Shinobu: Cold hands may be caused by simply being in a cold room or other chilly environment. Cold hands are often a sign that your body is trying to maintain its regular body temperature. poison // ellie williams
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
warning: angst, smut, jealousy, top!ellie, squirting, fingering, strap on usage (fem receiving), mentions of crime (prostitution, human trafficking, drugs)
pairing: ellie williams x fem reader
a/n: …..this is pure genius. i haven’t been able to stop thinking about this ask since you’ve sent it in. i definitely need to delve into detective ellie fics for my own peace of mind. also i don’t usually put a wc in requested fics but this one is kinda lengthy so keep that in mind—
Tumblr media
ellie saw red. thick crimson splotches crept into the corners of her vision making it nearly impossible to see— let alone think clearly. green eyes narrowed into the sight on the opposite side of the bar. there, a man and a woman sat playfully bantering back and forth. their words were drowned out by the obnoxiously loud music, but the image was enough for ellie to get the picture.
to most he was known as philip grant, a pompous ass responsible for running one of the largest prostitution and drug rings in the country. the man was balding, pale, and stocky— he couldn’t have been over 5’2, yet his arrogance preceded him. ellie observed silently. his lips, cracked and brittle, pressed into a menacing grin as he fixated on the woman before him.
jealousy stirred inside ellie the longer she watched the woman— her wife flirt with grant. the long touches, dramatic laughter, and seductive eyes made her stomach turn, yet there was nothing she could do besides watch. any sort of interference would blow your cover, jeopardizing the lives of everyone in the club— including you. thus ellie opted for bitter jealousy, submerging herself in it as she did her best to trust you. after all, you needed to find some way to nail him or he’d walk free once again.
“i see him, it’s the last table to your right,” ellie whispered, adjusting the buttons of her coat. the two of you sat at a table just a few feet away, dressed to blend in with the elite to attend the club. she wore a jet-black suit that conformed to her body perfectly. yet your focus was pulled in the opposite direction.
 “el, we’ve got to get something from him tonight.”
“i know.” her breath hitched, pressure mounted onto both of your shoulders as time crept by with no true plan. by midnight philip grant would still be a free man and the possibility of changing that was growing scarce. you needed to act fast and without a call to action, ellie was without choices. she reached for her gun, sliding it into her jacket as she rose from her seat.
immediately you hopped up blocking her path, “what the hell are you doing?”
“…..i’m gonna go talk to him?” ellie muttered, her cheeks burning bright pink. shooting the man was not an option. the arrest needed to be swift and quick— which meant no guns nor endangering customers. you swiped the pistol from ellie’s hands, discreetly placing it in your bag.
you pulled her back towards the table, “you can’t just walk up to him. the moment he sees you coming he’s gonna run— and it’ll be months till we get an opportunity like this again.”
“so what’s your idea?” she sighed, her hands thrown up in defeat. carefully your eyes lingered on the man for just a moment. dozens of girls swarmed, some from the club, others had come with him. they hung on grant’s every word— so much so that if he asked them to jump off a cliff they’d do it in heartbeat.
“i’ll go.”
“you’ve gotta be kidding me,” ellie sputtered, her eyes doubling in size.
“listen to me, philip grant is an asshole— a chauvinistic pig that gets off on exploiting women. all i need to do is stroke his ego a bit and he’ll start talking.”
you were right, and ellie knew it but she didn’t like it. she loathed this part of the job. the side that seemingly blurred the lines between reality and fiction. it required you to play a character, and put on a persona in exchange for just a sliver of information. it was something you were good at, yet ellie still detested it.
“i can do this, alright? i promise if things start to go south i’ll signal and we’ll send the cops in— now tell me, how do i look?” despite your adamance ellie was more than hesitant. yet the plan was already in motion, and there was no time to stand in the way of it.
“beautiful,” she whispered, allowing the pit deep inside of her to fester. you shot your wife a quick grin, placing a soft on your face before adjusting your dress. then you whipped out a dark red lipstick that was sure to captivate grant’s attention.
in one large breath, you sauntered over to the opposite side of the room. as you approached the man a sly grin took hold of your lips. plastering itself there the more he eyed you up and down. his gaze felt like venom. your stomach churned with nausea as it intensified, sending a cold chill through your bones. nevertheless you took the seat in front of him, outstretching your hand.
“mr grant, right? i’m elora.”
philip grant was an asshole, in every sense of the word. simply seeing you with him was enough to evoke more than jealousy from ellie. she couldn’t hear anything over the loudspeakers so she had to rely on sight, which seemed to worsen her regret. she despised the way he looked at you— as if you were prey, something to be conquered. and you had no choice but to play into it.
she watched as your arms wrapped around his, pulling him closer to your body. in a matter of minutes, you’d manage to blend in with his women seamlessly, cooing at the man’s words. ellie’s felt nauseated as you doted on the man, pushing the boundary in order to draw more information. she was sure that if she stood by any longer she’d vomit.
desperately she sought out a sign— anything to signal that she could arrest grant but nothing came. the music ruined any possibility of eavesdropping so she had to opt for visuals and they only made her even more jealous. she fiddled with the silver band on finger, her gaze narrowing on grant’s hand. it trailed from her pocket and to your arm as he slipped you a paper, leaning in dangerously close to whisper.
ellie wanted to gag, his lips nearly brushed your ear. although it was small compared to what she’d witnessed it was enough for her to radio in the cops surrounding the small bar. within a matter of seconds, she stormed over to the two of you, whipping out her handcuffs.
“wait el—“ but your protests fell on deaf ears. at that moment dozens of officers swarmed the building, closing in. philip tried to push past yet ellie’s hand sent him crashing back down. his face turned beet red and ellie towered over him, more powerful than you’d ever seen her.
“philip grant you are under arrest for 18 counts of human sex trafficking and the murders of rose and ruby daniels,” she said sternly, locking the metal around his wrists. bewildered, his eyes found yours as if to plead for help yet he was baffled by the lack of surprise on your face.
“elora? y-you know her? lying bitch you set me up,” he spat, malice laced in each word. he opened his mouth to continue yet you count register a thing. instead, your focus found its way back to ellie. you watched as she passed grant along to the cops, the solemn glare in her eyes remaining. this was a win for both of you, but it was quickly overshadowed by the looming tension that hung over your heads.
“what’d you find out?” her words were short and she refused to spare you a glance for more than a moment at a time.
“he told me where he keeps the rest of the girls.” you slipped a sheet of paper into her palm. in it was a full outline of grant’s businesses which was guaranteed to work against him in court. despite uncovering the piece of evidence that would bury him, you couldn’t help but feel a sense of annoyance radiating from ellie.
“what?” she asked, growing restless under your prying eyes.
“i told you to wait,” you faltered, “he was gonna tell me about murders before—“
“we got what we came for, y/n. i wasn’t going to sit back and watch you flirt with him all night.” the last thing you wanted to do was fight— especially not about philip grant. yet ellie wasn’t in a position to reason with you. she saw what she wanted too— and that was you flirting with someone that wasn’t her.
“listen i’m gonna leave this in evidence… just meet me in the car.” with that ellie turned sharply on her heel not even allowing you the chance to respond. still, you did your best to remain cheerful, making a mental note to apologize once you got home. hopefully, the events of the night would be long forgotten for both of your sakes.
however, this was the opposite of what happened— the car ride back home was dreadful. ellie hardly even looked your way. vivid details of the ordeal seemed to haunt her. the shameless image of you fawning over grant seared its way into her memory and it only upset her even more. it felt like a wall was being built between the two of you and you had no way of tearing it down. unfortunately, when you got home it was no different.
ellie stormed into the apartment ahead, leaving you trailing behind. she made her way into the bedroom and the anger was detectable even from the kitchen.
“you hungry? i could make something or we could order in?” you called, only to be greeted by the distinct sounds of silence.
you tried a second time yet all of your attempts amounted to nothing. exasperated, you followed pervading noise all the way towards the room down the hall. there ellie sat on a large bed— the place the two of you shared your most intimate moments. on most days it acted as a safe haven but now it seemed more treacherous than ever.
the air was thick, presumably from the budding tension that only seemed to stir as you approached your wife. her green eyes buzzed with a certain type of poison— jealousy.
“please don’t tell me you’re giving me the silent treatment because of philip grant,” you muttered, shifting under her fierce gaze. it ignited something inside of you that was utterly unfamiliar. it was ardent passion in a way that you’d never experienced.
she rose from the mattress, stepping towards you until she was just a few inches away. the heat was palpable and it took shape right in between the two of you, blending in with the jealousy that oozed from ellie.
“you know what i hate most about this job?” she whispered, her voice light and delicate like a feather. you hadn’t realized it then but you were just barely touching the wall. and you feared if ellie stepped any closer you’d be right against it.
“seeing you with other people.”
you began, “but it doesn’t mean anything—
“did you see the way he looked at you? hm?” she moved towards you, gradually sealing the distance between your bodies. the cold surface of the wall pressed up against your back, offering you little comfort as ellie spoke. her words were pointed and direct, you could almost make out the hurt behind them but it was overshadowed by a more intense feeling.
“he wanted to fuck you. jesus y/n….the guy was practically frothing at the mouth the entire time and i had to sit there and watch it.” ellie seethed. she placed each of her arms on the opposite of your body, caging you in as her body stood firm against you. thus with every movement, no matter how minuscule you were able to feel the muscles that lay under ellie’s heavy suit. each one molding against you just perfectly.
“can’t really blame 'em’ though, right?” ellie leaned into your ear, pressing her body against yours with much more fervor. she left soft kisses on the sensitive skin of your neck when you felt something prod at your thigh. you bit back a gasp, jerking against the wall as you looked down.
“you’re just so beautiful….” she cooed, a sharp tinge glimmering in her eyes. her words were gentle although her body told an entirely different story— and you would soon experience the magnitude of it. she hooked her calloused hands under your chin pulling you into a heated kiss. your hands roamed her body stopping at her crotch where you felt a strong bulge. immediately you went to unzip her pants but quickly stopped by ellie herself.
“n-no— not yet. get on the bed.”
you followed her orders without complaint. you took your spot on the bed as ellie watched, slowly peeling from her clothes. you followed suit stripping down to nothing but your underwear. once again, you reached for her yet she remained planted in her spot, desire burning in her eyes. you ached to have her near you— to have ellie inside of you.
“i need you ellie— please,” you whined, slowly soaking the thin piece of cloth over your core.
“yeah?”
dazed from anticipation you nodded mumbling incoherently. your hands trailed to your pussy, circling over the soft flesh as your wife hovered over you blinded by intense jealousy. she wanted nothing more than to see you beg. more as a reminder to herself than to you. no matter what happened during a case— you were hers and the simple sight of you pleading was enough to confirm that.
“where do you need me?” ellie teased, running her fingertips along the side of your thigh. she brought her index finger to your underwear, sliding it underneath.
“in—inside me.” you shivered at the cold contact, gripping the sheets as she continued. one worked on your clit, teasing the nub as one more made its way into your cunt. ellie couldn’t help but moan at the feeling— your walls clamped around her digits desperately as she curved them. pressing up into the spongy tissue that was your g-spot.
“o—oh shit…..”
you pressed your eyes closed relishing in the warmth that spread across your entire lower body. thick beads of sweat formed on your skin the more it persisted. ellie’s hand was slick with your fluids but it wasn’t enough. she picked up the pace drawing intense pleas from your lips that replicated music— yet she wanted to do more.
“tell me what you want, y/n.” her tone was so assertive and it made your head spin. you opened your eyes, forcing yourself to look back. frenzied short hairs clung to the side of her face and her cheeks were flushed, it all read of sweet determination. like she had something to prove.
“i want you to f-fuck me— with it,” you purred, your hands traveling back to the now-exposed dildo that sat in between her legs. ellie leaned down to kiss you once more before removing her fingers from your heart and bringing them to your lips. in one swift motion, ellie moved her body on top of yours, situating herself comfortably in between your legs. she kissed down your chest, cupping her hands over your toys as she brought each one to her mouth, feverishly sucking.
she sat up, teasingly running the silicone over your pussy coating the tip. the sensation caused you to jerk back, sending a smirk to ellie’s plush lips. after moments she moved forward, filling you to the hilt.
“is this what you wanted?”
“yes—yes it’s fucking perfect el,” you cried, hot tears welling in the corners of your eyes. she pursued a relentless pace, slamming her hips against. the rapid movement spread the pleasure all throughout your body, leaving you nearly speechless.
strings of obscenities filled ellie’s ears as she sunk into you with each merciless stroke. your legs shook from the impact, desperately wrapping against her. the bed rocked along with the two of you, crashing into the wall as ellie fucked you.
you clasped onto her face, cupping it in your palms as you brought her face down. she pressed her forehead against yours, her pants mixing with moans and the filthy sounds of your pussy.
“don’t stop, fuck me ha—“ your whines became caught in your throat as ellie pulled out, gently moving you into your stomach. she moved behind you, taking her place as she continued the fervent pace— this time with much more aggression.
your cheeks rubbed harshly against the fabric of the blanket. you weren’t given much time to adjust to the next position before that same pit pleasure took shape inside of you. and it strengthened with each taunting thrust of ellie’s hips.
she knew you were close, she could practically feel it in the way your body writhed underneath her. thus her movements had much more vigor and purpose behind them. she needed to bring you to unravel and she was going to be the one to do it. thus ellie placed a firm hand by your head to stabilize herself. using her free one to toy with your sensitive clit.
“close aren’t you?” she hummed.
“….please let me come” your voice grew weary and your body stiff. streams of pleasure rippled through your body and in a matter of seconds your vision was distorted by black spots. the sweet poisonous pit in your stomach unraveled, drawing deep loud moans from your lips.
ellie moved from your body. watching in awe as you soaked the white sheets beneath you, drenching them in fluids. shockwaves tore through your body beautifully leaving you a mess on the bed you shared with your wife. she left soft kisses all over your face and neck, slowly easing from your high.
“so beautiful…..”
as your vision cleared you gazed up at ellie, who hovered over you. the fierceness in her gaze was long gone, replaced with concern as she looked back at you.
neither of you said anything about the ordeal, in fact, you’d almost forgotten about it. instead, you were struck with fatigue. dozing off as ellie doted on you. she removed the wet sheets from the bed, replacing them with new comfortable ones for you to sleep on.
she took her spot snug behind you, burying her face into the crevice of your neck as she basked in your warmth. she adored these moments. especially the intimate one’s where she was able to see aspects of you that only she’d have the pleasure of experiencing. and it was all the reassurance she needed.

No Alarms And No Surprises ( Please ) ♡
( Re8!retired!Chris Redfield x GN!reader || retiring is harder than he thought ♡ retired!married!au , some angst w/ comfort ofc ♡ mentions of minor injuries/guns but nothing too graphic )
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chris flinched slightly as you dab ointment onto his palms. Instinctively, he puts his thumb in his mouth after you put ointment on it. He spits, gags a bit at the sterile taste of ointment on his thumb. His face sours at the taste. He had no idea why he did that or why he decided grabbing flowers from a nearby bush was a good idea before coming home.
Cute idea, bad execution. At least he tried. It's the thought that counts, right?
You sigh softly, holding the back of his hand in yours as you watch his whole ordeal unfold right in front of you. “My god Chris- be careful next time- don't put your thumb in your mouth-” you cut him off before he tries putting his thumb in his mouth again to sooth the cuts on the pad of his thumb. He freezes in place, stiffening up like a statue in his seat.
“Sorry…” He says in a low voice, apologizing for no reason at all. It wasn't his fault, in your eyes. In his eyes, it was his fault. For making you worry. Worrying for the worrywart didn't suit you. Doesn't suit you, at least in his eyes.
His eyes fall onto the bouquet of flowers on your coffee table, hastily put together with a somewhat rushed muted pink bow tying the whole thing together. He did what he could to make them look pretty. Chris wasn't the best at tying bows. Or putting together bouquets. He wasn't made for this type of life. At least, that's what he thought.
Domestic life didn't suit him, he told himself. He stares down at his hands, all cut up with a somewhat shiny sheen from the ointment you put on them. Cut up from picking flowers, not from fighting. Not from using guns.
“I just thought it'd be nice if I brought home flowers for you - I didn't know they had thorns, okay?” He says, looking over at your worried face. Seeing you looked so concerned for him hurt more than the palms of his hands. Stung more than the feeling of thorns pricking his skin.
“Still.” You get up from the floor, sitting next to him on the couch. His hands rest in yours, his much larger hands face up towards the ceiling. Yours support his, underneath the warmth of his hands was yours. Under his calloused palms were your soft ones.
“You still should be careful.” You look up at him, eyes filled with worry for your husband. “I'd rather you come home empty handed than with cut-up hands and roses for me, Chris.” You glance down at his hands, frowning softly. He didn't like seeing you like this either.
“I'm sorry.” He frowns, repeating his words from earlier in a more soft tone.
Domestic life was scarier to him, scarier than the things he's seen on the field. The warm feeling in his chest scared him, and it felt like something was blooming in his heart the more he looked at you. This feeling of comfort was foreign, a feeling that he didn't think he deserved.
Retiring was scary. He didn't know what to expect now. Everything was calmer. Softer. That scared him.
“You don't have to apologize.” You lean closer to him, lowering your head to look directly at him. The way your eyes softened on him made him feel something he couldn't really put into words. Safe? Loved? You made Chris feel a lot of things.
