PODEVENT: SUPPLICATION OF THE HOLY PROPHET MOSA, PEACE BE UPON HIM
Tumblr media
The next great event which will be discussed in this blog series is mentioned in chapter 28 Al Qasas, verse 24:
“So he watered [their flocks] for them; then he went back to the shade and said, "My Lord, indeed I am, for whatever good You would send down to me, in need."
This supplication of the Holy Prophet Mosa, peace be upon him, teaches muslims the importance of humility. This pious characteristic allows a muslim to acknowledge with their heart and through their actions that every blessing they possess has been granted to them by none other than Allah, the Exalted. The Holy Prophet Mosa, peace be upon him, confirmed in this supplication that all good in this world and the next is granted by Allah, the Exalted. But more importantly even though it is fact that nothing in creation occurs without the will and choice of Allah, the Exalted, which includes difficulties and hardships, it is a sign of true servanthood not to attribute these things to Allah, the Exalted. Meaning, the Holy Prophet Mosa, peace be upon him, mentioned the good things Allah, the Exalted, chose for him but did not mention the great difficulty he was in which occurred through the will and choice of Allah, the Exalted, as this can be seen as a type of complaint. The Holy Prophet Ibrahim, peace be upon him, did the same thing when he attributed good things to Allah, the Exalted, yet attributed illness to himself even though illnesses only occur through the choice and will of Allah, the Exalted. Chapter 26 Ash Shu’ara, verse 80:
“And when I am ill, it is He who cures me.”
This attitude is important to adopt as it makes one’s mentality positive rather than negative. The one who adopts a negative mentality will only ever observe and mention their problems instead of observing the countless blessings they still possess which leads to impatience and further difficulties. Whereas, the one who possesses a positive mind-set will only ever observe and mention the countless blessings they possess in all situations which leads to patience and true gratitude which is shown by the Holy Prophet Mosa, peace be upon him, in this great event. It is important to firmly believe that the glass is half full not half empty.

THE HISTORY OF ODUMOSA, THE POWERFUL HUNTER AND FOUNDER OF ERIN-ILE KWARA STATE
Erin-ile, an old Yoruba town was established around 1225 AD for example more than 878 years prior. History of Erin-ile goes back to the verbose return of Oranyan from Edo nation after his red hot military campaigns against the Igbos who were then annoying that piece of Oduduwa's reality.
Erin-ile is probably the most established town in the old Oyun Local Government Area, including Offa. Erin-ile town was established about a similar time as Ipee and the limit between these two was before the coming of Offa town. Solid oral custom and serious research agreeably spin the authentic cause of Erin-ile around one famous regal sovereign of Ife called ODUMOSA.
He was known to be an eminent tracker and marksman, subsequently his name "APAAYAN", for example a marksman who was presumed for his best games. As the fore-name recommend, Odu-mosa was additionally a faithful religionist and a figuring chief. He was a shrewd executive and appealling character. He was the grandson of lord OBALUFON of Ife. OBALUFON is the contracted from the OBA ILU IFE for example (The ruler of Ile-Ife), and Olufon its short structure implies OLU-IFE for example (the ruler of Ife).
He was an acclaimed skilled worker and the first to acquaint metal works with Ife. He is as yet being exceptionally venerated for that important commitment. Ruler Obalufon was ruling when his nephew sovereign ORANMIYAN drove his arrangement of military undertakings to Benin. Ruler Obalufon later kicked the bucket and sovereign ORANMIYAN who was the beneficiary obvious didn't return in time from the war front. In his nonattendance, lord Obalufon's child ALAIYEMORE was designated and introduced as the following Ife ruler.
From that point, sovereign Oranmiyan surfaced suddenly to Ife. Frenzy held everybody inspired by a paranoid fear of what might and could be the response of such a fierce military legend to his life aspiration being so run by his counsin's climb to the seat which he (Oranmiyan) had constantly desired. In such a disrupted and unsure circumstance, ODUMOSA who was the immediate child of lord Alaiyemore thought of it as foothardy to sit tight in Ife for ORANMIYAN's response.
He immediately chose to stop Ife so as to get away from the conceivable anger of Oranmiyan. It was everybody's conviction that whoever incited Oranmiyan welcomed searing war. Odumosa set off with a huge unforeseen of devotees including his child ALAWODE AREBIOPE and his stepbrother, ruler ALAPA. He conveyed with him enough supplies of essential needs. he brought various valuable fortunes from the castle. Among such were beaded crowns, glorious clothing types, regal staff (EDAN OBALUFON), Obalufon's celebration silver crown, set of strung coral dots, the way of life of Obalufon, Ifa prophet, war types of gear, arms and ammo, (for games and self preservation) and a puzzling clarion horn for collecting his adherents at whatever point they dispersed looking for games and food or were abandoned. He depended particularly on the horn which he likewise used to give war or harmony signs and headings of next developments to his supporters.
Like patriarch Abraham of the Jewish history who on divine requests left his folks in the land Haran for an obscure goal. Odu-mosa left Ife on Ifa prophet's guidance for the open wide world without learning his genuine goal. He was a man of confidence, without a doubt a man of dauntless boldness, never terrified of slopes or wildernesses, dry land or overwhelmed planes. He continued endlessly nudging his contingents to walk and head quick in the opposite direction from a potential pursue by Oranmiyan. He told his kin "E RIN E RIN; E RIN" for example WALK FAST, WALK FAST, WALK FAST. The name ERIN was later suffixed with "ILE", which signifies the terminal finish of the trek on Ifa prophet's heading to frame the compound name ERIN-ILE.
After a long spell of meandering and meandering aimlessly before they arrived at that goal, they ended and rested in various spots, as ERINMO or ERIN-ITADOGUN for example an intersection place where they laid on seventeenth day of their trek and made places of arrangement fronds. A major market was set up at the intersection settlement. When Odumosa left, a portion of his devotees stayed behind and settled for all time in ERINMO. Other spot of visit included ERIN-OKE, ERIN-IJESHA, which are all now remarkable towns in Osun State. At Erin-ile, Odumosa met three trackers; Olowe, Afolumodi and Gbaagba, who received him as their first ruler when they was aware of his august status.
