Fate (part 4)

Soldier boy x Fem! Reader

Summary: Reader is a scientist who is forced to work at lab that they keep soldier boy frozen, she talks and cries to him when she is alone, thinking he can't hear her but he hears everything.

......

She was tense.

The streets were different than what she remembered.

It was more crowded, more gray, more concerete

Even air felt more different.

people where everywhere, rushing to their jobs, talking on the phone, No doubt she missed being outside. But not this. She missed the green, forests, trees, the silence, Being able to lay down on grass and daydream for hours. Away from people, away from the world.

Lost in her thoughts y/n didn't realized that she was clutching to his arm.

He was tense as her, feeling it, she turned her head to look at his face. There was confusion in his eyes, which didnt surprised her, he was asleep for 40 years after all, must be a nightmare she thought, falling asleep to a awful world. Then waking up to even more awful one.

But there was something else in his eyes too.

Anger, or disgust maybe?

Well she couldnt blame him again, all the things humans did to him.

-"Are you okay?" she asked

It was like he didnt hear her, still looking at surroundings.

She squezzed his hand gently, asking him again.

He heard this time, Confused look suddenly vanishing, a confident one taking over. He answered while sueezing her hand back.

"Yes, doll why wouldnt i be?"

She knew he wasnt, she could see it. The slight twitching of his mouth, The tense shoulders, and jaw. He was faking it. She decided not to talk about it.

"dont know, i thought it might be a hard for you, i mean you are seeing the world after 40 years."

"This is nothing to compared the things i seen doll, dont worry about me. I fought the nazis, i was locking up the assholes even before you were born."

-"yeah, i know B-ben -sorry i mean soldier boy, i read them in your files. Very brave of you."

"Ben is fine." he said smiling slightly.

-"But what about you? Your heart is beating like a bird." He added.

"Oh, shit, of course he can hear it." She told herself.

This was one of his powers.

-"I-its nothing, i always feel nervous in crowds."

-"Is that so? why?"

-"I-i dont know i always been like this."

Whatever you say doll he said, she had a feeling he didnt believe her either.

They walked and talked, he asked her about the things he saw on the street

And she tried to explain them, which was hard.

Especially "rectangle things" that people hold in their hand, or put in their ears very confused him.

-"do you have one too?"

-"yes, i mean i had one, before they took me. I used it mostly to listen to music."

-"you can listen music it with?"

-"yes, we can get you one too, when we have money. Actually i had a bank account, we should check it."

He pointed the wall behind her suddenly, there was poster of a blonde guy with blue eyes.

-"Who is this punk?" He asked. This is the 10th time i seen him today"

"O-oh he is Homelander. The strongest supe"

"Strongest supe?" He scoffed, arrogant expression on his face.

-"People really love him here, more like worship him. I always found him a bit off tho."

-"Why is that?"

-"Dont know, she shrugged her shoulders. Just a feeling i guess."

-"well doll, i agree with you."

He said absently, he was one of them, He knew how different supes were from what media made them seem. Far away from the saints people thought they were.

How would she feel if she knew? He thought to himself.

The things he did.

Would she be afraid of him too, hate him too?.

a sound, made him snap back from his thoughts. a music was coming from a distance:

He was almoat hypnotised, starting to walk towards it. Dragging y/n too, with their still interwined hands.

Hearing Russian song made her flinch.

-"Ben where are we going?"

He didnt answer, turning to right,

It was an empty street. Just a truck waiting on the corner. Few boxes with vegetables in it. And a old radio

He halted suddenly looking at the radio.

"-Lets go ben this song is getting on my nerves too." she told him. Pulling him soflty.

but suddenly his bag fell from his shoulder. He leaned forward. Breathing heavily.

-"Ben, whats happening are you hurt?" She half screamed. putting her hand in his forehead,

He was burning.

It was like he wasnt hearing her. Just like in the lab.

And

His chest started glowing.

She realized in horror. It was happening again. "No, she thought no one can see him they would lock him up again, they would hurt him."

She could never let this happen again.

With shock ,She did the first thing to came her mind again.

She hugged him, with her all strenght. Covering his chest with her body.

And started whispering to his ear.

