You're folding clothes into a suitcase in preparation for a business trip to Okinawa when your husband comes into the bedroom.

He lingers behind you with a solemn expression, hair brushing the top of the doorframe. If there's one thing he hates most, it's your business trips to Okinawa, because he can't ever tag along (and he's tried. He's clung to your leg at the airport before.)

It's just two days.

But those two days are two days too long for him. He watches you serenely packing your suitcase for a little while longer, his lips skewed into a sad curve, and then does what he always does when he's upset and slowly embraces your from behind.

"Angel." you jump a little. This man is as quiet and stealthy as a cat when he's sad. That's already a telling sign that he's upset — silence. Gojo Satoru is hardly a quiet man, especially around his wife.

"What's the matter?" you ask softly, still nimbly folding clothes with your hands. His arms vine around your tummy and he lowers his face to rest on your shoulder.

"Nothin'." he lies very unconvincingly. You can hear the lack of liveliness in his voice.

You turn around in his embrace. Lips still stuck in a sad curve, he looks down at you like a lost puppy. A tall, lanky, moody puppy of a man.

"C'mere." you beckon for him to lower himself into a kiss. He listens and when he feels the press of your lips, he melts like butter.

He licks his lips savoringly after you pull your face away. Feeling your hands cupping his cheeks is just what he needed right now.

"It's only for two days, Satoru. You're so dramatic." you tease.

He groans, "Two! Whole! Days! It annoys me. I wanna go with you so bad."

You tilt your head at him adoringly. Folding and packing has completely ceased, now you're giving full attention to your pouty husband and that makes him happy. He's relishing in it, bathing in the way you look at him with so much love.

"You know you can call me, right?" you tell him, calming his twittering nerves with each soothing touch across his shoulders and arms.

"But I want more than that. I want you right here." he groans and then does the most Gojo thing possible and purposefully topples his weight on you so you're pinned to the bed underneath him.

"S'toru, can't b-reathe!" you giggle shortly, feeling his body press to yours.

"I'm staying like this 'till the plane leaves 'n then you'll have to stay."

"You're ridiculous."

He smirks into your neck. "Call Nanami and tell him he's just gonna have to do all the work himself."

You laugh. Your husband rolls off to the side, realizing he's very slightly crushing you.

"So jealous." you remark. Gojo flares up defensively.

"I'm not jealous! — okay, a little — you know what yes! I am jealous! So fucking jealous."

You laugh again. He's furrowing his brows, clinging to your body like he does when he prepares to nap. A very cat-like posture. And then he paws for your attention.

"How did I marry such a damn goof." you tease.

"You married me because I'm a goof." he muttered.

"True. That was one of the first reasons I crushed on you."

His ears perked up. You'd began stroking your fingers through his hair, and he was relaxing against your body just soaking up the affection. "Oh really?" he smirks. "What were the other reasons, tell me."

You have to roll your eyes. He pesters you until you start telling him the long, long list of reasons why you fell in love with him. Gojo's smiling into your skin, happily listening and dozing off.

"Angel? Did you fall asleep? Of course you did." you sigh, looking at your half-filled suitcase and the clock; your plane was going to depart in an hour.

You know, I was just thinking about G's and Vic's routes, and just imagine if mc and G have an affair and G decides to get a divorce to be with mc, how Victoria would feel about that. Dedicating years of your life, your well being and mental health to this person just for them to cheat on you and then you be left alone.

And it is kinda funny and opposing that, if Vic engage in an affair with mc, it can be "justified" (or at least get more empathy from a public pov) because of the way G treats her, but at the same time I can imagine Vic getting canceled because she cheated on the most famous person alive rn

I know we still dont know much about G and their background and maybe this knowledge will change what I said above, but this thought came into my mind and I just wanted to share with you 🥲

It's true that Victoria is the more sympathetic character right now. I definitely feel like Victoria's actions in the affair are more "justified" for lack of better word. Victoria has given so much of herself to G that she was bound to snap eventually. Unfortunately, persona benefits G greatly. People love G. No matter what happens, most people will be on G's side just because they have more fans. Even if they were to divorce on amicable terms, Victoria would be villainized. She knows this.

I can't say G is completely oblivious to this and doesn't use it to their advantage. I don't want to believe that G is that cruel (she says as if she isn't the literal author lol) but....G can be cruel without intentionally meaning to be.* They get into self-preservation mode and they can't control who they hurt in order to save them from themself.

