Watch me make an Arcane AU for the Shane Sibs

Totally not because I've been seeing clips and thus my interest in making this au resurfaced and came full force.

Long post prolly so watch me cook below the cut haha

First thoughts

Eli — Vi

Man's going to prison and gonna leave his sister behind. sobbing crying

Sarai — Powder/Jinx

Cue abandonment issues to the max—

Dana & Twist— Ekko

Dana's gonna be helping her dad in his shop, and since her father is friends with Eli's father, they are friends now. Yay!

Twist be an orphan and Tom adopted him uwu No betrayal Twist mayhaps???? 👀👀 He is Eli's best friend and was close with Sarai and watched her change CRYING

Kord and Trixie fill up Milo and Clagger

They're gonna die—AAAA

Pronto is gonna be that dude that Vander helped negotiate with the Bildgewater traders and then got hooked on Shimmer 😭😭😭

He took his twin brother's role as a trader sooo he lowkey sucks at it, but he gets help from the Hound of the Underground ofc uwu

Will — Vander

SOB sorry Will, you gonna die and worse. Your once old friend is going to come after you and your family 😭😭😭

Hmmm. The Shane's originally came from Piltover but were kicked out by the academy. Will is a second gen Underworlder, so still has quite some understanding of Piltover and their culture. His kids, however, have no clue. They're underworlders through and through.

Tom — Benzo

Him and Will best buds forever 😤😤😤 Tom loves his shop and his kids, even if they often get in trouble alongside Will's kids lmao

Very loyal to Will 💜

Dr. Blakk — Silco + Singed but mostly Silco

Ohhhh BOY here we go (tldr below)

Also a second gen Underworlder.

His father was kicked out by the Academy for forbidden/nonethical research. He landed in the Underground but was blessed to find a woman that he settled with. She died in childbirth, and he blames his son for her death. He still very much held an anger towards Piltover and swore to find a way back and get his life back and wanted to go back to his research there.

Thaddius was born, and when he learned about his father being kicked out, he felt bad for him and tried to comfort his father. Instead, he was met with anger and distain. His father still saw himself as a Piltovian, and he saw his son as Underworld trash, and although he never said it out loud, Thaddius knew what his father thought of him.

One day, a man came to talk with Thaddius' father and sure enough, his father had found a golden ticket back to Piltover. Only one golden ticket. Thaddius watched as his father exchanged him for a one way ticket to Piltover, abandoning him for a more lavish life.

Something broke in Thaddius that day, and since then, he has a disgust and hatred for Piltover. Why must the Underworld be less? They were Twin-Cities, supposed to be equals and yet... it was clear they were not. So Thaddius embraced his identity as an Underworlder, become zealous and created the Nation of Zaun. Will was against it, he knew that was not the solution and their friendship was broken because of it.

But now with Will gone, Dr. Blakk is one step closer to getting his Nation of Zaun.

But, what he never expected, was for Will's crying daughter to leap into his arms, sobbing about being left behind by her bother, her dead father right behind her...

TL;DR Papa Blakk abandoned Thaddius bc he was Underworld trash and Thaddius embraced being an Underworlder and created the Nation of Zaun. He then adopted stole Sarai and she is now his daughter.

Quentin — Singed

Hmmm, Blakk also takes on the role of Singed. He created Shimmer and takes on Quentin as his assistant. So now Quentin is in charge of further Shimmer research and he is the one who gets burned by the fire.

Maurice — Sevika

Man is loyal to the Underworld, he knew when to switch teams. He fought alongside Will when Piltover and the Underworld were at war. Eli knew him to be close to his father and feels betrayed when he learns Maurice. betrayed him and is now working with Dr. Blakk

Shanai is the very nice brothel lady that Vi gets info from.

She was like a grandma to the kids and is heartbroken by their deaths, and is tormented by the fact that Dr. Blakk has Sarai now.

And thus concludes my first thoughts about my Arcane AU. Lmk when yalll think 😭😭😭 my hearts gonna break when I draw for this au AAAA

Ok, so I finally got around to starting Arcane (the show). I've wanted to watch it since it came out, but I am TERRIBLE at starting new shows (aka, I am horrible at commitment, lol)

so far, I'm loving it! I'm gonna try not to get too attached to anybody, but so far, I love the characters. I adore the animation style and the location designs. Hallie is a great VA for Vi (but what isn't she great at?) The found family with Vander and the kids is so sweet, and I ADORE that. The character designs are amazing as well. All around, the animation is spectacular, and the story seems really intriguing and thought out (so far, I'm only two eps in tho)

For some reason, Mylo and Clagger remind me of Bobble and Clank from the Tinkerbell movies, and I love it, considering Bobble and Clank were 2 of my favorites as a kid.

