If I could pitch season 16 of Supernatural:
Dean wakes up and it turns out that everything from 15x18 was an Empty Nightmare because he actually grabbed Cas just before he got taken, so got pulled in too.
Sam and Jack have been trying to get them both out for 5 years.
Jack still got the God Powers but he's whimsical with them and retains his personality. He wants to try and preserve human free will. But also helps in small ways where he can. (and still pops into the bunker for a bowl of cereal from time to time)
Sam is the 'new Bobby' in the MOL bunker - sending out hunters and knowing all the lore about all the monsters. (Also he practices witchcraft on the side)
No blurry wife - Sam and Eileen are engaged - and no Dean Jr. But! they are considering having a kid soon. And! They can get married now that Dean and Cas are back!
Dean and Cas heartfelt reunion!!! Clinging hug!!!! Never let me go again!!!! We're not talking about the confession but we both want to!!!!! etc etc
Cas is still an angel and Jack offers to make him an archangel !! Cas feels like he should say yes out of obligation (even if he doesn't want to leave) but Dean actually FINALLY asks him. to stay? (Cas immediately declines Jack's offer)
Dean struggles with the memories of his Empty Nightmare. (It was just SO bad. But also he tries to describe Old Man Sam and his bad hair and that cheers him up.)
The original Death is back because he never really died, he just didn't want to be involved in all the Winchester shenanigans. But he's back now that all the world-ending chaos is over. (Tessa is also back as his second-in-command)
Billie is the new ruler over the Empty, and it's a place of eternal rest now. Very peaceful. Meg is there and she's having a great time relaxing.
Crowley comes back as a human for a second chance. He's still kind of an ass but he's lovable with it.
Lots of reunions and cameos. It's magic you can bring all sorts of characters back to life - a lot of them died unfairly in the first place. Bring them all back!
Dean! and! Cas! Kiss!
I want all the genres of kiss. Confused. Desperate. Relieved. Passionate. Tender.
The season is all very character focused and character driven and ties up any loose ends the show had left.
The drama comes from internal character struggles and with Dean and Cas figuring out where they fit into this 5 years on world now. (The answer is together doing whatever they want to and Dean comes to the realisation he wants to retire, but he struggles with reconciling that he wants to retire and Sam doesn't and they have to go on different paths now).
The series ends with the big Sam/Eileen wedding and it's just a huge party and gathering of all the cameos you can possibly think of. Friends, family, frenemies, some beloved characters who only appeared in one episode... they're all there.
Dean proposes to Cas by taking the loop from Baby's keys out of his pocket and getting down on one knee and using it like a ring stand-in (it's way too big but it's symbolic and cheesy and sweet and it doesn't matter)
Of course he says yes.
The end.

I saw someone mention this on Twitter and absolutely felt the need to write a post about it, because...dear god.
Tumblr media
This moment is from episode 3 of GO season 2, where Crowley is demonically fibbing to Muriel about humans and how best to ascertain whether they have fallen in love. In this gif, David as Crowley is saying "Don't hesitate to ask me if you have any other questions about love, Inspector Constable" and Michael as Aziraphale is...doing that.
The that in question isn't just shamelessly looking David up and down, or the breathy exhale that follows--both of which would be more than worth talking about as deliciously delightful acting choices on Michael's part. What really caught my attention here is that in this moment, Michael's pupils are noticeably dilated.
Tumblr media
"Why is this important?" You may be wondering. Well, it's important for two reasons: 1) That dilated pupils signal a change in emotion, most notably arousal and attraction to someone; and 2) That it is an involuntary response to stimuli:
Tumblr media
Actors can do many amazing things. They can convey a myriad of emotions with vocal tone, gestures, and even the tiniest of microexpressions. But one thing you categorically cannot act is unprompted arousal. Michael is a brilliant actor, but there is no possible way for him to have summoned an involuntary biological response on command. In short: This is not Aziraphale reacting to Crowley. This is Michael reacting to David.
The same thing occurs in the aftermath of The Kiss in episode 6, where we again see that Michael's pupils are absolutely enormous:
Tumblr media
Obviously, this is a very emotional scene, so it would make sense for Michael to react to it on a deep level. But the fact that his pupils are this big right as he's touching his lips and thinking of David kissing him is too powerful to ignore.
As I have said before, I will never tell anyone that they have to ship Michael and David. I do ship them myself, and have for the last four years now--despite the pushback/occasional hate Anons I have received--because I have noticed so many little things like this over and over again. But what I would say to folks who are anti-RPF or folks who have noticed similar things but are afraid to say so out loud is: Isn't it time to maybe consider acknowledging what Michael has been telling us (both in words and very clearly with his body/expressions) about his feelings for David? To put aside the rationalizing and the qualifying just for a moment to look at what is actually in front of us? There are a lot of terrible things in this world, but someone falling in love with his Scottish best friend--even if said Scotsman is married, even if it is complicated, or messy, or inconvenient--shouldn't be one of them.
Michael has said that so much of what is on screen in GO season 2 is the result of his relationship with David off-screen, and everything that has happened between them since season 1. Nowhere is that more evident than in the two moments above, as well as countless other little moments (even wordless) between Aziraphale and Crowley. I'm just so grateful that Michael and David have shared that love with us, in whatever form it may take...

OKAY OKAY MORE EPISODE 1 NOTES (here be spoilers for the whole season)
The first few episodes were so... light-hearted, weren’t they, in so many places. I laughed out loud frequently, sometimes through tears.
Of course, in other places they were filled with deep disquiet.