Anyway. Your question wasn't really a question and my answer wasn't really an answer but it's nice to talk about ValenReign like this. I get a lot of inspiration from real life relationships I've experienced as I was growing up. Granted, no one was famous, but it's interesting (and sad) to see how self-destructive people can be when forced into a corner...

As an aside, I was listening to Norman Fucking Rockwell (10/10 song) while writing this and it's super fitting in a way. Especially the line, Why wait for the best when I could have you? SO Victoria coded...

✨Top 5!✨ Words can't even fully capture how much I adore this scene right here. 😭 But I'll try. - I am so grateful for it and for Danai for being a big reason why we got this moment. This is such a significant scene, especially because it’s Rick and Michonne’s final exchange of dialogue before Rick’s departure. And what a perfectly fitting, stunningly beautiful way to land their love story until they’re reunited again. The family and true love Rick and Michonne know they found within each other will always move me. And I know this scene is a hallucination, but listen, Michonne said it’s real, so it’s real to me too 😌...

I'll always love that Michonne is Rick’s final hallucination in his final full episode. It’s such a confirmation that she truly is home to him.

As I noted in my Reveling in Richonne post on this scene, the final stretch of a journey is often the most draining and challenging to get through, and it’s there when you need to tap into the most powerful source of strength and reflect on what most fuels you to keep going, so, of course, Rick's mind went to the ever-so-important love of his life - Michonne.

And I love how any time we’ve seen Michonne in Rick’s mind, she's always this glowing, calming, goddess-like presence. No wonder Rick looks at her like she hung the moon and the stars all the time. 😊

It’s sweet seeing that while Rick's mind conjured up all the living people he loves on this bridge, it’s Michonne whom he envisions having a personal moment with. He needs her. And she’s so reassuring when she tells him it’s gonna be okay.

The real Michonne is going to be understandably distraught when she sees Rick bleeding out on this bridge, but here Rick imagined her as the calm, comforting, and life-giving presence she’s always been to him.

And then it’s powerful for Rick to tell Michonne to take care of tf because he’s again passing the torch. Similar to him telling her she’d have to be the one to lead the others forward in Say Yes, Rick clearly believes so strongly that his people will be in good hands with Michonne as the leader. He knows this because he’s been in good hands with her as his leader. 🥲

And what a testament to Rick's trust and belief in her that he could know that this thing he’s dedicated his life to - protecting his people - is something that Michonne can continue. And as he thinks he's dying, it's like this moment is Rick personally finding solace in that Michonne will continue to hold things together if he doesn't make it.😭

Michonne encourages him, instilling faith that he'll get through this, and I always love the moment where Rick vulnerably says, "I can’t" because he’s always been allowed to be so human with her. I love that she says confidently, "You will, it’s not over," and it's just so believable when she says it.

And then, I have many favorite parts in this one scene, but the following part is particularly special because it is my favorite visual of Rick and Michonne of all time.

Like if you told me I could only ever look at one visual of Richonne again it would be this one right here where Rick and Michonne stare right into each other's souls as her eyes instill this blazing strength in him.

BREATHTAKING. 🤩😍🤗 It’s just beyond powerful and beautiful to me and perfectly illustrates the relationship and depth and strength of these soulmates so well. What this gorgeous power couple gives to each other is one of a kind. And as always, this moment is literally and figuratively magnetic. 🧲

I love that Michonne tells Rick adamantly, "We don’t die" as a motivating rendition of "We’re the ones who live" and a graphic novel nod. And again, when Michonne speaks, you just believe it.

I remember watching this live, unsure if Rick would survive or not, but when she said this I was like alright it is written, my baby Rick doesn’t die, cuz Michonne is always right...

But I also love her saying "we don't die" for its figurative meaning, as truly the love Richonne found with each other is endless and will never die.

And I adore that Rick looks her right in the eyes and nods, hearing and believing her even despite the odds and the pain. All versions of Rick can hear Michonne and allow her words to reach him.

Then there’s this wonderful moment where Rick is about to exhaustedly hang his head and Michonne lovingly takes his face in her hands to both physically and emotionally lift him up. The movement just feels so symbolic of how she will not let him stay defeated and low. She always lifts him up like only she can.

I get teary over this whole scene, especially because of how powerful it is to see Rick have someone who can hold him up like this even in his toughest moments.

And because Michonne always knows what to say, she then brings the focus back to one of the most motivating, important, and inspiring things in their life - their love.

When Michonne asks Rick, "You wanna know why I fell in love with you?" in that lovely tender tone, I was gagged then and I'm still gagged now. Like you would think one of us pitched this moment. 😋 It’s just so romantic, and I am forever elated that Rick and Michonne got to directly discuss their incredible love in their final conversation.

