I am quite frankly disappointed in Quackity Studios for continuing to prioritize running the server over communicating with and compensating their ex and (some) current employees. It's made it so that when I see people talking about what's happening on the server, I can only think of the people who were taken advantage of and abused by the company.

I generally think things are going well behind the scenes and judging by the fact that both Chayanne and Llulah are back so I’m assuming things are rightfully being sorted

(then again Chayanne & Llulahs admins haven’t really been involved in a lot of drama so I’m assuming that’s why they are back)

My best wishes go out to the ex-admins and I do generally hope theses things are being sorted out according behind the scenes.

Obviously they want us to trust that everything is okay behind the scene by bringing back Chayanne and Tallulah like "See? They're back! And theyre doing lore!! So dont worry!" And i want to believe that but I don't understand why they can't just. Make an official announcement. Not make people guess what they mean. Stop the entertainement train for 2 seconds to actually confirm that changes happened.

Why is the returning of previously unpaid employees with no actual confirmation that they are paid now treated like a fun lore moment? Why is every important decision always announced in such an indirect manner? Why do we have to guess their intentions and make a leap of faith every time something new happens?

I mean I know the answer, this is to keep the fans hooked, not reminding fans of the studio's mistakes and let the streamers who put all their eggs in the QSMP basket (ha) continue creating interesting content on the mostly empty server... but why does this take priority over contacting the people that were exploited?

They could have had both. They could have had this "the show must go on" attitude without ghosting all the victims. They could have tried to make it less public without relying on the fans'past attachment to the project to keep trusting them.

We are not privy to any detail, but if we had had confirmation from ex admins that they were being heard and would be solving things privately, i would have accepted it and trusted the process. But alas, that's not what happened... (maybe it's happening rn but our last update was apparently from sunnys admin 4 days ago saying that they had no update, so you know)

I've definitely lost all faith in Quackity Studios actually doing the right thing here. I don't even know if they could at this point: I don't think they have the organization or budget that is required to properly pay their former workers and rebuild any semblance of trust with the people they have ostracized, abused, and disappointed. I would love to be wrong but I just don't see this happening.

It was an ambitious project that went too far too soon: without a clear way to financially support itself it still continued to bring on new people that it had no intention of paying despite promising that they would eventually be compensated for their time. They focused too much on making things new, exciting, bigger than ever before, when they easily could have (and imo should have) stepped back and let the extremely talented ccs and admins they already had take the reins and steer the servers story in a much more organic way.

I'll always love the positive things the qsmp was able to accomplish: the connections made by ccs and by fans that would have never happened without it, the amazing story lines that the ccs developed, the proof of concept that real time in-game translation can break down so many language barriers in an incredible way. But knowing that all of this stood on the backs of under and unpaid workers, pushed to work hard with unrealistic demands and unfair, hypocritical rules and restrictions, has definitely tainted the server.

I am not kidding when I say y’all have to keep pressuring Quackity Studios about the worker rights violations and properly compensating their employees or they will sweep this under the rug. The fact they’re prioritizing running the server over getting their shit together and distracting y’all with content is like the most basic tactic a company can use to avoid accountability and some of you are falling for it

anyways imma stop talking about the live stuff for awhile,

i hope that because we are seeing two admins acting as eggs and they seem like they’re the same admins as before, that these admins at least are alright and taken care of.

but i really and extremely hope that all the egg admins (and all other workers) will be okay and taken care of but we won’t know in full for awhile.

i am NOT asking ANYONE to wait or be patient, yeah no i won’t do that. but i’m just saying i personally want to hope but just in case i’ll stop posting about it all for now. i just really missed them :/

Quackity is giving some updates about QSMP structural changes:

- He has been on many calls and reading comments, but is still not done.

- People who were in charge some of the financial and administrative wrong doings were fired.

- The QSMP wouldn't last much longer if I had kept going the way I was doing.