I’m rewatching the whole season now, bit by bit, and the sense of disquiet only grows.
In the present day, we start with Aziraphale being happy. Happy enough, anyway; happy with the status quo, with having a little freedom and being able to live among the humans. In the first scenes, Aziraphale is delighted that he can do a good deed, helping Maggie. “I’ll just take those Shostakovich records and we’ll call it even,” he tells her, beaming.
(He also says, “I’m very good at forgiveness. It’s one of my favourite things,” and given everything—oh, this is disquieting already. Aziraphale, what do you think forgiveness means?)
I love the whole “wrong bench” exchange.
I love Crowley caring about the health of ducks.
I adore Muriel finding the matchbox, a material object, and her little excited stomp-stomp-stomps.
Gabriel’s arrival is very funny. Side note, there’s a fly in the box; on first watch, I suspected it of being Beelzebub’s spy, but—well. We know how things turned out.
And another bit that I love, and that in retrospect breaks my heart, is Crowley saying, “is it something I can help you with?” as he evaluates Aziraphale’s distress and connects the dots.
He’s there for Aziraphale. Unequivocally on their own side. And just—
The lightning scene was EXCELLENT. The apology dance… oh, they are so absurd and so married.
And despite that latter, in the last four hears they clearly haven’t talked about the really key things: what they are, what each of them wants and hopes for and needs. They should have been able to talk, no?
Should have been able to, and could not.
God, they are really terrible at this.
They did not know they needed to talk. And… they were both afraid, I suspect, of the conversations themselves upsetting one part of the fragile balance between them. Of losing what they have in each other.
They didn’t talk. They had four years, and no time at all.
So all this while, they’ve been on the same side but not; all this while, they were saying different ‘exactlies’.
At the end of the episode, they come together. For a miracle—and it’s rather symbolic, isn’t it, that when they work a miracle together, it’s so powerful that it literally goes through the roof.
There is... so much here. So much. Oh my heart.

Forgive me for restating the obvious, but I was reading through an old post and it just kind of hit me in a way it hadn't before: One of hellers' most fundamental disconnects with the show (and media literacy in general) is how they try to insist parallels establish romance.
SPN used parallels to couples and romantic tropes a lot in regards to the brothers. But it was never meant as a signal that they were romantically in love or to tell you something you otherwise couldn't figure out. It was to underline what we already knew from the entire rest of the story about how they were the most important people in each other's lives. It used romantic relationships because that's a central status typically reserved only for romantic relationships - that was part of the point.
Let's take an example or two. Dean compares himself and Sam to Jesse and Cesar from The Chitters. After interacting with them for a while, Dean is like, 'Haha, you fight just like brothers, almost as bad as Sam and me' and they say that it's more like an old married couple. This is Dean comparing an exact thing that actually happens between him and Sam, silly petty bickering, to something that exactly happens between a married couple. Likewise, let's take Dean's expression and the script note he's thinking about Sam's close call in Red Meat. Michelle is talking about watching the man she loves die and how nothing can be the same, and Dean is thinking about how he believed he lost Sam earlier that same episode and reacting to what she's saying. No one is under the impression that these are signposts telling you for the very first time that Sam and Dean are weirdly, claustrophobically close in a way that compares to romantic couples. They're quick moments which draw an underline on what you already know from the way they've acted towards each other for the entire preceding (and following) length of the show. If you cut either of those moments? It would change nothing about what we understand of Sam and Dean's relationship, because that's how using parallels in storytelling actually works.
Hellers want to insist that romantic couples and tropes being parallels to D/C in and of itself proves that D/C is romantic. Why else would SPN use couples and romantic tropes?!? Well, because SPN does that all the fucking time, maybe? Which is even before you get into how superficial the basis for their supposed parallels typically are.
Let's take an example or two. Hellers want to insist that Dean and Castiel were paralleled to David and Violet from Bloodlines because and I shit you not, one of them wore a tan coat. As well as the absurdly generic dialogue line, "I was there, where were you?" being used both in the backdoor pilot and in 6x20 by Dean. Aha! David and Violet are clearly stand-ins for Dean and Cas, and they were planning to run away together, so D/C is clearly romantic, BOOM! Except literally nothing about Dean and Castiel's actual relationship lines up with that. In no sense were Dean and Castiel ever planning to run away from their families together - not at the point where Dean was calling Castiel out for pretending he didn't know where Dean was if he really wanted advice or otherwise. Unlike the actual parallels with Sam and Dean, there is no underlying narrative base. Likewise, hellers want to insist that Castiel is Dean's Colette. Aha! Cain said Dean is living his life in reverse, and he killed Collette last and his brother first, so since he said Dean would kill Castiel before Sam, Castiel=Colette, and Colette was a romantic partner, so Dean lurves the angel! BOOM! Just for the sake of being pedantic, let's break this nonsense down one more time. Cain lists Crowley as well as Castiel as people Dean will kill before Sam. Collette was special to Cain because she saw everything he was, never gave up on him, and was able to get him to drop the blade. Which is literally what Sam does during the time Dean has the Mark - meanwhile Castiel tries to get Dean to not go and slaughter the Stynes and fails and is ready to give up and kill Dean after he goes demonic. Which doesn't even get into the part where ... Cain is literally just wrong in telling his little fairy tale. Dean is not him. When given the choice of killing his brother, Cain does it. When given the choice of losing control, Cain does it. Dean tries to get Death to shoot him into outer space and then kills Death rather than actually kill Sam. Dean and Dean's love for his brother are both far stronger than Cain is capable of understanding. So the parallel life thing? Is fundamentally hooey anyway. Again, there's no narrative there for a parallel to be drawing an underline on because none of their cobbled together meta resembles anything going on in the actual text. That's not how storytelling uses parallels or any other kind of subtext, by creating something entirely separate and expecting the general audience to decipher it. Though it's no surprise they try to insist that a show would do that, because they have nothing else.
