BG3 Act 1 thoughts and liveblog part 1
With super long games like this (finished in about 110 hours) I like to take notes to 1) remind me of stuff I did at the beginning of the game and 2) to enjoy looking back on because I'm not doing another playthrough for a few years.
Going to suffer through the spider and half spider people since the mods don’t fully work yet and they disable achievements
Going for dark urge first playthough along the lines of Durge is guard dog to those they imprint on and I knew I was rolling a bard, so I watched clips of Felix RedvsBlue as a good starting point for my character roleplay. Starting character quote “At the end of the day, if I'm stronger than you and if I'm faster than you, then I can kill you! And that's better than anything money can buy”
Trying Not to be a “charismatic mercenary with gruff exterior and a heart of gold”
I killed Commander Zhalk in the beginning area with viscous mockery. True bard experience
Passed the perception check of Astarion pulling a knife, some fun dialgoue options with him, and its a delight to hear his tone of voice really change
I can’t tell if Gale is just flirty/horny or really just dedicated to the facade of being surface deep and a braggart to mask his secrets. Seems both and though he seems full of himself I enjoy this kind of companion who lies about things
I think I like the inspiration mechanic, I got a point for killing the mindflayer “leaving it to burn”
I’m really having to force myself to be “that asshole” and ask people to pay me for helping them
Got another inspirational event for killing the cultists lol. The game gives me a lot of options to talk about my dark urge but I really want to play that close to the chest
I don’t really know about pre-rewrite version of Wyll but he really seems a good alignment nice dude, and unfortunately I want to be almost evil/neutral Dark Urge.
Had to reload to save Nadira, I’m struggling with interrupting actions outside of turn by turn combat
Rapheal sure makes an entrance, my character turned him down but didn’t attack since he seemed so powerful. Keep my options open but it seems like there are a lot of options there
Gale is fucking lucky I had a extra piece of enchanted gear so I didn’t lose my very nice sword. I also feel like I’m throwing away some approval points by my character questioning him but I’m trying to play someone who isn’t altruistic or too trusting.
Ok I failed several perception checks for a kid stealing my stuff then I caught the last one, but then the kid ran off and everyone in the hideout ran out. I’m not sure if anything was still stolen from me or if this is a a bug
RIP Alfira, was not expecting that from the dark urge. I chose to confess to the others, if my character is murdering people in my sleep only fair to explain and not hide
My character told Karlach to tear the place apart as catharsis for being hunted, and it was fun to see that scripted sequence play out
Gale is telling me his unstable magic backstory, but he’s doing it at camp so there is no reaction for anyone else during the conversation despite him saying he wanted to tell everyone. (edit: Not sure if a bug considering he also referenced being mind whammied by the Almighty before that had occurred in the goblin camp). Also deeply ironic he talks about understanding if my character wants him to leave since he’s a literal timebomb, but this is happening a day after D!urge pc killed someone brutally
Also incredibly funny Lae’zel is now interested in my character, and will sleep with me considering her dialogue post D!urge murder
Wyll gets turned by his patron demon into a semi horned being, ok so I guess just seeing what he looks like shows the obvious decision you made with Karlach
Wtf is up with Wyll, that he’s so proud he made his pact when it was just made obvious he was sent on basically an assassination mission. All his talk of “saving innocents” wonder how many innocents he’s killed from bad intel
The trifling child gang hideout is very bugged
Perception check for the swamp reveal was really cool
I haven’t been taking many long rests so I just now got the Astarion vampire one. Fun to see all the options if you let him kill you, but I save scummed to let him really go for then stop for roleplaying purposes
I actually realized I was right by the vampire hunter so I loaded a save where Astarion hadn’t revealed himself yet and fun how different it goes, he will kill the vampire hunter out of combat to keep his secret if you don’t intervene and that’s very fun. It also gets brought up when he tries to feed on you for the first time at camp, but I haven't found a dialogue option where you can say “weird coincidence the guy called you by the same name”
Got the scene at the goblin area where the party would get mind whammied if not for the mysterious artifact. I’m really trying to pick a moment when my character would go from “more people is better odds” to “ride or die for certain characters” and I think this is a good point along the line of “oh if these people aren’t with me then they’ll immediately be soldiers against me”
I really enjoy how Astarion treats you like a fool if you say he’ll be safe because you would protect him from Cazador, in the cliche all power player character here to fix the companion’s problems. I mean my character still said it of course because that was my favorite of the 3 options at that point. Interesting I only now can ask about what offer Raphael made, like that was hours and hours ago but guess it needed specific dialogue flags
No other game has given me an S&M scene like this for a stat buff where its fun and horny. I love Gale’s “well whatever you’re into”. The first time I did the scene (pun intended) Astarion was standing a little too far away, so I only got Shadowhearts dialogue, but its much better with them talking back and forth
My character told Shadowheart she doesn't care that she worships Shar but more along the lines of not that she likes Shar its just she don’t really care about religion
I am majorly arachnophobic so I just covered up the screen and freed the spiders so the goblins would kill them
My character asked the priestess to meet alone then assassinated her with Astarian cloaked to get an extra out of combat turn. I expect to do this setup a lot more
I found a Selunite outpost and went down there, then reloaded since that seems way too big an area to explore right now
Setting up Minthara to be doublecrossed was a great tactical way to clear out the goblin camp, especially since I’m out of short rests
Killed Dror Ragzlin with barrelmancy, aka stole a bunch of explosive barrels and put them around him and the crowd and then exploded them from the rafters above
Note to self in however many hours when I get to Baldur’s Gate, see how Ronan’s apprenticeship faired (I bet not well)
Astarion calling my character darling and saying he’s going to like me and it's clear I like him too, definitely feels like he’s rolling to seduce and being a bit manipulative so she will like him (tangent: Margaery Tyrell was one of my favorite GoT characters kinda similar vibes)
My character was upfront about enjoying it but very funny to say that a less trusting person would be suspicious and have him vouch that the only thing on his mind was carnal lust. I tried the immediate agreement then reloaded and I love that his response feels very different like he’s succeeded in a seduction check.
I made my dream visitor a hot masc teifling and there is big horny energy with his scenes
Got the “morally acceptable massacre” for defending the grove. I created some barricades out of crates, blew up the sappers with fire arrows and then the enemies were just trapped at the bottom as I killed them with archery. Took a few tries for barricade positioning but then was easy and none of the tieflings died
I’d like to think my D!urge character would love massacring the goblins, in the same way she enjoyed getting the Knoll leader to kill the others then kill themselves brutally. Sort of a “I just love killin’” character approach, but my D!urge character dislikes that the Dark Urge takes away her control.
My character absorbed Minthara’s tadpole at the prompting, I figured my character would be all about gaining power she could control. Astarion certainly had a very camp approval option.
I then used 4 Ithilid powers across Astarion, Gale, and myself really just to get rid of the menu icon being bright red and distracting
Oh wow I completely missed doing Kagha’s secrets until now, so I could tell Halsin but not much else happens
Didn’t expect my character could talk Lae’zel into using the tadpole powers and make a good persuasion attempt with Kalrach, and then persuaded everyone else. Playing a charismatic character is fun, she is manipulative af

for the oc ask !!
one of my first skyrim ocs was a dragon shifter. kinda silly cuz as far as i know theres not rly dragon shifters in elder scrolls, just dragonborn and dragons and what not. his name was (and is, cuz whole hes no longer a skyrim oc, he is still a fantasy oc of mine) rohirr. pronunciation took me years to figure out but i realized it is just kinda heavily inspired by the dovah language? spoken, anyhow. like guttural, almost roar, kind of? so written out i guess its kind of like. " roh - heer " except the " roh " is audibly like. a grunt. or smth. it is so hard to write out the pronunciation bc idk how language works lmfao
but also his backstory was like he has a snowy mountain that he watches over and he protects lil babies (dragon babies) that have been cast out or whatever or need a Place before going off for realsies and he protected everything on the mountain except trespassers
that is not his story now but that Was his story and hes one of my fave ocs ever 🫶 he has a very special place in my heart, especially considering he is. probably my oldest oc ever that i still remember and have around <3 (in fact i made him as a dragonborn for my first bg3 playthrough ! hes that special to me)
Yippee! Rohirr lore! Lil guy! I think.
My very first Skyrim playthrough I played as a Khajiit named Fartact Ragcat (my father mercilessly mocked me for fart cat), and she didn't get very far because one day I accidentally switched to Special Edition and didn't know so I thought she was gone forever. (I have found her, but it's oldrim and I'm not gonna try to figure out what I was planning on doing way back when)
My SECOND playthrough was Jade Shoe, a Khajiit based on a Tabaxi DND character I had. She was a stealth archer.
Then it was Mariah Haven, who is the only one I'm gonna have join the Stormcloaks. Because she's a terrible person.
Then Luna and Armina (and also a Martin Septim playthrough) and those are for my 3 Dragonborns AU.
Then Lensa Philen, who's a Thalmor agent so deep in cover she... Forgot she was Thalmor and ended up saving the world and then settling down with Rumarin.
