#bart sees wallys side of it for once
I've been thinking about this and I think that Judy Garrick could be the perfect parallel for Bart.
Picture this, a young preteen Judy Garrick shows up in the modern era. She's brash, she's inexperienced, she's uninhibited. She's just a kid trying to fit in and figure it all out and trying to have fun along the way.
And then you have Bart. He's older, he's wiser. He isn't the kid he used to be. He's grown in so many ways. He's entering young adulthood. He's trying so hard to forge his own path in life while balancing the family legacy. He desperately wants respect but not at the cost of having fun.
Suddenly, Bart's faced with a time displaced little kid. A time displaced little kid, who insists she isn't a kid, with the last name of his mentor. Bart's face to face with a walking reminder of everything he worked so hard to grow past and he's trying so hard to keep this kid alive out of respect for Jay but there's also some resentment there that Judy is Jay's real family. Not Bart.
Judy of course wants nothing to do with Bart. Who is this guy trying to tell her not to jump on power lines? Why did Jay say that she had to listen to him? It's so unfair. All he ever does is tell her to stay behind him. She knows how to fight, thank you very much.
The parallels. You gotta think about the parallels.
(*also to preemptively combat this, no I'm not ignoring Max but we can acknowledge Bart's father-son relationship with Jay without discrediting his father-son relationship with Max. Bart has two dads.)

Punk Hazard
Now to put this into a story.
Part 2 Here
It was a normal day in Central City. The Flashes were fighting the latest team-up between Killer Frost and Captain Cold. So of course it was snowing in July now and traffic was stalled due to ìce attacks making the roads impassable. But the heroes had the villains on the ropes. Then a fresh wave of ice and cold came out of nowhere, covering everything and everyone in frost. Dropping the temperature further as the crunching of boots on ice drew everyone's attention. Dressed in distressed black leather pants with frosted chains, a black crop top with a deep v-neck lined with blue, and plenty of ice chains to rattle as he walked was a teen near Impulse's age with pale blue skin, elfin features, and long black hair streaked with white and blue. Blue lips pulled into a deadly smirk as the air started to thrum with vibrations and the beat of crackling ice, "Time to drop the beat down."
Unfortunately for the heroes, they were not familiar with this villain's move set or powers. And it seemed they had made a mistake in assuming that his powers were similar to the other two ice villains. Only to be thrown for a loop when they missed a beat and started to freeze. And the music was only getting faster and with it came faster ice attacks.
Later, Barry groaned as his team worked to get him, Wally, and Bart out of their ice prisons. The three of them were shivering and turning blue from how cold their core temps had dropped. Looked like they would be hitting the showers on max heat once thawed out.
"What in the world was that?" Wally groaned once he was finally freed, while Barry rubbed his hands together to get feeling back, "I don't know but we better get investigating to figure out how to fight this new guy."
"Yeah, I don't fancy being a Flash-cicle just because I can't keep the beat," Wally grumbled, "Dick is going to make me play sooo much Just Dance once he hears about our new villain."
"You noticed it too?" Bart shivered, taking his mind away from the fact that the new villain was around his age and rather interesting to look at. Something he hadn't noticed before on others. he shook his head, no he needed to focus, "We had to follow the beat of the music or we started to freeze up. It was pretty easy to do until he started to ramp up the difficulty. Also...He has to follow the beat as well."
Barry groaned softly as he wrapped the blanket handed to him around his shoulders, "Wally is right, we are going to have to start ramping up our Just Dance scores...Hal is going to laugh himself sick."
All three groaned realizing their respective teams were going to be insufferable.
---
"You are pretty badass, kid," Killer Frost smirked once they got away from the heroes, "What even are your powers?" "A cross between music manipulation and Ice control," He shrugged, "I've been calling it Cryo Symphony." "Got a name?" Captain Cold grunted looking over the little punk, though little probably only applied to age given the kid was nearly his height and in that awkward stage between Twink and Tank.
"I was thinking Punk Frost-" "Yeah no, I got Frost already covered and I'm not looking for a side kick," Killer Frost hissed at him, making the kid raise his hands in surrender, "Okay, how about Punk Hazard? After all, I am a punk and my powers are hazardous to other's health if they can't keep the beat." "Sounds good kid, now you got a place to stay?" Snart asked, tone gruff but concerned. He never liked seeing kids turn to the villain life, didn't really like kiddie heroes but at least they had more support then kiddie villains did.
"Ummm not really?" Danny shrugged, "Probably the bridge I've been sleeping under."
Even Frost looked concerned at that, causing Snart to sigh, "Yeah no, I got a safe house you can crash at. Come on, you look like you haven't eaten in days." Danny blinked in confusion, "Huh?" Making Frost snicker, "Sorry, kid looks like you've been adopted."

Ohhh how would the speedster family (DC) react if the child reader who also fast as them , rapidly aged up? I’m talking about adult age or teenager ? Got this idea after watching justice league crises on to earths
I love this idea! Especially if the darling only rapidly ages/continues to rapidly age if they exert themselves by over stepping the boundaries of their own capabilities.
Barry would be a little freaked out about it. As long as it’s a one time thing though he’ll be fine but if this is something that happens due to their darling’s speed than they’ll have to put a stop to them utilizing it or at the very least put some restrictions on them. If this is in the case that their darling only ages up when they enter themself than Barry would be very adamant after the first time it happens that his darling be very mindful of how far they push themself. He fears losing them in general but this would escalate his fear more than ever. Hell, he’s barely tolerating them being a hero along side him, Wally and Bart but he knew they would have done so on their own if he hadn’t allowed it. At least this way he can keep a close watchful eye on them. But this new development would have Barry on edge, especially if this is something at happens more than once. He wouldn’t want his bby taking on too much, he may even have them handle the smaller criminals/villains just so they won’t have to use too much of their power and end up aging themself even more than they already have.
At first, Wally would be shocked to see his younger sibling is now the same age as him or even older than him. He may even find it kind of cool but seeing Barry’s worried reaction would be enough to get Wally to take it more seriously. It would take some getting use to for Wally but it wouldn’t be too much of a big deal. In lessthe darling is taller than him or something like that. In the case that their darling only ages up when they overuse their power, Barry would especially count on Wally to keep an eye on their darling when he can’t. He would trust Wally to not let their darling over exert themself into aging more than they already have. Barry, Wally, and Bart wouldn’t allow their darling to use their speed more than necessary. Show off? Not allowed. The remote is just a little too far out of reach? Then either one of them will get it or their darling’s gonna have to walk to get it. Alien invasion and the world is in peril? Okay, you can use a little bit of speed but don’t go crazy with it. Or maybe you should just stay with Iris?
Bart would think it was so cool that their darling aged up. He’d be pretty bummed that they’re now older and or taller than him but he still thinks it’s neat. He may even hope that he’ll end up aging up too if he runs fast enough. When it first happens, Bart would be running circles around the darling asking them question after question. How did they do it? Why did they do it! Did they not like being closer to or the same age as him? Why’d they have to leave him behind like that? Could they teach him how to do that? Bart would just be a ball of curious energy and maybe a little silky but only for a bit. In the case that the darling rapidly ages if they push themself too much, Bart would be very concerned about his sibling. Like the first time was cool and all but if it keeps happening then that mmm when the worry really sets in. He’ll help bower he can, keeping his eye on them too and even staying glued to their side the most out of the family. He’d beg and plead their darling not to over do it out of fear of them eventual aging too much and turning into dust or something like that and losing them altogether.
Iris would be similar to Barry and worry about their bby having aged up rapidly as they have. When she first sees them afterwards she’s taken aback at how her little bby is now a whole grown teenager or even a whole ass adult. She’s at a loss for words, it would take awhile before she can fully process what she’s greeted with. Similar to Wally it would take her awhile to get use to her now older and taller bby but she eventually will. If anything, Iris has the hardest time coming to terms with it. She can’t even say that they grew before her eyes cause they didn’t. As far as she sees it they may as well have come back an entire different person but she knows they’re still her bby no matter how much bigger or older they are now. In the case that they continue to age rapidly due to overusing their powers, Iris would want them to hang up their suit and stop using their speed altogether. She wouldn’t even bother acknowledging any kind of restrictions or cutting down on how much of their power they use or how often. Iris is immediate and only thought I’d that they need to stop everything. She knows she’s asking a lot but her bby’s life means the most to her and she’d rather have them safe and alive then watch them run themself into a pile of dust right before her eyes. Nothing her darling could say or plead would change her mind.