-"We are not there anymore. We escaped Ben. You are free."

-"you saved me too, you took me to a plane, remember. Remember please,"

She continued to whisper. Brushing his hair. While crying.

Didn't know how much time passed, but eventually his breathing turned back to normal. His body cooled down.

He pulled back slowly, looking at her face. His expression normal and strong again.

But she was far from it. Her whole body trembling. Her lips were quivering, nose red, fat tears on her cheeks.

He wiped them with his fingers. Patting her heas as if she was a cat. As if he wasnt about the explode 2 mins ago.

"lets get out of here doll. I know where to go."

a/n - just a short fic, nothing special just shua being very protective :) been finding it hard to get motivation to write lately so this is just something from the back of my brain. enjoy!!

“next rounds on you, jeonghan! i can hear my bank account crying from my pocket!!”

going out with the guys after an especially long string of promotions was the perfect way to blow off steam. they always chose the best, fanciest bars to occupy. plus, there was an added bonus that if coups gets drunk enough, you can convince him that he agreed to pay for the next round of shots.

after having a couple drinks that were definitely stronger than you anticipated, it was time for you to make your way to the restrooms. minghao stabilized you as you stood up and less than gracefully made your way to the other side of the room. when you got into the restroom, you stood and looked in the mirror. as the room spun around you, you realized that maybe your limit has diminished as you’d gotten older. you do your thing and head back out, making a stop at the bar first to get yourself a glass of water. at least drunk you was still capable of making somewhat rational decisions.

as you stood at the bar, you half fell over but caught yourself on the counter. a man walked around you, hooking his arm around your waist and holding you up. you didnt think twice, assuming it was one of the guys just helping you out. but, as you looked towards the table they were all sitting around, the only empty seat was your own. now you’re filled with confusion and discomfort. you try to pull yourself away but the man tightens his grip on your side.

“now now, we both know you’re not as stable as you think you are.”

you try to make your voice as stable as possible as you make an attempt at pushing him away or getting someones attention, whichever you can manage first.

“im fine, please let me go.”

the man leans closer until you hear a voice from his opposite side whichs makes his arms tense, but slightly release you at the same time.

“babe, everything ok?”

“not really..”

joshua steps closer to the man who has now completely let go of your waist. he lowers his tone and his voice becomes raspy and powerful as he speaks.

“i don’t want to sound like a douche or anything, but i can have you kicked out of here faster than you could leave on your own accord. so i would suggest that you make a decision before i have to.”

the man mutters apologies to shua as he steps back and hurriedly leaves the bar. at this point, you are completely depending on the counter to hold you up. shua puts a (much more welcoming) arm around you, making you feel secure. you lean into him with your head on his shoulder as the bartender comes over and shua asks him for a glass of water. the bartender hands him the glass as the two of you make your way back to the table. the guys shift down so you can take the seat next to joshua, and you sink into his side as he feeds you the glass of water.

at this point your night had been ruined, and the guys noticed that too. shua offers to take you home which you gladly accept. you both say goodbye to everyone as you head outside and find a bench to sit on while you wait for your taxi to show up. you babble into shua’s shoulder as he scrolls on his phone.

“thank you, shua.”

“hm?”

he put his phone in his pocket as he turns his full attention to you.

“thank you for getting that man to go away.”

“i knew you were uncomfortable, i just did what anyone else shouldve done.”

“but this is better.. cuz its you…”

shua chuckles as he rubs your arm, making you snuggle further into his side. when the taxi comes, joshua practically carries you to the car. you settle in and he makes quiet small talk with the driver as you slowly fall asleep on his shoulder.

when you get to your apartment, you pass shua your keys and rub your eyes while he unlocks the door and ushers you inside. he picks out your pajamas as you sit on your bed, watching his every move. he passes you your clothes as he leaves the room to let you get dressed.

you call out for him to come back in when youre in your pajamas, and he passes you another glass of water. you groan but he laughs as you take the glass anyways. he grabs your makeup remover wipes from your bathroom and sits on your bed next to you, lifting your legs and moving you to face him. his hands are warm.

when you’re all ready for bed, you crawl under the covers and watch as he puts everything back in its place. he makes everything look beautiful, elegant. even the simplest of motions are incredible when it’s shua. he pulls out his phone to book another cab to his place, but you sit up half way in your bed.