At a last visit before Erin-ile, Odumosa, Odumosa overlooked his clarion horn. When they returned for it, it had sunk and shimmering water, presently the stream Owo has begun spouting out of it. It was at this crossroads that his stepbrother, ruler Alapa isolated from him while Odumosa moved west ward, Alapa moved east ward. Alapa now settled Eku-Apa now in Irepodun LGA of Kwara State.
An a lot later settlement of Odumosa's replacements are Erin Papa, established on an open meadow by the thirteenth Elerin of Erin-Ile in rebellion of Alimi, the Fulani Jihadist. Erin Papa was found in Osun State and is presently called Erin – Osun. Around 1907, Elerin olaojo chose to profit to Erin-Ile for discontinuance of threats by the Jihadist. A few residents tailed him while some picked to remain. Erin_osun is likewise a major toen and she imparts close proclivity to Erin-ile. Indeed, the two towns are "twain" towns.
Aside from towns and settlements set up legitimately by Odumosa or his replacements, there are additionally families who have blood or social proclivity with Erin-Ile and are living in different networks. They can be perceived by their surname (oriki) regardless of whether they are in Ibadan, Abeokuta, Ilorin, Oshogbo, Ilesha, Ogbomoso or Offa. Such names incorporate, "More, Mosa" (from Alaiyemore and Odumosa), "Omo Elerin Mosa", "Omo Elewe Ladogba", "Omo Obalufon L'Erin", "Omo Abinuwole" alluding to Olowe who sank alive and "Omo Abiowe" again alluding to Olowe star war pioneer of Erin-Ile. Some outstanding Nigerians with such names incorporate Ali Agboguleri; Saka Pena, Adegoke Adelabu (Penkelemi) and Oba Gbadamosi Adebimpe all in Ibadan, the balogun group of Iragbiji, the Duro Ladipo family in Oshogbo, the Ige family in Ijeshaland spreading to Ibadan, the Toki family in Offa and on the maternal side, the Olugbense imperial family in Offa and so forth.
By and by, Erin-Ile is in Oyun LGA of Kwara State and was the base camp of the Local Governement when it was first made in 1980. For odd reasons, the central command was moved when the Federal Military Government re-made the L.G.A. in 1990. Erin-Ile is on the southern-most edge of Kwara State and offers limits with Offa, Ilemona, Irra, Eku-Apa, Ipee, Igosun all in Kwara State and Oyan and Ila - Odo in Osun State. She is overhauled by current enhancements. A yearly celebration impossible to miss to her is the Obalufon celebration named after their begetter in Ile-Ife.

Enos Chapter 1. Parsha Zin begins.
Tumblr media
The book of Enos, "Humankind."
Enos prays mightily and gains a remission of his sins—The voice of the Lord comes into his mind, promising salvation for the Lamanites in a future day—The Nephites sought to reclaim the Lamanites—Enos rejoices in his Redeemer. About 420 B.C.
The Gematria has changed from 421 to 420, and the word that is surfaces is "Sayon" or "Zion", "Zin" or "Utopia" but we are taking a certain slant on the word in order to arrive at a definition and a rubric for a new Parsha:
יצא
The verb יצא (yasa') describes a divergent motion: to go out or go forth. Noun צאצא (se'esa) means offspring or produce. Noun מוצא (mosa') denotes a place, agent or act of going out: a going forth, an utterance, a source or spring of water, a place of departure, a mine. It's also the word for sunrise. The similar noun מוצאה (mosa'a) means latrine. Noun תוצאה (tosa'a) denotes a full collection of whatever goings-out.
צנן
The unused verb צנן (sanan) probably meant something as vague as to be something that extends out, since all extant nouns describe items that go out or have gone out. Nouns צן (sen), צנה (sinna) and צנין (sanin) describe thorns, hooks or barbs. Noun צנה (sinna) means coolness. Noun צנה (sinna) denotes a large shield. Noun צנצנת (sinsenet) denotes a kind of jar (with a wide mouth and narrow neck?).
צאן
The noun צאן (so'n) describes a flock of small animals like sheep or goats, which proverbially wanders about and disperses during times of carefree ease.
We start to learn a bit more about the Lamanites, "the sons of ignorance" or "the thorns, hooks, and barbs" of human nature that get in the way of a life lived more fully in the illumination of the Gospels, the Language of God:
1 Behold, it came to pass that I, Enos, knowing my father that he was a just man—for he taught me in his language, and also in the nurture and admonition of the Lord—and blessed be the name of my God for it—
2 And I will tell you of the wrestle which I had before God, before I received a remission of my sins.
3 Behold, I went to hunt beasts in the forests; and the words which I had often heard my father speak concerning eternal life, and the joy of the saints, sunk deep into my heart.
-> Beasts in the forest = the animal natures that are the root causes of the Lamanites. They are comprised of all the immature and savage instincts men entertain in spite of the accoutrements of modern civilization.
4 And my soul hungered; and I kneeled down before my Maker, and I cried unto him in mighty prayer and supplication for mine own soul; and all the day long did I cry unto him; yea, and when the night came I did still raise my voice high that it reached the heavens.
5 And there came a voice unto me, saying: Enos, thy sins are forgiven thee, and thou shalt be blessed.
6 And I, Enos, knew that God could not lie; wherefore, my guilt was swept away.
7 And I said: Lord, how is it done?
8 And he said unto me: Because of thy faith in Christ, whom thou hast never before heard nor seen. And many years pass away before he shall manifest himself in the flesh; wherefore, go to, thy faith hath made thee whole.
