my memory is bad. Maybe Stydia, teen wolf was my first tumblr fandom along side GMW. Or Shameless.
5 - Did you ever get into ship discourse?
I have been aware of ship discourse. And I once pettily unfollowed someone because they shipped my NOTP at the time. But not really.
6 - Did you used to have a NOTP or have any currently?
I did used to consider ship NOTPs, but I don't currently use that term anymore, I am way into my ship and let ship era. I don't feel like any of the ship I dislike now are strong enough to be a notp. Even if there are a few that almost qualified.
7 - Who were the couple in the last fanfic you read?
Got curious because someone mention some Nick/Sand and some Nick/Sand/Ray stuff on my dash and looked up some Only Friend fics for the first time since the show ended.
8 - Currently do you have any OTPs?
Too many. I have been mostly watching BLs and QLs recently. Honestly shipping as become a little more low-key recently. I can love a ship and even read fanfic for them (although small confession I am becoming far more picky and It's super hard now to read a fic I enjoy especially in the BL sphere). And I am watching so many shows at the same time I don't think any of them could be called an OTP, in that omg I am so obsessed with them way. I feel like my attention is too split for that.
Not that I am not enjoying having so many ships and couples to choose from, I love it here in BL land.
If I had to pick a single ship that is consuming me body and soul like stuff used to I have to go with PheeNon from Dead Friend Forever, because this show put itself in my head and is going to stay there until it's over.
9 - Is there any couple that to this day you are extremely mad about them not getting together?
Does it have to be an old ship?? Because I only rember some recent stuff.

Not sure, I have come around a couple of BL ships I didn't initially like at first viewing. Nothing special though.

I am not sure, I used to be the kind of person that followed canon and didn't get the appeal of crackships at the time. Or shipping non canon ships.
I guess maybe some het ships that I know now either have a very obviously gay coding (both or just one) or it's more common to put in a gay ship. But I am not sure anything too controversial.
I kind of read some early Mame fanfics and enjoy some of the mame ships does count?
12 - What’s your favourite crack ship?
Taking crack fic too mean there is basically no evidence of this in canon and there is little to no fics about them.
Ming/Yo from 2Moons (the og) I will die on this hill, the actor that played these two had amazing chemestry.
Anwar and Maxxie from Skins Gen 1. There are 3 fics of them on ao3. 3!!!! I feel like the only person that see this.
13 - Who is the couple you’ve read the most fanfics of?
I think maybe it's either Hannigram or Buck and Eddie from 911 a show I am feeling very over right now. So that will definately change.
14 - What do most of your ships usually have in common?
Not much. I enjoy different types of dynamics.
15 - What do you absolutely hate in a ship?
I have come to a point where if I can see the chemestry and I like the characters and I can get into the characters head and I think the relationship is interesting I can forgive bad or clunky writing. Or tropes like miscommunication and noble idiocity.
There is one trope that almost always kills a ship for me. Years long seperation in the final act. This is pretty much a bl only trope. But I have seen it in Het shows before I think.
I can understand a seperation for a couple of weeks or even months due to externel pressures and maybe some noble idiocity, or even something like I need to sort myself out a little first like Until We Meet Again. I don't love it. But it's fine. But YEARS!! That shit pisses me off. That is why even if I can understand the writing decision behind I hold a grudge over Ghost Host, Ghost House. I understand it was a good drama and the writing was good and the ship is cute. BUT I HATE THAT TROPE.

-Alex and Stevie (Wizards of Waverly Place). They knew what they were doing with this one.

