PODEVENT: SUPPLICATION OF THE HOLY PROPHET MOSA, PEACE BE UPON HIM
Tumblr media
The next great event which will be discussed in this blog series is mentioned in chapter 28 Al Qasas, verse 24:
“So he watered [their flocks] for them; then he went back to the shade and said, "My Lord, indeed I am, for whatever good You would send down to me, in need."
This supplication of the Holy Prophet Mosa, peace be upon him, teaches muslims the importance of humility. This pious characteristic allows a muslim to acknowledge with their heart and through their actions that every blessing they possess has been granted to them by none other than Allah, the Exalted. The Holy Prophet Mosa, peace be upon him, confirmed in this supplication that all good in this world and the next is granted by Allah, the Exalted. But more importantly even though it is fact that nothing in creation occurs without the will and choice of Allah, the Exalted, which includes difficulties and hardships, it is a sign of true servanthood not to attribute these things to Allah, the Exalted. Meaning, the Holy Prophet Mosa, peace be upon him, mentioned the good things Allah, the Exalted, chose for him but did not mention the great difficulty he was in which occurred through the will and choice of Allah, the Exalted, as this can be seen as a type of complaint. The Holy Prophet Ibrahim, peace be upon him, did the same thing when he attributed good things to Allah, the Exalted, yet attributed illness to himself even though illnesses only occur through the choice and will of Allah, the Exalted. Chapter 26 Ash Shu’ara, verse 80:
“And when I am ill, it is He who cures me.”
This attitude is important to adopt as it makes one’s mentality positive rather than negative. The one who adopts a negative mentality will only ever observe and mention their problems instead of observing the countless blessings they still possess which leads to impatience and further difficulties. Whereas, the one who possesses a positive mind-set will only ever observe and mention the countless blessings they possess in all situations which leads to patience and true gratitude which is shown by the Holy Prophet Mosa, peace be upon him, in this great event. It is important to firmly believe that the glass is half full not half empty.

Allah calls Himself Al-Muqtadir— The Omnipotent, The Powerful Determiner— on two occasions in the Quran. Al-Muqtadir is the One who has the power and he ability to do whatever He decides. His Power enforces all decrees and His decree prevails in every situation!
 The Omnipotent, The All-Determining
Both muqtadir and qadeer come from the  root qaaf-daal-raa, which points to four main meanings. The first meaning is to have the power to accomplish, to be capable. The second is to measure, to distribute something, or to make manifest. The third is to decree or to ordain and the fourth is to prevail.
This root appears 132 times in the Quran in 11 derived forms. Examples of these forms are taqdiru (“is decreed”), qadran (“a measure”), and maqdooran (“destined”).
Allah ‘azza wajal refers to Himself with the active participle muqtadir four times in the Quran, of which two mentions of Muqtadirin, (The) Powerful One, Most Powerful, or the Omnipotent.
Linguistically qadeer, qaadir, and muqtadir are all derived from the root qaaf-daal-raa, all pointing to the all-prevailing and perfect Power of Allah ‘azza wajal. Muqtadir is the intensive form of the root which refers to the use of supreme power to actively enforce whatever His wisdom decides. The ‘mu’ at the beginning of the word in Arabic refers to a means, or theembodiment of an action, which results in translations as the do-er or the one who is, eg Muslim, one who submits.
Al-Muqtadir Himself says: . . . They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability [Quran, 54:42) . . . In a seat of honor near a Sovereign, Perfect in Ability. [Quran, 54:55]
How Can You Live By This Name?
1. Never think you can depend on your own powers.
Your tawfeeq (ability) is from Al-Muqtadir only, your success is not because of yourself but because He enabled you to accomplish matters.  When you show your need for Him, Al-Muqtadir will support you but when you think you can depend on your own power for even the blink of an eye, He will abandon you. And let not those who disbelieve think that they can outstrip (escape from the punishment). Verily, they will never be able to save themselves[Quran, 8:59] We often take this ayah as not for us as we are no disbelievers, but how often do we fall into the trap of thinking that ‘our children are good, because we raised them well’ or ‘I have this job, because I am clever.’ Always humble yourself by thinking: all I have is from Allah Al-Muqtadir!
2. Practise your belief.
When someone is diagnosed with a fatal disease, they should still think, Allah ‘azza wajal is able to do all things! It is easy to say, Allah is capable to do all things, but do you really live by this? The companions of Musa said: ” We are sure to be overtaken. Musa said: “Nay, verily with me is my Lord. He will guide me. [ Quran, 26:61-62] He was alone facing many enemies, but his belief in the determining power of Al-Muqtadir was unshakable, let this be your example when you feel overpowered or hopeless and tell yourself: Allah is really able to do all things and He will guide me through this!
3. Be grateful for the hidden blessings.
Al-Muqtadir forces each and everything in this world to happen according to His infinite wisdom. There is a reason behind everything and only as a believer can you benefit from each situation in your life, good or bad.  Allah had completed and perfected His Grace upon you, (both) apparent and hidden [Quran, 31:20] Thank Al-Muqtadir each day for His hidden blessings!
4. Remember the dua of the Prophet Yunus.
But he cried through the darkness: Laa ilaaha illaa anta [ none has the right to be worshipped but You, subhanaka [Glorified and Exalted are you], innee kuntu min adh-Dhaalimeen [truly, I have been of the wrong doers]. So We answered his call, and delivered him from the distress. And thus We do deliver the believers [ Quran, 21: 87-88] By narrating this story in the Quran Al-Muqtadir made this event into a daily life lesson for every believer: no matter how dark your situation is, turn to Al-Muqtadir, recognize His position, realize your position and He will give you a way out.
5. Value the importance of peace of mind.
The decree of Al-Muqtadir comes from perfect knowledge and power and it controls our daily life. You are making hundreds of choices each day responding to many different situations, and each time you have the choice: do I turn to Allah or do I turn away from Him? You can get angry, or try to have patience. You can swear or remain quieit, you can backbite or you can talk good about others. Al-Muqtadir says: Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest [Quran, 13:28]
Al-Muqtadir gives money, power, intelligence and beauty to people, but He decrees true peace of mind to His believers only! So with every choice you make throughout your day, remember Allah.
Wallahu ta’alaa ‘alem.
O Allah, Al-Muqtadir we know that Your power enforces all decrees.  Guide us to practise our belief in your All-ability and capability, make us grateful for all aspects of your decree for us,  save us from arrogance and adorn us with tranquil hearts who remember you abundantly, ameen!