-> Recall from Jacob Chapter 7 Sherem did the same thing, at the behest of the Prophet Jacob gave up his ghost so the Holy Ghost could inhabit him.
9 Now, it came to pass that when I had heard these words I began to feel a desire for the welfare of my brethren, the Nephites; wherefore, I did pour out my whole soul unto God for them.
-> The Nephites are leadership skills. We know they developed as one leaves home, and gives up all pretense one knows of God when all one does is act like a god. To be able to discern what is of God and what are but the murmurs of a little god is a sign of a Nephite.
10 And while I was thus struggling in the spirit, behold, the voice of the Lord came into my mind again, saying: I will visit thy brethren according to their diligence in keeping my commandments. I have given unto them this land, and it is a holy land; and I curse it not save it be for the cause of iniquity; wherefore, I will visit thy brethren according as I have said; and their transgressions will I bring down with sorrow upon their own heads.
11 And after I, Enos, had heard these words, my faith began to be unshaken in the Lord; and I prayed unto him with many long strugglings for my brethren, the Lamanites.
12 And it came to pass that after I had prayed and labored with all diligence, the Lord said unto me: I will grant unto thee according to thy desires, because of thy faith.
13 And now behold, this was the desire which I desired of him—that if it should so be, that my people, the Nephites, should fall into transgression, and by any means be destroyed, and the Lamanites should not be destroyed, that the Lord God would preserve a record of my people, the Nephites; even if it so be by the power of his holy arm, that it might be brought forth at some future day unto the Lamanites, that, perhaps, they might be brought unto salvation—
14 For at the present our strugglings were vain in restoring them to the true faith. And they swore in their wrath that, if it were possible, they would destroy our records and us, and also all the traditions of our fathers.
15 Wherefore, I knowing that the Lord God was able to preserve our records, I cried unto him continually, for he had said unto me: Whatsoever thing ye shall ask in faith, believing that ye shall receive in the name of Christ, ye shall receive it.
16 And I had faith, and I did cry unto God that he would preserve the records; and he covenanted with me that he would bring them forth unto the Lamanites in his own due time.
17 And I, Enos, knew it would be according to the covenant which he had made; wherefore my soul did rest.
18 And the Lord said unto me: Thy fathers have also required of me this thing; and it shall be done unto them according to their faith; for their faith was like unto thine.
19 And now it came to pass that I, Enos, went about among the people of Nephi, prophesying of things to come, and testifying of the things which I had heard and seen.
20 And I bear record that the people of Nephi did seek diligently to restore the Lamanites unto the true faith in God. But our labors were vain; their hatred was fixed, and they were led by their evil nature that they became wild, and ferocious, and a blood-thirsty people, full of idolatry and filthiness; feeding upon beasts of prey; dwelling in tents, and wandering about in the wilderness with a short skin girdle about their loins and their heads shaven; and their skill was in the bow, and in the cimeter, and the ax. And many of them did eat nothing save it was raw meat; and they were continually seeking to destroy us.
21 And it came to pass that the people of Nephi did till the land, and raise all manner of grain, and of fruit, and flocks of herds, and flocks of all manner of cattle of every kind, and goats, and wild goats, and also many horses.
Cattle= idolators. People who follow politicians and religious pundits instead of thinking for themselves.
Goats= men who have become tame but are not fully baptized in the Holy Spirit and need to remain close to the herd and the Shepherd until they realize the Holiest of of Holies.
Wild Goats= wild goats have great potential provided they are sacrificed:
But Moses continued:
And to the children of Israel, you shall speak, saying, “Take a he-goat as a sin offering…”2
What now? Why a goat? What other “unfinished business” did the people have to attend to before the glory of G‑d would appear before them?
While the calf immediately evokes the story of the golden calf, finding the meaning of the goat is a bit harder. We must turn back to the book of Genesis to discover that indeed the goat played an important role in the most tragic sin of the family of Israel: the sale of Joseph.3 After the brothers tore their family to shreds by selling Joseph into servitude in Egypt (a sale which ultimately led the entire family to relocate to Egypt and descend into slavery), instead of showing remorse they used a goat for their cover-up:
And they took Joseph’s coat, and they slaughtered a he-goat, and they dipped the coat in the blood. And they sent the fine woolen coat, and they brought [it] to their father, and they said, “We have found this; now recognize whether it is your son’s coat or not.” He recognized it, and he said, “[It is] my son’s coat; a wild beast has devoured him; Joseph has surely been torn up.”4
As the people gathered at the Tabernacle waiting for a signWhat now? Why a goat? of the Divine presence, Moses taught them that in order to heal the relationship with their Father, the children must first heal their relationship with each other. He explained that the jealousy and division which led to the sale of Joseph, was, in fact, the precise character trait which led to the division and separation from G‑d at the golden calf, and in order to find harmony with G‑d, it must be eradicated from their midst.
For indeed, the only way children can be in complete harmony with a parent is when they are in complete harmony with each other.5
22 And there were exceedingly many aprophets among us. And the people were a stiffnecked people, hard to understand.
23 And there was nothing save it was exceeding harshness, preaching and prophesying of wars, and contentions, and destructions, and continually reminding them of death, and the duration of eternity, and the judgments and the power of God, and all these things—stirring them up continually to keep them in the fear of the Lord. I say there was nothing short of these things, and exceedingly great plainness of speech, would keep them from going down speedily to destruction. And after this manner do I write concerning them.
24 And I saw wars between the Nephites and Lamanites in the course of my days.
25 And it came to pass that I began to be old, and an hundred and seventy and nine years had passed away from the time that our father Lehi left Jerusalem.
179= Eighteen years old, when a goat is supposed to become a king.
26 And I saw that I must soon go down to my grave, having been wrought upon by the power of God that I must preach and prophesy unto this people, and declare the word according to the truth which is in Christ. And I have declared it in all my days, and have rejoiced in it above that of the world.