Nahala (I forgot how to spell her last name but it starts with an E) was my attempt at an all-mage playthrough. And then she got into the Dark Brotherhood and went absolutely batshit insane. Yippee!
Iriae is a Thalmor deserter who I'm actually writing a story about, and she's a little ball of traumatized who has too many issues to cover here.
Goober was a desperate attempt to make sure my mods worked after the update, but then I got attached to her and now she's just running around with her buddies.
I have too many Dragonborns. That's just the ones I can remember because I drew them.

Ok, so I finished the Fallout show! For the most part, it’s actually really good. If you ignore some of the timeline inconsistencies, it can be enjoyed in its own right as a piece of media. I really liked the Vault Mystery especially, and I think this is the one time where the justified villain trope wasn’t done in a way that made me super upset! Moldaver works because she hasn’t really done anything all that evil besides killing those vault dwellers in the first episode (which like, if you’ve played the games, you’ve done worse as a player character). The twist recontextualizes the series in a way that makes our main character seem like a bad guy, and Moldaver another protagonist! Also I was pretty worried about the Brotherhood, but nope. They’re pretty firmly evil in this show. I’m praying on their downfall.
Can I say I liked the show though?
I would if the final scene didn’t exist
They did so great but then they had to stumble and fall at the finish line. What do you MEAN they fucking destroyed New Vegas????
It’s like they saw people who liked New Vegas and, not understanding why, decided to add it to the show as a destroyed wreck! Who the fuck wanted to see that!
I don’t think a single person who played New Vegas was like “You know what would make Vegas better? If it fell and went back to dust!” So why in the WORLD was that added to the show??? Did they see the popularity of the Dust mod and think “well that’s what the people want to see!” NO! THAT’S NOT WHY PEOPLE PLAY DUST!
You know what, it’s too late to be coherent about it. Generally I liked the show but like. That final scene is just a slap in the face to everything the west coast games stood for. Maybe I’ll be better about it in the morning?
I don’t want to shit on anyone who liked the show. The show has a lot of good in it, and I would generally consider it to be good! I just have issues with that ending. Hopefully they see the feedback and backpedal, giving us the New Vegas we actually want to see (one that isn’t destroyed and devoid of life). Like shit I’d take the Legion ending over that. At least that has the potential to have an interesting plot
Obviously I still love fallout and by god I am watching season two bc there’s NO WAY THEY ACTUALLY THIS RIGHT?? I am in denial. However this does inspire me to really start up that TTW playthrough I’ve been procrastinating on!
Ok um disclaimer piss on the poor etc none of this is personal and these are my sleep deprived ramblings. It is not about you. Yes you, reading this post. You are valid in liking the show
Alright I’m gonna end this here. Um sorry

Capstone Action: Arizona EasterEgg
I elaborated on this project more in my other blog post on Hearts of Iron IV, but in short I and some friends are making a mod for the game in which each of our online friends gets to be the leader of a U.S. State. Since nobody really knows what they would do in a more serious simulator, we've all gotten incredibly silly with what we're introducing into the game, but recently I've taken it a whole step further. Without explaining the entire system, I began to recently dive into meta-game mechanics and made a hidden path for Arizona that is only possible over the course of multiple playthroughs. These meta-mechanics include: - Fulfilling certain requirements triggers a QR code to appear on the player's screen. - Scanning this code redirects to a website that prompts for a passcode. - The steps to get the passcode are hidden as the file name for the background image on the website. - Doing the steps as listed on the file triggers an audio cue in the game, which reads off a set of numbers in a robotic voice - Entering those numbers into the passcode box on the website prints a poem, which the player can decipher into steps to do in game. - Fulfilling those steps accesses a secret area where I've been putting a bunch of experimental features. This meta-game idea was inspired a bit by Mothered, as I mentioned in its own respective blog post. As for relevance to Capstone, I think the whole experience of making this happen has actually widened my frame of reference for where a videogame begins and ends. There is a whole avenue of creativity one can pursue when considering that not everything hinges on programming and the literal game. The scripting portion of this did teach me quite a bit about game design, but I believe that the more valuable takeaway has been an exercise in four-dimensional thinking.

To enhance the gaming experience further, players may consider buy PS5 games. While Remnant 2 may have a finite number of enemies, its gripping gameplay more than compensates for this minor limitation. The combat mechanics are finely crafted, delivering an intense and thrilling experience, even though it may not reach the grandeur of titles like Returnal. Each weapon in the game feels powerful and efficient, ensuring that battles against swarms of enemies are challenging yet enjoyable. The true highlights of Remnant 2 lie in its meticulously designed boss encounters, surpassing those in The Last of Us. These bosses offer memorable and thrilling moments, making players relish every second of the gameplay.

Remnant 2 offers players an abundance of additional skills and perks catering to all classes, making the gaming experience even more versatile. Weapons also receive similar treatment, with modding options that unlock alternative fire modes, ensuring combat remains engaging and dynamic. While the quality of boss battles in Remnant 2 leaves players in awe, some might wonder if the game would have been even more exceptional with handcrafted encounters instead of relying on procedural generation. Nevertheless, the masterful implementation of procedural generation results in a game that feels both familiar and refreshingly unique, successfully embracing proven concepts while maintaining its own identity.

The mod adds a large Asian-inspired manor with a modern Japanese interior. There are a total of five Victorian Style houses in this collection so if you’re not a fan of #2, make sure to check out the mod creator’s other creations.Īutumn Flower Domicile is one of the most ambitious mod in this particular category. Meanwhile, the third floor extends the second floor’s playroom and also includes a gym. The second floor features an additional two bathrooms, three more bedrooms, a playroom, and a nursery. On the first floor, you have your kitchen, dining room, guest bedroom, three living rooms, two bathrooms, and an office. This particular house is pretty huge and comes with three floors, each specializing in a certain area. This mod is part of a larger collection of houses designed to resemble Victorian Era mansions. This mod requires quite a few expansion packs in addition to Pets so make sure to check out the requirements before downloading. Although it mainly specializes in fish and things like that, here you can definitely also find everything you need for your cats and dogs too. Slithers and Critters Pet Shop is just what it sounds like and adds a new pet shop that specializes in small pets.
#The sims 3 kinky world rapists favorite victim mods
Looking for even more mods that revolve around pets? No problem. In addition to the Pets expansion pack, you’re also going to need the Ambitions EP in order to make good use of this mod.ĭownload Link Slithers and Critters Pet Shop Ambitious Additions was designed specifically with Petlandia Village in mind and perfectly complements the previous mod we discussed. Finally, the last lot is a bit more complex and features everything from a gallery and café to a drafting table, sculpting stations, and more. The next one is a laundromat cleverly disguised as an unassuming red and white barn. The first lot includes a tattoo chair and a makeover station complete with hair styling. This mod adds three new small lots to the game aimed at making your town more interesting.
#The sims 3 kinky world rapists favorite victim free
Petlandia Village is not populated so feel free to grab your pets and move in asap. Just as its name indicates, this mod is aimed at pet lovers so make sure you have the Pets expansion pack before downloading. Of course, there are also many homes of all sizes just waiting to be purchased. The village contains pretty much everything you might expect, including a school, a civic center, businesses, shops, hospital, research center, and more. Petlandia Village adds a new medium-sized land mass to the game with its own backstory and plenty of great real estate. Download links are available for each of the mods so don’t hesitate to grab them. That way, you can jump straight to the category you’re most interested in if you’re looking for something specific. There’s quite a large selection of mods available for this game so we’re going to break things down by category in order to make things a bit easier for you. With that in mind, in this article, we’re going to take a look at some of the absolute top mods of Sims 3 you shouldn’t play without in 2019. If you did, well, what better way to celebrate its impending 10-year anniversary than jumping in for another playthrough? Especially if you haven’t played it with mods until now. In other words, you owe it to yourself to check it out if you’ve never played it before. The other main reason is that in spite of its age, The Sims 3 is generally considered superior to its successor in many ways. For one, you can find a lot of mods out there that will greatly enhance your experience and make the game feel fresh again. That’s understandable, however, there a couple of reasons why you should still give this classic title a try. Looking for the best Sims 3 mods? You've definitely come to the right place! The Sims 3 was originally released on June 2, 2009, so the game isn’t exactly new anymore at this point and many would rather play its predecessor or even wait for the upcoming The Sims 5.

