seated across from wilbur, you felt the delicate dance of anticipation and vulnerability as the strings of an acoustic guitar filled and echoed in the hushed atmosphere.
"ready for a little musical therapy darling?" his voice reached your ears, a comforting anchor, cut through the air.
you nodded, a mix of trepidation and eagerness coursing through your veins. tonight wasn't just about making music; it was about embracing healing through the art.
the first chord hung in the air like a promise, and as wilbur skillfully plucked the strings, you closed your eyes, letting the notes weave through the tapestry of your emotions. each strum felt like a step forward, a gentle push toward the path of recovery.
in the midst of the melody, wilbur's eyes held a silent understanding. It wasn't just about the beauty of the song; it was about navigating the intricacies of recovery.
as the chords progressed, wil's voice joined the harmony—a soft, reassuring cadence that spoke volumes. the lyrics wove a tale of resilience, of battles fought and victories claimed. the song became a narrative of strength, each word a testament to the courage it took to confront the shadows of the past.
there were moments when the notes lingered, mirroring the echoes of your struggles. yet, with every strum, there was a resolve—a commitment. the guitar strings became threads of hope, weaving a melody that resonated with the rhythms of healing.
as the song reached its crescendo, you felt a weight lifting from your shoulders, as if an elephant had just took its foot off of you. the room, once filled with the quiet echoes of pain, now reverberated with the triumph. wil's gaze met yours, his eyes reflecting the shared victory etched in the chords.
"thank you," you whispered, your voice carrying the fragility of gratitude.
his reply was a gentle smile, a silent acknowledgment that you weren't alone in this journey. the guitar, now a conduit for healing, became a symbol of support—a reminder that, just like the strings, you were capable of creating beautiful melodies from the complexities of your story.
in that room, surrounded by the cadence of renewal, you found solace in the harmonies of recovery. the music, a companion on the path to healing, spoke louder than words, filling the space with the promise of a new chapter, composed with notes of resilience and the gentle cadence of self-discovery.

My Trope That Makes Me Go Feral is "Emotionally Induced Berserker Modes" and "Emotionally Induced Alternate Forms or Superpowers". Jus take all your sorrow, rage, joy, and courage and use it to shoot fireballs or turn into a dragon. That's the good stuff.
I fucking love emotions that outsiders brush off as "not important" being powerful enough to level a city block. I love characters becoming giant monsters that metaphorically stand in for their pain and anger. I love an abused character using their hurt as fuel to get revenge on their abusers. I love when the power of love and acceptance and positive feelings is the only way for a character to return to normal. I love Character A recognizing Character B even in a berserker mode, and sparing them. I love Character B being the only one who can calm Character A's rage. I love when kindness and personal growth helps them control their powers. I love "kind" monster forms or powers that are less feral but more powerful to show a character has grown. I love branching mon evolution routes that are reflections of their tamer. I love-
Oh. Wait.

Joyce to Will:
“Listen, stay close to your brother, okay?”
“And listen, listen, listen…”
“If you get a bad feeling or anything, you tell him to take you straight home.”
Mike after Will sees the Mind Flayer:
“I’m gonna get you home, okay?”
“I’m gonna get you home. Hold on.”

re baldurs gate i actually do not care for character creators giving you a genital option especially when thats the only time you even look at it. just seems gimmicky and reductive. like yeah awesome your girl character can now be a trans woman. because the penis is the only part that matters