2 April 2024, Tuesday
There’s exactly only a week left of this blessed month. Let’s make the most of it 🥹
Day 23: Are you making dua for anything specific? (Any dua you want us to make for you?)
I love this question because I have been trying to make more sincere dua ever since this year began and specially this Ramadan. This Ramadan I’m keeping the following in my duas ;
- good health for me and my loved ones
- for our good deeds to be accepted
- for our sins to be forgiven (allahumma innaka afuwwun tuhibbul afwa fa’fu anni)
- rabbi inni lima anzalta illayya min khairin faqeer (this is the dua of prophet musa AS and means My Lord, I am truly in desperate need of whatever good You may have in store for me.)
- freedom and justice for the people of palestine
- to be a better leader and communicator (since I recently got promoted, I wish to improve these skills of mine)
- to be saved from the trials and tribulations of the grave, for a favorable outcome on the day of judgment and to be reunited with all our loved ones in jannah.
Fellow challenge buddies, just include me in your duas that we may be together in jannah in sha Allah :)

Why should we make dua?
Do you not think, that Yaqoob, the father of twelve sons, prayed for all his sons? Especially when his son Yusuf went missing. Do you think he did not pray for Yusuf’s protection, his return home, to see his son again? He did. We know he cried so much that he lost his eyesight.
In all those years, not all the prayers he made were accepted immediately; some were eventually accepted, but there was a waiting period.
Do you not think Prophet Musa’s mother prayed when she was placing her child in the river? The basket was going along with the river, and it could have overturned anytime. How can you know if the basket is waterproof or not, if it's not leaking, or if it won't crash against a rock? You are throwing something into the river; you don't think she was praying to Allah?
Here, feel the difference between her case and Prophet Musa's case. Musa’s mother prayed, and after a few hours, she was reunited with her son. After a few hours, she meets her son again. In the case of Prophet Yusuf, he was separated from his father for many years.
We will face difficulties in life, and not all our problems will be solved immediately just because we made dua to Allah. Understand the reality of dua. What is the purpose of dua? We often confuse dua with demands. In Arabic, "talab" means asking for something, seeking something. The literal meaning of dua is calling.
When we pray to Allah, many times we are making demands in our prayers, and it's okay. We are asking. The important thing than Allah solving your problem is communicating with Allah. Being engaged with Allah is crucial. The main purpose of dua is this. Whether Allah immediately solves your problem or not is a separate matter. What’s important is that you communicate with Him. Allah sends difficulties our way so we return back to Him, talk to Him, and that’s what matters most.