30 Best Mods For Kingdom Come: Deliverance You Have To Try – FandomSpot
Tumblr media
💾 ►►► DOWNLOAD FILE 🔥🔥🔥 Kingdom Come: Deliverance opens in new tab has a couple years under its belt now. If you're considering a new playthrough—or a first one with the benefits of a couples years of mod development—we've got a list of the best tweaks and fixes for you to try. There are still mods being developed for KCD, thanks in part to the official modding tools opens in new tab released by Warhorse Studios on Nexus Mods in KCD's commitment to realism is neat, initially, but can quickly become a bother. Several of the mods we've selected help to do away with helmet vision and other annoyances. Others, like the No GPS, bring back some realism. Whatever degree of immersion you like your big RPGs cooked to, the beset Kingdom Come: Deliverance mods have you sorted. And for those looking for console commands to enhance your experience in Kingdom Come: Deliverance, we've got a handy list of those console codes, too opens in new tab. Download link opens in new tab. KCD has some restrictions on when you can save your game, limiting it to when you sleep in a bed or drink 'Savior Schnapps' in addition to autosaves and saving upon exiting the game. The idea is that with limited saves players will be more careful with their decision-making and perhaps have to live with the choices they've made, good or bad. The idea of the Unlimited Saving mod, created by EddieShoe, is this: it's your game, so save whenever the heck you want. It allows you to save the game from the main menu at will, even if you don't have Schnapps in your inventory. There's still a hard limit of 30 saved games before it begins prompting you to overwrite one of them. This mod has been updated to work with patch 1. Sectorial Lockpicking, created by Tyddy, adds visual spokes to the 'wheel' of the locks you pick. This gives you a visual aid as to where to keep your cursor while turning the lock, instead of only being able to rely on the yellow hover zone I wrote a bit more about it here opens in new tab. It makes lock-picking a shade easier without making it completely easy. Poor Henry, his pockets are stuffed with weapons, food, and loot, and it's a bit hard for the lad to stay organized. While you can sort in categories, the A Sorted Inventory mod by Haslami inspired by another inventory sorting mod by Papirnehezek tags every item in the game with a prefix that gathers them into lovely alphabetical lists by item type. At a glance, you'll be able to quickly find what you're looking for. This mod is handy, literally: it allows you to do more with the hand resting on your mouse by adding extra functionality for your right mouse button. You can skip the intro movie, back out of cutscenes, close the map and inventory screens, skip through conversations, cancel haggling sessions, and much more. Very useful if you don't feel like tapping keys since you've already got a finger resting on that mouse button anyway. No need to memorize all its uses: it also adds a prompt onscreen. Your interest in this mod is probably proportional to the level of your herbalism skill. If you're an avid weed-picker, you may be annoyed by the fact that every time you harvest a plant, the game takes you out of first-person perspective and into third. The first-person herb-picking mod keeps you in first-person view while picking plants. If you're looking for a bit more of a challenge and added immersion, this No GPS mod will remove you from the map each time you use it. The basic version of the mod will still center the map on your location, but the full version will center on the spot you last added a map marker. Finding your way around will require a bit more work, since you won't simply see your precise spot on the map. For an even bigger challenge and more realism, there's also a mod that removes your compass. You'll have to start a new game to fully enjoy this mod, but Perkaholic by Xylozi adds perks to Agility, Unarmed, and your Bow skill. New perks for Agility will let you take even less damage from falling, while perks for Unarmed will give you faster sprinting speeds, more damage during combat, lessen the rate of bleeding from wounds, and more. Bow perks include greater accuracy, better odds for poisoning, and more frequent knockouts for striking an enemy in the head. The UI in KCD isn't exactly sleek, and the reticle onscreen at all times except when using your bow—more on that in a moment is a heavy yellow dot that isn't exactly attractive to stare at all day. Very Unintrusive Reticle by Lobuno de-colors the reticle and makes it mostly transparent, so you will barely see it unless you're really looking. If that's a little too unintrusive for your tastes, there's also a mod called Unintrusive Reticle opens in new tab by PcFreaky99 that you can try, which isn't as unintrusive at the Very Unintrusive one, but it still less intrusive than the vanilla one. I think that all made sense. Restore Halberds, a mod by Tahknall, turns polearms into primary weapons and displays the experience bar for your normally hidden polearms weapons proficiency. That means you can now equip, repair, and use polearms as either two-handed weapons or one-handed with a shield, on horseback or on foot. Roads Are Dangerous, created by Zaatch, is a mod for players looking for a bit more conflict while fast-traveling. It ups the chances of running into trouble while moving across the map, and includes an optional module that adds different types of enemy encounters, like the Merry Lads, who are bandits dressed as noblemen, and bigger, tough warriors called Berserkers. Let's face it: Henry is no superman, and that's by design. While it's natural he can't run or swing a heavy sword for very long without getting winded, you may not be a fan of how the game informs you that Henry is almost out of gas. The color drains from the screen and your vision blurs, and there are audio cues to tell you that you're low on stamina—but it's all pretty heavy-handed. The No Stamina Visual Effects mod by TheCorex comes in three versions: no visual cues, no sound cues, or both visual and sound cues removed meaning you'll have to keep your eye on your stamina meter to tell when you're out of juice. Remember that yellow reticle that perhaps annoys you because it's always present? Well, it may also annoy you that it vanishes when you use your bow. Some folks like it that way, making aiming more challenging, but others wouldn't mind a little aid when loosing arrows. Good hunting. I feel like everyone has a limit when it comes to how much realism we want in games. How much do we really want? Like, really? While it makes perfect sense that when you wear a helmet in a first-person game it would obstruct your vision, you may not really want that. Perhaps it's not realistic, but it may be more enjoyable. Apparently, volumetric fog exists for Kingdom Come: Deliverance, but it was left dormant by the developers. Volumetric Fog Enabler, by Moosan82, lets you turn it on if you'd like to add a little more atmosphere to your surroundings. It's making changes to lots of aspects of the game, tweaking carry weight, stamina regeneration, XP gain, jail time and punishments for crimes, random encounter chances, and more. The mod tunes the economy, making changes to vendor pricing and replenishment times, as well as tweaks to combat, making enemies more difficult in battle. It's even overhauling perks and visuals. The end goal is to make progression slower, the economy harsher, and combat more challenging. It incorporates a number of existing mods: check the mod page opens in new tab to see exactly which ones, and to read a more thorough description of Dark Times or to submit feedback if you've tried it. It's perhaps a minor annoyance, but still: having to press E every time you launch the game because the narrator wants to tell you the same thing he's told you every time you've launched the game Though it's a bit like a minigame: can I cut him off before he finishes saying "Charles"? KCD's townsfolk are a sensitive bunch. They're liable to tell you off just for bumping their shoulder on the way through town which quickly goes from a minor distraction to a real annoyance. Who are these folks to holler at me on my nice stroll through town. No longer will a passing nudge send them flying off the handle. Admit it. Henry's a bit bland, isn't he? If you've ever wanted to make him just a bit more spicy, modder Fuse00 has several great and mostly lore-friendly options for you. Henry can have a scar on his face, a few different hair cuts, or a roguish beard. There's also a Ronald McDonald version opens in new tab. I don't want to know who is using that one and why. Chris started playing PC games in the s, started writing about them in the early s, and finally started getting paid to write about them in the late s. Following a few years as a regular freelancer, PC Gamer hired him in , probably so he'd stop emailing them asking for more work. Chris has a love-hate relationship with survival games and an unhealthy fascination with the inner lives of NPCs. He's also a fan of offbeat simulation games, mods, and ignoring storylines in RPGs so he can make up his own. Christopher Livingston opens in new tab. See comments.

Batfamily & Games - Headcanon
A/N: Brace yourselves, this headcanon is HUGE (about 1.5k words). I’ve been playing a lot of games during quarantine and that’s what inspired me to write this. I mostly play on ps4, if you want to add me on psn, my ID is Vixtr0yer_  - Vix
• Ok, hear me out.
• Tim is definitely a JRPG guy.
• Used to play a lot of Final Fantasy back when he was a kid.
• And he still does.
• Tim is a completionist. He does every sidequest, maxes the skill tree and the characters' level, unlocks every weapon and collects EVERY. SINGLE. TROPHY.
• Another thing that he enjoys about JRPGs is analyzing his items, weapons and characters' abilities and stats to build the best strategy during battles, especially if the battles are turn-based.
• Although Final Fantasy holds a special place in his heart, Tim's favorite game is Persona 5.
• He went crazy over that game. After getting Persona 5, Tim locked himself in his room and would spend the entire day (and night, if he's not patrolling) playing Persona 5, only going outside to open the kitchen's fridge and bring a pack of Red Bull to his bedroom.
• After he beat Persona 5 and unlocked every ending, Tim went through an identity crisis.
• But then Persona 5 Royal was released and the cycle started all over again.
• Steph also enjoys RPGs, but she prefers action RPGs. Unlike Tim, Steph pays no mind to the numbers and statuses in items and weapons, she just equips the stuff that gives more damage and beats the crap out of the enemies until they die.
• Depending on the game, Steph can be very competitive, she lost count on the controllers she broke in a fit of rage after dying in Dark Souls and Bloodborne.
• Her favorite game is Skyrim because she loves using the funny mods.
• I have the feeling Cass is a retro-gamer. She doesn't lean to a specific game genre, she enjoys retro games in general.
• But if Cass had to pick a few favorite ones, they would be Earthbound and Kirby's Adventure.
• Cass also builds some AMAZING constructions in Minecraft.
• Barbara likes MOBA and MMO.
• She wouldn't consider herself addicted but she's been playing World of Warcraft since its release.
• If Barbara happens to be in a bad mood and sees some players being assholes, she goes there and hack their accounts.
• She also likes watching esports.
• Screw the Olympics, esports tournaments are her thing.
• Babs makes a big deal about League of Legends World Championship. LoLWC is like the event of the year for her.