“I know but-” Chris cuts himself off, thinking it'd be for the best if he just shut himself up. “Flowers or not, I'll still love you.” You lean in for a kiss, softly pressing your lips against his cheek. “You don't need flowers to win me over again and again, you know that? I'll love you no matter what.” your words make him smile to himself, stupidly feeling your kiss linger on his cheek.

PART 13 (studying for finals and trying to figure out my work schedule for my Christmas break is a bitch to do bro 😭😭😭)
Anyways when reader and Mizu find Taigen in that dungeon that had them gollums looking mfs in. Of course reader and Mizu go to help him and get him out of there after finishing the gollum bitches and the fuck that looks like a sumo wrestler, & reader just takes more trinkets from the ground she could add to her gun and weapons (she's like crow istfg (me too)).
And when the place exploded and the three get thrown to the side of the castle which leaves the three holding on for dear life, Mizu just pulling through with Taigen on her back and reader using her Kunai to hold on the side of the building. And when they reach fowler and the other ppl (I forgor the others, all I remember is the twinky sounding guy that hangs around Fowler.) Reader and Mizu go on full force on Fowler. Reader using rope to pull Fowler over like Scorpion and throwing him over to Mizu and beat the shit out of the Irish man.
While reader and Mizu fuck up Fowler, Fowler manhandles reader and reader literally gets shot in the leg and gets thrown across the room. Mizu is ofc very angry and tries to kill Fowler and gets absolutely wrecked by a fucking gun. So last ditch effort, reader manages to shoot Fowler's shoulder with her pistol and Mizu gets Taigen and Reader and flees.
Ringo finds all three of them absolutely dying and brings them sword father 😸😸😸 and Mizu very awkwardly introduces Reader as her wife to sword father and he's just like "👴🏼 kay."
(That's all I can think of lol)
Tumblr media
(I ran out of Mizu gifs)
pairing: mizu x fem!apothecary!reader
warning(s): swearing, blood, guns, reader is still kinda high but is coming to
a/n: TWINKY SOUNDING GUY???? DO… DO YOU MEAN HEJI?? 😭😭😭😭 IM DYING (he.. was kinda 💅🏻)
word count: 1,096 words / 6,013 characters
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
you glanced around, slowly coming out of the high those flowers had brought you to. you were a little freaked out by the terrifying gollum like statues surrounding the room.
mizu grasped you gently, making sure you didn’t entirely flip out.
your eyes landed on taigen, battered and bloodied, probably on the brink of death if you could guess.
“holy shit,” you whispered, a hand coming up to cover your mouth.
you could see a man, large as a boulder, you were sure—stood across the room. mizu approached him, wearily, but she still approached him.
your heart pounded in your chest. he could easily crush mizu, if so desired.
yet you trusted her.
you turned your attention to taigen. you never liked taigen, no, you would probably kill the man given the chance.
but you weren’t just going to let him die now, it felt like a duty deep in your chest to heal.
along the way you had picked up small trinkets and things you would keep for later.
your main goal was to heal taigen enough so he wouldn’t die, a little pain wouldn’t hurt him.
when you were done, it seemed mizu was, too—she was heaving, covered in blood and black and blue bruises.
“come grab him,” you rose to your feet, standing up straight as you could. “we need to get out of here and —-“
your voice is cut off with a loud boom sound, followed by smaller and smaller booms.
the place was going down, with you three in it.
a shrill scream left your lips, grasping onto a kunai quickly and plunging it into the side of the building, right beside a framed window.
mizu was grasping onto your hand, still breathing heavy with taigen clasping onto her.
you manage to pull yourself into the window, your heart pounding in your chest as mizu and taigen pulled themselves in behind you.
“ah, so your the mysterious demon that’s been ripping through japan?”
an irish accent bleeds into the room, your eyes wiping upward to see that of a white man.
the white man mizu had so been chasing.
“you,” mizu said with a deep growl in her voice, slowly pushing herself up onto her feet.
mizu couldn’t possibly fight fowler on her own, in her condition.
so you slunk around, grabbing a rope on your way. you slid behind fowlers chair, catching him in the rope by his throat—tossing him over to mizu.
you watched as your wife absolutely destroyed the Irish fuck, smiling a little as you did so.
that’s when you felt a hand grasp your throat, tugging you over into the heat of the battle.
you grabbed one of your weapons, holding it in a shaky hand, as you slowly lost consciousness from your lack of air.
“get your fucking dirty hands off her,” mizu growled.
“oh? okay,” his hands worked quickly, whipping out a pistol, firing the shot right below your thigh.
you screamed, your scream so haunting, mizu thought it would live in her mind for the rest of her life.
he tossed you across the room, your back hitting the wall as you desperately held your injury—trying to clot the bleeding as best as you could.
a fire, burned in mizu’s blue eyes.
a fire you thought you had never seen before.. pure anger and rage steered her now.
mizu attempted to lunge at him, take his demon ass down, but was hit out of the way with the end of the pistol.
you still had your pistol, tucked in your kimono.
in a last resort effort, you grabbed it, attempting to point it right at fowlers head.
your shaky hands lead it to his shoulder, though, firing the gunshot right through his shoulder.
it tears the pair apart, mizu falling onto her back and scampering back to her barley steady feet.
she grabbed taigen, rushing over to you and grabbing you, as well.
once outside, you find ringo, looking through the snowy trees.
“.. mizu?” ringo gasps, his eyes traveling to you and taigen, as well. “where have you..”
“fowlers castle, ringo,” she answers hurriedly, her voice raspy and laced with pain. “please, ringo, if.. if she doesn’t get some sort of fucking medical attention soon—she’ll bleed out and.. I.. I can’t..” mizu’s voice cracks, holding you tight to her body. “can’t afford to loose her.”
ringo’s expression softens, a bit. they weren’t on the best of terms.. but seeing mizu so vulnerable lit something within him.
and he quite liked you. he wouldn’t let you die for no good reason.
“okay, master,” ringo nodded, grabbing taigen by his arms so she could properly hold you.
she held you bridal in her arms, her thumbs rubbing against the exposed bloody skin of your hips.
“it’ll be alright,” she whispered, knowing you could somewhat hear her, “you’re not allowed to die before i do, you know.”
a faint, weak chuckle leaves your lips, “I-I didn’t… p-plan on it..”
you make it to the swordfather’s. you had never met swordfather, before, but mizu had told you about him.
he sounded like a father, to mizu. her only real connection to a loving parent.
and of course, you were meeting him with a gunshot in your leg.
“boy,” eiji greeted, gesturing for her to lie you down. “ringo has informed me of what happened.”
mizu looks up at ringo, nodding to the man thankfully.
she laid you down, sitting by your side and watching eiji’s hands carefully. his hands were old, yet precise in their movements. despite his age, and his blindness, he had the most steady hands mizu knew.
she trusted him to stitch you up, unlike she would trust anyone else.
she grasped your hand as you winded in pain, holding it tight to her chest so you could feel her heart beating beneath her clothes.
your eyes were slightly open, gazing up at her. she nodded to you, ruffling a hand slowly through your hair.
“oh.. I..” mizu whispered, “I never introduced you two,” she mumbled. “this is my wife, (y/n), swordfather.”
eiji scoffed, “hm,” he nodded. “your wife, hm? though you’ve never settled down, on this foolish quest, that has almost killed her?
she sighed, adverting her eyes. she knew eiji was right. she was so foolish, bringing you so close to danger you were shot by a white man.
“yes,” mizu whispered. “I have.”
he scoffed again, “at least you can admit it. now go and get your wife some water, and return after you’ve thought about all of this.”
The Red Wedding.
Tumblr media
Summary: Weddings are times for Celebrations, but this wedding takes the cake.
Pairings: Mafia!Steve Rogers x OFC
Words: 3.6k
Warnings: Violence lots of violence, and Peggy Carter.
A/N: It's been a while and I'm super excited to post this. This is based on a scene from a movie I watched today that just made my jaw drop super different but has the same premise.
When one is young there is always that time when you picture the perfect wedding, the perfection in every detail from the large venue with the gorgeous view to the smallest ribbon that would be used. Everything was methodical. Yet here you stood blood splattering your beautiful pearl white dress, hair in disarray, mascara smudged and running, and a loaded gun in your hand.
  Guests were frantically running around trying to find some sense of what the hell had just happened. From across the room, you watched your husband face you taking a step forward and then another until he was only a few feet away, you raised the gun pointing it at him, but not once did he flinch at your action.
“Me chingastes Steve, por ultima ves me chingastes hijo de puta.”
Taking a deep breath, you pulled the trigger.
-         3 Hours Earlier       -
The ceremony had been beautiful, Steve had gone all out on expenses never once asking anything from your parents. This had brought much joy to your father as he acted like the cat that ate the canary, every time he showed a hint of smugness you couldn’t help but roll your eyes sharing some meaningful glances with Steve.
In a sense yes, your father was earning a lot with your marriage to Steve, by having his business be administered by the biggest mafia boss in Brooklyn and if his price was to let him have his only child that was a sacrifice, he was willing to make. Well, not much of a sacrifice since you and Steve had been together for quite some time joined to the hip since he was a sickly kid until he rose in ranks and his abrupt puberty where he grew three times his size and could plummet anybody who looked at you funny into the ground.
With how long you both had been together it was almost inevitable for your engagement to be announced, everybody knew and everybody important was invited. With Steve and you deciding to keep the ceremony private (much to the chagrin of your father), with your parents, Bucky Steve’s best friend and righthand man, and Sam Steve’s other best friend present everything went smoothly just like you had always pictured.
The ride over to the venue was filled with heated kisses and touches that made you lose your breath; you could feel his smug smile as he kissed your neck. Everything was going as planned your entrance was greeted with big cheers and applauses, at some point you and Steve were separated he was being taken by Sam and Bucky to join the other boys while you took the liberty of greeting your other guest trying to make time before the real festivities began.
Half an hour later, after removing yourself from a painful conversation with your Tia where she went on and on about her newly installed backyard grill, you were able to meet with Steve again who looked a little disheveled but otherwise unharmed. He was grinning a stupid smile marking his face as he pulled you close, giving you small kisses and finally bringing you into a big hug, burying his nose into your hair.
“You don’t know how happy you’ve made me by tying yourself to me indefinitely.”
You huffed out a laugh hitting his chest at his remark, “Menso, I married you because I love you don’t be calling our marriage me tying myself to you.”
You gave him a small smirk, “I mean I can still get rid of you at any time.”
Steve let out a deep growl pulling you flush against him; you give a small yelp at his roughness trying to look around and see if anybody noticed, noting that most people were avoiding looking or walking toward your area. Steve jostled you again forcing your attention back to him, you knew Steve like the back of your hand and at that moment, you knew that if it would have just been the two of you Steve wouldn’t have hesitated to throw you over this table and fuck you into oblivion.
“Baby you really do know how to get me going, I can’t wait until we get home so I can fuck you into every surface that I can get you on.”
Bucky, who was the only person who was brave enough to come near you cleared his throat, he motioned behind him where several people had congregated to talk. Steve’s face turned stormy pulling away from you fixing himself to a proper state, he gave Bucky a nod who turned back towards the group, Steve looked pissed, and this worried you because you knew Steve and he would never let his emotions show especially in such an open venue where most of his competitors were present.
Whatever this was it was serious.
You grabbed his hand giving him a brief squeeze to let him know that it was okay, he gave a soft huff giving you a brief kiss before heading over to Bucky and the other men. You didn’t want anybody to see you worried, raising a glass to the DJ a soft cumbia started that got many people to join the dance floor keeping many busy and others distracted.
You watched Steve and the men as they talked in hurried hushed tones, you could see the tension building as one of the men who you knew was Tony who was from the Manhattan district showed something to Steve that made him madder. The music drowned out most people and they left you alone, just as you were beginning to relax you hear the tell-tale sign of your ringtone you knew you should have kept it silent, but you were waiting on a particularly important phone call from your firm for a recent case.
You grabbed your phone ‘UNKOWN NUMBER’ displayed across the screen, it confused you, so you let it ring not bothering to pick it up. The ringing stopped but soon after it started again, you knew you couldn’t ignore it any longer if they were going to keep insisting.
“Hello?”
“Finally, I get ahold of you!” A deep feminine voice answered through the line, “Congratulations on the wedding! You’re a lucky girl today.”
“Who is this? What do you want?” You looked around the room trying to see if you could spot anybody with a phone.
“Calm down kid, I just wanted to give you a little information on the man you just married,” The lady on the line laughed and you couldn’t help the annoyance that brought on you.
“Look lady I don’t know who the fuck you are but you’re getting on my fucking nerves.”
“Oh, sweetie I was just trying to make conversation, I just wanted you to know what your husband was doing or who he was doing just a few days a few days ago or specifically last Thursday.”
That stopped you cold, you knew exactly what she was talking about. Last week Steve had gone out early in the morning saying that he had an important meeting with a buyer, and he stayed out late almost coming home until early the next morning. You remembered since you had stayed up to wait for him and to finish working on some case files before you had to head out on your honeymoon.
“He worked me out all night until early morning, it was an amazing goodbye gift he gave me before he tied himself to you.”
At this point you were shacking both in anger and in sorrow at what could be the truth, you looked to where Steve was still preoccupied with his friends at that moment he looked up and caught your eye his face melted into something lovingly and you couldn’t help the choked sobbed that worked its way out your throat. You heard the lady on the line laugh at your sob and you knew that she was a sadistic bitch who was enjoying your pain.
“Quien chingados eres? You fucking bitch if you have the balls to call me on my wedding day and tell me all of this you should also have the balls to tell me your fucking name.”
She laughed again loving the fact that she was able to get you to this state, “You should ask him who Peggy Carter is and you’ll know in an instant that I’m not lying to you.”
The line went dead after and all you could focus on was the dial tone, you were fuming not just at this Peggy lady but at Steve for making you a fool. At this point you weren’t in control of yourself everything seemed so loud and too quiet as you made your way to Steve and the other men, pushing past them not caring who they were until Steve was the only thing you could see.
“Who the fuck is Peggy Carter?” Steve’s eyes widened at the name and all the other men in the group began to murmur amongst each other, but your focus was only on Steve who seemed to have lost all color.
“Baby how do you know that name?” His answer was enough to set you off as you punched his chest slapping the phone onto his chest, your only goal was to get answers from him and hurt him as much as you were hurting. Bucky tried to grab your arm, but Steve shook his head no and that just made you madder.
“Te la cogiste verdad hijo de puta? You fucked her a week before our fucking wedding, how could you?”
Steve was holding onto your arms trying to stop you from hitting him but also from hurting yourself, he pulled you forward until you were squished against his chest but that just felt like you were suffocating so you pushed him away.
“Answer me you fucking coward, did you fuck her?”
“No baby I would never do that to you, you know how much I love you.”
“Don’t lie to me Rogers or I swear to god I’ll fucking kill you.”
Just as Steve was about to answer a few gunshots ranged out across the room, Steve pushed you down until he was covering around you, and people began to run around as glass shattered and screams went around the room. Steve pushed you towards Bucky telling him to get you out of there as more shots were fired Bucky handed Steve a gun as he began to pull you towards the exit.
“Bucky let me go,” You screeched as you fought against him, he ignored you keeping himself close as he walked you towards the exit. From your position you couldn’t see much, just people running from every exit that they could find. Just as you were reaching the door you spotted a brown-haired woman walking towards where Steve was, seeming to ignore the chaos around and strolling towards your husband as if there was no care in the world. Her lips were painted a deep red matching her dress and something in you just knew.
This fucking bitch was Peggy Carter.
“Bucky you have to go to Steve, you have to tell him that Peggy is here.”
Bucky seemed to have come to the same conclusion as he watched Peggy making her way to where Steve was fighting some goon oblivious to her presence.
“I’ll be fine just go to Steve, give me a gun,” He whipped his head towards a conflicted look until he reached into his inner pocket and removed a gun for you.
“You better not make me regret this,” Were his last words until he was sprinting towards Steve dodging men as much as he could. You turned to the exit running towards the kitchen where you knew you could lose someone or find someplace to hide. Just as you reached the doors to outs you were yanked back by a strong force, slamming you onto the floor stealing your breath away.
You knew you only had seconds to react, you shot up a few rounds hoping something would hit. A grunt, and then a thump as the man fell over. There was blood and a lot of it, most of it had missed you but there was still a rogue spray that hit you. You got up shakily, you knew how to shoot a gun, but never had you killed someone like this.
Your insides felt loose and firm and you couldn’t help but throw up everything from that day until you were dry heaving. You must have taken too long because as soon as you steadied yourself somebody was already grabbing you. You tried to struggle against your grabber but stopped as you felt the barrel of the gun being pressed against your head.
“Don’t try anything sweetheart, now you and I are gonna take a little trip back into the reception” he started shoving you forward, “Can’t have you leaving your own party early now, can we?”
You grunted as he pushed you hard enough that your foot gave out a little, it wasn’t extreme, but it did cause you to start limping much to the annoyance of your captor. He pushed you towards the doors leading to the reception, Steve was bound to a chair Peggy was on his lap Bucky and Sam were surrounded by men keeping them from doing anything without getting killed. The moment the doors had slammed open everybody turned to you, Steve’s eyes seemed to widen as he looked at all the blood and your limping state, he began to fight against his restraints jostling Peggy out of his lap.