What’s your OTP for your Muse(s)?
Towing the honesty line here and saying that every ship - no matter its nature - has something I flat adore about it; something unique and captivating and that makes me excited about writing and exploring it. Stacking them up and naming names or pairings just feels like a fast track to potential hurt feels and I'm not about that life. Each is my favourite version of itself.
What are you willing to RP when it comes to shipping?
Most anything, honestly. Any kind of relationship - platonic, romantic, familial, a complex mix of those appropriate for mixing or a more straightforward affair. All sorts of relationships fascinate me, and I'm happy to explore provided it's well plotted out and we - as muns - have chatted about yeses and nos and boundaries and all that good stuff.
How large does the age gap have to be to make it uncomfortable?
I won't ship with minors or write ships where Ron and a minor are even vaguely romantically inclined. Otherwise - provided we're writing about legal adults consenting to things/being in situations - I'm not overly bothered about it as a concept, however--
However.
I can promise you a 38 year old Ron, say, would whap an 18 year old interested person round the head and chuff 'em off home to their mum as soon as look at 'em. Just because it's write-about-able doesn't mean Ronnie'd be interested. Man's got his own wants and needs and I can flat swear someone 20 years his junior like that example there says cannot, CANNOT meet those.
Are you selective when shipping?
I need to have a good rapport with the other mun, certainly. We need to plot things out, test ideas, make worlds and if we can't do that, I can't get comfy enough to open my (hard as fucking nails but still) muse up to the kind of connections shipping (any kind) entails. Elsewise, of course, there must be chemistry between muses if we're talking romantic shipping.
How far do steamy moments have to go before they’re considered NSFW?
Friends I'll write everything from the beginnings 'til the ends of an intimate encounter, but I'll also always follow my writing partner's cues and comforts in that regard. I don't and won't write smut. More power to those that do, of course. It's just not my thing. But intimate scenes needn't be smutty and I'll write, like I say, all the detail my partner's happy with. We start mentioning parts and private zones, that's NSFW and it'll be tagged as such. Mine is, //Behind Closed Doors.
Who are other muses you ship your muse with?
I've been shipping with @hislittledxll since...2016? With @brooklynislandgirl for perhaps a sneeze less time? So they're my darlings and I don't know what I'd do without them. Other, newer shippy-loves are @vxctorx and @id1eyouth. A dear friendSHIP is had with @tabbyrp, likewise @corinnebaileyrp. Like I say, I'll consider ships of any kind with anyone.

Yes please. Scream at me about our muses in my DMs. Pounce on me on Discord. I'll do the exact same. Assuming shipping - any kind but romantic especially - will only get my (and Ron's) back up. I do like it lots, definitely. I'm mulling over happy little motes of inspiration almost constantly. But it's not mandatory by any means. I'll write anything that interests me. So bring it in pals!

What is your favorite ship in your current fandom?
Other than the ones I've made up round the characters I write Ron with? XD I...don't really know I have a fandom specifically. Some pairings I've loved to see in recent media include Paul and Chani in Dune/Dune 2, and Lestat and Louis in Interview With The Vampire (it's so toxic...SO TOXIC, but so beautifully done).
Finally, how does one ship with you?
Legit, talk to me. I'm always either here or on Discord. We'll need to chat, plot, discuss boundaries and story arches and all and it'll be fascinating and awesome and I promise we're friendly, me and Ron. So just pop by. There's always a pot of tea on the boil and biccies out the draw to snack on while we natter.

Mike and El, AND Steve and Nancy. I mean I do like the trope of Female Character Has Big Ambitions with Boyfriend Who Has None. But Steve and Nancy are too dissimilar. As well as Nancy and Jonathan - there is no chemistry there.

Eddie's death duh.

It's so old, but my Vampire!Eddie Boyfriend headcanons. Looking back it could do with a lot of editing, but the idea that Eddie was actually turned into a vampire because of the bat bites was brilliant (credit to whoever came up with that first).
A character who is perfect to me (wouldn't change a thing)
I got TWO, season 1-3 Hopper, because I really loved his whole punch first ask questions later. And his weight, I loved his weight. I think his weightloss in season 4 wasn't just for Stranger Things, I think he genuinely wanted to be skinnier. Which ... I mean his body his rules, but I loved him more when he was heavier tbh.
And OBVIOUSLY EDDIE. HOW DID THEY COME UP WITH THE PERFECT CHARACTER?! They could have made him a one, maybe even two sided drug dealer who couldn't graduate high school. But no, he has so much heart and SOFTNESS. I actually fell in love with him after the cafeteria scene, when he was with Chrissy. He just became this caring, open, kind guy who also had a LUNCHBOX full of fcking DRUGS.
The character I relate to the most and why
You already hate me by now because I've spoken about Eddie so much, but yeah ... Eddie. It's one of the reasons why he's so well-loved. The outsider, the one everyone thinks is weird - I think all can relate on one level or another. Especially growing up ... not so well off. Seeing Eddie live in a trailer but he's still so popular; it gives a lot of gratification (if that's the right word?)
Character(-s) I hate the most and why
Mr Wheeler - he is literally such a shITTY DAD. WTF. In his daily life he doesn't care about his family, or show any interest in them.
STEVE'S PARENTS - WHERE ARE THEY? WHAT ARE THEY DOING? I mean they could be travelling for work but that's still neglect.
Billy - if he wasn't a good looking character no one would like him. In the original script he was actually supposed to called Lucas the n-word because he's racist. And in the scenes with Lucas, there are underlying motifs that show his racism. So, yeah, I hate racists.
Martin Brenner aka Papa. Motherf*cking asshole.
Something I've learned from the fandom
Um... that the majority of us really love big-haired, soft-hearted, drug dealers? I mean okay, I don't really get into fandoms anymore because of bad past experiences. I guess what I've learnt then, is that everyone has their own opinion - doesn't mean yours is wrong or any less valid.