“shu?”

“yeah?”

“maybe it’d be cheaper if you didn’t get a taxi tonight and i could take you home tomorrow?”

“are you suggesting i stay here tonight?”

you give him a pleading smile as you pull back the covers and he playfully rolls his eyes. most of the guys have left miscellaneous clothes items at your house from other occasions, so he digs through the drawer and finds some pajamas to change into. when he comes back into the room, you watch him again. beautiful. thats the only word to describe him.

he slides into the covers and smiles at you as he leans over you and turns off the lamp on your bedside table. the night fades away, as you both fall asleep after mumbled ‘goodnight’s into the dark.

when you wake up, the bed is empty. you stumble out of bed, trying to ignore the throbbing pain in the right side of your head. the smell of breakfast enters your nose, as you get to the kitchen and see shua cooking at the stove. you walk to him and rest your cheek on his back.

“good morning, party animal.”

his eyes are fond as he gestures to the counter behind the two of you, where he has two ibuprofen and a glass of water sitting out, ready for you.

“another glass of water, ive never been so hydrated in my life.”

shua laughs.

“thats not a bad thing, is it?”

he walks towards you and looks into your eyes as you drink all the water and lay the glass down with a smile.

“no, not at all.”

Brozone (and friends (and enemies)) twitter drama au

Collaborative between me and @squirrelpatties. Truly our magnum opus

Jd: previously a frequent twitter e-clown infamous for name searching and starting beef with people who insulted him. His fanbase thought it was hilarious in a "grandpa escaped the hospital" way. Eventually was forced to relinquish control of @/brojohndoryofficial to his pr manager (clay) after he responded to 14 y/o @/j0ndryballzweat.

Floyd (part 1): his sex tape (with a fan he didnt know was a fan but thats hardly relevant) gets leaked. For the first three days everyone's timeline was full of "do NOT share it around, dont even look for it, if someone sends it to you IGNORE it, this is a disgusting breach of privacy" until Floyd addresses it by tweeting "decided to put on a different kind of show for you guys" and all hell breaks loose. Every tweets hidden replies are full of screencaps and reuploads for a month. People edit the video so just before anything explicit happens it's replaced by a video game cutscene or meme, which Floyd retweets a lot of. His brothers ask him to stop (both for publicity and bc it makes them uncomfortable) so he starts posting thirst traps on insta. Clay yells at him so Floyd tweets "clay just asked when I'm gonna get a girlfriend :/" which brings us to-

Clay: homophobia allegations. Admittedly the least serious and would have blown over quickly if it weren't for him panic tweeting "I'm not homophobic! My girlfriend is a bi lesbian!" People were NOT happy. It takes him three days of retweeting 'helpful educational threads and carrds' on lesbianism written by 14 y/os for people to get off his back. Viva understands.

Bruce: stays off social media bc its the mind killer so he lets clay take care of @/brobruceofficial. This goes well until clay gets drunk and thinks he's on his private account but is actually on Bruce's public. When he wakes up (hungover) in the morning hes got Bruce banging on his door asking why TMZ is reporting on him cheating on his wife. Bruce tells him to clear things up but clay JUST got the lesbians off his back and can't afford to be back in the hotseat...

Branch and poppy: branch was annoyed by all the branch/poppy rpf fanfic (poppy likes them bc she thinks they're cute and funny. When brozone go on tour she reads the smutty ones) so he suggested to poppy that they stage a fake breakup. Poppy is initially against the idea until branch brings up how much fun itd be to sneak around like a couple of teenagers. Poppy scrapbooks the tabloids about their breakup. Clay and Bruce blame clays drunken tweets on branch so clay seems like the victim. Poppy acknowledges this on twitter in a way that very heavily implies they broke up bc branch was cheating on her with her own sister. Viva does not understand. This one doesn't have a resolution yet bc we moved onto:

Barb: previous lesbian icon turned reactionary transphobe. Riff stopped associating with her once she started getting really public with it and now she keeps tweeting stuff like "you-know-who left me just to work with misogynists. Really makes you think 🤔 " which he ignores.

