i really want to be one of those beautiful girls who always have impeccable hair and natural-looking makeup but the truth is most days i truly don’t have the desire to put anything more than the bare minimum into my appearances
#i’m pretty simple tbh#i have great fashion taste (and am willing to admit it hehe) and i like to look good so i put care into choosing what clothes to wear#but i never really cared at all about makeup besides lipstick and eyeliner#(my best friend who is one of the most beautiful people i know would always wear black eyeliner and mascara and i just loved the look)#on a good day i accept myself the way i am but other times it’s hard to feel beautiful#i don’t know why but the thought of having to set aside time to do my makeup every day make me cringe a little bit inside#and then i see my little sister and my cousin and so many other girls and i’m like ‘belle you gotta step it up for people to start seeing yo#you differently and as more attractive.’#i remember when i was Little enough for my mom to do my hair every morning (and i had long hair) she would do all these fancy braids with it#and after a while i’d just… had enough of the fancy hairstyles. no more sitting still while someone braids my hair for me#so i got a shoulder-length haircut and never looked back and i’m FINE with just wearing my hair loose and natural every day now#but it’s quite think & dry & curly so it’s not always that easy#anyway traditional beauty standards SUCK#it shouldn’t be like that but it is. and i think a lot about the notion of ‘femininity’ and especially feminine beauty standards that are pl#placed on hispanic women and wonder just how much of that was passed down to me through my mother#i swear i will get a pixie cut and/or keep my hair short even if it is partially out of spite#belle speaks#this post is sponsored by tiktok LMAO

FIRST SUMMER
PAIRING ➩ heeseung x reader
SUMMARY ➩ you and your bestfriends brother (possibly your mortal enemy) are both given the task of renovating your childhood lake house during the final summer before it’s sold
WARNINGS ➩ light smut, heeseung and reader aren’t super nice to each other most the time
WC ➩ 14.5k
AUTHORS NOTE ➩ Well.. officially out of retirement with this one I hope! I started this august of last year and abandoned it during my hiatus so picking up where I left off was a bit difficult and I apologize for any changes in writing styles. This isn’t my favorite thing I’ve written but I hope you guys enjoy it, thank you always for waiting for me. NOT PROOFREAD NO PART 2
You wondered if Lee Heeseung had been put on this earth for the sole purpose of making your life more difficult.
He’d probably argue this assumption with the fact he had been born before you, his main reasoning behind his many claims that you were the one copying him and making his life a living hell and not the other way around. He was a measly two years older than you but never failed to bring it up and use it against you.
Heeseung had been in your life for as long as you could remember and you absolutely never got along.
It wasn’t a big issue at first considering you were kids and had no real need to be around each other. The playgrounds were big enough for the both of you and your parents saw no reason to force a connection between the two of you, despite the fact you were neighbors and the two pairs of adults actually got along quite well.
Similarly to you and Heeseung’s little sister, a small girl who was born in the same year as you but nearly your polar opposite in personality. At first you’d been hesitant when she started to show up to play with the older boy, knowing him by now as the enemy and assuming she was going to be just as wicked and terrible. It only took watching her push him down onto wood chips once for you to decide to be her best friend.
The boy had scowled from his place on the ground, grumpily picking pieces of the wood from the fabric of his sweater and watching the two of you run off together towards the swings.
He’d failed to understand the power of your friendship in that moment and now 15 years later he was still paying the price, stuck with the two of you constantly. You and Jiwoo almost seemed more like siblings than they did, attached at the hip and never going too long without talking to each other.
Which is why it was all the more annoying that you and Heeseung could never seem to get along, reverting right back to being two kids arguing on the playground every time you saw each other, which was quite often. You’d practically moved into the Lee’s house next door during high school and you were even a frequent guest on their family vacations, their mom booking a place with an extra bed for you before she even asked if you were available.
You weren’t exactly sure why the two of you didn’t get along. He was nice enough to other people and sometimes he cracked jokes that nearly made you laugh, only nearly. For some reason he just brought out a terrible side of you that you didn’t really understand and you were certain you did the same for him.
It was easier now that you were out of school and entering adulthood, not having any major reasons to constantly see each other and his parents didn’t have to force him to drive you and Jiwoo around places now that you had your own cars.
He was definitely still around though and you were trying your best to act civilly despite that inner part of you always preparing for an argument to break out between you.