Baby, You’re Like Lightning In A Bottle
Touching Bart is like getting struck by lightning.  It’s addictive, and Jaime doesn’t want to stop.
The first time it happens, Jaime brushes it off as a heat-of-the-moment desperation for comfort on Bart’s part.
Not that he can really blame the speedster for being clingy.  The battle was intense, and anyone would be shaken up after being shot in the leg.  Hell, he’s pretty shaken up by it and he wasn’t even the one who got shot.  The loud rat-a-tat-tat of gunfire and Bart’s pained yelp are going to haunt him for a long time.
Luckily, the bullet went straight through, so they don’t have to worry about Bart’s leg healing with the bullet still inside.  Apparently that was something that happened to Wally once and it was not fun for anyone involved.  Still, Jaime can’t stop himself from sneaking glances at the bloody hole in the leg of Bart’s suit.
They’re sitting in the Bioship, exhausted after a long day of fighting, when Bart drops his head on Jaime’s shoulder and casually takes hold of his hand before passing the fuck out.
Jaime very much does not make an undignified noise of surprise, nor does his brain blue screen (shut up Khaji Da).  His face is burning and he’s suddenly ridiculously grateful for the full-body armor.
“Jaime Reyes, you are being ridiculous.  The Impulse initiates physical contact with you regularly.  There is no reason to react in such a manner,” Khaji Da reprimands him.
“This is different!” he hisses back mentally.
“I do not see how,” Khaji snarks.  Its mental voice is as monotone as ever, but Jaime has learned to read between the lines in the years since the scarab fused with his spine.  Khaji is definitely being snarky.  This motherfucker.
Bart snuffles at his shoulder, snuggling further into Jaime’s side, and the older teen’s internal monologue immediately dissolves into the mental equivalent of a keysmash.  He glances at Bart out of the corner of his eye and sucks in a flustered breath.  Bart’s delicate cheekbones are smattered with freckles and sunspots, and there’s a smudge of dirt on his chin.  He looks so peaceful, and Jaime’s heart suddenly feels like it’s going to overflow.  He exhales and looks away, resolutely staring straight ahead, trying to ignore the warmth of Bart’s hand in his own.
Bart’s just being clingy because he got hurt.  This isn’t going to happen again.
...
Except it does.  It keeps happening, again and again.  Bart keeps holding his fucking hand and Jaime’s just about ready to tear his goddamn hair out over it.  Maybe this is just a thing in the future?  You trust someone, you hold their hand?  Maybe the apocalypse makes people clingy; it sure did that to Bart at least.  At a loss for this sudden change in Bart’s behavior, he decides to just ask him.
“Why do you keep doing that, ese?” he asks the next time Bart grabs hold of his hand.
“Why do I keep doing what?” Bart looks up at him, too-innocent confusion written all over his face.  Dios mio, Jaime cannot deal with his bullshit innocent act right now.
“Hold my hand all the time!  Why?!”
Bart shrinks in on himself, “Because I want to...?  Do you not want me to?”
Mierda, now Jaime feels like he’s just kicked a puppy or something, “No, it’s fine.”
The smile Bart gives him could outshine the fucking sun.  And it is.  It’s fine.  It’s more than fine, actually.  Jaime actually really likes it when Bart holds his hand, to Khaji Da’s endless amusement.  Bart’s hands are warm and dry, all calloused palms and nails bitten short.  Bart bites his nails when he’s nervous, Jaime’s noticed.  It shouldn’t be as endearing as it is.  Jaime even starts to reach for Bart, initiating contact.  Bart is so nonchalant about the whole thing that Jaime feels stupid for freaking out in the first place.  It’s innocent and comforting and honestly just really really nice.
Unfortunately, he also forgets that not everyone sees it that way.
“Hey, Reyes!  I didn’t know you were a fucking fag!”
Jaime freezes, panic rooting him in place.  Shit shit shit shit fuck shit.  He’s so stupid, holding Bart’s hand like this in public in goddamn El Paso, Texas.  He’s been hanging out with the Team so much that he’s forgotten the unspoken rules of being a queer kid in the South.  He rips his hand out of Bart’s and runs like a coward.
“Blue!”  Bart is speeding after him, and Jaime could never hope to outrun a speedster even on the best of days but fuck if he isn’t trying right now.  “Blue, Jaime, wait!”
Jaime doesn’t stop, he just keeps going until he gets to the edge of town and even then he doesn’t stop, he just keeps running out into the desert.
“Jaime Reyes,” Khaji Da intones as he runs, “You are being ridiculous.  Your combat skills are far superior to the average human adolescent.  You have nothing to fear from that boy.”  Figures the alien scarab wouldn’t understand what a hate crime is, Madre de Dios.
“Jaime!  Jaime stop!” Bart grabs his wrist, yanking him to a stand-still.
“The Impulse is attacking!” Khaji Da hisses.
“Shut the fuck up for once you stupid insect,” he snarls back.  Khaji Da beeps affrontedly at him but stays quiet.
Bart is still gripping his wrist like a vice and Jaime can’t find it in himself to pull away.  “C’mon, Blue.  Talk to me,” Bart pleads.  His eyes are wide and sincere and Jaime folds like a house of cards.
“He saw us holding hands,” he blurts out.
Bart looks confused, “We hold hands in front of the Team all the time, dude.”
“This is different,” Jaime tells him.  “Not everyone is like the Team, ese.”
“Well, no doi!  We’re a team of superheroes, Blue.”
“Not what I meant, hermano,” Jaime sighs.  “Not everyone would be okay with the two of us holding hands.”
Bart still looks confused, “But why?”
“Because we’re both guys, Bart, and this is Texas.”
“So what?” Bart says, and Jaime is abruptly reminded that Bart is from the future.  Goddammit.
“Do you seriously not know what homophobia is?”
Bart cocks his head, “Well, I know that homo means same and phobia means fear of, but I’m guessing that’s not what you mean.”
Jaime laughs, “I forget how much of a nerd you are sometimes,” he says fondly.
Then his expression sours, “No, homophobia is hatred against gay people.  That guy back there thought we were dating, so he called me a slur.  People get beaten up or killed all the time just because they aren’t straight.”  Jaime feels stiff, like he’s reciting from a book, but he doesn’t know how else to explain something that’s just a fact of life for most people.
Bart’s shoulders tense, his frame sharp and rigid.  “What the fuck is wrong with people?!” he seethes, enraged.
Jaime startles at the intensity of Bart’s anger, instinctively taking a step back from the waves of rage rolling off of him.  He doesn’t think he’s ever seen Bart this pissed off before.  The speedster is literally vibrating with anger and his fists are clenched.
“Bart?” Jaime asks tentatively, “You okay?”
“No I am not fucking okay!” Bart snaps, wheeling around to face him, “I just found out that this time period is full of bigoted assholes!”  Bart sniffles and wipes angrily at his eyes.
      Oh.  Oh shit.
“Hang on, are you gay?” Jaime blurts out.
Bart slumps, anger draining away.  He sniffles and shrugs.  “Surprise?” he says wetly.
“Oh,” Jaime says dumbly, even though he’s the one who asked.
“I do not understand your species’ obsession with the gender of one’s mate.  Even your human concept of gender is flawed and arbitrary at best,” Khaji Da sniffs.
“Not the time, mijo,” he chides.
Bart’s shoulders are tense once more, and Jaime belatedly realizes that he’s just been standing there silently for the past minute.  “Sorry,” Jaime says, not really sure what he’s apologizing for, “That’s cool with me, hermano.”
Bart’s eyes flicker to him, “Really?”
Jaime nods, “Yeah, I mean I’d be a hypocrite not to be.”  Abort, abort, abort!  He’s never told anyone that he’s bisexual, not even Paco and Brenda and they’re his oldest friends.
      Barts eyes widen, “You too?”
Bart looks so hopeful that Jaime can’t bring himself to lie.  He rubs the back of his neck awkwardly, “Uh, yeah.  I’m bi.”
Bart grins, “Totally crash,” he says, and the knot in Jaime’s chest loosens.  It’s good, they’re good.  In a moment of bravery, Jaime grabs Bart’s hand.  Bart makes a soft, surprised sound but doesn’t pull away.
      They’re gonna be okay.
...
For the most part, things stay the same.  Bart still steals Jaime’s Chicken Whizeez and drags him out of bed at ungodly hours of the night to go racing in the desert.  They still hold hands, though lately Bart’s been a bit more cautious about doing it in public and Jaime isn’t sure why Bart’s new-found hesitance makes his heart ache as much as it does.
Things stay the same, but there is an air of tension between them; like the smell of ozone before a storm, like they’re both waiting for something to happen.  Like they’re waiting for the storm to break.
...
It’s raining when it happens.  It’s days like this when Jaime’s especially grateful for the Blue Beetle’s armor.  While everyone else gets soaked, he stays nice and dry in his suit.  Not that he’ll stay that way once the mission’s over; there’s a non-zero chance that Bart will tackle him as soon as he de-armors back at the Watchtower and they’ll both end up soaked, courtesy of Bart, but it’s the thought that counts.
Jaime smiles slightly at the thought of Bart’s starfish hugs.  For such a skinny guy, he’s surprisingly wiry.  And dios mio those legs...
“Jaime Reyes,” Khaji Da snaps at him, “Cease this foolishness at once!”
Jaime rolls his eyes, “It’s fine, there’s no one here.”  The warehouse is abandoned, with no sign of the smugglers carrying the stolen Reach tech.
He’s on perimeter duty for this mission, mostly because he’s the only one who doesn’t complain about not getting any action.  Jaime doesn’t particularly enjoy fighting, never has, but he’s not about to turn away from a chance to help people.
Just to be sure, Jaime scans for heat signatures in the trees.  Khaji Da reports an anomaly 500 feet to the right.  Could be nothing, but it’s best to check it out, just in case.
Jaime moves to investigate the anomaly, but before he can get very far a high-pitched whine fills the air and a weight slams into his back, sending him flying.  Khaji Da shrieks, its pain sending jolts of agony up and down Jaime’s spine.  The crackle of electricity is deafening as his whole body convulses, the rain sizzling when it hits his armor.  The scarab gives one last cry of agony, a sound that rips through Jaime’s brain like a knife and leaves him seeing stars, before retracting the armor and going unnervingly silent.
Jaime gasps for air, trying to focus through the haze of pain, “Khaji Da?”
Nothing.  His head feels empty, with no sign of the scarab’s presence anywhere.
He tries again, “Khaji Da, mijo, answer me!”
Again, he gets no answer.  For the first time in years, he’s alone and it scares the hell out of him.
Footsteps echo through the fog in his head from somewhere off to his right.  The anomaly.  Jaime tries to get up, but freezes at the feeling of a blade against the back of his neck.
“I wouldn’t move if I were you,” a deep voice purrs.  “Wouldn’t want you to get hurt before the fun begins, now would we?”  Something slams into the back of Jaime’s head, and everything goes dark.
...
Jaime wakes up shirtless and chained to a wall.  What the fuck, he thinks vaguely.  He’s cold and wet and he feels like he just went ten rounds with Beast Boy’s elephant form.
“Well, well, well,” a masculine voice drawls, “look who’s finally awake.”
Jaime’s blood runs cold.  The mission.  The anomaly.  Khaji Da.  With an enormous amount of effort, Jaime lifts his head and looks for the source of the voice.  When his vision finally focuses, he almost passes back out because that’s motherfucking Deathstroke the Terminator smirking at him and cleaning his nails with a goddamn knife.
Deathstroke saunters up to him, “Now, what should we try first, hmm?”
Jaime tries to armor up, but only gets a jolt of pain down his spine that leaves him gasping for breath.  Khaji Da is still silent, but Jaime thinks he can feel the barest hint of its presence.  He grits his teeth.  This is going to suck so bad.
Deathstroke flips the knife he was using to clean his nails around and uses the flat of the blade to lift Jaime’s chin, “Any suggestions, bug boy?”
In a moment of brave stupidity, Jaime spits, “You could go fuck yourself, pendejo.”  He’s proud of himself for keeping his voice steady, but the feeling doesn’t last very long.
Deathstroke tilts his head and moves the knife so it’s almost piercing Jaime’s eye.  Jaime is unable to stope himself from flinching.  The mercenary smiles, “Not so tough without that armor, are you, boy?”
Slowly, Deathstroke moves the knife away from his eye and down his face.  With a quick, precise motion, he flicks the knife across Jaime’s cheek, drawing blood.  Jaime grits his teeth.  It stings, but he’s had worse from running around fighting bad guys with the Team.  He can handle this.
Deathstroke chuckles, “Trying to be brave?  That’s cute.  I’m just warming up.”
He flicks the knife across Jaime’s cheek again.  Then he traces the knife across the bridge of his nose, leaving a deeper cut that bleeds sluggishly and hurts like a bitch.  Jaime keeps his mouth shut, not wanting to give the mercenary the satisfaction of seeing him squirm.
Deathstroke gives him a considering once-over that makes Jaime’s skin crawl.  The mercenary grins at Jaime’s discomfort and traces the knife along his cheekbone before taking a step back.  Against his will, Jaime visibly relaxes at the distance between him and his captor.  Deathstroke’s grin turns ugly.  Then he clocks Jaime across the face.
Jaime’s head snaps to the side with the force of the blow and he actually sees stars.  Before today he thought that was just an expression, but apparently not.  He gasps and tries to focus, only for Deathstroke to hit him again from the other side.  Jaime feels his nose crack and he tastes blood.  His jaw is throbbing and he’s starting to see double, so he’s almost relieved when Deathstroke picks up the knife again.  Almost.
Deathstroke get uncomfortably close, so that they’re nearly nose to nose, and says, “Now that I’m done warming up, let’s get to the real fun.”  He slashes the knife across Jaime’s chest in a single, bloody arc.
Jaime grits his teeth, but he’s unable to stop a choked whimper from escaping his throat.  Tears blur in his eyes.  Seeing this, Deathstroke grins and slashes at his chest again.  Then he reels back and slams his fist into Jaime’s stomach once, twice, three times.
Jaime gasps and wheezes, trying to breath through the pain as bile rises in his throat.  His torso feels like it’s on fire and the cuts on his face sting from the salt in his tears.
“Well, kid, this has been fun, but my employer payed me to kill one of you brats and I’m getting bored so I think I’ll just slit your throat and let your little friends find your corpse,” Deathstroke drawls, grabbing another knife from his belt.
Panic floods Jaime’s veins.  He can’t die.  He can’t do that to his family, to his friends, to Bart.  He struggles weakly against the handcuffs, but without his armor he’s just a normal kid.  He can’t do shit.  Frustration and fear squeeze squeeze metal bands around his heart.  Fuck.  He’s going to die and Khaji Da is going to die with him.  Lo siento, he thinks distantly, and closes his eyes.
But the kiss of the knife never comes.  Instead, a familiar rush of wind howls in his ears.  When he opens his eyes, Jaime sees the lightning-wreathed form of Bart in all his speedster glory standing over the bloodied unmoving body of Deathstroke.  Bart is incandescent and literally glowing with rage, and in that moment he’s the most beautiful thing Jaime’s ever seen.
Faster than his eyes can track him, Bart zips over to him.  “Ohmygodohmygodyourfaceyou’rebleeding,” he gasps, cradling Jaime’s face in his hands.  His eyes are wide and teary.
Jaime feels dizzy with relief, “Bart?”
“Yeahit’smeohmygodI’mgonnakillhimhowdarehe,” Bart is talking too fast for Jaime to catch anything, hands blurring as they fly all over his body, checking his injuries.
“Slow down, I can’ understan’ you,” he slurs.
Bart swallows, “Sorry,” he says wetly.  His hands come back up to gently cup Jaime’s face, “I got you, Blue,” he says softly.
Jaime nods.  Bart does something too fast for him to see and suddenly he’s out of the cuffs.  He slumps against his friend, and Bart lowers them both to the ground.
Jaime feels shaky and exhausted.  He leans against Bart, and the speedster wraps his arms around Jaime tightly.  His fingers brush the scarab on Jaime’s back, and Jaime hisses as pain jolts down his spine.
Bart pulls away and manuevers so he can see Jaime’s back.  “What the fuck,” he hisses angrily.  “There’s something on the scarab,” he says.  He leans in, his bangs brushing Jaime’s shoulder blades, “It looks like an emp.”
Ah.  So that’s why he couldn’t armor up.  “Can you ge’ it off?” he asks.
“I can try,” he says, “But, Jaime, this- it’s gonna be painful.”  Bart’s voice shakes.
“Do it,” he says, “I trust you.”
Bart’s fingers touch his back and Jaime screams, back arching as jolts of pain shoot through him.  It only lasts for a few seconds, but it feels like an eternity to Jaime, his vision whiting out from the pain.  Then, as quickly as it came, the pain is gone.
“Jaime Reyes,” Khaji Da’s presence is uncharacteristcally weak, but it’s there.  Jaime sobs in relief and collapses back against Bart, who wraps shaking arms around him, pressing a kiss to his shoulder and muttered apologies into his hair.
...
They’re still huddled together on the floor of the warehouse when the rest of the Team finds them.  Miss Martian’s psychic presence is gentle, but Jaime still flinches.  He’s pretty out of it by this point, dizzy with adrenaline and blood loss.
Someone yelps, “Holy shit, is that Deathstroke?”  Large hands are suddenly gripping him under the arms, and he panics.
He tries to move, but Bart just shushes him and rubs circles into his shoulder, “Hey, Jaime it’s okay.  You’re okay.”  He slumps against Bart, exhausted.
Bart says something, and the hands disappear.  Jaime doesn’t remember much else, and he passes out before they reach the Bioship.
...
Jaime wakes up to the sound of a heart monitor beeping and the familiar presence of Khaji Da in the back of his head.  He blinks, taking in his surroundings.  He’s in the Watchtower’s medbay, and the last thing he remembers is...
      Fuck, Deathstroke!
Jaime flails around, panic seizing his body.  The monitor is going crazy, only adding to his panic.
“Jaime Reyes, cease this display,” Khaji Da commands.  It’s voice is gentler than Jaime’s ever felt it.  “We are not in danger.  The Impulse subdued the Deathstroke and rescued us.”
Jaime goes limp.  That’s right, Bart came for him.  He takes a shaky breath.   Suddenly, tears prick at his eyes and his breath hitches.  Mierda, he was almost... Deathstroke almost...  He scrubs at his face, digging the heels of his hands into his eyes.  He’s fine.  He’s alive, Bart got him.  He’s safe.
Speaking of Bart, Jaime realizes that the speedster is passed out next to him in a hospital chair, resting his head on the edge of Jaime’s bed.  Something in Jaime settles at the site of his best friend.  He’s okay.  He’s okay.  Just to reassure himself, Jaime reaches out and grabs Bart’s hand from where it rests on the bed, squeezing it.
Bart’s voice is rough with sleep, “Jaime?”  He blinks, relief painting his face golden, “Jaime, you’re awake!”  Bart launches himself at Jaime, clutching him tight.
The force of the hug knocks Jaime back into his pillows and he laughs wetly.  They cling to each other like they’re the only two people left in the world.  Bart’s shoulders start to shake, and then they’re both crying.  Jaime buries his face in Bart’s hair, breathing in the familiar scent of salt and ozone.  He’s fucking alive.
Bart pulls back slightly, looking up at Jaime with wide hazel eyes.  Shakily, Jaime rests his forehead against Bart’s and closes his eyes, revelling in the contact.  They stay like that for what feels like forever, just drinking each other in.
Jaime opens his eyes, and his hands come up to cup Bart’s cheeks, “Gracias, chiquito,” he says, “Gracias, gracias, gracias.”
Bart’s eyes are wide and shiny as the flicker down to Jaime’s lips and back up to his eyes.  Jaime feels his face heat up and he thinks, I could kiss him.  Then he thinks, Eh, fuck it, and leans in.
Bart’s lips are warm and slightly chapped.  He inhales sharply against Jaime’s lips and tilts his head.  Their noses bump and it’s a little wet and a little awkward and it’s perfect.  Jaime’s hands are still on Bart’s cheeks and he runs a thumb over Bart’s cheekbone and thinks, te amo, te amo, te amo.

