the thing about steve harrington is that he's one of the most compelling characters of all time. he starts the show an extremely popular jock and now he's got two friends: a girl he had a crush on that turned out to be a lesbian and a fourteen year old. the only fight he's ever won in his life was against a soviet spy. he keeps a bat full of nails in his car. he barely graduated high school. he beat up a racist. he's terrible at flirting. he has daddy issues. he spends an entire season wearing a little sailor outfit, hat included. and he's even bisexual

thinking about how the only time bobby and cas interact in season four is when he knocks him out cold to talk to dean alone. and the next time bobby sees him, cas is powerless and just comes to steal dean's necklace in a weird interaction that had to be filmed close-up because dean and cas are just inches from each other's face. the next time is an offscreen interaction where he just gets dean's address from bobby and probably left immediately after. combine this with the fact that bobby knew dean had a male siren the season before (and tried to be supportive) and let cas be in the family photo a few episodes later, there is a nonzero chance bobby singer was the first destiel shipper.

Bonus:

I really despise the Marvelification of Stranger Things, because all the interviews nowadays are constantly referencing how fast paced and epic and big the finale will be but the reason people fell in love with the show wasn't special effects or long episodes; it was the plot, it was the characters, it was the mystery. Stranger Things 1 may have been a story about a government conspiracy and a monster, but that's not why we stuck around. The show can throw amazing CGI, Russians, a battle within the American army and an apocalypse at the audience with the biggest budget known to man but if they forget to ground it and keep it central, it'll just get lost amongst a plethora of other "epic" blockbusters. We want Steven King, not Avengers.

Sometimes I think about how Adrien, throughout the series, constantly grapples with his fear of abandonment. Gabriel conditioned him to believe that any love he receives is purely transactional, and that to earn affection he has to prove his utility. Adrien is constantly trying to prove his worth to his father for scraps of affection, and Chat Noir infamously crumbles on-screen any time he feels as though he is replaceable to Ladybug. It's a constant insecurity of his, like everyone will just dump him like a sack of potatoes the moment they find out how useless he is.

Meanwhile, all Marinette wants to is ensure that Adrien is happy. Because she loves him. She doesn't give two shits about how """useful""" he is. She holds him and tells him that she will never abandon him (both as Ladynoir and as Adrienette), and her fantasies are about saving him, not about him being "useful" to her. Throughout their relationship, Adrien is forced to disappoint Marinette constantly for reasons outside of his control (amok commands), and yet Marinette is still there for him.

At Adrien's lowest point, when he is forcibly torn away from everyone who had ever showed him genuine care, locked away in an all-white room and at his most "useless", right after disappointing Marinette and unable to even join the final battle or contribute in any way, she still saves him. She still loves him. Because he doesn't have to prove anything to her. Because he is loved and cherished for who he is, not for what he does, and that love is not conditional. Adrien's "happy ending" at the end of the first arc wasn't about him finally proving how useful he can be, because he never actually cared about being useful — he just saw it as the only means to feel loved and needed. Instead, in the end, he found out that he was loved and needed no matter what.

i think about the. gabe wanting to ‘use chat noir’s feelings for marinette dupain-cheng in order to take ladybug down’ line a lot and i understand why he couldn’t do that anymore because marinette almost immediately started dating His Son Instead but i really wish he heavily leaned into THAT as to why he was pissed off. imagine if he didn’t choose the huge obnoxious disapproving demon dad path and instead was REALLY nice to marinette so he could be like ‘hey girl!! i get why you’d date my son he is perfect and all….. but is he really good enough for You? like i feel like he wouldn’t be your type….? wouldn’t you prefer a leathered up HERO for a paramour instead….. perhaps one thats a little cat themed’ and so marinette is incredibly confused and is like adrien ur dads weirdly nice to me and all and won’t stop making me breakfast foods but i always get the feeling that he wants me to date chat noir. what is up with that. and adrien’s like SAY LESS !

So, how we feeling about that finale

The wwdits season finale really said 'what if you finally reached the goal you had been dreaming of your whole life, the impossible future where you are capable and worthy of being loved and it turned out that you were still *you* under it all? What if you still had all your human traits under those fangs? What if you were in fact *even more* susceptible to your human softness even though you had supposedly escaped it all? And what if the person you've loved for so many years holds his hand out to you and tells you it's okay, he can make it better? What then? '