(Also, again, you really can't watch this scene and then be surprised that TOWL is being called an epic love story. I repeat - Richonne's story has always been an epic love story. 😌)

At this moment on this bridge, where Rick needs the ultimate fuel to keep fighting, this is his own mind focusing specifically on the love supreme he found with Michonne - his guiding light, who has kept him going so many times before. Eternally here for it. 🙌🏾🥹

One of the many things that chokes me up about this gorgeous moment is when I stop to think about the start of Rick's TWD journey.

When we were first introduced to Rick he had a wife who wasn't sure if she was still in love with him and caught legitimate feelings for his best friend. And that very best friend ultimately plotted to kill Rick and told him his own family would move on from him because "they've done it before." Like that's so painful.

But then, in the wildest of circumstances - an apocalypse - Rick found a wife and a best friend all in one. He found the ultimate love of his life. He found Michonne - whose love for him runs so deep, so visible, and so certain always.

And where his hallucinations of Lori were more tormenting, here Rick is hallucinating his wife Michonne and envisioning her enveloping him in her consistent and unwavering love that has always meant the world to him.

And as Rick's mind imagines Michonne bringing up their love on this bridge, it's him in the potential final moments of his life also thinking about how honored he is to have loved her and been loved by her. 🥹

So after Michonne asks if he wants to know why she fell in love with him, it is so extremely moving the way Rick intently looks at her with a tear, eager for the answer.

And Michonne stays holding his face up as she tells him with conviction that she fell in love with him, "Because you're a fighter and you never give up." 😭 Exquisite. To see Rick be showered with this love and praise from his true love is just everything and more.

You can really tell that for Rick in this exact moment the only thing he's thinking about is her. Not the pain, not the turmoil, not the past or the future - just his wife's love.

And it's cool because in one of my Reveling in Richonne posts from years ago, I was analyzing that season 4 finale scene with Michonne in the car with Carl while she listened to Rick talk to Daryl outside. And I felt like that scene in the car and their special "Cuz I'm Okay Too' scene were signs that Michonne was falling in love with Rick, especially after Rick showed how far he'd go to protect his son in contrast to her previous partner. This is what I wrote way back then:

"Like she needs someone who won’t give up and she saw firsthand that Rick doesn’t give up, especially when his son is involved. And so I think this is when she starts really thinking of Rick differently."

The fact that years after that post, Michonne straight-up tells Rick she fell in love with him because he’s a fighter who doesn’t give up made me even more confident that my love timeline theory is pretty accurate and that I was on track with my studies in getting a Ph.D. in Richonne. 😂

She fell in love with him way back then. I mean, Danai has even said Michonne has been in love with Rick for a long time. (And I bet if Rick were to tell Michonne when he fell in love with her, it would suggest it was around season 4 as well.)

In this s9 hallucination, I love that Rick gets this uplifting encouragement from the woman he loves and has long been in awe of and that her words so clearly breathe life into him. Michonne has always breathed life into Rick, so it's only fitting that she did it one more time in this series.

And then I really love that she tells Rick, "Fight for me." 🥹 Oh it's perfect. It’s just touching knowing this is Rick’s mind telling him to fight for her. Fight for his wife. Fight for Michonne, the most important person in his life apart from his kids. 💯

I'm willing to bet that during the years that Rick's been taken away from Michonne and Judith, the words "fight for her" likely played in his head often and helped keep him going.

(Side note: This moment and "fight for me" line right here should tell everyone watching that Michonne is in a category of her own to Rick. It shouldn't need to be clarified cuz it's so obvious. But for anyone that still needed clarification, I love that TWD & TOWL promo has set the record straight (time & time again, amen) that Rick's wife and kid(s) are his ultimate choice. As I've noted before, one thing I've long known and long-loved about that man Rick Grimes is he gon' make it about Michonne every time and make sure everybody else knows what we've known for years - His wife and his kids are his everything. I'm not against a reunion with some of team family eventually, especially a reunion with Daryl after he watched over Richonne's kids - but I also just know viewers demanding to see all these different friends (and even enemies 😪) on screen with Rick again does not automatically mean Rick needs it. Within the actual story that we've been watching of Rick Grimes since the pilot episode of TWD, we can be confident that reuniting with his immediate family - Michonne, Judith, and RJ to be clear - will take precedence. As TWD has said, reuniting with each other is the only goal - as it should be when a man's been taken from his wife and kid(s). 👌🏽 While I haven't seen TOWL yet {which ahhh we're so close 🤗}, I've been quite positive for literal years that while Rick's been away, he's felt like all he is anymore is a man looking for his wife and child...And anyone who has got in the way of that is gonna lose.)