It's the end of the world as we know it (And I'm not fine)
(Reverse Robins / Zombie au)
Chapter 5
Tim let out a sigh of relief as he reached the driveway.
"Tim!" Jason practically threw himself at his older brother.
"It's okay short stack," Tim said hugging him back "I'm right here" After a few minutes Jason let go so Tim could take care of Bart "I'm giving him a speedster-grade medicine and a super calorie pill"
     "So what now?" Jason asked
"All we can do is wait now"
Meanwhile
"We need to pick up the pace we're a day behind" Damian urged as everybody started walking.
"So what movies are we going to watch?" Wally asked speeding up to walk beside Damian.
"This is not the time" Damian rolled his eyes.
"Oh stop being such a stick in the mud this is important," Wally said crossing his arms.
"West this is literally the least important thing I can think of"
"Well it's important to me, if we don't figure something out Jason will have us watching Pride and Prejudice again just so he can complain the entire movie"
"Still better than listening to you"
Meanwhile
Bart groaned as he slowly opened his eyes. Tim was sitting next to him while Jason was curled up in a chair with a blanket on the other side of the room.
"Welcome back to the land of the living" Tim smiled gently ruffling the young speedster's hair. He looked exhausted, but when did Tim not look exhausted?
"W-What happened?" Bart asked trying to set up.
"You had a bad fever" Tim responded helping him sit up "it was touch and go for a while there but once you got the good medicine in you it seemed to do the trick"
"Where's your coat?" Bart asked staring at him curiously.
"I lost it while I was coming back," Tim said looking away.
"Is he up?" Jason blinked sleepily from his chair.
     "Yeah," Tim nodded.
"Good," Jason said jumping down and walking over to Bart grabbing him by the collar of his shirt "DON'T DO THAT AGAIN!!"
Meanwhile
"We have to watch Winnie the Pooh" Wally chirped walking next to Damian.
"No it's bad enough that you got Jason addicted to that yellow nuisance, you so much as turn on one episode of that horrific cartoon and I'm going to stab you again" Damian threatened still looking ahead.
"You're just a big softy aren't you" Wally teased as he slowed down before coming to a complete stop while the others kept going.
"You know you are an absolute-West?" Damian turned to see Wally hunched over, one hand clenching his chest as he struggled to breathe "Wally?!" Damian ran to his side.
"What happened?" Steph asked running back to them with Dick on her tail. Cass stood over them taking in their surroundings.
"I...just...need to.....catch my breath" Wally panted trying to breathe. His hair was drenched with sweat and his cheeks were turning an alarming red.
"You fool" Damian growled helping him into a sitting position "You overexerted your self"
"I'm fine...." Wally gasped leaning against Damian for support.
"Leave now," Cass said urgently. Damian stopped and listened to the sound of footsteps approaching, a lot of them.
"She right we need to leave now," Damian said helping Wally up.
"You guys go ahead I'll just slow you down" Wally responded almost out of breath.
"Stop talking none sense" Damian scolded putting his arm under Wally's, helping him up.
"There's a house up ahead" Steph pointed to the distant outline of a roof.
"Get moving" Damian ordered as he helped Wally down the hill.

Hi again, I’m the anon from before about Wally coming back. I actually wasn’t thinking about the heroes in crisis storyline for Wally’s return (although maybe they can use parts of it to examine his trauma coming back to life later on). I was thinking about when Wally and his family were brought back to life in the pre new52 comics. I believe it was called the lightning saga(?); it was a jsa and justice league crossover. Early on in the jsa run, the legion’s starman showed up and was adopted into the jsa except he had jumbled memories (I think later it was explained as schizophrenia? But idk if that was the case here.) the reason his memories were messed up was that the legion had a plan to send back 7 members for a special plan. (Starman, dream girl, karate kid, dawnstar, timber wolf, wildfire, projectra/sensor girl). Each were in the past with wiped memories as well and Starman had the code word to bring the memories back when the time was right. So the jsa and jla help find the legion members, unaware of their plans. Once reunited, each legion member takes a lightning rod and goes to a location that is important to Wally and Barry (I.e blue valley, central city, titans tower, etc). Lightning from the storm they are channeling is supposed to hit one of them, therefore sacrificing that legion member but capturing the lightning) karate kid gets hit but survives and Wally and his family have been resurrected. Except later we learn that their plan was not to resurrect Wally —that was an unexpected side effect —they captured the lightning with someone in it. Turns out, when Wally came back, Bart was killed by the rogues and inertia, so the legion captured him in the lightning so that they later could bring him back when the timeline needed him. Sorry for that long rant! Just really love that storyline and would love to see it! (I do hope at least some of this made sense!)
Hey again anon! First of all never apologize to me for ranting and my inbox is always open for that, it’s really interesting to read your thoughts on this and I kinda love to be receiving DC related asks so thanks!
But back to the topic, I mean I thought they were already doing some of that during the season with how the Legion was looking to save superboy and ended up getting involved with Bart instead, but to be fair there are things that I either haven’t read or don’t remember that well from the comics, so take everything I say here with a grain of salt. I think you’re referring to what happened when Wally retired with his family to another reality and Bart was the Flash for like two hot minutes? And that was before Barry officially came back as the main Flash, no? I guess it wouldn’t work for me because we already saw a version of that in the YJ show with Wally wanting to retire with Artemis before his “death” and also if they’re introducing the whole concept of the sanctuary and how in the comics Wally was dealing with the trauma of being gone for years and feeling like he didn’t belong into the new timeline with his friends having moved on, which realistically is a mindset show Wally would also have if he were to come back.
Then again I might be wrong, and I wouldn’t mind if I were lol.

rewatching young justice from the beginning is making me feel really sorry for wally's possible return
because five years on paper already sounds like a lot, but seeing it play out? the gap between maturity levels of these characters between seasons is huge.
people have talked about how wally is gonna be overwhelmed by all the sudden changes in-universe since his "cease" (formation of the outsiders, the meta-human crisis, all the shit going down on new genesis), but that's just the tip of the iceberg.
he's been dead for five years. everything about the world he left behind has substantially changed. the relationships between his teammates is radically different, the League is filled with strangers and kids half his age, and the world at large has kept turning. wally has always prided himself on his intellect- it's one of the things that set him apart from his teammates and helped him feel confident even when his speed failed to impress.
the complete lack of knowledge not just of the political changes in-universe but how new information changes the way he views himself and his family is going to drive him nuts. he doesn't know what a motherbox is. he doesn't know he's distantly related to vandal savage or that he's a "dangerous meta". he's never met don and dawn. he doesn't even know that joan, his grandmother figure, is dead. that's already so much for one person to handle at once.
i'm a sucker for wally!whump but really the angst potential for his return is insane. bc wally's always been the happy-go-lucky comedic relief of the group, but that's always been surface level to mask his fears of being unneeded. i'd like to think the episodes dedicated to his acclimation to the present are going to show more serious sides of him yj and yj:invasion only barely touched upon.
we could see a wally that's insecure, afraid, confused, and resentful— qualities never really associated with him. we could see a wally that's going to question why he was ever even saved. there's no point to him living anymore, everyone who's ever mourned him has moved on. we could see a wally who's a witness to all the physical, emotional, and capabality-related changes his friends have gone through, while he's still stuck in his early 20s body with his early 20s skillset; a wally who'll be forced to wonder where his place is if he can't keep up with his friends and peers as a hero and as a civilian.
tl;dr: wally's biggest flaw is the inability to cope with a lack of control. if he gets revived, he's going to be thrust into an environment where he's completely out of his depth, and aside from the amazing wally angst potential this could produce, i think it could be a catalyst for some amazing character development. (since... y'know... his insecurities were never really addressed aside from his last-minute acceptance of bart :P)

FREE FALLING K.K.
Request: Okay some anons were simping over kon now I wanna simp~ y/n is an archer on the teen Titans , and she tends to be shy and on the reserved side, so when kon flirts she just dismisses him every time, until another guy ( superhero or civilian, you choose ) gets flirty and he gets made protective/jealous.
Warning: fluff
A/N: I’m slowly running out of already written fics and my motivation has not come back yet. This hiatus may be lasting longer than I thought.
Word Count: 2.3k

There was nothing wrong with a little bit of flirting within the team. It kept the bond of teammates close and always kept everyone on their toes. The dynamic on the Teen Titans was always one of ups and downs. There was such an entanglement of potential relationships that everyone got confused as to what was going on.
Most of that confusion stemmed from Conner Kent, Superboy as the team knew him as. His temporary relationship with Cassie had surprised everyone. He flirted with nearly everyone on the team, Tim, Kori, you. Kon's endless flirting began the day Oliver dropped you off at the Titans Tower and left you there for good.
Kon was frustrating in the sense that his flirtation with you was nonstop. From the moment you woke up to the moment you went back to sleep, it seemed that his only mission was to get you flustered. It didn't seem that he knew that you were bothered by his comments.
Tim always scolded Kon for his behaviour. After Cassie, it was clear that relationships among teammates was dangerous. Not to mention that it was pretty obvious of your blatant ignorance of his attempts. He continued to try nonetheless - one day you would crack for him, one day.
"Good morning, sweetheart." Kon was never an early riser. At the farm, he always got up early for chores, so at the tower he took every chance to sleep in. When he started to learn that you got up early, so did he. There was always the tired look in her eyes that he admired.
Kon found you down at the range. Though your skills were nowhere near Oliver, or even Roy, you put up a good fight just as much as everyone else on this team. The early hours were always dedicated to practice, and unfortunately, Kon figured that out pretty quickly.
You were so concentrated on the shot, you hadn't heard Kon's heavy footsteps join you. The shot went askew, completely missing the target. Your body tensed with frustration at him.
"Whoops, sorry babe. Didn't realize my good looks distracted you so much," Kon grinned. You refused to show him his words got you flustered. Instead, you grabbed another arrow. Babe. It slipped so smoothly off his tongue that it forced a chill down your spine.
"It's fine, Superboy," you assured him - though you were still angered at him for screwing around with your training once again. Kon leaned against the rack that held your bows. His arms rested on the top, head on his hands. His curls were still a mess from his sleep last night.
You felt your arm shake for a split second. His eyes watching your every move, waiting for you to make the perfect shot just as you always did. There was a lot of pressure on you with his gaze. You took a breath before releasing the arrow, watching as it hit dead center of the target. It was easy, hitting a non-moving target like this. Kon was the one making it difficult.
"Superboy?" He cocked an eyebrow. "We aren't on a mission babe, you can call me Kon you know. I'd prefer it." Of course he would, he loved the sound of his name passing your lips. It was almost angelic. "You know-"
"(Y/N), Conner," Tim's head popped into the training room before Kon could tell you what he wanted. His chest fell with a disappointed sigh. "Nightwing and Flash are here."
"Is there something wrong?" You asked. They rarely showed up out of the blue without there being a reason. Usually, that reason meant that people were in trouble and lives were at stake. Tim relieved your stress with a simple shake of his head. He gestured for the both of you to follow him. Kon stuck his hand out for you to hand over the bow so he could hang it up on the rack he leaned on.
A small smile cracked as your hand brushed against his. It was cheesy, ridiculously so, but his touch was so warm and inviting even if it was just for a brief second. Kon placed the bow down and followed you and Tim out of the room. Just as Robin said, his older brother and his friend were with the others in the meeting room.
Wally's presence always lightened the room. There was something about the smile that resided on him that managed to put everyone in a good mood. It always amplified whenever Dick was at his side. The two were a dynamic pair, and when they did stop by the tower without underlying business, it was always a good time.
There were a few times that you had been alone in the tower. Tim back to Gotham, Kon and Cassie to their own homes as well. It left you and Bart with no one but yourselves to keep each other company. In those times, Wally would sometimes make an appearance. The speedsters would train but by the end of the night you would all be piling high with snacks.
As you entered the room, Wally waved at you and that smile that everyone looked forward to was released. Before you could wave back, a heavy arm was thrown across your shoulder. Kon was at your side. It wasn't the first time he had completely invaded your bubble and it surely wouldn't be the last.
"Flash, Nightwing," he greeted. You could feel the heat crawling up your neck with Kon's side pressed against yours. Hopefully, he, nor any of your other teammates, noticed your state. It was beyond annoying that he could get you like this. "What's the visit for this time? Scolding us for saving the day again?"
He dropped his arm from your shoulders but remained close to you. Kryptonians must have ran warm because you could still feel the lingering heat of his body against you.
"JL wanted an update, figured we could stop in," Wally answered. He sped over to your side and placed a hand over your ear so no one else could hear. "And Boy Wonder over there is in trouble with the Bats." Clearly, Kon heard what the speedster had to say and let out a laugh. What could Tim have done to get himself in trouble?
"Doesn't explain why you came," you joked. Wally had mimicked Kon's arm-over-the-shoulder.
"Wanted to come see you, of course," Wally grinned. His arm suddenly locked around your neck and his knuckles rubbed into your head. You struggled to pull him off you. Finally, you had managed to hook his ankle and make him fall flat on his back. "Look at that, you're making me lose my breath."
The laughter among teammates emitted from everyone besides Kon. He had an annoyed look on his face from the interaction between you and Wally, though he said nothing about it. Wally sped back up, a slight tinge of pink to his cheeks after the interaction.
Kon watched in frustration as Wally dragged you into the kitchen, likely to find himself a snack or two. Your laughs always put a bit of joy in him, but now? Hearing you laugh because of Wally? Each sound was like a knife to the heart. Pure jealously ran through him - why was it that he could never make you laugh like that?
"Calm down, Kon," Tim stood by his side. It was clear to anyone, even when they weren't raised by the great Batman, that Kon was incredibly jealous of Wally. It was only Tim that decided to speak up. "There's nothing between them. No need to be jealous."
"I'm not," Kon snapped. His reaction was enough to prove that he was in fact jealous. He let out a huff of air before walking away from his best friend. Unfortunately, the further he got from Tim, the closer he got to you and Wally just to hear the sound of your laughter once more. His chest tightened with anger.
It wasn't at Wally, nor you. It was at himself for not being able to get you out of your comfort zone as the speedster could. Since joining this team it seemed he was the only one that you remained shy and nervous around. What was wrong with him to make you feel that way?
What was wrong with him that made you not want to spend time with him?
><
"There you are."
Kon disappeared shortly after you left with Wally (and eventually Bart who couldn't stay away at the smell of food). Tim was with Dick all afternoon and Cassie spent her time training with Kori. Kon was nowhere to be found, and you couldn't figure out why he felt the need to leave his friends.
You searched the whole building for him, starting down at the training grounds and working your way all the way up to the roof of the buildings. He was sitting on the edge, legs dangling as the last rays of the sun fell from the sky.
Kon folded into himself: shoulders hunched, head hung low. He perked up at the sound of your voice - even more so when he saw that you were alone. You sat next to him and matched his sitting position.
"Were you up here all day?" You asked. Kon nodded, though he remained silent. It wasn't like him to skip out on a pickup line or make some sort of comment. In fact, it wasn't like him to just disappear the whole day either. He looked upset about something. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing." Kon was a horrible liar. You raised your eyebrows at him, indicating that you knew he was lying through his teeth. He sighed, leaning back so his palms pressed into the rough roofing. The golden rays illuminated him, creating an aura around him that made him seem godly. You wanted to reach out to him, but contained yourself.
The sunset was beautiful enough as it was, but to add Kon's beauty on top of that? Your heart was beating so fast you were sure that Kon's super hearing had him concerned.
"You don't have to lie around me, you know," You nudged his side. Kon sighed once more. He didn't want to tell you the truth, but he felt terrible for lying and making you worry. You were quick to notice a pink tinge on his cheeks. It was a turn of events, usually you were the one flustered around him. The hue looked pleasant on him.
"I'm sorry," he suddenly apologized, "I... Well, I guess..." Kon fumbled over his words. The pink on his cheeks grew brighter, even as he tried to hide it from you. There was never a day you thought you would get to see the great Superboy flushed like this. He was always the confident one. "Fuck."
Kon's hand grasped your cheeks. His split moment of hesitance made you realize exactly what he was about to do. Whether it be frozen in fear or excitement, you didn't try to move. The closer he got the harder your heartbeat until the point as if it felt like you were going to burst. The moment Kon's lips were on yours it felt as if it stopped altogether.
His kiss was soft, hesitant - nothing like the facade he always had up. Kon was delicate with you, as if he was worried he was going to break you with just a touch. Your lips moved against his with far more confidence than you had ever shown him before. You didn't realize how badly you craved for his taste until the moment you had it.
He pulled away only for a second, waiting to see if you were wanting him to quit completely. With no sign of regret, Kon pulled you in for a rushed kiss. His lips needy against yours, making up for the lost time that he wasted months on. It was only when his lungs felt like they were going to combust did he give you space.
"I-" His palm remained against the curve of your neck and jaw, thumb swiping against your cheekbone. "I was jealous today, of Wally. I've never heard you laugh so hard when you're with him and I wanted that. I'm sorry."
"You have no reason to be sorry, Superboy," you assured him. He couldn't stop his feelings, just as you couldn't deny them anymore. "I-I'm sorry I was always so distant with you. I... I guess I was too scared to admit my feelings for you."
Kon was ready to spill his heart out to you. He knew that once he started gushing about how much he adored you, he wouldn't be able to stop. Instead, he leaned into you again, smiling into your kiss with pure excitement.
His legs that dangled off the edge pushed against the siding of the building and pulling you along with him. A strangled scream ripped from your throat as the two of you free fell in the darkening sky. Kon's arm wrapped around your waist and he held you flush against his body.
Your head was buried into the crook of his neck until realizing that you were no longer falling but floating. The grip on his shirt loosened and you looked up to appreciate the new view he gave you.
Kon brushed his lips against yours once more, just to grab your attention. "Don't worry babe, I've got you. There's no need to worry whenever you're with me."