• Her ritual is buying a family-size bag of nachos and soda to watch it on her TV every year.
• Barbara and Dick are the type of couple that has a 2 person gaming setup so that they can play together.
• Talking about Dick Grayson.
• He has two types of favorite videogames.
• One being story-driven games. Dick gets all invested in the plot to the point he feels catharsis.
• He cried playing Life is Strange.
• He always tries to get the happy ending and be nice to all the characters.
• If he ends up being accidentally rude or getting an ending he doesn't like, he reloads his save and picks another option or starts the game all over again.
• And don't get me started on his Stardew Valley playthrough.
• But when it comes to The Sims, Dick is a real psycho. He takes the ladder off the pool, locks the sims in a cubicle and stuff, has the extreme violence mod installed.
• After playing God of War, Dick started calling Damian by "Boy" with an extremely deep voice.
• In the beginning Damian shrugged it off but after one week he got fed up and started chasing after Dick with a sword and threatened to cut him to pieces if he called him "Boy" one more time.
• His other type of favorite games are games where he can goof around.
• He causes massive chaos in Goat Simulator and the Goose Game.
• Because of the Goose Game, Dick tried to convince Damian to convince Bruce to buy them a goose.
• It didn't work.
• Back when Jason was Robin, Bruce paid a lot of attention to the age ratings. If Jason asked Bruce to buy him a new game, Bruce would google the title of said game and based on Jason's age and the game's age rating, he would decide to buy it or not.
• "I said we're not buying Ratchet & Clank, Jason." Bruce says as he looks at the ESRB website through the batcomputer.
• "But it's rated 10!" A 13-year-old Jason protests.
• "Do you really think I'm going to allow you owning a game that has 'Quest for Booty' as its subtitle?"
• Still, that didn't stop Jason from playing the games he wanted to.
• Jason would save up money from his allowance and head to the arcade or secretly buy a new game and play it whenever Bruce wasn't at the Manor.
• Jason would mostly play FPS games. His favorite franchise ended up being Doom.
• Jason often trains while listening to the Doom soundtrack.
• Because the Doom soundtrack makes all of us Jason feel things. He also listens to the songs before patrolling because they hype him up to punch people.
• Don't lie to me, I know you feel the same way when you listen to the Doom soundtrack. Everyone does.
• There was that one time Jason ended up in a fist-fight over the last copy of Doom Eternal on the release date.
• Jason managed to get the last copy but ended up getting banned from GameStop.
• Also some guy recorded the GameStop fight and uploaded on Youtube an edit with one of those "When Doom music kicks in" memes that has "The Only Thing They Fear is You" playing in the background.
• The video got over 2 million views.
• Having kids does tire you out. By the time Bruce had Damian, he stopped caring about videogames' age rating and stuff.
• But still, Grand Theft Auto is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN in Wayne Manor.
• One person ends up getting away from this rule.
• Not because he's allowed to play it, he just doesn't care about that rule.
• And that person is… *drum roll*
• Alfred.
• Alfred had beat GTA V twice and he whoops other people's asses on GTA Online.
• Alfred is also an evil mastermind in Among Us. When he gets to be the impostor, Alfred always wins.
• Damian plays a lot of Fortnite.
• But not because he likes Fortnite, he thinks it's too ridiculous for his liking, especially the dances.
• Damian doesn't like playing Fortnite, but he likes playing Fortnite with Jon. It's Jon's favorite game and Jon gets very happy whenever he gets to play it with Damian. Damian, although not being a fan of Fortnite, ends up having fun too.
• Fun fact: When Damian found out Batman, Catwoman and even Joker and Ivy had their Fortnite skins, he got mad because they didn't make a Robin skin. He then started emailing Epic asking for one and saying that Robin deserved his own Fortnite skin.
• But Damian's favorite game turns out to be:
• Animal Crossing New Horizons.
• Because living on a paradise island full of animals is like his dream come true.
• Also Damian's favorite villager is Ozzie.
• He follows the "Can You Pet The Dog?" twitter account.
• The batkids tried to organize a family videogames night. But in literally E-V-E-R-Y family videogames night something wrong happened and at least one person ended up in the med bay.
• Dance Dance Revolution night: Duke slipped and sprained his ankle.
• Overcooked night: instead of helping to do the dishes right, Jason kept on being chaotic, he'd block the passages, put unnecessary ingredients on the countertop, slap the other cooks, anything he could do to troll them. They only got 1 star on a level and Steph threw a controller on Jason's head.
• Mario Kart night: Damian, first place. Tim, blue shell. That's all I have to say.
• Among Us: Everyone, literally EVERYONE started fighting and without any exception they all ended up in med bay. After that one, family videogames night was officially canceled. And Bruce had to organize a group therapy session for them.
• "They say I'm supposed to open up to people, but how the fuck am I supposed to open up to people when every time I trust someone they fucking STAB ME IN THE BACK?"
• "Jason, I was the impostor, I was supposed to stab people in the back."
• "I TRUSTED YOU, DICK, AND I WON'T EVER TRUST YOU AGAIN. YOU'RE NOT MY BROTHER ANYMORE, BITCH."
• Bruce strongly denies that he plays videogames. He says he's too old and he doesn't have time for that.
• Remember that aunt of yours who is already on level 900 in Candy Crush?
• Bruce is that aunt.
• He secretly has Candy Crush installed on his phone and whenever he's at Wayne Enterprises feeling bored, Bruce unlocks his phone and starts playing Candy Crush.
• There was that one time the bank called Bruce because they thought his credit card was cloned after a $200 purchase in App Store.
• But guess what?
• Yep, it was just Bruce fucking Wayne playing Candy Crush.
• He also managed to beat minesweeper more than once by the way.

As a massive Current 93 fan, I took All the Stars Are Dead Now as the leitmotif for my Malkavian playthrough in VTMB. It felt suitable, since this song’s intro plays for a few seconds on the gramophone in Grout’s mansion, in the room with his wife.
I had immediately recognized the song on my first pt, but never thought more than “cool” about it at the time, being immersed in the story. Only later I started to think back to the lyrics and how well they suit the game’s mood and even the plot! Something like that would work great for the freshly embraced, lost-in-visions and ever-dreaming Daniel, I figured.
After the embrace, Daniel was immediately assaulted by uncommonly severe onslaught of visions. He's not all there, now, and hasn't processed the events. Even when he calmly acknowledges his current situation and seemingly is dealing remarkably well with his embrace, in actuality he's present in that moment only half-way at best. On one hand this shields him from trauma a little, on the other makes him vulnerable. He’s walking like a shadow.
I got a more normal looking skin mod for him and installed a font for normal lettering instead of the wACkY rANDom one, since I see Daniel more deadpan or dreamy in his delivery, unless it gets really intense.
Regrettably, the dialogues didn’t really work well enough to support this concept, as fun as it was. I considered editing the malk dialogues a little, like I did with the ending cabbie options for my Tremere. This however feels a bit too much effort for an entire campaign. I have made it to Downtown atm, but haven’t returned to the playthrough in ages.
Anyway, for all its faults, sometimes the dialogue did almost succeed at sort of bloodstreamruns type of prose that would’ve suited a more prophetic type of malk. Of course, I don’t know whose idea it was to use the C93 sample in Grout’s mansions, so could be I’m way off the mark about Tibet’s lyrics being an inspiration. I wish I knew whether Schaffer or Mitsoda or whoever decided to have it there, though.
She points to squares of wax and writes backwards I veil my face from her and from her light The pointless games she plays out for want of power To slake her bloodlust and for sake of pain
Her ugly shapes breeding in her secret mound The Call of Aethyrs and the Dog Star Crawl There's one cracked bottle with no label on She nods and gestures limply with her broken smile
Do you fear death she says to me And shows me seven stars The seven seals of her seven years of Rose Cross madness Well christus tell us that little children suffer too
The first seven are red as blood The second seven not so red The third seven like whitish smoke And all the world seemed to be in darkness And all the world seemed to be in brightness
There are four corners to the world I lie In forms of fire have lurked across its floor And little banners displaying their little creeds Have made our season on earth as red as poppy fields
Black flowers please

To everyone: what would your Pokemon teams be and why?
Oh good god.
Tumblr media
Well… this is going to get complicated. At least from me.
Tumblr media
Let’s start with assuming no legendary Pokemon. Makes life a bit easier. Of course only a bit.
So… first off a lot of this depends on generation and limit. If you’re asking for a full team that I would have with rotations and stuff, we’re looking at… probably close to 10 full teams of 6, maybe even more.
In my defense, I’m a major Pokemon fan and I really really like a lot of them.
Of course, if we’re going to cut down the team to a more manageable six which can be from any region/gen, but only one from each region/gen to keep things interesting and varied… well, it would depend on a lot of things, including mood and such, so if one were to ask me this question again it would likely change. But, here would be, as I feel right now, the team I would use if I was limited to only six, one per region/gen.