Especially right now considering the fact he kept kicking your leg underneath the table at the restaurant both your families were eating together at. The Lee’s cousin was in town and you’d always been particularly interested in him, being a total sucker for an accent and a good beach tan.
You sent a glare to your right in Heeseung’s direction when he kicked you for the third time and jammed your heel against the bone in his leg, ignoring the grunt of pain he let out as he bent slightly forward to grab onto his shin. His mom sent him a concerned glance before remembering who he was sitting next to and rolling her eyes as she looked away from the two of you.
You were watching Jake as he talked animatedly about his life guarding job back in his hometown, leaning forward and resting your chin on your palm to show your interest despite the fact you weren’t fully listening.
It was difficult to considering the constant distraction sitting beside you, another kick being sent to the leg of your chair so you jolted slightly to the side. You whipped your head around to look at him again, immediately replacing your interested and awed look with one of hatred and disgust.
“What the hell is your problem?” You were spitting at him in a low whisper, grateful the table was big enough that the others weren’t really paying attention to you. Although they had to have expected an argument eventually considering they sat the two of you together, breaking an unspoken rule that had been built up throughout the years.
“Stop trying to seduce my cousin.” He was spitting back and his eyebrows were pulled down tight in a sharp glare, keeping eye contact with you in an attempt to intimidate you.
“Mind your own business.” Your response was quick and tight, slightly embarrassed he’d caught you staring but too angry to care.
You turned back to try and focus in on the conversation again but now you were suddenly overly aware of the fact Heeseung was sitting next to you and watching what you were doing, looking for any opportunity to tease you and start up an argument. You sighed softly and leaned back in your chair with crossed arms, keeping a scowl on your face and letting the dinner pass by without speaking again.
“You know, I figured the two of you would eventually start getting along once you became adults.” Your mothers tone was laced with lighthearted disappointment after the dinner, walking ahead of you on the rock path leading up to your front door.
You could hear your father laughing softly in front of her at the idea of your life long feud being laid to rest, a frown instinctively coming up on your face at their inside joke.
Glancing over to the side, looking past the small stretch of grass that separated your pathway from the Lee’s, you saw Heeseung sporting a similar dejected expression and you wondered for a second if he was hearing the same lecture you’d been getting after dinners for as long as you can remember. Then he was looking over towards you and meeting your gaze in the low light of the summer sun setting, eyes immediately hardening into a glare that you quickly returned.
It was hard not to think about it later on in bed, eyes trained on the old plastic stars on your ceiling that didn’t glow anymore. Your hands were folded on your stomach and you were tapping your thumbs softly on the smooth skin in contemplation.
Sometimes, although you’d rather die than admit it to anyone, you also didn’t understand why you and Heeseung didn’t just stop fighting.
He was kind to Jiwoo in a way that always made you envy having siblings and despite his constant teasing he never declined driving her places or picking up food for her when she didn’t feel like going out. And he was even kinder to your parents, treating them like his own and having manners enough for the three of you growing up.
It was like you were dealing with a completely different person, him falling into that same angry glare the moment you’d step into a room. Sometimes he’d be mid story with a group of friends, being charming and funny as he recanted something and exaggerated moments to get a few more chuckles. You’d watch from a far for a bit and then slowly approach and every single time he’d pause for a moment, looking completely thrown off by your arrival, and then tensing up and losing track of what he was saying.
Your presence just seemed to bug him and as the two of you got older it affected you more. You didn’t mind the fact he wouldn’t play with you when you were kids, never dwelled over him saying you had cooties or getting dirt on your favorite stuffed animals.
But the fact he still continued to hate you as you aged and matured, settling into your respective personalities and lives, you couldn’t help but be offended he disliked you so much.
“He’s just weird.” Jiwoo had explained to you once when you were both seventeen, sprawled out on her bed and flipping through a magazine as she addressed you. “You shouldn’t think too deeply about it.”
Heeseung had just graduated high school and you’d all attended the ceremony, both families getting reserved seats per his request.
It had actually gone well for once, he didn’t seem upset that you were there and he had even hugged you alongside your parents when he came off the stage and your mother handed him a bouquet of celebratory flowers. Mrs. Lee had shot you a surprised glance and then a supportive thumbs up and you gave her a soft smile in return, figuring he was just so excited to have graduated that he was managing to tolerate you being there.
The Lee’s had taken advantage of the fact your backyards combined into each other, no fencing between them, and the two pairs of parents had decorated the space for a small party for the older boy.