Author's Note: I should really post my other Kryptonian reader story. Enjoy the angst! -Thorne
**********************************************************************
She jerked backwards, eyes widening at the sight of the thick, crimson liquid running down her arm. A shudder ran through her, throat seizing up as she tried to suck in air, her other hand coming up to rub at her arm. Suddenly it was on both hands and she stared at them in horror.
A voice called from below her, pained, but firm. “Superwoman…it’s okay. Don’t—ugh—don’t panic. It’s alright.” The voice was soothing at first, but when she looked down to find its owner, the body next to him took up all she saw, a vicious, gaping hole where his heart used to be.
She peddled backwards, stumbling to the floor, apologies falling from her lips. “I’m sor—I’m so sorry. It was just—he was hurting you and I—I didn’t mean to do this, I swear—”
The boy reached out to her but grunted in pain, hand dropping to hold his side. “(Y/N)—”
Her eyes met his once more, and he could see the tears swimming in her gaze as she whispered, “I’m sorry.” She shot from the ground, disappearing in the sky in a blur of red and blue.
He reached for her calling out, “(Y/N)!” He lost sight of her as quickly as she left, and the other two ran up to him.
“Tim!” The taller boy stopped, looking down at the corpse next to him, jaw dropping in shock. “…Oh my god. Wh—what happened?” He looked at the other. “Tim?”
He shook his head, eyes meeting the shorter one. “Bart, I need you to get to Central and find Wally and Dick and tell them to get to the cave.” Bart nodded and spun, taking off in a flash of yellow lightning.
The other boy knelt, picking him up off the ground. “Tim, what happened?”
He groaned, hand moving to hold his side once more. “(Y/N) killed him on accident.” Tim looked at him. “Conner, I can get back to the tower on my own, but I need someone to get to Jason.” He sucked in a breath, reaching up and wiping the blood from his nose though it still bled despite him. “Kori and Roy will probably be with him, but right now, we need everyone who can search.”
Conner nodded, steadying Tim on his feet before rising from the ground; he looked down at him. “Do you know where she went?”
Tim shook his head, grimace crossing his lips as he muttered, “I don’t think we’re gonna find her for a long time.” He glanced up at Conner. “Go. Now.” The boy nodded, flying off, and Tim took a few steps forward before stumbling into a wall. He heaved a sigh, picking up his transmitter from his belt.
He pushed a button, and a few seconds later, a voice came over the line. What’s going on?
Tim frowned and asked, “What’s your E.T.A. to earth?”
Eighteen hours. What happened?
Tim glanced back at the body, the puddle of blood seeming to consume it. “It was (Y/N). She… she killed someone.”
The voice on the line was silent, then it said, Superman is on his way. Call me when he gets there.
The line went dead, and Tim sighed, sliding down the wall. He lent his head back, eyes staring up at the sky, waiting for (Y/N)’s father.
***Later In The Cave***
The group stood in silence, faces molded in a mixture of shock and pain. Tim yelped as Alfred pushed on his side. “Ow shi—Alfred!”
The man hummed, wrapping the cloth around his side. “Apologies, Master Tim.” He tucked an ice-pack between the layers. “With the broken ribs you’ve got, it would be best to keep ice close. I also advise against any harsh movements.”
Tim nodded, gaze turning to the man beside his oldest brother. “Clark.”
The man looked up from the ground, voice stricken as he lamented, “I can’t hear her. She’s…completely silent…” his eyes held a deep and sorrowed pain. “I can’t hear my baby girl.”
The others listened, then Jason stepped forward, expression grim and solemn. “Tim, what exactly happened in San Francisco today?”
The boy looked over at him before dropping his gaze to the ground, sighing, “What didn’t happen out there, Jason?”
Tim shook his head, clearing his throat. “It was a routine mission, patrol the area before getting back to the tower, but Bart called and said that he saw what looked to be a meta-human going on a rampage. We all met up and started fighting, and while it took some time, we managed to get him to an abandoned warehouse complex. Turns out, he not only had super strength, but he could also make copies of himself, and when I figured out that the original was susceptible to damage while he had copies, I sent Conner, Bart, and (Y/N) to fight the copies while I found him.”
He paused, picking at his nails. “What I didn’t expect was for him to throw me into a forklift and break three of my ribs. I tried to get up, but before I could move, his hands were around my throat, and he was lifting me up off the ground.” He absentmindedly reached up, fingers brushing the purple hand-prints around his pale neck. “Everything was happening so fast, and I couldn’t get my bearings in time. My vision started to get dark, and I could hear (Y/N) shouting from behind, and the next thing I knew, I was being dropped again. When I could see and breath clearly again, I looked up, and I saw (Y/N)…I saw her…”
A hand rested on his shoulder, and he glanced up, seeing Conner nodding firmly at him. He let out a breath and said, “And I saw (Y/N) standing there, and the meta-human lying in a pool of his own blood and he had…he had a hole through his chest.”
Quiet gasps were heard around the cave, and Tim looked up at Clark. “It was just an accident Clark, she didn’t mean to do it. She was trying to save me.” The man didn’t look at him, eyes glued to the floor as he swallowed thickly, obviously thinking about what he was just told.
Jason stepped up to Tim. “Do you know where she went?”
Tim shook his head. “No, she took off before I could stop her.”
“So, you’re pretty much saying that she could be anywhere.” Everyone turned their head at the sound of Dick’s voice.
Tim nodded. “That’s why I called everyone here. We need help trying to find her.”
Dick turned to Wally. “You and Bart comb Central.” The two took off, and Dick turned to Kori. “You should take Roy and go check around hideouts the Outlaws frequent.” Kori and Roy made their way to the stairs. “Tim, you sit out and monitor everything. Conner, you can help me and Jason check Gotham. Clark…”
Dick walked over and resting a hand on his arm. “You should go home and tell Lois about what’s happened, then check Metropolis.” Clark nodded, but made no move to go, and Dick squeezed his arm gently. “Clark.” He looked at Dick. “We will find her, I promise.”
Clark nodded again, this time finding his feet; he paused as he reached them and turned to Jason. “Jason?” He turned, waiting for Clark to continue. “I don’t really have any doubt that you’ll be the one to find her tonight…” His voice soft as he asked, “But when you do, will you tell her that I’m not angry at her?” Jason nodded, and they watched Clark leave.
Dick faced them, tone quiet. “Conner, you and I can take North and East Gotham, Jason, you should take South and West.”
They nodded at his words, each moving to the exit. Tim’s voice reached them before they could leave. “Jason! Can you wait for a minute?”
Jason nodded at the others, watching them leave before moving back to Tim. “What’s up?”
Tim hung his head and whispered, “It’s my fault, Jason. I should’ve been more vigilant when I was fighting. If I had gotten up sooner, none of this would’ve happened. I’m sorry—”
A hand rested on his shoulder and he looked up; Jason stared at him seriously. “Tim, it wasn’t your fault. And it wasn’t (Y/N)’s either.” He squeezed Tim’s shoulder gently. “Okay?” Tim nodded and Jason let go, though he saw the tears in Tim’s eyes.

Jason crouched atop the ledge staring down at the city, a frown crossing his lips. He didn’t bother to look up at the sound of someone’s boots hitting the rooftop, or when they stopped beside him. “Have you found her?”
He snorted, eyes following a car on the busy road. “Do you honestly think I’d be up here if I had?” He glanced up, seeing Dick slightly grinning at him.
Dick lowered himself on the ledge until he sat next to Jason, legs hanging freely off the edge. The two of them simply stared out at the streets, observing the cars carrying their passengers’ home.
After a few moments, Dick asked, “Where do you think she is?”
He watched Jason shrug and murmur, “I have no idea…I’ve searched everywhere that has any kind of meaning to us and I still can’t find her.” He looked at Dick, eyes filled with trepidation. “I’m worried about her, Dick…she’s all alone out there, thinking about what’s happened, and it’s eating me up.” He shook his head, letting out a sigh. “I shouldn’t have left San Francisco earlier. I should’ve stayed.”
Dick’s eyebrows shot up at his words. “Wait, you were in San Fran earlier today?”
Jason nodded. “Spent the night with her but left in the morning.” He thumped the heel of his armored boot against the wall. “I could’ve stopped that meta and she wouldn’t have done anything.”
“You’re really torn up about her killing someone, Jason.”
Jason turned to Dick, shouting. “Of course I am!” He placed a hand against his chest. “I kill bad people because they’re evil and they deserve it. I wouldn’t want (Y/N) or any of the people I care about to follow the path that I do.” He paused, voice lowering. “(Y/N) is…a good person. She’s kind and caring and she loves everyone with everything she has. She protects those that are innocent and protects those she loves even more fiercely.”
He sighed heavily, his voice lowering to a whisper. “I’d never want her to have to think about the people she kills like I do.”
“You’re telling me you actually think about the people you kill?”
Jason let out a mirthless laugh, his gaze returning to the city. “Contrary to popular belief and what you see when you look at me, I am not a heartless killer, Dick. I know the consequences of my actions, and believe me, I think about them every moment I’m alive.” He stood and looked down at his brother. “I’m going to hit my apartment and take a nap before getting back out there.”
Dick nodded, observing him as he started climbing down the ledge; he called out to Jason. “She’s really changed you in the year you’ve been together.”
Jason snorted, “Don’t tell anyone, I’ve got a reputation to keep.” He paused, hand gripping the ledge as he replied, “ But yeah she has… and only in the best ways, Dickhead.”
“Hey!”
***
The apartment was quiet, just as he’d left it the day before, and he shucked his helmet and jacket off, placing them on the table. He bent over, undoing the laces from his boots, kicking them off before reaching up and pulling his domino mask off, raising a hand to rub the fatigue from his eyes. It was a futile attempt to delay the inevitable, and as he made his way to his room, he mentally took note of how long he needed to sleep before getting back in the field to look for her.
As he walked through the hallway, a quick intake of air sounded through the apartment, and Jason reached to his hip, pulling a pistol. He stepped carefully through the hall, checking the rooms before he came up to his bedroom. Sucking in a quiet breath, he stepped into the room, gun following his gaze as it landed on a huddled mass beside the window.
He walked silently over to it, and upon closer inspection, his eyes widened, voice laced with disbelief as he questioned, “(Y/N)?”
She raised her head, eyes red rimmed and bloodshot. “Jason?” she whispered, unsure of herself.
He lowered the gun, placing it on the nightstand before moving to her, hands grasping her upper arms. “(Y/N), we’ve been looking everywhere for you.” He shook his head. “Why didn’t you call one of us and tell us where you were?” She didn’t respond to him, simply looking down. Jason let go of one of her arms, gently cupping her cheek. “Doll?”
He felt something wet drip onto his hand, and finally, she sat up straight and stared at him. The blanket she’d been covered with fell away, and his gaze dropped to her arms. His eyes widened at the sight of the faint red smeared across her arm. “(Y/N),” He breathed.
“I kept scrubbing and scrubbing, but no matter how hard or how much I did, it wouldn’t come off.” The tears were rolling down her cheeks now, and she lowered her head. “I didn’t mean to do it Jason. I just…”
Jason reached for her, pulling her into his arms and hoisting her up. He reclined against the headboard, arms wound tightly around her. “Shh…it’s alright…”
“I killed him, Jason.” (Y/N) pulled back enough to look him in the eyes. “I kept yelling for him to let Tim go, but he wouldn’t. I could hear Tim’s heartbeat fading and I just reacted.” She gazed at her arm. “I put my arm through his chest, Jason!” (Y/N) stared at her arm as if it didn’t belong to her body, an alienated limb, then she felt herself being lifted again. “Jason what—”
He said nothing, maneuvering her into the bathroom where he sat her on the sink. She watched as he pulled a rag from the cabinet and reached below the sink for a bottle. He poured the solution into the rag, then gently took her arm, wiping it. His gaze was unreadable, but it was anything but hard; in fact, it was soft, and before she knew it, the remaining blood had been wiped away.
Jason threw the towel into the hamper and turned back to her, cradling her face in his hands. “It’s all gone, (Y/N)…it’s not there anymore.” Her eyes lowered to her arm before they rose back to his, and he pressed his forehead against hers. “You don’t have to think about this anymore, doll.”
“I killed him though, Jason.”
She felt him shake his head and he asked, “What would’ve happened if you hadn’t?” She went silent, and Jason asked again, “(Y/N), what would’ve happened to Tim if you hadn’t protected him?”
Clearing her throat, she whispered, “He would’ve died.”
“No, he would’ve been murdered.” Jason looked in her eyes. “(Y/N),you saved Tim’s life.”
“At the expense of another’s.”
Jason let out a sigh and nodded. “Sometimes that’s the only way…but (Y/N)?” She looked at him and he insisted clearly, “What you did today…does not make you a killer, and it doesn’t make you a murderer…do you understand that?”
(Y/N) blinked at him before looking away and muttering, “…You should call everyone and tell them where I am.”
Jason reached down and picked her up from the sink, flicking off the light and moving to the bed. He lowered her down before crawling under the covers beside her, pulling her to him and raising the covers to their chins.
“I’ll call later.” He pressed his lips to her forehead. “Right now, the only thing that matters is you.” (Y/N) bit her lip to keep from crying, and a moment later, Jason quipped, “Remember that time that you threw me out of a third story window?”
(Y/N) let out a watery laugh, burying her face in his chest. “You’re never gonna let that go, are you, Jason?”
She glanced up at him, and he leaned down, pecking her nose. “If I keep getting a reaction out of it, probably not.”
(Y/N) searched his eyes for a moment then whispered, “I love you, Jason.”
He nodded, pressing his lips to hers. “I love you too, (Y/N).” He curled his arms around her, caging her to his chest. “Get some sleep…I’ll be here when you wake up.”
She did as he said, tucking her head under his chin. “Promise?”
“Cross my heart, doll.”

