Obviously they want us to trust that everything is okay behind the scene by bringing back Chayanne and Tallulah like "See? They're back! And theyre doing lore!! So dont worry!" And i want to believe that but I don't understand why they can't just. Make an official announcement. Not make people guess what they mean. Stop the entertainement train for 2 seconds to actually confirm that changes happened.

Why is the returning of previously unpaid employees with no actual confirmation that they are paid now treated like a fun lore moment? Why is every important decision always announced in such an indirect manner? Why do we have to guess their intentions and make a leap of faith every time something new happens?

I mean I know the answer, this is to keep the fans hooked, not reminding fans of the studio's mistakes and let the streamers who put all their eggs in the QSMP basket (ha) continue creating interesting content on the mostly empty server... but why does this take priority over contacting the people that were exploited?

They could have had both. They could have had this "the show must go on" attitude without ghosting all the victims. They could have tried to make it less public without relying on the fans'past attachment to the project to keep trusting them.

We are not privy to any detail, but if we had had confirmation from ex admins that they were being heard and would be solving things privately, i would have accepted it and trusted the process. But alas, that's not what happened... (maybe it's happening rn but our last update was apparently from sunnys admin 4 days ago saying that they had no update, so you know)

The ex-admin for Dansir, Lapin, and Sk8ter (a penguin) came out on Twitter with her experience as a QSMP admin and it’s very grim. The user is @/Leasagne_ on Twitter.

She then tweeted art she made for QSMP that she hasn’t been paid for. This include for exemple a Rose drawing, a Lucy drawing and the Techno fanart from Dia de los muertos event.

4th tweet : « Everyone is burnt out in their entreprise but it’s not a problem bc no one can talk or they risk getting sued. »

She then make a serie of tweets explaining why they got fired : « During a stream, Aypierre leaked my name, thanks dude, they saw that i was talking to him on discord, which is a FORBIDDEN THING. I was then accused of leaking things to him, bc on the screenshot, i was talking about DDOSon the server which is considered sensitive information. There was then an investigation on me, which i said was useless as I didn’t have anything to hide and was ready to answer all their questions. I admitted not following the rules (btw it’s forbidden to have chatrooms BETWEEN ADMINS, that’s why I wasn’t following the rules). We aren’t allowed to talk to streamers out of stream, but everyone does it i was just caught doing it. »

She also added some more stuff

-Saying that they were only TWO french admins (the other being Pomme’s) and OP had to do all the translations of QSMP newspapers, as well as adding articles on french CCs as they had been forgotten.

-Said that Empanada wasn’t supposed to be killed that day, it was an accident.

-Said that Pomme’s death, which was reversed, was forced so that « Baghera would have a tragic reaction »

-Said that the QSMP admin staff are all wonderful people with good dynamics, higher ups are the problem.

-Said that she believes Quackity isn’t aware that this is happening.

-Said that now QSMP ccs are aware that this is happening and want to discuss it with the admins.

Also as the QSMP crashes and burns from illegal labor practices and admins quitting and taking their characters with them because it turns out that Quackity didn't write any of this @Dream you have the chance to do the single funniest new minecraft server announcement of all time, please for the love of god it'd be hilarious.

Morning reminding the QSMP and MCYT community that there is a huge issue with misoginy in this fandom, everytime a woman IS involved in a narative of anykind. No she is not supposed to help everyone, no she is not supposed to be perfect and fix everything, no she is not "the mother" of the group, yes she is her own person and doesn't deserve to be "the other part of the duo"

Please learn to stop treating women like children that need to fit into neat little boxes and are not allowed to be wrong, grey characters, or just exist in general.