Rick knows that despite the pain and exhaustion on this bridge he has to keep fighting for the love of his life. And it makes so much sense why Michonne would fall in love with the fighter within him.

And then Michonne says, "Fight for all of us," because team family is of course important to them too. It's just Rick is a whipped man, see, and so even here there's this subtle aspect where Rick is staring straight at Michonne and really only looks to the side once Michonne turns to face the others. 😋

But then, as Rick does best, he puts his attention right back on Michonne and just warms my heart completely when he looks at her and says, “You’re my family. I found you.” Gospel truth and Utter Perfection. 😭

I adore how s9 Rick was just so vocal about his reverence and love for Michonne every chance he got, even in hallucinations. 🤩 And it is so sweet that in his final exchange with Michonne, and really his final dialogue with anyone, Rick gets to look at her and cherish finding family through her.

And with what a family man Rick is and has been since season 1, it is truly the greatest treasure in the world that, even after losing all his family from before the apocalypse, he still found a genuine family that became his life's fuel.

I love the way Rick places a hand on Michonne's shoulder to really emphasize that he found family in her.

It is so great that in this 9.05 episode where Rick is repeatedly talking about needing to find his family, his mission since s1, we get this lovely declaration that Michonne is so much of who he was always looking for. 🥹

And what a beautiful way he found her both in their actual life journey and in his mind’s mental journey this ep.

Michonne’s tear as she smiles and again affirms him and says, "You did." Just beautiful and melts my heart.

Andy and Danai did a masterful job depicting the immense love Rick and Michonne have for each other in this scene. They always have, and of course, their final scene delivered on another level. 👏🏽👑

Truly this has been a stunning love story from the moment they laid eyes on each other in season 3 all the way to this s9 moment here (+ their s11 finale moment) - and now beyond as we look forward to Richonne's story continuing. 🤩🙌🏾

It’s heartbreaking that after a moment of such love and warmth, Rick then has to acknowledge that this exchange isn't actually happening in real life. He says, "But this isn't real", and then I will forever love that Michonne assuredly says, "Yes it is." 👏🏽

It is real. What they found with each other is real. The abundant love emitted between them in this scene is real. I feel like had Michonne actually been able to get to him on this bridge, the exchange could have gone similar to this (but like a lil more frantic probably cuz she'd be anxious to get him some medical help) But in many ways how Rick is picturing their love playing out here is so real and accurate.

So I love that Michonne got to confirm that the love and family she and Rick found in each other is real in any dimension. Since this is all in Rick's mind, it's like this is his mind also deciding that everything in this moment is real and something he has to fight for when he wakes up.

Then Rick and Michonne seal the moment with their precious final kiss within the TWD series and it's another perfect example of true love's kiss. Y'all this really is a love story for the ages and I’ll never stop shouting that from the rooftops. It’s beautiful. 🥰

It's fitting for Rick to imagine her kissing him and breathing life into him one more time because 🎵these are a few of his favorite things🎵. And if he's dying then Michonne's love is what his mind wants to remember before he goes.

(Also I wish the real Michonne got to know that on this bridge Rick was imagining her empowering him and kissing him one last time. 😭)

Finally, Michonne tells Rick to wake up, and the resilient king does as she wishes, notably without knocking out like he did the other times he hallucinated people, which to me is a nice subtle way to suggest there was something more real about Richonne's exchange than his previous hallucinations.

This scene is just gorgeous and touching and emotional and a lovely ode to what makes Richonne so special. We really are spoiled cuz we’re fed with gourmet content in each and every scene. And this scene was a feast and the perfect exchange to close out Richonne on the show. #I'mGrateful

Had this moment legitimately been their last exchange ever it would have done Richonne justice. Fortunately, though, we've finally arrived at a point where this won't be the last exchange between them. 🥳🙌🏽 Soon, this 9.05 scene will have to be referred to as Rick and Michonne's 'final convo in TWD,' because more Richonne content is coming. And this is why...

In this Top 5 moment from Rick's last full TWD ep (where Andy and Danai gave a masterclass in each scene they had both together and apart 👏🏽) I adore that this final intimate exchange between them served as a reminder that Rick and Michonne fell in love, that they don’t die, and that what they found in each other is a beautiful family that is forever real and everlasting. The ultimate win.