Riff: while still working with barb he was approached to collab with creek (damage control for the... unsavoury things he said about rock trolls). The second the song released he tweeted "wow that guy was an asshole LOL" bc he didn't realise he wasn't supposed to do that. Cut contact with barb once her transphobia went from "mild, I can fix her" to "jesus fucking christ". Briefly worked with Floyd until his second controversy at which point riff tweeted "cmon, man" and turned off his phone. Riff hasn't done anything wrong and he deserves a lot better

Velvet: crafted the perfect expose thread on Floyd when she was in prison, including "pro life" "publicly sharing inappropriate sexual content" and "uses the toothpaste flag". Posts it the second she gets let out of prison and instantly becomes #1 on trending (alongside "floyd" "pro life" and "#HUGS4CLAY).

Floyd (part 2): tweets "why does it even matter that I'm pro life if I'm gay and don't 'believe' in 'voting'" before doing another line off his boyfriends torso. People bring his leaked nudes back up and start insulting his dick size and its the first time hes ever let a controversy bother him. His next tweet is "I am not ashamed of my body" and the top reply (creek pfp) is "you should be ❤". Clay is biting the skin off his own tongue.

definition of little freak. you know how as the line of cousins gets younger and younger and the youngest of them all is always just a weirdo? yeah, hugo is the youngest.

does not have any parent hes closer to. ron spoils him more but also scolds him more. hermione rewards him less but lets him get away with more. it balances out.

very close with lily luna so when rose and albus had their falling out they just gossiped about it the entire time. lily would tell him how albus cried for three hours straight during lunch and hugo would tell her how rose started to fixate on their shower and started deep cleaning it the muggle way at four in the morning like she was possessed

is james’ godbrother but keeps forgetting it 💀

not bad at quidditch but never took a huge liking to it. likes watching more than playing and just agrees with whatever his dad’s opinions are on the teams (indoctrination)

So about about a month ago or so i got a message from an obvious fake account (no likes, followers, or PFP), now i have had my annos off from the very beginning of my blog because i am here to read, re-blog & make friends ( i am not very social IRL)

But i made it with a purpose to explore fan fiction because prior to Eddie i had never read fan fiction but thats a story for another day😅💗

So i never wanted to bring this to light because i didnt want to give this person or whomever it may be the satisfaction of getting to me, but in this DM they attacked for one my looks , my person (or who they think i am as a person) and proceeded to call me a & i quote “type of bitch Eddie would hate , he would never give you the time of day”

Now the reason i bring this up is because today i got a follow from a fake account with a name quite similar to the one who sent me the original hate DM, i immediately blocked them just like the last account but here is the point i am trying to make…

I don’t think that I have ever offended anyone and I’ll be the first one to say that if I have ever shared, liked,commented, or said, anything to offend anyone on here i am truly sorry

I have said it time and time again that the whole purpose of this blog is to try to share as many stories as I can, and spread as much positivity because in the world that we live in now it seems that there’s very little of that out there💗

At the same time, I don’t feel like I deserve that much hate.

I really don’t think it’s anyone here but like I said if I’ve ever done anything from the bottom of my heart, I’m sorry I just needed to get this out there because one of the main reasons that I was absent for about a month month was because of that and as much as I didn’t wanna let it get to me it got to me and I just didn’t feel like I belonged in this fandom

I will always do my best to show as much support and love to all the amazing creators and writers on here I love y’all. I hope you have a great week and remember to be kind to yourself and be kind to each other.🫶🏻

Cheating hcs for Veneer & Velvet

warnings: mention of screaming, violence, stalking (indirect and direct), murd3r, alc0h0l abu$3

Veneer:

When you're suspicious:

Tries to lie about it when you find out, saying that someone was setting him up

Super obvious, his phone is never on silent and has one for work and one for personal use, just looking through his contacts gave you suspicions

Horrible liar, "they are just an old friend that wanted to catch up", "oh my lipstick is smudged because of the cup i was drinking out of"

Starts hiding his phone from you more, being more secretive, making sure only the back of his phone is facing you when he is texting the person he is cheating on you with

He acts more affectionate than before, hoping that you will stay with him if you find out