The gun being pressed to your temple stops him from doing anything else. Peggy huffs motioning for the man holding you to bring you forward. You didn’t have your gun anymore; Steve was incapacitated, and Bucky and Sam had every gun on them you knew that this looked like you had lost. The moment that you were close Peggy drew you into a hug, you recoiled trying to get away from her but a gun to your back stopped you.
“After our heart-to-heart through the phone, this is how you’re going to repay me?” Peggy pouted at you, and this made it clear she was crazy.
“Yeah, well I just saw it as some crazy bitch trying to ruin my perfect day, how would you see it?” That must have been the wrong thing as Peggy’s face became enraged, she swung her hand at you a sting running from your cheek where she struck you.
“Get the fuck away from her Peggy or I swear,” Steve yelled at her fighting to get himself off the chair, Peggy ignored him tooting in disagreement.
“Baby if you don’t stop trying to get out of that chair, I’ll start hurting your little bitch.” Steve seemed to be having a fight with himself trying to find a way to get out of this and get you to safety. Peggy walked towards Steve leaning down to whisper something in his ear that made him mad but made no move to fight.
“Now baby, how about you tell your wife about the wonderful time we had, how you told me how much you loved me and how the only reason why we couldn’t be together was that you were getting much more from the deal.”
Bucky, who was still on the ground, whipped his head towards you ready to say something but was stopped as the man behind him pressed the barrel into the back of his head stopping him.
“Just let her know baby, tell her what we did, and I promise you I’ll let her go.” Steve seemed to contemplate before dropping his head in defeat.
“It’s true, we were together last Thursday,” Steve made a face as if he was in pain, almost as if the words he was spitting out hurt, “I was having second thoughts about getting married, I didn’t know if you were the right person for me.”
Steve’s words hit you hard, all the pain and rage that was inside you was brewing and at this point, you were unsure if you were about to scream or throw up.
“Peggy she was there, and I took my chance to figure it out if you were what I wanted.” He lamely finished, his face twisted into a grimace but all you could see was Peggy’s stupid grin and that just made you angry. You slammed your heel into your captor and threw your head back until it collided with his face, and he released you with a yelp. Bucky and Sam seemed to have taken advantage of the distraction as they flew back against their own captors wrestling them into the ground. Steve slammed himself back smashing the chair into pieces to free himself. Your captor tackled you down, slamming your head into the floor obscenities flying at you before Steve practically ripped him off from you.
Peggy began to rush away but you took the chance from everybody’s distraction to go after her, you were unsteady, but she did not get far as you tackled her. She began to throw punches at you, one of them catching you in your cheek, the other splitting your lip, but you weren’t far off as you also landed your own blows.
“You fucking Perra, you ruined my wedding and I’m going to fucking kill you.”
Peggy reached around her trying to find a way to get you off her, her hands grazing the floor until she latched onto a shard of champagne glass from the earlier altercation. She lashed up cutting your arm and making you retreat as she tried to keep slashing at you. She rushed over trying to stab you screaming her head off at you as she did.
“He was mine; he was always mine and you fucking took him away you fucking bitch. He loves me not you.” She cried as she slashed your arms. You pushed her away as she stumbled back and fell just as she was going to get up, she was stopped by Bucky who had incapacitated everybody else.
Steve walked towards Bucky looking down at a struggling Peggy, “Take her somewhere else, we’ll deal with her later.”
You walked away, your leg was starting to hurt and the cuts from the glass were stinging, this wasn’t your fight anymore and you were done. People were rushing around, reinforcements from someone else, and at this point, you really didn’t care, you knew you would have to call your parents and check on them, you knew they had gotten out but still.
You reached down to collect a bottle of champagne that was still intact and an abandoned gun. You knew you still had one thing to deal with and you could finally head home and relax, but this would just have to be a priority. You turned back to the scene; your husband was still directing people trying to clear out as much as he could.
You watched your husband as he pointed at things around, he turned towards you, taking in your running mascara blood-covered dress, and messy hair, and all he felt was deep love at how strong you were in all this. He walked towards you trying to get as close as he could stopping short as he saw the gun in your hand, you raised it aiming at him but that didn’t scare him, the only thoughts that came into his mind were how beautiful you looked and how lucky he was to have you.
“Me chingastes Steve, por ultima ves me chingastes hijo de puta.”
Steve didn’t move and felt the bullet graze his arm, but he didn’t care as the rage melted off you, and concern was all he saw. You rushed forward discarding the gun and bottle, you grabbed at his arm trying to see the damage you caused but instead met a firm chest as Steve held you close.
“Chingate Steve, dejame ver, let me see your arm you fucking asshole.” You pushed away from him as you removed his suit to look at his arm, he began to caress your face you ignored him as you ripped away at his shirt.
“This doesn’t change anything you know, I’m fucking pissed at you asshole,” You looked up at Steve who only showed love in his eyes, “You’re lucky I don’t file for an annulment.”
Steve felt the breath being squeezed out of him, just the idea of you not being with him scared him.
“Baby, I promise you with all that I have and to my last breath that I was never with her, I’ve only ever loved you and I promise you that everything she said was a lie.” Steve was outright begging at this point trying to make you believe him, and you knew Steve you’ve always known Steve.
“Of course, I know, don’t be a pendejo about this I know you, Steve, I did doubt you, but I know that disrespecting me and us like that is not in you.”
You looked away seeing Bucky pick up the gun you had used on Steve as he pocketed away, he caught your eye and nodded at you and Steve as if to ask if you were okay. You knew he wasn’t asking about your injuries, so you nodded at him, he inclined his head and turned to Sam slapping him in the back which made the other man yelp and punches him back.
“Steve yo te amo, and I know you, I’ve always known what type of man you are,” You pushed up, your foot complained against it, but you brushed your lips against his which made him melt at your touch, “I love you.”
Steve let the tension out, kissing you passionately as if he were trying to engrave your memory into his brain.
“I love you too.”
Live From New York Ch1
Tumblr media
Pairing: Mob!Bucky Barnes x OFC
Summary: He thought he was doing the right thing by leaving her. He thought he was keeping her safe.
Anslei Black was- no scratch that, she is the love of his life and her just let her go.
It has been five years and James "Bucky" Barnes is trying to leave her in the past. That is until his men come and give him some news. Anslei Black is back in New York, and she is not alone. They show him the surveillance pictures and what is staring back at him has shattered his cold heart.
Anslei isn't alone. She is with a little boy. A little boy with his steel blue eyes, a mischief smile and a Gun N Rose's T-shirt. He has a son, and he will burn New York down before he lets anything happen to them.
Warnings: mentions of guns, mentions of kidnapping and torture, swearing, protective Bucky (that’s a warning trust me 😭), mentions of threats of violence. That’s all I can think of.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
"Mommy I'm scared."
"Me too baby."
*************************************************************************************
His hair was black. Just like hers. His eyes were a steel blue just like the man he never knew. He couldn't believe it. He'd been staring at Steve and Tony for the past fifteen minutes and neither of them dared to move. Tony just dropped the biggest bomb, and they were all waiting for Bucky to explode and strew shrapnel.
He had a kid.
He had a kid. A little boy.
Bucky looked Tony dead in the eyes and the man flinched. "Tell me all that again, slowly." Tony looked at Steve as if to say, 'Save me'.
"Buck. Listen -" He was cut off by Bucky slamming his hand on the desk. "No! You fucking listen to yourself Steve! You've been lying to me about Anslei for years! Years. God! What if she had gotten hurt or worse?! I wouldn't have known because you two fucks lied!!"
Steve's lip twitched and he let out a scoff. "Listen to yourself Bucky!! You're the one that left her. No. Abandoned her!" Bucky flinched at that. He opened his mouth to remind Steve of his place, but Steve was on a roll. "She gave up everything for you. She lost everyone for you! Cause she loved your sorry ass, and you couldn't get over your guilt of the one fucking time she got hurt! Yes, she got hurt but she didn't die. No, you killed her the day you left her on that doorstep. Injured and alone." Steve's chest heaved with the anger he's held on to for years. Bucky blinked and looked down. Steve was right and he couldn't even be mad.
"You're right. I fucked up okay. I fuckedup and I'll never forgive myself. But this is about the past. I can't doanything about that. She has my kid and now we need to intervene. No one willever be able to touch her again. Or my kid." He straightened his back. He puton his mask of The Winter Soldier on, the most feared man in New York. "Tony, get all the information you can on Anslei and the kid. I want bank info, work, hell, I want to know when her last dentist appointment was. Everything. When you get her address, get Harley and Peter to sit on her house. Anywhere she or the kid goes, they go too."
Tony nodded at his order and left. Bucky then turned hishead to his best friend, brother, and right-hand man. "I outta knock your lights out for talkin' to me like that." Steve rolled his eyes. "You could try." Punk. Bucky took a deep breath and sat down. "I have a kid." Steve nodded and sat across from him. Steve reached over the desk and pulled the surveillance pictures towards himself. The ones that Natasha had taken two weeks ago. "Anslei still looks the same." He looked up at Bucky and Bucky nodded with a small smile.
"Still looks to good foryou. Doesn't even look like she had a baby." Steve ducked just in time to miss getting hit in the eye with a pen. "Watch it punk." Steve laughed and looked at the little boy in the picture. He was wearing jeans and a Guns N Roses t-shirt. He gave a small smile at that. The kid had Anslei's hair but Bucky's everything. He looked exactly like him. Like a carbon copy of Bucky.
In the photo, he was looking up at Anslei while she tried to clean a-scuff off his chin. The kid was smiling with mischief. He was defiantly Bucky's kid. “Poor kid got stuck with your ugly mug." Bucky smiled tightly and gestured for Steve to hand over the picture. He had a kid. With Anslei. Steve was right. He looked exactly like him. Even the dimples that only a few people have seen when he smiled. A genuine smile. "I fucked up Stevie. I fucked up leaving her. I thought maybe she'd be safer that way. Now. Now, I just wanther home. I want to meet my son. For the second fucking time in my life, I want something."
Steve eyes were glossy seeing his brother being so vulnerable. Steve cleared his throat and willed his tears away. "When was the first time?" He smiled already knowing the answer. "When I watched her clock you in the face."
The medium-sized living room was arranged neatly, hanging like a knapsack off of a narrow way leading into the kitchen. Everything was neat- the furniture was arranged perfectly straight, each leg of each chair aligning with each other. As tidy as everything was, it was not the kind of setting the young men were used to. They were used to trashed rooms smelling strongly of sweat, alcohol and cigarette smoke; furniture toppled, on their sides, and covered in a sheen of girl dander. The young men twitched their noses, willing them to smell the familiar smells of their apartment. The nice, fresh-scented room of the house was nothing like that, and they immediately set to correcting this by kicking their cowboy boots off carelessly and lighting cigarettes only to litter them on the floor once they’d been half-smoked and charred.
“Well,” puffed Axl, after his blue eyes wandered around the room for a moment. He cleared his throat. “This is nice.”
He had a cousin of sarcasm in his voice, but it went completely undetected by Steven.
“Oh, thank you,” Steven heartily smiled. “Thank you very much. I can’t take credit, though. I have a sister who likes the clean up around the place for me.”
“Woah, wait,” Slash held his hand up for Steven to be quiet. “You have a sister?”
Steven chuckled. “Slash, you know I have a sister. I’ve told you about her before.”
“You have not!” Slash cried. “I would have remembered it.”
“Well, she always hides out whenever you guys come over. I sometimes get the feeling she doesn’t really like you.”
“How old is she?” pestered Duff. “Is she pretty?”
Steven grinned. “She’s here- she's downstairs. Go down and see for yourself.”
I was in no mood for visitors.
In a particularly sulky mood for no good reason at all, I sat down hard on the old sofa, its springs beneath the off-yellow cushions squeaking loudly as if for help. I pressed the large button on my remote and tossed my head back, wondering if I could find anything interesting on the television.
When the screen blinked to life, it was on MTV. An interview of my brother’s band, Guns N’ Roses, was playing on a low volume. I huffed in annoyance, and cast my glance upward. Those same five young men on the television were the same five young men upstairs, stomping heavily on the ground with feet I just knew were sweaty and bare. I stifled a gag. They did not come over very often, but when they did, I was sure I locked the door downstairs, or was out of the house. I was in close proximity to their bad reputation, and it was nothing I was very proud to be associated with. And when I did return home if I’d been out, I found the house trashed, and Steven sheepishly asking me to help him clean it.
“You can clean it yourself,” I told him, not unkindly.
Tonight, I sat downstairs with the television on, changing the channel quickly. But when it did not change to anything I liked, I was half-tempted to crawl out the open window and walk inconspicuously away to my friend’s house down the road.
I heard the locked door upstairs rattle, prompting me to frown in confusion and look that way. To my shock, I heard it open.
“Dude!” Slash was awestruck. “You just picked open that door, man! That’s so cool!”
I knew Steven was grinning a prideful, snaggletoothed smile. I heard Axl deeply chuckle.
“Anyone can do that,” he said, boastfully. “How do you think I got out of jail back home?”
I saw his shadow against the staircase wall do a theatrical flip of his copper-colored hair.
I heard their hard, heavy footsteps tramping down the stairs, and I turned back around with my eyes on the television. Even if I was not interested at all in the program being shown, maybe they would leave me be if they thought I was. However, knowing Steven and his rambunctious friends, that was a little too much to hope for.
“Knock-knock!” came Steven’s voice, as he led the small parade down the stairs.
I turned, giving him a violent glare. When I did, the other band members instantly blushed and twinkles bloomed in their eyes. Now, why did you do that? I asked myself, in annoyance at my own decision to look. I was a girl, and they were Guns N’ Roses. It took no genius to figure out the things that would happen, or come close to happening, next.
“Dude,” I heard Axl say, lowly. “She’s pretty.”
“I’ll say,” Slash said, quietly.
I heard the soft, bone-chilling voice of Izzy. “She’s too good for any of us,” he said, still sounding a little smitten.
“Speak for yourself,” said Slash, proudly. “Come on, guys. One of us should go talk to her!”
Axl ventured out of the close huddle of them, around to where he could see my side profile from behind the couch. Coming back to his band members, he shook his head.
“She looks mean,” he whispered, loudly.
“Oh, she is mean,” Steven testified. “You oughtta’ have to try living with her.”
Duff laughed. “That’s only because you’re her annoying little brother,” he said. “She probably thinks you’re a pain in the butt. Which you are, if I might add.”
It was only a tease, but Steven gave him a menacing frown.
“Alright, alright,” Slash spoke up, and reached into the pockets of his black, ripped jeans. He relinquished a folded bill of green money. “The first one of us to go flirt with her gets five bucks.”
He waved them before the faces of the band members only to tantalize them.
“Come on,” he said. “Five dollars. That’ll get you what- two? Three packs of Marlboro’s these days?”
Steven stood back, laughing. The three young men exchanged uncomfortable glances. They wanted both the money and a few minutes of my attention. But they climb over the wall of their nerves to obtain both?
“Why don’t you do it, Slash?” asked Steven. “Then, you could keep the money.”
Slash flushed bright red, and knowing he was embarrassed, he added quickly, “I’m not nervous.” (But he was too nervous to realize that didn’t even answer the question.)
Duff looked over his shoulder at the back of my head. Then, he said, “I’ll do it.”
Izzy rolled his eyes. “Oh, really?”
“Really!” Duff nodded, but he began to nervously fidget. “I’m more than willing! Give me the dough, though, first, Slash. I don’t trust you not to go back on your word.”
Slash looked at the five dollar bill wistfully, as if bidding it farewell. He handed it to Duff, who took it in his black leather-gloved hand.
Duff stalked across the room, to the old sofa where I was sitting.
Don’t look at him, I thought to myself, pinching hard under my knee. Don’t.
He was attractive. He was a tall blonde with shimmering, silky hair colored dark underneath. He had twinkling blue eyes, fair skin, and a pert nose. He had a clenched, infectious smile. I saw him, inevitably, in the betrayal of my   vision. Do not look at him. Do not.
Duff thumped roughly down on the couch. The springs squeaked and I even bounced a little with the rise of the cushion. I gave a little puff of annoyance.
“Hi, kid,” he said, with a toss of his head. He pulled a red box of cigarettes from the inside pocket of his denim jacket.
I said nothing, but not to be rude. I was given only a few seconds of time in which to contemplate what to say. I still could think of nothing when my invisible, microscopic hourglass ran out, and I sat staring forward at the television.
Duff gestured to the television. “Good program you’re watching there,” he said.
I shrugged. “I find it boring.”
It was mean, but I did get a small rise of amusement out of that, because it was a Guns N’ Roses music video that was now showing on television. Ignoring the subtle insult on his band, Duff light a cigarette. A cloud of curly smoke shrouded him, the strong smell burning in my eyes.
“Care for one?” he held the cigarette box out to me.
I finally broke the promise to myself and gave him a hardened look.
“I don’t smoke,” I told him. “I find it unhealthy and gross.”
Duff raised his eyebrows, but I couldn’t tell if he was offended or amused.
“Oh, you’re opinionated,” Duff smirked. “I kinda like that in a woman, myself.”
A smile tempted to break through my face. Summoning all my strength to force it back away, I was not able to stop my face from blushing. When it did, I saw Duff get a conceited look of victory in his eyes.
“Looks like you have opinions, too,” I told him.
“Oh, plenty of ‘em,” said Duff. “More than you can imagine.”
