When The Boss Comes Knocking
the following is a CEO!Sakusa fic that landed somewhere between sfw and sorta nsfw, but its kiyoomi and he just makes my brain go buzz in every situation so i just couldn’t help it
Part 2
Summary: You dated Sakusa in high school but went your separate ways after graduation. Turns out he missed you much more than he let on.
Warnings: none, just kiyoomi being hot. use of “sweetheart” and “baby”
Sakusa Kiyoomi always has been and will always be the man of your dreams. Tall and broad shouldered, even in his high school years he was the pinnacle of your existence, and all you wanted was to be near him. Your wishes were granted for only a brief period of time when you finally dated in your junior year, but your Kiyoomi was ripped away from you when his family decided he needed to start preparing to take over the business.
The Sakusa Group was well known and respected for their acquisition of many successful start-ups, but details of their business dealings were always very secretive. And the company had only grown and expanded since Kiyoomi became CEO at just a mere 25 years old- not that you were stalking the Sakusa Group’s movements in your free time or anything.
When the two of you broke up he had encouraged you to “follow your own dreams”, and made sure to mention he would be extremely busy in the years after graduating high school. You had received the underlying message loud and clear. He wanted to be left alone and didn’t want a girl from a regular family ruining his image when he entered the executive world. Your heart was shattered, but that didn’t stop you from missing Kiyoomi dearly even years later. The hugs that completely enveloped your frame and the scent of his light cologne, the one he brought you to pick out for him on his birthday. The rasp of his deep voice and how its sound had burrowed into the back of your brain, the memories of random things he once said to you popping to the forefront of your mind haphazardly throughout your days.
You had done as he said, and moved to the city to become an author as you always dreamed. Actually, you were pretty successful in the romance industry and even though you only had a handful of books published, your fanbase was so dedicated and charismatic. In your single year of dating Kiyoomi you had amassed a lifetime’s worth of romantic material, and between your real life experiences with him and the melancholy fantasies that kept you up at night nowadays, you had lots of inspiration. Although, even you were prone to the classically dreaded writer’s block.
Today was just a regular Tuesday morning in the office, where you preferred to write when you were stuck in a rut. Unfortunately, the coffee mug on your desk was not bringing the inspiration that you wanted and you glared at the last sip, willing some piece of creativity to be hiding inside as you downed it. Nothing. Loosening a sigh, you dropped your head into your hands just as a knock rapped on the door. Without lifting your head you greeted the visitor, already knowing who was on the other side.
“Come in!”
“How’s it coming? Anything I can get you right now?” It was the sweet front desk girl, Josie, checking in on you. Again.
“Unless you can write in my place, there’s not much you can do for me i'm afraid” Josie meant well, but her insistent interruptions certainly were not helping your workflow, and this was the third time within 30 minutes she’s asked if you needed anything.
“Okie dokie, I’ll check back later then! Keep at it! ”
“Oh, you don’t have to-” She was off with a wave without hearing your response, the door slamming behind her. With another sigh, your head dropped back into your hands, frustration building.
Not 5 minutes later, there was another knock at the door. But this time the door opened before you could respond.
“Holy shit, Josie i’m really fine I swear- K-Kiyoomi???” You burst from your seat in surprise, your eyes all but popping out of your head.
And there he was, like a fever dream come to life, standing in the doorframe. His handsome face tilted to the side slightly, a smirk pulling across his lips.
“There you are, I’ve been looking for you” His voice had gotten deeper since the last time you spoke. His hair a little longer, his chest a bit stronger. But his eyes remained the same, that dark gaze enticing you and melting you down with just a look.
“W-what are you doing here? How did you-? What is this??”
As much as you wanted to cave and run straight into his arms, you vividly recalled your last conversation with Sakusa. Not Kiyoomi. He had corrected you so coldly before parting, saying “you should call me by last name from now on, otherwise people may get confused”. As if it would be bad if people mistakenly thought you were still dating. As if to push you that much further away. Your confusion only grew as you looked at him now, unsure of his motives for being here.
“Came to scope out a new prospect. I sent an executive to meet with your publishing house’s CEO last week” His smirk widened as he took deliberately slow steps into the room, sleek confidence dripping from him.
That's right, your boss had mentioned that your little publishing house had been recently approached by a huge parent company with an amazing offer, but as far as you knew nothing had been made official. And you certainly had no clue that said parent company was the Sakusa Group. The realization settled in, and the frustration you felt earlier was starting to bubble up again.
All of a sudden he was in your space, sleek black button-up shirt in your direct line of sight. What was his goal here? Certainly this has nothing to do with you? Right. Exactly. He claimed he was here for business. Then why..??