A beautiful read, that will boost your Iman.
The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) told us to read Surah Kahf on Fridays, and on some Fridays, you breeze through it. It doesn't seem to relate. You read it and vaguely remember the stories. You get the big picture, and just like that, you move on. It's Friday after all. You have plans after work, or are excited for the weekend.
But there will be Fridays where you need Kahf. Because it will hit you.
There is a part in Surah Kahf where Khidr is destroying a boat. Utterly destroying it. Breaking it apart. And this boat belongs to a group of poor individuals. People who are just getting by and need this boat for their livelihood, to fish and to travel, perhaps even to live in it.
Musa AS asks Khidr - why? How on earth does that make sense?
Imagine that you are that poor person, with a boat. And it is destroyed. And you wonder to Allah why? I am in need of this promotion, this grade, this job, this home, this spouse. I am in need of this dua being answered and I do not have a silver spoon. How can you destroy my boat Allah? MY BOAT.
Why not destroy the boats of the ungrateful, the boats of those out drinking and partying and not once caring about your existence ya Allah. Why did you destroy my boat, my weak little boat, that carried my dreams. Why is it shattered? Did I not take care of it enough? Did I not worship you enough? Did I not wake up for fajr? Did I not do my fasts?
Tumblr media
But the story is that there was an evil King coming and if the boat was intact, the King would take the boat from these poor people and the people will not have a means of sustenance anymore. But a broken boat Allah knows that the poor people can fix and once again be okay, and the King would not be interested.
So your boat broke, but Allah knows He will help you fix it. He will help you find a way. But He knows a bigger picture, and something bigger He is protecting you from.
It doesn't make sense to you right now. You cannot see the evil King, you cannot see what Allah protected you from. All you can see is your hard work in front of you broken. All you can see is the effort it will take to move forward, to move on from this calamity.
So, if the one you wanted to marry was taken away from you know that it's because Allah knows what would have happened years down the line, and it maybe wasn't the right person or the right time.
If the grades didn't happen the way you wished - know that it may be Allah protecting your imaan. That the grade would've lead you to a place, a program or a graduate school where your imaan would fall and you wouldn't have enough support to get back up.
If the job didn't happen then maybe that job would've lead you into a person you weren't meant to become. Maybe it would've deterred you from your family needs and maybe in a month or two, there's a job literally designed for you that will enable you to pray your sunnahs with ease and give you more barakat. And after that, another job, with more benefits.
Look beyond the destroyed boat.
Remember that you did make dua, that you did put in effort, and that you are loved by Allah and just as a child does not understand why his mother won't let him have the sugary drink at 6AM - Allah loves you more than that mother. Allah loves, and Allah knows.
Try fixing the boat, or look another way - for another door.
You are capable of passing the broken boat test.
You have the sabr: the patience is within you. Allah wouldn't put you through it if you weren't capable.

I ask Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala to grant you a righteous spouse that is righteous, that’ll be the coolness to your eyes and have a soft heart for you, love you purely for the sake of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala, be your companion not only in this life but in Jannah as well, be one to make you forget about your struggles and problems of this dunya, seek and strive for Jannah with you, bring you closer to Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala and His pleasure, remind you constantly of Allah and help push you to be the best version of yourself.
I would say to just constantly make du’a to Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala to grant you all these things and whatever else it is that you seek, and pray tahajjud as often as you can in sha Allah. Always make the du’a of Prophet Musa alayhi salam, ‘My Lord! I am indeed in need of any good You may send down to me’ 28:24, and just be patient as well as going out yourself and trying to find somebody, and bi ithnillah you’ll attain in what you are looking for.
I appreciate your dua, jazakallah khair and likewise inshallah.

I’m 28 yo woman still single, I’m starting to have anxiety attacks from thinking about the possibility of not getting married and ending up alone !
Help 😞
You're not a food item that gets expired after a certain date. You don't lose your value as a person as you get older. You have your whole life ahead of you and you can get find your special person at anytime - anyone who thinks otherwise is ridiculous. Don't let the beliefs that society holds make you question your worth.
If it's something you really want though, constantly make this dua that Prophet Musa (AS) made (it's found in the Quran in surah Qasas) - it granted him a partner and a job at the same time:
رَبِّ إِنِّى لِمَآ أَنزَلْتَ إِلَىَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍۢ فَقِيرٌۭ
Rabbi inni lima anzalta ilayya min khairin faqir
My Lord indeed I am for whatever good You would send down to me in need.

