HELLO FRIENDS!
I have been working hard on producing an event on the land this summer in July/AUGUST.
I can’t name names but there are going to be some extremely cool people there, intergenerational lesbian workshops, dyke haircuts, drumming, music (2 NYC based djs!), archery, films by prominent feminists, punk music, folk music an open mic.
I and my co-organizer (also a younger lesbian in her 30s) have worked our butts off making this happen. We have an amazing team of older well respected dykes helping us out 🥹. We’re also sharing the land with WPI so everyday will be filled with music 🎵🎶.
My ask box is totally open for questions, comments and concerns. I also run the email so please reach out to me there also!!!

TRAs unironically defending Chris Chan is truly…
They’ll send you the most graphic violent threat for saying “only women get periods” but the lengths they go to defend this man, who raped his own elderly disabled MOTHER.
Tumblr media
So doing decades of depraved shit, including raping his own mother, is a just response to being “bullied.” TRAs excusing the actions of a sick man and pretend they aren’t just MRAs.

My experience with a TiM "friend"
He would jokingly show people his breasts or his intimate hair during recess
He attempted to forcefully kiss me a few times and, one time did so, but I was thankfully wearing a face mask
One time, in recess, he told me "you are dressing sluttily today" because I was wearing a crop top and short shorts. A male friend of his attempted to pull my crop top up and he laughed
In a presentation about feminism, he said feminazis tried to have women be above men and that it wasn't okay
He changed with the girls in the female changing rooms
He would imitate a woman giving birth nearly everyday during recess while laying on a bench
He and his friendgroup, which I was a part of at the time, had a weird interest in knowing my sexual orientation. "What are you?"

i wish conventionally unattractive women were able to be successful in the performing arts the same way conventionally unattractive men are. men just get to be talented. women have to be talented and fuckable

men be like "if women are really that intelligent, why are all major discoveries made by men? 🤓" as if they didn’t quite literally burn women alive if they were smart back in the day

This is in fact what everyone is thinking, yes. And policing language more won’t make it stop.

Women on tiktok started speaking out on Dylan Mulvaney's misogyny and OF COURSE the TRAs had to jump out and make the most inconsequential arguments
Tumblr media
I think they must be playing dumb at this point, because there's no way they don't see the difference between women making songs about their experiences with womanhood (however stereotypical they might be) and a grown ass man equating womanhood to bed-rotting, popping pills and being dumb. His song is not just about "his own experience with womanhood", the reason why he transitioned in the first place is because he considers those things WOMANHOOD itself, you dumb fucks 😭 I genuinely can't with yall god

i recently saw a comic that said, and i'm paraphrasing, "people think the trans community has some secret hidden agenda, but really we are all just trying to live." i get that, obviously, and i sympathize. but when women fight against trans women in sports or bathrooms, it is also just us trying to live. we bring pepper spray on outings with friends and we don't walk home alone at night and we don't take our eyes off our drinks at parties and if someone has a penis, im sorry, but i will always be on edge around them regardless of how they identify because generations of men have made that body part into a weapon, and it may not be their fault for being born with it, but it sure isn't mine either. i wish they had the same sympathy for us when we do what we can to defend ourselves...and the same sympathy for women who are STILL oppressed on the basis of sex alone.

Thinking about when I was a freshwoman in college and a formerly incarcerated woman came to talk to my feminist theory class about how she believed in abolition but only for women's prisons. She spoke about how rare violent female criminals are, especially when you exclude abuse victims/self defense etc. She spoke about how many of her peers were broken and abused and needed help. She spoke about how isolating mixed-sex spaces for formerly incarcerated people were because so many of the men were openly threatening or misogynistic. She spoke about how complete abolition is unrealistic and impractical because of the epidemic of male violence. She had so many amazing hot takes that she would say without shame or hesitation. It really opened my eyes because I didn't think I was even allowed to think things like that. Anyway I hope she is doing well and I fully agree.