I let myself smile. I raised one eyebrow and turned to face him.
“I don’t know. I can imagine quite a bit. Especially from someone like you, Duff McKagan from Guns N’ Roses.”
Duff snickered. “Now, that’s just creepy. You know my name, but I don’t know yours.”
“Well, if you haven’t noticed, you are a famous rock star,” I reminded him, helpfully. “And you’re my brother’s friend. Of course I know your name.”
Duff raised one dark eyebrow high, his face pinned to one side from a smirk-ish grin.
“What’s your name, kid?”
I sighed. “Y/N,” I finally admitted. “If you must know, it’s Y/N.”
Duff glanced back at the others. They were watching with rapt interest. Slash was looking a little sadly at the money in his hand, as if he wished he didn’t have to give it away. But one congratulatory look from him to Duff told Duff he would get it, anyway.
“Well, Y/N,” Duff leaned back, happily proud of himself. “You should start comin’ ‘round more. To our shows and all that.”
“All that…” I said, under my breath. But I was smiling so wide it was hopeless to hide it at that point.
Duff reached into the inside of his denim coat.
“I save tickets for times like these,” he said. “I mean, I never know when I’ll come across a pretty girl that I want to remember.”
Before I could stop to swoon, he handed me a ticket to one of their late night shows in one of the nearby clubs.
“Get Steven to take you so’s you can be there early,” Duff told me. “You’ll do that for me, kiddo?”
I looked at the ticket in my hand. Then, I looked at the attractive, blonde bassist. I nodded, preparing for a promise I was not sure my nervousness would let me keep.
“I’ll be there.”
Your mind was a mixture of light and dark, complimentary colors, and images burned into your mind that you wanted to paint later. If there wasn’t a brush in your hand you were taking notes with a pencil, sketching the world around it through eyes that only you saw it from. You captured everyday life like the older woman with the mesh bag she had filled with fruit or the man with his red beard, a few weeks unkept, napping in the alley to get a break from the heat. You took these people, characters of the world and had them live forever on the canvas you painted on.
Art was your passion. You loved walking around Hollywood with a set of watercolors or a notebook to sketch in and take in the lives of others. There was some sort of poetic feeling of taking a stranger from the street and importilizing them as a character in your art. You created a narrative for them that they may not be living. It was cathartic and you’d spend hours of your day people watching until you finally found the right subject.
Sketching out a bump on someone's nose that might have come from a childhood accident or from their Freshman year of college when they drunkenly fell down the front steps of the dorm, you created their unknown life story as you placed each line of their face into place. If you didn’t infuse their story into the piece it was just some colorful person without any meaning. But you wanted to give the viewer of your art a full piece. They should be able to look at your picture and understand the life that the subject lived; your art created that life.
It was crazy to think that a few years before you were in school thinking about becoming an English teacher.It was a chance meeting at a grocery store when you ran into your old friend Saul’s mother. When you had been kids the pair of you had been so close and secretly your mothers had both had fingers crossed for a wedding that never happened. The pair of you split apart the summer after senior year to set out of a life you each wanted. His mother had invited you over for dinner, which she also invited her son to, thrusting the pair of you back into each other's lives.
Oddly enough, it was like time hadn’t passed between you. The easiness of your friendship coming back without even trying and soon the pair of you were hanging out on almost a daily basis. With your schedule up helped manage his house, buying groceries, doing some cleaning, and running a few errands he never remembered. In return you had a few rooms to yourself. Slash had wanted to make sure you had time for your art as well as a space for it.
Dressing in a white floral pattern sundress you grabbed your bag that contained your art supplies. You wanted to get to the park early and set up a blanket you could spend the day sketching and painting on. You planned to soak up the sun in your skin and use the good lighting to get some new work to sell for the craft fair this weekend. As you turned to grab the picnic foods you had made the night before you saw Axl sitting at the counter. His green eyes looked up, smiling when he saw you.
“Hey, Y/N. Slash just left. I’m going to leave in a minute. I was just finishing up some lyrics.” he was always over and you thought that he was lonely in his role as lead singer. Even though Axl put on this tough guy imagine and had a reputation it was like he needed to work for that because he thought that was what rock stars were supposed to do. Whenever he was around you he seemed lost, always making extra conversation or taking the time to go walk to the coffee cafe with you and wait in line, even if he didn't want anything.
“I’m heading out for a day in the park.” you told him, moving the wax paper covered sandwiches into a small wicker basket, along with some fruit and cheese, some water, and a bottle of wine. You could feel his eyes on you, “I’m over packing and have more than enough if you want to come with me?” you let your eyes flutter up from packing the basket to look at him. “I’ll leave you alone to write because I’m just going to spend the time working on some new portraits.” It was important to you that you set up expectations. There was no need for him to feel like he was going there to entertain you or vice versa.
“I’d love to go. You don’t mind?” he asked as you finished packing up the wicker basket. You shook your head no, letting him pick up the food you had just packaged and leading you outside, “What park did you want to go to? I can drive us there.” you told him what you were thinking, getting comfortable in the convertible.
When you had moved in with Slash you had forged fast friendships with his bandmates. Even though you weren’t at every show and didn't always go backstage you had gotten close to them in different ways. On Wednesday nights you hosted a dinner party where you made them all come by so you had an excuse to cook for them. When someone had a ripped piece of clothing at a show you’d quietly take out your sewing kit, stitching patches in jeans and repairing favorite band shirts. You liked being around them all because of how animated everyone was; they were so easy to draw. You had a whole sketchbook of black and white images from the band. Your favorite subjects were Slash and Axl, mainly because they were the two you were around the most and had the most flexibility when it came to moods.
Axl had grown close to you, drawn into the caring nature you had. It was hard for him to understand that someone would do things for him without expecting anything in return. The first time that you had been out drinking with them and insisted Axl came home with you so you knew he was safe he had thought was a come on. When you helped him drink water and gave him aspirin before tucking him into bed he was shocked. Even more shocking was waking up to find his clothes washed and folded on the guest room chair and you carrying in a breakfast tray of freshly made foods. That’s just how you showed you cared about your friends. Being the mother of the group and taking care of them helped you feel like you were contributing as a friend.
Spreading out the blanket under the Weeping Willow tree. You motioned for Axl to sit as you toed off your sandals and moved to sit down. Digging through your bag you set out your sketch pad and pencils. You could see Axl out of the corner of your eye. He didn’t seem to know what to do. You pulled him down to the blanket, settling him so he could rest his back against the tree. You pulled off his shoes and socks and handed him his notebook as you went about unpacking your picnic so he could pick at food if he wanted to.
With him settled in the shade you laid down, belly first in the sun. Picking up your pencil you scanned the park until you found an older man feeding the pigeons. Your eyes followed his movements for a few minutes before you started your sketch. The feeling of the warm sun on the back of your thighs as you twirled the pencil in your hand, capturing all the features of the man.
As you drew you could feel Axl’s eyes on you. At first it was just light glances every few minutes and then it turned to heavy long looks where his eyes were watching you. Ignoring the way his stares made you blush, chalking up the pinkness in your cheeks as just sun exposure.
A hand slid over your calf, over the back of your thighs before going over your dress and laying on the flat of your back. You turned your face upward looking at Axl watching you. His eyes flickering from your art up to your face. There was a pause, curiosity and interest in what he was going to do next. Your heart is beating in your chest even though your body is frozen, wondering what he was up to.
“Do you want to take a break and eat? You’ve been working for a couple hours.” Looking past him you saw the sun had changed position in the sky and time had gotten away from you. Sitting up you handed out sandwiches, positioning yourself comfortably besides him in the shade of the tree.
Axl had been following you for most of the spring and now into summer. He's around all the time and often comes along for days like this. But you liked having him around. You thought that he needed the quiet comfortable silence between the pair of you; so much of his life was filled with noise.
“Y/N, do you like this?” He asked, peeling off the crust to his sandwich. The action seemed to be more of a need to keep his hands busy instead of a dislike for the bed.
“Do I like this? Picnics in the park?” You didn’t know exactly what he meant. Axl sometimes seemed to talk in riddles not wanting to fully play all of his cards.
“Being with me.” He didn’t look up to meet your eyes at this, almost embarrassed to be talking about it. You weren’t like Axl. There was no need to talk in riddles or have him guessing how you felt.
“Of course I like having you around, Axl. It’s nice to be able to spend time with someone I like.” He looked up, almost surprised that someone would like to be around him. “I’ve had a crush on you for a few months and it’s nice to get to know you more and find more reasons to like you.” You didn’t feel nervous telling him this. It actually felt like a relief to get it off your chest.
He put down his sandwich, wiping crumbs off on his shirt and looking at his hands to make sure that they were clean. Before you could figure out what he was going to do he had a hand in your hair, tugging you closer to him in a soft kiss. For months you had been thinking about what it would be like to kiss him on one of your lazy afternoons together and now it was happening.
Instead of letting him pull away and think about what he had just done you slid onto his lap, letting your hands wrap around him. His free hand was on your back holding you close as the pair of you made out like teenagers under the shade of the willow tree.
Finally, the pair of you pulled away, swollen plush lips and wild curious eyes watching each other. This new change between the pair of you sparkling like wonder between the pair of you. Axl was playing with a piece of your hair, wrapping the brown lock around his finger like he had been wanting to do for months.
“Does this mean we can finally start dating?” You asked, watching the way he smirked at this question. “Because I don’t know how many more times you can just casually show up without Slash catching on. And I don’t know how many more picnics I can plan without touching you.” You admitted, his lips were on your chin and up your jaw.
“Mhhh, I’ve been waiting for this for so long and now I can have you all to myself.” His voice whispered huskily to you kissing your earlobe. He pulled away to look at you again. “You have to tell Slash.” He said, making you laugh as you rolled your eyes. If that’s what it would take to have Axl you didn’t mind telling your best friend about the relationship.
“You take care of me and I’ll take care of everything else, babe.” You promised, meaning it. This was everything that you had wanted for months and now you were getting it. The man that you had started falling for was yours. It had only taken months worth of picnics to get him.
Edge of Seventeen Chapter 1 (Izzy x OFC)
Tumblr media
Title: Edge of Seventeen
Summary:  When the boy Karen Williamson loved left home when she was seventeen, she figured it was just a childhood crush. She had her own plans to get out of Indiana. But when those plans fell through and now she’s trapped in Lafayette with a degree that’s getting her nowhere. That is, until Jeffrey Isbell came home.
Warnings: Language for now
AN:  This is just something I'm playing around with. I'm not sure how much I'll do on it, or if anyone will even like it. Thanks to @callme-kaz2y5-baby for the help!
The alarm clock was blaring. The room was still dark, and not due to the curtains Karen used to cover her small window. It was November in Indiana, and the sun didn’t carry the same amount of shine that it did in July. Well, that and it was also 5:30 in the morning. Karen groaned as she ran a hand down her face. It was Saturday. She didn’t really want to get her ass out of bed, but this was her Saturday to open the library and stay until at least noon, and she did have a lot of things to do after she got off work.
And if she was going to actually make it there, she had to get up and get in the shower now. Groaning, she finally pulled herself out of bed, letting the coffee start up while she got in the shower. After waking herself up with that, she got out, smelling the coffee and smiling. If someone would’ve told her ten years or so ago that coffee would be her blood, she would’ve laughed at them.
She made her first cup and popped some toast in the toaster. As she waited on the toast, she started to figure out something to do with her hair, deciding after fussing with it for longer than she felt necessary, that she was just going to run a brush through it and call it a day. The rest of her routine flew by; eat her toast, get dressed, put on some quick makeup, and water her plants before she headed out the door.
Six years of college left her driving a 1987 Firebird with a few too many miles, driving around a town she had always vowed to get out of but never quite made it.
“You’re listening to the Bob & Tom Show,” Karen was greeted as she turned on the car. “We’re getting some word from the Guns n’ Roses camp. It seems that it was announced that original guitarist Izzy Stradlin has had enough of Axl Rose and called it quits.”
Karen froze as she got ready to put her car in gear. She had to have misheard it.
“Rumors are swirling that Mr. Stradlin is returning to his hometown for a big project, but the fact that he had the balls to tell off Rose is astounding to me.” There was laughter and some jokes thrown around before they started playing a Guns n’ Roses songs in honor of the great hero, Izzy Stradlin.
Karen headed to work at the Lafayette Public Library. Kids from Purdue would be there, doing some studying off of campus or the ones that lived off campus would be there at least. But her mind kept drifting as she headed the ten minutes to her job.
Izzy had finally quit. She had been following the band ever since Jeffrey left Indiana. The night after he graduated with a D average, which honestly was thanks more to Karen and less to that fucking Bill Bailey. She gave him his graduation present with a smile on her face. He handed her a mixtape, kissed her, then left her behind.
She still had that mixtape somewhere at home. No matter how many boyfriends she had had in the eleven years since her last kiss with Jeffrey Isbell, she couldn’t throw it away. She’d bring it out once in a while when she missed him, but then she’d remember that he probably didn’t remember her, especially after all these years.
She pulled into her spot and opened up the library. She went through her morning routine as she waited for her assistant to show up. Empty the drop box, check them in, put them on the cart to reshelf, all the boring things that came with her job. It seemed like it was the same thing everyday that she was the in charge librarian. She broke up her routine by going to see a movies about once a week, and sometimes she’d splurge and head to Indy for a concert, but that wasn’t a common occurrence. She had accepted a long time ago that she wasn’t going to have the glamorous, rock star life that her friends had gotten when they broke free from the cornfields.
After the afternoon girl took over, Karen went to gather up the things that she had on her list. She drove towards the other side of town, where the older homes were. She smiled as she pulled into a driveway that she knew very well. Gathering up the couple books and VHS that were on her list, she knocked.
“Come in!” A woman inside called out. Karen made her way in to see Linda Isbell sitting on the couch, crocheting and watching a game show. Linda’s eyes brightened and she smiled as Karen made her way in. “Oh Karen, sweetie! How are you?”
“I’m good mama Isbell,” She kissed Linda’s cheek. “The book you wanted came in. And I got you An Officer and a Gentleman.” She sat the handful of things on her coffee table. There was a yapping noise then as Linda’s little dog, Astair, came running towards Karen. “Hey there little guy.”
“He loves when you come over,” Linda smiled at her. “He likes the car rides and walks.”
“I love those too, don’t I baby boy,” She scratched his ears and played with him for a minute. “I’ll get your grocery list after I walk him, okay?”
“Oh honey, you don’t have to do that,” Linda told her. “One of my boys went shopping for me earlier in the week. I’m set for now.”
“Oh really?” Karen asked. She figured that Joe had come to see his mom, finally. Because she figured if it was Jeff, Linda would’ve told her. But then again, she knew about how Karen’s heart had been broken by her eldest, and she was pretty good about not talking about him too much to her.
“Well, then Astaire and I will go on an extra long walk. Maybe a nice drive too,” Karen smiled as the dog yapped and ran around in circles. Linda laughed.
“He loves you Karen,” She told her, making Karen’s heart swell. After talking for a few more minutes, Karen got Astaire’s leash and took him for a nice, long walk around Lafayette. The dog was so happy, especially when she parked her car and they walked out through some of the abandoned fields around and he could chase the birds that were still there.
She looked out across the fields and noticed the large house that set among them had a moving truck in front of it. No one had lived there in years, and Jeff and Bill used to argue about who was going to live there someday. Karen highly doubted if Izzy ever moved back to Indiana, that he would come back to Lafayette, not when the Carmel area was flourishing, and attracted more of the wealthy that lived in Indiana.
“Come on Astaire, let’s go home,” Karen told the dog. He barked once more at a bird before running off with her.
****
Izzy stepped out on the front porch of his new home. Back in the day, when he was dreaming of being a huge star, him and Axl would argue over who was going to live in this house. He honestly never thought it would be up for sale, and he wasn’t sure what compelled him to buy it when it went on the market. Maybe it was a chance to say fuck you to Axl. Izzy adjusted the hat on his head as he looked at all the space he had. He was honestly glad to be back home, and he felt like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders.
He was pulled from his thoughts then by a dog barking. Looking out across the fields, he watched as a small dog chased some birds and a woman stood there, watching. She looked over his way, and even though Izzy couldn’t make out her face, he felt something as he watched her. They didn’t stay much longer, but Izzy couldn’t stop watching as she left.
“Maybe I’ll see her around,” Izzy grumbled to himself before he headed inside to pay the movers so he could get settled into his new home.
Cause time wasn't in our favour.
cw: canon character death, Tenjiku vs Toman arc, 'Nova' being used as nickname, lots and lots of grammatical error bcs I hate grammar, not proofread, angst, it's just pain i swear but i'll compensate with fluff memories before giving back angst.
Kurokawa Izana x f!reader
Writer's note: Please blame it on my sleep deprived brain it got addicted to the song and STILL haven't stop listening to it even after this songfic got posted. I listened to the song, cried a lot, then my brain went poof "What about Izana?" and I cried again but my brain got flooded with scenes I NEED to write down. I am sorry for the mental damage I might cause. Please listen to the song while reading this!
Tagging my Izana simping partner here @noekoi and also my Kiki pie @p-antomime bcs I want them both to know they inspired me to write a lot, for being the cool authors I aspire to be some day, and ofc, for being the firsts to see the fics as it is. I love you guys.
"𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘧𝘶𝘯𝘯𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘐'𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶, 𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦, 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘴"
Bile rose in your throat once your heard the gun shots, praying to whatever God above for it to not be what you think it is.
But you saw his red clad body dropped onto the ground, confirming your worst fear.
"IZANA!" you shouted, running to your lover.
The commotion behind you faded into background noise when your focus zeroed to the boy in front of you, the boy who stole your heart and devotion.
"Nova. I'm sorry. My body just moved on its own." you just shooked your head, tears streaming down your face as Izana tried to explain. "No. Everything's alright. I- I'll call the ambulance right now! You'll be fine 'zana. You're going to be fine." you supplied, trying to convince yourself more than the other. Hands shaking trying to get a grip on your phone but it slipped out of your hands causing you to curse as you tried to get it back and dial the emergency number.
Quivering hand grasped your own.
"Hey Nova." you hummed to him not trusting your voice. "The moon is beautiful right?" Izana asked, smile on his face- fuck that goddamn smile of his, one that he would never ever showed anyone else.
"Y- yes, I wish I could watch it with you for good." you choked out a response, with sobs leaving your mouth. The hand that was holding yours dropped, along with the beat of its owner's heart, stilling into the silence. And you, barely hearing "I'm coming too Izana.", from Kakucho, sat still as realisation that he's gone, him the love of your life is gone for good trying to crawl itself into your brain. You came to your senses once you felt hands all over your body, urging you to stand up and leave the place as sirens filled the area.
"NO LEAVE ME ALONE! HE'S NOT DEAD! HE'S JUST SLEEPING! LET GO OF ME, MANJIRO!"
"𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘬𝘦 𝘮𝘺 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶'𝘥 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘥𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘐 𝘨𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘸𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘴𝘰 𝘧𝘢𝘳"
The funeral passed by like fever dream. Toman members came by despite the fact that the funeral was one of their enemy's, murmuring condolences and back pats to you.
"Y/N, I know this might not be the right timing but please know that although we never talk much, you can come to me. Please do not hide yourself away." the owner of the voice, the boy Izana Kurokawa hated the most, snapped you out of your trance.
You didn't reply, only lifting your head up and meet Manjiro Sano's gaze, causing him to flinch at the empty look inside your eyes before casting your gaze back at the black frame in front you, the picture inside it, snow haired boy with wisteria coloured eyes taunting you with the his smile, frozen in time.
"The world is cruel" Izana once told you. You never get what he was implying but now you do.
"The world is cruel, but in this cruel world it I FOUND YOU, my light and I wouldn't have it any other way."
"𝘓𝘦𝘵 𝘮𝘦 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘵'𝘴 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬. 𝘔𝘢𝘺𝘣𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘦, 𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘧𝘶𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘪𝘵 𝘪𝘴𝘯'𝘵 𝘵𝘰𝘰 𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦."
Dating Izana was never an easy task. He was so used to deep dark isolation and in his muddled mind, he could never make sense on to why you stick with him. On top of that, your safety always had been his top concern, the running doubts inside his mind if he's the best for you.
He never understands you, who's a sucker for romance, unrealistic happy endings, would always stick with him, the tyrant king of Yokohama. But he knows that you understands him, as much as he's perturbed by the fact. He knows that you understands how much he's scared to be abandoned again, he knows you will always welcomed him back with open arms, your understanding of his hesitations on relationships were the ones that made him depend on you, because you will never leave him, you promised.
"Why are we watching Disney princess movie again?" Izana sighed exaggeratingly throwing his hands up in the air. "They have the best romance!" you argued back. "Yeah but it's always ended happy ending. It's not like real life would be that way." Izana groaned. "BUT STILL!! It's a royal love story for you my king and even if it's all end in happy ending, it taught us 'bout love and how kingdom works! You should know that by now Izana."
"A kingdom isn't ruled by one, BUT TWO people."
"𝘓𝘶𝘤𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘐'𝘮 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵. 𝘐'𝘮 𝘖𝘒 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘴 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘢𝘳, 𝘐'𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦. 𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘧 𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘦𝘯 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴"
Fights with him were always the worse. It will end with him disappearing for days, convinced you're just going to abandon him like everyone does at the end.
You proved him wrong every single damn time.
Your patience with him always caught him off guard. You showed him the love he never thought he'll ever experienced, gave him the home he can find shelter in.
In you, he learned what was unconditional love was all about.
"Y/N, can I talk to you for a second?" Kakucho said, gaining your attention. You faced him to show that he had your full attention. "How did you do it?" you blinked, not understanding the question. "What Kakucho trying to said is that, how did you stay with Izana still? If I were you, I would had given up trying to understand him.", Ran, who was beside Kakucho the whole time explained what Kakucho's question was.
The other executives trying to hide the fact that they're listening in but you can see their ears perking up. You chuckled at them before giving them the answer. "I actually find it funny that people always thought 'unconditional love' means unconditional tolerance towards your partner. Izana, as much as he would always disappear after our fights, I know he would come back. I might not immediately search for him, he needed the space, I'm giving him the space and boundaries he needed, as much as he think he didn't need it."
Unknown to you, Izana was right at the door behind you, listening in and signaling his executives to not mention his appearance. "Izana and I talked 'bout unconditional love before. You can love someone to the moon and back but still have boundaries. That's what I taught Izana."
"Boundaries DON'T DIMINISH the amount of love you have in your heart."
"𝘊𝘢𝘯'𝘵 𝘧𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘪𝘯 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦, 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘐 𝘧𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘦, 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘢𝘮 𝘐 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘰𝘯? 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘰𝘰 𝘧𝘢𝘳 𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘦?"
The smell of him dominates the apartment you both shared as a home. Everywhere you glance, you see him. His untouched clothes in the wardrobe. Everything reminds you of him. The black sky filled with stars at night taunted you as the memories of both of your nightly sky watching on top of the apartment roof flooded back into your brain.
"Nova." you, who was laying down on Izana's lap, looked up to him, confusion and questions swirling inside in your eyes at the foreign name that came out of his mouth. "I'm gonna call you Nova as your nickname." Izana added. "Oh? Why is that?" you asked him curiously, sitting up and your eyes met as you can see the affection that ran deeply for you shone in his eyes.
He chucked and raised a hand to your face, tucking your loose strands of hair back behind your ear. "Nova means new star that came suddenly, exploding and influence the other. In a way, it reminds me of you. You came in barging into my life, shining like a star."
"Unlike the stars that died out quickly, you remained and SHOW ME THE LIGHT I've never seen before."
"𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘸𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘨𝘰 𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘺, 𝘐 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘱𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘐 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘐 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘦."
The whisper on the streets of the fallen king. The pity glances. The story of a tyrant king. They don't know Izana like you do. They didn't see your late night dancing with him. They never hear his naggings of your unruly sleeping schedule. They would never see how both of you laughing and helping each other cooking in the kitchen.
"Shit!" you cursed as you accidentally sliced your finger by accident. "Nova? Love, what happened?", Izana who was taking a shower immediately rushed into the kitchen once he heard you cursed, bad scenarios running through his head. You, who was running your bloody finger through the water, spun around to look at Izana. "The knife slipped out of my grip." you supplied, still hissing from the sting.
"Awww, poor baby, come give me your finger." Izana teased as he took your finger in his palm to take a look at it before plopping it inside his mouth. "I-Izana!" you stuttered at his action before trying to push him away. Doing so, you just realised how he's only wearing a towel with water still dripping from his hair, fresh out of bath.
"Don't move love, I'm trying to help you right now. I'm taking the emergency box don't move." Izana chuckled before moving away and going to the living room where said emergency box is located. "Oh, did I mention your nose is bleeding too?" blood rushed towards your face as you immediately put your finger underneath your nose, hearing Izana's roaring laughter.
"What kind of King am I to let HIS QUEEN got hurt?"
"𝘊𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘴𝘯'𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘶𝘳. 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴𝘯'𝘵 '𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥𝘣𝘺𝘦', 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘺 '𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳'"
Placing the white baby's breaths on his grave, you whispered "Even if it takes ten years, this isn't "goodbye", this is simply "see you later".
OMG YOUADE A SCENARIOS POST OK OK SO CAN I REQUEST ONE WITH BARBATOS?? SORRY IK YOU JUST ANSWERED MY REQUEST BUT I LOVED IT SO MUCH AND I'M EXCITED LMAO,
can i request barbatos and mc on an amusement park date where barbatos asks mc to formally go steady with him at the top of the Ferris wheel because he's heard that's a common way to ask on the human world? And bonus for rollercoaster and drop tower screaming reactions and him laughing at the funny pictures that come out of them lol
OMG YES OFC GLADLY !!
a/n: okay a hc that has been floating around in my head is that barbatos is secretly chaotic so imma vent that hc here LOL
tags: chaotic barbatos x gn!mc, nothing really but if i missed anything or any tags need to be added lmk !!
--
How could you say no when Barbatos asked you to go to an amusement park with such an excited and hopeful look on his face ? The answer is, you couldn't. You had to say yes. It was also a very good excuse to spend time with your crush.
Start of the date hangout was going very well. So far you had gotten some fair food and played some stall games. Barbatos won you a gigantic fluffy bear the two of you named Parsnip. Parsnip was totally not going to be on your bed every night as you cuddled it thinking about Barbatos.
"MC, would you like to ride the ferris wheel with me?" Barbatos asks as the two of you walk away from the ice cream stand. You light up.
"Yes!! Let's go get in line!!" You link your arm that is holding Parsnip with Barbatos'. You were so focused on finding the ferris wheel that you didn't see the blush on Barbatos' face. Of which he's very relieved about.
The line wasn't that long, in fact it was rather short. The two of you got into a teal cart, of which you commented on how it matched Barbatos' hair. The amount of times you have made this man blush today.
The cart stopped at the top, giving the two of you a view of the whole carnival. It was a breathtaking sight, and even more so because Barbatos was with you.
You locked eyes.
"MC.. I want to ask you something." Yet another blush rose on his face.
Your heartbeat quickened.
"Anything," You answered a little too quickly.
Barbatos put his hand over yours.
"Will you be my partner? I've had feelings for you for quite some time and-"
You cut Barbatos off by lunging forward and tackling him into a hug.
"Yes, yes, yes, a million times yes. I like you too," You mumbled into his shoulder. Barbatos hugged you back with a big grin on his face.
The rest of the date went swimmingly. You went on a drop ride that took pictures as you fell down the slope. You looked mortally terrified, while Barbatos on the other hand smiled at the camera with a thumbs up. When you got your pictures from the ride, the two of you cackled maniacally at how dumb you and the other people on the ride looked. You definitely got a few weird stares from how hard you were laughing.
You then went to a water gun station and you beat Barbatos. He totally let you win. You shared a cotton candy and ended the date by petting the sheep at the farm stand.
When you got back to the devildom, Barbatos walked you to your room and kissed you on the cheek a goodnight.
He definitely didn't go back to Diavolo and excitedly tell him about your date together.
a/n pt 2: I LIVE FOR CHAOTIC BARBATOS JSHDHJS anyways have a good day🥺🥺
Chapter 8
Tumblr media
 “Alright, let’s get in position before daylight hits.” Clay looked around as they walked down the narrow alleyway.
“Roger that.” Stella nodded as Cougar replied with a tip of his hat to show he had heard, Pooch also inclining his head.
The four of them stopped by a door to their right, Stella pulling the tool from her utility belt which was fastened around the waistband of her camo pants. She picked the lock in under thirty seconds, a simple job that required a little bit of jiggling, twisting and a good jerk with the torque wrench Cougar was holding to defeat.
“Not particularly high security considering this was a bank.” She mumbled as behind her Cougar chuckled.
Inside it was pitch black, dust rose in clouds, shimmering in the moonlight, which was streaking through the dirty arched windows. Both of them flipped out their flashlights, quickly scanning the room for any sign that someone had been here recently, but there was none.
They crossed quietly and quickly through the main atrium of the old building, taking care to keep to the shadows. The old bank was completely deserted bar a few desks and old telephones which sported thick layers of dust as they moved through, heading for the spiral staircase at the far side.
“We’re clear.” Pooch said as he looked up to the top of the staircase. “This place hasn’t been accessed for years.”
“Lima Six, anything to report?” Clay spoke into his radio and a moment later Jensen replied.
“Nothing on the comms, they’re talking about moving Kilo One out at the time we suspected but it could be a rouse to make sure…but Lima Two knows the code-word should they decide to go early.”
“Okay, as soon as you get movement let me know.”
“Ten-four, One.”
“Okay, let’s get set up.” Clay instructed and the team nodded in agreement as they all set about, placing various pieces of equipment around the place exactly where it needed to be for when their target and his security detail, in which Roque had embedded himself undercover, came storming into the pre-designated building, seeking refuge from an attack outside.
It took them roughly an hour to set up completely, things having to be precisely as Pooch directed. Eventually, when he was happy, they climbed the staircase at the back of the room. Four sets of eyes swept the square below. It was deserted, as was to be expected at such an early hour in the morning.
Stella scanned the buildings, nevertheless, her eyes sharp, looking for any sign of movement around the whitewashed and pebble-dashed sandstone that they had grown accustomed to seeing over the last three weeks or so they’d been in Nabatieh, Lebanon.
“So Khalil should be coming from there.” Pooch raised his arm and pointed to a small road to the right. “The plan is we lay down some fire by his bodyguards as he approaches the podium, and force them to take shelter in the bank, as led nicely by Roque.”
“Why do we want this guy alive so badly, anyway?” Stella mumbled to herself. “If he’s such a bastard, why don’t we just kill him? He’s a terrorist leader.”
“The Lebanese Freedom Party ain’t deemed terrorists all over the world.” Pooch grinned and Stella snorted. “Russia views them as a legitimate socio-political force.”
“Russia basically executes people for being gay” She scoffed. “Forgive me for not taking their viewpoint here as the one to set my moral compass against.” She sighed. “Cougs could take one shot, straight in the head. Boom. Job done.”
Cougar chuckled as he unloaded his rifle and stand, looking up at Clay. “She’s not wrong, Boss.”
“Whilst wiping that particular shit stain off the face of the earth might be appealing, they ain’t our orders. We apprehend alive.” Clay spoke, matter of factly and Stella rolled her eyes.
“Whatever helps us sleep at night, huh?”
****
Stella had to hand it to their Intel department. The start of the hit went like clockwork. At bang on the designated time, Jensen radioed in to say that they were moving out and sure enough, twenty minutes or so later he accounted the SUVs and jeeps had left the compound. He joined the rest of the team little over half an hour later, leaving the dirty van he had been driving hidden down a dark alleyway at the back of the bank, behind the one the rest of the team had arrived in and headed into the dank building, wrinkling his nose at the musty air as he walked in.
“Hey.” He greeted Stella, his hand falling to her shoulder as she sat in the back, her attention focussed through the window, a pair of binoculars raised to her eyes.
“Hey.” She whispered back, her gaze flicking to him quickly, flashing him a smile as she turned back to her spotting.
“So I picked up on their coms that they think Khalil’s personal security have done a sweep of the area.” Jensen looked at them. “Roques done his job nicely. They should be entering the square from the South West corner.”
 “ETA?” Clay turned to him.
“Less than five minutes.”
“Excellent.” Clay nodded. “So far so good.”
The next five minutes or so passed in silence, all five of the Officers in the room observing the roads leading to the square just in case. Even though their intel was solid, it was drilled into them that they should never rely on it completely.
“Boss,” Cougar spoke suddenly, his shoulders squaring back, “target approaching. Roughly two miles out.”
“Fuck, I got something coming too from the North East.” Pooch groaned.
“What?” Clay demanded.
“I dunno but it looks suspiciously like an ARV.”
“An ARV?” Clay frowned.
“Yup. They’ve stopped. Six hundred yards out.”
“What do you mean they’ve stopped?” Jensen demanded, snatching the binoculars off him.
“What the fuck do you think I mean?” Pooch replied. “They’re not moving.”
“What the fuck is going on?” Stella growled and Clay took the binoculars off Jensen. She watched as Clay took a look before he sighed heavily and dropped his head.
“It’s the Lebanese Special Service. I recognise one of them from a mission a while back.”
“What the hell are they doing here?”
 “I should have seen this coming.” Clay bit his lip. “They’re going to hit him at the rally. The false trail we leaked to them means they think we’re moving on him as he makes his way out of town and up to Beirut. They’re going to get in first.”
“It’s a double cross.” Stella looked at Jake and Pooch as she spoke, the pair of them exchanging a look before all eyes bar Cougar’s, which remained firmly fixed on his target, turned to Clay. “Why?”
“Death to the West and all that.” Clay sniffed. “They’re gonna take him out and try and use USA involvement as cover.”
“Don’t they realise that won’t work?” Stella shook her head. “We’re Black Ops, the thick fuckers. As soon as there’s so much of a sniff that shit is going west, the CIA will leave us high and dry, denying they had anything to do with it.”
“So what’s Plan B?” Pooch turned to look Clay. “I’m hoping you got a Plan B, because Plan A is going to shit.”
“Kilo one still approaching.” Cougar stated.
“You got anything special in your arsenal?” Clay turned to Pooch. “As in blow up an ARV special?”
Pooch blinked. “Yeah, the RPG but…”
“Go get it.” Clay instructed.
Pooch didn’t hesitate, he shot off down the stairs and Stella watched him go before she turned her attention back to the large square, which was roughly the size of two football pitches, busy with people bustling about their everyday business.