TLDR; Their entire argument is that a comparison to a romantic couple makes two other characters' relationship automagically romantic because reasons. Which even putting aside the lack of validity in their parallels ... continues to be a boldly idiotic statement given the number of actually textual comparisons the show makes between Sam & Dean and romantic couples. Again, it's no wonder they freaked the fuck out over that forehead touch, because they very fundamentally refused to understand what SPN was actually doing on literally any level.

I've been thinking of the people saying the ineffable bureaucracy relationship timeline was too fast compared to ineffable husbands
But honestly I think a thing a lot of people are missing here is that relationships aren't really comparable and everyone as a different experience with them. Sometimes yeah, it all happens rather quickly (ex: high-school sweethearts that get married right after high school) and sometimes it's incredibly slow and takes more time than a fucking crockpot and a 450k slowburn.
Beelzebub and Gabriel haven't known eachother for as long as ineffable husbands has, doesn't mean their relationship isn't as valid and that they're immediately going to get sick of eachother the second the honeymoon phase wears off. Ineffable Bureaucracy might have happened rather quickly for celestials but.. as someone who's in a relationship with the love of my life
When you're with that person, it feels like time itself stops, that it's just you and them. While also feeling that there's not enough time in the world where you would be satisfied with their company.
I get people's frustration that ineffable bureaucracy worked out and ineffable husbands is still in that damn crockpot, but IB had always talked and communicated, Crowley and Aziraphale don't talk about anything. Even if IH would've gotten together in season 2, it would have resulted in nothing but heartbreak and things not working out because they never talk to eachother about how they're feeling. Neil recently confirmed that Aziraphale didn't know that Crowley was living in his car because Crowley didn't tell him. Aziraphale still thinks that Heaven is all sunshine and rainbows despite everything Crowley tries to say about it.
IH would be an absolute nightmare of a relationship at the moment, you'd have 2 people that won't communicate to literally save their lives. Nina and Maggie said it perfectly in the last episode, they never talk to eachother.
And I'm not saying that Gabriel and Beelzebub are perfect either, they both have their very fair share of flaws, Bee takes their anger out on the people around them, and Gabriel is a manipulative little shithead at times, but the reason they're the foil to Crowley and Aziraphale is because they're willing to work through it. At the end of the day they're side characters and not all their dates will be shown on screen. It would take a lot more than 6 episodes to show all of them; and just because we're only shown a small snippet doesn't mean that their relationship isn't valid or that they're undeserving of their happy ending
TLDR: Ineffable husbands aren't ready for a relationship mentally and lack the commutative skills for it, while Ineffable bureaucracy got together while being open and honest. IB is meant to be a foil and just because it was fast doesn't mean their relationship isn't valid or unfair

Feel like I just watched a parenthesis ao3 fic with Taylor Swift lyrics….
Look was this season's storyline mostly a mess? Yes it was. Did they fill a lot of time that they could have used more efficiently? Also yes. Did they leave us SUFFERING? DEFINITELY INDISPUTABLY YES.
But the rest of that shit was straight up angst/romance fanfic?!?!?! I mean?!?!?!
Angel Crowley/Aziraphale and Crowley before the creation
Validating the fandom headcanon that Crowley did in fact fall instantly in love in Eden, to the point he thinks that shielding someone from the rain and gazing into their eyes is the A+ number one way to get humans to fall in love
Also validating the fandom headcanon about Aziraphale finally realizing it in 1941
ALL THE MARRIED COUPLE BICKERING JESUS?!?!?!
THEY WERE INDISPUTABLY, INCREDIBLY, UNFATHOMABLY MARRIED
AZIRAPHALE JUST LIKE HONEY I AM DRIVING UP TO EDINBURGH IN YOUR OUR CAR AND CROWLEY BEING LIKE OKAY FINE BUT I AM STILL NOT HAPPY ABOUT IT
And CALLING AZIRAPHALE TO COMPLAIN THAT HE WAS MESSING WITH THE CAR WITHOUT PERMISSION
Crowley in the bookshop without his jacket AND WITHOUT HIS GLASSES (UNTIL THE LAST SCENE YOU KNOW)
Crowley rushing to Aziraphale's rescue with "Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy" blaring
The whole "how long have you been together/is the bookseller your side piece/do you have a husband because you're a walking gay disaster" scene with Crowley and Nina
The constant sitting at tables with candles! And roses!
EVERYONE IN THE BACKGROUND WAS QUEER??
JOB'S SASSY GAY SON! (DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THAT EPISODE! I AM SUFFERING!)
