Weekly reminder that it's not okay to illegally download and distribute free copies of recently-published books from a niche market where the authors depend directly on monthly royalties to pay their bills.

Books are a luxury and if you can't afford a title, save your pennies or check out a copy from your local library. There are plenty of free resources and public domain texts available in the meantime.

It's worth mentioning that plenty of authors in the witchcraft and pagan markets make a point of providing free resources and advice to the community on a regular basis, myself included. To take that information and then turn around and steal from us on top of it is not only petty, it's cruel, especially considering the financial hardship we're all facing in the current economy.

Download overpriced textbooks and public domain titles, not witch books.

I'm Asmi, I'm 19 years old, he/him, very queer and probably napping at any given moment of the day. Because of a chaotic post, I now have a fandom. My fans, such as they are, are known as maggots. There is a lot of significance behind that (accidentally, I just picked it because it looked like mascot kind of).

I am the Official Good Omens Mascot, because I was kidnapped by the fandom in January after I made a summary post of Good Omens without watching it, just by what I saw on my tumblr dash. I have grown very fond of this title and the fandom, and have since watched the show (some episodes twice) and am currently reading the book, with which I have a homoerotic rivalry (yes, with my copy of the book). I believe it is called Stockholm Syndrome. The fandom insists it's Love. I choose to believe them. Why? As Neil said, Love.

On that note this blog is a safe space for all queer people, and yes that includes aroace-spec people, trans people, all queer people. If you don't agree with that, there's the door *points to a pit of boiling sulphur*.

Find your peace by not focusing too much on one area in your life. It helps. Believe me when I say that. It’s time to nurture the whole of you – mind, body, soul. Also, if writing is your thing, go ahead and start journaling. Write about what you’ve been through on this journey. The good, the bad, and the ugly. Try to find the positive lesson there for all your hardships you’ve through…Writing will also help you to manifest your goals and desires faster. It helps you to capture your ideas, plans, dreams, memories, etc. And it can be extremely therapeutic, while also releasing that creative streak inside you. Try to determine what charms and rituals you do or could do everyday to invite a little magick within your life. Try to go out in nature and meditate. Try to get in touch with the water and nature spirits around you. Remember to protect yourself psychically. Also, try making a talisman for yourself or use crystal magick for protection. When it comes to those focusing on their careers, if you’re not already, it’s time to develop some more skills or look at your career and figure out what needs to change there. Go after what you want. If you have to go to school, do so. If you’re not happy where you’re at, start looking for a job to feed your soul. Do what you have to to bring more happiness and joy into your life, now’s the time.

I’m thinking of making a discord server for crafters with disabilities/chronic illnesses

It would have multiple channels for generic chat about knitting/crochet/other fibre arts, as well as channels dedicated to venting about illness, asking for advice or tips on dealing with pain while crafting etc.

Salutations Tracy! I am a long time fan and heard the pilot dropped a couple weeks ago! And gosh darnit if it didn't make me feel nostalgic and want to hop back on the old forum and reminisce! But I noticed the forum link is gone with the wind! Do you think you'll ever enable the forums again? Or have they gone the way of the dodo? I would love to see it up and running again, if only to relive the good ol' days. Anyhow, and with much respect and love, thank you. Thank you for giving us the gift of Lackadaisy; it is a tour de force and a much needed light when the world is saturated with glumness and woe. Oh, hey! Well, welcome back! We took the old phpbb forum down after a rather nasty DDoS attack that happened during the Kickstarter for the pilot. We still have it all backed up in case there's ever an occasion to restore it (couldn't bear to throw away all of the lovely character creating and writing people did there) but for now, I just don't have the bandwidth to babysit a forum or to try to wrangle moderators for it. Sorry about that. I get that Discord is not really everyone's cup of tea, but we do have a very active Lackadaisy server full of people into art, comics, animation, history, and cats (+ other critters) if you're looking for some community!