I will always celebrate that Rick and Michonne found the truest family in each other and that they will soon find each other again. 😌

I fully agree with Laito and Rukis comment, i do see Ruki easier to "redeem" himself rather than Laito because the latter one has some deep traumas and he has convinced himself that he will never be able to move past that and change. I've seen Ruki improve a lot in the games, even his attitude towards Yui. As for Laito, he becomes better especially on DF but will immediately revert back to his old self or get back inside his shell the second he gets hurt, given the fact hes a very sensitive person(as stated by Reiji ). As for the evil part, both had their sins🥲 although i do consider Laitos sins to be at a greater scale because unlike his other brothers, he specializes in emotional abuse and likes to drive his victims insane , therefore i think hes scarier in most situations. In my personal opinion hes the scariest among his brothers, that man holds grudges for so long😅 and he always stalks or knows every possible location of Yui

From my point of view, Rejet never really wanted to redeem Laito but I actually really like that?? I mean… let’s be honest, love can’t solve Laito’s problems and it’s realistic how they didn’t suddenly make him move on only because he got the girl. It takes years for a person as mentally damaged as Laito to heal or maybe that’s even an impossible scenario. However, it’s very true that Laito made big progress. He became more moral and occasionally human-like, yet it’s obvious how he still got issues. I believe Laito’s charm lays in his complexity; he might not be “pure white prince Ayato” but he’s definitely the most interesting character and whoever disagrees with this probably just can’t understand his routes.

As for Ruki… while his debut game route had some really unfair moments, I wouldn’t go as far as to say that he was straight up a horrible love interest. I honestly liked how he admitted his sins and betrayed Karlheinz. Besides, I understood why he accepted the decision of his brothers when they wanted to run away with Yui in their routes, despite the fact that he thought Karlheinz wouldn’t have liked that. Unfortunately, due to the new writers, I feel like he became one of the most inconsistent characters. In some routes he’s such a good and understanding brother despite acting strict, whereas in other routes he’s a literal MENACE. The scene, in which he got caught with planned murder but started smiling afterward was so unsettling (and it wasn’t even from a bad ending) —— Other than that, he’s a really entertaining character because you never really know his next move and I like how everyone is aware that he’s a snake yet some characters still manage to be manipulated by him… they must be dumber than I thought, lol.

feeling iffy on the egg merch because on the one hand lumi said that she hasn't been contacted about getting paid with the proceeds from the merch but on the other hand it does make sense to an extent. if they say you will get x% of the proceeds, and then that specific egg doesn't sell as well, which would suck. or for the eggs that have had multiple admins getting an exact percent would be difficult, so i understand them not getting an exact number for their likliness. but also would it be that hard to confirm a portion of the merch revenue (general) would be? i'd like to assume it is but im not confident

unfortunate because i did want to buy one if it was confirmed to be going to them.

My thoughts on egg merch are :

-First it’s important to remember that it was in the works way before the admins situation was revealed (this was confirmed by the artist and also it’s easy to guess simply because of the time it takes to design/produce merch).

This means 3 things : That it wasn’t a direct response to the « how do we pay admins » question, that for this very reason we don’t know if revenue will go towards their salary, and also that the merch release is most likely not some PR move to make people forget about what’s happening with a shiny new thing (I’ve seen people have that theory and while I agree timing is horrible you just can come up with merch that quickly).

-Second, IF the revenue from the merch goes towards the admins who stayed (and I hope it does), I agree that it shouldn’t be on a system like you get X% of the revenue of YOUR egg. Not only because pay would then be very popularity reliant but also bc as you said, how does that work when a character was played by multiple admins or by an admin that left the studio

-Imo, the way to go is to just use all the revenue, regardless of which figure generated more, and put it in a fund that can be used to help pay ALL admins, regardless of who they played, and that’d include also builders, writers, community managers, devs, translators….

One sad thing that most likely will stay true no matter what they end up doing is that the money generated by the likability of some eggs will never go towards the people who made said character likeable in the first place because they quit/were fired. That’s why I personally won’t buy any of the merch (that and 35$ a piece ? I don’t have that kind of cash 🥲).

However I don’t think anyone should judge or be unkind to people who buy the merch, there is no point to do so, especially if it’s later revealed that the funds will help pay remaining admins fairly.

Kpop is just an industry not genre. They release songs in different genres.. especially BTS have a wide variety of genres.