“If we get this wrong, the whole square is gonna be caught up in a fucking gun fight,” Stella spoke, her eyes falling on a group of kids in the middle.
There was a pause before Clay spoke again. “Khalil is our main objective; we just need to keep collateral to a minimum.”
Collateral. Stella hated that fucking word. She swallowed and looked at Jensen who gave her a small smile, which she returned before she glanced back at the square.
“One mile out.” Cougar informed.
“Okay,” Clay spoke, clapping his hands together. “Pooch, as soon as the LSS move, you shoot that RPG straight at the fuckers.”
“Gladly.” He nodded, “But, chances are if they’ve got an ARV out there then they’ll already have agents on the ground.”
“It doesn’t matter, all we gotta do is get a shot off first.  Once that initial gun crack is heard, Khalil’s security outfit are gonna herd him in here anyway. And hopefully, when the LSS get note their vehicle has gone bang it’ll draw them into blowing cover somehow.” Clay nodded. “At least then we’ll be able to spot where they are.” He took a deep breath. “Cougar, keep watch on Khalil. As soon as you get a viable opportunity to lay down the fire, take it.”
Cougs, who hadn’t taken his eye away from the target sight of his gun simply tipped the brim of his hat again with his finger to show he had understood and Clay turned to the other three of them as they waited instructions.
 “What about Roque?” Stella asked. “He doesn’t know about the LSS.”
“He’ll roll with the punches.” Clay rubbed his hand over his chin. “Everyone clear?”
“Clear as, boss, it’s a shoot-out.” Jensen snorted, nodding his head as he gave a chuckle. “Good times.”
“If this is your idea of a good time then I’d hate to see a bad one.” Pooch grumbled and Stella gave a chuckle.
“Hey, Poochy, I just like to see the positive in all aspects of life.” Jensen grinned, holding his hands out to the side, palms up. “You’re just grumpy because Jolene’s finally managed to…ouch!” Jensen gave a yelp as Stella punched him hard on the arm. “What was that for, babe?”
Stella shot him a look which instantly shut him up. Pooch had confided in her, Cougar and Jensen no less than two days ago that Jolene was four months pregnant, but he didn’t want to tell Clay or Roque for reasons that he was keeping to himself, as per his prerogative, she supposed. It had made her and Jensen snort a little, as when Aubrey had found out she was pregnant roughly five months or so ago, the entire world had known pretty much before the pee was dry on the test stick. Jensen’s eyes widened as he realised exactly what he’d been about to say and he grimaced, before turning to Pooch, giving him an apologetic look.
“Kilo One is approaching the square.” Cougar spoke, and they all turned their attention to him, stepping forward to the window, Clay observing their surroundings with the binoculars.
“Okay, focus up Losers.” Clay hushed them all, gesturing to Pooch. “Get ready with that RPG”
Pooch shot Jensen one final filthy glare before he stepped forward, resting the grenade launcher on his shoulder.
“Arty, Jensen, in position.” Clay instructed. “Coms on, code names only.”
They both nodded, Stel picking up a device that had been in Pooch’s big bag of tricks, and made their way back to the spiral staircase.
And then, it all happened at once. Clay gave the order to fire and both Pooch and Cougar took their shots at the same time. The popping of guns, sounds of screaming and yelling and a rather large explosion followed by Pooch’s loud chuckles of glee hit their ears and Jensen looked at Stella as they waited at the top of the stairs.
“I really shouldn’t enjoy this as much as I should.” He grinned, and Stella snorted as suddenly the room below them was full of voices, once of which the recognised instantly as Roque. From their extensive planning, Sella knew that they would likely hustle into the room in a tight cordon, with Khalil in the middle and head to the most secure part of the building, the vault. They had no idea how many of the guard had made it into the building with Khalid, but essentially it didn’t matter. The Losers were one step ahead.
As soon as the group made their way towards the main part of the atrium, through the open double doors which led through the cashier area, Jensen grinned at Stella.
“Hit it, babe!”
Stella smirked as she pushed the button on the device she held in her hand. The large electromagnets that had been placed on the locks snapped into place, firing the four inch thick steel bolts into their slots, securing them tightly, ensuring no one could get out, and no one else could get in. Yells of warnings rang out about the place as the guards instantly wheeled round, their guns raised and Roque’s eyes flickered upwards to where they were hidden on the veranda above. Jensen raised his right hand, his index and middle finger extended and he waved them across his face, indicating that their next move was about to go down. Roque made no sign he’d seen them, bar a quick double-blink.
“I’m sorry, pal.” Jensen grimaced a little as he ducked down and lifted a heavy square box off the floor, flipping the plastic cover up, jamming his thumb onto the red button. “Lima Two is about to deploy, please return to your seats and cover your ears.” He spoke into his coms, giving the rest of the team a warning. As soon as the device beeped to say it was charged, Jensen launched it over the side of the railing where it fell onto the floor below. As soon as it left his hands, he and Stella ducked down, their fingers jammed in their ears, eyes scrunched shut as the device activated.
Referred to merely by Pooch as the S-Fud- ‘Sensory Fuck-Up Device’, the item had been developed by the boffins in the CIA lab to create complete optical and aural disorientation by using ultra violet and bright white lights and a loud, high pitched sound and sonic wave. Even with his eyes screwed shut, the flash of light still bounced off all the surfaces surrounding Jensen, and the hands which were clamped over his ears might have dimmed the majority of the loud wailing siren, which lasted no more than two seconds, but the combination was still enough to leave him feeling slightly woozy as he stood to his feet, blinking furiously, his eyes feeling like he’d stared straight at the sun, his eardrums ringing as if he’d spent hours in a nightclub with music thumping in his ears. Besides him, Stella staggered to her feet and shook her head, pressing the heel of her palm to the space between her eyes. But they had no time to waste. Jake gently shook her shoulder and she nodded to show him she was okay. Together they made their way down the stairs as quickly as they could.
The S-Fud had done its job, all the men were incapacitated to some extent. As Stella’s eyes glanced around she quickly counted six men in total. Three, one of whom was Khalil, were completely unconscious, face down on the floor. Two more, including Roque, were writhing in pain, hand clutched over their ears, and one was attempting to stagger to his feet. In a flash, Stella had nailed him with a kick to the face, and he fell backwards with a thud, his nose shattering as her heel smashed straight into the bridge.
“Did you see that?” Jensen turned to the other three men who had joined them, all looking around the room. “My girl, she’s a bad ass chick.”
“Can you concentrate on the mission in hand for once and not your dick?” Pooch shook his head as Cougar hit the moving guard with the butt of his rifle, knocking him out.
“Your momma concentrated on my dick last night.” Jensen shot back and Pooch groaned.
“Seriously? Momma jokes, now?”
“Shut up.” Stella nudged Jake harshly with her elbow as she walked past, following Clay as they stepped over the unconscious guards, heading towards Roque as he groaned and lay curled up in the foetal position. Clay knelt down and reached out, loosening his tie and the top button of his dress shirt before patting him on the shoulder, as Stella did the same to their target.
“Okay, lets move.” Clay looked up. “Jensen, Pooch, you take Roque. I’ll get Khalil. Cougs, Arty, give us cover to the vehicle.”
The team all nodded, Jensen and Pooch stepping forward, each seizing Roque under his arms. They managed to get him to his feet, each supporting him, their arms round his back as his arms slumped over their shoulders. His feet staggered on the floor as he made an attempt to talk.
“We got you, buddy.” Jensen said softly. “You’ll be alright, just feel like you’ve got one hell of a hangover for a few hours.”
Meanwhile Clay had managed to hoist Khalil to his feet with Cougar’s help, the man a complete dead weight, which he allowed to slump against his right shoulder. With an almighty heave he ducked and then stood, using his legs to rise up fully, Khalil slung over him in a fireman’s lift, his arms dangling freely down Clay’s back.
Without another word, the team moved as quickly as they could to the dead-bolted doors where Stella reached into her pocket with one hand, whipping her pistol out with the other. She clicked the device, which unlocked the glass doors and they made their way across the atrium, the chaotic noises from outside growing louder as they approached the back door to the bank they’d used to enter. Stella flattened herself against one side of the wall to the right of the door as Cougar took aim with his rifle. He looked at her and nodded, and in a flash she reached out and yanked it open, Cougar darting through, rifle held in front of him.
“Clear.” He spoke and Stella moved to allow the rest of the team to step out into the alleyway, taking up the rear.
She spotted the man hiding in a doorway two down before Cougs even had chance to shout a warning. In a flash she fired pistol twice. The first shot hit the guy in the arm, causing him to drop his gun, the second in the knee and he fell to the floor, screaming in agony. Then came another, and another. As Stella and Cougar continued, Jensen, Pooch and Clay heaved their charges to the side of the van, ducking as shots rained down on them. Pooch wrenched open the door, and Jensen hopped into the back, hoisting Roque in as gently as he could, a sharp contrast to the way Clay simply slung Khalil unceremoniously into the back. As Pooch ran to the front and hopped into the driver side, Stella and Cougar both sprinted towards the van, flinging themselves in as the engine started. With a sharp tug, Clay pulled he door shut as Pooch started the engine.
Seconds later, the van roared back off up the alley, the crackle of gunfire from the square growing quieter and quieter as they put more distance between them and the danger.  Pooch drove them out onto the main road, towards the point, some six miles or so away, where they would ditch the van and hop into two separate SUVs and make their way to the agreed Ex-fil point at Saida Port roughly a half an hour or so drive away.
Stella closed her eyes, resting her head against the cool metal of the van, watching as Pooch and Jensen  hoisted Khalil into a sitting position, securing his wrists with flexi-restraints behind his back. Cougar was busy offering Roque some water, Stella pleased to see their teammate was finally starting to come round. She smiled as Jensen flopped down next to her, his arm looping round her shoulders as he pulled her to him for a soft kiss.
“I love working with you,” he grinned and she snorted, shaking her head as she chuckled.
“Yeah, we’re a regular nine-to-five couple, aint we?”
“Stel?” Jake called through the door of the bathroom of their temporary lodgings before he opened it and to be greeted by Stella led back in the bath, eyes closed. She turned her head to look at him. “I was gonna ask if you wanted head out with the guys for a beer and food but you look pretty comfortable.”
She pulled a face. “I’m feeling anti-social.” Jake laughed at her frank answer and smiled as she gave a small shrug. “Sorry, not sorry, but we spent four weeks in a hell hole motel and I’m extremely grateful Clay’s managed to get us holed up in a nice place and not the Officers’ Quarters on base so I intend to make the most of it.”
“Babes, we were both in the army.” He snorted. “Rocks for pillows and all that.”
“Yeah, well it’s been a while since I did that. What can I say? I’ve grown used to the finer things again.”
“Fair enough, I’ll let Clay know you hate them all and don’t want to socialise.” He teased.
“Jakey, we’re gonna be here for by my guess a week at least, plenty of time to go out sampling the finest bars the UK has to offer.” She shrugged, not bothered in the slightest by his teasing. “If you wanna go meet them, feel free. I’ll grab a take out. There were some leaflets pinned to the board in the kitchen.”
“Or…” Jake smirked, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively, “I stay here, because frankly, that bed looks really comfy and I kinda wanna test it. See how grossed out we can make Pooch.”
“Jerk.” Stella snorted.
“Well, he’s done nothing but complain since we got here about how he has to share this house with us and can’t go in with the others, so I wanna give him something to really complain about.”
“You’re such a little shit.” She laughed and Jake groaned.
“Don’t do that.”
“Do what? Laugh?”
“Yeah, it’s making your boobs wobble under the water, and that’s making me horny.”
“You’re always horny.”
“Hornier than usual.”
“Well, I can solve that problem.” She grinned and Jake smirked.
“Yeah?”
“Yeah, turn around and shut the door on your way out.”
“Ouch, Stells.” Jake slapped his hand over his heart. “That’s cold.”
“Hmmm,” She muttered, laying her head back and closing her eyes again. “If you’re getting in here you better hurry, or the water will be cold too.”
Jake grinned and in a flash, reached back to grab a fist full of his t-shirt behind the collar and pulled it over his head. As his hands flew to the button on his jeans Stella nodded to the door.
“You better lock that, I know you said you wanted to gross Pooch out but if he walks in on us he’ll be scared for life.”
“And?”
Stella merely arched her brow, “No locky, no fucky.”
With that Jake spun on his heel and flicked the lock, before he turned round and shoved his pants and boxers down in one full swoop and swung his leg over the side of the tub. Stella moved forward so he could settle behind her, his legs laying either side of hers. It was a tight squeeze, the tub in the two bedroomed terraced house wasn’t built to accommodate two but neither paid it any mind.
Stella took a deep breath, closed her eyes and leaned back, her head laying against Jake’s chest as his hands softly rubbed up and down her forearms, his lips pressing a kiss to her shoulder.
They were silent for a while, the pair of them simply contented to stay there for a moment, relishing the peace after a long and tedious mission and the chance to relax for an evening before the debriefs and analysis started the next day in the War Rooms of the RAF Base in Suffolk, England. Often, the aftermath of a mission was more hard-going than the action itself. They’d hash over the events, listen to the CIA operative justify some of the more morally ambiguous decisions made, no doubt the ramifications and political fall-outs, be informed about how the CIA were going to play it and then they’d have to submit written reports, which would be Classified at the highest levels and stored in the top secret vaults in Virginia.
It was part and parcel of being in a black-ops team. They knew the script, having read and played it many a times before. But it was draining and exhausting, one of the many reasons Stella was glad that the actual missions they ran, whilst they could last months at a time, were on the large few and far between.
“You okay?” Jake broke the silence and pressed his lips once more to the back of her shoulder and Stella nodded, tilting her head round so she could look at him.
“I spoke to Rey before.”
“Yeah, how is she?”
“She said she felt the baby move for the first time.” Stella beamed.
“Oh, that’s awesome.” Jake grinned back, “are they gonna find out what they’re having?”
Stella snorted, “dur. You know what she’s like. She’ll want to decorate and buy it blue or pink clothes, plus if it’s a boy she’s got time to mentally prepare seeing as all she wants is a little girl to treat like a doll.”
Jake laughed. “Is it wrong I kinda hope it is a boy?”
Stella grinned. “Nope, I was thinking the same. She’s asked me to be with her when it’s born.”
“I’m not surprised.” Jake wrinkled his nose. “Dick’s gonna be about as much use as a knife in a gun fight.”
“Knives can be very useful in a gun fight, if you know how to use them.”
“Oooh I love it when you talk dirty, babe.” Jensen smirked and dropped his head to kiss her softly. His right hand moved from its spot on her arm to stroking her hip, tracing a path down the outside of her thigh. His fingers softly traced shapes on her warm, wet skin just to the side of her knee before he moved his touch up her leg again then across to her abdomen. Stella sighed against his mouth, as her head lolled to the right. Jensen’s mouth moved, trailing a line down her neck, nipping at the hinge of her jaw.