Long fingers gripped your chin, thumb tugging your bottom lip from between your teeth where you nervously chewed it.
“Where did you pick up this bad habit? And when are you planning on acknowledging me properly?” Your heart dropped to your stomach. His firm grip brought your face to look up at his, a little too close for comfort. Kiyoomi’s smirk tilted into a small frown, an admonishing look starting to grow.
“Of course sir, I apologize. Good morning Mr. Sakusa.” Backing out of his hold, you bowed in respect. Of course he was here for just business.
This only seemed to irritate him further though, and when you rose from your greeting he took another step closer. You may as well have been toe to toe now.
“Since when do you address me that way?” His eyes were too intense, and you could feel the memories of your past relationship coming up in your mind, emotion nearly overwhelming you before you swallowed it down.
“I’m not sure what you mean sir, it would be improper for me to address you otherwise”
If he was irritated before, then he was surely pissed off now.
His hands gripped your shoulders, roughly pushing you back against your desk before planting his palms on either side, caging you in.
“Why won’t you look at me, hm? It’s disrespectful to ignore your superior sweetheart” Shit. That voice had you in a vice grip and he knew it. He was using it to his advantage.
“I was unaware you would be my business superior until a minute ago, forgive me sir” How long will your legs hold up before melting completely?
“Seems like something is bothering you. You don’t like the idea of working with me? Or maybe you don’t like the idea of me being your boss? Sweetheart, I hope you realize I know you’ve been writing about me.”
“No! No thats not-!” Your head shot up in a rush to disagree, or maybe to explain. Either way, you immediately realized your mistake and you were silenced once more. The tip of your nose brushed his, and his breath brushed your lips in an intimate greeting, as if to say “hey, i missed you”.
His mock irritation melted away, the smirk returning once more. You fell into the trap too easily.
Most people knew Sakusa to be the cool and straightforward man he showed to the world, but when you dated in high school he quickly shattered this image. Though he certainly preferred to stay away from crowds and strangers, he was still human after all, and loved to be in your personal space whenever he got you alone. He had always enjoyed making you blush and stutter, thriving off the knowledge that he could affect you so deeply. Clearly, he still enjoyed that feeling.
But you were not a toy, and he was interrupting your work day. And how dare he just come back into your life after throwing you aside for so many years?! Absolutely not, you refused to be disrespected this way. Your hands came to his chest, giving him a solid (and completely ineffective) shove.
“No. This is not professional Mr. Sakusa-!”
Sakusa didn’t back up a single inch. Instead he gripped your face, long fingers pinching into your cheeks slightly. Your breath caught in your throat, previous arguments completely obliterated.
“Stop. Saying. No. Now answer me. Since when do you call me by my last name? You’re purposely not answering my question”
When you took a breath in you caught the scent of his cologne, and it was the same one you picked out for him in high school. He still wore it. Every single thought emptied out of your head, except for the recognition of how close he was to you, and where he was touching you.
“Say it.”
“K-Kiyoomi...”
“Say it like you mean it, baby.”
“Kiyoomi.” A smile broke out as his name fell from your mouth a second time.
“That’s my girl, just as pretty as ever. I missed you so bad sweetheart, I’ve been looking for you in the city for some time now. And don't worry, I’ll make up for lost time, so don’t push me away.”
His second hand came up to the back of your head, tugging you back by your hair and bringing your mouth to his. But he didn’t kiss you, he denied you the pleasure, only speaking against your lips. You let him do as he pleased, no longer able to deny how much you missed him. Missed this.
“Look at you with your hair so grown out now.”
“Do you like it?”
“I love everything about you.” He moved to plant a firm kiss to both of your cheeks, and to your disappointment he slowly released his hands from your face and hair.
“The Sakusa Group will officially be in ownership of your publisher by the end of the week. You’ll be seeing a lot more of me, so get used to it sweetheart.” He offered no further explanations or goodbyes, and he left your office with only your disheveled and flustered state to prove that he had really been there at all.
You made absolutely zero progress on your writing the rest of the morning and afternoon, but when you returned the next day ready for another day of failure, you opened the door to see your office transformed into a florist.
There were flowers on every single surface, completely covering your desk and the floor. There were roses of every shade, along with tulips, orchids, and other kinds of flowers you had never even seen before. Each bouquet was bursting with color and life, wrapped in silk ribbons and set in gorgeous porcelain vases that looked absolutely priceless. There was only a small path left open for you to walk to your desk seat, and on your keyboard was a note.
“A flower for every occasion I missed. And more just because.”
Your hand came up to your mouth, tears already welling up in your eyes. You looked to the bottom, and saw he signed the note,

