The ultimate guide to being coquette as a hijabi girlie
Tumblr media
Being a coquette hijabi is so hard because so many of the key motifs (mini skirts/more revealing clothing, the literal meaning of the word, for example) go against what we believe in. But it's not impossible. So here are my personal favorite ways to be a coquette girlie without compromising my faith! (p.s thank you to @augusttheicedcoffeeaddict for reminding me to post this hehe ily)
Also!!! No hate to the coquette girlies who do wear mini skirts etc.
The white maxi skirt  🦢˚✧𓂃🩰 ໒꒱ ⋆ ˚ ⊹
Mini skirts are a staple in so many coquette outfits and so many people will try to make you think maxi skirts aren't cute but they're just haters. A cute sweater + a pleated or tiered white maxi skirt + some crafty layering has been such a lifesaving formula for me. Blouses work great for this too. And the things you can put on top of a white maxi skirt are endless. Pretty blouses, mini dresses, sweaters, sweatshirts, even cute tshirts with long sleeved shirts underneath. Same goes for denim skirts. I'm looking for one right now and I can't find any I like, but once I do I'll be unstoppable.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bowssss 🦢˚✧𓂃🩰 ໒꒱ ⋆ ˚ ⊹
Bows. Bows are THE coquette accessory. And, thank god, you don't have to wear a mini skirt to wear bows!
Put them on literally everything. If you want to put them on your hijab, you can use a safety pin to put it on the back of your head, or you could do what I usually do, which is put them in my hijab pins. Depending on the size you can make it as subtle as you want. I have a pinterest tutorial here. (The pic on the left is me!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Heart shaped sunglasses 🦢˚✧𓂃🩰 ໒꒱ ⋆ ˚ ⊹
Another coquette/vintage americana staple you can wear!
Berets 🦢˚✧𓂃🩰 ໒꒱ ⋆ ˚ ⊹
Same thing!
Fuzzy white earmuffs 🦢˚✧𓂃🩰 ໒꒱ ⋆ ˚ ⊹
These are SOSOSO perfect for winter. (pic on the left is me again heh)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
At home 🦢˚✧𓂃🩰 ໒꒱ ⋆ ˚ ⊹
So far, this has all been stuff just in the context of going out in public. At home, I highly recommend doing you hair in a coquette way and wearing things you can only have on in front of family. It's such a confidence booster. It's a bit of effort but it's so so worth it!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her bedroom is the window into the girl's soul 🦢˚✧𓂃🩰 ໒꒱ ⋆ ˚ ⊹
The coquette aesthetic is way more than just the clothes and hair. So if you really want to feel coquette, try and make your room as coquette as possible. Put up some coquette posters on your wall. A lot of coquette posters are haramcore and some people don't like putting up faces on their wall, so here are some really cute pics for inspo :3
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
What's in your bag? 🦢˚✧𓂃🩰 ໒꒱ ⋆ ˚ ⊹
Purses can make or break a good outfit. My biggest tip is to match them to your hijab. It pulls it all together. The last thing you want is for your hijab to feel like it's clashing with the rest of the outfit.
What's inside is important too! Inner beauty isn't just for living things. Keep whatever essentials you already have, plus lipgloss, a compact mirror bc no one's out here trying to have a bad hijab day, and a little bit of ribbon. Trust me about the ribbon.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shoes!!! 🦢˚✧𓂃🩰 ໒꒱ ⋆ ˚ ⊹
Please don't wear a super cute coquette outfit and then wear tennis shoes. Just don't. Mary janes, Doc M's, and ballet flats are all really good choices.
Ik I probably sound like I'm obsessing over tiny things, but you kinda have to bc when you're breaking the mold every little thing matters.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lastly <3 🦢˚✧𓂃🩰 ໒꒱ ⋆ ˚ ⊹
Last but not least, do not ever ever let people make fun of you. If you're a hijabi coquette girlie, you probably have some form of a muslim community, and they probably won't dress in your style. That was my case, and when I first started wearing mary janes and lace gloves I got SO made fun of. Not from the adults, but from my friends. One girl called my mary janes dorky and said they annoyed her every time she saw them. I think she expected me to laugh, but you just have to keep a straight face and say to their face that you thought that was rude. She never called me dorky again 🤷‍♀️
Take this post as a reminder that you can stay true to your faith while looking fabulous. If you have any questions pls pls feel free to ask anything. Ily all honeys, bye ♡