27 And I soon go to the place of my rest, which is with my Redeemer; for I know that in him I shall rest. And I rejoice in the day when my mortal shall put on immortality, and shall stand before him; then shall I see his face with pleasure, and he will say unto me: Come unto me, ye blessed, there is a place prepared for you in the mansions of my Father. Amen.
To rejoice in the plainness of truth, the Words of Christ found in the Gospels, the Prophet concludes, is the only way to convince men to graduate from the wilderness into a format resembling human kind.
There are too many prophets too little comprehension of the implications of these words. Thus the name of the new Parsha is Zin, a desert place which means we have to dry out, become unhabituated to nonsense and abide in a state of fact if we are ever going to be able to tone things down.

WHY DO WE FAST THE DAY OF ASHURA REASON WHY PROPHET MUHAMMAD ﷺ FASTED THE DAY OF AASHOORAA, IT'S THE GREAT DAY WHEN ALLAH SAVED MOSA عليه السلام AND HIS PEOPLE, AND DROWNED PHARAOH AND HIS PEOPLE. MOSA عليه السلام FASTED ON THIS DAY IN GRATITUDE TO ALLAH SUBHANAWATAALA. SO WE MUST FAST IT OUT OF RESPECT FOR IT. FASTING THE DAY OF 'ASHOORA' EXPIATES SINS FOR THE PAST YEAR. NARRATED BY MUSLIM1162. THE PROPHET MUHAMMADﷺ SAID: "FASTING THE DAY OF "'ASHOORA' I HOPE ALLAAH WILL EXPIATE THEREBY FOR THE YEAR THAT CAME BEFORE IT.” PROPHET MUHAMMAD ﷺ WAS KEEN TO FAST THIS DAY SAHIH BUKHARI 1902 THE PROPHET MUHAMMAD ﷺ USED TO BE VERY KEEN TO MAKE SURE HE FASTED ON THE DAY OF 'ASHOORA' BECAUSE OF ITS GREAT STATUS. RECOMMENDED TO FAST BOTH 9TH AND 10TH SAHIH MUSLIM 1134 THERE ARE DIFFERENT WAYS OF FASTING'ASHOORA', THE LEAST OF WHICH IS TO FAST THE TENTH ONLY, BUT IT IS BETTER TO FAST THE NINTH AS WELL. MY DEAR BROTHERS AND SISTERS MAKE SURE YOU FAST THIS DAY AND REMIND IT TO YOUR DEAR ONES TOO. #Aashura #muharram2022 #MuharramUlHaram #Muharram #foryoupage https://www.instagram.com/p/Cg12GgYpg4g/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

TO KNOW MORE ABOUT HOLY PROPHET MUHAMMAD( SAWS) HOUSEHOLD , WHO ARE ALSO KNOWN AS AHLUL BAYT(AS) , OR AALE MUHAMMAD, We have to go back into the history ; and to reduce the chances of any doubt , we shall try to get light , from the holy Qur'an;
" And when ALLAH tested Prophet Ibrahim (as) by some " Words" and he completed ( the test), ALLAH said; "Now I appoint thee Imam of the people.(Ibrahim) said , And how about my children ? , ALLAH said, My Promise won't be for the sinners (among them), "Holy Qur'an: 2:124).
As we have seen, here ALLAH granted the request of patriarch Abraham to bestow Imamah ( Imamhood or leadership) on the righteous descendants (not sinners , because sinful people cannot become Imams of the Ummah, SO IMAMS MUST BE IMPECCABLE AND INFALLIBLE ) .
WHO ARE THEY?
But who are the righteous children of Prophet Ibrahim(as) ? Well, those who , according to the Holy Qur'an, were granted Imamah or the leadership of the people of the Book, namely; Ismail , Is-haq, Yaqub , Yusof ,Dawoud, Solaiman, Mosa, Jesus(isah) , and finally , The last Prophet of ALLAH ( SWT)---- OUR VERY OWN BELOVED PROPHET MUHAMMAD (SAWS).
THEY are the righteous children of Prophet Ibrahim (as) or AALE IBRAHIM, who recieved Imamah or God given leadership over the believers , Now, there are two very important questions to be answered;
1.) Who are the AALE MUHAMMAD ( The same way) as Thou Hath Blessed AALE IBRAHIM ?'"( AT-TAHIYYAT , DAILY SALATS )
2) How did ALLAH bless Aale Ibrahim that we ask Him to bless AALE MOHAMMAD in the same manner ?
The second question has been answered by ALLAH in verse frm His Qur'an .
Are They (?) Jealous of the people(?) For what ALLAH hath given them from His Grace ? While we Gave AALE IBRAHIM the book and the wisdom and we gave them a GREAT POSSESSION?!"
HOLY QUR'AN 4:54
So ,what was given by ALLAH to AALE IBRAHIM ,was the BOOK, THE WISDOM AND A GREAT POSSESSION! ( both material as well as spiritual and leadership of the ummah).