Me, November: Well, the ending of purgatory was awful and burnt so many people out, but the server can only start to pick back up from here!

after talking with other people i feel like there really is a disconnect between everyone who has other povs they still have left and everyone who just lost all of their povs (the french)/lost most of their pov's lore (bbh with dapper and pomme). like everyone is stressed and some people are making jokes and i get it i really do i like humor in dark situations, but like... this is the worst case scenario that's happened for everyone who did lose everything. pomme said she wasn't coming back to the server and the french cc all said they wouldn't be coming back if she didn't. i don't feel like joking right now. this situation isn't like the previous two cc who were removed for their own actions, this one was because the studio didn't attempt anything to try to retain a whole language after frequent year-long workplace abuse. this doesn't feel like goofy lore drama anymore it's like, wow we really did lose everything. all because nobody in the upper staff knew how to dm an admin. i wish them well is a nice sentiment and all but i feel a little bit callous to it when the reason they're leaving is that no one talked to them. it was all preventable. no shit sherlock of course i'm upset and my posts reflect that. i wish every post i made being critical of this didn't come across like doomposting. even if qsmp recovers all of the parts i loved most got uselessly cut off in the process. there's not much left i can go back to. even if they replaced pomme's actor there's not going to be cc to come back for that. there's just going to be a hole in the server now when i watch. i feel like i'm going through every stage of grief. i don't want the server to burn down, i'd love to see it continue, but i'd be lying if i said i wasn't terribly bitter about everything.

Ya know what’s one thing that makes me pissed off/very frustrated?

On the original island, q!Bad was constantly up in the main plot and involved in everything. He knew almost everyone’s secrets, especially in the early days of the server. He’s always called upon for almost any group mission and is considered one of the most reliable people on the server. He’s constantly taking care of the eggs and keeping them alive. Hell, he was runner up for president when elections were happening. Bad actually would have won if Forever gave his vote to Bad like he said he would rather than voting for himself (which I’m pretty sure was against the rules anyway😒). That just shows how much trust and respect the CCs have for Bad.

Both q!Bad and CC!Bad get almost zero credit from non-ghosties for any of it. Bad does all of this and instead of getting credit, he constantly is shit on and dragged through the mud by this god forsaken community. Whether it’s for a decision he made as a CC or something his character did, there’s never some section of this fan base that isn’t pissed at him for one reason or another. Just the other day, Gumi made a first time Lethal Company lobby for Bad to play in with friends he’s comfortable with. Cellbit was invited since they’re friends and apparently this pissed off some of Cellbit’s community enough for them to start harassing ghosties on Twitter (not sure if this was going around to everyone, but someone I follow on Twitter went priv cause they were being harassed and sent death threats).

Bad is also made the villain in so many different scenarios because people need someone to blame and Bad just happened to be convenient. This got infinitely worse after Purgatory (this community got significantly worse during purgatory. Somehow worse than it was during the election arc). Bad was deemed a boogie man and then “conveniently forgot everything” after the event ended, when in reality he was just doing everything in his power to save his son (JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE WAS DOING. HE QUITE LITERALLY DID NOTHING DIFFERENT THAN ANYONE ELSE) and then ended up with radiation induced amnesias and slowly dying.

I’m so exhausted, pissed off, and frustrated of Bad and his fanbase being harassed and shit on in this community. I feel like no one besides his fanbase and the CCs appreciate any of the work he’s done and it drives me nuts.

People be like "it's OK to take a break from everything!!" without realising that it's not a break for fans who were following the french ccs. It's a permanent leave.

Like, imagine that your favorite egg(s) and cc(s) left because of mismanagement overnight. Really, imagine it for a second. Your faves don't show up anymore. Quackity doesn't even acknowledge they're gone despite the fault lying on his studio. Imagine having to "take a break" after that. Truly put yourself in our shoes for a second.

You need to realise that right now, "Taking a break" feels more like "accepting that we're being kicked out without a word"

It is. Deeply. Deeply. Frustrating. Especially since the problems in question were consistently pointed out by fans and ccs.

Also, for the record, I DID try to take a break. And then literally the next day Pomme's and Dapper's admins left. So yeah I'm done waiting. I want solutions to the problems we've been screaming about for months.

If not for us, then at least for the rest of you.

Sorry if you think im being impatient. That i don't give Quackity enough grace. But the problem with the integration of the french community started day one. It's normal for us fans to assume the best, to assume that surely, those were just one-off errors and that they were being resolved behind the scene. But it's not normal for Quackity to do the same.

How tf did Quackity let it slide for so long without investigating the cause? Did he even notice/care that we were consistently left out? How did he not know that Lumi was the only french admin on the team? Why did he seemingly not talk to any of the admins in private even ONCE in an entire year ?