Once he texts you goodnight, he texts the other person asking if they are awake

He always cancels or reschedules plans with you to hang oit out with the other person

When you find out:

Once you confront him about it he tries to play victim, lying and trying to convince you that they mean nothing and that they made moves on him and he was too nervous to do anything about it

His heart drops to his ass once you pull up screenshots of Veneers conversation with the other person that someone sent you

"These are fake! I would never cheat on you! Here, you can go through my phone!" He yells out, anxiously trying to delete the conversation with the other person

His desperation is quickly replaced with fear as you snatch his phone out of his hands before he can delete the messages and he hears your blood curdling scream of pure rage

"Baby please..it was a mistake please lets just talk about this"

He stands their helplessly as you throw the closests objects to you at him, trying to dodge them while you scream "I FUCKING HATE YOU" over and over again

"Please babe I'm sorry! You dont have to do this.."

"You werent sorry until you got caught." You were right, he wasnt sorry until he got caught.

He stood there watching you absolutely destroy his room, flipping dressers over, throwing his phone at the wall, shattering it, breaking framed pictures of you and veneer by slamming them onto the floor. His whole world was collapsing around him and there was nothing he could do about it

Begged for you to stay with him, which you obviously didnt

After you found out and left him:

The realization of the huge loss he experienced finally hit him, feelings of regret and guilt filling his body

He spent countless nights crying, wishing he never did what he did

He ended up blocking the person never wanting to see them or hear from them ever again. just hearing their name makes his heart heavy and makes him sick to his stomach, reminding him of how they completely destroyed his relationship with you, his first love

He messes up at all of his shows, which pisses Velvet off. He doesn't care though, all he can think of is how things ended with you

He replays the scene in his head 24/7, your words echoing in his head ("I FUCKING HATE YOU", "You werent sorry until you got caught")

He tries to convince Velvet to help him get you back, which she refuses to do

He stalks all your social media accounts, bawling his eyes out when he sees you, wanting you to just hold him and forgive him

Doesnt move on, he is determined to wait for you to come back to him

Drinks every single night, its the only thing that can get you off his mind (temporarily)

If you decide to go back to him:

He does EVERYTHING HE CAN to make sure you trust him, giving you the passwords to his phones, setting them down face up when leaving a room that you are in, bringing you everywhere, etc

Posts you like crazy, letting everyone know he is taken

Doesnt follow anyone of your gender on social media (expect for you, if ur a female he only follows you and Velvet)

Always reassures you if you suspect he is cheating on you again, doing everything in his power to prove to you that he isnt

He genuinely has changed, he worked on himself to be better for you

If you move on:

He is in denial at first

Once he sees proof that you have moved on he actually goes insane

Pays people to watch your every move and report it back to him

Still convinced that you will come back to him, telling people that y'alls relationship is just complicated

If you're a popstar, he goes to all of your concerts (buying backstage passes too)

Buys multiple phones just to call you from an unblocked number

Probably pays someone to kill your new partner

Velvet:

When you're suspicious:

You notice she starts to act different, being more distant and avoidant

It was harder to tell with her since she's already secretive with her phone

Blows up on you when you ask if there is another person, telling you that your crazy for thinking that (making ur suspicions grow)

After cheating for a while she starts to get more clingy, hoping it would cancel out her actions

She is never around anymore, shes always with the other person

She gets anxious when you ask to use her phone, asking you what you need it for, quickly deleting messages and pictures, and looking over your shoulder as you use it

You finally decided to go through her phone when she "lost it" (she left it unintended so you took it)

When you found out:

Got very mad and aggressive when you confronted her, yelling at you while clenching her fists, trying her hardest not to charge at you

"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?"

Does she regret cheating on you? No. Not yet atleast.