This Hadith is about the prayer and following Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad SAW. All of us know, When we offer our prayers, we need to follow all the Sunnah and methods of Our Nabi. We can’t add anything from it and We can’t leave any step. The Story of Changing the Qiblah The story of this Hadith is about the time of changing the Qibla Awal. When after the migration from Makkah to Medina Qibla was changed. It was a big trial for Muhammad SAW and for His companions as well. But the true believers followed him and never argued for that. When Islam was revealed in Makkah,  the Kabah was the Qiblah in which direction Muslims used to offer Prayer. Kaaba was built by Prophet Ibraheem and His son. And it is the oldest and first house of Allah. Once Holy Prophet BBUH  was ordered by Allah to turn towards Jerusalem to Pray. Muslims complied with this divine instruction and continued to do so. all the companions of the Holy Prophet obeyd the instructions and never raised any objection or argument.   In Madinah there was a big number of Jews. Jews were used to do their holy rituals in the direction of Bait-ul-Maqdas( Jerusalem). Bait-ul-Maqdas was built by Prophet Sulemon and also the House of Allah.  My dear students,   This was just to Make jews understand that, islam is not a different religion. It was the religion of Prophet Mosa and all other Prophets. And Muslims also have a firm belief in all prophets and books.  Prophet PBUH tried his best to lead jews so that Jews may accept Islam. But they didn’t. Just few Jews believed and accepted Islam. Others became enemies of Ilsam and holy Prophet PBUH . They started to create hurdles and hidden plannings against Muslims.  After 17 months, Allah ordered Mulsims to change the direction and pray towards Kabah. Dear children  This was the time of Asr prayer. All muslims were offering thier prayer following Muhammad SAW.  In the meantime, The order of Allah was revealed to Prophet that, Turn your sides towards Holy Kabah. So Prophet PUH turned back and changed direction. All companions of Our Prophet started to move and go back to the Holy Prophet PBUH in a moment.  No question was raised. رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ “My lord, I am in absolute need of the good You send me (Rabbi inni lima anzalta ilayya min khairin faqir)” [Qur’an, 28:24] This is the supplication that the Prophet Mosa (Allah bless him and give him peace) made after helping the two young ladies draw water from the well. Many of the righteous have recommended this supplication for the one seeking a spouse, job or family (kids etc). He got all after this dua. https://www.instagram.com/p/B6a37bnA5Om/?igshid=1dayejxi02i16

At age 35 he became the leader of the Islamic union. His life was contemporary to the Abbasid reign and therefore, he suffered great difficulties made by the Abbasids. Finally, he was martyred by Ma"moon (the contemporary Abbasid Caliph) at the age of 55.His name, title and honorary nameHis name is Ali, his title is Abu al-Hassan, and his most famous honorary name is reza, meaning Satisfaction. According to his son, Imam Muhammad Taqi (PBUH), the ninth Imam, The glorious and mighty Lord named him reza because Allah was pleased with him in the heavens and the Prophet of Allah and the Imams of guidance were pleased with him on earth. Also, his friends and relatives and even his enemies were satisfied with him because of his great moral qualitiesOne of his famous titles is Alim Al Muhammad (scholar of Prophet"s progeny). His success in the different disputes with the scholars of various religions indicates his high knowledge. We will discuss some incidents in this article. This ability and superiority in knowledge is a proof for his Imamat, as it can be inferred from his sayings. His father and motherHis father was Imam Mousa al-Kadhim (PBUH), the seventh Imam. He was martyred by Haroon on 138 (AH). His mother was Najmah. His birthImam reza (PBUH) was born on in the year 148 on the 11th of Ziqadah in Medina. His life in MedinaBefore traveling to Marv, Imam reza (PBUH) lived in Medina; city where the shrine of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&HP) and his fathers grave exists. He was occupied with guiding people, indicating Islamic educations and Prophets (PBUH&HP) Sirah (manner and behavior). People of Medina loved him and assumed him as their father. Although he had spent most of his life in Medina, he had many followers throughout the Islamic counties. He points out this fact on a discussion about succession: In fact succession didnt make a distinction for me. When I was in Medina, people in east and west obeyed me and nobody was superior to me. They told me their requirements and I granted their requests and they treated me as a magnate. His ImamateHis Imamate was announced repeatedly by his father, grandfathers, and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Especially Imam Kazem (PBUH) mentioned him as the Imam after himself several times. For instance, one of his followers narrates,"One day Imam Kazem (PBUH) came to us, holding his sons (Ali) hand. We were 60 people. He said: Do you know me? I said: You are our leader. He said: Say my name and title I said: You are Mosa bin Jafar bin Muhammad He said: Who is this guy with me? I said: Ali bin Mosa bin Jafar. He said: So profess that he is my representative during my life and my successor after my death."He is further introduced as the eighth Imam in a saying of Prophet (PBUH) narrated by Jaber. Also, Imam Sadegh (PBUH) told Imam Kazem (PBUH) that the knowledge of Prophet"s (PBUH) progeny is of your sons and he is your successor.Political situationsImam rezas (PBUH) Imamate lasted eight years, which can be divided into three Period:1-The first ten years was contemporary to Haroons caliphate.2-The next five years was contemporary to Amins caliphate.3-The last five years was contemporary to Mamoons caliphate. It was during the first period that great disasters, especially the martyrdom of Imam Kazem (PBUH), happened to the Alavi people (the children of Imam Ali (PBUH)). Haroon was instigated to kill Imam reza (PBUH), but had not found the opportunity. After Haroon, Amin became the caliph. At that period, the government was weakened. Amin was drowned in his corruption and paid no attention to Imam and his followers. This period was peaceful for Imam and his followersHowever, Mamoon killed his brother, Amin, and became the caliph. He suppressed the objectors and gained the control of all the Islamic countries. He gave the leadership of Iraq to one of his agents and settled in Marv. He then chose Fazl ibn Sahl, who was a great politician, as his minister. But the Alavi people were a threat to his government. After suffering murder, plunder and torture for a century, they had found the opportunity to object the government and to overthrow it. They were successful in gaining peoples support, because they also had suffered great losses from the Abbasid Caliphate. Therefore, Mamoon decided not to confront them and wanted to bring back peace and security to strengthen his government. So, after consulting Fazl, he came up with a treacherous plan. He decided to offer the caliphate to Imam reza (PBUH) and withdraw himself. Because whether the Imam accepted or not, it would still be a victory for Mamoon. If Imam accepted, and became Caliph allowing for Mamoon to be the vice-caliph, that would guarantee the legitimacy of Mamoon"s government. Thus Ma"moon decided to force the position of Caliph on Imam. It was then easier for him to