a/n: this is such a cute request! i don’t think i’ve ever written for sakusa before (aside from lil blurbs) so i hope i did him justice! requesting rules

BOKUTO KŌTARŌ ➞ bo would grin so widely as he sees you running towards him at full speed! he would drop whatever he’s holding at the time (whether it’s his gym bag or his phone) to catch you in his arms and twirl you around. his booming laughter would vibrate against your chest as he hugs you tight, not wanting to let you go. he would snuggle his face into the crook of his neck, excitement obvious on his face the minute he saw you. when he finally releases you from his grasp, he would hold your face and beam at you, excitedly asking you if you’d seen how amazing he was today. and when you tell him he did great, he’ll pepper your face with a thousand kisses, not embarassed by PDA at the slightest.
MIYA ATSUMU ➞ atsumu basks in the attention you give him, and he’ll be completely aware of all the curious eyes looking at him. he’d give everyone a show, a charming grin plastered on his face as he catches you with little to no effort. but when you hold his face in his hands and whisper a quiet ‘i’m so proud of you’, he would drop his facade and a genuine smile would grace his lips instead. he would lean in closer until your lips touches his, and the two of you would share a tender kiss—in front of all his teammates. even though he doesn’t mind PDA at all, the setter would sport a cute blush on his face as he sets you back on your feet, a little bit embarrassed all of a sudden.
SAKUSA KIYOOMI ➞ sakusa usually isn’t very fond of PDA, but he’s still running on adrenaline from his win today, so he would catch you with open arms, a handsome smile on his face. even you were kind of taken aback by this, not really expecting to get such a response. when you pull away from the embrace, he sets you back down on the floor and presses a soft kiss on your forehead, smile still present on his lips. he’d ask you what you thought about the match today, and he would tell you to wait for a moment as he gathered his things, wanting to do nothing but laze around with you in your apartment all day and order some delicious food for dinner.
HINATA SHŌYŌ ➞ hinata would be so giddy when he sees you running towards him—he’d have a huge smile on his face, eyes turning into little crescents. he’d catch you in his arms with ease, holding you by the back of your thighs to support your weight. hinata would still be so full of energy, no matter how grueling the match was, so he would tell you all about the different tactics and cool moves he implemented during the game, all while still holding you in his arms. your weight does not matter to him (i mean, look at his arms post-brazil), he probably could carry you all the way home if you want him to. his bright smile seem to never leave his face once he saw you, as if you’re his source of energy and you’re all he needs to get rid of his fatigue.

MSBY boys react to you hugging a pillow in your sleep
Hinata
he’ll find you passed out on the bed, the plushie he gifted you laying flush against your chest
seeing you all cute adorable with the plushie absolutely gives him a serotonin boost, and might’ve waken up his overworked body
once he’s prepped for bed he’ll gently spoon you from behind, inhaling the soft, sweet scents on your shoulder
the movement stirs you awake slightly, and you mumble a weak call to your partner
“sho..?”
he nudges his face even closer to you, his warm breath fanning you
“y/n...you’re so cute”
Bokuto
he’s PUTTY the moment he sees your sleeping figure clutching a pillow
he eagerly showers and makes himself clean before getting to bed
(a rule you made because poor bby gets too excited to greet you and sometimes forgets about his sweaty body)
he’ll hover on top of you, pressing kisses onto the side of your face to get your attention
“hmm bo? you’re finally here”
“yeah- y/n, do you mind if i move the pillow?”
absolute best boy yes i have a bias
after hearing your hum of approval, he’ll move the pillow away so he can replace the space with his warmth instead
Atsumu
atsumu is greeted by your sleeping figure on top of the couch
he doesn’t like it when you try to stay up for him, but he appreciates it. the sight is endearing, he thinks
of course he will tease you about it the next morning
he’s quite tired from a long day of practice, so he skips the shower and uses a damp towel instead
when he’s finished he’ll stride over to you, blanket in hand
he’ll gently caress your cheeks to wake you from your slumber
“...tsumu?”
“you been waiting for me all this time? good girl. but, we’re gonna take this pillow away and let me lay here instead okay?”
he’ll squeeze in, draping the blanket over the two of you
like many nights, atsumu likes to hover his lips over your ear and talk about anything with his sweet, silky voice
Sakusa
yearning for sakusa’s touch is definitely a common feeling, so you try to satiate it by hugging a pillow flush against your body as if it was your beloved, eventually falling asleep
sakusa (after having showered and cleaned) will find you in that very position. he sees the way you hold onto it tightly— he knows you’ve been neglected of affection and he feels guilty for it
he’s not exactly ready to confront this problem since your relationship is still new, but he will do one thing
sakusa will nudge the pillow out of your grasp slowly, making sure not to wake you in the process
he’ll place himself in your arms instead, immediately brushing his fingers against your cheeks. he looks at you fondly, though it seems that expression is only reserved for you asleep
the last thing he says for the day is, “i love you, y/n”
he will NOT admit what happened the next morning, and insists that you were the one that cuddled him instead