For me, I know many kpop groups... know as in just know their names. And some of the very popular members. I listen to kpop songs I vibe with.. but that doesn't mean I stan them or even take an effort to atleast checkout who are the members. Maybe it's one song I like or maybe it's many of their title songs. For eg. Seventeen. I like their 'SUPER' but I can only identify few members of that group. But for TWICE I know most of their title songs and knows members too but except watching their performances like watching a pretty performance I don't have any other connection with members. I don't listen to any groups regularly nor watch any of their vareity contents.

Mostly because even after listening to their songs none of them were intresting enough to check out more about them... It's not that I'm purposefully doing it lol...but just that they don't intrest me much. Now even if I watch some variety contents, in my mind I automatically compare them to bangtan shows because wow the difference is so clear just like the difference in year end shows we watched 🥲💀

Yesterday I watched a skz code episode of straykids with my sister who's a stay. Ik many people enjoy it.. but for me it felt wayyyy to dry and scripted. For eg. They were at a country side for a break, cooking and camping. Now what have we watched in Bon voyage countryside episode? Them wearing minimal or even no makeup, wearing regular clothes suitable for cold climate, each doing their own jobs and cooking delicious looking meals. That's what we've been watching all these years... our standard. And what I saw here ? 8 boys who are styled like they are about to perform on stage with pretty jewelery and designer clothing. Playing football or volleyball to decide who will do each job and cooked some plain af food.. I'm not even exaggerating when I say that chicken was plain af 😭. It was like a cultural shock for me who watched JK taking a lot effort to cook sauces or Tae waking up with drool on his chin or Jimin wearing his puffy jacket and beanie.

So yeah.. till now only bangtan broke that artist vs casual listener barrier for me. They are the most rich, most successful artists in kpop but my broke ass can only relate to them 😭🤡 I can't relate to an idol who's looking like he's on stage to perform while doing a simple live when here I'm seeing JK's 4 hours kinda live.

I agree that it's an industry, but it's also a genre, think about it. Although it's true that K-pop is a blend of many genres, influences, and sounds, there's something intrinsic to them, and indeed, that's one of the differences between BTS and many of their peers, which is why many consider BTS in a different category, and some are even bolder in considering them an entirely different genre, at least compared to their peers in Korea.

When you're so immersed in this, as many of us are, it's normal to learn about the industry, which means learning the names of other groups. I can mention the names of many groups, but I couldn't identify a specific member, much less one of their songs, even if I've heard one of their songs before.

The point is, it's not that we don't believe these other groups are talented or don't have good songs; the issue is that what they have doesn't interest us. And it's not that we don't want to give them a chance; it's that what we've seen hasn't been enough to want to give them one. That's not our problem.

I understand regarding variety content. It has happened to me too; on TikTok, several times I've seen clips that are funny and catch a bit of my attention, but when I look for the full video, I get bored after the first minute, and like you, I can't help but make comparisons with BTS's variety content. Is it fair? I don't know, but that's what ends up happening.

For most of the fandom, the most important thing is the music, the connection to BTS's music, but it's also them. It's the sincerity in their words when talking about the fandom. It's everything they've done for their fandom. It's the fact that, to some extent, they've always been honest with us and have shown us their true selves. And being a bit cynical, it's the fact that they've organically known how to nurture the social relationship the fandom has with them.

HEY WHAT'S UP PEOPLE!! So sorry for being kinda inactive within the Cleon/Resident Evil fandom. BUT GUESS WHAT?!

THEY ALL ARE IN 1 MOVIE! And it's like one big reunion😭.

This is not a drill, guys.

I REPEAT. THIS. IS. NOT. A . DRILL.

Fans have been asking for Ada/Carlos/Billy/Sheva/Barry or basically every other RE characters to be in a movie TOGETHER. But this is just the beginning, folks. Let Capcom takes some baby steps cause I can see their effort in trying to hear us. On the other hand, we should be grateful for what we have right now (AKA THIS) rather than nothing at all.

I never once thought that Capcom would do this and making our wish comes true! We've been waiting for a long time. Even YEARS for this😭.

However I'd appreciate a more polite wording for next time :(

• there are several ways you could have met Luke before he left for his adventures in ANH

• the most common I usually come across is of you growing up together and eventually developing feelings for each other

• that's also most likely in my opinion since there isn't exactly something like tourism on Tatooine

• or a market for good housing opportunities

• still, outside of this idea I have some more

• maybe, for whatever reason, you and your family come to live near where Luke does out of necessity

• I don't know what you would have to do to end up in that kind of situation but potentially you need a place to hide for some time, similarly to Obi-Wan

• I also could see you as part of a little smuggler crew making a stop for business and staying to watch some pod races

• I imagine those to be fun when you're not the one potentially dying

• but maybe you even want to participate yourself because you desperately need money or lost a bet

• maybe you've come looking for someone to get back at them because they still owe you money/information/etc.