eliminateImam reza (PBUH) and become the legal leader. In this case, the Shiites would consider his government to be legitimate and would be satisfied with it and accepted him as Imam"s successor. Furthermore, the risings made against his government would lose their attraction and legitimacy. However, if Imam didn"t accept the caliphate, he would then oblige Imam to be his successor and guarantee the legitimacy of his government through this to weaken the uprisings. On the other hand, he could make Imam settle near himself to control Imam and suppress his followers. In addition, Imam Reza's (PBUH) Shiites and followers would criticize him for not accepting the caliphate and he would lose his respect among them. The journey to the KhurasanTo accomplish his mentioned goals, Ma"moon sent some of his special agents to Imam reza (PBUH) in Medina to force him to set on a journey to Khurasan. He also ordered to take Imam reza (PBUH) through a path that has the least number of Shiites. The main roads in those days were the roads to Kufa, Jabal, Kermanshah, and Qom, which were all mainly Shiite cities. It seemed probable to Ma"moon that Shiites may get excited when they see Imam and prevent him to continue his travel to stay with them instead. To prevent these troubles, Ma"moon made Imam reza (PBUH) travel through the paths of Basreh, Ahvaz, and Fars to Marv. His agents also watched Imam continuously and reported to Ma"moon on all of Imam"s activities. The Selselah al-Zahab (The Golden Chain) traditionWherever he stopped, during his journey towards Marv, he caused for many blessings upon the people. At one point on his way, he entered the city of Neishaboor. A large crowd of people gathered to welcome his entrance. Meanwhile two learned men who had recorded many prophetic traditions came with scholars of Hadith, took the halter, and said: You, the great Imam and you, the son of great Imams, for the sake of your innocent fathers and your great grandfathers, show us your shining face and narrate us a tradition from your fathers and your great grandfather, the messenger of Allah, to be as a reminder for us. Imam ordered to stop and the people obeyed. Once they saw his face, they became so happy that some of them start crying and some who were close to him kissed his carriage. A big clamor was made throughout the city so, the elders of the city wanted people to be quiet so they could hear a tradition from Imam reza (PBUH). After a while the crowd got silent and Imam dictated this tradition word by word from his honored father which was narrated from his pure grandfathers and from the messenger of Allah (PBUH) and from Gabriel and from Almighty Allah that: The word of La Ilaha Illa al-Allah is my fortress (then whoever says this has entered my fortress) and whoever enters my fortress will be saved from my punishment. Imam paused for a while and then said, But on some conditions and I am one of its conditions. This tradition indicates that one of the necessities of saying the word of , La Ilaha Illa al-Allah which is to strengthen the principle of divine unity, is confirming his Imamat, obeying, and accepting his words and deeds that has been specified by the Almighty Allah. In fact Imam believes the Oneness of God (Tawhid) as a condition of being safe from Allah"s punishment and the acceptance of leadership and Mastership (Imamat and Wilayat) as the condition of believing in Oneness of Allah.Succession to CaliphateWhen Imam reza (PBUH) entered Marv, Ma"moon welcomed him royally and publicly through a speech in front of all the key characters of government. He said: All should know that I do not know anyone better and more deserving on succession than Ali ibn Moosi al-Reza in descendants of Abbas or Ali (PBUH).After that he turned his face to Imam and said: I have decided to dethrone myself and announce you as the Caliph. Imam reza (PBUH) said: If Allah has specified Caliphate for you then it is not permitted to give it to another one and if it is not yours then you do not have the authority to give it to another one.Ma"moon insisted on what he wanted but Imam said: Never will I accept that. When Ma"moon got disappointed, he told Imam: Then accept to be the Caliph after me, and successor of me. The insistence of Ma"moon on his wants and Imam Reza's (PBUH) refusal lasted for two month. He did not accept and said, I have heard from my fathers that I will die before you and will be martyred with poison and angles of the earth and skies will cry for me and I will be buried in the land of nostalgia beside Haroon al-Rashid. But Ma"moon insisted on succession of Imam reza (PBUH) in such way that he threatened Imam to death in a secret and private ceremony. Thus Imam said: Now, since I am obliged, I accept it but on the condition that I do not appoint or depose anyone and do not change any custom or rule and control affaires imperceptibly. Ma"moon had no choice but to accept this condition. After that Imam raised his hands and said: O, my God, you know that they opposed me under duress and I chose it by force. So please do not take me to task just as your two prophets, Yousef and Danial, when they accepted the leadership position of the kings of their time. O! My God, there is no vow except yours and no Mastership except of yours. So please help me to establish your religion and to follow your prophet"s custom. Indeed, what a good master and a good assistant you are.

PODEVENT: ENVIRONMENT OF THE HOLY PROPHET MOSA, PEACE BE UPON HIM
Tumblr media
The next great event which will be discussed in this blog series is mentioned in chapter 28 Al Qasas, verse 9:
“And the wife of Pharaoh said, "[He will be] a comfort of the eye [i.e., pleasure] for me and for you. Do not kill him; perhaps he may benefit us, or we may adopt him as a son." And they perceived not.”
This great event indicates the importance of remaining steadfast in the obedience of Allah, the Exalted, by fulfilling His commands, refraining from His prohibitions and by facing destiny with patience, even when one is exposed to a non-Islamic environment. In the case of the Holy Prophet Mosa, peace be upon him, it is widely known that he was raised in the palace of Pharaoh. One can imagine the evil practices which took place there yet, the Holy Prophet Mosa, peace be upon him, was unaffected by them and still adhered to noble character throughout his life. Even though, he was divinely protected from being negatively influenced muslims must follow in his footsteps. In this day and age muslims have spread across the world and have integrated with different societies and cultures. Even though, Islam teaches muslims to respect the cultures and opinions of other communities yet, they must adhere to the teachings of Islam instead of adopting customs which contradict its teachings. Unfortunately, as many muslims did not remain steadfast on the teachings of Islam when they integrated with other societies they adopted their customs and fused them with the teachings of Islam to such a degree that many of these muslims do not know the difference between Islamic practices and non-Islamic practices. One only needs to observe most of the modern day muslim weddings to understand this fact. The same way the Holy Prophet Mosa, peace be upon him, did not adopt the practices of the family of Pharaoh while being raised in his palace muslims must adhere to the teachings of Islam irrespective of where they live. This was the attitude of the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, who journeyed to strange lands yet, always adhered to these teachings.
