I just wanted to let you know that I am WAY too hooked on Redamancy that I keep just being like I wanna read angst? Oh, it's time to read Chapters 14 and 15! Like, come on, how can you take these okay characters from a weird ass series and turn it into something like this? I honestly think you are doing better than smeyer did! I also hope that soon things get to chill out, and we can see some half fun times with Jas and Emmet! Stay hydrated and well fed!!!
Omg when I tell you this ask made my heart SOAR😭 I’ve loved this series since I first saw the movies in high school (I just aged myself, RIP), but I always imagined them… different than SMeyer did; I’m re-watching the movies this week and I keep noticing what I would’ve done differently. Also, sparkles? You’ll never catch me mentioning that lmao honestly I just take her baseline for the characters/story and make it make sense in my eyes. And honestly I think it’s just the difference in vibes from 10 years ago to now - what we want in romance, perception of paranormal (not that anything about this is realistic, but making it more believable), and having time to criticize the saga.
Jasper is my Roman Empire, he is such a complex character - they all are! They deserve better storylines and just more overall, I just love writing my thoughts with him. But it’s like a coin, the other side is the wolves - more specifically Paul👀 oh my god I don’t even know where to start with the wolves, there’s so much. And I do have a doc started for Paul for after Jasper (there might not be a true and final ‘after’, but like once I crank out BD part 2) for when I can focus my energy on that instead of trying to split it with Redamancy, it’s full of ideas, things I wished we had gotten - especially with imprint relationships. Ugh and then I have that pre-vampire Jasper WIP that’s unrelated to Redamancy🙈 how the fuck do people organize their thoughts to do multiple series at the same time lol
The last part of your ask I’ve been thinking about since I posted Ch29, do you guys like the in-between? Like, the stuff between the timeline events that’s not in the books/movies? I’m always so worried about those parts, because if improperly done, I’m worried you guys are waiting for me to get to the point-to the shit you know is going to happen. Like the grad party, the newborn army fight, big plot points like that; versus the little injects like spending time with Quil, or Emmett, or reader’s mom, those things? I promise those little things have meaning down the road (some for the plot, some to just add angst/fluff/or to just fix SM’s holes) but I’m curious about your guys’ opinions! I’ve definitely read some fics that have had plot fluff that I’ve skipped because I just wanted the meat and I don’t want to bore you guys with that shit if I’m not writing it correctly enough😅
I also just love asks like this that make me think deeper about the story, because it definitely influences and inspires my writing lol thanks love🫶

How do you feel about "Night"? I found the idea of Janeway being so depressed that she locked herself away in her quarters very interesting. But then there was the massive power outage and she just immediately leapt into action. It seemed much too easy to me.
I guess I wanted her to find a way out of her depression rather than just suddenly coming out of it because there was crisis.
I am so sorry I didn’t see this ask until now. I don’t know why Tumblr didn’t show it to me.
Okay, “Night.” I have lots of feeling about this episode and certainly agree that aspects of it are too easy, but I actually think Janeway’s depression can be best understood if we try to determine what kind of depression she has.
From what I can tell (I am not a medical doctor), Janeway may have situational depression, as defined by Healthline as “a mental health condition that develops when someone has trouble adjusting to a stressful life event.” The void and its lack of distraction for Janeway’s guilt could qualify as a stressful life event — one that that causes her to reflect on many, many other stressful life events.
Furthermore, we’re potentially given to understand that Janeway has experienced situational depression before. Per the creature pretending to be her father in “Coda,” speaking of Kathryn Janeway after her father died: “You were so grief-stricken you fell into a terrible depression. You spent months in bed, sleeping away your days rather than confronting your feelings. I'm not sure what would have happened if your sister hadn't forced you into the real world again.”
So two is a pattern for situational depression for Kathryn Janeway?
Another type of depression, per the same Healthline article, is clinical depression: “Unlike situational depression, episodes of clinical depression generally last longer than just a few months, and the symptoms can be quite severe. It’s a chronic, persistent mental health condition that often requires treatment to manage the symptoms long-term.”
With her history and the medical definitions in mind, if we view Kathryn Janeway’s situation in “Night” as depression (a word the episode doesn’t use), then I believe we can choose to see a change in situation as helping Janeway climb out of situational depression — by forcing her back into the world, the same as what her sister did for her after their father passed away.

my bf and i are currently on the last lotr movie but throughout this entire experience he continues to comment on how “dwarf-like” I am. He uses words like “hardy” “stubborn” and “chaotic” and then undermines them with stupid sweet ones like “they’re loyal down to their last fibre and the ones you’d want at your back. ok so i watched the jdrama with my sibling after seeing a shitpost about the casting and i lost my MIND. i hadn't really seen any major spoilers beforehand so i basically experienced it all in real time and boy i loved it.
i know it def took some liberties with its story but that's part of why i liked it so much, i eat up aus and different interpretations or whatever so i really didn't mind the minor changes. my only qualm is that watari's bitchass outlives L smh who decided that /lh
above all i love the way they characterized light so much. they let him be stupid!! thank god!! he yelled at ryuk in a lecture hall full of students!! he finger-gunned!! he walked into a door!! he felt much more flawed and even i found myself relating to him at times! they really added to his relationship with soichiro which i loved. their arc had me gripping my heart in agony but that's normal for me when i think of soichiro for too long so like,,
jdrama light quickly became my favourite light because of this. i could think about him forever and i just might!
the only word i can use to describe jdrama L is 'babygirl'. the way they characterised him was so fun and different,, and lord if episode 8 didn't break me. suddenly i'm 12 years old again and grieving this man. and the way light reacted to his death?? the way the scene played out?? it was absolutely gut wrenching. i had to take a walk.
and while we're talking about gut wrenching, can i just say that L & soichiro are such an underrated duo?? i didn't expect to lose my mind over L saying that he thought of soichiro like a father but here i am, still not recovered completely,
and i'll just cut this off by saying that making mello a fucking PUPPET was certainly a choice.

oh au ideas?
Set not long after Eclipse failed to steal the master emerald. He's so angry and alone and his head is so empty and the babies need him all the time and he's incredibly stressed and it's all SHADOW'S FAULT.
The next time Eclipse see's him, he doesn't hold back, he pours all of his rage and pain into fighting him. And it works.
And then he realizes Shadow is dead. What happens next?