THE MAGICIAN AND THEIR TRANS SPOUSE
THE RANDOM GUY WITH GRINDR ON HIS PHONE
NINA AND MAGGIE OBVS
THEY REALLY SAID "YES WE SEE SANDMAN S1 WAS VERY GAY AND IT MADE SOME BIGOTS UNHAPPY, LET'S DOUBLE DOWN, JUST MAKE IT MORE GAY FOR EVERYONE"
GOD BLESS
and of course THE LAST SCENE
WITH THE BIG DRAMATIC LOVE CONFESSION AND CROWLEY'S "I WOULD LIKE TO SPEND..." LIKE THEY HAD THAT MAN WHOLEASS PROPOSING I WAS NOT READY
FOLLOWED BY THE BIG DAMN KISS (TM)
and AZIRAPHALE THINKING THEY CAN BE TOGETHER IF THEY GO BACK TO HEAVEN AS ANGELS TOGETHER WHICH IS OBVIOUSLY THE LAST THING CROWLEY WANTS
"I NEED YOU"
AND THEN OF COURSE IT ALL GOES TERRIBLY WRONG BECAUSE OF COURSE IT DOES
SECOND ACT CLIFFHANGER MY BELOVED BELOATHED
wow there are a lot of capital letters in this huh

Mama MC after fighting against Riddle's mother: And do not dare more approaching this adorable angel who did not ask to have parents as horrible and pathetic as you!
My MC / OC / YUU : Yeah ! And if you ever insult my mother again, you will not imagine everything that will fall on you!
* Mrs. Rosehearts leaving school in Fury and a wick of hair less because herself upon combat *
Riddle who is always frozen because of the muscular interaction between his mother and Mama MC : * Is afraid to put one other angry side* Madame MC... You did not have to take my side ... I'm fine .. * Tears in the eyes *
Mama MC: * Finds his calm and smile tenderly to the boy with red hair * Oh my Darling, even if you had not been close to my Family, nothing would have stopped me from taking your defense. And I'm sorry to show you such a show, it was not very pleasant to watch I'm sure. The way your parents treated you throughout your childhood and until today is not an excuse, even if you are finally have become a brilliant person, I can not conceive that a parent deliberately causes his child to feel such distress, it's inconceivable for me. Do you understand, Riddle?
Riddle: * Gently nod * But what will I do now? Mother will never forgive me not to react to not have defended it ... And if she did not want me anymore?
My MC/ OC /YUU : In this case, it's his problem to do not realize how much she is lucky to have such a nice, devoted and intelligent son as you *Frowns* And for not even recognizing her mistakes when she came to visit you and you wanted to confide in it has open heart on your feelings and the problems you try to work today.
Riddle: * Sad * I love my mother, with all my heart. But ... it hurt me so badly when at the end of our discussion she rejected all the fault on me and saying that I did not do enough effort. As if since I was out of his sight, I had been released since I was entering the NRC ... I know I made mistakes that are my fact, not just that of my parents. Me. But I have been trying from the overblot episode to always question me, to take a fresh look at what to do or not to do. I try so much to improve my behavior, I don't want to hurt my friends and people anymore !
Mama MC Taking Riddle in his arms: I know, Sweet Pie. And we are all so proud of you for your efforts and struggle every day. * Takes riddle's face in cut in her hands to look straight in the eyes * I'm so proud of you, Riddle.
* After an emotional moment of cuddling and soft reassuring conversation *
Mama MC: Come dine with us tonight, my dear. Spend a family time will certainly make you good after all that!
Riddle: * Timidly * Family?
My MC /OC /YUU : Of course! From this moment you are officially adopted and nothing will change my mother's opinion or mine!
* Riddle, about to cry with joy *
Crowley in the background: * Sigh * I guess the family of my sweet dove is growing. Once again. I would better prepare adoption papers soon, but before that I must convince my wonderful that I really want to get married with her.

Rewatching series 2 of Good Omens. There is a common theme I'm seeing. Aziraphale steam rollering over Crowley.
Asking him for help and then telling him to go when he doesn't get right on board.
Pressuring him to let him drive his car when he makes it clear he doesn't want to.
Not wanting to hear his plan.
Completely ignoring him when there are demons literally attacking his shop.
Over and over he makes plans without including Crowley and expects him to just follow. And Crowley does.
I can not fathom the reason why Aziraphale said yes to the Metatron, not after what happened in series 1. But it probably never even occurred to him that Crowley wouldn't follow him. From his perspective, he's the one who's been rejected.
Meanwhile Crowley has no home, no job and no purpose other than Aziraphale. When Azirphale tells him to leave if he isn't going to help him in episode 1, the hurt in Crowley's voice was, really upsetting, because if Aziraphale rejects him, he has literally nothing. Even if it wasn't intended that way, it felt manipulative.
We joke that they're like an old married couple, and they are, just a very dysfunctional codependent couple who could really use some couples therapy.

Thoughts on Good Omens season 2 over all? I had a great time with it. I see some people saying the plot was kinda thin and the side characters boring, and I sort of agree, but I showed up to watch Aziraphale and Crowley so I didn’t really mind that the rest of it was nothing special. I thought they did a great job showing the strange limbo they’ve been in, where they’re closer than ever in some ways but still haven’t come to a true understanding. And they have such great old married couple energy the whole way through!
I had issues with the Lindsey aspect of the whole Nina/Maggie plot line because I understood Nina and Maggie being mirrors for Crowley and Aziraphale and Lindsey being a stand in for Heaven/Hell dictating how they should act but I was also like, I mean Nina is in an emotionally abusive relationship and to just kind of throw that in and not really do much with it and only use it as a parallel to Aziraphale and Crowley's situation is unfulfilling for me, otherwise I didn't really mind Maggie and Nina, I just kind of felt like there should be more filled in with them if they were going to be a fixture in the season.