• basically, you're either suffering a hard life or are a criminal, is what I'm saying

• (or both, not gonna lie)

• it's possibly for your relationship to be one of true feelings

• especially if you grew up together

• maybe though you've always just acknowledged each others presence and it turns into a simple and practical opportunity to discover your sexuality

• there is not much going on on your planet after all and I imagine you get to know all the people your age pretty fast

• (probably at Tosche station, where Luke picks up the famous power converters)

• so if you're lucky and there's a person you like, or think you could grow to like, better secure them before someone else snatches them away

• in that regard it doesn't matter if it's just for a friendship with the added bonus of occasionally fooling around or something actually romantic

• he can't believe he got so lucky

• I imagine he has difficulty keeping eye contact at first, it makes his stomach feel funny and he doesn't know how to deal with it

• often his gaze will shoot up and lowers just as quickly again, obviously he doesn't want to miss seeing your face from up close

• he probably has lots of day dreams

• and you better believe you are playing a/THE major role in them too

• it starts with very innocent things like simply holding hands, you resting your head on his shoulder, kissing your cheek

• or your lips!!!

• OR his personal favorite, seeing your beautiful smile directed at him

• alternatively he thinks about marriage (he's a hopeless romantic) and having your own farm like his aunt and uncle do, growing old together

• at the same time he wants to leave Tatooine with you as soon as possible, to travel and explore the galaxy

• in the end he decides it doesn't really matter what your future will look like as long as you will be by his side

• there is absolutely no way he never stumbled across porn on the holonet though

• possibly he looked it up on purpose

• and suddenly he has an even harder time (lol) in your presence because he can't keep his mind off what you may look like naked

• no matter what he does, he can't get these thoughts out of his head

• he keeps wondering if your skin is as soft and smooth as it looks

• if your hair tickles

• how you smell

• he wants to explore every part of you

• you aren't necessarily his sexual awakening but maybe the first person he seriously wants to share more intimate moments with

• to his dismay he keeps having wet dreams and waking up hard in the morning

• I see him feeling kind of guilty

I’m writing my first fic for a fest and I was so excited about it. But I reread what I wrote so far and it’s just soooo bad 😭 I can’t think of anyone reading it, specially because english is not my first language and I fear my writing is not natural or fluid enough.

Do you have any advice on how can I take my mind out of this though and just write for pleasure as I used to? 🥲

Hey, love 💕

I’m sorry this took me awhile to answer. (I’m also not the most eloquent right now, I’m sorry.) Honestly, it’s a little funny that you chose to ask me this question, because I’m notorious for being very, very in my head about my writing and being consistent about quality.

To be fair to that, and to you, I’m going to try and give you a handful of answers, from different perspectives. They can be taken together or separately or not at all, whatever suits.

First, most importantly, and most pragmatically:

1. Get a beta you trust.

I know the face of this fandom has changed, I know content creation has dwindled and that less and less people are able to support writers this way, but honestly, for me, this is more important than almost anything about the writing process, and especially so if you’re writing in your second, third, fourth language. There are just too many nuances to language and verbiage, and it helps so much for someone to say “I know what you meant here, but it doesn’t read like that.”

(I don’t believe in ever letting my work go unbeta-ed, no matter how confident I feel in the raw work or the language, because of course I know what I meant to say — I’m the writer. I need some to firmly (but kindly) check that the audience understands it as well.)

Betas also help in terms of managing self-criticism, because being hard on yourself is just not always something you can change, especially if you care about the story and skill-building. A good beta will help by either saying “it’s not bad, you’ve just read it too often, put it down” or “why do you think it’s bad exactly” and help you improve it.

Second, on the concept of writing for pleasure:

2. Just because something is hard doesn’t mean it’s not fun.

People often mistake “fun” for “easy”; I don’t think it’s the same. I think when you enjoy something and are passionate about it, it’s going to cost you and force you to push yourself. There’s no such thing as “low-stakes passion”, that’s just incongruous. (Marathon runners don’t keep running races that are easy for them. They progress because they like it — process, challenges, rewards, everything.)

Similarly, you clearly write because you love it. But if you’re getting to the point where you’re cognizant enough to be self-critical, that means you’re improving. It means there are things you want to convey that your skill doesn’t allow you to yet.

Hold on to that, because that’s motivation. It means that you love something enough that you’re consumed with doing it justice. That tension is not a bad thing; that’s where a hobby turns into a passion and the solution is not about regressing back to something low-stakes — it’s about finding out how to bridge the gap between your skill and your ambition.