Say what you want, that he's young, that he's overwhelmed, that he never managed such a big team, that he blindly trusted the management he put in place, all that is true... but that doesn't erase the fact that he himself took these risks. It's his own fault for creating such an ambitious server without the necessary skills to oversee every aspect of it. And im sorry if his mental health takes a toll because of this situation but it is NOT hate to point these facts out.

We have to find memes, know how to do picture and video montage, translate, cover streamers until sometimes crazy hours, collect clips who can sometimes not even be selected, so graphic design, collect fanarts and more.

Sure, we agreed to work for free. But to write tweets, not to work as community managers. We agreed to be volonteers, not salarymen. If we aren’t free for more than a week, they make us understand that it shouldn’t happen again.

It’s impossible to organise. Purgatory ? We knew about it 2 hours before it started, and they had changed ALL the tweets schedules. I recently left because they asked us not to talk about controversies on our PRIVATE accounts, a few hours after Wilbur’s empty excuses.

After all the work we did for you, hours working for you for free, you want us to shut up about the violences, really ? You make me wanna puke. »

They then added this screnshot which i assume was sent to them by the admin teams higher ups about the wilbur situation.

Speaking on the current admin situation on QSMP since I love it dearly; Do I want the project to end? No. Absolutely not. If the pieces can be picked up and things can resume with much better circumstances then that's great, and it would truly be the best possible outcome for the server if that DID happen. BUT, inversely, I don't necessarily view the project potentially ending as a bad thing either, as bleak as that may sound. Because at its core, Qsmp is a project with an INCREDIBLY solid concept, and it is a concept that has not only been proven to work incredibly well with the correct tools, but it is also unbelievably versatile, and can be applied to pretty much any kind of series that you could ever want to make, and I cannot stress that enough. If qsmp doesn't survive this, the concept can, and if quackity's obvious passion for it is anything to go by, then i firmly believe that it will. From an artist's perspective, I view this as the prototypical artist's tragedy when it comes to tackling a big project that has a lot of paws on deck keeping it afloat; it is very easy to get in over your head as a creative director that is trying something new, and you may put a lot of trust in people you shouldn't when you're blinded by excitement. While I can't get into Quackity's head, I am willing to throw him for this much. Do I think he needs a little more than just a slap on the wrist? yes. But more than anything, I hope that this entire situation will serve as a learning opportunity going forward, whether it be for the continued life of QSMP, or any new project that may emerge from its ashes.

4 signs 4 languages yet they put two english-speaking countries to leave out the french again 💀

I’ll probably be bitter forever about the things Purgatory has done to our fandom. We all underwent incredible amounts of stress because we thought the eggs’ lives were all at risk. It fractured and divided us in such lasting ways.

We all legitimately thought that if our team lost then the most beloved players on the server, characters we canonically think of as children, would be killed. That’s fucked up! It’s now double fucked up in my eyes because there wasn’t even a point!!!

There was no planning and the idea of a “cursed team” was bullshit. We know from a few signs from eggs like Dapper and Tallulah that even they didn’t know what the deal with the cursed team was and it sucks to know that apparently NO ONE knew. Tubbo and all of us fans were investigating and trying our best to prevent disaster and it was completely pointless.

I’ve seen so many people who, to this day, still can’t watch Bolas or Soul Fire streamers because of how much they experienced.

I’ll be so honest, it took me close to a month to be able to watch Badboyhalo without feeling some level of upset. This is a guy I had been watching and appreciating the work of for MONTHS then one two week span mentally turned me against him. The only thing which pulled me out of that is reminding myself that I realistically have no real problem with him. Everyone was just in a horrifically stressed frame of mind and we were dividing ourselves even though all of us want the best for the eggs.

I was probably able to do that /because/ I was both a Bolas and Soul Fire watcher. I was fighting to see both sides, but damn. The stress and fear around Purgatory actively made that so difficult. I’ve been upset for awhile about the division in some of our fandom spaces, and now that I know for certain about the absolute failure of storytelling that happened here, it feels so much worse to me.