In terms of Aziraphale and Crowley, I did think they did a good job in showing how close they've gotten with the details like Crowley knowing Aziraphale's tones of voice
Tumblr media
or him being like I understood what you said in French because you've spoken about it for 250 years
Tumblr media Tumblr media
or how Aziraphale will just tell him to order him a sherry and what I seem to naturally do with relationship dynamics like this one is focus on the person in the relationship whose feelings are evident and there and clear but not as plainly conveyed as the other. So, for instance, Crowley is the one who Nina and Maggie speak to
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Crowley is the one who kisses Aziraphale
Tumblr media
Shax speaks of Crowley's devotion to Aziraphale
Tumblr media
I think the audience is a bit more aligned with Crowley coming to terms with how he feels than with Aziraphale because of direct lines like this
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
so I naturally focus on Aziraphale and his feelings for Crowley and how they're portrayed because I don't find it to be as plain as the aforementioned and therefore a little more interesting to observe, like the fact that Aziraphale has diary entries of his various adventures with Crowley (peak crush behaviour)
Tumblr media
and that's why this is my favourite part of the season
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
because this, to me, says more about Aziraphale than Crowley, a) because like I said before, Aziraphale is positively tickled to be saved by Crowley b) making Crowley happy makes him happy even when they're in immediate danger.
So, what I found interesting about their dynamic this season is that while Crowley may "move too fast" for Aziraphale with suggesting running off together, in a lot of ways, Aziraphale is already comfortable with things we see Crowley coming to terms with in real time i.e. Aziraphale already knew in the 40s that they would always get each other off the hook (Crowley knew because he'd been coming through for Aziraphale for a very long time by that point as well but he's not comfortable with admitting it)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
he was already comfortable with the knowledge he'd put his life in Crowley's hands, that he trusted him absolutely
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
or things like publicly showing some form of intimacy
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and Crowley being like wait what?
Tumblr media
and in that sense, Aziraphale is the one who pushes Crowley and is the one who's actually moving faster
Tumblr media
even in the first episode while Crowley natural talks about them as a pair, he doesn't call attention to it
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and when he reverts from talking about them as a unit to talking about himself
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aziraphale immediately calls attention to the fact that there is in fact a "them", he verbalizes it
Tumblr media
and he has no problem admitting that he both needs and wants Crowley by his side
Tumblr media
so it was interesting seeing these things and this intimacy and this personal development of acknowledging how much they mean to each other while they also have fundamental ideological differences that in the past had compelled the other to look at things from a different point of view but in the end (of the season) ends up ripping them apart.

Fave shows tag game
Rules: List 5 favourite shows (in no particular order) and answer questions accordingly.
Life on Mars
Good Omens
Mad Dogs
Loki
Psych
@loki-is-my-kink-awakening Thank you so much for the tag lovely!! Putting my answers to the questions behind the cut 😊
1. Who is your favourite character in 2?
Oh no not this😅 Don't wanna start off totally indecisive but In all honesty Aziraphale and Crowley are such a package deal I've never been able to decide who I liked more so both it is!
2. Who is your least favourite character in 1?
Probably Frank Morgan since he's meant to give everyone the creeps and totally untrustworthy but if we're talking main cast then Ray because everyone else is just too good ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
3. What's your favourite episode of 4?
Episode two THE beloved my one and only 🥺💖 12/10 would gladly watch Owen and Tom sit around chatting and mirroring the cafeteria vibes either as Lokius or themselves for the rest of my days
4. What is your favourite season of 5?
Gotta be S2!! All the earlier seasons are gold so was very tempted by the latter half of S3 but S2's like a tour de force
5. What's your favourite relationship in 3?
Baxter and Quinn would an obvious one since John and Phil are married in every role and this is no exception but the dynamic between Baxter and Rick is so weirdly fascinating?? They just clash so instantly, usually to great disaster but will never stop themselves or learn from their mistakes, absolutely obsessed tbh
6. Who is your anti relationship in 2?
I don't really have one?? If pressed I wasn't interested in Anathema and Newt being shoved together for no real reason or the implication of ending up with someone because you're told but I don't have any active dislike for them or their pairing
7. How long have you watched 1?
Well I was pretty late to pick the show up and watched for the first time around three years ago, have since rewatched the entire series at least 5 times in full, and various clips more times than I could ever count lol
8. How did you become interested in 3?
Thank my url namesake, lol. Truly the most stunning TV experience start to finish I've had with a flawless all star cast and just criminally underrated show in general!!
9. Who is your favourite actor in 4?
🤣🤣 Feel as if I've walked right into this one and y'all don't even need to hear the answer but that would be Owen Wilson, whose take on Mobius has honestly been life changing for me 💖
10. Which show do you prefer 1, 2 or 5?
Oh man as much as I adore Psych I'm stuck between Life on Mars and Good Omens on this one... Oh this is the worst, okay, I'm going... Life on Mars! When taking the point of how much I love both main pairs out of the picture there are more elements of and characters in LoM I think I enjoy more
11. Which show have you seen more episodes of 1 or 3?
I've watched both fully through multiple times but Life on Mars just edges by with having more episodes so that'll be the one!
12. If you could be anyone from 4, who would you be?
Loki or Ravonna just for sheer proximity of how much time would be spent around Mobius lmao, literally my only primary consideration
13. How would you kill off your favourite character in 5?
Laughing so hard at this because ironically my favorite character in Psych has pondered many scenarios potentially resulting in his own death lmao. If necessary he'd probably prefer a blaze of glory gunfight but I don't think he'd mind being taken out by his favorite land mine going off?? "Sweet music. And then…nothin' but red mist." 😂
14. Would a 3/4 crossover work?
Not necessarily unless you mean would it work in terms of turning me on in ways I've yet to experience in this life because yes, yes, and YES 😳😳
15. Pair two characters in 1 that would make an unlikely, but strangely okay couple.
Idk if it would be the most unlikely but Sam and Chris would've been cute and I always enjoyed how earnestly Chris ended up admiring Sam's approach to the work and who he is as a person
16. Overall, which show has the better cast, 3 or 5?
I mean Mad Dogs is my favorite show of all time in part because of how talented the cast is in balancing their roles and I can't see that changing plus I'd follow those guys anywhere

What is your top five episodes of Supernatural?