There needs to be some Rocket in Rocket’s arc but still pretty good episode
Oh my god it took me forever to watch this week’s episode. Been busy with work and finals, so been having fun. Anyways, I liked this episode but like where’s Rocket? She’s there but like not a lot going on. It focused more on
Spoilers
The evil trio. Don’t got a lot to say about them, but like Metron is being so dramatic.
Metron literally tricked them and said they got what they deserve. Then “storms into the room” like come with me if you want to save the universe
I have no idea why I found that funny but also reminds me when Conner (“RIP”) yanked him out of his chair
Anyways the trio got the phantom projector and this is going to free Conner (finally) I’m guessing this is how the next arcs going to start.
Oh yeah the adventures of Conner M’orzz-Kent in the phantom zone
Young justice dropped a banger this episode
All joking aside, when they started chanting this I was like
“Conner this is obviously a cult. What are you doing? Run”
Then he kneels because Dru Zod was like you’ll be all alone
Which to be fair I would debate it too but like your telling me that this didn’t send any warning bells to Conner
Also Conner thinking about his wedding
I love it
The thing about phantom girl is that she is now confirmed (unless we are lied to which is a decent possibility) going to be in a coma till they get out. So like I said earlier once they opened the portal they’re going to find her and Conner.
But like she’s going to wake up and be separated from her friends because they went with Bart so she’s probably going to play a decent role in the next arc with the Zod cult
Side note: please tell me Bart is not going to go with them. I can’t bare it
Onto the Beast boy therapy session
First of all when he said I’ve been sleeping better recently
I was like
I can see the bags under your eyes that are as big as the bags of emotional trauma you are going to unload before I’ll allow you to leave this room
Also I shouted when he said Conner us chilling with Bart
Because if the Wally is in the phantom zone theory is true
My god is that such a good foreshadowing line
Anyways the real reason why I want to talk about this scene
Bart finally unloads everything off his chest and I really like it.
I like how they make him express that he feels responsible or could have done something more which a lot of people feel like that too and Dinah tears apart that faulty logic that so many people have
I also like how Gar is angry about not being able to go on missions even though he doesn’t want to go on missions. He wants some control over his life.
Also when I was watching the way he doge the drug test and the other questions and his logic was in a way believable but like Dinah you can tell he’s lying
When asked if Gar could call Perdita, he instantly said no. I really hope he can get back together with her.
At the end, Gar finally admits that he needs help.
Thank you
I was really getting worried that this would end up with him dead
I hope we get to see him make up with people before the season finale. At least make up with M’gann.

The first episode of Dick's arc was figuring out the case. I bet that the second one will be getting there (ending with them entering the zone). The third will be them finding Conner. The fourth and fifth will be the final battle and them escaping.
On the PZ side of things, I bet next episode things will get bad for Conner and Phantom Girl. Phantom Girl is in a perilous situation and she has to be extremely careful how she handles everything. Something will go wrong. She'll explain the situation to Conner and they'll overhear her or she'll try to escape with Conner and they'll fail. Then the third episode will be them in extreme danger or them trying to escape. They'll meet up with the gang and from there the PZ plot will merge with Dick's plot.
For the Legion plotline next episode Lor will be trying to get the Kaiser Thrall. I really don't think Bart will just sit back and let that happen. I think, together, Bart and Bioship are going to attempt to take down Lor before they get there. I can see a situation like this happening:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the comics when Superboy Prime attacked and killed Conner, Bart ran him into the speedforce to trap him there. Barry emerged out of it (back from the dead) to help Bart.
There isn't a speedforce in Young Justice but I think that subspace could work in a similar fashion. All Bart and Bioship need to do is open a hole in the floor and shove him in. Bart would probably get stuck in there as well. I can see that being the ending of the next episode.
I'm not sure if they would make it immediately obvious that Wally was in there or if they would wait till the next episode. Regardless, I think we have Bart stuck in the time stream and finding Wally alive in the third episode of Dick's arc (Zenith and Abyss). Lor either manages to not be pushed in by Bart and travels to the Phantom Zone via the Kaiser Thrall or he is in there and he escapes with Bart and Wally when they inevitably make it to the Phantom Zone as well. Once in the Zone I think that the plotlines will merge into one for the final two episodes.

hello do you mind explaining all the amazons?
All of them????
Okay uh I'll break down the ones i at least know about anyone who's deeper into the WonderFam please jump in I don't really interact with them that much.
But we've got
Diana Prince: Wonder Woman
Our Golden Age Princess of the Amazons. During the Golden and Silver ages she came from Paradise Island. She was truly animated clay here and several hundred years old by the time of WWII. During the Golden Age Diana married Steve Trevor and they had a daughter named Hippolyta "Lyta" Trevor. (My break down of Lyta would be an essay in itself and she's not really an Amazon so). Diana was a member of the JSA here.
During the Silver Age Diana also married Steve but no kids. She rescued Donna Troy from a fire and sent her to Paradise Island to be raised by Hippolyta making Donna and Diana sisters. This is the first timeline to mention Ares is her grandfather technically as he made Hippolyta. Diana lost her powers at some point. She got really really good at martial arts and then two years later got her powers back. She supposedly died during Infinite Crisis but then you know didn't. During Convergence she killed a vampire Joker. That was fun. In this timeline Diana was a founding member of the JLA.
Okay and post crisis New Earth Diana is the first one to say Diana is from Themyscira. It was still called Paradise Island sometimes. She was molded from clay. Diana in this time was not a founding member of the JLA but came to America after it was founded. (I think Infinite Crisis retconned her to be a founding member but idk) Diana has become a member of the Trinity alongside Batman (Bruce Wayne) and Superman (Clark Kent).
The Prime Earth Diana is the one from Flashpoint and onwards. She’s now the daughter of Zeus. In New52 if I recall right she was made much much younger like in her 20s and explored mankind in the modern era. The Doomsday clock thing reestablished her WWII origins. She was also said again to have been born during probably the Hellenistic Period (they said classical antiquity and that’s you know just a few thousand years) She just helped out in Death Metals and is now doing something with Infinite Frontier unclear I don’t really know what Prime Earth Diana has been up to lately.
So on Earth-Two, Earth-One, and New Earth Diana was the granddaughter of Ares and as such her life span was greatly extended. On Prime Earth as the direct daughter of Zeus she is immortal.
Donna Troy: Troia/Wonder Girl
Donna is a tricky one. She was introduced real quick to fill the girl role on the Teen Titans cause the boys were getting a little too gay. So started Silver Age Earth 1. Okay so basically her origin kept changing but the one that’s ‘canon’ is she was created to be a playmate for Diana but was abducted and kept being cursed to live tragic lives in New Cronus. Right around the Titans era okay Donna was rescued by Diana and brought back to Earth. Donna was the one to suggest the Teen Titans name. Donna is a member of the Fab Five along with Robin/Nightwing (Dick Grayson), Aqualad/Tempest (Garth of Shayaris), Kid Flash/Flash (Wally West), and Speedy/Arsenal (Roy Harper)
Donna married Terry Long when she was 19 and they had Robert, got divorced, they died in a car crash.
After Crisis on Infinite Earth Donna sorta realized all those ‘lives’ she led were other version of her which she was all of now. And also Donna was believed to be the Goddess of the Moon. She had to stop a sun-eater or whatever but failed (Hal came in with a clutch it it’s cool)
Donna also had to fix some shit during Infinite Crisis and ended up on a Universe Hopping road trip with Kyle Rayner and Jason Todd to find Ray Palmer for Final Crisis or something. She was killed by a Superman Android during the Teen Titans/Young Justice Crossover. (Edit thanks to that anon for this I legit couldn’t remember how she died)
And Prime Earth Donna was made to destroy Diana. She you know didn’t.
Look I’ll be real I know next to nothing about what the New52 tried to do with Donna. I just go by her original origins of being Diana’s sister.
On Earth-One and New Earth Donna’s life span was greatly extended and on Prime Earth she is stated to be Immortal as on Prime Earth Amazonian’s on Themyscira were granted immortality.
Nubia:
She is like Diana’s twin made from darker clay on Earth-One which is the silver age Earth. Nubia was actually slightly older than Diana but she was stolen as a baby by Ares who was going by Mars. Mars/Ares is Nubia’s grandfather and he wanted her help in taking down the Amazons. Nubia was raised on Floating Island (or slaughter island as Mars/Ares called it). Nubia fought Diana and hesitated to kill her leading to a draw. Nubia returned to Floating Island and at some point Supergirl had to save her life from poison of some sort.
On New Earth she went by Nu’Bia and was just a random Amazon, her job was to guard the Doom’s Doorway which is an entrance to the River Styx. She was not Diana’s sister.
On Prime Earth Nubia is the daughter of Hippolyta and the half-sister of Diana not her twin. Nubia went undercover pretending to work with Darkseid before Themyscira could recover and rally to fight. Nubia is currently the Queen of the Amazons. She was given the crown by her mother, Hippolyta during the Dark Metals event.
As with Donna on Earth-One and New Earth Nubia had a greatly extended lifespan and on Prime Earth Amazons are immortal.
Cassie Sandsmark: Wonder Girl
She is a New Earth entry who was for the new Young Justice team. She is the daughter of Zeus and Dr. Helena Sandsmark. Here as Ares is Cassie’s half-brother and technically the father of the Amazon’s this means Cassie is Diana’s great-aunt.
Cassie as a girl was able to request a Boon of Zeus who she didn’t know was her father at the time I believe and demanded real superpowers. Her mother Helena was able to turn off Cassie’s superpowers at the start as well. Cassie was trained by Artemis for awhile. Cassie became Wonder Girl in honor of Donna Troy who handed over her old suit. Cassie joined Young Justice as a teenager and would later be on the Teen Titans. Cassie has become a part of the Core Four for Young Justice alongside Robin/Red Robin (Tim Drake), Superboy (Kon-El/Conner Kent), and Impulse (Bart Allen).
Cassie’s best friends outside of the core four are Supergirl (Kara Zor-El) and Cissie King-Jones (Arrowette). Cassie and Conner Kent used to date as well and she was in love with him before he died during Infinite Crisis.
On Prime Earth Cassie is the daughter of Lennox and the granddaughter of Zeus. In this version Diana is Cassie’s aunt not the other way around. Cassie is still a member of the Young Justice team here. I don’t exactly remember what was happening during the New52. She was still Cassie unlike Kon and Bart who’d been replaced. But during Rebirth she went with the other members of Young Justice to rescue Conner Kent from Gemworld. She is currently still a member of the Titans.
On New Earth as the daughter of Zeus, Cassie is an immortal who would not age further once she reached her prime age (like 27 or so). On Prime Earth as the granddaughter of Zeus and the daughter of Lennox Cassie’s life is extremely extended.
Artemis Grace:
Artemis of Bana-Mighdall comes from a separate group of Amazons not on Themyscira or Paradise Island. Bana-Mighdall is a tribe of Amazons in Egypt who left Greece millennia ago.
On New Earth Artemis left her home at 14 and wound up working for Ra’s Al Ghul before returning to her home. There was a competition to see who would be the next Wonder Woman as Hippolyta foresaw Wonder Woman die and wished to spare her daughter the fate. Hippolyta ensured Artemis won the competition. Artemis was shunned by most of the world including the Justice League who refused to see her as the true Wonder Woman. Artemis was also thought to be too violent. Artemis would later die in a battle with a demon fulfilling the prophecy of Wonder Woman dying.
Artemis got out of hell eventually and was given the job of training Cassie Sandsmark by Diana and would later train Supergirl in combat as well.
On Prime Earth Artemis was raised being told she would be Queen of the Amazons. She was desperate to prove herself and wanted to be the Shim’Tar of the Bana Amazons. Artemis’ best friend and lover Akila was chosen instead. Without Akila by her side Artemis felt her home had nothing left to offer and set out on her own. She helped stop an invasion of Qurac into Bana as well.
Artemis then joined the Outlaws and worked with Red Hood (Jason Todd) and Bizarro, a botched clone of Superman.
On New Earth Artemis had a greatly extended life span. On Prime Earth he Amazons were gifted immortality but those who left for Bana-Mighdall lost this gift so it is most likely that Artemis has the same extended lifespan from New Earth.
Grace Choi:
Grace on New Earth comes from the same group as Artemis in Bana-Mighdall. Grace’s mother is an Amazon but her father was a Korean American. Grace grew up in America in the foster care system. She ran away at 9 but was kidnapped and sold into a child prostitution ring. She managed to escape at age 12 after her powers kicked in. Grace began fightining both for pay and for fun and worked as a bouncer at a meta club in Metropolis.
Grace worked for the Outsiders for awhile at the request of Roy Harper an ex-fling and good friend of hers. She helped rescue Lian from the same child protsition ring she was in as a child and generally had lots of adventures with the Outsiders.
Later it was revealed she had Bana roots but Grace refused to join them as they were currently you know sieging down the US. Batman was briefly worried about her loyalties but Grace proved she had no loyalty or ties to the Bana Amazons.
Grace has returned to the Prime Earth in Infinite Frontier and in Festival of Heroes and it seems like nothing has changed with her so far.
Grace has increased longevity of her life. She is listed as half-amazon because only her mother is a Bana Amazon but all Amazons only have their mother who are Amazons so I don’t really see why she isn’t a full Amazon. Anyways increased life span.
Jason:
He is Diana’s twin on Prime Earth. He was sent away cause you know no men on Themyscira. Jason was raised by Glaucus who was a member of the Argonauts crew and worked under the original Jason of Greek Myth. Who Jason was named for.
Jason was raised on the Aegean Coast by Glaucus and became a Fisherman. Jason was trained in his youth by his half-brother Hercules.
Jason worked briefly with Diana but wasn’t sure how to be a hero. There was a period where Darksied’s daughter tricked him but Diana talked him down. And Jason saved Diana’s life during the Dark Metals event.
He is currently in the Dark Mutliverse living with a boyfriend on the Aegean Coast.
As the son of Zeus, Jason is an immortal.
⚔️ Also for fun the Weapons:⚔️
Lasso of Truth: Wielded by Diana Prince
Originally imbued with it’s power by Aphrodite and Athena later after crisis forged by Hephaestus and powered by Hestia, this lasso forces the truth from whoever it has ensnared. It is indestructible.
Lasso of Persuasion: Wielded by Donna Troy
This Lasso forces someone to do what the wielder demands. This requires Donna’s or whoever wields the lasso to have a stronger will then who they’re using the lasso on. It is indestructible.
Lasso of Lightning: Wielded by Cassie Sandsmark
This lasso was created by Ares and gifted to his half-sister Cassie Sandsmark on New Earth. This lasso channels Zeus’ lightning and can make someone experience intense rage if they are caught by the lasso. The power of the lasso is directly correlated to Cassie’s rage levels.
Lasso of Submission: Wielded by Artemis Grace
Originally from Earth-3 this lasso has the ability to make someone obey any commands even those to inspire false love. After Superwoman (Lois Lane) of Earth-3 was killed Diana took the lasso and gifted it to Artemis.
Bow of Ra: Wielded by Artemis Grace
The Bow of Ra was a gift from the Egyptian sun god, Ra to the Bana-Midghall Amazons. This bow goes to the Shim’Tar and forges a special bond with them. Those who are not the Shim’Tar cannot wield the bow and further if you are not a candidate to be a Shim’Tar the bow will harm or even kill you. The bow requires intense willpower to use or it can drive the wielder mad. Akila was driven mad with the power of the bow and had to be killed by Diana and Artemis. It is said to have the power to destroy stars so this bow is incredibly dangerous and powerful if not wielded by the right person.
(Bonus Donna used to use a lasso that was golden but held no specific magical properties.)