1: Lucario. I’ve been a fan of this guy for so so long, ever since it was first introduced. I loved Lucario and the mystery of Mew as a kid (still kinda do). The whole concept behind aura is amazing. One’s spiritual energy/life force/ soul being utilized in combat? Being able to sense others and see without seeing? So awesome. Lucario is just SO. FREAKING. COOL. It’s design is wonderful as well. Jackel/Anubis? Yes please. Plus, I’ve been maining Lucario in Smash Bros. ever since Brawl. You better believe it’s making my team.
2: Tyranitar. Is it probably the weakest pseudo legendary when it comes to typing? Yes. Do I care? No. Tyranitar is BA. First, it’s one of the only two pseudo’s to not be a dragon. Yes, 8 regions, 9 pseudo’s, and only 2 are not dragons. Don’t get me wrong, I love me some dragons. But… variety would be nice, you know? But yeah, not a dragon, still awesome. It’s Godzilla for crying out loud! Plus, its design is just so good. It’s simple but perfect. It’s a giant Lizard creature that could fell mountains. It doesn’t need to be complicated, and is perfectly awe-inspiring and terrifying without being complicated. I also used a Tyranitar in my Ultra Sun playthrough, a male one named Typhon, Man was he fun to use.
3: Golisopod. Listen, if a Pokemon is good enough for YOUR BOI GUZMA to use it on his team, you know it’s a good pokemon. It’s the Alola take on Gyarados and Milotic (weak pathetic first stage with few moves  and while those two do have a slightly higher BST, that ain’t enough to keep my boy Golisopod down. Golisopod’s design is just so good. An Isopod mixed with a Samurai? Sign me right up thank you. It mixes the creepy crawly aesthetic of the bug type with the strong proud samurai perfectly and I love it. And yeah, sure Emergency Exit can be kind of annoying, but it allows you a second usage of First Impression. That is worth it. Also, it’s shiny is dope.
4: Toxtricity. Part of building a team means keeping in mind type composition. I love Grimmsnarl dearly and equally, if not more so, but I already have one Dark-type on the team, so Toxtricity manages to bag this spot. At least, for now considering my current mood. Ask me again tomorrow, or even in an hour, my answer may very well change. Anyway, Toxtricity itself. When I fist saw the design, I wasn’t entirely sure how I felt. It was… interesting to say the least, but I couldn’t figure out what I was looking at, or what it was supposed to be. But after some more time with it, learning more about it and using one I can say that Toxtricity is easily one of my new favorites. Quite possibly my absolute fave from Gen 8. A punk lizard that plays music? Rock/Metal? HECK. YES. The form change is also pretty nice. The stats don’t change between the two, but I honestly like it that way. Just the idea that more energetic natures would have an ‘Amped Up’ form based on an electric guitar while the more mellow natures would have a ‘Lowkey’ one based on a bass is ingenious. Same with the movepool changes. It makes sense that the different forms with their different music preference would have different moves. (My personal fave is the Amped Up, especially with its shiny colors.) Plus, an electric posion type? SO. COOL. Who cares about 4x weak to earthquake, this thing is boss! And Punk Rock is an amazing ability.
5: Flygon. Man oh man was Flygon treated poorly. Added in Gen 3 as a solid pokemon, but with a better attack stat than a special attack one. True, not bad in it of itself but before the Special/Physical split, ALL Dragon-type moves were special. Meaning Dragon Claw, a solid dragon type move back in Gen 3, wasn’t yet a physical move. And Outrage wasn’t even something Flygon could learn yet (it wouldn’t be until Gen 7 that it became a TM). Then came gen 4. Now, I love gen 4. I truly do. It is by far my favorite Gen. And it did do something very good for Flygon. It gave the special/physical split, allowing some Dragon type moves to now be physical as well. But you know what else came along? Garchomp. Honestly, I like Garchomp, I do. But suddenly here we are with a new Dragon/Ground type that is a pseudo-legendary? My poor poor Flygon. And it didn’t get any better. I mean seriously, give Mewtwo and Charizard two megas but none to Flygon? WHILE GIVING ONE TO GARCHOMP WHO DIDN’T NEED IT AND WAS ITS BIGGEST COMPETITION?! Why Game Freak? Why?Anyway, mini-rant aside, I love Flygon. The design is incredible. The line is based on an antlion and is so cool. That sweet green design and the little lenses over the eyes? Perfect, just perfect. Plus, it has some sweet lore. Appearing in sandstorms with haunting music coming from its wings? Yes please. Beautiful pokemon that was done such disservices. It’s a shame really. With Megas gone, Flygon will likely never get that final boost it needs. Though considering it is in Galar while Garchomp isn’t… maybe Flygon will have a chance to shine again. (A shame though that it will never get to have a type change to Bug Dragon. Would be sick.) Regardless of the future though, Flygon will always have a place in my heart, and in my team.
6: Zoroark. Yeah, I know what I said about team composition above with Toxtricity and Grimmsnarl. But  I also pointed out mood has a lot to do with it. Anyway, for Zoroark itself. Like Lucario, I’veb een a fan for so long, ever since it was first introduced. It’s kinda funny in a way. Zoroark acts as the perfect yin to Lucario’s yang. Lucario uses aura to sense things and to see, Zoroark is the maser of illusions. In it of itself, this illusion business is awesome, but add in how it counters Lucario and it works just so well. Typing as well, Lucario is a fighting steel, the type you’d think of for a chivalrous paladin of justice and truth, while Zoroark is dark (evil type in Japan), perfect for a sly illusion master. Of course, it’s not just dualism with Lucario. The line is just so amazing itself. Clearly drawing from Kitsune, Zoroark is a sly fox that is able to not just use illusions, but masters them to the point of being able to create solid constructs out of them (see the anime). It is just so cool, how can I not love it? Also, like Tyranitar before it, I used a female one named Vixen in my Ultra Sun playthrough and it was a delight.
Anyway, that would be my team. You know, assuming all the limitations I put on myself and my mood at this moment. But if you guys enjoyed this and want to know more about my favorite pokemon, please let me know. I’m always happy and excited to talk about Pokemon.
Anyway, going to hand this over to the other mods. I’ve been monopolizing this ask for too long.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ooo!! This’ll be fun to answer! Cause, well, I love Pokémon!!!
Tumblr media
But, forgive me for this; I haven’t played any of the games.
Tumblr media
So im just saying my favorite characters!!!
Tumblr media
1: Glacieon, I really, really like glacieons and have always loved ice type Pokémon. Mainly because I really like the cold. Like; really, really, like the cold. I also really like her attacks, their cool!!! (Pun intended)
2: Furret. Absolutely furret, I never knew why I liked furret, but. I’m just gonna blame it on me really liking Ferrets and cause I honestly have really liked normal types for some reason.
3: Vulpix (either one), I really like any fire type Pokémon mainly because I’ve always just had a very weird interest in fire and because vulpix can be either a fire or ice Pokémon I love that about them. And they remind me of a bunch of irl animals that I love!!
4: Smom , I LOVE THOSE LIL ICE BABEYS SO MUCH!?!? They are so cute-!? I JUST LOVE THEM SO MUCH???! They are all my children and I want to adopt them all, and I will. No one can stop me………except maybe the other mods-
5: Sylveon, absolutely. I always have such an attachment even with digital animals, so I absolutely would give my eevee enough attention and love for them to evolve into sylveon. Honestly, it’d end up be accidental, but, I still really love Sylveon, and wouldn’t care if I got more than one of them-
6: Flareon, listen- I just love eevees okay-? I love them all so so much, and would lay down my life for each and every one of them. Just 💞💞💕💖💓💖💝💞💖💕💝💓💕💞💖💞💖💝💘💖💕💕💞
——————————————————————————
Tumblr media
Ah, I bet you missed hearing from me! No worries, I’ll tell you my pokemon team, even if it’s not particularly exciting.
First off, a Pachirisu is a must for my team. I’ve always loved how hyper it can be and the mishaps it would cause. Plus, c’mon- who doesn’t like its color scheme?
I’d also incorporate Chimchar to my team. I’ve always had a soft spot for Chimchar, since it was my first ever starter and I leveled mine all the way up to 100 in my Pokemon Platinum playthrough.
Yamper definitely had my heart the moment I saw it! I have a really strong love for dogs, and its addition to the game got me so excited!! Kirigiri can vouch for me on that one.
Growlithe is also integral to me. When my dog was a puppy, I used to jokingly call her a growlithe. I don’t think I still have pictures, but I even got her a floof for halloween once so she could be in a costume with me. Also... Arcanine is seriously badass.
Wooloo is super cute too! I love that it rolls away from its problems, and I, too, wish to do that. Plus the braids immediately reminded me of Peko, so I was super soft for it the moment it was revealed.
Finally, I’ll add my favorite Eeveelution to the team: Glaceon! Something about its sleek design always made me happy, and the way its fur sharpens as defense is super interesting!
(If legendaries were allowed on the team, I would’ve added either Giratina or Shaymin. They’re my favorites.
It’s a Super Mario Odyssey masterpost!
Tumblr media
Sorry to take a break from the Halloween goodness, but it’s the one year anniversary of Super Mario Odyssey! Hard to believe it’s been a whole year, isn’t it? There’s no denying this game is absolutely, how do we put this, “perfect” for a lack of even better compliments, with some vast, detailed worlds, many small fun challenges, and of course, lots of cool new Weird Mario Enemies!