It is important to note, as proven by history the more a muslim adopts non-Islamic practices the less they will act on the teachings of the Holy Quran and the traditions of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him.

Life of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) - Part 21
Tumblr media
Patience in the Face of Evil -
The Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, would take every opportunity to call people towards Islam. But those who opposed him such as his uncle Abu Lahab strived hard against him in order to prevent the message of Islam from spreading. For example, during the fair of Dhu Al Majaz, the Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, called people towards Islam. His uncle, Abu Lahab, would follow him everywhere he went and would hurl lies and abuses at him. This incident has been recorded in Imam Ibn Kathir’s, the Life of the Prophet, Volume 1, Page 335.
This incident shows the importance of remaining patient whenever one strives in doing things which are good. Whenever one invites others towards Islam, commands good and forbids evil they will be challenging the heedless lifestyle of many others which will inspire them to resist the truth anyway they can. The major reason all the past nations rejected their Holy Prophets, peace be upon them, was due to this very reason. They could not abandon their lifestyles and characteristics and in defense of them were prepared to wage war against Allah, the Exalted, and their Holy Prophet, peace be upon him. When one takes up this important duty they must be prepared to face many hardships caused by others including their own relatives. The Holy Prophets, peace be upon them, are the most beloved to Allah, the Exalted, yet they encountered countless difficulties from their nations. One only needs to study the Holy Quran and the Hadiths of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, to observe this fact. For example, the Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, once declared in a Hadith found in Jami At Tirmidhi, number 2472, that no one in creation had been persecuted in the path of Allah, the Exalted, more than him.
In cases like this one’s response to the bad attitude of others should be educated, respectful and gentle. An example of this is found in chapter 19 Maryam, verses 46-47:
“[His father] said, "Have you no desire for my gods, O Abraham? If you do not desist, I will surely stone you, so avoid me a prolonged time." [Abraham] said, "Peace [i.e., safety] will be upon you. I will ask forgiveness for you of my Lord. Indeed, He is ever gracious to me.”
Here the kind and respectful response of the Holy Prophet Ibrahim, peace be upon him, to the harsh attitude of his elder is discussed.
In most cases, a person must possess a character flaw if they claim to get along with everyone. Due to the differences within the members of society a person will never get along with everyone. They will always be one or more that disagree with their mentality, life style and advice. This diversity will lead to tension and occasionally problems. But if a person is liked by everyone then in most cases it shows they have adopted the mentality of the hypocrites by being two-faced. If the Holy Prophets, peace be upon them, were not loved by all how can a normal person achieve this status? This is the reason one should not believe in propaganda as the group that were mistreated the most in this way were the Holy Prophets, peace  be upon them. This is confirmed in a Hadith found in Sunan Ibn Majah, number 4023.
For example, the Holy Prophet Mosa, peace be upon him, was once falsely accused of illegal relations by a shameless woman. She was enticed into slandering him by the enemy of Allah, the Exalted, Quraoon. When she accused the Holy Prophet Mosa, peace be upon him, publically during a religious gathering he interrogated her. When she observed his reaction she immediately retracted her accusation and admitted the truth. As a result Allah, the Exalted, destroyed Quraoon by commanding the Earth to swallow him and his great treasury. This incident has been recorded in Imam Dhahabi’s, The Major Sins, Pages 166-167. Chapter 28 Al Qasas, verse 81:
“And We caused the earth to swallow him and his home…”
The Holy Prophets, peace be upon them, were slandered on many occasions but they remained steadfast on their mission until they were granted victory by Allah, the Exalted. When Allah, the Exalted, decides to complete a task like aiding the one who spreads the true word of faith the entire creation combined cannot stop Him.
Muslims must accept that they too will face hardships when spreading the word of Islam. Therefore, they must follow in the footsteps of the Holy Prophets, peace be upon them, by remaining steadfast in the face of difficulties. This was the attitude of the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, and the righteous predecessors. If one desires to join them in the next world they must adopt this attitude also.
In addition, the attitude demonstrated by Abu Lahab in this particular incident is an aspect of hypocrisy which Muslims must avoid.
This type of person spreads corruption in society. This negative characteristic affects all social levels beginning from a family unit and ending at the international level. This type of person dislikes seeing people uniting on good as this may cause the worldly status of others to increase beyond their own. This drives them to backbiting and slander in order to cause people to turn against each other. Their evil attitude destroys their own ties of kinship and when they observe other families who are happy it drives them to destroy their happiness also. They are fault finders who dedicate their time unveiling the mistakes of others in order to drag their social status down. They are the first people to begin gossiping about others and act deaf whenever good things are spoken about. Peace and quiet disturbs them so they seek to create problems in order to entertain themself. They fail to remember the Hadith found in Sunan Ibn Majah, number 2546. It advises that whoever covers the faults of others Allah, the Exalted, will cover their faults. But whoever seeks out and unveils the faults of others Allah, the Exalted, will expose their faults to the people. So in realty, this type of person is only unveiling their own faults to society even though they believe they are exposing the faults of others.

PODEVENT: THE HOLY PROPHET MOSA, PEACE BE UPON HIM, SEEKS KNOWLEDGE
Tumblr media
The next great event which will be discussed in this blog series is mentioned in Chapter 18 Al Kahf, verse 60:
“And [mention] when Moses said to his boy [i.e., servant], "I will not cease [traveling] until I reach the junction of the two seas or continue for a long period."”