×MARTIAN AU×
It was April 1st and, according to plan, every hero from the Young Justice was present. Perfect.
It was hard, but Marinette and Tim managed to bring everyone together for the biggest prank in Young Justice history. Of course, their team mates didn't know that. Except Miss Martian. She found out by accident and they had to take her in, but it turned out to be the best decision ever.
It all began with a ghost story two months prior. They were already planning and Miss Martian was just brought in. They decided that it was the perfect moment to plant the seed of fear and doubt in their hearts.
It started out as an innocent game night. Most of their team was present except for Kaldur, Artemis, Wally and Bart. With conspiratorial looks, M'gann suggested watching a horror movie, saying that she didn't see one yet. The team agreed, suggesting a modern one with good graphics, as a good introduction to the genre. After the movie came to an end, M'gann snorted loudly, instantly attracting the attention of the team, without looking like it was her intention.
"What's the matter?" Asked Dick, grabbing the remote and stopping the movie at the credits. M'gann blushed.
"It's nothing, it's just... We had nursery rhymes scarier than this."
"Oh?" Demanded Superboy. "Do tell."
Tim and Marinette locked gazes when no one was looking and grinned maniacally.
"Well, there is a legend, which my brother told me, that kept me awake for months. The story itself is not that scary but the concept and the fact that it turned out to be real did a number on me."
And so the story began. It was a genuine Martian story but it was not real, as M'gann was claiming. It was about a being called a Raggan'aaz. A shadow being that walked Mars long before the Martians and dwelled in the caverns deep below the surface. They lived for long and wouldn't die of natural causes, only if killed. When the White and Green Martians came around, they were hunt down, but a few still remained. After that, hey craved Martian blood but they were also very careful and patient. After all, they wouldn't die because of old age. As years passed, they became a myth but still very alive in Martian culture. They even had a rhyme to remind the children to stay out of their supposed caverns, where people would still disappear. 'Stay, my child, away from dark/ Or The Martian will claim his mark/ Stay away from places long forbidden/ And beware the red eyes in darkness hidden.'
"Wait, you called him The Martian?" Asked Superboy, raising an eyebrow.
"Yes, they were supposed to be the first Martians. And so the title of The Martians came to the beasts. This is a translation from my language, Raggan'aaz is the original term. Now let me finish."
Raggan'aaz were predators. It was said that they would stalk their prey for weeks, months, some said even years, before engaging. The prey would even go insane by the time they were killed, drove into madness by the beasts whispers and taunts. They wanted to imbue the flesh of their victim with the taste of fear. Of terror. Once they had a target in mind, they would not let go until it was dead.
"It's not that scary." Dick said, grinning and crossing his arms.
"Maybe not for you, but our people tend to beware when they see red in the darkness, shadows with the corners of their eyes or hear whispers without anybody nearby."
"Maybe people were just going insane."
"Maybe." M'gann shrugged and stood up. "I'll go to sleep now, good night."
The team felt just a tad bit uneasy but they blamed that on the movie. They didn't know that it was Miss Martian, suggesting a little fear on the psychic link. Nothing serious. The three weren't planning on permanently scaring their team.
Since then, Marinette told Trixx, who was extatic, to create illusions around the base. They kept them out of missions, they didn't want to create real problems. The tamer were nothing much, a shadow, a pair of glowing red eyes that were visible just for a second here and there, the more unsettling ones were a few babbling but ominous sounding whispers in the halls at night. M'gann made sure to get each member alone when Trixx made the illusions, guiding the kwami while invisible. When Kaldur, Artemis, Bart and Wally mentioned these things, the tension in the team only grew tighter. By the time April 1st came around, the Young Justice believed that they were hunt down by a Raggan'aaz.
                               ...
"I think it's bullshit. Everything began after M'gann told you that goddamn story." Started Bart a month later, looking around.
"Look, it's nothing, maybe the story was a bit more unsettling than we thought it was. Now we are just seeing things that are not there." Dick countered, waving around a cookie.
"Maybe she's pranking us." Pointed Artemis, plopping on the sofa. Wally followed her, snuggling next to her.
"Yeah, no, she's cool and all but she's not a prankster." Said Wally dismissively.
Tim and Marinette were watching from the side, trying not to laugh. It was a stupid prank but that's why it would work. But they would need a fourth player. Someone that would be trusted about Martian information and that was usually serious enough to be believed about serious stuff. They needed J'onn J'onzz.
The three cornered him when he visited the base a few days later, away from the rest.
"We need your help." M'gann began, flashing a smile. After a few seconds J'onn frowned slightly. M'gann only smiled wider.
"It's one of the most ridiculous plans I've ever heard. How did three of the smartest heroes in here come up with it? And why?" Now M'gann was listening too. She got on board but didn't know why they wanted this.
"We need to get back at them from what they did six months ago."
"When they threw us in a panic room and didn't let us out until we confessed our feelings for each other." Tim smiled at Marinette, taking her in a side hug and kissing her on the head. She blushed a little and just snugged closer.
"It worked out for us, in the end, but we can't let that slide. This is war."
"And yes, it is a stupid plan and a very stupid prank but that's why it will work."
"They will expect something elaborate from us, so this is the way to go. They will not know what hit them."
J'onn considered for a few seconds. That may work. He wouldn't usually partake in such a childish endeavor but he was curious about the outcome. The Raggan'aaz were mere folklore but they were terrifying, especially for Martian children. Human children may be just the same.
"Very well. I am curious about the outcome. What do you need me to do?"
The fearsome trio smirked. This would be epic.
After they briefed J'onn and set the date, a week from then, and dispersed. Tim couldn't believe that they convinced J'onn to do it, Marinette was thrilled about it and M'gann was giggling like an idiot.
A week later, J'onn J'onzz stumbled from the zeta tube, disheveled and clearly unsettled but otherwise not obviously harmed. He was clutching his side and he was limping but that was it.
"What the hell happened?" Dick was the first one to get to J'onn, helping him on a chair.
"I... Am not quite sure myself." He turned his eyes to M'gann, who was checking him for injures, playing her role flawlessly. "If I didn't know better I would have said it was a Raggan'aaz."
Bart dropped his phone, Kaldur and Artemis flinched, Superboy whipped his head around, until then being in a conversation with Dick, who looked queasy. The rest of the team had varying reactions.
"Bullshit." Blurted Artemis.
"It's real?!" Screamed Marinette, looking at M'gann, who was now becoming more pale by the second. With a little help from her powers.
"I told you it was real!"
"We thought it was just a crazy legend! What the hell?" Screamed Wally pulling at his hair.
The team was now full in full hysterics.
"I think you summoned it." Said Garfield in a matter of factly tone.
"What is that?" Asked J'onn with a neutral tone, but with a hint of concern. He was good.
"The Martian, Raggan'aaz, he's been prowling around this place for weeks. I didn't actually think it was one of the beasts, I told the team the story just because I saw some things that reminded me of them and thought it would be funny. It didn't pass my mind that an actual Raggan'aaz would be on earth. I think he was looking for you. How did you even escape him?" Asked M'gann, now breathing hard.
That was something that they came up with a few days ago, when they were brainstorming ideas to make the story more believable. J'onn approved when they talked after, seemingly stoic as ever, but M'gann told them that he will be definitely laughing after the call ended.
"I don't think I was his actual prey, otherwise I wouldn't have had a chance. I think is someone else, but I wouldn't be surprised if he tried a second time."
"We have to tell the Justice League, this is bad." Now Nightwing looked alarmed.
"Calm down. We are not 100% sure this is a Raggan'aaz. Maybe M'gann's story is getting to your heads. My encounter may have been a misunderstanding, it would not be the first time another Martian impersonated a Raggan'aaz. I will investigate the situation but I advise you to be vigilant."
That seemed to calm the team down, if only for a bit. Tim was hugging Marinette, his face hidden in her hair to hide his smile. He could feel her smile too in his chest. M'gann was keeping it together very well, talking with J'onn in hushed tones as she led him to the zeta tubes. Tim was now looking at Superboy, who looked uneasy. He was listening. Good. Let him fan the flames. The asshole was the one to throw them in the panic room.
April 1st, The Young Justice Base of Operation
The team was tense and paranoid but not very much above the normal level. All the heroes were tense and paranoid most of the time.
There have been no sightings of the Raggan'aaz since J'onn has been 'attacked' but no one feels out of the hook yet. They have been questioning M'gann relentlessly but she quite enjoyed sharing bits of her culture, all real facts that could be woven easily into the lie but would stand on their own when the prank was done. She liked her small victories.
As they planned, the team was afraid but not so afraid that it would start affecting them or that they would feel the need to further consult with the League about it. Martian Manhunter knew so the others must know too, or so the youngsters assumed.
In the morning something could be felt in the air, besides the smell of pancakes. It was a bit of Trixx's and Plagg's magic, a bit of mischief sprinkled in the air.
Tim, M'gann and Marinette were in the kitchen that morning, nothing unusual. Marinette and M'gann were making pancakes and Tim was drinking his much needed coffee. He had to be wide awake. They already bugged the whole base but nothing can beat the real thing.
As the team was lured into the kitchen, the Raggan'aaz made his appearance.
"I'm smelling Dupain-Cheng pancakes. This is the best 'Welcome back after 6 months in space' gift I could have hoped for." Adrien was practically skipping in the kitchen, stealing one of the plates. He then drowned them in syrup and whipping cream.
"Jesus Christ Adrien, stop, you'll get sick."
"Worth it."
"You came back a week ago. I've made pancakes then."
"Did you hear what I said? 6 months. I'm planning on making up for the lost time."
"I'm heading for the gym. Feel free to join me." Tim said, kissing Marinette. She giggled and winked.
The others either cooed or made gagging sounds. Adrien was grinning. He was the main Timari shipper. A few seconds after Tim left, there was screaming in the hall. Perfect timing.
When they saw the scene in the hall, the team freezed. There, before Tim, was something resembling a White Martian, but only in form. His skin was a dark red riddled with black veins, long white claws, a mouth full of gleaming yellow teeth and red eyes that looked like they could set you on fire. The beast almost reached 10 feet, but hen it went on all fours. Trixx had really outdone herself. Tim had his Bo staff out but kept his distance. After all, the illusion would fall as soon as they touched him so they had to make the most of it.
"What the hell is that?!" Screamed Adrien calling for his transformation. Nobody saw Plagg's grin.
"Raggan'aaz." Said Nightwing, pulling out his escrima sticks. They cracked with electricity. He looked ready to puke.
Artemis was swearing along with Wally, Kaldur looked like he might run, Garfield turned into a rhyno, looking terrified but ready to punce.
The beast groweled something that made M'gann gasp.
"He said that his mark is on all of us. We are his prey."
It was all they needed to attack. The speedsters tried to get to him first but the thing was just as fast, if not faster. After all, it didn't obey any laws of physics, it was just an illusion. Marinette was already transformed but she, M'gann and Tim were sitting on the sides looking like they were waiting for an opening. When it almost got cornered the Raggan'aaz jumped on the ceiling and then out of the room. With a battle cry, the team followed it. The three stayed behind, not trusting themselves to not laugh. There were a lot of screams and thuds but after a few minutes it went quiet.
When the young heroes strolled in, with the most betrayed faces they have ever seen, the three burst out laughing. They couldn't even speak for a few minutes.
"Was any of it true?" Asked Nightwing with his 'dissapointed big brother' face™.
"Only the story." Said M'gann gasping for air.
"How did you get J'onn on it?"
"Pretty easy actually, he didn't have that much to do so he agreed. It helps to be among his favorites." Replied Tim grinning. He was still clinging to a giggling Marinette.
"Why?" Asked Adrien with a pained look on his face.
" Panic room." The couple said at the same time.
"But that worked out!" Adrien shouted indignated.
"It did, but this was war. We needed to retaliate."
The Justice League heard about the war from J'onn after it was done and they thoroughly enjoyed the clips Tim sent them. They unanimously decided to not cross Tim and Marinette. The two could conquer the world if they weren't so sleep deprived.
Ok, so this was written at 3 AM and there might be some inconsistencies but please enjoy my best shot at this prompt.
This is set after season 2 of Young Justice and before season 3 but Wally is still alive because he never died in my heart.
This came later than I would've liked but civilian lives are a pain.

