tysm for answering my qs about werewolf!eliot !! not to keep bugging you lol but i remember you mentioned in the tags of a post one time about a hc/au of parker being some sort of fae or otherworldly being who’s just kinda found herself here in the non-magical world - could you elaborate on that? like how come she’s in the non-fantasy part of the leverage universe, or whether the other characters know, etc? only if you want to of course, no pressure :) i’m really enjoying reading your posts about all these ideas!

Honestly I don't have as clear ideas for Parker as I did for Eliot, but I imagine her being some kind of changeling or air/wind sprite that was left with humans for whatever reason.

(ooh i'm getting more ideas for this the more i think about it..)

okay, Parker is actually half-fey, half-human

no one really knows who her parents were or how she came to be on her own (me included lol), she was just found on a doorstep as a baby

the people who took her in had their own issues and the state eventually intervened and sent Parker into foster care

she found out at a very early age that she was different to other kids - she could move around without making a sound, she could fit into tiny spaces - all very helpful for a young girl in a foster system that was chewing her up and spitting her out

she also discovered that she could ... not turn invisible exactly, but she could be less visible if she wanted to be; all she has to do is think about not being seen and people's eyes just drift over her

Archie had absolutely no idea what she was when he got his hands on her, but even he knew that she was beyond just a gifted child

he only realised there was something magical about her after she fell off the roof of the warehouse he'd been training her in - then walked it off like it was no biggie

fey creatures love puzzles and riddles, so of course Parker has always had a natural affinity for puzzles (aka locks)

her super artistic talent is a trait that is Entirely Parker and, given that she entered a life of crime early and was surrounded by artistic masterpieces all the time, she never even considered that other people would draw/paint/whatever with any lower skill level

this contributes to her not understanding what the fuss is over art

she gave herself the name Parker when Archie met her and asked her name; it was the first thing that came to mind

she doesn't remember her birth name and isn't bothered by that in the slightest

Eliot was the first of the team to figure out she was fey - being a werewolf, he can smell and/or sense that kind of thing on others

Hardison suspected something was up with her, but then felt bad for thinking that, but then strange things kept happening around her so he started to keep a list ...

pretty much Hardison has a red-string conspiracy theory-style board of Parker Things. He's too terrified of offending her to ask her outright, but he's more convinced every day

(he's also more in love with her and just thinks her fey-ness is another thing to celebrate)

Parker finds Hardison's board of Parker Things and is utterly fascinated. It's like he understands her better than she understands herself. He's super flustered when he finds her poring over the board and tries to make excuses, but Parker's quick to steamroll over that and demands if he knows what she is

Eliot finds them 15 mins later, stuck in an endless loop of confusion over which of them actually knows what Parker is

he just rolls his eyes, says she's half-fey, it's obvious, like, "what? it's a very distinctive smell!"

which leads to how the hell would he know what the fey are and Eliot's like, oh crap, right, they still don't know I'm a werewolf whoops

Hardison and Parker stage a coming-out for her to Nate and Sophie

(Eliot refuses to be involved but still gets roped into carrying the banner. He's still finding glitter in his hair weeks later)

Sophie is thrilled about the reveal and confesses to being a siren (or some other supernatural/magical creature that can manipulate people, idk i have less thoughts about her than i do about parker)

Nate is all like are you kidding me right now what the hell is my life

after a lot of badgering, he confesses he didn't know about Parker, although he has been ... aware of magical beings for some time

no he will not be discussing this any further, can we just get back to the con now??

Parker finds that, now she's aware of her fey-ness, her magical abilities develop further

she doesn't quite gain the ability to fly but ... yeah okay, she can pretty much fly

she wants to test how far this flying ability goes - by, of course, jumping off tall buildings with Hardison in her arms (and no harness for either of them)

Hardison flat out refuses this, so Eliot somehow finds himself the unwilling victim

of course, Parker masters flying while carrying people in no time and proves it to Hardison by just grabbing him and jumping off a building one day

(he's still in therapy for it)

Parker also discovers she can make herself kind of ... misty

this skill is harder to learn but she's already been able to make her hand go misty and whoosh inside a lock

picking the lock is harder in this incorporeal state but Parker's instincts say there's a way to do this, so she keeps practising until she can pretty much disintegrate herself and float through locked doors to rematerialise on the other side

it's a nightmare for the whole team because, sure, it's not like locked doors stopped her in the past. But now she's so excited about it all the time that any concept of privacy completely leaves her brain and she jumps in and out of rooms and safes etc any time of day or night

Wow. This ended up longer than expected! Guess I did have some ideas about fey!Parker after all..