OKAY BUT WAIT BC I HAVE SUCH A CUTE HC FOR SAKUATSU
I feel like sakusa thinks atsumu is pretty, but like not just pretty, like flat out stunning
I always see these hc's where atsumu is the one breathless bc of sakusa's beauty
but what if sakusa is the one breathless because of atsumu
like like listen I'll explain
so when sakusa first met atsumu it was at the inter-high when they faced each other right? and then the all-japan training camp
but yk atsumu had the yellow hair so that wasn't that attractive but overall he was kind of cute.
so ofc atsumu being the antagonizing little shit he is, provoked sakusa and sakusa was like 'yeah no fuck you. you're not cute enough to have an attitude that annoying'
so sakusa kind of like got over the tiny crush he had
BUT THEN they meet again when they go to msby
and sakusa realizes that atsumu has changed, like yeah he's still a little shit but he's pretty now.
he toned his hair so it actually looks blonde instead of piss yellow and he toned up
which okay yeah atsumu is fucking hot and sakusa had to admit that
but what struck sakusa right in the heart, what made sakusa think that atsumu is fucking stunning
is when atsumu smiles. but not one of those fake ones, like his real genuine smile he gives when he's happy.
the first time he saw it was at one of their first practices where atsumu had been annoying him with the stupid nickname he had given him.
"oh, omi-kunnnnn~~~"
"don't call me that, miya."
anyways, atsumu had asked sakusa about something he completely forgot about
and when sakusa had given his usual deadpan response, he offered a tiny smile
atsumu's eyes widened bro. like this guy was shook at sakusa smiling even a little.
but he was down bad and that made him happy as fuck because sakusa hadn't smiled at anyone else so far which means he was first
he hoped he would be the only (even if that was a little selfish because no one should be deprived of omi's little smiles which could make cloudy day look sunny again)
so atsumu smiled back, but like a true, happy smile
and sakusa's heart stopped. like he literally felt it skip a beat.
that smile was beautiful and on atsumu's face it really was breathtaking
and that's when sakusa realized he was in love with atsumu
obviously atsumu took a little more time because he's a little bit of a dumbass when it comes to relationships
anyways at the moment sakusa literally thought atsumu was gorgeous
and then atsumu said something stupid and the moment was gone
but sakusa realized that, while yes everybody always called him pretty, his 'beauty' was nothing compared to that of atsumu's. (at least in his opinion)
so sakusa tries to move on from atsumu bc he's convinced that atsumu doesn't feel the same (which he does but bby tsumu is just a little slow)
anyways it really hits atsumu that he's in love with sakusa when, surprisingly, sakusa finally agrees to go to the club with him, bokuto, and hinata.
there sakusa proceeds to get hit on by like every fucking person in the vicinity.
like atsumu knows he's gorgeous okay? he'd be blind not to notice, but why does everybody else have to notice toooooo
he kept his cool until the sixth person came up to hit on sakusa
then in which he went up to sakusa's side and slowly put his arm around his waist, giving him time to pull away if he wants to
sakusa raised an eyebrow at that, but leaned into him anyways.
'sorry, dude. omi-kun right here's taken. by me. so scram' and the scariest glare that's ever been on his face
the guy pales and nods, apologizing and scurrying away with his tail between his legs.
'since when are we dating, miya?' *eyebrow raise*
'since right now because I'm in love with you and seeing every guy fucking hitting on you is driving me fucking crazy.'
sakusa blushes. SO HARD. like he looks like a tomato.
but then he smiles, even if atsumu can't see it bc of the mask, he still knows
bc omi's eyes are crinkling at the corners and hE LOOKS SO FUCKING CUTE
honestly at that point atsumu gives up on any hope of continuing to deny it because he's so fucking gone.
'im in love with you too, you idiot.'
atsumu smiles that smile that makes sakusa's heart stop.
'can I kiss you?' 'yes dumbass'
atsumu pulls down sakusa's mask then leans in slowly, taking his time to savor the look on omi's face
when their lips finally meet, it felt like their entire universe aligned perfectly.
to atsumu, omi felt like the earth.
like his head was in the clouds so long and omi finally brought him back down to the ground.
to sakusa, atsumu felt like every damn galaxy. scary and unknown, but so fucking beautiful.
he had always been on the ground, but atsumu brought him up to space
"you're so down to earth and im up in the stars. so show me the sea and ill show you mars." (idk I really like this quote for them)
they forgot they were with two other people until bokuto cleared his throat really loudly
they pulled away from each other to see hinata and bokuto smiling.
'finally. only took you guys like forever' bokuto said and hinata nodded in agreement
atsumu scoffed, 'you sure you can talk, bo? you pined after akaashi for 5 years before you finally confessed. and you, hinata, pined after goody-two-shoes for 4. at least it only took me a year.'
'whatever, tsumtsum. its a shock it even took you a year. it was so obvious you were in love with each other.'
'go back to dancing' and with that the convo was over & atsumu turned to face sakusa again
he had an amused look on his face.
atsumu smiled softly and sakusa blushed, but smiled back.
'lets get out of here, omi-omi. I wanna cuddle'
sakusa glared at the last few words, but nodded his head anyways.
'I love you'
'surprisingly, I love you too'
'now that's just mean, omi-omi.'
but sakusa had a smile on his face and his hand was held by atsumu's while they went to sakusa's apartment.
they still had some things to talk about regarding the relationship, but that could always wait until tomorrow.
I mean honestly, with how gorgeous atsumu is, how could anyone have expected sakusa not to fall in love with him?
and with how cute omi is, how could anyone have expected atsumu not to try and keep him for himself?