Like veneer, she tries to play victim

(for fem readers) You continued to go through the messages until you finally lost it, charging at her while crying and screaming insults, throwing punches and ripping at her hair

Spends the whole relationship trying to apologize (going on more dates with you, spending A LOT of money on you, posting you very frequently, letting everyone know shes locked in and doesnt want anyone else, etc)

Gives you the password to her phone and all of her social media accounts

Works on communication, getting better at reassuring you if your still shaken up about there being someone else

Wants you to move past it, but she knows how hard it is for you so she stays patient

Shows you off like a kid who just got a new toy, talking about how amazing you are and how much she loves you

If you move on:

In denial, not believing it

She gets more distant from everyone, wanting to isolate herself

This is a serious issue. You want to know why? Because it has been proven multiple times that fiction DOES in fact affect reality. This is a very serious issue. The Total Drama Fandom has a lot of kids in it. Total Drama is a show for children. Children can find your very public blog, see you talking on public about alenoah nsfw, and they will normalize it. You wanna know how I know this? Because I've experienced this myself! Children stumble upon things that they're not supposed to see! You are coming into a space that is filled with minors, because this is a TV show for CHILDREN, and you are talking about these minors characters in a way that is messed up. I am scared for the minors that will see your post.

I am worried about the the fucking children. About the VERY REAL children. And you know what? "Stop torturing yourself with drama that doesnt matter." Then why even address it in the first place? If it doesn't matter, why make a long angry post about it? Fandom is supposed to be a fun place. Fandom is supposed to be where you go and talk about your favorite show and post little things that you think about the media. Me "screaming" and throwing a "tantrum" is because you are coming into this space and making it a nasty place to be. Minors are not safe with you in the space.

Here's my take. People have immoral thoughts about things. That's part of being human. There is something wrong with you for you to post something like that, and not even try to hide it from minor's eyes. I care about the people in this fandom. I am trying to keep people safe from people like you.

FIRST OFF … thank you so much for the interest ive been really rotating them in my brain lately so it means a lot to hear you like them (ʃƪ˘ﻬ˘)

i originally made them for funsies last year for a fic i didnt end up writing but i've gotten back into the swing of it so when i figure out how to put a story together i'll put it out there . for now... > here's a proper doodle of their fits i put together .

their names are ysabel and cayn bolton - their parents are maisie manderly and alaric bolton ( x ) . cayn is ~20 and ysabel is a few years younger but don't ask me about specifics because i ...... <3 haven't figured the timeline out yet .

ysabel is a severe case of troubled youth as a result of being raised in a household that centers its identity around the concept of flaying people . their dad is kind of balls off the wall nutso and insists very early on that both his kids have to uphold their family history and identity which leads to both of them being exposed to excessive violence before they really should have been and it definitely gets to her the most . at the core she's kind of squishy and more delicate than you'd imagine from the horrendous dead stare she has > growing up she definitely struggled more than cayn to deal with growing up in the environment she did > she has frequent delusions of what is basically a reanimated skin of a man that follows her around and gets in the way when she's especially stressed out . physical representation of the terror of her father's ambition and actions etc

she's kind of quiet and weird and doesn't have many friends aside from her brother but she IS very polite and well-mannered as is expected of a noble lady . very influenced by having a manderly mother in that she leans a little more into expectations of women as framed by the faith of the seven . likes poetry and embroidery and whatever else she's been told to like and is determined not to step outside her box of expectation . eventually spirals into further delusion of the religious kind when she gets to king's landing and things start to devolve politically > the spiral and downfall of what being a proper lady in medieval society means . her first encounter with aemond targaryen is in the king's landing gardens where she thinks he's about to attack her so she bites a chunk out of his neck so do with that as you will

cayn on the other hand is by all accounts outwardly pretty Normal . he's charming and an open book and very easy to get along with if you can disregard the ever lingering Blue Eyed Stare . being the oldest son just like ysabel he has a very specific set of expectations put on him but in a very different way . should uphold a clear image of being like his dad and learns to fight and hunt and rule but it all ends up being very fake . you look him in the eye while you chat about northern alliances and how to make sure this and that lord is satisfied and hes smiling but there is nothing behind those damn eyes .

definitely does not help that ... he IS a homosexual <3 both of them are meant to be people who put up very firm appearances of being well-adjusted, matching expectations essentially perfectly - only to have those expectations torn down entirely when they're strained enough . going to sound like a fucking insane thing to say but cayn to me is very medieval patrick bateman - in the sense that he's obsessed with appearances and what others think of him, but it's all just a means of covering up the fact that he is 2 seconds away from snapping and killing someone or himself at all times . i have all the characteristics of a human being: flesh, blood, skin, hair; but not a single, clear, identifiable emotion, except for greed and disgust. something horrible is happening inside of me and i don't know why. my nightly bloodlust has overflown into my days. i feel lethal, on the verge of frenzy. I think my mask of sanity is about to slip etc, if you will .