Moon here! we actually have an AU that, as a side effect of its original intentions, explores that

It's a D&D-inspired fantasy AU, sort of a 'everyone lives and no one is evil and they all lived mostly happily ever after.' There's still some conflict here and there, of course, but overall it's a pretty fluffy AU.

The H!DS segment is a little bit of a mess and we mainly just said 'hey hey What If' and I made some heroforge things and made some shit up.

Pluto is a blackberry bush (A Dryad; and, because nymphs of greek mythology are all born female, he's a trans man) and is an agent of absolute chaos. he wanders around with his besties Slash, a dragonborn fighter with a big fucking sword, and Byte, a crossbow-wielding dwarf ranger. Because idk, why not a crossbow. Stitches (normal DS Error) is a wizard. It's hard to translate magic strings into more 'traditional' nerd fantasy magics

Delusion is also a trans dryad; but he's a tree. Specifically a black locust tree. He and Pluto (gasp!) grew up together.

Gouge is an elf; a lancer. She's sorta Delusion's body guard, not that he really need it. Still, it's good to have an extra set of eyes out while traveling.

Hunter is a satyr and he's still a lonely little shit but he loves making new friends. He's a user of nature magic; not really druidic magic, but yeah.

I can't find any more info about how they interacted, but I know they weren't nearly as hostile with each other.

Delusion is probably recovering from people worshiping him still. He's doing better, and trying to *actually* help people.

Pluto, Slash, and Byte are probably wanted for being thieves and instigators, but they're not murderers. They probably are adventurers, though; mostly taking on bounties for monster slaying and such. "Local town terrorized by basilisk saved; saviors proceed to terrorize town for a day before moving on." that sorta thing.

Gouge is probably still pretty sadistic, but it's to a more 'normal' degree. She's not torturing people. She does not enjoy torturing people. she's kind of an asshole most of the time though. she isn't fond of people. She *is* chill with Byte, Slash, and Pluto, though.

Hunter...I think he and Byte are still on bad terms, but I don't really remember. Either way I think it's much closer to how DS Error and Blue interact in canon. Wary, and Hunter wants to be friends again, but Byte is really. not feeling it. Hunter's still being overly friendly, though.

Day 10 of No One Except @mr-orion Asked November (NoOneExOriAskNov).

I bid you welcome to the Land of the Sunrise, one of the four major continents of the World of Four Horizons! It is located near the Ocean of the First Horizon, from which the sun rises every morning. Just a sketch map for now, but I’ll clean it up later. My first map in a couple seasons, and it’s for my fanfic worldbuilding project…

Below the cut is all my lengthy worldbuilding nonsense.

Here is a list of the nations, their rulers, their biomes, and their general appearances, in alphabetical order, that call this continent home.

- Climbing Spires is located in the southern red desert, its buildings of sturdy metal and built into the sides of buttes and mesas. Cub Fan Voidstars, a half-vex exile, rules as Sovereign of the Red Rock Crown, over humans, vulture-folk, camel-folk, and thinking husks.

- Dragon’s Spine is located on the largest and only true mountain range of the continent, its buildings being mostly sturdy castles that fly purple banners. Commander X, an enigma in armor, rules as the first Wearer of the Dragon Crown in ten generations, over a sparse population of humans, goat-folk and free iceologers.

- The Drained Lands are the only unclaimed territory of the continent, so desolate and dangerous are they. It used to be the home of the nation of Geyser Heights, a place of fish-folk that once ruled the entirety of the Lapis Sea. The only known survivor of the Evaporation Disaster is XB, a wandering dolphin-folk messenger.

- Elsewhere is located in the western savanna, its buildings being a strange amalgamation of countless architectural styles. Joe Hills, a completely normal human, rules as the first and only occupant of the Other Throne, over seemingly every sort of people imaginable.