Embracing the Beauty of Islam: It’s Profound Effects
Tumblr media
Islam, with its plethora of teachings, is a source of profound beauty that enriches the lives of its followers and extends a universal invitation to all. This article explores some of the positive effects of Islam, shedding light on how these principles enhance our lives and contribute to the well-being of society.
Compassion and Charity: A Heartfelt Connection
Islam places a significant emphasis on compassion and charity, encouraging believers to extend a helping hand to those in need. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “The believer’s shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity” (Sahih Al-Bukhari). Acts of kindness and charity not only alleviate the suffering of others but also purify the soul of the giver.
Social Justice: Upholding Justice and Fairness
In the Quran, Allah emphasises justice, declaring, “O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm for Allah, witnesses in justice, and do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just” (Quran 5:8). Islam advocates for fairness and equality, rejecting discrimination based on race, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status. This commitment to social justice fosters harmony and unity in diverse communities.
O believers! Stand firm for Allah and bear true testimony. Do not let the hatred of a people lead you to injustice. Be just! That is closer to righteousness. And be mindful of Allah. Surely Allah is All-Aware of what you do. [Quran 5:8]
Family Values: The Foundation of a Strong Society
Islam places great importance on family values, considering the family unit as the cornerstone of a healthy society. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “The best of you is the one who is best to his family” (Sunan Ibn Majah). Islam encourages love, respect, and support within the family, fostering an environment where individuals can thrive and contribute positively to society.
Personal Development: Nurturing Mind, Body, and Soul
Islam offers a holistic approach to personal development, emphasising the well-being of the mind, body, and soul. The Quran instructs believers to seek knowledge continuously, and the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) highlighted the importance of physical health. This holistic approach promotes balance and harmony in individual lives, creating a foundation for a prosperous society.
Environmental Stewardship: Guardians of the Earth
Islam teaches believers to be stewards of the Earth, reminding them of their responsibility to protect and preserve the environment. This environmental consciousness encourages sustainable practices and a sense of responsibility towards the planet.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “The world is sweet and verdant, and verily Allah is going to install you as vicegerent in it to see how you act” (Sahih Muslim)
As Muslims, embracing these teachings enhances our lives, and as a universal message, it invites people of all backgrounds to appreciate the beauty inherent in Islam. By embodying these principles, we contribute to a world where family, justice, and community prevail.

Tears that release the soul.
My first time staying during the night for prayer (قيام الليل) . I chose to pray with Surat Al- muzammil (سورة المزمل).
To my surprise the versus spoke about staying up at night to pray.
My tears were warm on my cheeks while between the hands of Allah.
When I prayed before -in my teen years- I wasn't aware of how sacred prayer is. Allah was a given thought. Something that I believed in, respected and feared. But I wasn't aware of the spiritual heaviness that comes with it.
I prayed for comfort and I prayed out of duty. With little awareness of my humanity and far more less awareness of the universe and its creator.
The years of atheism and despair created a painful void. A void that makes the chest tender, receptive to love.
I prayed today as a revert to Islam.
I prayed through the night in the hands of my creator.
I prayed and I surrendered each time my head touched the earth.
I prayed to Allah with awareness of my humanity, with awareness of his greatness.
I prayed to Allah with love, fear, guilt and regret.
I prayed for the first time with spiritual understanding of every word I uttered.

Can I be a Muslim witch?
This is my first post, and I saw someone post here earlier asking about being a Christian witch, so I thought I might ask for help too.
I don't know how to start or where to start, but I was never a really religious person. Growing up with autism, I was questioning everything, it wasn't until my teen years that I discovered witchcraft and thought "wow, this makes sense". Maybe it was how I was raised (Roman Catholic, but we didn't pray or go to church etc.) But I was frustrated at the lack of answers I got from god. While being a child all I did was ask and ask things of God, but never got anything, but when I found witchcraft and paganism, it made sense to offer things to the gods, pray to them, and do things in their honor, then they'll feel.. appreciated(?) I guess that's a good word. A thing that I thought often was putting it in human terms, I'd get annoyed only being asked things but never being appreciated, or given anything in return.
About a year after that is when my friends friend from Greece had asked if we wanted to know what Greek god would be best for us to worship. So we gave our details to her aunt who does witchcraft, in the end I found out Aphrodite would be the best for me, so I've been worshiping her for 2 years.
Now around that time a couple years ago I started to see more Islamic videos popping up on my TikTok and I kind of liked them periodically but never payed too much attention to them. Finally, last year I got curious, so I started to watch and read more about Islam. It was beautiful, it felt so inclusive, I was speechless.
By now I know a bit more than I did then, and two things replay in my head daily, 1) witchcraft/magic is forbidden [as stated in the Quran many times] and 2) worshipping another deity other than God (Allah) is also forbidden [also stated in the Quran]
So far I've only seen the Quran talk about, what some would call, baneful magic and as for the second one, it even states in the Shahada (Islamic declaration of faith) that there is no god but God (Allah), it's direct translation is "I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah; and I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah"
These two things have been the only reason stopping me from converting/reverting to Islam, one more than the other obviously.
I guess my two questions are: what do I do about wanting to be Muslim but worshipping Aphrodite?
It states clearly there should only be Allah and I don't want to take my Shahada when it would be based on a lie.
And my next question being: Once I figure out the first, can I practice witchcraft and be Muslim?
I've seen another Muslim witch, but again, she didn't have the first issue as me.
Anyone and everyone's advice/thoughts would be appreciated, thank you :)