He was growing hard against her, Stella could feel it, and the way his fingers were ghosting over her made her skin tingle and her body shiver. "Jake," she whimpered. "Yeah, baby?" His fingers found the tuft of curls and then her nub. "You gonna sing for me, Stells?" He encircled her clit with his fingertip and drew back up. "Let me play that pussy?" “Fuck...” she groaned, leaning further back into him, her body sagging into his. She loved his dirty talk, being so in control for most of the time, she enjoyed letting herself go when it came to this. “Feels good, Jakey.” "Yeah? You like it when I touch you, feel my fingers inside? Stretching you for my dick?" He dipped two fingers inside, his thumb able to press into her sensitive clit. "Jesus, fuck," Stella gasped as he moved into her. The thickness of his fingers felt like she was on fire and had her silently begging his foreplay wasn't long. "So fucking wet already, babe." Jake was enjoying the feel of her on his fingers. It'd been a long while since he'd felt all of her and he hid his desperation well behind dirty words and filthy ministrations. His mouth moved down her neck, teeth gently nipping at her skin as he went, lips curling into a smirk as he listened to her softly groaning. Her hips moving in time with his hand as his fingers curled inside her.  Water began to just teeter over the tubs edge but neither paid any mind. Stella's breathy pants bounced off of Jake's cheek as he watched himself finger fuck her. "I love it when you fuck my fingers, baby." "Oh God," Stella squeaked, for she was going to hit that edge and fall right over. The time between, the angst of their mission and Jake's mouth were nearing too much. "Jakey, please," she moaned. "Cum on my fingers, Stells, then I'm gonna fuck you, really...really... good." With each 'really' Jake barely rutted against Stella, just enough to tease her at what he wanted to do to her. He wanted to slide in, slow and deep, her body seated on top his, while he feasted on her nipples and neck. He wanted to be buried into her to the hilt and paint her walls with his seed. Stella came undone as her body quaked against his chest. With a breathy squeak she went rigid and her hand flew from the side of the tub, wrapping around is wrist as she came, her walls clamping around his fingers "Fuck, Stella, turn around baby, sit on my lap." She was as languid as the water around them, her body drowning in ecstasy as Jake helped her turn in the small space. His fully erect and throbbing cock stood at attention, his head just above the water’s surface. He guided Stella just where he wanted her and slowly dipped inside her still trembling walls. The sensation was more than Stella had bargained for and she moaned out loudly as she sank into him. "That's it baby, let them hear you" Jake bucked a bit into her, closing the gap that Stella was slowly shortening, his cock fully inside her and he moaned himself. She felt so good, so tight. Like there was no one else made for him but her. The thought gave him a flutter deep in his belly. She was his, and would be forever, if she'd have him. Stella rolled her hips against his, grinding down the pressure on her sensitive clit while Jake's lips moved over her skin, nearing her pert nipples. His hands wove around her back, fingers pressing into her spine as he bobbed his hips up and down to meet with her rolls. It was a dirty grind, water sloshing out of the tub like waves licking the shore. When Jake found a nipple and rolled it between his lips, his tongue tasting her flesh and his teeth nipping at it, Stella tugged at the little bits of longer hair atop Jake's head as she squeaked out a pleasurable sound. One of Jake's large hands palmed down her back and over the curve of her ass, squeezing her cheek as she rocked all whilst he played with her breasts. The same hand soon found its way between their bodies and pressed hard into her clit before smoothing upward over her tummy and grasping her left breast, kneading it gently. The more he gave, the more she took and before long she was grinding down against him, her breathing ragged as he thrust up, hard, his hands dropping to her hips.  “Come on baby,” he groaned as her head fell back, his lips nipping against her collar bone, “fuck, I love you.” “Love you.” She groaned as he thrust up, her hands curling over his shoulders, nails biting his skin. “Shit, Jakey, I’m gonna...” “Cum baby, come on.” His jaw clenched as her body trembled and her eyes fluttered closed, as she let out a broken, whispered groan. As she clenched around him, Jake gave a soft growl of his own, his hips moving slightly faster as he rutted up, pulling her down onto him. The coil in his abdomen that had been tightening and tightening snapped and his entire body surrendered, a surge of warmth spreading from his belly outwards and he stilled, his cock twitching as he came. A few sloppy thrusts later and he stilled with a satisfied him, his hands moving to smooth Stella’s damp hair back off her face as hers cupped his cheeks. She simply looked at him for a moment and he gave her a grin causing her to chuckle as she pressed a soft kiss to his mouth.  “Jesus Christ, that was amazing.” Jensen mumbled and Stella grinned, her lips meeting his once more. They stayed still for a moment, soft kisses being shared until Stella shivered a little and Jake helped her move off him so he could get out of the tub and leave her to finish off. He grabbed a towel and his glasses from the basin unit before he dried off, gathered his discarded clothes and headed onto the small landing of the accommodation. Pooch, who was just emerging from the other bedroom shot him a look. “You better clean that damned bathroom before I use it.” He arched his eyebrow and Jensen grinned. “You’re like the best disgusting person I know.” Pooch continued with a snort before he nodded his head to the stairs. “Take it you’re two ain’t coming?” “Already came, Poochy.” Jensen grinned as he walked to their bedroom, laughing as the sounds of Pooch’s groans of disgust hit his ears.
****
Stella woke the next morning to a burning deep in her core and Jake’s face between her legs. Her orgasm roused her much better than any alarm or cup of coffee ever could and as Jake stuffed himself insider her, his mouth nipping softly at her neck, she smiled softly to herself as she realised he’d done this very thing the first morning they’d moved up to college together.
After pulling on her Army Uniform cargo pants, Stella tucked her khaki green tee into the waist and adjusted the belt before she sat down and laced up her heavy boots as Jake fiddled with the collar of his, complaining that it felt tight. When Stella pointed out he was slightly more built than he had been last time he wore it a good few months ago, he grinned and flexed his arms to give her the ‘gun show’ making her snort and shake her head.
They headed out of the house and walked the half a mile to the main gate of the base, flashing their ID and making their way to the Mess for breakfast where they met with the rest of the team, Pooch giving them another filthy look as their antics had continued beyond the bathroom and much later into the night. Once they’d finished eating, they each grabbed a coffee to go and headed down to the War Rooms - a network of conference rooms and IT facilities nestled in a bunker along the runway of the RAF Base - and settled down in the leather seats around the large, polished mahogany table ready for whoever it was from the CIA that would be arriving to give the debrief.
They’d been there for roughly half an hour or so and Jensen was already bored. He was messing around, twirling his pen in-between his fingers, the other tapping against the disposable coffee cup. After a pause, he took his pen and began to draw a face on the white plastic lid.
“What are you doing?” Stella looked at him, having caught his fiddling in the corner of her eye.
“I’m bored, Stelly,” his voice was a childish whine, “where is this guy anyway? We’ve been waiting here for like thirty minutes!”
“Just take the fucking pen off him, Arty.” Roque groaned. Stella reached over for it and snatched it away”
“Hey, that’s mine!”
“Jensen, shut up!” Roque shot back and Jensen turned to him.
“Why? It’s not like anyone is talking anyway.”
“You, you’re talking. As usual. Put a sock in it.” Roque turned to Stell as Clay stood up and walked to the door to see if anyone was coming. “How the fuck do you put up with this?”
“He has his mouth busy most of the time.” Stella quipped as she leaned back in the chair and Jensen gave her a dopey grin.
Both Roque and Pooch let out noises of disgust, Cougar’s chuckle just audible from the other side of the table where he lounged with his feet on the table and his hat pulled down over his eyes.
“Yeah, laugh all you want but next time it’s you sharing the digs with them.” Pooch looked at him. “I’m done.”
“Chill out.” Cougar replied and Pooch blinked.
“Did you just tell me to chill?”
Cougar smirked in response, tipping his hat up slightly to flash Pooch a wink.
“The Pooch is perfectly chilled.”
“The Pooch refers to himself in the third person,” Jensen shook his head, “that’s so not chill.”
“Oh…this just got even better.” Clay’s remark had them all turning towards him, the teasing banter dying off as Roque sat up.
“What?”
Clay simply walked into the room, rolling his eyes. Less than five seconds later, in walked a very familiar face.
“Oh great.” Jake mumbled as Stella blinked, coming face to face with her ex for the first time since he’d stormed out of her apartment all those months ago.
“Good Morning.” Evan greeted them all before he nodded to Stella, a little awkwardly. “Hey.”
“Evan, hi... what are you... what are you doing here?” She asked and Evan took a deep breath.
“It was my intel you guys were running down so I’m here for debrief.”
“That was your intel?” Pooch spoke and Evan nodded.
“Yeah, we’ve been tracking Khalil for a while and reached out to him a while ago to offer him a deal. He declined so we needed to bring him in.” Evan nodded. “His activities were giving us cause for concern, not to mention with the Russians behind him. We needed to make the grab before he got even more power behind his cause.”
Jake sensed Stella tensing slightly besides him and slid his hand over her thigh. Her fingers gently locked over his as she kept her gaze on Evan, who had spotted the subtle movement of Jake’s hand. He didn’t say anything, instead the man’s eyes flicked to Jake’s who simply stared back before Roque chipped in.
“So, we got the guy. Did he give you what you needed?”
“I can’t tell you that.” Evan replied, apologetically. “It’s classified, need to know basis.”
“In that case I don’t wanna know.” Pooch mumbled.
Stella’s mind was whirling. Truth be told, she’d started to think about exactly why they’d been dispatched to capture this particular guy alive, when his type were ten-a-penny all over the place. There was a lot more to it than the fact this guy’s ideologies didn’t fit with those of the Western World.  And then, the final little piece dropped into place in her analytical brain and she turned her head to see Clay watching her.
“Did you know?” She asked.
Clay shook his head. “Suspected but…”
“Suspected what?” Jensen looked at Clay then Stella. “Babe?”
She took a deep breath. “There’s a reason why we were on a capture not kill mission. At first I assumed it was to do with not making him a martyr but then throwing him in prison would cause just as much unrest. But that unrest will die down when he’s released in a few months in exchange for his cooperation for details on his Russian backers and arms suppliers.”
The rest of the team looked at her, then to Evan who blinked, his face remaining stoic as Stella shook her head and continued.
“He then lets his supporters know that he and his friends in Russia had a disagreement and he was traded away. He retires to some island somewhere, under the careful watch of the UN and fades away into non-existence.”
There was silence and Evan took a deep breath, “it’s not quite as simple as that, Stel…Stevenson, but yeah, that’s pretty much the basics.”
“God, this is so fucking bent.” Stella shook her head. “It’s no wonder the entire world hates us.”
“You know, considering you technically work for the CIA and the Armed Forces, you kinda signed up for this.” Clay raised his eyebrow as Stella rolled her eyes.
“We tried to negotiate terms with him. He turned them down.” Evan replied, matter-of-factly. “So we sent you in to enforce them. The rest, as I stated a minute or so ago, you really don’t need to know.”
“Yeah, classified, we heard.” Clay replied, leaning back in his chair.
“Did you suspect the Lebanese Special Service would try a double cross?” Roque looked at Evan and the man shot him an apologetic look.
“It was always possible, yeah. But you know how it goes…”
Roque scoffed and Cougar shifted in his seat, Evan’s eyes flicking to him before he took a deep breath and shrugged.
“If it helps, think of the bigger picture. We remove their leader, cut off the Russian support, and suddenly the LFP is nothing more than an overhyped street gang...”
“Yeah, that doesn’t really help.” Jensen wrinkled his nose and Evan shrugged, not quite meeting his eyes.
“Well, that’s your opinion. Not ours.” He cleared his throat, “anyway, it’s done. The mission is over. For now, you guys need to lay low. We’ve cleared it with the RAF for you to stay in the area for a while until all the fuss about Khalil going missing has died down. We’ll be monitoring all the usual lines and channels of communication, making sure no one has your descriptions and doing what we can to keep your faces out of the public eye.” Evan paused. “But, I’m sure I don’t need to remind you what happens if we can’t.”
At that The Losers simply looked at one another. Evan was right, they didn’t need reminding. That was the whole point of the CIA running the number of Black-Ops teams it did. It gave them a way to do the slightly grey area dirty jobs and remain at arm’s length, denying all responsibility if required.
“Any idea on how long that’s gonna be?” Pooch asked.
“Probably be a week, maybe two. But once we’re confident we’re clear, we’ll send word and get you back to the US.” Evan replied.
“So what you’re saying is we got two weeks off?” Cougar spoke and Evan looked at him, giving a shrug.
Pooch grinned and fist bumped Cougar.
“Are you staying here too?” Jensen looked at Evan and he shook his head.
“Don’t worry, I’m flying back to Virginia tonight”
“I’m not really worried…” Jake shrugged. There was a moment where both men simply stared at each other until Clay coughed.
“Right, is there anything else?”
“Mission reports due as usual, next forty eight hours.” Evan turned his head away from Jensen and looked around the team. “I’ve arranged access into the Red Network from the hub on the base. Your liaison officer, Wing Commander Levinson, says he can set you guys up with time on the range or the phys- ops courses too, have you join their drills if you want. Might be an idea to keep yourselves sharp.”
Cougar, Pooch and Jake all groaned at the suggestion of the physical training whilst Roque and Stella looked at one another, nodding.
“Yeah, I can go for that.” Roque agreed.
“And that’s it, other than on behalf of the CIA I wanted to thank you, it was a slick operation. We’re really pleased with how this one turned out.”
The team exchanged looks and soft smiles, before Clay stood up.
“Okay, Losers. Let’s grab some more coffee and then we can regroup. Figure out what we do for the next two weeks.
Movement filled the room as they all stood to leave, and just as Stella had picked up her empty coffee cup, Evan cleared his throat.
“Stella, can I have a word?”
She hesitated and Jake turned to look at her. He opened his mouth to protest but she cut him off. “Jakey, it’s fine. Go, I’ll catch you up.”
He blinked, before he turned to Evan, the glare he gave him positively filthy before he turned and left the room. Evan and Stella stood still watching him go, before Stella turned to Evan, the man giving her a soft smile.
“You look well. Being happy suits you.” His tone carried no anger, and Stella found herself returning his smile before she sighed and shook her head.
“Listen Evan, I...”
“It’s okay Stella,” he spoke, holding his hand up, “I won’t keep you long. I just wanted to apologize. I was an asshole when you broke up with me.” Stella took a deep breath as he continued. “The way I acted and the things I said were horrible. My mother would be ashamed and I just ...” he shrugged. “I wanted to let you know I was sorry, that’s all.”
Slightly surprised at his outwardly contrite tone, Stella simply shook her head. “It’s okay. You were hurt. I hurt you.”
“Yeah you did but that doesn’t excuse the way I reacted. So, like I said, I’m sorry.” He smiled, gesturing with his hand to the door. “And I’m glad that you and Jake are, you know, making it work.”
As he spoke the final like, that tell-tale nerve in his jaw twitched a little and Stella knew that he wasn’t happy, at all. But, given that the rest of his apology had been genuine, she accepted the gesture for what it was.
“Thank you.” She gave a soft smile. “And for what it’s worth, I’m sorry too. I did like you Ev, it just…”
“It wasn’t meant to be.” He shrugged. “Yeah, I get that now. And hey, no hard feelings. If we hadn’t broken up I’d never have met Talia so…”
“Oh, you’re seeing someone?”
“Yeah.” Evan nodded. “It’s early days, we’ve had a few dates and been away for a weekend. She’s nice, I like her.”
“Good, well I hope it works out.” Stella smiled. There was a pause before she took a breath. “I better…” she jerked her hand towards the door and Evan nodded.
“Of course…”
“I’ll, erm, see you around, yeah?”
“Yeah, take care, Stella.”
“You too, Evan.”
With a final smile at one another, Stella left the room and headed back up the corridor. Jake was waiting outside for her, leaning against the wall of the building.
“All okay?” He asked and she nodded.
“Yeah.”
“What did he want?”
“To apologise for the way he acted when we broke up.” Stella shrugged. “That was it, oh, and he’s seeing someone else. Which is nice. I hope it works for him. He’s a good guy.”
Jensen made a non-committal noise in his throat and Stella looked at him. “Don’t start.”
“I didn’t say anything.”
“You don’t need to.” Stella rolled her eyes. “Stop.”
“Okay, okay, sorry. I just, well, I don’t know what it is but I still don’t trust him, never have. He’s shady.”
“He’s an intel officer for the CIA.” Stella scoffed, taking Jake’s hand. “We’re a Black-Ops team. Far more shady than he is.”
“Suppose.” Jensen sniffed, as the two of them walked down the side of the building. As they went, Jensen suddenly had a sense of unease. Almost as if they were being watched. He turned his head to glance over his shoulder, but found no one. Taking a deep breath, he shook his head, telling himself he was being ridiculous. They were on a secure Military Base, probably the safest place they could be given the circumstances.
“You okay?” Stella asked.
“Yeah, I’m fine.” he assured her, “so, the rest of The Losers are in the coffee shop. Pooch is already on his phone checking out local bars, fancy hitting a few tonight?”
“Why not?” Stell grinned up at him, leaning up to place a soft kiss to the underside of his jaw. Jake smiled, and pulled her closer as they headed off to join up with the rest of the team, casting a final glance over his shoulder, once more seeing nothing out of the ordinary.
Racer! Bo Sinclair x Reader
Hey y’all so while having a small conversation through asks about Bo and the playlist i made about him this idea came to mind sooo HERE YOU GO!!!
A/N: I keep forgetting how AWFUL i am at writing endings so yeah,,,,,, ALSO IGNORE THAT THIS IS LIKE MONTHS LATE AT THIS POINT IVE BEEN V BUSY <also please send in more requests if you want i need that ✨inspiration✨ but ofc its up to yall if you do it>
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bright lights shined down at the race track. The thick smell of Gasoline and Cigarettes floated around. The speakers boomed with music to keep people entertained before the race. The ground almost vibrating to the beat of Thunderstruck by AC/DC. Bustling groups of mechanics for each racer rushing around to quickly patch up anything that may have happened in the time between last race and now.
Laying on the hood of his car a cigarette lazily hanging out his mouth. Bo Sinclair stood his presence instilling a tense layer across all the other Racers. Only recently having recovered from a pretty bad case of whiplash from a crash a couple races back, he stood tall commanding respect from everyone around him. When he got hurt most people in the community thought he would leave for good, yet here he was.
Bo stared off into the distance, a determined look stayed plastered to his face. Not noticing the person walking up towards him, Bo slightly flinched when a hand fell on his upper arm. The thick muscle only twitched to show it registered in his head someone touched him. Turning his head towards the offending hand thinking it was just some mechanic needing him to move.
Locking eyes with you he visibly released the tension in his shoulders. “Hey Baby what do you need?” He questioned, obviously too focused on wanting to win this race and to show hes still top dog. “I ‘on’t need anything just wanted to make sure you’re ok.” You said softly, trying to show that you are just concerned.
“Yeah ‘m fine just focused on the race.” Bo spoke while turning towards you. The look in his eyes lit a fire in yours. You knew how Bo felt when he lost. He could burn down a city with one look just by the fire in his eyes. In that moment the announcer rang through the speakers.
“Racers head to the track!” the booming voice signaled it was time to get ready. The race should be simple only 90 laps with a break after 20 and 40 laps. Bo stood up from his leaning position and leaned down to kiss you. “Love ya’ baby. I’ll see you after I win this.” His face contorted into a smirk and he winked at you. “Love you too! Good Luck!” You said with a happiness filling your heart.
Moving towards the sidelines you waited for the race to start. Anxiety and Nerves rose in your chest, fear that maybe just maybe Bo gets in another wreck. The possibility of him getting hurt again scared you, but you knew that him getting hurt was the least of your worries. The biggest concern is Bo winning this race, god knows what he would do if he lost.