SO ITS A REVERSE CLONE AU???? WITHOUT THE CLONING??? OUGH
I'd imagine if Eclipse were ever to actually kill Shadow, for the first few seconds he'd feel terribly proud of himself. RELIEVED. FINALLY. HE DID WHAT HE WAS SUPPOSED TO! WHAT HE WAS MADE TO DO! FINALLY, VENGENCE FOR THE DESTRUCTION SHADOW BROUGHT UPON THEIR KIND!
...Their kind.
That...was his brother.
Not counting the Dark Arms...that was...the only family he had left.
And now he's gone. It's just Eclipse now.
No. He would NOT feel bad about this. He was created SPECIFICALLY to get rid of Shadow, no mercy. It's a success on his part! He'd WON!
So...why did it hurt? What was this strange, heavy and overwhelming feeling he felt whenever he looked over at what he had done? He couldn't look anymore. It was too much to bear.
HE DIDN'T CARE!!
But he was shaking. His breathing was heavy.
HE WAS JUST TIRED FROM THE FIGHT!! HE. DIDN'T. CARE!!
Then he feels something. Some kind of liquid had fallen onto his hand.
He did care.
He never wanted to lose his brother...
But he had lost everything, and now he lost what little remained.
And it was all his fault.
He had to live with that now.
Those people Shadow was close to...they'd probably hunt him down relentlessly for this.
Nothing was fixed. He just made it all worse. He always made things worse.
I think it would be like an anti-redemption au, if you get what I mean. Instead of growing closer to Shadow, Clip killed him. Rouge and Omega WILL find him for what he did. Now its personal. Maybe Clip decides...things won't ever get better. He always makes things worse, so why not be worse? They want him to be the assumptions? They want a monstrous, murderous Black Arms?
That's just what he'll be, then.

Howdy Gamergirlbones!! I really enjoyed the GhostRiot angst thank you for the food ;u;) as much as I want to expand from sfw KruegerNak I don't actually know where to start so I'll keep this post fairly silly unless more people wanna ask >:D
They lock pinkies instead of holding hands in public. Nak says it's Childish but she likes having physical contact with Krueger, often hiding her face in the side of his shoulder because she's fairly shy when it comes to PDA.
Krueger got his first grey hair, part of the job. Nak plucks it out and makes fun of him for it as she like hugs him because she finds it cute how his hair is turning grey
Nak has a bit of an accent when she speaks English, it's not very noticeable unless she's feeling strongly about something- so she ends up pronouncing his name like "khu-ker" when shes excited or scoling him
So as we all know, Krueger SLOUCHES bro has major back problems in his thirties, so Nak gives him back massages, she would use tiger balm and the coin (if you know you know) but he is like "I'm not going to let you do that to me ever again I felt like I was dying."
There's going to be times that they won't have missions together, so Nak wraps the bandana that's usually around her neck around his arm or Krueger would have one of his spare scrim nets wrapped around her neck where the green bandana would be in return. Kind of like a vow of "you have to come back alive to give it back to me, okay?"
Krueger is gentle with her. Not in like a "oh my sweet precious baby angel let me kiss your boo boo to make you feel better" but in a "Hey we're gonna hold hands and kiss after this meeting, cool? Cool." Way, the former is just to be cheesy and tease her. He knows she can handle her own, after all she's seriously fought him with her fists before. I feel like he believes that if he really really cares about someone he's going to be gentle with them.
Krueger ties up Nak's hair when her arm is in a cast since she can't do it herself, he's gotten pretty creative with her hairstyles. Nak just has to live with poorly done braids in her hair until her arms heals
Nak is the big spoon, she insists on being the big spoon when they cuddle; the more she gets to know Krueger she wants to protect him, even if there isn't anything to protect him from.
Not really nsfw I don't think but they never really went through the phase of feeling insecure about with seeing each other naked? Of course Nak was shy about it because cultural stuff but theyve gotten to that point in their relationship where they can see the other for how they are, and adore them nonetheless (this is so cheesy but SHHHHH XD)

There were a bit more asks but I just deleted some because of... reasons. Look, I love getting asks even if sometimes I can't find the motivation to answer soonish, and requesting stuff is totally fine!
But I would appreciate it if it were more like suggestions and less like demands. My interests shift and there's a ton of stuff I would like to draw. I don't like being told what to do tbh ksksks. If it ain't fun, then I ain't doing it. This is a hobby after all.
Having said that, thanks to everyone who stuck around for my submas stuff, I had a lot of fun in the fandom! I'm taking a break from PLA + submas for more TLOZ + LU stuff since that's my current hyperfixation tho. Maybe I'll be back in the future, maybe not, we'll see ^^

I like to think that its natural, like how some human teeth are naturally yellow-ish in color, but it would be so funny if it was the latter due to the mental image of people constantly pointing this out and him being like "It's part of my ✨look✨" (Shadow will tackle him, toothbrush in hand)