- He is basically restarting the administration almost from zero

- There won't be more individual update accounts for each creator or each language at least for a while

- There won't be any eggs or npcs **TEMPORARILY**

-Creators will be in charge of their own lore and the team is not going to intervene in that anymore

- The competitive level is going to slow down

- The server will be in basic terms

- The server might be re opened but that doesn't mean everything is fixed

I think it's important for people that aren't from the US to know that quackity having his address doxxed isn't just dangerous because crazy fans might show up at his door.

It is incredibly dangerous for any cc that lives in the US to have their address leaked because they can be swatted with just a 911 call, and it can happen more then one time.

I greatly suggest watching qtcinderella's interview with anthony padilla where she specifically talks about multiple experiences with swatting, that were so bad she got actual ptsd from them.

It is extremely important to note that qt and ludwig are white and this is how traumatizing those experiences were for them, even with their privilage. Quackity is not a white man, quackity is a mexican man, living in a country with a police force known for their racism and xenophobia, which has actively gotten many innocent people killed simply because of their race or where they came from. Swatting is danger for any cc, but for quackity it is even more so.

So no, what happened to quackity wasn't just a tiny oopsy daisy, as accidental as it may have started, and I think people that try to justify it or dismiss it are disgusting and I please ask that you stay away from this blog.

I guess I just feel like there’s not enough consideration of exactly how many people have been fucked over by the actions of a few malicious people.

The qsmp admins got so supremely fucked over by this and continue to get fucked over with this mess. They’re left in the dark about so much and that’s a terrible feeling to have. My heart goes out to all of you because you wanted to be part of something you loved and that was used against you. I hope those of you who chose to leave find bright futures with projects you love. I hope those of you who are able and willing to stay get the respect and compensation you deserve. No one should have to put up with that kind of abuse in the workplace.

Quackity messed up by naively trusting that no one would he hired would try to screw him over and now he’s got to fix this entire mess mostly by himself because he is the sole owner at the moment. He’s also been fucked over, it was his finances that were squandered by the problem admins and those admins abused the trust he put them. I also feel bad for Quackity during all of this because even though he should have been more involved from the start, there never would’ve been a problem if everyone on the Quackity Studios team was honest and respectful.

The admins that were hurt are not the enemy!

The few people within Quackity Studios who took advantage of Quackity’s lack of involvement and experience and used that to mistreat the rest of the team are the problem! They are the root cause of this mess!

Please have compassion for everyone else left to pick up the pieces and try to salvage the server.

I hope this situation is resolved quickly. I hope Quackity and the cc’s are able to work to make conditions better. But in the meantime, we as an audience are going to need to be prepared for some things.

What things, you ask? Well, to begin, this situation is very similar to what happens when an unprotected labor force (in this case the admins/devs/etc) begins to communicate and band together for better working conditions (eg unions). The higher ups don’t want this. The higher ups are going to do anything and everything in their power to prevent this from happening. The higher ups WANT this labor force to be unprotected because it means that they can continue to take advantage of them and make more money off of their work. As more and more former (and, hopefully, current) admins begin to speak out, I can guarantee you that the higher ups will work to silence those still involved with the project as much as they can. If they think one of the current admins is giving out information or is about to go forward with their story, they will remove them first.

If this happens-if an egg admin suddenly stops showing up or shows up acting different than they normally do-it is because the higher ups have chosen to silence them rather than fix the underlying problem.

If this happens: WE NEED TO SHOW OUR SUPPORT.

If this turns into an actual strike on the side of the admins (which I feel would take the form of NONE of them showing up which would remove a majority of this server’s content and generate high audience support-and that’s without getting into a strike on the side of the building devs/writers/etc) we need to remember to support them. That means being vocal about what we want to see (better conditions) and letting those higher ups know that we stand with the workers.

If this becomes a strike-and I dearly hope it does-we as an audience need to support it and understand that the content we are used to may not be able to happen for an extended period of time. That’s the entire POINT of a strike; it’s disruptive.

This got away from me a little, but I think it’s important to note. I hope to fucking god that this situation is resolved quickly in favor of the admins. They have put too much time, effort, and soul into this project for some assholes in middle management to give them jack shit in return.