The recitation of this du’a was after Musa (as) was forced to escape from the city, into the desert, and headed towards Madyan.
After a long journey, Prophet Musa (as) came across a group of male shepherds who were watering their flock at a well. Keeping their distance, he noticed two women waiting in the back with their sheep. Why? For whatever reason, they felt it was safer to wait than to mix with the men who were gathered at the well.
They explained to Musa (as) that their father was an old man and unable to feed their flock, so they had to take on this duty. Now keep in mind that Musa (as) himself was disheveled and exhausted from his travels, he likely did not have much to eat or to drink. Still, he empathized with their situation, “So he watered (their flocks) for them; then he turned back to the shade…”(28:24) as he turned back to the shade he recited this du’a, Rabbi innee limaaa anzalta ilaiya min khairin faqeer meaning, “My Lord, indeed I am, for whatever good You would send down to me, in need.”
Musa (as) acted in an honorable manner to help these women in a foreign town amongst strangers. He prayed to Allah, asking him to provide more opportunities to do good acts like the one he just did. Also note, after having helped the women he did not stay and mingle, it says “watered (their flocks) for them; then he turned back to the shade”. Musa (as) in this du’a also uses his state by saying that he is faqeer meaning in dire need, or in poverty.
LESSON FROM THIS DU’A
What we can learn from this du’a is if you have any skeletons in your closest you need to pray to Allah and ask yourself what good can I create in the world today?
For Musa (as) the death of the man weighed heavily on his consciousness and he took on the responsibility for self-redemption. Whatever opportunities presented itself to do good was viewed by him as blessing from Allah to right his wrongs.
Ask yourself, how can I make it so that my being here has made the world a better place and not worse?
This does not mean we need to build a foundation helping millions of people, what’s important is that we just start somewhere. What you can do today with what you have is enough, don’t put starting off to some arbitrarily defined point in the future. Avoid the chatter in your mind that wants to procrastinate, “oh, once my kid graduates from high school” or “oh, once I have this, that and the other thing, then I can…”. This is a very dangerous way to rationalize not doing anything because you it’s very easy to begin to believe it.
WE ONLY HAVE A LIMITED TIME ON THIS PLANET
The average person will have 900 months on this planet (that’s 75 years if you do the math) and our childhood occupies 216 months of that (684 months left), this does not include all the months that are lost to sleeping, watching TV, commuting, and working which probably takes up another 70%.
This leaves us with 205 months.
That number scares me.
I tell you this because we should feel a sense of urgency to act now. As the proverb goes, “the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second-best time is now”.
The sooner you plant the more of a chance you give yourself that the seed can grow and flourish into something much bigger than you ever could have imagined. But even if reality did not match your ambition how could you be saddened by the fact that, (1) you put yourself out there and tried and (2) that you still touched the life of one individual for the better?
And so, we learn through Musa (as), the best way to act and bury your bad deeds is to pile on a much greater ratio of good deeds. Every chance to do good is an opportunity that Allah has bestowed upon you, so you should take it and run. Wake up every day and try to see all the opportunities around you, be grateful to Allah you get the privilege to be of service today.

A beautiful dua of Prophet Musa (alayhi salam):
(Rabbish rahli sadri wa yassirli amri wah lul uqdatan min lisaani, yaf qahu qauli)
“My Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance] and ease for me my task and untie the knot from my tongue that they may understand my speech.”