Hey there! Thanks for sending me your ask!
So, I have a really hard time answering this question since I haven’t actually ever sat down and chosen an overall top 5. I even have a hard time coming up with one favorite episode of a season, or even favorite season order, never mind narrowing down to top 5 episodes. I could probably give you my top 5 episodes of each season (maybe even top 3) with reasonable confidence, lol. My favorites do change sometimes depending on a rewatch or how I’m feeling at the time.
Still, I’ll give answering this ask a try. I'm going to go with the top episodes that come to my mind right now, which are all always among my faves. These aren’t all episodes that I consider to be technically the best, but ones that I consistently enjoy for the majority of the episode, I skip no (or almost no) parts when I watch it, and that I don’t really get tired of on rewatching, so ones I enjoy most.
I don't know if you’re actually interested in my reasons, or only curious about which episodes, so I’ll just make a quick note for each.
**EDIT** I’m so sorry, I literally couldn’t narrow it down. Here are my Top 10 Instead. 🤷‍♀️ . Episodes are under the cut since this got long.
My Top 10 (as of today and in no particular order):
1) Scarecrow (1x11) - Sam and Dean have their first brother "break up" and basically spend the episode pining. Intro to Meg. Creepy monster.
2) Tall Tales (2x15) - I literally put this episode on when I go to bed. It’s funny, low angst, unique in its storytelling style and the brothers having a prolonged bitch-fest while Bobby is exasperated is amusing to me.
Tumblr media
3) What is and What Should Never Be (2x20) - Heartbreaking, AU done right (I’m looking at you pointedly, Season 13), showing how important being close to Sam is to Dean, Preppy Law-school Sam, Marry, Jessica
4) A Very Supernatural Christmas (3x8) - the monsters hit the exact right tone and are really amusing, the end scene with the brothers doing Christmas is both heartwarming and heartbreaking. Their silent communication is fantastic.
Tumblr media
5) Mystery Spot (3x11) - the shift in tones from light to dark, "six months later," ridiculous deaths, unhinged Sam
Tumblr media Tumblr media
6) When the Levee Breaks / Lucifer Rising (4x21-22)- so angsty and painful, but in a good way (yeah, I cheated with 2 episodes, but they go together).
7) The Point of No Return (5x18) - Sam has so much faith in Dean, and Dean can’t bear letting Sam down, Adam, other characters' reactions to the boys ⬇️
Tumblr media
8) The Man Who Knew Too Much (6x22) - Jared is frigging awesome at playing 3 versions of Sam. Concerned Dean. Interesting setup
Tumblr media
9) Sacrifice (8x23) - the whole episode, but especially the church scenes: Sam and Crowley, but especially Sam and Dean. The acting from both Js is just … chef's 😘
Tumblr media
10) Red Meat (11x17) - Sam is a badass. Dean is Romeo. Unhinged excellence. (This is also an great episode to come after Safe House which I also really like.)
Tumblr media
Okay, so I'm still missing a bunch of episodes that I love, or have parts that I might like more than the ones listed above, but some I left out because they make me too sad or there are long portions I tend to skip on rewatches.
Thanks again for your ask. I hope I didn’t give you way more than you wanted.
What are your top 5 ( or 10)?

Hi Steph, lots of love from Germany! 🩵💙🧡 In your reply to the switch theory you wrote that you think switching will come up later in s3 (instead of having happened at the end of s2. and I totally agree with that, the seasons theme was love, pining and miscommunication, that had to culminate in something 😂)
But yeah, my theory is that Aziraphale and Crowley will join/celestial-marry/ "merge/fuse"(??) in some way and become very powerful that way. (Although if they fuse probably not permanently) Because
a) they're crazy strong together
b)when discorporated in s1e5 Aziraphale says sth like "I wish I could inhabit your body, but we'd probably burst into flames" and I don't think that was a set-up for the switch in s1e6, because I think they didnt actually swap bodies just made theyre own body look like the other (I think?) Azzi's physical body couldn't withstand hellfire, right? So that's not happened yet.
c) didn't you write they started out as one character in the book writing process? And in an interview for s2 David Tennant said that usually Michael Sheen and him would compete for the same part and now they're playing the same character split into two.
...Thanks for coming to my ted talk. 😂 What do you think? Wishing you a very lovely evening! I really love reading your blog! It's so... cosy on here. AZ Fell's Bookshop vibes 💛🩵💙🧡
(Referencing this post)
Hey Lovely!
Firstly I'm SO happy you enjoy my blog! :) That's high praise to be compared to Azzie's Bookshop, oh GOSHLES!! Thank you so much!! I'm having a blast being in this fandom, feels like the heyday of BBC Sherlock, hahahh. I'm hoping this blog turns into another "light" success and people just come here to feel "at home" you know? LOL.
Secondly, yeah, having another think on the Switch Theory, now that it's been a couple months and more of my own theories have formed about S2, I lean more on the "not a fan" side of it. For me it's the erasure of the emotional impact and the IMPORTANCE of their miscommunication that The Final Fifteen gave us, and honestly, there's too many loose threads that just... can't work with that theory. After sitting on it for some time, the big one for me is that Crowley-in-the-car-getting-upset-at-the-music at the end makes NO SENSE if it was A-As-C; No one would be watching him, why continue the act? And Aziraphale's gentle touch-and-cry reaction to the kiss makes NO SENSE if it was C-As-A. I dunno. I can totally see why people support the Theory, but it's not for me. I'm a creature of "I need things to make sense" and too much DOESN'T make sense with it, is all.