Aypierre and Antoine initially tried to brainstorm a way to get Lea back in QSMP after the leak, assuming this was the only problem there. They then learned many more things through a big Google doc Lea made with proof of mistreatment etc

After Baghera and Etoiles read the document, they all started drafting a letter to Quackity explaining the situation and basically saying that if nothing changed, they’d leave.

They were in the middle of editing it when Lea brought the story to Twitter, which Antoine is disappointed in because he wanted to clean that situation in private as much as possible, but he says that what’s done is done and now they’re all waiting for change.

Antoine says that obviously, he expects DRASTIC changes and PROOF that these changes happened before stepping back in that server. He mentions that there might be cultural differences at play, but he still considers it way too big of a problem to excuse this as JUST a cultural thing.

He knows Pomme’s admin had her admin rights revoked for now, and said that if she is replaced, he will 100% leave. He doesn’t want to support worker exploitation.

He saw a summary of Quackity’s answer and said that it’s a good start, and he’s optimistic about the future and hopes for the best. But yeah, if the changes don’t happen, he’s out

It's genuinely so sick and twisted that quackity studios keep pumping out new content without any mention of properly compensating their former workers for the time and effort they put in to make the server a success.

IMPORTANT QSMP DISC0RSE PLEASE READ ‼️‼️‼️‼️

Okay, for those who don't know, the last two days (even tho we have been complain for months) have been absolute hell for the Brazilian community, to the point that a lot of us are agreeing to drop the community as a whole, saying we will only watch our favorite Brazilian streams and that's it; we no longer want to interact or be a part of this server

The Brazilian QSMP Twitter community has been complaining about the fact that the Carnaval event, something that's ours and our creators were excited to share with the rest of the world, wouldn't have our creators be a part of it because of the time. We were complaining because we absolutely have the right to, since, as I said before, it's our culture, the most significant event in our country.

Because of that, a lot of international fans, and it hurts to say this, Latino ones, decided to make mass hate xenophobic tweets about us and our creators. Tweets that vary from saying we should be thankful Quackity invited us because no one knew about the Brazilian streamers (when actually the reality is we have about 8 Brazilian streamers as the most-watched streamers in LATAM) to saying Cellbit, Mike, or Pac should kill themselves, and finally, to bringing back the past relationship Cellbit had with his ex-girlfriend.

Because people who had no idea of the story caused a massive hate towards Cellbit and his girlfriend. So his ex-girlfriend used this opportunity to accuse him of a crime and later deleted the tweet, but the damage had already been done.

So international fans decided to use that as a way to be xenophobic towards us, calling us monkeys and many other racist things, plus mass reporting Cellbit to the point where he had to issue a response. I'll leave the English and Spanish translations here because it's something you all need to read, and beware because of the trigger warning.

The point is, we Brazilians are tired of this community. It no longer feels safe for us. It no longer feels fun for us, and it's absolutely ridiculous that a server that was created upon meeting and embracing new cultures would be so hurtful to us. And it hurts us a lot more, seeing as most of the hate is coming from Latinos themselves (especially toxic fans from quackity's community). French people have been the ones to defend us constantly, when our own neighbors have been nothing but racists to us.

I hope Quackity does something about this because we have been complaining for months, but he continues to be quiet about it, doesn't call out his fans, and pretends nothing is happening we will drop out of this server, even cc's commented how exhausting it is for us. This project was supposed to bring people together, but so far, we have been dealing with a lot of xenophobia, and we are tired.

I know this is more of a Twitter problem since everyone here is chill (even tho i have already seen some xenophobia in here), but I just wanted to fill you guys in on the news. And for those who watch Cellbit, we don't know when the next stream will be since he was just forced to talk about his sexuality and abuse. Please shower him with a lot of love and positive messages. For you guys to have any idea, he's trending #1 in Brazil, and even though the entire country used to hate him because of his ex-girlfriend's lies, everyone is apologizing and saying he's an incredible person.
