forgot to mention one of my absolute favorite small details in "chalice of the gods" and it's the fact that annabeth never makes blue food because she sees it as "something sacred" between percy and sally.

like not only does this show how well annabeth knows percy and sally, but also, we don't know too much about how annabeth and percy's first month or so as an actual couple went, from her making him a blue cupcake for his 16th birthday to recognizing the blue food as something not to be touched because she now knows the history behind the blue food.

just percy and annabeth understanding each other's pasts and traumas on a level that no one else can ever dream to touch.

One of Bruce's go-to moves is bluffing and it drives him crazy that Clark knows how to read him well enough to always call them. So even though the Justice League is sweating bullets after Batman's latest pronouncement, Clark crosses his arms and raises an eyebrow and Bruce is furious he's got to fold. Same goes for when Bruce lies about his capabilities after an injury, or makes a threat.

I don’t understand how anyone can say Wednesday didn’t like Tyler. She chose to go to the dance with him, she INITIATED their first kiss and SMILED at him. Then even after finding out he was the Hyde, she still said he was her type. It’s canon that she liked him. 😭

“hug?” “clingy, much?……” but hugs them anyway

random races. waking up and brushing? i’ll do it five hours before you even begin dreaming. walking to the kitchen to make breakfast? i can flip fifteen pancakes before you can blink.

“you said you loved me first, remember?” “…. did i?”

everything is still a competition. i don’t care if both our families are watching i can and will scarf this all down and beat you

“cant believe we fell in love. i swore i would never become this trope.” “who doesn’t love a good cliche?”

“kiss?” and an immediate joking “no” but they’re already leaning in with a small smile

both being very stubborn and like carbon copies of the other so small domestic things trip them up

a petty argument and the make-up being all reluctant

^ like “and by the way, i hate your new haircut.” and the other responding with a smile and a “yeah?” because they know with a glance that it’s not true at all

it’s also important to have moments where they acknowledge that the enemies part is in the past and as much as they joke they both love each other very much

^“can we be serious for a second?” and an immediate sobering up

“i love you like, a crazy amount, you know.” “i love you even more.” “okay…. just let me have this one maybe.”

them learning each other’s hobbies & things they enjoy doing, going out of their way to learn and enjoy it too

“let’s go stargaze.” “i’d honestly rather do anything else.” but they go and just stare at the other one the whole time (and the other is aware)

"Dream," George whined, head butting his forehead against the side of Dream's neck. "I just want to sleep. Please pet me until I fall asleep."

George felt the way Dream's breathing increased and his body temperature rose. The breathing thing was a bit annoying, since it moved George, but the added warmth was more than welcomed.

"Okay... okay, I'll pet you," Dream finally agreed, maneuvering the both of them until he could lay back in bed, holding George tightly to his chest. He hadn't even resumed petting him before George started purring happily again, his tail curling around one of Dream's legs in the process.

"Humans are... really warm, just like starlight," George mumbled, his thoughts escaping him.

"George-" Dream paused, tangling his fingers in George's hair. "Just go to sleep, baby. Get some rest."

—OR—

Humans are banned from touching other species in the galaxy, but George, a cat-hybrid, takes a leap of faith and lets the human aboard his ship, Dream, pet him. It awakens a side of George he's desperate to satisfy, and Dream is more than willing to meet all of George's needs.