A/N: I did not specify if Wally and Y/N are biological or adopted siblings, so that part is entirely left up to you and how you want to interpret it.
Tumblr media
“Come on Y/N, just come with me. It’ll be fun!” Wally protested, pulling on your arm.
You rolled your eyes and looked up at your older brother, for the last hour he had been trying to convince you to go to a team party with him but all you wanted to do was sit and read the newest book in your favorite series. It had just recently come out and you were more than excited, but of course, Wally had other plans.
“Why can’t you just ask Dick to go with you?” you brushed him off, turning to look at your book once more.
“He already is, but I want to introduce my little sister to the rest of the team. They know literally everything about you but what you look like. You come this one time and I will never ask you again for as long as I live.” He pleaded, dashing over to look at you.
Wally did have a point, the only people you had actually met on the team were Dick, Conner, M’gann, and Artemis considering they were all close friends with Wally. You knew Dick had younger brothers, but you had never met them let alone knew what they looked like. Dick and Wally were the worst when they were together, normally where you found one, nine times out of ten the other was with them causing trouble and giving Bruce and Barry gray hairs.
There was even a space for you on the team, considering the fact that you had similar powers to that of Wally and Barry but the hero life was never for you. It wasn’t that you didn’t want to help others but Barry was stressed enough with just Wally and Bart; adding you to the mix was an accident waiting to happen. Besides, you were the slowest of them all and didn’t want to hold anyone back. Both Wally and Barry respected your decision, but Bart never stopped bugging you to join.
“Wally, you and I both know that if I go to one, it will turn into every single one, and before I know it one of you has managed to rope me into joining the team.” You closed your book and crossed your arms, “I know the schemes you and Dick come up with, you really think you could pull this one past me?”
Wally gave you a shrug. “Maybe, but please? I want you to meet everyone else.”
After a few more moments of contemplating, you finally let out a sigh and dropped your head. “Fine, I will go to this one! But I swear if you try anything funny, I will punch you into the next century.” You threatened.
“Oh, come on, you and I both know you can’t do that.” Wally teased, poking your forehead only for you to flick his nose. “You aren’t fast enough for it.”
“No, but Barry is.”
Wally seemed to take that threat semi-serious, he got up with a huge smile on his face. “I swear, you will not regret coming to this!” he laughed and sped off to his room to call Dick and let him know that their plan was a go.
It was a couple of hours until the party but Wally spent most of it making sure that you were good to go. He was oddly concerned with what you were wearing, and how your hair looked. It should have raised red flags all over the place, but you brushed it off as Wally just being his over-analytical self.
Before you knew it, the two of you were standing outside the zeta tube in Central City ready to go to Mt. Justice for the party that was being hosted as a celebration for one of the team’s biggest cases completed.
Recognized -Kid Flash B03, -Velocity B032
The two of you didn’t even make it in the cave before Wally was dragged into a hug by his best friend. “You guys made it! Velocity, good to see you.” He grinned and hugged you tightly as well.
“Dick, I don’t go by Velocity you know that.” You chuckled hugging him back.
“If you don’t go by Velocity, then why is it there?” a voice asked from behind him. Conner and M’gann walked up to you with a smile on their face.
You crossed your arms and gave them both a look. “You all know very well why it’s there and not my name.”
Wally and Dick rubbed the back of their necks with a suspicious look on their faces. “We have no idea what you are talking about Y/N, but either way I’m glad you decided to come. There are so many people who want to meet Wally’s famous sister.”
The four of them ushered you further into the cave where there were dozens of people there standing around, talking, and eating the many snacks M’gann had made. Most people were in their civies as well, the few who weren’t wore either glasses or their masks to hide their identity.
Taking a look around, you remembered the last time you were in the cave. It was the day that you got the nickname Velocity, but tried to push it to the back of your mind as Dick and Wally specifically maneuvered you towards the snack table.
“Make yourself at home, we’ll be right back,” Dick said and walked off with Wally right behind him.
“Don’t you move.” Wally threatened and followed his friend before disappearing into the crowd, leaving you alone at the snack table.
It was at this point you regretted coming to the party, your brother and the only people you knew ditched you at the snack table so you did the only thing you could. Gorge yourself on the delectable treats in front of you. Grabbing a plate, you put a little bit of everything that could fit on your plate. Your appetite was quite large, but it was your metabolism trying to keep up with the speeds your body could handle. The only person you had seen eat more than you was Wally; he was like a human garbage disposal.
You were snacking on a cherry tart when you heard someone stand beside you. Looking to your left, you saw a boy with messy black hair and the brightest blue eyes you had ever seen. He was only a bit taller than you and had his arms crossed over his chest with a disheveled look on his face as if he was forced to walk over.
Before he could catch you looking, you quickly turned your head and finished the tart in your hand.
“You should try the apple ones, they’re the best.” He said softly.
Turning to look at him, a small smile spread on your face. “I don’t know, I’m pretty attached to the cherry.”
The boy chuckled and held out his hand. “I’m Tim, Dick is my older brother.”
You took his in your own and shook it. “Y/N, Wally is mine.” you smiled.
“I figured, you’re all he seems to talk about.” Tim smiled, leaning against the table to look at you.
“Oh really? How many embarrassing stories should I be worried that everyone knows about?” you asked, finishing your cherry tart.
Tim laughed at your question. “None so far, all he says is how cool you are and that he is proud of you.”
Hearing those words made you smile more, maybe Wally wasn’t such a terrible big brother. “I’m proud of him too, putting himself out there to help those who can’t protect themselves every day. It’s not easy, and Wally loves it more than anything.” You explained, reaching for an apple tart and taking a bite of it.
“You’re right, these are good.” You smiled.
“I told you.” He grinned. “But you have the same powers, so why don’t you fight with him and the team?” Tim asked, tilting his head as he took a cherry tart off of your plate.
You tried to swat his hand away with a laugh only for him to stay out of reach and take a bite.
“I prefer to stay out of the action, I’m not as fast as Barry, Wally, or Bart. I’d only slow them down, and worry them more, so I’ve taken up an internship with Iris and journalism and help keep people’s noses out of their identities.” You explained, looking around. “But that does not stop them, especially Bart. Every time I see him, he brings out the suit Barry had made for me and makes a big deal about asking every chance he gets.”
Your eye caught sight of Wally and he was talking to Artemis, with Dick at his side. They seemed to be talking in hushed whispers about something and gesturing towards your location but things weren’t adding up. Before you could even voice your concern, or mention it to Tim you saw a blur out of the corner of your eye.
“Speaking of which.” You quickly set your plate down and grabbed Tim’s hand and took off down the hall to get away from Bart. You loved him to death, but this kid had an exuberant amount of energy that rivaled Wally’s and this was the last thing you wanted.
“Y/N!” you heard Bart call from behind you, only making you pick up the pace a little.
You could have run faster to get away from him, but for some reason, you grabbed hold of Tim and drug him along with you. It limited your speed and you felt him tug on your hand.
“Here, this way.” He said and opened a door and quickly shoved the two of you in, quietly shutting it behind you.
The two of you hid in the dark closet, Tim’s ear pressed against the door as he listened for Bart’s steps to fade away. Somehow the two of you had outrun him and hid before he could actually find you. A couple minutes passed before you let out the breath you had been holding.
“Thanks for that.” You smiled, blinking as your eyes adjusted to the darkness. It had only just dawned on you exactly where you were, and how small the room was. “Tim, did you just shove us in a broom closet?”
Tim rubbed the back of his head. “It was the closest place we could hide, I figured from the way you took off that you didn’t want to deal with him asking you questions.” He looked around, before reaching for the door. “I think it’s safe to come out.” He said and pulled on the handle, only for it to not budge.
“Tim, why is the door not opening?” you asked.
“Uh, it’s locked.”
“It’s what?”
“It’s locked.” He repeated.
You ran a hand through your hair and let out a sigh. “How are we locked in here? Does it unlock from the outside only?”
“It seems so, and I don’t have my utility belt or I could totally get us out of here.” He responded and pulled out his phone, using the light to look around. You had left yours with Wally because the outfit you were wearing did not have any pockets.
“I have no service in here either, so it looks like we just have to wait it out.” He sighed and sat on a box, you sitting on one leaned against the opposite wall. The closet was big enough that you were comfortable, but your knees were touching and you were crowded by various items.
“It’s never a dull time with you bats.” You chuckled, leaning your arms on your thighs.
“I could say the same thing about you speedsters.” Tim teased. “Between you, Wally, and Bart, someone is always laughing and having a good time.”
You tilted your head at his comment. “We’ve never met before tonight; how do you know I always make people laugh?”
Tim was thankful for the darkness of the room; you didn’t get to see the slight blush creeping up on his face. “Wally and Bart talk about you all the time, every story they tell has at least one person in tears laughing.”
Your face began to heat up as well, with you tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. “Well, life is too short with this occupation. What better way to live it than to make others laugh right?”
Tim laughed softly and looked at you with his blue eyes illuminated by the soft glow coming from his phone. “Yeah, you never know what day will be your last so might as well live it the way you want to, right?”
The tone in his voice seemed to change with those last few words. Tim had known about you for a while and even harbored a slight crush from the pictures Dick would show him of you and Wally. But seeing you in reality, was something different entirely; the way your eyes shone when you talked about your family and running made him fall even harder. Sure, you weren’t a public hero like your brother or uncle, but you were still a speedster and running was in your blood.
Slowly his hand reached over and took yours, keeping his touch light and soft. The last thing he wanted to do was scare you off, or make you think he was some kind of weirdo. But the second you tightened your grip on his hand, his heart fluttered.
“I have to be honest; I did not want to come to this stupid party, and getting locked in a closet was not on my list. But I am glad that it's with you.” You smiled, looking at your entwined hands.
His fingers were long but calloused. It showed the hard work he put into his title of Robin, but no matter how rough they were his touch was soft. He gripped your hand in his and looked at you. You had only met him that night, but there was something that pulled you towards him. Maybe it was the fact that he understood what it was like to have a big brother’s legacy to live up to or the simple fact that he understood that you didn’t want to join the hero scene. Whatever it was, it seemed to pull him towards you as well.
Before you knew it, his face was right in front of yours and you could feel his warm breath fan over your face. One inch closer and your lips would be on his, and your eyes locked with his. Tim’s hand left yours as he cupped your cheek with both hands, threading his fingers through your hair slightly.
The magnetic pull only got stronger as you leaned in closer, your eyes fluttering shut as his lips brushed against yours. His lashes tickled the skin on your cheeks as Tim kissed you fully, leaning into it to feel it closer.
The kiss itself only lasted a few seconds before he pulled back and looked at you, his eyes shining with something you couldn’t decipher.
“You taste like cherry tart.” Tim gave a lopsided grin, savoring the taste of your lips on his own.
“I am definitely glad I am stuck in a closet with you now.” You grinned, wrapping your arms around his shoulders, and kissed Tim once more. His hands held your waist as he pulled you onto his lap to bring you closer to his body.
This kiss lasted longer than the first one, but not by much. Before either of you could react, the door to the closet swung open as light flooded into the room. You let out a squeak and jumped off Tim’s lap and landed on the floor with a thud.
Looking up, you saw Dick standing there with his arms crossed and an amused expression on his face. “Having fun, you two?” he teased.
Tim’s face flushed darker as you glared at Dick from your spot on the floor.
“Hey, Wally! I found her!” he called. Within seconds, Wally was next to Dick and peeking into the closet and saw your current position.
“You know, when we planned on setting you two up, we did not mean for you to make out in a dark closet.” He grinned.
“Wally!” you snapped and got up and dove at him quickly, Wally speeding out of the way. It all clicked why they wanted you to come to the party so bad and Wally’s sudden interest in what you wore out of the house. He was trying to set you up with Dick’s little brother.
Knowing that he was in trouble, Wally took off down the hall with you right behind him zooming through the cave as you tried to catch him. The night ended with Wally nursing a large bruise on his shoulder and you and Tim exchanging numbers and planning your first official date of many yet to come.

