Okay folks. I’m here to promote my silly little shop n stuff again. Go to itscrazyeddie.etsy.com or go to my threadless at foolstemper.threadless.com or go to my linktree at linktr.ee/foolstemper if ya want anything. I’m in a bad way financially so I’m gonna be real annoying about stuff like my shop and commissions for a while. You can also DM me for prints/stickers/pins here - just look through my art tag here on tumblr and let me know what ya want. I’m a bit desperate lol
Long story short: my shop sales took a nose dive when my mental health spiraled and I am very worried about paying rent on this place, and I’d like to have money put aside for the coming months so we don’t end up homeless. So. Shyeah. Bills are absolutely debilitating and I feel like I need to help out - so idk. Even just liking my shop or sharing this or telling your friends? That would help a ton.
Hi all, I'm a queer disabled artist, Majestic Mess Designs, and I'm setting up a new Threadless shop with my designs.

"Disabled people should be allowed to be as independent as we can be" and "disabled people should not be pressured to be hyper-independent in order to not wind up in nursing homes against our will" are two thoughts that can, and should, exist at the same time.
By keeping a tray full of no prepare necessary food, in the fridge it can be used to aid neurodivergent or fatigued people.
By putting food like, cheese and crackers, or whatever is a safe food for you personally on the tray, it can be taken easily to the couch or bed to be eaten from whenever you are hungry.
This prevents executive dysfunction or fatigue and any reason preventing you from eating. You need to care of yourself because everyone needs food to stay alive including you.
You deserve to eat even when on a bad brain day and are unable to prepare a meal for yourself.
If not having a full meal doesn't satisfy you, a snack may even give you the energy to make a full meal afterwards!

thank you so much for checking us out, spreading the word, and helping me get my dream business off the ground!
Basically, my philosophy around disability fakers is: I would rather a thousand people fake a disability than have one disabled person suffer without care, aids, compassion, or any help.
mcyt physically disabled week day two: sign language | deafness/HoH
i did say i’d try to do at least a few days of this week! i guess this kinda counts for both prompts, since tallulah is canonically HoH? i think of her as a bimodal bilingual, or someone who speaks vocally and gesturally, so here’s a small drawing of two sign language greetings, in LSM and BSL! i just couldn’t decide which one to go with haha
the other thing about being disabled in academia is everyone is like "yeah we can't do much about the buildings they're old :/" as if "old" being a synonym for "inaccessible" isn't just a constant reminder that the people who built the school did not imagine that someday someone like me might study there
We've reached a new layer of not respecting mobility aid users/not seeing us as people.
Today in my class I was using my wheelchair and going towards someone to ask a question. They jumped up and grabbed someone else's cane from "in my way" and began to move it. I said no it's ok, and they said something like don't worry I'll put it back. I said no again and they returned it to where it was. I asked my question and went back to my spot. The person who's cane it was was sitting right there. They could have moved it if they thought it was in my way or if I asked them to.
A minute later I heard the cane fall over. It hadn't fallen before that but of course the abled person who moved it didn't know how to balance it properly.
Don't touch people's aids. Both myself and the other disabled person were able to handle the situation if necessary, but it didn't need to be handled because there wasn't a problem.