You were excited to go, especially since Heeseung hadn’t demanded an explanation for your invitation, and you even managed to make some good amount of conversation with a few of his friends.
The conversation was swiftly interrupted when you felt a hand wrapped around the middle of your arm, tugging you a few inches backwards to get your attention. You whipped around to see who it was and you were met with an angry looking Heeseung, looking more familiar to you than the smiley version of him you’d seen earlier.
“Why are you talking to my friends?” His voice was accusatory like you’d done something wrong and he sounded so upset that for a second you felt like you had.
Your mouth had parted in confusion, fumbling for words and coming up short from the shock of his sudden confrontation and also the embarrassment of the situation considering he wasn’t exactly being subtle with his anger and the boy behind you could definitely hear every word he was saying.
“Chill out Hee, we were just making simple conversation.” Jay proved you right by speaking from over your shoulder but you didn’t bother looking at him, keeping your eyes locked on Heeseung and wincing softly at the way his face hardened at his friend defending you. “Cmon man, I know better than to-“
“Do you know better? Because it doesn’t seem like it.” Heeseung was cutting him off at the same time he was removing his gaze from yours, breaking you slightly out of the worried spell you were under as he looked at his friend from over your shoulder.
You weren’t exactly sure what they were talking about but you assumed Heeseung had warned his friends against speaking to you. It took you back a bit, despite knowing he didn’t like you.
The two of you definitely didn’t get along but you were still very close regardless if you liked it or not and you spent a lot of time together, so it hurt you more than you expected it to that he hated you enough to actively try and keep his friends from interacting with you, enough to the point he’d embarrass you and cause a scene at the sight of it.
“Hee I’m sorry.” His eyes snapped back down towards you at the sound of your quiet voice, completely out of character for you to not be fighting back or making a snarky remark.
It seemed to throw him off enough that his anger faltered for a second, looking concerned for a moment as he stared down at you before his jaw was tightening again and his face hardened back up.
You weren’t sure why you didn’t bother to snap back at him, if it was from the embarrassment of being ripped out of a conversation and scolded like a dog who’d gotten into the trash or if it was actual disappointment at his behavior despite the fact you definitely should’ve been used to it.
“I think you should head home. Parties almost over anyways.” He was eventually saying and it was directed towards you although his eyes had dragged back over your shoulder to look at Jay.
You figured he had looked away because he was feeling slightly guilty for embarrassing you and not being fought back in return, or maybe he was disgusted with you and didn’t want to look at you.
Still, his tone wasn’t as angry anymore although just as hard and stern, and you nodded softly before stepping sideways out from between the two tall boys. You knew he was lying about the party being over soon but it had ended for you anyways and you had no issue leaving it and going to the safety of your bedroom.
Jiwoo had caught the end of the encounter and caught up with you as you speedily walked away from the boys who had started to angrily murmur at each other, hence leading to the conversation about her brother in your bedroom and her explaining he was just being weird.
“Jay is a total playboy though, you should steer clear of him.” Her nose was curling up in disgust as she made the casual comment but a small pout formed on your face, wondering if Heeseung thought you were going to hookup with his friend and that’s why he was extra aggressive about it.
Eventually you let it pass from your mind to become just another bullet point in the long list of things Heeseung had done to show you he truly disliked you.
It was a lot easier to start to dislike him back, easier to fight with him and snap insults rather than get confused and sad about why he treated you so differently. So your routine was set in stone even deeper and neither of you ever faltered, not during birthdays or relative weddings or even your own graduation two years later.
So it wasn’t exactly an easy thing to handle when your parents and the Lee’s were sitting you all down to explain that your family lake house was going to be sold at the end of the summer.
“Wait why would you ever sell it?” Jiwoo was blurting out before they got the chance to explain and you had a permanent frown on your face as you waited to hear their response.
You watched your dad and Mr. Lee exchange a heavy but meaningful look, like there was something they’d already discussed amongst themselves in regards of how to tell you. You were sat on the left of Jiwoo, Heeseung on her right and for some reason you had to resist the urge to lean forward and see what his expression was.
“We’ve decided, now that you three are all grown up, it was just time. We figured we’d use the money to travel during the summer or save towards retirement.”
It made sense as your dad started to speak but you felt a weird clenching in your stomach at the thought of not having the lake house to go to anymore.
Realistically he was completely right and you’d started to neglect the yearly trips out there, taking them for granted and not appreciating the time you got to spend at the house. You didn’t even go at all the last two years, finding yourself too caught up with things so unimportant you don’t even remember them now.