The sound of a gun being shot snapped you out of your thoughts. Sounds of cars zipping past you and the smell of burnt rubber brought your gaze to Bo’s car, a slick black car with grey detailing. The sounds of the fans drowned out the loud music playing, the hype of Bo leading the pack of cars excited everyone.
In Bo’s car he just focuses on going as fast as he can. Not trying to think about anything else but the sweet taste of victory. The high that he feels when we wins will be unimaginable compared to previous wins. Just wining was amazing, but wining after everyone thought you would retire after one injury? That will be indescribable.
He just let himself slip into being one with the car. He didn’t pay attention to the others that he had already left in the dust, Instead choosing to lock his brain to the feeling of the car purr with the power it held. He had passed by you many times. Every time it blew your hair all over to the point you just put on Bo’s cap to keep everything as in place as possible.
After the first 20 laps he finally paused. Greedily taking in air the adrenaline pulsed in his veins. His cheeks flushed as blood rushed around in his ears. He looked over and made eye-contact with you. That Cocky smile of his blooming across his lips yet again.
Your heart pounded with the flustered feeing you felt. Even though you’ve been together for awhile his smiles still made you weak in the knees. He got out of the car for his first break, the maintenance crew rushing over the double check the car and to change out anything that needed to get switched. Walking over to you Bo leaned down a kissed your cheek. He closed his eyes for a moment and basked in the sunlight waiting for the small break to be over.
“Lookin’ pretty good out there hon.” You said with a smile plastered on your face. “You’re smoking the others, they can barely keep up.” Continuing with a small chuckle. “Yeah, Sweetheart? Well lets hope it stays that way.” Bo said, his smirk fading to a sincere small grin. At that moment of just staring at each other in complete love and adoration the Speakers crackled.
“Racers please start heading back into your cars.” The speakers boomed with the sound of the announcers energetic voice. Bo looked back over at you and leaned in again smearing a kiss across your forehead. Soon he was back in his car his mindset swiftly shifting from relaxed to focus again.
Soon enough the rest of the race zipped by. Bo continued his demolition of the other racers. His focused and determined mindset pushing him passed the finish line and get the first place he deserved. When he was announced as the winner he quickly turned and dipped you into a harsh yet loving kiss.
Pulling you back up, you smiled at him. “I knew you’d win baby. Ain’t none of them other racers as good as you.”

Tumblr media
As Blake drove back to New York City, his busted mouth and bleeding nose ruining his suit he screeched into the parking garage before letting out a rage filled scream in his car. How could she just treat him like shit? After all that success he brought her and the wealth. Getting out in a huff, he slammed the door shut and locked it before making his way inside to the elevator. Lucky for him it was empty. As the doors of the elevator closed and the soft music played in the background, Blake looked at his disheveled and bleeding face. If he wasn’t in so much pain, he would wince and curse at himself for letting an asshole beat him up so easily. How was he going to explain this to his boss? He had to think of a perfect lie, or excuse. But that all flew out the window when the elevator doors slid open to reveal a well decorated and expensive room revealing his boss along with many of his men and colleagues and many beautiful women.
The room was a gorgeous burgundy carpet with cream colored walls and cherry wood paneling. Rich and expensive leather furniture and a bar with only the best alcohol lining the back. His boss sat at the cherry wood desk where he had at least four beautiful women in silk and satin dresses and expensive furs draped around and over their shoulders. Blake knew that Bella had to be with him, at his side. Obedient or kicking and screaming. But here he was, empty handed. And his boss knew that she didn’t hurt Blake like that.
“Blake… What the hell happened to you, laddie?” The man asked while sitting at his desk, his hand stroking one of his girls' thigh gently. Her fair skin practically glowing in the low light.
Blake cleared his throat as he walked in and did his best to look presentable. “Isabella got ahold of me. Had a bat and everything. I didn’t want to cause a scene and get the cops involved. So, I jus-”
BANG!!
“AHHH! GOD DAMN IT!!!”
Blake fell to the floor, gripping his shoulder as his boss had shot him with rather expert precision. The girls had moved away and watched in horror of what had happened. The man rose and walked over to Blake who was bleeding into the carpet, luckily it was the color that it was. He crouched down and pressed the barrel off the gun into the wound that he just caused, making Blake cry out in agony.
“Do ya really think that for one Fucking Second, that I believed that line of bullshit? Hmm!?” He barked, his Irish accent growing thick with each passing syllable. “Now, where is my little tropical lass?”
Blake looked up at his boss, knowing he had to be careful what he said next. “Shaun… I swear, I tried to get her t-”
A loud crack echoed in the room as Blake got pistol whipped by his boss. Shaun’s nose was flaring as his frustration was growing more and more with each passing second. He did not want to hear the lies and excuses.
“WHERE IS SHE!?!” Shaun roared.
“Roxbury! She’s in Roxbury…” Blake whimpered, if you could call it a whimper.
Shaun motioned with his head to get Blake up and out of the room so he can be seen by the doctor that was in the house. Sighing at the dark spot that Blake had bled out, another one of his men called the carpet cleaner to get an appointment and soon walked out to explain the details. Straightening his suit and holstering his gun in his waistband, Shaun walked back to his desk and patted his lap for one of the girls to sit in which a blonde happily obliged. With some attention from the buxom blonde, Shaun gestured to Jimmy to his desk which he did and raised a brow.
“What is it?” Jimmy asked as he looked over Shaun.
He raised a brow back, mirroring his expression and clicked his tongue. “Gather your best men, make a plan and find me Bella. She needs to repay her debt with us.”
“And if she fights back?” Jimmy inquired.
Shaun snorted and gave Jimmy a bored expression that grew serious. “Bring me her, skin and bones if ya have to. I want her here, on her knees begging for mercy from the Lord so I can have the privilege to blow her bloody fucking brains out.”
With a nod, Jimmy gathered some men before leaving out to recruit several more. Shaun on the other hand, took a heavy swig of his brandy and trying to calm his nerves. He looked across his desk the papers, lists and spreadsheets of money, gigs and jobs that were done. As he reached over her grabbed a picture of a mug shot that was once Isabella Kahale in the NYPD Most Wanted. Beaten and with an expressionless stare at the camera, Shaun chuckled and kissed the image before laying the picture down. He was going to have his revenge on the island girl.

Title: Captain Six
Tumblr media
“We have support from the locals. Not all of them. But plenty.”
Sy nodded in understanding as Liv informed him about their recent advancements with the villagers. She was dressed in her fatigues, her hair neatly tied in a bun and standing with her hands behind her back. She stood confidently beside Sy’s Lieutenant, the soft city girl disappearing under the strong demeanor of a soldier.
“They want to stay hidden for the time being. But they trust us.” Pepps added, his gloved hands holding the straps of his vest.
“It won’t turn out like the teacher from last year?” Sy asked, glancing from Pepps to Olivia. He remembered the horrible incident where the one person who had decided to help them had been charred to death. He had reached the school to witness a wailing woman and spectators watching as the burnt corpse was being taken to shelter by his brother. The deceased’s wife was shouting curses at them which still to this day kept ringing in Sy’s ears.
“Not currently.” The confidence in Liv’s voice had faltered, her tone dropping an octave. She looked at Pepps nervously with pursed lips.
The Captain let out a sigh. He rubbed his beard and brought his arms up to cross them over his chest. Glancing at the soldiers standing in front of him, he leaned back on his chair. “We’ll cross that bridge when we get there.”
Pepps picked up his gun from the chair and left the office, throwing a nod towards the Captain. Sy watched his Lieutenant walk out the door, leaving only him and Liv in the office. Away from prying eyes, Liv relaxed her shoulders and stood at ease. Bringing her hand to her mouth, she yawned while looking at Sy from the corner of her eyes.
An amused smile crept up on Sy’s bearded face. “Tired?”
Dragging another yawn out of her mouth, Liv smiled lazily at him. “I have been up since…I don’t know… Yesterday? Noon?”
“You had the night shift.” Sy remarked. He had noticed her posted at the barracks with Sloan as he was returning back to his room. She had been animatedly describing something to her comrade, laughing as Sloan had snorted in return.
“I could really take a nice massage.” She rubbed her neck while rolling her shoulders.
Sy smiled at his girl. He was absolutely enamored with the red-haired, gun wielding beauty. A week ago, he had finally kissed her tantalizing lips after agonizing over the thought for so long. He had felt his heart swell, hypothetical butterflies fluttering in his belly. She had tasted sweet; her soft supple lips had glided perfectly against his. The dipping sun had casted a soft glow on her face, making her hair shine like tendrils of lustrous copper.
“Come here.” He commanded with a flick of his hand. Liv raised an eyebrow at him with her hand resting on her neck. Sy tilted his head with a smile as he waited for Liv to move. With a moment of hesitation, she took slow steps towards him. In the week that had followed after their first kiss, they had stolen some more chaste kisses around the camp. Both of them, without voicing their choices, had resorted to keep their budding relationship on the down low. Even if two of their own Sergeants were parading around, openly declaring their love for each other, Sy and Liv could not risk that kind of behavior. They were leaders of their units after all. As much as Sy would love to kiss Liv out in the open, there was a decorum to maintain and Liv agreed.
“Close the door first.” Sy nearly chuckled as Liv’s eyes widened and she hurried towards the worn-out wooden door to his office. Swiftly shutting it close, Liv walked back to him. Sy glanced at her expectant eyes looking down at him. He spread his legs out on the chair and opened his arms, inviting her to sit on his lap.
Liv shook her head at him, rolling her eyes and gracing him with her beautiful smile before climbing on his lap. She straddled him, her hands circling his neck as Sy looked into her golden orbs. He placed a peck on her lips and brought his hands up behind her to work on her tensed shoulders. He pressed down gently on her aching muscles, which elicited a low moan from her. The mellifluous undertone of her voice stirred an arousal in his loins, her thighs rubbing against his crotch not making it any better.
“Now where would you get your massage back home?” He asked, distracting himself with releasing the taut muscles of their tension.
“There’s this place in Tribeca that I frequent when I am on leave.”
Sy felt Liv’s body ease against his as he kneaded his way through her back. He watched as she closed her eyes, reveling in the feeling of relaxation. Her warm breath washed over his face as Liv let out appreciative mewls as he rubbed the aching spot behind her neck. She clutched his t-shirt tightly in her hands as he increased the pressure on the sore spot. Her hips jerked forward, rubbing against his groin making Sy take in a sharp breath.
“Easy there, little birdie.” Sy breathed out. He brought one hand on her cheek, stroking his thumb over her cheekbone and making her open her eyes to look at him. A glint of mischief danced in her whiskey-colored eyes matched by the quirk of her lips. She rocked her hips lightly against his whilst bringing her hand to caress the soft hairs at the nape of his neck.
A shuddering breath escaped Sy’s lips as Liv’s crotch rubbed against his waking arousal. He brought both of his hands down to her hips, grabbing them tightly and stilling her from performing her ministrations on him. Her lips drew out in a pout, her bottom lip sticking out in disapproval.
Sy would have wanted nothing but to take her in his office. Fleeting thoughts about her sensuous, naked body sprawled beneath him had made him jerk off in the privacy of his room. Imaginations had run particularly wild when two nights ago, Sy had pulled Liv into the empty gym hall in the dead of the night. He had pushed her against the wall, his hands on either side of her head, capturing her in place. He was addicted to the feel of her hands on his chest, her lips on his and the breathy moans she elicited. Their chaste kisses had turned to a steamy make-out with tongue rolling against each other, hands grabbing at every inch of their bodies. He had kissed down her neck, pulling her shirt aside to run his warm tongue over her collarbone while Liv had palmed him over his shorts.
Sy knew they would have crossed the line if it wouldn’t have been for the night patrolling unit to come running down the stairs, just outside the gym.
“I think I should retire to my quarters.” Liv commented, bringing her head to rest on his shoulder. “I need a long night’s sleep.” She muttered against his skin, yawning again.
Sy ran his hand soothingly over her back. He held her close to his body, listening to her breathing as she drifted in and out of sleep. He was aware she was overworked. Besides running their main objective of fetching the food truck, she had also immersed herself in the work of the Special Forces. Liv made sure to go out to the village and speak to the inhabitants with Sy’s men, trying to understand their problems and sympathizing with them. To add to her schedule, Sy and Liv woke up early most mornings to catch the sunrise whilst drinking tea. It was like a routine for them and Sy wasn’t complaining. Although everything was sunshine and roses for them at the moment, he also wanted her to open up to him.
Sy had spilled about his entire life in front of her. He did not want to keep secrets from her, and he wanted to know hers. His life was like an open book to her now but all he could do was read the title of hers. Liv was a closed off person, hiding behind snarky comebacks and friendly banter. Sy had tried asking about her life back home, but all he could gather was that she had a younger brother and her parents, all residing in New York.
He listened to her snore lightly as her arms fell down from around his neck. She felt feather light against his body, her lean thighs resting effortlessly over his thick ones. He couldn’t let her fall asleep on his lap for the night, but he decided to let her take a quick nap for a few minutes.
“You are so comfortable.” She mumbled after a few minutes. “Like a life-size teddy bear.”
Sy chuckled softly. Liv turned her face on his shoulder and started peppering kisses along Sy’s neck. He breathed in slowly, goosebumps rising on his arms. His shoulders were circled by Liv’s arms again, her hands resting lightly at the back of his neck. She left a wet trail of kisses from under his earlobe to the crook of his neck. Sy closed his eyes as desire stirred within him. He felt her breasts press against his chest as Liv arched her back while blowing her hot breath on his warm skin.
“Liv,” he drawled her name out. His hands rested on her waist pulling her closer to him.
Sy wanted to give his all to her. He wanted her to be his in ways more than one. But he knew so little about her. He wanted to connect to her, mind and body. Sy understood he was seen as someone who would sleep around, whoring his way around town. He was anything but.
“I don’t know anything about you.” He whispered out loud stilling Olivia in his arms.
She pushed herself away from him to stare at him. “What do you mean?”
Sy took a deep breath. He knew he would sound like an insistent, clingy boyfriend if he barraged her with questions about her life. Maybe it was too soon for them, but he couldn’t help it. He wanted to know her.
“I don’t know where you live and I’m not talking about the city.” He adds as her mouth opens to interject. “What about your family? Your friends? Your life outside the army?”
“Where is this coming from?” She tilted her head to the side and rested her hands on his chest.
“I told you about my first time in high school and so many embarrassing childhood memories. Things I haven’t told anyone before. Things people don’t expect me to remember.” He shook his head at himself, overwhelmed by his own vulnerability.
Olivia’s eyes softened as he blabbered about himself. She placed a hand on his cheek, gently rubbing his soft beard. “I feel honored to know such private details about your life. I’m not hiding anything.” He leaned against her hand, nodding in agreement. “Okay, so, I live in Brooklyn, not with my family. I have a whole of two friends outside the army and one distant cousin in Minneapolis. Schmidt is my best friend, as you must have noticed, and I didn’t go to college because I joined the army right after I graduated from high school.”
“You didn’t go to college?”
“Did you?” Her eyes widened at him.
Sy rubbed the back of his neck and adjusted in his seat. “I have a degree in political science.” He watched Liv’s mouth drop open and she blinked several times.
“Wow. You just got a whole lot sexier, Captain Syverson.” She leaned in to plant a kiss on his lips. “Lot more intelligent than silly me.”
Sy laughed at her silliness. He placed both of his hands on her cheeks and gazed at her, his eyes tracing every details of her face. His thumb grazed over her lips. He felt content with the new information about her life, but a particular question kept nagging him. “Were you with anyone before me?”
He watched as she shifted awkwardly on his lap. Her eyes dropped down to focus on his chest, her mouth pressing into a thin line. He looked at her with expectant eyes practically hearing the wheels turning in her mind.
“Everyone has a past.” She said, the mirth in her voice disappearing with her finger twisting in his t-shirt. “Let’s just say, for now, I shouldn’t have messed with someone’s feelings and I’ll regret it for the rest of my life.”
Sy could see she was uncomfortable talking about it. She refused to look him in the eye while she spoke, fixating on tracing circles on his chest instead. He brought his finger under her chin to make her look up. Her eyes held veiled emotions, silently pleading him to not coax her into talking about it any further. He smiled at her softly, nudging her nose with his.
“Okay.” He whispered, pecking her lips reassuringly. “Now you should go to bed. Food truck retrieval tomorrow.”
Sy let Liv climb off his lap, an emptiness filling his being at the loss of warmth from her body. He raked his gaze over the curve of her body as she stretched her arms above her head.
“See you in the morning?” She asked, walking towards the door. Her hand rested on the latch, waiting for his answer.
Sy nodded at her, watching as she opened the door and walked out into the corridor. The bustling sounds of the camp greeted his ears, bringing him back to the present, away from the cocoon he had with Liv.
That was twenty hours ago. The scorching desert heat beat down on him as they hurriedly drove to Camp Warhorse. Sy ached for those hours now. He wanted nothing more than to share more about her life. Engulf himself in her presence again. Comms blaring, commands coming from every direction. The SOS message from Echo team assigned to the food truck still rang in his ears.
"Chopper hit. We're under attack."
Sy’s heart was beating in his chest, thumping against his ribcage. Their engines roared as he pressed down on the accelerator, blowing sand as his tires skidded along the dirt road.
Blood chilled in his veins when the second message came through, clear in the chaos.
"Repeat, under attack. 3 wounded. 1 KIA."