the plot here is a little lost on me because i havent written it all out yet and i cant keep information in my mind for longer than a second but it's essentially dance of the dragons but if i took all the events and scrambled them around and made it completely different . ´･ᴗ･` more book-focused than show-focused at least in terms of the characterization of people like aemond and alicent (i like when they're a little meaner and more crude . my bad ...)

before the war begins - the greens plot away, realizing viserys is not going to name aegon heir even as his health worsens and tensions become more apparent at court. more political action is taken here with the starks declaring for rhaenyra in any matters of succession much earlier - working counter to this is a little already-formed cluster of northern houses that kind of band together under the boltons with the help of some marriage ties and general disagreements with the starks (ie ysabel + cayn's dad is married to a manderly, cayn eventually gets betrothed to a karstark before the starks can snap them up a generation later as they do in canon). with the north kind of silently divided the greens reach out with the intent to form an alliance there with the promise that the boltons will be given the spot as wardens of the north when the war eventually ends knowing full well when viserys kicks the bucket things are going to spiral without question . they accept and head down south - which obviously makes for even more tensions considering they're still stark bannermen . everyone is a little bit or more than a little bit mad at each other and viserys dies and things spiral as usual .

ysabel marries aemond to secure that northern alliance , goes to storms end and promises daeron + lands and wealth to make up for the fact he can't marry one of borros daughters himself, lucerys dies etc and well ........... i need to iron out some wrinkles . <3

as for their relationships obviously as mentioned ysabel marries aemond and its Weird . she really likes him but in a weird almost obsessive way . watches him from afar before they even get introduced officially and sits awake at night and stares at him and i think part of it is because she doesn't know how to approach . wants to be affectionate and loving but also wants things to be on her own terms while also knowing that the circumstances (WAR) doesn't allow for that to the extent she wants so she's at a loss at what to do . which manifests in Being strange . with both these relationships there's a touch of strange hunter prey dynamics and here its definitely more laid back than with cayn and aegon . you watch from afar but never strike . you learn someone's patterns and habits and the threat of having that used against you is always present but te tension only ever builds and never comes to a peak .

because ysabel is very tall and slender and kind of gangly she struggles a lot with pregnancy and when they eventually do have a child it's a girl . which she's intensely conflicted about . you have a child put in your arms and theres a moment of complete joy that turns just as quickly into horror because she believes so firmly that a son would have been what makes her husband and her family happier . sort of anne boelyn esque . she ends up with health issues and a line of lost pregnancies after that before having a son who is incredibly weak and sickly and doesn't make it into adulthood . horrorshow in the capital here

cayn and aegon ........... scratches my chin. on account of being gay in westeros it's obviously very different . aegon is married and cayn is betrothed and still i think cayn meets him and it's a case of well i will die before i give up being able to be with you . they're kind of similar on the surface in that they bond over sort of skipping out on court duties and prefer to spend time out in king's landing . a lot of watching aegon give out his attention to others freely and getting nothing in return (because shockingly you have to initiate sometimes instead of staring at someone you like longingly and looking like a creep) . again that sense of not knowing how to approach just like ysabel . a slow buildup of shared glances and mutual want that you both know will never be okay to anyone but the two of you . cayn wants to hunt and kill him and tear him apart and make out sloppy with him because it's all he can do to show that affection . violence in place of love in a society that would never accept your happiness .

when that hurdle of Figuring out they're both a little homo for each other is crossed they're definitely more direct than ysabel and aemond . very heavy handed physical affection moreso than verbal or emotional signs. rip at each others flesh but never express all the things you'd do for each other . share desperate fumbling kisses in some back alley but don't begin to think about what it might be like to run off and never be seen again or how differently youd be able to see each other if one of you happened to be a woman . i <3 medieval homosexuality !