A muslim should never believe they possess too much knowledge so they do not need to seek or gain more. In addition, they should never be too shy in gaining useful knowledge from anyone irrespective of their age, social status or anything else. The Holy Prophet Mosa, peace be upon him, is one of the highest ranking Holy Prophets, peace be upon them, yet he still journeyed to learn from someone who possessed a lower rank than his. A person who rejects the truth when it is presented to them because they believe they are superior to the one who is imparting the knowledge has clearly adopted pride. This is confirmed in a Hadith found in Sahih Muslim, number 265. In fact, this same Hadith warns that an atom’s worth of pride is enough to take someone to Hell.
Unfortunately, this attitude is commonly observed in this day and age as muslims often ignore the advice and knowledge given to them by those who are younger than them. This is often seen in parents who reject what their children advise claiming parents always know best. As proven by this verse a person should never be embarrassed or ashamed to accept the truth from anyone.
Put simply, the muslim who believes they do not need to gain knowledge from others is a truly ignorant person even if they possess much knowledge. Whereas, the person who possesses little knowledge which they act upon and is always open to gaining more beneficial knowledge from anyone is a truly knowledgeable person.

PODEVENT: MAKING LIFE DIFFICULT
Tumblr media
The next great event which will be discussed in this blog series is mentioned in Chapter 2 Al Baqarah, verses 68-71:
“They said, "Call upon your Lord to make clear to us what it is…. "Now you have come with the truth." So they slaughtered her, but they could hardly do it.”
The nation of the Holy Prophet Mosa, peace be upon him, asked too many  unnecessary questions which only lead to more difficulties for them. Muslims should not adopt this mentality as people who have a habit of asking too many questions often fail in fulfilling their duties and acquiring beneficial knowledge as they are too busy asking and researching about less important and sometimes irrelevant information. This mentality can inspire one to argue and debate over these types of issues. Unfortunately, this attitude is quite widespread amongst muslims today as they often argue about non obligatory and less important issues instead of concentrating on fulfilling their obligatory duties and the established traditions of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, correctly meaning, fulfilling them with their full etiquettes and conditions.
A muslim should instead research and query about topics which are relevant and important to understand for both worldly and religious matters otherwise they will follow in the footsteps of the people mentioned in this great event and only make their own lives more difficult.

PODEVENT: THE HOLY PROPHET MOSA, PEACE BE UPON HIM, AND GRATITUDE
Tumblr media
The next great event which will be discussed in this blog series is mentioned in Chapter 2 Al Baqarah, verse 61:
“And [recall] when you said, "O Moses, we can never endure one [kind of] food. So call upon your Lord to bring forth for us from the earth its green herbs and its cucumbers and its garlic and its lentils and its onions." [Moses] said, "Would you exchange what is better for what is less? Go into [any] settlement and indeed, you will have what you have asked." And they were covered with humiliation and poverty and returned with anger from Allah [upon them]…”
A muslim should never fail to show appreciation and gratitude for what they have been given by Allah, the Exalted. Just like the people of the Holy Prophet Mosa, peace be upon him, many muslims today believe what they possess is inferior to what they desire to possess. As they were clearly wrong for desiring something else so are the muslims today. It is the tradition of Allah, the Exalted, to always choose the best for His servants and it is up to them to either increase their blessings through true gratitude or invite the punishment of Allah, the Exalted, by showing ingratitude. Muslims should remember they are extremely short sighted and do not understand the consequences of their desires whereas Allah, the Exalted, knows the details of all things including what is the best outcome for each decision. A muslim should remember the many times they believed something was good when it was actually bad and vice versa. Therefore, muslims should be patient with any choice Allah, the Exalted, makes. A muslim should also adopt the advice of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, found in Jami At Tirmidhi, number 2513, by observing those who possess less blessings than them instead of observing those who possess more. This will prevent one from becoming ungrateful.
True gratitude is shown through one's heart when one acknowledges that the blessing comes from Allah, the Exalted, through the tongue by praising Him and through actions by using them correctly according to the teachings of Islam. This will lead to an increase in blessings. Chapter 14 Ibrahim, verse 7:
“And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed, 'If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]…”

PODEVENT: THE HOLY PROPHET MOSA, PEACE BE UPON HIM, AND THE SEA
Tumblr media
The next great event which will be discussed in this blog series is mentioned in Chapter 26 Ash Shu’ara, verses 62-63:
“[Moses] said, "No! Indeed, with me is my Lord; He will guide me." Then We inspired to Moses, "Strike with your staff the sea," and it parted, and each portion was like a great towering mountain.”
The miracle of the Holy Prophet Mosa, peace be upon him, parting the red sea is very well known. This great event teaches muslims that whenever they encounter a difficult situation they should remain firm on the obedience of Allah, the Exalted, trusting that He will provide them a way out of it even if this seems impossible at the time just like He done for the Holy Prophet Mosa, peace be upon him, and his nation. Chapter 65 At Talaq, verse 2:
“…And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out.”
A muslim should understand that Allah, the Exalted, chooses the best for His servants even if the wisdom of a difficulty is not obvious. It is a person's reaction which either leads to blessings or the anger of Allah, the Exalted. One only needs to reflect on the countless examples in their own life where they believed something was bad only to change their mind later on and vice versa. This is just like when a person takes a bitter medicine prescribed to them by a doctor. Even though the medicine is bitter they still take it believing it will benefit them. It is strange how a muslim can trust a doctor whose knowledge is limited and who is not absolutely certain the bitter medicine will benefit them and fail to trust Allah, the Exalted, whose knowledge is infinite and when He only decrees the best for His servants.
A muslim should understand the difference between wishful thinking and trust in Allah, the Exalted. The person who does not obey Allah, the Exalted, and then expects Him to help them in difficulties is a wishful thinker. The one who will gain the help of Allah, the Exalted, which is indicated in this great event, is the one who sincerely strives in the obedience of Allah, the Exalted, and then trusts His judgment without complaining or questioning His choice.