- Evergreen is located in the western hilly taiga, its buildings whimsical and elegant, from grand castles to tall bridges to quaint villages in dark wood and green. Gemini Taylor, a deer-like fae, rules as the Queen of the Crown of Needles, over fox-folk, wolf-folk, humans, and other cold-weather faeries.

- Great Acacia is located in the southern windswept savanna, its buildings sprawling, colorful, and almost all parts of massive temple complexes dedicated to the Acacia divinities. Pearl Moon, a llama-folk, rules from the High Priestess’ Throne of Histories, over other llama-folk, horse-folk, meerkat-folk, ostrich-folk, and humans.

- Iceberg Metropolis is located in the northernmost lake, a place cold enough to have its own icebergs, its buildings modern, pale, and sleek. Keralis is the current Mayor of the Blue Ice Crown, with another wolf-folk, Iskall, as his vice; the two administer a population of more wolf-folk, goat-folk, humans, and a few iceologers.

- The Labyrinth is located in the southern jungle, its buildings swooping, golden, and intricate. Impulse Esvee, a wild ocelot, rules as the Emperor of the Emerald throne over other ocelots, cat-folk, humans, panda-folk, and bat-folk.

- Livingstone is located in the western hills and forests, its buildings ruins of a long-lost nation retaken by nature. Bee Double Oh, an insectoid fae, rules from the Moss Throne as lord of horse-folk, fae, humans, and a few spider-folk.

- The Maw is located in the formidable ice spike biome north of the Lapis Sea, its subterranean buildings harsh, practical, and made of stone. A Doctor Mk-77, whose species is not known, leads this underground world with the Deepfang Crown on his head, alongside strange thinking zombies, skeletons, spider-folk, and humans.

- The Neverglades is located in the cold northern swamp, its buildings craggy and foreboding in black. Tango Tek, a third stray, a third blaze, and a third human, rules from the Basalt Throne over thinking drowned, skeletons, witches, humans, and a few hoglins that managed to stave off zombification.

- Permafrost Springs is located in the eastern snowy plains and half-frozen lake, its buildings stately and columned in white and blue. Cleo, a rather long unlived zombie, now sits on the Everfrost Throne, and rules great ranks of humans, thinking zombies, iceologers, and goat-folk.

- Sunset Coast is located along the edge and into the shallows of the south Lapis Sea, its buildings gilded and reaching for the sky in copper and browns. Grian Sunset, or Virida, depending on who you ask, is the parrot-folk Sitter of the Dusk Throne, the first ruler of this young nation of other parrot-folk, a few humans, and a couple panda-folk from across the sea.

- The Tangle is located in the southern mangrove swamp, what few buildings it has being converted fragments of giant, ancient machines. Ren Dog, a name taken in pride and in shame, is the first and only Lord of the Vine Crown, commanding a small population of wolf-folk, drowned, and humans that are willing to follow such an exile.

- Technicolor City is located in the eastern plains and forests, its sprawling buildings painted in bright colors and standing in cheery ranks. Scar Timely Good, half vex and half elf, wears the hat-like Crown of Colors, and happily rules a motley population of humans and animal-folk of all kinds.

- Umbra is located in the central dark roofed forest, its hidden buildings polished and strangely lifelike in the shadows of the trees. False Symmetry, an unknown sort of dark fae, sits on the Darkwood Throne, and rules odd humans, fox-folk, bat-folk, and fae.

There are three other major continents, one for each cardinal direction. In the west, there is the Land of the Sunset, where the Empires rule the land. In the north, the Land of the Equinox, and in the south, the Land of the Solstice, are… nonexistent. For now.