Kageyama and Bokuto taking their kids to practice headcanons !
request: hihi i was wondering if you can do a continuation of the bringing their kids to practice with some of the other haikyuu characters? i’d love to see it with kageyama especially but honestly you can pick anyone! thank you :)
a/n: i AM SO SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG... I have no excuses, i was too sad about haikyuu e wording but i have read threads on how to write characters on twitter and i am thriving... so n e ways i was looking for a reason to write more of these because i just... love the idea of this so tsym for requesting!! if i write more parts, i might do hoshiumi, hinata, atsumu, and... maybe oikawa? i’m a huge bokuto stan so his might be longer than kageyamas im sorry <3 and and ik that kageyama goes to italy but for the sake of i want to write other characters, i will be using the adlers oops. i will also be only doing probably two characters per post for these because i write so much for it. LMAO ALSO these are super unrealistic this would NOT be allowed during pro sports practices but for the sake of entertainment, let’s just... do it

He had been wanting to bring Kaori to practice for a while but each time he tried to, you would be like no bitch </3

When you told him that you had to go into work and couldn’t schedule the nanny in time, he was like “I’LL TAKE CARE OF HER!!!”
Honestly you were only against him taking her because you were still mad at him for leaving her in the high chair for a while and you came home to her crying and him just knocked out

He had brought Kaori into post game interviews before but you were always there so this would really be the first time he’d take care of her by himself for a period of time longer than an hour
He’s a good parent dw !! he had just spent the whole night thinking about the most random shit and he ended up sleeping like three hours
He was thinking about horses cause Ushijima brought them up in an interview >:0
You were still mad tho
It had been a while and he had actually shown to you that he could take care of her by himself so you were fine with him taking her to practice
He was super pumped and was practically shaking in excitement (he was texting Akaashi the whole morning asdlfjskdf)
Bokuto-san

He also texts the whole group chat and Hinata’s equally as excited
Kaori and Hinata were best friends !!!! She literally loved him
Like he would put her on his shoulders and they’d run around for hours
How he has so much energy goes beyond everyone but it’s fun to watch
You lectured him for half an hour about what he should do in certain situations and unlike most times, he listened really well because :(( the baby cares about Kaori
Both Kaori and him actually walked with you to the train station and saw you off before heading to practice !!
He normally drives to practice because he has a super nice car and it’s easier to drive with Kaori instead of public transportation
When they get to the gym, he goes running in with Kaori on his shoulders
“WE HAVE ARRIVEEEED!!!!!!!!”
cue Hinata cheering super loudly
Kaori’s giggling and being all cute omg i love her
She was being carried in on her dad’s shoulders so Bo lets her down and she immediately runs (read: waddles quickly) to Hinata
“Hinata-nii!!!!”
Hinata starts crying-- jk, no
He goes “Kaori-chan!” and scoops her up in his beefy arms

i feel like hinata would be down for one of the really fruity flavors, like watermelon or mango sunrise. forgets it at home or in your car a lot so you always buy him extra.

kags is def giving me the classic strawberry or cherry vibe, like the one that ALL stores sell. they’re the easiest to find and he likes the flavors.
daichi
ok i feel like daichi would use the peppermint flavor a lot, but i can also seeing him use the cinnamon flavor every now and then too, spice things up a little.
sugawara
i can see suga using some of the sweeter flavors, like strawberry as a daily chapstick and maybe sugar cookie when he wants to switch things up.

mans got the whole berry pack. uses them pretty frequently throughout the day, has a different flavor in different places. like one in his school bag, one in his gym locker, one at home, etc.

this time you got to sit pretty close to the court since the coaches knew you wouldn’t disturb them too much
bokuto and hinata were practicing their spikes with atsumu, the sound of volleyballs hitting the floor being the only thing you are aware of as you type away on your phone
it is nearing time for practice to be over anyways

“Always Yours, Kiyoomi”
The note had sat on your desk for 3 days, staring you down with the heat of hell tucked into the ink scratched on the paper. It was Friday, the day the Sakusa Group was to officially purchase the small publishing house you wrote for, but the man himself had yet to show up since your last encounter.
3 painfully slow days of no contact or sign of Sakusa had felt like 3 years, and you couldn’t help but feel angry. Angry that he thought he could come back into your life at his own convenience, with no explanation of his leaving for so long. Upset that you wanted him to come back. Pissed at yourself for letting him treat you like this.
The back and forth in your own brain was clouded by the memories of him, one hand on your throat and one in your hair, pulling you in. The look of satisfaction on his face when you finally called him by his first name again. The sweet bliss of his deep voice directed at you. It was inescapable even on your morning commute to work.
Opening the door to the lobby, you greeted Josie as always.
“Morning Josie”
“Oh good morning! There was a message left for you, actually. Mr. Sakusa’s secretary called and mentioned setting up a lunch meeting today around 1 pm.”
Surprise and irritation shot through the fog in your brain. He couldn’t even call you himself?? His behavior was getting ridiculous, and at this point you were going to completely miss the next 4 deadlines for the book you were working on if this distraction kept up.
“What?! Don’t respond please, I’ll just eat lunch here like usual” A guilty blush immediately spread across her face and you just dreaded whatever she was about to say.