...But today, we aren’t going to talk about enemies at all, because what this game also has is some fantastic Weird Mario Friends! To put things simple, there’s a lot of kingdoms in the game, and most of them have their own NPCs that we all love as dearly as the many friends and foes and spooky tree aliens we’ve featured on this blogs in months past, so sit back, as all three WME mods talk about the wonderful new NPCs we see in this game!
Talking about Bonneters, Tostarenans, and Steam Gardeners is Mod Chikako!
Talking about Lochladies, Shiverians, and Moon Rabbits is Mod F Boy!
And talking about New Donkers, Bubblainians, and Volbonans is Mod Hooligon!
With that out of the way, let’s-a go!
Tumblr media
Name: Bonneter
Mario’s grand adventure starts off on an EXTREMELY strong foot when he regains consciousness in a land populated by... g-g-g-g-GHOSTS! The precious Bonneters live in the delightfully spooky Cap Kingdom, where there is rarely a color present besides white, gray, or black, and the whole land is enveloped in a thick fog. To top it all off, the music is simply perfect for a spooky, yet friendly town of ghosts! Also, they all have British accents.
Tumblr media
Of course, there is one Bonneter who stands out from the rest, and that is Cappy, Mario’s newest friend! He embodies the ability of the Bonneters to take the form of normal hats and Capture other beings. Yeah, it’s basically possessing people. It’s okay. It’s fun.
What do you think is under their hat? Is it part of their body, or are they stylish? They don’t LOOK very natural, but Cappy has a few tufts of hair on his hat/head, so the answer is... I don’t know!
Also, there is no spooky-themed area in this game. The only ghosts in the entire game are your friends! Score one for ghosts!
Tumblr media
Name: Tostarenan
Here they are... the first ever new characters we saw in Super Mario Odyssey! Remember that Switch trailer way back when? Where we saw like three seconds of Odyssey? Those three wonderful seconds? I do!
Tostarenans are, of course, based on calaveras, the decorative skulls used in the Mexican celebration of the Day of the Dead. They live in a cozy little town just as colorful as they are, and love nothing more than having fun and eating frozen- I mean, freezy treats!
Tumblr media
As I’ve touched upon in their own post, Tostarenans have their own undead version, the Chincho! Which means... these are living skeletons! How does this work? They’re the same shape, so do they have exoskeletons? Again! I don’t know! But wow, that’s two sorta-spooky friend species already, huh? Like we said! This game is perfect!
Tumblr media
Name: Lochlady
Lochladies are the world-famous fashion designers found in the Lake Kingdom... a Kingdom whose industry relies entirely on fashion! Peach/Mario’s very pretty wedding dress was made here. According to the brochure, they’re known for their flexibility but also their strength, and that’s kinda funny... they might look dainty, but these fish are strong!
A fish? A mermaid? They’re really a bit of both. Of course mermaids are their main inspiration, but these things very clearly have scales, right? It’s nice that even the very-human designs in Mario are still a little bit silly.
Though, I suppose the term “mermaid” wouldn’t really apply to them, since mer comes from the Latin for “sea”... instead, they’re named Lochladies... a loch, of course, being a Scottish word for a lake... Like Loch Ness! And Dorrie, the incredibly-Loch-Ness-Monster-inspired friend, even shows up here. If you ignore the fact that Lake Lamode is a French name, it all works out.
Tumblr media
Name: Steam Gardener
That’s no watering can! Just kidding, it is. But it’s also a robot! And most importantly, it’s a friend! Really just a wonderful combination of things to be.
Steam Gardeners live in the Steam Gardens! They’re steam-powered! They garden! And they are very good at it. They come in different magnitudes of rustiness, but don’t worry! It seems they can very well go on forever as long as they stay charged. Their heads can be empty, but can also contain flowers or even seeds that they can dispense!
Tumblr media
I really love the Steam Gardeners because they don’t really look like a character at all, you know? They look robotic, sure, but there’s not really much of a face or anything. And if you ask me, that makes them even more fun! The flashing lights seem to act as a face, if anything, since that’s what they point toward you while speaking. Oh yeah, they’re even asymmetrical! They’re really just a mishmosh of things that most people wouldn’t consider “cute”, but guess what! I think it’s precious! Sue me! (I would probably win because this isn’t a valid reason to sue someone!)
Tumblr media
Name: New Donker
When the first trailer for Super Mario Odyssey came out, one thing that immediately caught everyone’s attention was the New Donkers! Usually, when humans appear in the Mario series, they are very heavily stylized, like ol’ Mario Mario himself! But these humans are hardly stylized at all, looking like your average businessperson you’d pull off the streets of New York in the 1950s!
Tumblr media
Seeing Mario interacting with these much less stylized people is as jarring as it is hilarious, with lots of people questioning how this sort of image could be from a real Mario game. This is exactly the kind of off-the-wall wackiness we all appreciate over here!
...Of course, then there’s the question of if the New Donkers are technically human. We know Mario is human! We’ve gotten numerous statements from Nintendo that confirm it, aside from one old advertisement which listed him as “homo nintendonus.” What we really should be talking about is the New Donkers! We have no official source considering them humans, as they are exclusively referred to as “New Donkers” in-game. One statement from Nintendo says the reason Mario looks so different from the New Donkers is because “there’s lots of different kinds of people in the world,” but when the definition of “people” also includes dancing skeletons and garden robots, I think that it can be considered a pretty broad term.
Of course, even then, New Donkers and humans are obviously two very genetically-similar species capable of cross-breeding. How else do we explain Pauline?
Tumblr media
Name: Shiverian
I love many many things in this big blue Earth of ours, but chubby seals are definitely way up there. So, these guys? Absolutely... wonderful. I love them. I love their dopey voices, I love their cute widdle faces. I love their cosy little town, and I love that they hold competitions where they literally roll around a racetrack, because they’re just that round and fat!!
Shiverians are one of the few NPCs you can capture, too! When in Fat Seal form, you can compete in their Bound Bowl races... Humans aren’t allowed to participate, but the brochure makes it clear that only a fat seal man could survive such a race.
Tumblr media
And above all, I love their funky elder. Look at those shades. He’s a cool old man. He’s not like your grandpa- he’s hip!
Tumblr media
Name: Bubblainian
I think one thing we can all appreciate here at Weird Mario Enemies Dot Geocities Dot Io is gastropods, no matter what shape or form they take. In Super Mario Odyssey, they take the form of giant French snails with flesh-lips, but better off to be a snail with weird flesh-lips than not be a snail at all, am I right gamers?
I’m glad that they picked snails as their “easy-going beach populace,” (though snails are a good choice for anything, really) but what stands out most about Bubblainians to me isn’t the Bubblainians themselves, but rather, one very particular run-down I had with one during my playthrough of the game!
Bubblainians hide in their shells whenever an enemy gets too close, a small detail I really love. However, one time when I was playing, I was wearing the chef outfit, and was running up to talk to one of these guys when without warning, it hid in its shell! I assume a nearby Gushen might’ve just gotten a little too close, but I just thought it was silly because these French snails were afraid of a chef!
You know, because escargot is a dish in France that’s made from snails and...
Well, it was funny to me at least.
Tumblr media
Name: Volbonan
My absolute favorite world in Super Mario Odyssey has to be... New Donk City. I feel that that’s most peoples’ favorite. My immediate second choice, however, is Mount Volbono, and I just love its inhabitants to death. Before I die, you’ll see me laying down, on my deathbed saying “man, I sure love the Volbonans from Super Mario Odyssey” and then I’ll be dead.
But why do I love Volbonans so much? Well, I guess it’s just that I’ve always sort of had an affinity for inanimate object creatures (anyone who’s met me knows how much I love Vanilluxe) and Volbonans are just a perfect design for a fork character! I tried a few shots at designing fork characters in the past, but I made the dire mistake of putting the face on the part with the tines, rather than the handle, a mistake which the Volbonans so excellently fix! Really, I never considered using the tines as limbs, it’s a design that works so well that I’d be cursing myself if the Volbonans weren’t so inherently blessed in and of themselves.
Throw on the chef hats and neckerchiefs, and they go from perfect to extremely perfect, having a design befitting of their hobby of cooking! It feels weird that an entire species has a life focused on cooking, but I suppose that if you’re a giant fork in a land of giant food, there’s nothing better you can do. One of the souvenirs you can buy from Mount Volbono is a set of forks based on the Volbonans themselves! Cute! A little freaky, but still cute!
I think it goes without saying that I want the Volbonans, alongside every other Odyssey NPC, to be playable in the next Mario Kart. Let me race around the whole Mario world as a giant fork or 1950′s (ambiguously) human man!
Name: Moon Rabbit
I am summoned once again from the depths of my cave to talk about Japanese folklore, because I enjoy doing that! The Dark Side stage, unlocked after you beat the game, is also known as “Rabbit Ridge”, and features food-shaped rocks and a whole lotta bunnies... Why? You may or may not have already heard of the story of the moon rabbit (it’s pretty well-known), but in case you haven’t:
Tumblr media
According to our friends in the east, the markings of the moon kind of resemble a rabbit pounding mochi with a mortar and pestle. And yeah, I can totally see it. Of course, Mario Odyssey very prominently features hats, and it prominently features the moon in nearly every Kingdom.... and rabbits, naturally, are pulled out of hats! It works on so many levels!