I know it's supposed to be ME telling YOU things - like you're awesome, and I'm glad we're friends, and I just adore your vibes and energy.
But, like, tell me about Uta. Do you self-ship with her? Do you have an OTP for her? What's your favoritest head canon for her? Do you have a favorite fic you've wrote with her in it? Or maybe one someone else has.

Oh my god yes!! Sorry this took me until today to respond to, I love any opportunity to talk about my favorite girl. 🥰
I do self-ship with her, both solo (UtaWurm) and poly with Sanji (lovingly referred to as the Heartthrob Trio <3). But I do also ship her almost exclusively with Perona! (I'm exploring some other ships with her as well, but this one if definitely an OTP)
I have a few head canons for her!
Shanks did not style her hair as a kid, absolutely no way. I think that job went to Beckmann!
Uta is bi (like most of my faves) but she definitely is very soft for the ladies, particularly a certain cute pink goth girl. When it comes to how Perona and Uta met, sometimes I like to think it's because of Shanks and Mihawk's... connection. Other times, I like to think Perona has always been a fan of Uta's and just fell hard for her favorite idol! If I had to assign a song to PeroUta, I'd choose Monster by King Princess. (if you're a fan of Adventure Time, you should check out the Distant Lands episode called Obsidian too)
Uta not only sings, she also plays piano and a little guitar as well! If you've ever seen the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's, there's this scene where Audrey Hepburn is playing guitar and singing a ballad in her apartment window and it makes me think of Uta every time.
If you thought the ASL bros were a menace, add Uta to the mix for EXTRA shenanigans. She can turn on the charm and the cutesy eyes and create the perfect distraction for the brothers to take a bunch of food and treasure!
Her favorite fruit is strawberries, favorite flower is peony, favorite animal is a rabbit, and she always has a tea for every occasion. She's gotta keep her voice in tip top shape after all!
How did I pull her? She came across me playing music and singing and she decided to sit and play with me. She's very smooth... Sanji also had MAJOR heart eyes for her but could tell I felt a type of way about her, so he backed off until we became an item (she thinks he's a lot but in a cute and slightly pathetic way)
As for fic recommendations, I'm always on the lookout since her tag is pretty barren in that regard. I HIGHLY encourage you to check out my lovely friend @starblazer124 's works! For Family, It's Worth the Fight keeps me up at night. I'll also pitch my fic Sleepy Eyes as well, it's short and very sweet :)

I've decided to open my requests for the first time and maybe do some small drabbles for some of you all! I'd like to be more active in the writing scene here on bllk tumblr, and I've never opened requests because I didn't think I'd ever have time. Here are a few rules for what I allow and won't allow:
Off Limits!
-Any NSFW asks. I'm not confident enough to do NSFW asks just yet, maybe one day in the future though!
-Proships: This is a controversial take for some, however I don't feel comfortable writing proships. This means any ships between a child and an adult, or incest. I hope you respect this decision of mine.
Go for it!
-Self Ships. I am a self shipper myself I won't judge go on ahead and tell me if you want a short drabble of you and a character. Just be sure to be a bit specific about what you want the reader to be like. (E.G pls put "Fem!Reader" or "Masc!Reader" or "GN!Reader" if that is what you would like in the short drabble.)
-Imagines. As long as it's not NSFW go on ahead and send in any kind of imagines you may have had! I would love to write them!
-Character Ships. If you have an OTP or a rarepair feel free to request something for it, I don't mind what kind of ship it is seeing as I am a multi-shipper myself.
-Headcanons. If you have a headcanon send it in I'd love to write about it!
Most drabbles may be short, but if I get really inspired it could be a lot longer. I won't be able to get to everyone at the same time, so please if you send in an ask and you notice I haven't answered it, I will get to it in time. I check my Ask box pretty frequently as well so don't be discouraged or think I didn't see it. I only ask that you don't rush me as that will make me not want to write at all.
I'll create a specific tag for this so that way people who follow me can either block the tag so they don't get bombarded by requests lol.