Anyways... Imma try and make some update posts as I watch. PLEASE, no spoilers! But yeah, I love it so far!

If I was any good at writing out ideas I would add more

OMFG YES-

They grew up with Powder and Vi with eveyone.

They were fighting inforcers when a carriage rushed to them, without a second thought they jumped on.

When they did wake up they fought Grim a little getting burns om their hands. When they got to the Library Crowley was able to get them. At the ceremony they walked up to the Mirror and scoff at it when it said they has no magic.

This Yuu gets in Crowley's face bc what the FUCK do you mean I can't get home? My sister need me! When shown Ramshackle they didn't blink hey its a roof over their head.

Overbloats were different bc Yuu being from the umdercity just punched and fought with their bare hands. When they were younger they fought with Vander's gauntlets, so in honor of being able not to go home they made their own.

They have fought Savanaclaw boys so much when they went into their mirror they knew not to mess with them.

They keep ADeuce in check being reminded of their brothers Mylo and Clagger.

Jack kinda reminds them of Vi, Epel reminds them a bit of Powder...Or Jinx now.

When they talk about their family to the boys they cried bc they couldn't be there for their sisters.

AAAHHH in this essay I will

1: ooouughghghghgh its so hard to pick, i love them all for different reasons, but if just one, it would probably be Ekko. He went through most (if not all) the heartbreak of the others, but he overcame it, which was pretty ballsy. And the fact that he saw the corruptions of the Topside and the Lanes, and was like "yeah, we aint havin that" IS SO COOL! I really cant wait to see what happens with him and tabby mouse man (I dont and probably couldn't remember his name if i tried)

2:uuuuuuuuoghh it would have to be Silco and Jinx. Silco did reaaaallly bad stuff using Jinx, but the reason I love the relationship so much is because there was genuine LOVE behind it. After Vander's death, Jinx so willingly fell into Silco's arms, because he showed concern. And the trade with Jayce, he was so genuinely distraught by his request, so much so that he chose to affirm his denial as dying words. (Close second was Silco and Vander, because man)

3: I dont think i could be physically able to give this title, because the whole show is fantastic, but I will say that when Silco was talking with Vander's statue OOIGH that pulled a heartstring.

4: episode 9 hands down. The confrontation between Jinx/Powder and the relationships each separately had was fantastic. it talked about everything i had wanted it to, and dude, the freaking part where Jinx asks Vi to leave Kate, OUGHHH because throughout the show Vi is reminded of Vander's words "you have a good heart" AND THAT SAME HEART WAS HER WEAKNESS.

5: with shows, im either bawling or embracing The Emotionless Husk™ and this show was the latter. I think the episode that struck it the most was I think ep 3? It was the part where the Trauma™ happens in the origin story (Vander, Clagger, Milo's death, Vi's disappearence) That one caused me to literally sit in silence after.

6: hate to say it but it's gotta be Kate. Like yes she helped open eyes to people, and willingly looked for the wrongdoings she was apart of, but i really just dont like her.

7:AMAZING SHOW it shows the heartbreaking part of change so well, and how permanent actions can be.

to my two boys, I love you both so fucking much. you were so brave and so strong and so clever, and you had so much potential to strive and be amazing beautiful people, I'm sorry that I couldn't keep you safe, I'm sorry you didn't get the chance to reach that potential, and I hope that wherever you are now you are getting that chance, because you fucking deserve it. both of you in your own unique spectacular ways were two of the best young men I had ever met, and whatever, and whoever you are now, I know you are going to be incredible.

to Powder, or Jinx, however you prefer to be called. I'm sorry I failed to make you feel seen, I'm sorry that you felt like you had to push yourself to be worthy. I'm sorry that I never made it clear to you, or I didn't make it clear enough how brilliant and competent and charming and sweet you were. and. and I know you may not like to hear this. but I'm sorry I wasn't able to protect you from him. i know you love him, and I would never hold that against you, but being around him in such a vulnerable state, with no one else... more stable to guide you, it's not an environment a little girl should have to live in. you should have had a protector, not someone who pushed their trauma onto you, not someone who intentionally tried to glorify your heartache and your grief. im sorry I wasn't there to be that for you.