“What??? Josie NO!” Complete horror washed across you like an ice bath, and you immediately realized that you were not dressed for a CEO level lunch date.
“I’m sorry to spring it on you like this. But hey, at least he’s sending a car to bring you, right?” She finished her sentence with a bright smile, totally not understanding why this was the absolute worst thing in the world.
You gave her a fake laugh and a smile, trying not to be too mean to her in your mind before heading straight into your office and slumping into the seat.
“Always Yours, Kiyoomi”
The note stared back at you, and you narrowed your eyes at his name. Fuck. Off. Sakusa. If he wanted to play this game, you certainly weren’t going to make it easy on him.
You had no time to let the regrets from your last encounter stew when time was not on your side today. Stealing your nerves, you got to thinking of all the things you’ve been wanting to say to him, all the things you’ve been dying to ask. But time raced against you, and when Josie knocked on your office door it felt as though no time had passed at all. You were still just as nervous as before, but an unfamiliar man in a suit followed behind Josie, ready to take you to your demise- a.k.a the Sakusa Group headquarters.
It was 45 steps from your office to the car, 30 minutes in the car between offices, and now only 10 steps from the car into the massive lobby of the tower where the beast resided. Someone greeted you straight away, and escorted you all the way to Sakusa’s door.
Shit. Shitshitshitshit. Your mind and heart were racing, but you took in a deep breath and reminded yourself to resist his efforts to win you over. Yea right, resist the irresistible. Great plan.
The door opened, and there he was. Goddamn this was going to be more difficult than you thought.
Sakusa’s deep voice rang out, smooth and rich like dark chocolate. His usual black button down and slacks made him the picture of all your work romance fantasies- not that you were thinking of anything like that. Certainly not.
“Thank you George, you may go.” Your escort bowed in respect, and closed the door on his way out. Sakusa said nothing, just smirked as he stood and walked toward the door, and locked it.
You stood frozen, feeling the heat of his chest warming your back. A large hand brushed your hair away from your face on one side, exposing your neck as Sakusa planted a soft kiss beneath the corner of your jaw, letting his breath tickle over your skin. You could just feel the smirk widening across his face. But as much as your knees were already growing weak, your anger refused to be forgotten this time.
Your figure’s sharp turn cut his growing smile off into a small frown, those dark brows furrowing slightly.
“Stop that. You owe me an explanation and I won’t let you near me until I get it.” Your voice was shaky, but you got your words out clearly.
Sakusa just closed the space between you again, towering over you with slight irritation on his face. This was obviously not how he expected this meeting to go.
“What is with these horrible greetings each time we meet? I’ll teach you this lesson as many times as I need to-”
“YOU were the one who told me not to call you Kiyoomi all those years ago, so don’t gimme that bullshit!! You don’t get to break up with me, be a total dick during our last conversation, disappear with no contact then return into my life like nothing happened years later! There is absolutely no way I can accept anything you offer me when you have completely shattered the very foundation of our relationship, Sakusa!”
The pent up energy, anxiety and ire that had slowly been collecting in your heart and mind this week was at its boiling point, finally spilling over as angry tears gathered in your eyes, your finger jabbing into his chest.
His demeanor changed entirely as he listened to your rant, and a serious look crept over his face, but he made no move to interrupt you. Even now, when you were so worked up that you couldn’t see straight, you couldn’t decide if you wanted to push him away or wanted to cry into his arms. He let you finish before speaking.
“So this is how you’ve been feeling. Come here, sweetheart.”
Simple acknowledgement was all it took for your tears to fall, and strong arms gave you comfort as he tucked your head beneath his chin. His fingers stroked your hair, and that damn cologne filled your senses as you tried to contain your emotions.
He brought his palms to your cheeks, thumbs brushing away the salty tears beneath your eyes as his gaze softened into something you’ve missed so desperately since high school. His tone was serious but gentle as he spoke his next words.
“I know you’re angry, yes?” You nodded aggressively, refusing to meet his eyes.
“I hear you. I want you to look at me sweetheart, tell me how I can make it up to you. What can I do to fix this?”
“I don’t know if this can be fixed Sakusa, I thought you just walked off and forgot about me after high school and I-”
“You couldn’t be more wrong.”
“If I’m wrong then prove it! Some explanation, anything is better than the nothing you left me with!”
Sakusa let out a heavy sign before pushing his hands into the roots of your hair, and kissing your forehead. He took your hand, fingers intertwined with yours as you swiped at the last of your tears.
“It doesn’t excuse the way that I’ve treated you, and I sure as fuck am not proud of it but I can give you an explanation. Let’s sit while we talk, yeah?”
You followed him into a connecting room, a dining room of sorts, complete with cushioned seats and a glass coffee table. Sakusa settled in a seat next to yours and turned to set his serious gaze on you, so you might understand his sincerity.
His chest expanded as he took a deep breath, and released it slow.
“My family has always been demanding, and I knew their wish for me was to take over the Sakusa Group as early as possible. But I was young and dumb, and I didn’t have the confidence that I could actually do it. I know it’s no excuse for leaving you like that, but I was scared to fail. Disappointing you was something I couldn’t handle, and I wanted to prove to myself that I could become someone worthy of taking care of you one day. So I made sure to cut ties and cut them sharp so that if I did fail, you would hopefully never find out.”
This… this was not what you expected. Had he always been so concerned with your judgment of him? Why did he not let you support him? You had every confidence in your Kiyoomi back then, and you had always tried your best to show that, so why..? Did you not tell him enough? How could you ever possibly be disappointed in him?
“I didn’t forget what I said to you back then. I’m sorry I was so selfish, sweetheart.”
Tears threatened to spill over again, and you pressed the heels of your palms into your eyes. There was a soft shuffling sound and the scraping of a chair across the hardwood, and when Sakusa tugged your wrists from your face he was kneeling before you. Still tall enough on his knees to be nearly eye level with you.
“Don’t cry baby, look at me.” His fingers tucked beneath your chin, raising your head slightly.
“Tell me what I wanna hear. Come on love” You knew what he wanted immediately.
“Kiyoomi” Your voice was just above a whisper, but enough understanding was translated in that one word. Not quite forgiveness, but understanding.
This had always been a thing between you two, even in high school. When first names were used after an argument, you could both recognize that things were back on the right path. So it wasn’t quite forgiveness, but it was a step.
“Again.” But he was still just as greedy as ever. Gripping your chin a bit tighter, he brought his face right up to your neck and softly nipped at the skin on your jaw, tongue laving over the skin to sooth it.
“Kiyoomi”
“That’s my girl. Now, how should I make it up to you, hm?” His hands gripped your thighs just above your knees, squeezing into the flesh.
The tone of his voice switched, dripping with honey and saturating your mind with memories of twisted sheets and bated breaths.
“I think I know just where to start” Shit, that voice. You were sure it would be the death of you one day, but right now, it was your lifeline.
One of his thumbs hooked under the hem of your dress, baring one thigh ever so slowly, as his other hand guided your fingers into his hair. His gaze held yours as he began to kiss and bite a trail upwards following the exposed skin.