OTPs of all time... 🥺
They are EVERYTHING to me: This one is probably pretty self-explanatory. I made a whole blog about them, have a page listing my meta about them that's... not small, and they're the reason I watched the series at all. Just in terms of the pure impact it had on me, I'm not sure if any piece of fiction can ever top that scene of Ryuko hugging Senketsu in the bathroom (Episode 5). It's what kickstarted my realization that monsters—and monster romance—is my favorite niche.
Concept is more appealing than execution: Buuuut I feel like there's a lot of missed potential here. An earlier version of the story, where Life Fibers were more individualized, where Senketsu struggles with the two sides of his identity, feels stronger. As I put it before:
I think a more fleshed-out examination of Life Fibers, where they’re not just mindless, vicious beasts, would have provided a much more compelling plot—especially with writer Kazuki Nakashima consistently stressing that Kill la Kill is ultimately a story about “a lonely young woman meeting and losing an irreplaceable partner” and his attempt to “make a form of intimacy that transcends love and species”!
I adore Ryuko and Senketsu, don’t get me wrong, but I feel that their love and friendship would have been even more powerful had it actually represented a real coming together of humans and Life Fibers. As it turns out, an older draft of the series does go further with the concept, and while I can understand it getting scrapped for being “too much,” I’m still attached to the possibilities and wish the final product had gone more in that direction.
They drive me crazy/insane /pos: Yeah... that's probably clear....
Relationship goals <3: On the one hand, I'd be the first person to point out their flaws, but on the other... I just think they're so sweet. One of my favorite things about them is their good communication, which I've written... a bit about. But seriously, that moment in Episode 2 where lonely, closed-off Ryuko tries to open up to Senketsu? One of my favorite gosh-darn scenes in this show.
Also... get you someone who looks at you the way Ryuko looks at her uniform.
(I don't think she ever has these sparkly eyes for anyone else in this show.)
People that ship them need therapy I think: I mean... it is a ship composed of a girl and her alien clothes.... But if it can work for Venom, it can work for Kill la Kill, too!
I blorboed so hard that they're basically my OCs now: Yeah, probably, lol. (I say, thinking wistfully of the 150,000-ish words of my Kill la Kill fairytale AU that I've only ever posted snippets of and that probably has so little to do with the actual series that it could pass as original fiction.)
I need a 30k hurt/comfort fic on my desk by Monday: It's been a long time since I looked at Kill la Kill fic, but I remember that Senketsu wasn't even tagged in 10% of the stories on AO3 back in the day. I'm desperate for more about these two, and there's so much hurt/comfort fodder. Death, what it means to be human, feeling like you're unworthy of the one you love...
Who even thought of this?? This is a crackship: It feels like it should be, but... they were totally teasing it, I swear!

They,,, kimss,, holde handss,,,,: Plz... I think a lot about that one scrapped design of Sync'd Sen where Senketsu's hand was over Ryuko's “so that they would always be holding hands as they fought.”
Plus that time Ryuko deliberately put Senketsu's glove on before going to sleep in the manga.

Last thing I published on AO3 is my Luke/Hera ship pioneer Sound Recognition, and it’s a short little thing but I like it!

How does my favourite sibling relationship in fiction come from this show? One of the things I absolutely loved about Life with Derek when I first got into it in 2015, is how you would see Derek's demeanour change when he was around his little sister and you saw what a good guy he was. 1. Home Movies
OK. Their fight at the beginning screams UST (and also kickstarts the episode)
Casey is trying to interview Derek about the family and he surprisingly gets really pissed at her. They fight alot in this show, but this is the first time he legitimately shouts at her while being dead serious/visably hurts her feelings and vice versa.
He's clearly mad that she left him out of something that deeply effects him. Hes never been good at expressing feelings which leads to him bottling them up and letting them out in an unhealthly way (sometimes I feel this dude needs more therpy than Casey). Even though, he likes his new step-family, he still had no say in the matter at the end of the day e.g. This is not a picture perfect family Casey, this is a mess of a family thats making the best of a contrived situation.
And its very obvious to me, that he clearly loves her by this point, and he resents the fact that he does. e.g. 'My Dads decisions put me in this mess'
It gave me a slight reminder of 'Flowers in the Attic' (even though thats a totally different kettle of fish) where the two eldest siblings fall in love with eachother because of the situation they are forced under by their parents (i.e. emotional neglect etc)

Hello! I haven’t read any of your works personally, but are there any specific things you like to write the most? Genres, scenarios, character types or tropes, what makes you the most excited to write a story? How do you do it? Do you write it all down the moment you have a great idea, or do you let it sit and develop for several days between writing sessions?

Romance (only if it’s an OTP of mine I’m at least 20% confident I can write okay at.)

{ I swear if I hear of more praise for Wanda and others, plus Wanda x Vision being OkAy?! I’m going to hurl. >•< }
• Ash being romantically involved with either Serena, Misty, Dawn, May, Cynthia, and more. Also harems….I HATE harems.

• Gary / Paul / Kiawe / Gladion / Lillie / Goh }
Obi-wan hated = Jedi Council bashing
{ I get he’s on the council, but does hating the Jedi Order / Council really fall to hating him specifically or at all? From what I’ve seen, he isn’t the one making many bad decisions! }
AOS Jim Kirk being written as some womanizer / bad guy
{ I get the movies portrayed him a little as such…but that’s just wrong! As someone who’s a fan of such movies, it just pains me how he’s written as so shallow. Makes me still wish for a tv series of this version of Star Trek. Chris Pine rocks as Jim Kirk, and the clear portrayal of a traumatic childhood/past could be explored so much more! I mean it’s clear this version went through Tarsus IV too. Maybe more than TOS Kirk. }
Harry Potter as stupid / paired with Hermione, Ginny, basically anyone not Draco Malfoy (or Luna, though with her it depends on my mood at the time) / Hermione overrated worship / Horocrux = Dursley abuse
{ Look, it may be cliche, but I like Harry Potter as a character. He’s a good main character with an overall good arc. I just hated him being with Ginny in the end. It didn’t help with ‘Cursed Child’, like he may not be a perfect parent, but he’s darn sure more than anything that ‘book’ portrayed! It’s even worst in the canon books, and even some fanfics, where Harry is portrayed as dumb. He could of been sorted into any house..Any. There’s more type of intelligence, and he shows he’s clearly got academic intelligence too, but considering just how he had to ‘not ask questions’ and ‘not get better grades than Dudley’ basically explains aside from teenager mood why his school work was as it was. Just cause he isn’t some book genius like Hermione, doesn’t mean he couldn’t of gotten into Ravenclaw.
Speaking of, why is she so glorified? Okay sure, she’s a good character and friend…but she isn’t some god! No, she didn’t carry the entire series, let alone do all the hard work, not be the reason Ron and Harry made it and so on, she has faults! She can’t solve everything! Lets face it, if those two hadn’t saved her from the troll back when they were eleven, she won’t be around most likely.
Now the Dursleys and horocruxs….oh boy. If there’s one thing I hate in canon the most in this series, it’s this. No, the Dursleys didn’t abuse Harry because of the horocrux. I don’t blame the people that believe this though, as it’s clear the ‘author’ wrote said abuse as mere nothing, glossed over and “explained” as something that’s Harry’s fault. Um no! Abuse isn’t something to be glossed over! The Dursleys were clearly horrible people before Harry even got sent to them! They despited him and his parents, and literally spoke of trying to beat the magic out of him! I don’t know if the Wizarding world has a CPS, but surely if it wasn’t for ‘protect in the blood wards despite being abuse/starved/could of been killed in said house every year with the plus of the wards being non-existent/unless by end of his fourth year’ Dumbledore there be something done no? That also makes another point of how the ‘author’ glossed over said abuse…he names one of his kids after Dumbledore and a bully of a teacher! If Snape were a muggle teacher, he’d be fired on day one. Let’s not get even started on glossing over Neville, Draco, and basically all of Slytherin house home-life/trauma. I’d go on, but then I’d just give myself a blistering headache for days.
Most excited to write a story:
What excites me to write a story can be a number of things. Usually it is through watching a particular character go through something, or some character saying something. Of course, comments on my fanfics help too, but reading others fanfic helps also! Being able to immerse myself in the world of fanfic, and see multiple views of a scene or a character it always so fascinating. Granted, I only look for fanfics of my specific likes, but the thought still stands! Questions, and answers to certain aspects of certain fandoms can sometimes inspire me to write something of the fandom in a new way you know? Yet despite all this, I still have tons of WIP fics that I have yet to update in like forever.
How do you write:
It’s a mix of the two scenarios actually. Like sometimes I get an idea and can write at least a chapter or two before the writing juice runs out. Other times the idea comes in pieces during a couple of days, though it’s mostly small scenes or inputs of characteristics. Either way, still got a ton of WIP because of both.
