Gym Day 2
(Yes I’m gonna be one of those bloggers now)
Awesome. Went an hour earlier and it was a lot better. Also it’s easier to get up at 4 am than at 5 am 🤔
And again, men are the nicest and sweetest and women are 🫥
I left another comfort zone today and now I am playing with the big boys 😅 I couldn’t find the lat pulldown and so I asked one of the guys and he was like „you mean like.. the one with the weights? The real one with the weight tower..?“ and I said „yeaahhhh…?“ and he had this super surprised look on his face 🤣 He gladly told me because it was literally hidden in the last corner of the gym.
And of course in the area that I call the ‚testosterone cave‘. It’s a separate room where all the big guys go and it smells like sweat, rusty iron and well.. men.
At first I was like no thank you, felt really awkward. But the guy who told me still looked at me and I was like well, it’s more awkward when you don’t go now. So I took a deep breath (silently!) and walked in. OF COURSE everyone looked at me as I entered the room but I went straight to the lat and row machine and did my thing. After a couple secs it was chill, we all adjusted to the situation that there is a woman in the room lmao.
Tomorrow is leg day and I love leg day and I am excited already 😁

The secret to create healthy habits.
Motivation > discipline > consistency > habits. That's the process from start to finish, for changing your life around with healthy choices.
Motivation is only the launchpad to start with, after that you can't rely on it because it comes and goes on a whim! A lot of people make the mistake on relying on it all throughout, and then wonder why they can't stay on track while other people do.
What you need next is discipline: when you commit to something and stick to it even when it's hard, even when you don't feel like it, because that's how you fill the gaps inbetween to create a routine.
And you create a routine by staying consistent. Today, tomorrow, again and again.
When you stay consistent over months, over half a year, it becomes a habit, and when something becomes a habit, it's effortless to keep going because that is now your default setting. It becomes your new normal, the choice that comes easiest to make because you don't even have to make it or think it; you just lean back into it.
Going to the gym regularly becomes like having a meal; if you don't do it, you'll feel restless and off, genuinely craving the movement and the boost of endorphins. When you eat healthy regularly, you feel it right away if you get off track and indulge in too many treats: you'll feel it in your body, in your mental clarity, in your emotional wellbeing and it's so much easier getting back on track because healthy is your new default.

Regarding the transformations, imagine how terrifying it was for Holt’s parents that he just. Ceased to exist for no discernible reason, before learning the trigger can change.
What was the first night Holt wasn’t triggered like? What was Jackson thinking that he just one day, was able to stay up past sunset. Did he notice his parents panic? How long did they keep up the facade that everything was fine before revealing the existence of Holt?
And what did Holt think, who when finally triggered again learnt that suddenly days went by? And that his existence is determined by the battery of his phone?

Gym Day 17
I don’t even have words for today.
Woke up at 2.40 am. Stayed up because there was no point in going back to bed.
Headed to the gym an hour later. It was raining ofc. Just a couple seconds after I got off the bike some oh-so-cool gym bros drove into the parking area with like 100 km/h or something. Yeah okay, could be dead now but whatever.
The lady gym looked like shit. The worst so far. Didn’t tidy up, didn’t care.
While I was doing my RDLs my phone rang. At 4.20 am. I just knew it must be an emergency bc wtf. Yeah well it was the police who was standing in front of my apartment 😬🙈 because my dog cried and woke the neighbours 🙈 I’ve never been at home so fast. I don’t know what happened, but she was hysterical according to the police.
Awkward as hell.
So yeah ofc I didn’t head back and will not go tonight either. So here goes my first skip. It’s not too bad as it’s only leg day. My favourite though. I will do some squats at home.

Exercise benefits
It's been over a year since I started going to the gym consistently (I like weightlifting and cardio/jogging), and quite frankly it has changed my life. Here are the benefits I've noticed:
Improves mental health
Alleviates anxiety
Relieves muscular and mental tension
More energy
Improved vitality
Better sleep
Drastically improves confidence (boost of endorphins after workout but also from body image)
Mental clarity
Teches you discipline and consistency
Teaches you how to have short and long-term goals, and being committed to them
Growth mindset: teaches you to step out of your comfort zone, challenge yourself and achieve results, and gain further confidence from those achievements
You learn that everything is connected, and by this you have no choice but take better care of you: exercise, sleep and food are all interconnected and you can't thrive without having a good balance with all. If you're stressed and eat junk food, you can go 7x a week to the gym but you still won't see the results you want.
It's a very healthy routine to add into your life. having hobbies, pastimes and routines that you enjoy are an essential part of being a well-rounded individual who has a life of her own. In the absence of this, we often rely on others to fill the boredom or free time on our hands and lose sight of working on ourselves for ourselves.

Gente, acho meio exagerado 300g ter 800 kcal, não sei, tanto o app quanto o Google dizem ±500, mas minha moot é uma querida, não sei...
Vou contar 650, não é nem lá nem cá, fica entre 500 e 800, certo? Então meu intake hoje fica como 990, aí tirando o que queimei "fica" 125 kcal! :)