THAT'S ABOUT ALL. sorry this was a whole load of nothing but i loved getting to ramble about them . final notes are some design pointers

the little eyes on the necklace ysabel wears + the eye on the armour design i did for cayn is meant to be similar to 18th century lover's eye jewelry! : -) essentially a form of affection in literally carrying a lover's gaze with you . i think it's very bolton esque

cayn has a little gold ring to tie back to aegon . and the earring is meant to look like a drop of blood

the armour is his dad's . he dies like halfway through the war and i think it's very telling to have the deeply imperfect son don his dad's fit after he dies . bad fathers who haunt their children etc

he does go off to fight in the war as well hence the scars and the hair . loses parts of his arm as well as parts of his face (lip + his eye is injured so he doesn't see very well) . unfortunately the rat tail had to go but it pains me as well

the white gown instead of black for mourning i think was mostly just for aesthetics (tough to fit with the dark background) but also has SOME intent behind it . atp ysabel ends up barely existing as a person properly as per what war does to someone especially when they're already struggling - it's meant to be a nightgown because she rarely gets dressed beyond that . white was also historically a mourning colour in specific countries in specific eras of history and i do really like that . gives sort of sad miserable ghost in the castle vibes idk

The city's skies and flourishing sounds of people going about their daily lives were not meant for you. Living off of someone else's pain, simply put, you were scum, a horrible scourge. You were lucky enough to have only caught the eye of Fyodor once, only doing what his twisted desires asked of yours. You couldn't care enough for any other of the members that Fyodor had gathered up. Working with him meant that you only had one part to play in the grand plan and no one else needed to be with you. So how did you catch the eye of someone else? Somehow the secluded one, Mushitarou was willing to bother you no matter what happened. From complaints to simply just being there grimacing at your actions. You probably wouldn't have minded if it wasn't for this becoming an average working day experience. Truth be told, it pissed you off. Trying his best to subtly follow you when you were free from dirty work that afternoon, suddenly bumping into you when you’re trying to get simple groceries.

All so annoying and repetitive. However, you knew better to underestimate the man, it goes without saying, Fyodor caught him for a reason. There's a dirtied up reason as to why he got seeked out by Fyodor just like you had, and you’ve only heard accounts of what his ability can do. You knew how to play safe but didn't account for how annoying he would be. His rude nicknames snickered from his mouth failed to properly move you, so naturally, they got worse.

At this point you started to avoid him, gaining Fyodor’s favor just a little due to the distraction of Mushitarou getting in the way. One more pretentious word out of his mouth was sure to cause bloodshed from your side and that would be punished accordingly. Sometimes to cool down you looked at the worst news possible of damage either you or your coworkers had done. To admire the work from their side cautiously from news outlets in fake distress. But as time ticked some of those news articles you loved so much for an ego boost were disappearing. Not a single trace to be found of their existence or yours. Your mind clicked instantly on who it could be, and simply put, it pissed you off. Yet you couldn't do anything physical, you didnt know how to ruin Mushitarou’s life like he knew how to do for yours. Fyodor requested of you for a reason, your potential, not for it to be diminished down by an annoying pest. Yet here you were broken down in your own room with Mushitarou in it. “You're my only reason I'm doing this.”

His voice made your nails dig deeper into your skin as you glared at him angrily. Your side is already pulsing with pain with an attack you didn't be wary of. “You’re not going to die, at least, not by yourself.”

His voice only made you shake with more anger ruining up in your veins while he stares at you, while he looks down on you. Mushitarou continued to speak, his words turned into a whisper that didn't match his smirk plastered on his face, “I hope you know, we will die together and there's nothing stopping that.”

You attempted to reach up to attack him but he simply moved away, you were weakened down and he wanted to make that clear. A pathetic man used pathetic tactics to make a fool out of you, and all you could do was let him. The moment you two were free of the grasps of dirty work, he wouldn't hesitate to get rid of any traces of you ever existing. He’s done it before and he's all too willing to do it to you just to keep you trapped. Just so you can become a pet to him. You knew how to play safe but didn't account for an obsession this bad. You didn't account for a knife to be lodged into your side when you got home tired of a mission. This was your own downfall and you knew Mushitarou would be there to remind you of how he kicked you down into his grasp alone.