And third, focused on the output:

3. Focus on how much you want your story to exist.

Most of the time, writing is a long game. It’s about consistency and effort and focus and discipline, and all of those things are tiring as fuck.

It’s so much easier to bang out a drabble and get the validation, and move onto the next “fun” idea. And that’s totally fine, except for when you want this particular story to exist this particular way.

I’ve found that’s the only thing that pushes me to stay motivated and devoted to writing — the thought that I just want this story to exist and I don’t want to live in a world where it doesn’t.

My boss always says this thing: “let the content lead”, and I think that’s true of writing. If you’re focused on weaving this idea into something tangible, if that’s mainly what drives you, the relationship stays between you and the story (not the story and it’s external reception) and that can alleviate the pressure a lot, because you shift into writing to fulfill an internal goal, and as long as that story exists, you’ve achieved that.

I guess what I’m trying to say is, I think all of your concerns are valid. You have a very practical issue: the language barrier, that needs a very practical solution: a beta. But you’re also hitting a moment of growth in terms of your writing, and I don’t want you to look at that hurdle and assume it means you need to turn around. Things can be hard and also fun, and I wouldn’t want the fandom to miss out on this version of this story that can only be written by you just because you’ve outgrown your current skill set.

Lastly, and I think this is really important: remember that this is never going to be your last fic. So if it’s not perfect — if it’s not exactly the way you want it to be at the end — write another one that’s better, and another, and another. There’s room in this fandom for every version of you as a writer, and your chances to improve and represent yourself better are infinite. Write what you can write now, and then write something better later. 🩷

they're both overworkers who hate seeing the other overwork themselves, so in the beginning they're both constantly reminding with each other to stop working so much, while simultaneously working too much

zhao thinks lucifer has it harder because he sucks at paperwork so he can't fathom having to do that much; lucifer thinks zhao has it harder because he cannot imagine doing all that housework while simultaneously wrangling his brothers, even if he's good at it

lucifer is always telling zhao off for doing all the household chores for his younger brothers, because they will absolutely take advantage of his willingness to help if they've got something else to be doing

the only exception is satan, who determinedly does his share of the chores and scolds the others when they try pawning theirs off on the poor guy

belphie does do it as well but he always feels super bad afterwards

(zhao acting as stepdad to satan and belphie especially has now become canon To Me if you haven't noticed yet)

one time they accidentally swapped glasses but somehow didn't notice, even though zhao's eyesight is significantly worse than lucifer's

zhao has this problem where his blood pressure drops like a ROCK if he goes too long without eating, but he's usually very good about managing it. keyword being usually: one time he lost track and passed out because he stood up too fast

this has never happened since because lucifer (though he was very good at hiding it at the time) panicked so hard that the incident is burnt into his memory and now he's hyper-vigilant about it

it's kind of ironic that this is lucifer's first relationship and zhao's second, given a demon vs human lifespan

lucifer's not really sure how to feel about it. on the one hand, the idea of ik's mother coming back into the picture does make him seethe a little bit, but on other, he trusts that zhao wouldn't be with him if he hadn't fully moved on

i've mentioned before that zhao doesn't realise he's bi until he's in the devildom - to elaborate on that, at first he was just like "woa...... handsome men" and thought it was a completely normal thing. you know, just appreciating good looks when you see it

then the handsome men started being good with his daughter and he was like "...wait a minute"

now zhao thinks his husband is the most beautiful man in the entire world, and while this is heightened by, yknow, love, it's also true that lucifer's just an objectively good-looking guy

meanwhile he considers himself very plain by comparison, and is he is indeed pretty average by societal standards

HOWEVER. if you're into the pathetic shabby dad look. which lucifer is, apparently. he might just be the hottest guy you've ever met

lucifer did not realise he had a type before this

particularly in the early stages of their relationship, the others learn not to let either of them talk for too long interrupted in council meetings because they just start staring at each other and not doing any work

zhao has a habit of accidentally doing something kind of suggestive without thinking of how they could be taken - one time he undid the first few buttons on lucifer's shirt because he was worried about him being uncomfortable in that formal getup, and lucifer thought about it for the ENTIRE rest of the day

i think lucifer in general is just so.... hang on i need to look some stuff up in urban dictionary

down bad? is that the term?? anyway we all know what he's like in-game so. yeah that's elevated here

anyway zhao's accidentally made a habit of calling him 'good boy' and lucifer has to physically restrain himself every time lol