AssalamoAlaikum sister, how can one prepare for marriage before getting into marriage? And what would be the best dua for Allah blessing us with the perfect husband?
I think it is very important that people, especially Muslims, work on themselves, take a look inside and dig deeper a little bit whenever they can to identify their toxic traits (we all have them, we are no angels) and unhealthy mechanisms, and try to fix them. I think this is a responsibility of every decent human being to evolve, improve, heal, and become a better person. It does not have to do with preparing for marriage exclusively but for a better life and a better future in general, and ultimately for a better meeting with Allah swt. There are different ways to improve one's self, whether reading books or attending workshops or trainings or doing therapy. The point is, to actually strive to become a better person and a better Muslim.
Besides, a person (especially Muslim girls who grew up in the patriarchy) have to do their own research on the topic of marriage in Islam. As, unfortunately, our cultures promote a very different image than what Marriage in Islam is really like. The real image of marriage is provided throughout the Quran verses and the sunnah of our Prophet ﷺ. Alhamdulillah that there are plenty of lectures on the internet and sources from which one can benefit and get the chance to know what marriage is really like in Islam, what is expected and promised to the wife as well as the husband. The more knowledgeable a person is about marriage the less risk for them to be taken advantage of or used. Know your rights. Know your real worth in Islam. Especially for us women.
A very important point is to get closer to Allah swt, to rely on Him, to entrust all your affairs to Him and to consider Him in every aspect of your life and every decision you make. In surat Attalaq, Allah swt promises the following:
And unto everyone who is conscious of God, He [always] grants a way out [of unhappiness] and provides for him in a manner beyond all expectation; and for everyone who places his trust in God He [alone] is enough. Verily, God always attains to His purpose: [and] indeed, unto everything has God appointed its [term and] measure.
Finally, the most popular duaa when it comes to marriage is that of Prophet Musa as when He prayed it to Allah swt and immediately after he married the daughter of prophet Shoaib as, this duaa is mentioned in Surat al Qasass :
سورة القصص
فَسَقَىٰ لَهُمَا ثُمَّ تَوَلَّىٰ إِلَى الظِّلِّ فَقَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنْزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ ﴿٢٤﴾
24. So he drew water for them. Then he withdrew to the shade, and said, “My Lord, I am in dire need of whatever good you might send down to me.”
But there are no limits with duaa, in your sujud you can ask Allah swt whatever that is in your heart. Do not hold back. Lay it all out, and He will in shaa Allah answer.
May Allah swt grant you and the girls of this ummah the righteous partners worthy of your hearts, ameen.

Allah calls Himself As-Samee’— The Hearing, The Ever-Listening— on 45 occasions in the Quran. He is the One whose hearing and attention comprehends everything. As-Samee’ hears every word, thought, and secret, and He listens to every voice. As-Samee’ listens and pays attention to everything, perfectly, eternally, and without any limits!
The All-Hearing, The Ever-Listening