And you're right, S2's theme WAS about showing us the development of their relationship, how important they are together, so that the end of E6 would DEVASTATE US, having us wanting more than ever for them to get back together. It was meant to show how truly made for each other they are, just they're two idiots sharing a single braincell and that braincell is emotionally dumb lol.
That all said, I have a similar thought as yours that I've been hemming-and-hawing about for a couple weeks after rereading my own theories to possibly clean them up a bit. While I DON'T think they will "merge" into one being, I DO think that they will combine their powers together in the penultimate episode to "win" (I say penultimate because I have hopes that the final ep will be them moving in together, but I know realistically, a climax can't happen an hour before the end in a story LOL).
BUT I also like your theory as well, because story-wise, the hints have ALREADY been dropped for it since S1, as you mentioned in your points A and B. There was no need for a switch, and I DON'T think it will happen again. BUT the purpose of the switch was to show that Crowley and Azzie's powers are COMPATIBLE. THAT is what's important here, and it sets up their Together Miracle in S2. And if we're going on the idea that in S3 they'll finally be in-sync and that they only get MORE powerful the more comfortable and "on-the-same-page" they get, well, yeah, I think Heaven and Hell will be wise to leave them be.
As for your point C, yes I did mention that, I BELIEVE in my BIG roundup meta for S4, but it might also be in my 'Crowley’s Past: Was Crowley Archangel Camael?' meta, since I recall doing a LOT of research for that, including trawling through Neil's blog for quotes. But yes, I actually recently saw the gifset with that interview, I think it's in my queue LOL. Neil did confirm ages ago, way back in S1 that early drafts of the book did have them as one character, which is why I think it's MORE likely that their powers are going to be combined instead.
Either way, I think the ONLY theory I absolutely am 100% against is the "they're going to become human" one, because I hate that the condition to their love must be "to love like a human they must be human" and that's just... UGH not on for me. I remain hopeful that that's not the route that their gonna go, since Gabe and Beez didn't become human, and it was a CLEAR mirror for the AziraCrow relationship (a foreshadowing of sorts).
And because I'm thinking of it right now and don't want to forget to write it somewhere, another thing that CONSTANTLY brought up is Alpha Centauri; I hope that they honeymoon there at the end of S3, it'll be a nice payoff for its constant referencing, LOL. And they can't do that if they're human LOL. I want them to spend the next 6000 years and beyond together <3
Thank you again so much for your ask!! Sorry I took a bit to reply, just got home from a road trip and I finally had a bit of free time to reply <3

episode 4! I wanted to knit a bit while I watch but I remain insanely tired so gentle watching it is.
that single raised eyebrow ME-OW Aziraphale you are so catty I love youuuuu
Aziraphale is. very bad at this. although the look of pure gay panic at the 'i heard you two were an item' whooooo
hm, interesting that the credits seem to be going hard for the minisodes
this little moment revisiting 1941....the first series was so soft, so loving. It throws into relief how discordant this season is. They are the same, of course, Aziraphale still fell in love and had his books saved but they're...brittle, they're both so brittle.
Mark Gatiss' terrible German accent is my delight
AZIRAPHALE THIS IS YOUR MOMENT
...zombies?
god I love reece shearsmith so much, maybe I will rewatch A Field in England tomorrow
ok i'm being won over by the zombie thing
Aziraphale you are SHIT at blacking out the shop goodness
this is the only time Aziraphale is truly happy isn't it, my bby
i'm sorry crowley doing an american gi just absolutely murdered me, here endeth the liveblogs what the fuck
ok i'm back Crowley LOVES splodey things bless his little heart
once again, I do not do well with cringe humor so i'm listening to this next bit
aziraphale what is your fascination with guns
crowley would really like to be excluded from the narrative, please, although on the other hand getting to shoot aziraphale is probably looking better and better from his perspective.
the slow acquisition of the disguise is actually pretty funny
did...did he just have the placard hanging around. I like to think he did
time to listen again!!! michael sheen you are too good at being awkward!! neil and john you are too good at writing awkward moments for aziraphale!!!
gosh that david tennant sure can wear a coat
crowley you know you do kinda want to shoot your husband rn
politely, this is a terrible trick, but it *is* the best moment of Aziraphale's life
MILES
Furfur might be my new favorite character
oh what a lovely League of Gentleman moment, i love this
'and you did' oh look i died again my heart i love them so much
'crowley's pet' Shax you would do NUMBERS on AO3
the bentley loves him i'm crying
god i just want them to be a dorky old married couple *sob*

My freshly collected thoughts about season two of good omens. (Not spoiler free!!)
First off, the negatives bc I need to talk about why I loved this season but before that, oh man.
I think you can really feel a decline in the quality of the dialog. Of course the characters were still fun and the banter works but I just feel like it was much simpler? Not everywhere, but there were some scenes where I did specifically noticed it. I also felt like the pacing was....irritating. The last episode ended up being jam-packed with so many things and some early episodes felt like they were dragged out, without any story happening. I missed some form of look back at the story from season one, it felt a bit disconnected but then again years have passed so it didn't bother me that much. Now the ending. My first reaction was why the hell was it necessary?? My prediction to this season was that through the parallel of Maggie and Nina our sweet sweet ineffable husbands would realize that oh!! they're also in love. I won't go into too much detail about what I thought would happen bc basically none of it came true lmao but I really did think we'd get them a happy although complicated ending. In the last scene, Aziraphale did feel like he regressed right back into his season 1, early season self. I'm not saying his decision and actions feel completely disconnected from his overall character but their arc this season was so sweet, they really showed how much they relied on each other (carved it out for ourselves and everything). And in this context I feel like he wouldn't have abandoned Crowley like that. And I know Aziraphale holds so many complicated feelings towards heaven, they just felt so much closer than that. But alas. The angst is beautifully painful, I have to admit.
Now the good part!
I am so happy we got to see pre-fall Crowley :") (he is never beating the babygirl allegations). Also I cannot believe their meetcute was the creation of our universe 😭. The historical flashbacks own my heart, I was very happy we got so many of them. Especially the Job part, it gave so much more context to their relationship and to me put a lot of what we see even in season one in a new and exciting perspective. They acted so incredibly married the whole season 😔 Crowley taking care of the bookshop, giving him the car, CROWLEY SMILING ABOUT NINA AND MAGGIE ??? he was so adorable. The fact that Aziraphale knows how much it means to Crowley to look after him????? All of these things just made the ending more painful but they were very well done. You also can't analyze this season without talking about the acting. John Hamm was amazing, memory loss Gabriel was so funny I wish he had a little more room to play with this situation but we obviously can't have everything. David and Michael were amazing per usual. Their dynamic is so incredible, the way they use a certain voice for these characters, the little mannerisms and facial expressions I loved in season one absolutely return and are maybe turned up to a 150% and I loved every minute of it. You can really tell that they wanted us to feel how well these two idiots work together, and just how much they care about one another. Their flashbacks and the way they talk to each other still makes me smile, and gives you that sort kf warm feeling. Like it'd be nice to be around them.
To summarize, I'm not completely happy with how this season played out and some of the creative decisions are foggy to me but it got me right back at 2019, being excited and emotional. I missed this show so much, I love these characters so much and I cannot wait to see where season 3 takes us. (BC THERE WILL BE A SEASON 3 STREAM IT PEOPLE STREAM. IT.)

Watching the end of Good Omens Season 2 felt like watching the moon landing, and I think I've finally figured out why. It's not the first time there have been outed queer characters on TV shows. It's not the first time there's been a queer love scene / kiss on TV. That alone isn't ground-breaking.
But for my entire life, I've consumed media that put the hetero couple into the main spotlight with token queer background characters, a lot of them killed off in a "bury your gays" trope. Or I've watched an ongoing series and developed queer ships that always left me a little disappointed when the romantic tension I perceived on screen was quashed with the introduction of a chemistry-lacking hetero love interest, or even simply brushing off the characters as "they're just good friends, because No Homo."
I've gotten used to this. I've come to expect it -- to always look deeply into the subtext, analyzing what's going on underneath the dialog and actions. Are these characters gay? Here is my 20-page literary analysis paper in which I go over every line, every detail, to argue that there's justifiable reason to believe something there that's not blatantly spelled out in words. (I literally did this with Hotspur in my graduate-level Shakespeare class because I absolutely needed someone to agree with me that this married character was so very, very gay, despite a surface-level "no homo" reading.) And it's still never "proof" -- just my opinion, which I can shout into the void until I'm hoarse.
And isn't that just what we do in slash fandom? We write our own endings. We refashion the stories we love to override that little disappointment that the original work gives us, as much as we still love it.
With Good Omens, there was already a strong fandom pairing Aziraphale and Crowley. I read the book after watching both seasons, so I can't say how strong that fandom was before those came out. But one of the things that struck me about the book was that there wasn't nearly the same vibe between the characters as there was in the first season. Hell, they weren't even the central characters of the book. And while the book says that people assume Aziraphale is gay, it's quick to say "but he's not; angels aren't sexual." No homo.
He and Crowley are...maybe friends? Associates? But there's certainly no scene with Crowley crying into a bottle of whiskey after Aziraphale disappears in the way he does in S1. It's like Book Crowley isn't allowed to have queer feelings because No Homo, especially not when he's maybe-friends with a maybe-homo. And it's not really surprising, considering the book was written in the '80s -- when gay rights was pushed back 20 years due to the AIDS epidemic.
And even with S1, it wasn't blatantly spelled out that either of them were queer. The aforementioned line about a gay Aziraphale didn't make it into the script (though he does refer to himself as "the Southern pansy"). We got some excellent scenes to rile up the fandom with somewhat-romantic dialog and actions. Still, on the surface, the reaction could still easily be "Hey, that looks maybe-possibly kind of gay? If you look at it just right. Here's my 20-page essay explaining why they're gay." And at the end of the season, Aziraphale and Crowley simply dine at the Ritz. Nothing explicitly gay there, unless you dig for it.
And then Season 2 said, "Hold my beer." And we got a full season of slow-burn romance at the forefront. The business with Gabriel was a ruse; the whole thing was about Aziracrow and their relationship from start to finish. We started out with the expected subtext, suggestive dialog, surreptitious glances. I remember thinking, "this is nice; I'm glad we're getting more time to just enjoy these two on the screen together." And then it kept building, and building, and building.
And finally, Episode 6 gave us "YES, HOMO." And after a lifetime of never seeing one of my ships amount to anything on screen, there it was, in all its devastating glory. They went there. That's what felt like the moon landing to me. It's something that seemed so far off to be impossible until it wasn't.
