Fucking wildest shit. Some kid found out me and a mutual blocked them because they were making nsfw art of Silver, so they sent an ask to them on an alt account explaining that they were a minor and then proceed to use that to plead their case to me. It was really weird and we both blocked and they proceeded to. Use another alt account to harrass us in our inboxes and on our posts (on my post explicitly saying not to try getting around peoples blocks i CANNOT make this shit up) then they did that AGAIN and since then ive blocked like 15 different accounts attatched to them and scanning new followers to prevent them from harrass me again. Its a mess

ANYWAYS Silver the hedgehogs moral compass is soooo fascinating to me and you gotta wonder how he got it in the apocalypse. I think he has a strange combination of seeing horrible things so much that they are just normal and also seeing horrible things and labeling them as simply as he can, if that makes sense.

His penchant for violence is one of those things that mustve become normalized beyond being wrong for him. Every injustice or desire, whatever the reason, was acted on using violence, so the use of it is just a natural way to react to things. Get frustrated because someone upset you? Violence. Cant find any food? Violence. Saving people from an attack? Violence. Theres never really a more complicated or creative way for handling things, so thats just how things are done. Cant criminalize a natural and immovable part of existence like that. More than just the violence ofc, but i imagine violence is a big one.

On the flip side, silver also has his strong sense of justice, but where did that come from? Im theorizing that, obviously, Silver observed bad things happening (people stealing others food, people hoarding resources, attacking people for crossing into their "territories" (note: the violence not being the issue but the enforcment of territories onto desperate people), people dying etc) and labeled these things as bad and/or immoral. HOWEVER. Silver does not have a frame of reference for any of this. Morality at this point is. A bit of a moot point in the face of survival. He doesnt have anything to really model his beliefs after. So, being a child, his view points become really black and white. Anything that is immoral becomes bad, evil, unacceptable, with few exceptions. These things, whats bad and whats good, is based off of what he imagines a happy future being like. Everything thats bad will be responded to severely, and without nuance (ie, attacking people who get in his way, without stopping to consider whose side their on or why theyre getting in his way)

Anyway this all to say that Silvers sense of justice and black and white thinking come from a very childish place because there was very little example for morality where he came from. He figured it out on his own, when he was young and before he could conceptualize nuance and gray areas.