The issue with some Muslims in our community is that they may feel envious of other Muslims' accomplishments. Totally NO OFFENCE.
From my own life experiences, it has become clear that there are people who are unable to accept the fact that we are achieving success in various aspects of our lives. It is imperative that we do not let their egoistic behavior hinder our progress and instead, continue to strive for excellence.
I mean, why can't we lift each other as brothers and sisters? Why can't we encourage and inspire each other with our Muslim role models?
I know we're not perfect, but we can strive to be better. Let's work towards building a better world and pleasing Allah SWT.
It will take time but better late than never, InSha Allah.

Okay so I'm reading the Quran
In the Quran Adam and Eve exist
Allah gave Adam knowledge
Satan exists
Satan still tempts them to eat from a tree that's forbidden
But Allah doesn't damn them to hell for eating from the tree
I find this fascinating when my background for Adam and Eve is Christian.

hazbin hotel feels like whenever the most annoying athiest you know tries to #epicallypwn a Christian by making the most base level critique that rests on a fundamental misunderstanding of what Christians ideology actually entails. and then if they made a really mediocre adult cartoon about what an epic pwn it was.

Dreams of Allah (revert Muslim)
A few months ago I had a dream, I was in a giant blue sphere in the emptiness of space. There was not even a single star, only a vast landscape of darkness surrounded the giant sphere. I already remember thinking "this is not of the Universe I know."
In the centre of the sphere, a narrow room was cut out like a wedge of cake. Almost as if a closet was built into the middle, a closet with no door. Within the slice stood a man. The man stood tall, it felt like 7 or 8 feet high, with a dominating presence. His face was stern, not one of anger or love, almost a look of confusion "who are you and why are you here to disturb me?" His hair not messy or neat, but slightly hidden under a type of crown, maybe a Taqiyah. All features were visible yet remained hazy. Almost like looking through frosted glass.
I remember feeling uneasy, not scared, nor happy, but uncertain if I could trust the man who presented himself to me. I did not know their intention nor why or where I was.
I asked of the man "why are you doing this? For I do not understand"
He replied that "this is the way things are."
I seemed to be engaged in conversation, bringing forth knowledge to the man. He wanted all the knowledge I had obtained. I could not make sense of why they were asking me for this knowledge nor what it was for.
After I handed over all of my knowledge with my tongue, I stood in front of the man with closed eyes and open hands, reciting in Arabic, (what I now understand to be the Shahada).
I truly believe that the Prophet (swt) came to me for me to see what has always been clear.
I have read the Qur'an every day since the dream, trying to understand my path now. I do not fully understand my path, but my heart is open.
For the first time in my life I feel faith, I feel God. I do not expect reverting to be easy or painless, I only wish to understand.
I am in a society (and surrounded by people) where to be Muslim is almost like being a criminal. I have seen, heard and felt the hatred my country holds for Islam. It hurts my heart so much to know that their ignorance has truly blinded them to the beauty, the truth, the faith.
I am yet to grasp whether I am to recite the Shahada, if this is my path, if this is what I am to do, I do not know. I do not have a Mosque close to me despite wanting to seek out the knowledge.
I cannot "shake" Allah🤲🏽 from my mind so I will continue to read the Qur'an until more becomes clear to me.
I am thankful for any advice that may find its way to me, I know that He has directed it (insha'Allah)❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏽
