Hi! I just want to say, thanks for existing :D. Before I found you I was struggling SO MUCH with micro labels and stuff, trying to figure out what fit me. Then I found you and saw how many people just… don’t care about fitting in a label, and it made me feel much better about myself! :) I stopped really worrying about WHAT I was or WHO I was or WHERE I landed on the broad spectrum of aromantism and asexualality and just decided that I’m just me. I’m aromantic but I feel romantic attraction sometimes and that’s okay. I’m asexual but my mood towards sex changes a lot. That’s okay! I’m me, and that’s really all I have to be. during Christmas I was playing apples to apples with my family and one of my cousins brought up how she watched our flag means death (because one of the cards that she had to decide from was pirates) and so we talked about it for a little bit and then when it was time for me to judge she played SAME-SEX MARRIAGE

I think there is a discussion to be had about how we talk about feelings of attraction in society

i mean the fact that there is no set definition for Asexual because there is no set definition for "sexual attraction" is absolutely fair because we have tasked people with defining something that they themselves do not experience. and people who DO experience it seem unwilling to chip in and clear things up!!! stop being so vague with how sexual/romantic attraction is supposed to feel!

and i do think there's something to be said about people needing to thoroughly examine their feelings in order to fully understand them, even with therapy, because the lines between feelings and physical sensations can be very blurry. but I keep seeing things like "oh i never knew that when people say somebody is hot it's because the sexual attraction is making them feel physically warm" and a million comments of people getting their minds blown when...that is such a wild statement!!! like who said that??, come on now y'all all I feel like ppl who experience sexual and romantic attraction need to clear up some shit. don't let these poor souls believe you start sweating every time u wanna kiss someone