Tumblr media
The regular Moon Rabbits aren’t all that talkative, but of course, there are some fairly notable rabbits, too! Yup, the Broodals are from the Dark Side of the moon... which might even be why they look like UFOs when they fly around in their hats. I won’t talk too much about them here, but you’ve gotta wonder... why are they so much more anthropomorphic than their fellow Moon Rabbits? Is this a Goofy/Pluto scenario?
DA Questions
Tagged by: @goblin-deity and @gothkimmyschmidt -- thank you :)
Tagging: @jaffa-keksi @chillyrose @dickeybbqpit @mocha-writes @the-dread-doggo @heraldofwho @keeperscompanionsdai @space-vashoth (if you guys haven’t done it already. if you have, tag me so i can see!)
–---------
01) Favorite game of the series?
Dragon Age 2. I love the bisexual disaster companions and how they have friends/relationships/lives outside of you. And I love Hawke and their tragic story. I also like having years passing with the same protagonist/companions instead of “my new companions and I had one crazy year together”. Plus fighting mechanics were my favorite in this game.
02) How did you discover Dragon Age?
I saw gifs of Morrigan on tumblr years ago (back when DA2 was still new) and thought, “holy shit, she’s pretty I should play that”, and just never got around to it till a couple years later till when I saw a lot of gifs of default Marian Hawke and thought “she’s gorgeous and funny and I would die for her” (I still can’t believe I used to think I was straight...) and then found out she’s not till the second game so I hurried up and bought Origins to play first. Then got hooked, Origins has such a great story.
03) How many times you’ve played the games?
I’m on my 4th and 5th (playing simultaneously) playthroughs of Origins, I’ve played DA2 either 6 or 7 times. Inquisition I’ve only played once and I skipped most of the side missions because that game is so long.
04) Favorite race to play as?
Elf. I love dwarves a lot though and if they could do magic they’d easily be the fave.
05) Favorite class?
Mage. I like healing and not having to get close to enemies.
06) Do you play through the games differently or do you make the same decisions each time?
I try to play differently each time and role play hard (ex: certain mage OC’s are only allowed to have skills in certain fields of magic even if it’s inconvenient for me, my traumatized-by-Carver’s-death Hawke who is triggered by seeing ogres can only “hold position” when one appears and I can only fight as the companions because she’s having a panic attack). In Origins I like to put someone different on the throne each time, side with mages once and templars the next, and have companions love/hate me according to my OC’s personality (and not cheat by using the Feast Day gifts). In DA2 I have a different personality Hawke each time and they make varying choices but in the end I have never sided with templars. I think in my 2nd Inquisition playthrough I’ll side with templars though out of curiosity.
07) Go-to adventuring group?
Always depends on who is the love interest and who are the closest friends of my protagonist. Even if the team comp is terrible.
08) Which of your characters did you put the most thought into?
Blue Surana was my first character ever so she’s had the longest time of me adding/subtracting/updating her and her story. That being said I like to think I’ve put a lot of thought into my Mahariel and Amell as well. Out of my Hawkes, Claira is the most developed.
09) Favorite romance?
Fenris.
10) Have you read any of the comics/books?
I've read all the comics and I’ve read “The Calling” and “The Last Flight” I plan to read the other books soon hopefully.
11) If you read them, which was your favorite book?
I really recommend The Last Flight if you’re a die hard Grey Wardens fan like me. The main character inspired the name for my Mahariel.
12) Favorite DLCs?
 I genuinely forgot Awakening is DLC since it came with my game but, yeah. I love all the companions in Awakening and I wish it were longer. “The Exiled Prince” is also another fave since I genuinely like Sebastian Vael and he’s a kickass squadmate.
13) Things that annoy you.
The white-washing, what happened to Orsino, the way Inquisition doesn’t take into account Hawke could have been a blood mage, no healing as an Inquisition mage, the fucking Requisition Officer, the way you can’t be nicer to Sera, no dwarf romances, and how the Inquisitor can’t call Cullen out on certain things (Cassandra too, honestly, though I love her she can be really insensitive to other cultures). That’s just in the games, don’t even get me started on some of the fandom.
14) Orlais or Ferelden?
Frozen Dog Lovers > Snooty Elf Oppressors, any day
15) Templars or mages?
Mages, no contest.
16) If you have multiple characters, are they in different/parallel universes or in the same one?
I have 3 worldstates that I have playthroughs for, and a Multi-Warden AU
Worldstate 1 - Arcane Warrior/Battlemage/Fire Mage, mutual-pining-for-Sten, grey-sexual Blue Surana + Spirit Healer/Ice Mage, Fenris Romance, gay Akono Hawke
Worldstate 2 - Ranger/Assasin Archer, Zevran Romance, straight Isseya Mahariel + Blood Mage/Earth Mage, Sebastian rivalmance, panromantic/ace Henley Hawke
Worldstate 3 - Blood Mage/Spirit Healer/Entropy Mage, Leliana Romance, bisexual Alyss Amell (dies) + Shadow/Dual-Blade Rogue, Anders Romance, bisexual Claira Hawke
Multi-Warden AU: Blue Surana is main warden and recruits the others after Ostagar forming what I call the “Warden Squad”. Most thought-out world, that I have the most writing for but will probably never get around to writing the actual fic. We will see. Also, I need to make some Inquisitors for all these worldstates....they’re planned out I just need to force myself to actually play them.
17) What did you name your pets? (mabari, summoned animals, mounts, etc)
Mabari’s: Rabbit (Blue Surana), Dog (Isseya Mahariel), Teddy (Alyss Amell), Tor (Akono Hawke),  Better Carver “BC” (Henley Hawke), Bear (Claira Hawke). Isseya Mahariel numbers her wolf and bear summons A-# for wolves and B-# for bears.
18) Have you installed any mods?
I play on xbox so nah, sadly.
19) Did your Warden want to become a Grey Warden?
Blue Surana didn’t want to leave the Circle and Isseya Mahariel didn’t want to give up searching for Tamlen so “no” for both of them, but they both were amazing at it. Alyss Amell, as much as it terrified her to leave to fight things, wanted to be free of Kinloch Hold.
20) Hawke’s personality?
Akono is almost exclusively Purple though he has rare Blue moments when speaking to Carver or sometimes Fenris.
Henley is solidly Red except maybe once or twice chose purple banter for talking to her only friend, Varric.
Claira is the most varied in that she’s split 60-40 between Blue and Red, meaning well and wanting to be all good/peaceful, but having a wild, passionate temper when defending mages and her friends/family. I also headcanon she has the foulest mouth of my Hawkes though she actively tries to stop cursing it’s an unbreakable habit. She’s also a shameless flirt and hits that heart button almost every single time it comes up (I wouldn’t consider her Purple at all though since she isn’t sarcastic and is the type to laugh at jokes rather than make her own).
21) Did you make matching armor for your companions in Inquisition?
I made Cole and I matching outfits because I love him ._.
22) If your character(s) could go back in time to change one thing, what would they change?
This could get long if I listed everyone so, Blue Surana regrets not telling Sten how she felt sooner, though she doubts it would have changed anything. Isseya Mahariel wishes Tamlen could have been found sooner so the Joining could have saved him.
23) Do you have any headcanons about your character(s) that go against canon?
My entire Multi-Warden AU is a big “fuck you” to canon because all those potential wardens deserve to live dammit.
24) Who did you leave in the Fade?
In this house we do not leave Hawkes in the Fade. So, sorry Loghain :(
25) Favorite mount?
I legit forgot I had a mount 90% of the time. At least I got to hear more dialogue I guess.
Five Straightforward Steps To A Winning Minecraft Strategy
You're competent to begin playing Minecraft. Microsoft and Mojang are releasing a Chinese Mythology Mash-Up that, as the name suggests, introduces a world and characters inspired by China's tradition. At present, however, we have some good news: after months, nay years, of waiting, the Japanese sport maker confirmed the sandbox recreation is lastly coming to the Wii U on December seventeenth. As anticipated, Minecraft will come with a multitude of add-on packs, giving budding builders the possibility to get festive ahead of Christmas or play with characters from widespread films and Tv exhibits like Star Wars, The Simpsons and Dr Who. Developed and published by Mojang, Minecraft launched on Might 17, 2009. Since then, it has grow to be the highest promoting Pc sandbox journey recreation with more than 13 million items in sales on Laptop with greater than 33 million items in sales throughout all platforms. Consider us now insanely curious about what sort of story you possibly can tell from the perfect open sandbox of Minecraft. The Windows edition of Minecraft (OS X is coming later this year) now installs a standalone model of Java that's used solely whereas you're taking part in. Subscribers at the moment are in a position to play both the original Java Edition of the sport or play with crossplay.
It is now relatively trivial. Now it's crossed a new milestone, counting greater than 1 trillion views across YouTube. As a result, MINECON 2013, Mojang's annual Minecraft convention, has sold out with more than 7,500 attendees eager to see what's next for probably the most creative games of all time and to meet the crew liable for it. Each playthrough will be unique, and there's so much to see and try this it could take a long, long time earlier than you've got explored each last nook and cranny. And the Kinect's infrared sensors make it a true three-dimensional camera, in a position to take footage of an object or individual at multiple angles. COBRAPLANET.COM managed VPS internet hosting service is usually costlier, however is finest for these with less technical backgrounds because it lets the company take care of the software and system updates you request. Whereas this announcement is for Computer and Mac users, it's essential to notice that the Xbox One might be getting its personal model of Minecraft, and Twitch is integrated into Microsoft's next-gen system. The newest replace to the Apple Tv version of this hit recreation allows "Realms," Minecraft's subscription-based multiplayer system. Minecraft first arrived in alpha form in May 2009, properly before its full model launch in November 2011. Developer Mojang just lately launched the subscription-primarily based Minecraft Realms service for hosting multiplayer worlds, which starts at $thirteen monthly.
The game's popularity has additionally soared on Twitch with an unwavering presence on the site's High 20 Video games considered each month. It plans to launch a boxed retail version of the sport on PS3 in Could, which sold one million copies digitally in its first month on PSN, as well as PS4 and Vita versions in Q2 or Q3 this year. Episode five will launch on March 29th, followed by an extra three episodes later this year. You will have to attend because the builders bring Earth to more countries in the "coming weeks." The creators clearly want to be sure the title is prepared for a large-scale launch. It has additionally been the recipient of a number of prestigious awards together with five Sport Builders Choice Awards at the 2011 Sport Builders Conference. While patent trolling tends to be commonly associated with hardware tech companies, video recreation developers have more and more discovered themselves targets of this predatory practice. Whereas the 2021 model isn't drastically different from the earlier model, its new Siri remote is an enormous promoting level. Consider it as an entry level into the world of sport mods without having to be taught programming.
Its NFTs are still listed on auction site OpenSea, but there is not any phrase on the game that was promised. You'll be able to contend with your buddy to see who's the very best digger. The concept right here is to permit educators an opportunity to provide the blocky constructing recreation a take a look at run over summer season break to allow them to see the way it'd fit into their curriculums, providing suggestions along the way in which. As you'd find a recreation for a 5 12 months previous youngster, in the identical approach, you'll discover a sport that is suitable to play for the aged persons additionally. We won't wait to seek out out. Console customers won't have to wait till the 18th to have something new, although. At present, we have now a date -- and it's not fairly what we had been anticipating. If you are updated with Minecraft: Story Mode, you may know why the workforce might be thinking about creating additional episodes -- the world undergoes a major shift at the tip of episode four, establishing a whole new batch of adventures for Jesse and the Order of the Stone. These of you with a Wii U have been missing out on Minecraft: Story Mode, created by Mojang and Telltale Games, the indie developer behind The Strolling Dead and Sport of Thrones titles.
Repost, don’t reblog! Tag 6 muns you would like to get to know better when done!
Name: Sam Nickname: K, Owl, Sabs Age: 26 Faceclaim: I am a fun sized owl. Pronouns: He/him Height: 5′2 Birthday: October 20  Aesthetics:  Punk, mohawks, leather boots, deep reds, Australian landscapes, horses, birds, knights, armour, space.
Favorite muse(s) you’ve written: Kaaras is going to have to be my favourite. He’s just... so much to me now, and we’ve grown so much together. He’s made me so happy, I’ve met so many people through him, and yeah... He’s just been a blessing. DA helped me out of a huge, crappy depression of my life, and I will never forget that. Kaaras is my knight in shining armour at times, even with his moods. XD
What inspired you to take on your current muse (that you are posting this on): Originally, Kaaras’ blog was made for me to post my playthrough with him. I have a friend who didn’t play games but was interested in him, so I made this blog as basically an archive for all of my art, writing and playthrough vids of him. Someone asked if they could write with me, and I said yes. I was hesitant to, since my last RP experience was pretty dull and boring on here from my last fandom, but people really took to Kaaras. And he’s just grown more and more, each day, thanks to everyone <3 God, he’ll be 3 next Feb! XD
What are your favorite aspects of your current muse: That he LOVES his job as Inquisitor. Honestly, I don’t see many people writing Inquisitor’s that take their role as purpose and duty like Kaaras does, and I think that makes him unique. He’s also faithful and Andrastian, so he takes his role a bit more seriously, even if he doesn’t think he’s been chosen by the Maker, but also doesn’t KNOW. So, I believe that Kaaras FITS the role of Inquisitor really well, and that’s something that I love about him, but I’m also so damn PROUD of him because of it as well.
I also love that he comes off as this really kind and loving person, but he takes FOREVER to get to know. It means its hard and relationships with him take a really long time to grow, but I like that. I’m in this for the long term stuff, not the surface shit. I love getting to still learn new things about him, even though I’ve been writing him for over two years now. I love seeing how BLUNT he is at times, and how he EMBARRASSES me with his TERRIBLE jokes and when he’s overly romantic that it makes my heart sick and I feel like I’m going to die from sugar overload. I love that he’s moody, even though it sends me insane at times because I never know what the problem is. I love that Kaaras is KAARAS. He’s himself, and I have no control over anything he does. I love that he is himself, and that makes him so much realer for me.
What’s your biggest inspiration when it comes to writing: For one, my passion for my muses, and the world around me--I get inspiration from any source I can get. Most of all, though, it’s all of you guys and your amazing muses. You’ve made Kaaras grow, you’ve inspired me to toss him into so many situations and force him to deal with things so he CAN grow. And sometimes that makes him take a step back, but that’s still character growth, even if it’s turned into shit for us mods. XD
So, yeah... all of you amazing people. <3 Thank you so much!
Favorite types of threads: Anything that makes our characters grow. I LOVE slow burning romances, when Kaaras starts freaking out about feelings. But I also love fluff and angst, and horror and just DOMESTIC shit. I love all threads. <3 I love seeing him laugh, cry, break, angry, everything. I also love embarrassing the shit out of him, so there’s that, too P:
Biggest struggle in regards to your current muse: His moods. It will ALWAYS be his moods. His mood swings are so intense sometimes that I can’t write because he doesn’t know how to deal with things and locks himself away. What you guys see on here is NOT the impact he has on me. His mood swings can make me grumpy and irritated, and I have to give up and give him his time out, because he literally doesn’t let me know what is wrong and I have to let him just work it out by himself for a while before we can start writing again. And sometimes that takes a DAY for him to start being normal again. XD So... yeah. His moods. Bless, I love him, but his moods can kill me at times -_-
Tagged by: N/A took it off a few people on my dash XD  Tagging: Consider yourself tagged if we have a thread <3
The Salvatore House - Creator’s Notes
Tumblr media
Hello to everyone! This is an extended followup to my description, which is more of my thought process (YES BORING).
So this lot is my first, full-fledged build and it's actually thanks to Littlemssam's More Buyable Venues and new Venue Types for the inspiration of making a BnB place that is actually for vampires to get free food! XD I had never created a lot in the Sims with so much thought into it, even the history behind it. There’s also a room where most of the photos you see in the prologue parts are placed up in (as shown in the last photo of Prologue Part 2). And a lot, A LOT of work went into this, even right down to so many saves just to get the right photos to build the story. It took me weeks to finish this along with adding additional stuff in the Sims world that will make it interesting for a start into a sims playthrough.
And I am gonna play this build and my Sims to see how the son's story, dealing with a glamourous, overexaggerated, overprotective aunt, his half life on the border between human and vampire, and the neighborhood. HOWEVER, I will not include the Salvatore Sisters’ generation as the first gen. A lot of work did go into them and with cheats here and there so it didn’t feel like a pure gen run to me. Also, it sounded cooler to me having sims that were from the history of Forgotten Hollow. It might be considered a cheat to have a “prologue” generation, which is why I’m having the son be a fresh one (although I need to reset his skills cuz I made a mistake while editing their story, cough). I also dunno how many gens I will go because I dun have any new ideas for each gens to make it more interesting than the first (and without having to kill of sims...it’d be sad if I go down that route throughout every gen).
Additionally, I created a second challenge that I’ll be doing in the same world alongside this one. it was one I had wanted to try with a sim I made but every time I tried, I had to stop halfway because of work, life and mod conflicts. You’ll be seeing the prologue of that too sometime soon, and it’ll be a lot shorter than this one.
I also need to make this motel work because I didn’t realize you had to make the lot NOT residential and thought I could have the lot trait and the owner stay at the motel like its a residence (not that case, WHOOPS!). Still, I really wanna thank littlemssam for creating this mod and if you guys are interested, please check out her tumblr and see all the awesome mods. You can find my house lot in the gallery and if you want some extra batty fun by having tourists stay at the motel while your vampire sims feed on them during their stay, be sure to use the mod. You’re also welcome to do changes to the house however you like if there are some parts not to your taste but please credit the creator! And if you'd like the sims I created, I can upload them to my gallery too.
Peace!