Samee’ comes from the root seen-meem-‘ayn, which refers to four main meanings. The first main meaning is to hear and to listen, and the second to accept and receive. The third main meaning is to pay attention to and the fourth is to understand the meaning.
This root appears 185 times in the Quran in 10 derived forms. Examples of these forms are sami’a (to hear, to listen), tusmi’u (to make hear), and as-sam’a (the hearing).
Linguistically samee’ is on the structure of intensification. As-Samee’ refers to the perfection and the totality of Allah’s hearing, which cannot be compared with the hearing of any other created being.
As-Samee’ Himself says: Our Lord! Accept this service from us: For You are the All-Hearing, the All-knowing [Quran, 2: 127] . . . If I am astray, I only stray to the loss of my own soul: but if I receive guidance, it is because of what my Lord reveals to me. He is All-Hearing, Ever-Near. [Quran, 34:50] . . . And Allah hears your discussions. Lo! Allah is All-Hearing, All-Seeing. [Quran, 58: 1]
No secrets for As-Samee’
As-Samee’ hears every single sound, every rustle of the tree, every voice, and every thought. Our most secret speech is an open declaration before Allah. As-Samee’ tells us: It is the same to Him whether one of you conceals his speech or declares it openly; whether he lies hidden by night or walks forth freely by day. [Quran, 13: 10] Aishah, may Allah be pleased with her, said: Glory be to Allah whose hearing embraces all voices. The woman came to the Prophet, peace be upon him, with her plea. She had a grievance against her husband. I was in the corner of the house and did not hear what she said. Then Allah revealed: Allah has heard the plea of the woman who pleads with you . . . [An-Nasaa’i, Ibn Maajah]
How Can You Live by This Name?
1. Watch that tongue.
How many times have you watched your mouth when certain people were around, like your parents, a teacher, or your boss? As a Muslim one of your tasks is to guard your tongue, anytime, anywhere, and in any company.
Parents sin if they use inappropriately harsh or curse words while disciplining the children. As-Samee’ told us: Not a word does he (or she) utter, but there is a watcher by him ready (to record it). [Quran, 50:18] Use your tongue wisely so that your words will not be something that keep you from the gates of Jannah.
2. Study the etiquette of speech for a Muslim.
How do you know if your speech is pleasing to As-Samee’ if you do not study His book and the sunnah of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him? Learn about the prohibitions of the tongue, like backbiting, swearing, and lying. Study the types of speech As-Samee’ loves to hear from you, like dhikr, good advice, kind words to others, and reciting the Quran.
3. Ask As-Samee’ in salah.
Did you know you have seven places where you seek As-Samee’ with supplications in your prayer? You can do so after the first takbeer, and on some occasions before bowing, also while bowing, when you rise from bowing, during your prostrations, between the two prostrations, and at the very end of the prayer before you say your Salaam. Make use of these times to ask for whatever (halaal) you want in this life and the next.
4. Be comforted by As-Samee’.
When Allah ‘azza wa jall sent Musa and Harun to confront the Pharaoh, He comforted them with the words: Fear not. Indeed, I am with you (both); I hear and I see. [Quran, 20:46] As-Samee’ hears and answers your prayers, so invoke Him and supplicate to Him. Remember— dua’ is the weapon of the believer and can make the mountains shake.
5. Seek refuge in As-Samee’.
The Prophet Muhammad, salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, used to seek refuge with Allah from four things, including a prayer that goes unheard:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ لَا يَنْفَعُ وَمِنْ قَلْبٍ لَا يَخْشَعُ وَمِنْ نَفْسٍ ‏لَا تَشْبَعُ ‏ ‏وَمِنْ دَعْوَةٍ لَا يُسْتَجَابُ لَهَا‏
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from knowledge which does not benefit, from a heart that does not entertain the fear (of Allah), from a soul that is not satisfied and the supplication that is not answered. [Muslim] The Prophet did not mean that he feared Allah would not hear the prayer itself, but rather that Allah would leave the prayer unanswered!
6. Ask As-Samee’ to bless your hearing.
Allah As-Samee’ loves those who use the abilities He gave them for His sake. Did Allah give you ears to listen to gossip or music? Did He give you a tongue so He could hear swearing and lying from you? Ask Him to help you to use your hearing and your tongue only for things pleasing to Him.
7. Pick the right words.
A true believer would never intentionally give reason to others to be doubtful, nor hurt their feelings in any way. You must ensure, as far as possible, that what you say is heard and understood by all involved; pick your words with wisdom.
8. Feel ‘sami’Allahu liman hamidah’.
Next to the amazing Hearing of Allah, The beautiful name As-Samee’ also means He answers our prayers. After bowing in prayer we say: sami’Allahu liman hamidah (Allah hears the one who praises Him). We know that Allah hears us; this means that Allah answers those who praise Him and seek Him in prayer. Now every time you say sami’Allahu liman hamidah, feel that Allah is The All-Hearer and make the intention to strive that He only hears good from you.
O Allah, As-Samee’, we know You hear every sound and thought. Aid us to watch our tongues and use them for Your sake only, protect us from foul speech, bless our tongue and our hearing, and make us of those whose prayers are answered, ameen!

Ramadan Challenge 2023
Ramadan Day 21/30: Any feel-good dua acceptance stories to share? It could be your own story, a friend’s, or even from a sheikh that you heard
I had to do quite a bite of googling to find this story. (I saw it on Facebook few years back and infact I don't think this is the one I saw back then) Basically, the story of Imam Al Bukhari's mother who was a widowed woman and prayed in tahajjud every night to give her son eyesight again (Imam Al Bukhari was blind as a child). Eventually, her duas were granted and Imam Al Bukhari woke up one day with eyesight subhanAllah.
The story I was actually trying to find was one in which a woman comes to a Prophet (it was either Musa AS or Muhammad SAW) asking to make dua that she has a child (iirc) and the Prophet says that it is in the divine decree that she cannot have children. But the woman persists in making dua and one day comes to the Prophet because she is of child. I really don't know whether this is exactly how the story goes but it was super inspiring to me, how it showed that dua has the power to change Qadr 🥺.
May we make the best use of these remaining days of Ramadan to make sincere dua for the best in dunya and akhirah ameen.

Why Me #4
why is this my family?
Tumblr media
Allah memuji pengorbanan orang tua untuk anak-anak mereka. kita gabakal inget gimana ajaibnya kita lahir, kita ga mungkin ingat rasa sakit ibu kita dan kurang tidur setiap malamnya dan gimana kekhawatiran orang tua kita ketika membesarkan pas kita masih bayi. Dan mungkin kita gabisa menghargai pengorbanan orang tua kita sendiri sampai kita merasakannya dan memiliki anak sendiri. Itulah mengapa Allah berfirman dalam QS 46:15
Tumblr media
The queen of the heart of the prophet…