Chapter 2: u guys r moding my night :(
There was chaos in the Wayne Manor. This was nothing unusual, of course, and today it even seemed to be surprisingly tame. But it was chaos nonetheless.
Timothy Drake-Wayne careened down the spiral staircase, catching himself with a well-timed front flip handspring, and skidded to a halt in the kitchen. Alfred briefly paused to look up from where he was preparing dough for a batch of homemade pasta, then offered the boy a smile and a greeting.
“Good evening, Master Drake. Dinner won’t be ready for another half-hour, I’m afraid.” Tim had opened his mouth to reply when a growl echoed from the nearby ballroom.
Jason Todd-Wayne sprinted into the kitchen brandishing a nerf gun. “There you are, replacement. You won’t get away with beating me this time.” He pulled back the reloader of the play-gun, making a threatening click ring through the kitchen.
“I’m afraid you are both late to the party,” Alfred calmly announced as he mixed ingredients together. “Miss Cain has been here for the past five minutes.”
Cass Cain-Wayne indeed poked her head out from where she had been perched beneath the bar. She gave her brothers a shit-eating grin and wiggled her fingers as way of a cheeky greeting.
Tim gave a groan as he and Jason begrudgingly handed some money over to their sister. “She cheats.” Cass stuck her tongue out at that. “Besides, racing you here was just an excuse to get my mind off waiting for midnight.”
“And because Alfred is the only one polite enough to actually listen to you rave about that stupid game,” Jason scoffed, sitting down at the bar to watch Alfred work.
“--thought I heard voices in the kitchen, oh there you are, little wing!” Dick Grayson-Wayne’s cheery voice came from the foyer, increasing in pitch as he spotted Jason and swept him up into a tight hug.
Barbara Gordon wheeled herself in not too long after, chuckling at the squirming Jason and delighted older brother.
Meanwhile Tim, who had taken offense to Jason’s insinuation, was reassuring Alfred that if he wanted the boys to leave him be he only ever had to ask. “It’s just that I’m so excited for the launch tonight, and you know B is too busy to hear about it.”
Jason had finally muscled his way out of Dick’s embrace as the latter’s attention focused on his youngest brother. “What launch are you talking about?” Dick asked, giving Cass a side hug.
“Oh, tonight is the release of this new VRMMORPG game called Mindscape!” Tim practically bounced as Dick came over to give him his hug too.
Dick gave Barbara a confused glance. “I know some of those words,” he nodded slowly. “So what’s got you so excited? Video games come out all the time.”
Tim rolled his eyes as he sat down beside Jason on the barstools. “Well yeah, but this game has groundbreaking virtual reality tech. Supposedly, the textures took five years and a team of almost 1000 artists.”
Jason put Tim into a headlock and said casually, “I’m surprised you haven’t heard replacement talking about this yet. He kinda won’t shut up about it.”
Cass nodded her head in solemn agreement while Tim struggled to get out of Jason’s grasp.
“Such are the woes of moving out.” Dick shrugged. “Sounds crash though, got room for one more?”
Tim finally shoved Jason off. “I actually bought enough passes that we can all play if you want,” he gave each of his siblings the biggest puppy-dog eyes he could manage.
Barbara snorted even as Dick pumped his fist in the air beside her. She wheeled herself up to the bar to pinch Jason, who was poised to jab his fingers into Tim’s sides. Jason yelped and glared at her as she said, “Sorry Timmy, I’d rather let someone else be the guinea pig for this new kind of tech. Besides, Dad will worry if I let myself get sucked into pouring too many hours into this.”
“Papa Gordon is a force to be reckoned with,” Dick attested earnestly. “Jay?” he prompted.
“Absolutely not,” Jason answered immediately. Tim was quick to protest. “But why? We could spend more time together! It’ll be good team-building.” Jason’s face soured at that.
Dick leaned in and stage-whispered, “Do I have to tell B to force you into family bonding? You know he’ll make you do it.”
Cass covered her silently laughing mouth with one hand as Jason threw his hands up in the air. “Fine, don’t get Bruce involved. I’ll play your stupid game,” he finally relented. Tim grinned at his win, then cast a hopeful look at Cass.
She pulled a face and signed No thank you. Better things to do than watch VR pornos.
Tim’s face blushed profusely as he opened his mouth to protest, but was cut off by Jason’s cackling. Even Alfred cracked a smile while he rolled the dough onto the ravioli press.
Once Jason quieted down, Tim crossed his arms and said, “Suit yourself. Looks like it’ll be no-girls-allowed anyway.”
“Guess we’d better tell Cassie that, Timbo,” Dick wiggled his eyebrows suggestively, which Tim elected to ignore.
“Speaking of suits,” Alfred said while seamlessly spreading filling in the ravioli and placing another sheet on top of the press, “aren’t you boys going to miss the premiere if it is indeed at midnight?”
Tim looked imploringly at the two girls. “You wouldn’t be willing to trade shifts for your favorite brother, would you?”
* * *
Wally West strolled out of the zeta tube and into the Justice League’s satellite, known to himself and the other heroes as The Watchtower. He was dressed in a casual NASA t-shirt and jeans, slurping a smoothie, and playing a game on his phone.
The sound of someone clearing their throat made him look up. He was greeted with the sight of his old team, Aqualad, Superboy, Miss Martian, Rocket, Zatanna, and Artemis, waiting impatiently. They were dressed in full hero attire-- he didn’t even realize Artemis still had her costume-- and looked to him expectantly.
“Hey guys, what’s poppin’?” Wally grinned and gave his friends a lazy chin jerk.
“‘What’s poppin’?’ Babe, are you serious? You told us to meet here ASAP for an emergency. So you can tell us what exactly is ‘poppin’.” Ah yes, his Spitfire. Artemis Crock still wasn’t afraid to give him a piece of her mind. But this time it looked like everyone else was on her side too, as they nodded in agreement with her emphatic air quotes.
“Oh, uh yeah, Mindscape is coming out tonight!” He set his smoothie down on the table. “I got us all passes and I’m super stoked for the launch. It’s got this super cool new VR tech that’s basically being released for the first time ever. I got the equipment through my internship, so we’re all set! You guys are totally coming right?” He made finger guns at his increasingly exasperated friends.
Artemis facepalmed. Kaldur’ahm raised his eyebrows in that I’m disappointed in you but I’m not going to say it way of his and said, “Wally, with you and Artemis retired from the life, understand that we took this to be a literal emergency and rushed to your aid. Do not abuse our good intentions.”
“Seriously West, I have a lot on my plate right now!” Rochelle Ervin was also, apparently, a little upset with him. “You could’ve said it was about a dumb game.”
The speedster tried to do damage control with some lighthearted humor. “Hey guys, stay whelmed. I get it, I probably should have given a few more deets about this very-much-not-dumb game, but do you know how many candy bars I had to eat to win these passes?”
“This is why you’ve been spending so much on junk food?” Oh, he was in big trouble with Artemis now. “You probably didn’t have to eat all of them, babe.”
M’gann M’orzz, Connor Kent, and Zatanna Zatara looked similarly annoyed. Well, the girls did. Connor just looked like his usual brand of annoyed, which was honestly a small victory.
“So...” Wally felt a little sheepish now, “who wants in?”
The rest of the group exchanged a look. Artemis was the first to speak up. “Well, you’ve already invested too much of our money in this to turn back now.” She walked up to him and poked a finger at his chest. “But you owe me so many dinners for this.”
He grinned triumphantly. “Deal!”
Rochelle spoke up next. “Me and my plate don’t need any more helpings, thank you very much. I’ll see y’all at the next team reunion!” She flew out through the zeta tube.
Kaldur clapped him on the shoulder. “If you need any assistance, I will be there. But for now I am running Atlantis in Aquaman’s stead while he is off-world, and I must return to my duties.” He then bid the rest of the team farewell and stepped through the zeta tube.
“Haha, he said ‘duties.’” Wally said once he’d left, then winced as Artemis smacked his arm lightly. Lightly for her. Rubbing his arm, he looked imploringly at his other friends.
M’gann and Conner looked deep in a telepathic conversation, which was just awkwardly intense eye contact for onlookers. Zatanna crossed her arms and sighed, “Fine, why not. I didn’t have plans for the weekend anyway. Lead the way to your chocolate factory, Charlie.”
Connor, having caught the tail end of the conversation, looked confused at the reference. He shrugged and said, “I’m in, could be fun.”
M’gann gave her friends an apologetic smile. “Sorry guys, my uncle needs help back on Mars. There’s tensions between the white and green martians again, and he really needs me there to get it under control.”
She gave Connor a peck on the cheek and left to board the nearby Bioship.
“And then there were four,” Wally said with a smile. “Now let’s go make you guys some avatars!”

Bart Allen could hardly contain his excitement. Scratch that, he couldn’t contain his excitement! “Bouncing off the walls” may be an exaggeration for most people, but he was not most people. Being the grandson of The Flash certainly had its perks, and being able to literally bounce off the walls was one of them.
The cause of his excitement, his friends Timothy Drake-Wayne and Wally West, had just called to ask if Bart wanted extra passes to the premiere of the biggest video game of the decade. And uh, yeah duh he wanted them! He already had one he’d bought for himself, but bringing four extra friends? So totally crash.
He opened up his phone and pulled up the group chat titled Badass Babes.
CrashBandicoot: hey bitchez n babez (u kno who u r), u ready 4 the best videogame of the yr to drop?!
BlueMenace: ese, do you HAVE to type like that?
WonderBabe: yea it’s super annoying
CrashBandicoot: gtta go fast babez
CrashBandicoot: now answer the question
GreenMenace: oh i heard about that! mindscape, right? isn’t it some vr game
CrashBandicoot: yes! nd i got extra tix, so come ovr to cave
GirlBoss: No can do, got research tomorrow!
MaleWife: you always have research bae. sorry little speedster, gotta drive the lady to work
CrashBandicoot: u guys r moding my night :(
BlueMenace: totally not a word but I’ve got you cariño, be there in an hour
WonderBabe: ah what the heck, I’ve got nothing better to do
GreenMenace: always down to whoop ur ass in video games
CrashBandicoot: u wish
CrashBandicoot: roy?
Ginger1 is typing...
WonderBabe: it’ll be fun! more ~mingling~ with kids our age
Ginger2: Hold on, give him some time
Ginger1 is typing...
BlueMenace: Roy, I can pick you up on my way in if you want
Ginger1 has stopped typing.
Ginger2: Um, he says he’ll meet you guys there
Ginger2: He may have destroyed his phone with his “non-typing” hand
GreenMenace: pog
WonderBabe: see u guys soon!
Bart pumped his fist, then ran at top speed to his boyfriend Jaime’s house, where it looked like he was doing homework. Seriously, on a Friday night? Bart had absolutely no qualms about whisking him into his arms and making for the nearest zeta tube.
“Woah Bart, I said I needed an hour!” Jaime protested.
Bart rolled his eyes. “Yeah, but you definitely don’t have anything due tonight, and we have to make your character online before the launch!”
Jaime just looked resigned as they sped into the zeta tube. He knew what he had signed up for.

I would love to hear your thoughts on YJS3
sure! fair warning, though, I'm a ranty person by nature so this might end up being a bit long. sorry in advance ♡
anyway! things I liked:
the humor: s3 was pretty funny lmao, theres that whole collection of outta pocket scenes from throughout the season that I find hilarious each time + the humor was a little more dirty which is nice bc the audience has also grown up from the kids they might've been when they watched it on CN
dickbabs!: I'm not a huge fan of dickbabs, I prefer dickkory (no hate to dickbabs stans btw I just vibe more with dickkory) but this dynamic between the two of them was so sweet and well-balanced I couldnt help but squeal everytime they were on-screen
Clark and Conner getting along: them calling each other brothers was so CUTE I canttt
FORAGER: an absolute legend 10/10 freaking love him
That Episode With The Hallucination: mmmmmmm I miss wally. SO MUCH. and the og 6 I was Super Mad about the first timeskip so it was nice to see them all together again🥰
yeah that's about it for things I liked lmao. now time for the Much Longer list of Things I Hated:
HALO: young justice the bar was so fucking low how are you still successfully doing the limbo what the fuck. you take a muslim immigrant in what is VERY CLEARLY a hijab and 1. infantilize her to an exceptionally uncomfortable degree (I KNOW SHE WAS THE MOTHERBOX, I DONT CARE) to the point where she resembles a five-year-old with every sentence she speaks or action she takes 2. you made a visibly muslim girl claim that she's actually no longer muslim, she's just wearing the hijab as some kind of security blanket???? I'm sorry??? what the fuck were you aiming for here exactly 3. why did you have to name her violet harper. what. 4. really?? the immediate romance with brion? What the shit was up with that...you make her Muslim in some aspects like victor not seeing her hair when she brushes it but her LITERALLY making out with brion like I'm sorry what the fuck are you doing??? you had one muslim character and you fucked up so bad holy shit...like...it could've been simple as hell, man, but no...Big Yikes.
M'gann: I've said this before but I really feel like once they introduced artemis m'gann immediately became a side character whose only job is to be villainised again and again even though it doesn't really vibe with her character. Secret teams?? Lying to Conner??? This isn't s3 but that whole thing with their breakup in s2...what the shit are they doing to M'gann, man. I loved her so much in s1, she's literally trying her best after having gone through so much and it's never fully explored...like we get half explanations every season but we're never shown half the shit that we were given for artemis. And by making her the Uncool Girlfriend at points it just looks like they're trying make her easy to hate like what the fuck. no. stop it
The Plot: too overcomplicated, too many characters. It's only season three, why are you introducing Apokolips already. Why are there so many characters?? what's with all the subplots yall were switching location cards every five minutes. And it's so convoluted...like...what was going on with Beast Boy and the monkey-god-doom-patrol-exposition stuff? I can't even remember if there were two granny goodnesses or just the one. All of those meta kids left over from the last season are a cute cast but like...I was so bored??? we know you can do well-written self-contained storylines a la s1, so hop to it, yeah?
THE ANIMATION: ok ok ok so. season 1 and two (one especially) had a very distinct feeling to them and that feeling was very late-2000s Cartoon Network Action Show - the base model for the males and females is the same (like Ben 10 Alien Force) the colors were not dynamic (stayed the same no matter the lighting, lots of cel shading, and generally were realistically colored in the sense that suspension of disbelief was not entirely necessary) CHEEKBONES, gritty textures and purple skies (Batman the Brave and the Bold). overall theres a certain Tone to the earlier seasons that spoke a lot to the animation capabilities of the studios at the time, as well as the general feel of the show. however, season three was a MAJOR downgrade in terms of animation. they made it both simpler and more complicated - they started using their DCAMU animation style which while it does give muscles to the women, adds too many unneeded shadows and a strange stiffness and dullness to every character. There are now extra lines and uncessesary shadows on the face of every character, and their eyes and facial features are almost identical. There's also less highlights, and the hairstyles are way too overcomplicated now to be appealing (see mgann and dick) - the hair is unspeakably dull and and the skin tones and hair colors are painful on the eyes. This isn't even taking into account the shitty backgrounds they've started using (AHEM AHEM ARTEMIS'S KITCHEN) because while the earlier seasons may have had unappealing, mostly empty settings, the characters still fit in to the scene, unlike now.
the lack of sisterhood????: apparently, only artemis goes to see zatanna for her Dr. Fate appointments. Apparently, M'gann barely talks to Artemis after the very tragic apparent death of Wally. the two of them, dare I say even the THREE of them, should be close as hell considering they spent their early years super-heroing together on a team full of boys. M'gann LITERALLY called Artemis her sister in the SAME EPISODE she was introduced, and neither of them had any real girlfriends other than each other at this point. M'gann who fell apart so hard Artemis died in her head that she almost killed them all in her grief. Like. You're telling me, you're SHOWING me that these two aren't each other's support system? Where is the sisterhood, bitch????
Lastly: the costume design. I understand that they're constrained by the need to make it simple enough to animate, but COME ON. if you're going to borrow Diana's DCAMU/JL: War costume, at least keep the metal silver. What the fuck is that green-gold. And Tigress? god DAMN that mask is ugly. Cassie looks like she robbed a goddamn supermarket discount clothing aisle for her outfit. Why is bart's outfit Like That it's so ugly it makes me want to cry. @ young justice costume designers Please Rethink Your Decisions
that's about all I can think of right now. it got REALLY negative whoops, but theres just so much I didn't like about this season :/ hopefully the next one will better ;-;