to Vi, I'm sorry that you had to become the protector. I do think that teaching you to be that way was my own fault, In a way i did what i just criticized, I saw strength in you and I projected how I had grown up and what I had learned onto you. and it wasn't fair. no matter our circumstances I'm sorry if i ever made you feel like you had to be anything but a little girl. and I'm sorry that I couldn't be there for you. I'm sorry you had to be alone. you deserved so much more safety and nurture than fate dealt you, and im sorry i wasn't around long enough to be that. and i hope more than anything you have it now.

in a strange way. i blame myself for that day. I blame myself for everything that happened. every death, including my own, and all that happened after it. perhaps if years earlier I had done something different you all could have been safe and happy, or if i had just been stronger, or if I had just... I don't know. I don't know what I could have done differently. but I'm so sorry I didn't do it.

What's your favorite character from arcane?

Hmmmm... favorite character.. God, I love them all: VI, Jinx, Caitlyn, Heimer, Jayce, Viktor, Ekko, Mel, Silco, Vander, Milo, Clagger- Ok, ok, if I had to pick JUST one, I THINK it would be Jinx. Not to sound like a weenie, but I definitely relate to her feelings of needing to prove herself, not feeling like enough, feeling isolated, feeling different, feeling alone while simultaneously not giving a fuck and doing what she wants to do.

I'd have to say though, my favorite to play as when I play league would probably be Heimer, then a tie between Jinx and Caitlyn. Love the donger ♥

Old Friend - Part 2

"Powder? Powder! Little Man told me-" Arika burst through the door as the bag fell from Powder's hands, sending small blue crystals bouncing across the floorboards. They skittered and sparked flecks of blue into the air.

"I can help them." The small blue-haired girl looked up at her friend as she stepped through the doorway.

"Pow Pow, what's going on? Little man told me someone took Vander. Where is everyone?" Arika rushed over to pull Powder into a hug. It was obvious the girl had been crying, her eyes red and raw, the residue of snot still trailing from her nose.

"They left me." She sniffled into Arika's shoulder, clutching the girl tightly to her. "But I can help them. Violet told me to stay here, but I can help. I know I can."

"Okay." Arika nodded, pulling away. "Tell me what to do. Let's help them."

"I'll wait for you all in the sewers once the bombs go off." Arika pulled Powder in for another hug. "We're going to help them."

Powder nodded, her body trembling lightly before she stepped away.

"And you'll be there to fix our cuts and bruises?"

"Like always." Arika promised before turning and running off to the closest sewer hatch. There, in a tunnel directly under the abandoned cannery she waited., watching the muck of the Lanes pass by until the first bang went off.

It was powerful, shaking the foundations of the building above and resonating through the tunnel. Arika smiled, Powder's bombs had worked. Then there was another, and another so loud Arika doubled over covering her ears and somewhere above her the ceiling began to cave in. Orange and blue light fighting for dominance as she looked up through the hole, unaware that there was one more bomb yet to go off. In the moment of silence, she heard the sound of cymbals coming from behind her. It was another of the bombs she had helped to make not half an hour before. It had frozen before its final clap, and Arika couldn't move. Rooted to the spot in fear. Fear that if she disturbed the air even in the slightest, it would set off the monkey. So she waited, mere seconds felt like minutes as she tried to pull herself away, to run.

The monkey seemed to grin a little wider before it finally blew, the blue crystal crushed between its prongs. Arika saw the air dusted blue and she was thrown backwards, felt it sizzle and pop against her skin and tingle down her spine. The air shifted again and she was caught mid-flight, suspended as the blue seemed to coagulate and swirl around her before pouring through her body. A high-pitched scream crackled from her mouth, like a kettle boiling and she felt her body ripped apart. The blue sparks sliced their way back out of her and fizzled out in the air.

She lay there in a puddle of blood, gurgling and twitching, tears pouring uncontrollably from her eyes. She was dying, she could feel it. With every drop of blood, her life was being pulled from her. She stared up through the hole in the ceiling, watching the lights flicker, flames licking the walls sending almost unbearable heat into the stinking sewer.

Powder was up there. Violet, Vander, Clagger and Milo. They were all up there, depending on her to be there for them. To help them. Yet here she was, bleeding out beneath their feet. Were they even still alive? They had to be, and they would need Arika's help when they made it out. Who else would sit and stitch them up? Force them to rest? Strap up their injured muscles? Sanitise their wounds?