But you could hardly claim any credit when your inspiration for those scenes came from Kiyoomi. Warning: nothing, just rlly fkn cute
Summary: In which these HQ men become Dog Dads with you! (Includes photo of dog breed, gender, and name + hc)
SAKUSA:
- female, Berger Blanc Suisse, “Cleo”
- the type of guy who says “we are never getting a dog” with a look of intense stubbornness, only for you to get one anyways because he can’t tell you no
- now Sakusa and Cleo have a morning routine together that is never broken and you’re pretty sure Cleo likes Sakusa more than you (she’s a daddy’s girl)
- they wake up, go on their 6 am run together, then after a shower/ short nap, Sakusa makes breakfast and coffee
- you wake to find Cleo sitting at Sakusa’s feet as he eats breakfast and reads some early news headlines
- you often find him holding entire conversations with Cleo as he does chores around the house
Sakusa: *turns vacuum off and turns to face Cleo sitting on her bed; “Cleo, you and Hoshiumi almost have matching hair”
Cleo: *tilts head and wines*
Sakusa: “Oh but don’t worry you’re way smarter than he is” and continues to vacuum the living room
- When the three of you go out together on the weekends your little group looks so sophisticated, with black masks, long trench coats and a well trained wolf-dog by your sides
- Sakusa holds Cleo and waits on the sidewalk as you run in to Starbucks and grab your mobile order. Presses a kiss to your forehead through his mask when you get back, and Cleo’s tail wags rapidly to greet you (even though you only left for a minute)
- the two of them are like your personal heaters during movie nights, Sakusa’s large frame dwarfing you as he tugs you closer under his arm and Cleo’s head in your lap as Sakusa watches his two favorite girls fall asleep half way through the film
USHIJIMA:
- originally, Ushijima was worried about you being lonely when he had to be away from home for games and practices. that’s how you got your first dog, a female Border Collie named Harley!
- but then you were worried about Harley being lonely when you traveled with Ushijima to some of his away games, so you got a puppy to keep her company; a male Great Pyrenees named Bear! (you said he reminded you of a polar bear cub and Toshi melted so that’s his name)
- one summer, Ushijima was driving back from a beach day with you asleep in the passenger seat, Harley and Bear strewn across the back seats, a smile breaking across his face as he looks over at you
- then, out of the corner of his eye he spots something on the side of the road and pulls over immediately. The two of you are shocked to find an abandoned puppy left alone in a cardboard box, a note taped to the side that said the dog wasn’t being fed or well cared for in their old household.
- That’s how, all of a sudden, Ushijima finds himself with three dogs, the third being the rescued male Vizsla puppy, Ronan! And he wouldn’t change it for the world
- the dogs are like your children, he brings them everywhere and loves the atmosphere of a full household with you.
- ushijima makes dinner for the dogs each week, bowls of white chicken, bacon bits, chopped carrots and greens. he takes the health of the dogs very seriously, and soon that starts to translate to you as well (ushijima starts making you drink green smoothies with him before practice)
- when toshi returns from a long time away for volleyball, he’ll fall asleep on the couch with his head in your lap, Ronan and Harley squished on his chest and stomach as Bear tries to make a space for himself as close to you as he can
- ushijima treasures the home life he’s created with you, and his social media feeds are flooded with candid photos of you and your dogs on hikes, at the lake, and just lounging around at home
ATSUMU:
- male, Moscow Water Dog, Casper
- Atsumu always wanted a dog, but from the first moment he brought Casper home it was clear that Casper’s favorite was you (he’s offended but eventually grows to find it cute)