Definitely multiple wips at a time. I have about 5 wips in my docs and have opened each of them at least once in the past 2 weeks

20. Do you prefer writing AUs or canon fics?

AUs!!!! I don’t mind writing canon-compliant fics, but I can’t help putting characters into situations 😩 it’s in my blood or something

40. What is your favorite world that you’ve created for a fic?

King Of Your Heart Pirate/Mage AU is definitely the one I’ve put the most time and effort into, and I really enjoyed working on it. I’m still really into the intricacies of the whole world and I’d love to expand more on it but I just don’t have an interest in doing so anymore

I’m also quite partial to Single-Dad-On-Purpose!Trevor AU, actually. Idk if I’ll ever expand on this one but it’s a very lovely idea 🥰 I’m a very sentimental person 🙈

Cryptid au what is vee’s role in the au ( also is it camilraeda)

consider with me. changeling. particularly an opportunistic changeling that was a little late on the money but got there eventually. saw that local lady had her kid frequently running off and went "FREE HOME" and jumped at the change to mimic Luz whenever she's not around, which is often. still struggling on getting those moth-traits down. nobody realizes anything's off until Eda sees her and immediately starts hissing like a cat who smelled something weird.

camilraeda my beloved,,,its too funny to NOT have it. Raine's just the local siren/vampire hybrid that can and will cause problems but in a less chaotic way. they all meet in completely different ways. Raine & Eda's is p obvious they're exes but CAMILA. Eda meets Camila bc of Luz and frequently yoinking her kid, meanwhile Raine meets Camila in a normal meet-cute in that they appeared at like a Starbucks early in the morning after pulling an all-nighter and finds Camila there, who also pulled an all-nighter. they get to talking via being the 2 most exhausted looking people there.

you can imagine how much they were spider-man memeing each other when the 3 of them all realized they knew each other

not really because i haven't really thought about it! and this isn't really my own worldbuilding, this is the general consensus from high fantasy media in general:

Warlocks in general have a reputation for being evil, practicing dark magic, and making pacts with "bad" forces - like demons! they're thought to be servants of evil & are not to be trusted. their magic is usually chaotic and wild, unlike wizardry and witchcraft with are more careful and controlled - and their magic is learned, whereas warlocks get their magic from a powerful entity via some form of payment (ex: their soul)

really, warlocks can be good or bad or somewhere in between like any magic user. but due to the nature/source of their powers, they're seen as evil. the rarity of them only adds to this, since many do indeed get corrupted by their patron - or they sought out their pact for less than savory reasons

anyways fantasy au details down here

ESSENTIALLY when i was on a rinhime kick i doodled this thinking about an au where rinne was actually a prince and himeru was like... his advisor

the fantasy au developed off this and now is. very different.

Essentially Rinne is a foxboy prince who keeps trying to runaway from his duties, and keeps bringing back special people to work in his retinue everytime.

First he brings home Niki, who took care of him when he didnt know Rinne literally owned the land he was staying on. Niki is formally a retainer and does know how to fight, but functionally hes a friend and personal chef.

Then he brings home Kohaku, a boy who was raised in isolation and has been put to work as a professional guard.

Lastly, he's brought home Himeru, a masked spy master. He works under a lot of disguises, and is often on recons with Kohaku because I love the idea of Himeru and Kohaku getting to do buddy cop adventures where they meet Madara. Rinne is horrifically jealous because he wants to do adventures SO BAD he cannot believe they're doing adventures without him. So he follows them a lot of the time.

Also!! Yes!! that is tatsumi!!! Essentially, Tatsumi is a cleric turned necromancer. He and Kaname used to be adventuring partners and he fully believes he killed Kaname, and took a dark turn trying to think of ways to bring him back. After all that effort, just seeing essentially the love of your life walking around masked has made him... really weird. He works under Eichi, with the rest of Alkaloid. He thinks Himeru is Kaname and also that theyre living dead, and is trying to reunite with them. Kaname is still alive though, because I'm obsessed with the idea of Tatsumi learning a dark art and warping himself when it was always pointless.

With the stuff youve said about FF, I'm wondering, did you ever watch Saiki K? If not, tldr it's about a teenage psychic with world shattering powers but he just wants to be average and goes to ridiculous lengths to encourage that image. At some point in the show Saiki becomes obsessed with another boy in his grade who IS somehow this painfully average, and tries to vicariously experience his averageness.

Yeup. I love that show! (I wish we'd get more dubbed because it'd probably be my white noise show of choice if I had more than one season to listen. Oh Restaurant to Another World I'll never escape your bizarre grasp on me.)