The pool of blood changed its flow. It was hard to notice at first, the blood looked like it was stagnating more than flowing back. Slowly, Arika's vision brightened, and she could feel her hands again. Feel breath pulling into her lungs, her heart speeding up. She could feel the pain, but that hardly seemed to matter in comparison. She rolled her head to the side and watched as the blood was pulled back into her body, her wounds stitching themselves into neat silver-white lines.

She was stuck there for hours - still unable to move but regaining feeling and strength - until she was able to drag herself up from the floor and stare up at the slowly dying flames. Using the rubble she made her way up, the destruction was immense. Bodies had been burnt to a crisp, unrecognisable, and Arika counted too many. She ran around the compound over and over again, but no one was there.

No one had met her in the sewers either. It had been too long. They were all gone. She ran back to the Lanes. No one was there. They were all gone.

Arika ran back to her home and packed a bag. There was nothing here for her now. She grabbed the tin can from under her bed, all the money she had collected from her shifts at the good doctors. She didn't know how far it would take her, but she couldn't be here anymore. Not without them.

What Could Have Been {Arcane Fanfic}

Chapter Two - Across the River

(One Day Later)

It's been one day since the fight between the Undercity and the Enforcers, during that time Vi begins to worry about her little sister hoping that Vander finds her soon but she still doesn't give up hope.

Later on Vander made it home as Vi got up from the couch and ran into him.

"Did you find her? Please tell me!" She said with a worried yet fearful expression

"I'm sorry Vi, I really am. I tried so hard to look everywhere, even in Piltover. I've talked to some old friends of mine and none of them hasn't seen a little girl at all. I'm sorry Vi, I'm afraid that…..your sister…is gone." Suddenly Vi began to break down in tears and fell on her knees.

"No, no, no, no she can't be gone! This is all my fault I should have gone after her!" Vander then held Vi into his arms to calm her down.

"Hey, hey, hey it's alright, don't blame yourself kid none of this isn't your fault, you did everything that you could to protect your sister.”

"No you don't understand, I made a promise to my parents that I will protect her…"

“Vi look at me, I know that you are not a bad person, but you did everything that you could to save your sister. Your parents would have been proud of you." Vi understood everything, she wiped her tears away and took a deep breath.

"Why…do all of the Enforcers hate us?"

"I wish I could know everything kiddo, but that's how our world works…" he said.

"I swear one day, they're gonna pay for what they did…" Vander didn't say anything after that, he knows how Vi felt after everything that she went through, she has lost everything, her home, her parents, and even her little sister. They then were interrupted by Mylo and Clagger.

"Mylo, Clagger, it's great to see you boys there's someone who I want you to meet. Boys this is Vi, Vi these are my boys Mylo and Clagger."

"Hi." Said Vi,

"Hey Vi." Mylo replied.

"Hey Vi, it's nice to meet you." Clagger replied.

"Hey boys, why don't you show Vi around town. But do not go to the topside, I'm gonna have a word with Benzo." Said Vander as the kids start heading out.

(In Singed's home)

Meanwhile Powder was in her room by herself coloring while Silco went to visit Singed in his office.

"Alright, can you see anything?" Said Singed as he held some pictures for Silco to see.

"No, it's all very...blurry and red."

"Hmm I see, can you describe to me how your eye feel?"

"It's like it still has this…toxic inside me, and it's eating me from the inside. And I have this hallucination in my head.”

"Hmm, I'm sure that I have something for your eye." Singed said as he pulled something out of his desk.

"This is what I wanted to show you."

"What is that?"

"This is called Shimmer, this will help to keep your eye stable. But you have to inject your eye every single day."

"What happens if I don't take it?"

“Then it will get worse, once you miss a day you'll be addicted to the shimmer more than ever." Silco nods and he grabs the shimmer injection from Singed's hand.

"Thanks, Singed."

"Of course, by the way, what are you planning to do with the little girl that you have in your room?"

"Honestly…I'm not sure? Her parents are dead, she lost her sister, she lost everything. So I'm not sure what I am going to do with her."

"Hmmm, I understand but if you don't have any ideas that's okay you two can stay here as long as you want."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes."

"Okay thank you, I should better get going."

(In Silco's room)

Later on Silco went back to his room and checked on Powder. She then sees him coming in.

"You came back!" She got up and ran into him and hugged him. Silco was surprised at first but yet he softly smiled and patted her head and kneeling down to her.

"Sorry that I took too long, by the way I got you some new clothes for you to wear." He said as Powder smiles with excitement and she checks out her new clothes but then she finds a gold needle thingy.