- Casper and Tsumu are like little cousins, they follow you around the apartment in hopes of getting some extra affection out of you (you’re pretty sure Atsumu is competing with Casper to see who can make the best puppy dog eyes at you)
- your work schedule doesn’t line up well with Atsumu’s, as he’s often busy in the mornings with practices and your often busy at night as a manager at an upscale restaurant down town
- but there’s always someone to keep Casper company, and the three of you spend the mid day time together as often as you can
- Atsumu sits on the bed with Casper, watching you through the vanity mirror as you do your makeup for your shift at work (Casper pawed at your leg for a few moments, until he realized you were preoccupied with other things and decided to settle for attention from Tsumu)
Atsumu: “Ya sure ya can’t take tonight off? It’s a Thursday night they won’t be understaffed without ya”
You: “Tsumu, baby, i’m the bar manager. I really do have to go in or nobody gets their cut on time”
- He pouts as Casper lets out an anxious wine, the two of them feeding off of the dramatics of the other
- you come home late into the night, only to find Atsumu cuddled up with Casper in the middle of the bed (they get lonely without you)
- your boyfriend is still sound asleep but Casper pops his head up to give your face a few goodnight kisses before settling in until the morning
OSAMU:
- 2 dogs, a pair of female and male Keeshond siblings, named Lilo and Stich (after Osamu’s favorite childhood movie !)
- Osamu brings the dogs in to work on weekdays sometimes, and they hang in their beds behind the hostess station, keeping Osamu’s employees company throughout their shifts
- at home, Lilo tends to hang out with you and Stich tends to stick to Osamu, but when the dogs smell Osamu working in the kitchen, they never make themselves scarce
- you sat at the counter with Lilo in your lap and Stich in the seat beside you, all three of you watching as Osamu worked on perfecting some new onigiri flavors and recipes that he’d recently developed
Osamu: “you guys look like judges lined up for a professional cookin’ show. yer freakin’ me out a bit”
You: “well why don’t we taste test for you then”
Osamu: “I knew ya were gonna ask me that... dogs get first taste” offering you his signature smirk as he turns back to his cutting board, leaving you to roll your eyes at his back
- the Onigiri Miya regulars know Lilo and Stich by name, and they leave online reviews about how cute the owner’s dogs are on Yelp! (the dogs get extra excited when Atsumu brings Bokuto and Hinata in for a meal)
- Osamu is secretly really soft for his dogs, but he only lets you see it on occasion when you catch him cooing at Lilo and Stich as they roll over for tummy rubs when Samu comes home from night time shifts at the shop
- plays it cool when you do catch him (bc it happens more often than he’s willing to admit)
Osamu: “babe, ya want a tummy rub too?”

a/n: this is literally just headcanons on how some of the guys would react to being stuck at home during quarantine lmao (MANGA SPOILERS) also some of these are shorter than the others because i am... lazy ! i’ll try to post more headcanons with different characters for this soon but this has been sitting in my drafts for a while so i wanted to post it

Bokuto Koutarou
Oh my god this literal CHILD would be a pain in the ass in the beginning
The season had been cancelled due to Miss Rona and he was completely heartbroken
He wasn’t even allowed to go to the gym or even the courts to practice !!
You two didn’t live together yet (you two had been looking at apartments but couldn’t find one that suited either of you at the same time, but your apartment was probably big enough to fit the two of you already) but the minute that quarantine was set in place he literally showed up at your door with his belongings
Surprise! you got yourself a roommate now because he can’t stand being by himself in his lonesome apartment
LETS PRETEND HE PROBABLY DOESN’T HAVE A HUGE PENTHOUSE BECAUSE HE’S A RICHASS VOLLEYBALL PLAYER ITS CUTER IF HE’S LIVING WITH YOU
