How tragic would it be if I were the same exact person as yesterday?
In order to evolve we have to shed yesterday’s skin over and over again.

🚨 New Look: We are evolving, are you? 💋
Tumblr media
Hey beauties, it’s Leah, the owner of this blog. I’ve recently decided to change the logo of B.F.S again! Yes, I know what you could be thinking:
“I liked the logo before”
“Make up your mind!”
It was fine before”
or even “I didn’t really notice”
I was afraid that changing the logo meant I would confuse my audience or even turn some of them off but I came to the conclusion that this blog and brand is evolving! Our mission is still the same and the content will always be geared towards being a safe space for Black Woman to evolve! Into the woman of HER dreams and that is what The Black Feminine Society is all about, it’s about the journey!
We wanted a bold, sleek yet elegant and sexy design. Simplicity is key, it’s Classy Tip #3 for a reason 😉
I say all this to say:
Don’t be afraid to rebrand and evolve! Embracing change can be intimidating but it’s essential for growth. On your feminine journey you’ll find that you will feel the need to make some changes and that’s okay! Do what’s best for you! Don’t worry about anyone else, your tribe will find you because of your aura. Your unique energy and essence will naturally attract the right people into your life. Like a magnetic force, your aura will resonate with those who are destined to be a part of your tribe.
Your aura is like a vibrant, colorful beacon that radiates your true self. It is a reflection of your thoughts, emotions, and intentions. When you embrace your authenticity and stay true to who you are, your aura becomes even more powerful, drawing in those who align with your values and purpose.
Your tribe may not necessarily be a large group; it could be a few individuals who share your passion, dreams, and vision. They will support and uplift you, understanding your journey on a deep level. Together, you will create a harmonious energy, inspiring each other to grow and evolve.
Thank you for all your support throughout the years!
The Black Feminine Society is just getting started ✨
Xoxo,
Leah 💋

How to stay consistent with your habits
With January almost over already, many of our resolutions have proved short-lived as our motivation and good intentions fall by the waste side. This is my short guide to keeping focused throughout the year, learning and maintaining habits and reaching goals.
Reward good work
If you are staying consistent and meeting your goals regularly, try carving out a bit of time to play or celebrate your new wins. All work and no play makes it very difficult to stay motivated and enthusiastic about your goals and dream life. Make sure the process of improving yourself is enjoyable as well as efficient.
Review goals and adapt
Often we begin working towards a new goal and realise we actually don’t feel like that goal aligns with our dreams anymore. Instead of throwing in the towel, try to assess regularly if your goals are still part of your dreams, and try to adapt existing habits and behaviours to suit the needs of your new intentions. Often we are only changing our behaviour slightly, but it can be easy to write off all of our hard work in favour of a blank slate. Don’t waste your efforts by refusing to assess your progress.
Surround yourself with as many positive influences as possible
One of the biggest demotivating factors in our lives are negative or critical influences. Instead of trying to block out negative ideals and influences, try introducing new ones that align with your mindset. These will automatically push out the more negative or unhelpful voices and will reduce the pressure on you to defend your actions to others.
Allow yourself to fail
By allowing yourself to fail, you’re admitting that you are not perfect in whatever habit or skill you are trying to build. When you can finally accept that all progress takes time and failure, you will feel more comfortable practicing your habits openly in your life, and won’t feel as overwhelmed if you’re struggling.
As always, my advice is exactly that, please adapt all the information here to fit your life and your goals, everyone is different and our needs are different too.

I believe in always being open to learning. I see myself as a lifelong student, constantly seeking knowledge from the world around me. Every day, I strive to expand my understanding and gain wisdom. I am curious and eager to explore new experiences, ideas, and perspectives. I know that there is always more to learn and discover. As I continue on this journey, I reflect on myself and work towards personal growth. I understand that learning is a never-ending process, and I am dedicated to embracing the challenges and lessons that come my way. I want to keep exploring, questioning my beliefs, and becoming the best version of myself.

what’s this misconception that you have to put yourself through discomfort in order to experience growth. we hear people say all the time, “get out of your comfort zone.” but why? why force something instead of letting it happen naturally?
discomfort brings growth and change but so does pleasure and contentment.
most of us believe we have to race against the clock and constantly put ourselves in uncomfortable positions in order to experience growth. but the true reason that we are always in act mode, is the belief that we have to achieve so much early on. some of us may not notice this, but we are in constant competition mode. (be a millionaire before 25. get married before 30. buy a house before 22. “if i don’t do it now then i’ll never be able to. i’m running out of time.”)
we are always in action mode, striving to achieve, pushing ourselves and straining for approval, instead of enjoying our lives, our comfort zones and relaxation. being in the state of the rat race for too long without rest, is draining and exhausting.
in today’s society, there is shame and disapproval around being comfortable and at ease. many believe that if you aren’t constantly pushing yourself that you are lazy, wasting your time and can be doing something that is more productive and brings physical results. most of us give into this peer pressure and feel less important and somehow left behind. rest is crucial for everyone, but we often times neglect it because we want to keep up with society and our competition.
“Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.” - Confucius
change is inevitable and will happen no matter what you do, so why make it harder than it needs to be?
it is possible to both be comfortable and grow without straining and exhausting yourself. it is called gradual growth which means, a gradual change or process that occurs in small stages over a long period of time, rather than suddenly.
this process requires patience and taking things one step at a time. it requires you to do what you’re comfortable doing at the moment, even if it’s little in someone else’s eyes. your growth is not a competition, but it becomes one when you are comparing yourself to others and competing with societies standards of evolvement.
but everything, including you, has cycles.
nature stays still and always manages to evolve each season in due time.
all flowers go through their cycle of the seed, the sprout, the stem, the bloom and wilt. there is no rush or force in this process and the change is natural. the problem with us humans, is that we’re expected to always be in bloom mode. we ignore the other stages and cycles in our lives as unimportant. even the moon doesn’t force itself to be full every night. it goes through many phases every day and eventually will come back to being full. and once again this process is natural, comfortable and unforced.
learn honor your cycles as nature does. with patience everything aligns perfectly for you. stop comparing your growth to others. you will get where you need to in time. all that is meant for you will come. have patience and let situations in your life unfold naturally. it doesn’t need to be scary, or big, or strained or forced. the comfort zone isn’t your enemy.