"Huh? What's this Mr Silco?" She asks as she shows him the needle.

"Oh, sorry child, it's my um…medicine."

"Your medicine? Are you sick?" She said with a worried expression.

"No dear, it's for my eye."

"What's wrong with your eye?" she curiously asked him but he thought to himself.

"Shit, she hasn't seen it yet. I don't want her to scare her." He sighs and unwraps the banges around his head and shows it to Powder.

His left eye is no longer normal, the outer eye is pitch black while his eye color is a mix between yellow, orange and red, more like a fire color.

"Does it hurt?" She touches his face.

"No dear, I can't feel anything in my left eye." She was speechless but then she gave him his needle.

"I'm sorry if this scares you Powder."

"It's okay Mr Silco." She softly responds. He smiles warmly but then sees a bunch of drawings, blank papers, and oil charcoal.

“What’s your drawing over there?” he said as Powder grab Silco’s hand and walk over to her artwork.

“I made this one for you.” She shows him the picture, it was a stick figure of Silco.

“Oh Powder, this is wonderful thank you.” he said with a soft smile.

(Later in the Lanes)

While Vi, Mylo, and Clagger were out, they took her to their hang out spot to meet their other friend.

“What is this place?” Vi ask.

“This is our hangout spot, it's not that pretty but .”

"Looks nice." She said as she saw someone hiding in the corner.

"Hey, who's that over there?" She pointed at the corner.

"Oh that's Ekko, he's our friend." Said Mylo

"It's alright Little Man, she's friendly." Said Clagger as a small child slowly appeared out of the corner.

"Ekko this is Vi, Vi this is Ekko."

"Nice to meet you Ekko." She said as she let her hand out, Ekko slowly grabbed her hand and shook it.

"So what do you boys normally do around here?"

"Eh nothing much, we mostly do whatever we want around here in the Lanes."

"Really?"

"Yup."

"But sometimes we can mess around with the Enforcers."

"Why would you do that?"

"What do you mean?"

"Don't you know that you're gonna get yourselves in trouble or worse, dead."

"Woah, sorry I mean it's not that big of a deal."

"Uh it is Mylo, don't you remember what happened with those guys last week? What they did to the Enforcers!"

"Yeah i mean that's diff-“

"It doesn't matter if it is different or not you can get killed no matter what you do to piss the Enforcers!!!"

"I…I'm sorry Vi…"

"No I'm the one who is sorry, I shouldn't have snapped at you guys, but that's how the world works now…"

"It's alright Vi, hey there's one more place that we wanted to show you." Said Clagger. Vi smiles a little and they start heading out.

(In Benzo's Shop)

“Benzo, you here?" He yelled out for him.

"Vander, where the hell have you been? I've been looking for you everywhere! Did you find them?"

"I only found one of their daughters."

"One of their daughters? What the hell are you talking about? Where's Henry and Jessica?"

"They're…dead, and so does their…younger daughter as well…Vi is the only one who has survived. And it's all because of Silco! That fuckin son of a bitch! He will pay for what he did!" He said as he slammed his fist against the wall.

"Bloody hell, that's terrible! Where the hell is Silco now? I swear once I see him again I swear I-"

"He ran away right after he stabbed my forearm."

"...where's Vi now?"

"She's with my boys, god that poor girl…I know her father too, we all did. Remember what we called ourselves?"

"Heh, how could I forget? The Children of the Undercity. Man that brings me back…"

"Yeah but…we all change and it's not the same anymore."

"I'm so sorry Van…"

Benzo put his hand on Vander's shoulder, but then they heard the door open and it was the kids walking into the store.

"And here is- oh shit sorry, I didn't know someone was in here." Said Mylo

"It's alright, and what did I say about you swearing?"

"Sorry dad."

"It's alright Mylo, it's almost sundown you ready to go Vi?" He said as Vi nodded.

"We'll be right back."

He picked up the small bag of money and they started heading out.

(Later that day)

After Silco took a shower, he looked at himself in the mirror and saw how terrible his left eye was. He can see the fire in his eye. It feels like it is eating him from the inside.

But he was still thinking about the night with Vander, he thought to himself "Why would he do this? After everything that we've been through! I thought that I could trust him! BUT HE BETRAYED ME!!!!!"

All of those thoughts in his head have kept repeating itself over and over again.

So he took out the shimmer injection and put it together, he stared at it for a moment and slowly aim it at his left eye. He was making sure that it was at the right spot, he took a deep breath and…

*Click*

He pushed the injection down and it stabbed his left eye with a little bit of shimmer. It stung him for a second but he took a deep breath and tried to ignore the pain.

Later he changes himself and walks around for a moment, he then sees Powder while still drawing on her paper but she looks so happy here.

He smiles softly but then thinks of himself again.

"What the hell am I going to do with this child? Come on Silco get a hold of yourself! She's not even your kid! Why should you be worried about it? Why am I feeling like this?" He stopped himself for a moment and went outside for a moment.

(At the Bridge)

During the afternoon both Vander and Vi went back to the bridge where they dropped off three flowers and sat them down.

They took a moment of silence but then they were interrupted by one of the Enforcers.

"Hey, you two can't be here!"

"Listen sir, her entire family just died last night. Could you give us a moment?"

"No, you two shouldn't be at all!" Suddenly there was another Enforcer.

"Is there a problem Marcus?"

"No Chief…"

"Good, I'll take it from here now. You're dismissed." He nods and leaves.

"I'm sorry about Marcus here, so your Vander?"

"Yes, and you are?”

“Grayson, is that your daughter over there?”

“Um no she’s…she’s Jessica’s daughter, maybe you know her.”

“Yeah…i’m so for your lost little one.” She said as Vi glared at her with an angry expression on her face, she then turned away from her.

"Apparently she is not very happy to see any of the enforcers now."

“I understand…, can I speak to you for a moment?" Said Grayson as Vander gets up and walks an inch away from Vi.

"Listen Vander, I'm terribly sorry for your loss but we don't have any choice."

"Of course that you don't have a choice, you just kept killing us more and more and yet none of the councilors ain't gonna do nothing about it!"

"I understand Van-“

"No you don't! You have no idea how much risk that I have to take! I kept my people safe from the Enforcers and all over Piltover!!!" He stopped for a moment and took a deep breath and calmed himself down.

"Vander, I wish that I could do everything to stop this hate between our people and yours, and I'll do whatever it takes to not harm all of you. I know that you all aren't bad people. How about this, how about you and I will make a deal."

(Few Minutes Later)

"Vander, could you at least just…think about it."

"Of course, it was…nice knowing you, Grayson." She nodded.

"Come on kid, let's go home." Vi gets up and they walk home.

(At Night)

Later on at night, Powder began to whimper in her sleep, shaking so much, she was having a nightmare from the night of the war.

“MOMMY!!! DADDY!!!” She screams in fear which causes Silco to rush into her room.

“Powder? What’s wrong?” he said as he turned on the light and walked over to her bed.

“I…I had a nightmare from that night, I'm so…*sobbing* I'm so scared!” She curls herself into a ball while crying her eyes out but then Silco pulls her in and holds her.

“Shhh there, there now. It’s gonna be okay, you're in a safe place." he rubs her head and comforts her.

"I miss my mommy and daddy, and I miss my sister too."

"I know you do, my dear child." He said in a soft tone of his voice, He wiped her tears away and let go of her and walked away. She sees him and immediately ran after him and grabs his hand.

"Wait, please don't leave me.” He stops and turns around.

“Could you stay with me tonight?" He took a moment to think about it.

"Hmm, of course child." He said as he turned off the light as he put a small candle on top of the dresser for a nightlight and he started laying down next to her.

"Could you sing me a lullaby?"

"I'm not much of a singer child."

"You could try?"

"Hmm let's see." He thinks of a song to sing.

"Dear friend across the river. My hands are cold and bare." He began to sing while Powder was surprised because her mother used to sing that lullaby to her and her sister every night.

"Dear friend across the river, I'll take what you can spare. I ask of you a penny, my fortune it will be." Powder sighs softly as she closes her eyes and sings along with him.

He looks down at her and starts rubbing her head slowly and closes his eyes as well and they both start singing together.

"I ask you without env, we raise no mighty towers. Our homes are built of stone, so come across the river. And find…the world below." She slowly falls asleep and Silco smiles softly but then hears her saying something to him.

"Goodnight…daddy…" Silco's heart crunches after hearing those soft words from that small child who he only knew for a day but then suddenly he felt something that he never felt before.

He feels like he wants to protect this little girl. Even though it isn't his, it doesn't matter to him.

He'll take care of this small child for the rest of his life and promise her that he will always be right by her side.

"Goodnight, Powder." He kissed her forehead and they both fell asleep peacefully together.