The lake house was a tradition that was instilled before any of you were even born, a collaborative effort of your parents to try and bring some fun and adventure to your summers since you grew up so close to the city.
“So it’s just gone?” Heeseung was speaking for the first time since the meeting was called and you were surprised to hear how thick his voice was with upset, clearly more affected by the breaking news than you and his sister. You caved to the urge and leaned forward a bit to try and get a look at him but Jiwoo shot you a sideways glance and you quickly sat back in place.
“Well not exactly.” Mrs. Lee’s voice was soft as always and you watched as she reached across the small space between the seven of you and gently rubbed her sons knee, giving him a soft smile and an encouraging nod. “We will have one last summer with it, mostly for renovations before the new owners come to look at it.”
You knew exactly what she was talking about when she said renovations, hearing your dad complain about the rotting in the deck and the holes in the inside walls for years now but never making the time to fix them.
But you weren’t fully understanding what they had planned for the three of you yet and you wished you had in that moment so maybe you could have come up with an excuse faster. They explained to you softly, attempting to lessen the blow, that you would have to go and stay at the lake house for a few weeks and fix up the place to make it look brand new for the new owners.
You weren’t at all against getting to be up there one last time, breathing in the clear air and having campfires on the sand, but you definitely didn’t want to sign up to spend your summer doing free manual labor.
Your parents left no room for argument and you could see the prepared disappointment on their faces so you offered no reason for it to escape, hesitantly agreeing with the plan and waiting to hear what the siblings next to you had to say about it. Jiwoo was stiff beside you and staring forward at the ground like she was in deep thought, a bad feeling washing over you at her expression.
She proved your suspicions right when she started to explain in a meek voice that she had already made plans for the first month of summer, having completely booked and paid for a vacation near the sea.
Her eyes shifted towards you as she told your parents this and you immediately furrowed your eyebrows in annoyance, knowing right away she was lying and making up an excuse so she didn’t have to come with you until the second half of summer and by then the house would be mostly finished already.
To make matters worse, you didn’t even process the fact Heeseung would definitely not decline considering how much he loved the lake house and that would leave the two of you alone up there.
He seemed to piece it together a few seconds before you did and you saw the realization settle over your parents faces too.
“Woah woah wait, there’s no way I’m going with just her.” He was quick to shut down the idea, sitting up straighter and shaking his head dramatically.
You didn’t say anything in response surprisingly despite the fact everybody in the room tensed up in anticipation for a fight to break out between the two of you. You were a bit dazed from the news of losing a big piece of your childhood and you were also just tired from the day over all, already knowing Heeseung was going to reject before he’d even opened his mouth to do so.
Mr. Lee was sighing and beginning to lecture his son on being an adult and putting your differences aside for something this important but Mrs. Lee was silent and giving you a curious look that you were too afraid to try and decipher.
Eventually it was decided that the two of you would either suck it up and go to the lake house together and work on it without killing each other or you’d face the wrath of four disappointed parents. You didn’t say much about the agreement either although Heeseung had plenty of comments to make and Jiwoo was finding the entire situation pretty hilarious from an outside view.
It had been about an hour since the family meeting and you were still in the Lee’s house, leaning your hip against the counter in the kitchen and mindlessly peeling some potatoes for the stew their mother was making for dinner.
The air was hot and dry like it always was during the beginning of summer, not bothering to creep up anymore and instead it just seemed like one day it was cold and the next you could barely sleep without waking up in a puddle of sweat.
You could hear the bugs outside from the open window, loud and alive with excitement for the new season and the breeze was just barely cooling off your damp skin. Normally this would bring you the same feeling summer always did, a lightness in your chest and a heavy sense of nostalgia everywhere you went.
It wasn’t hard to guess what was dampening your mood and leaving you feeling a bit shut off, the source of the weird emotions just a staircase away upstairs in his room playing video games.
Mrs. Lee was walking into the kitchen and pausing when she saw you although you only met her eyes for a split second before quickly focusing back in on your peeling and chopping. She cleared her throat softly and came over towards where you were leaning on the counter, placing down some lettuce and starting to chop besides you.
“Something put out your fire tonight?” She was asking it casually and her voice was as soft as ever but you immediately understood what she was implying.
You glanced at her from the side of your eye before shaking your head. Mrs. Lee had a certain aura about her that always made you feel like a little kid again, vulnerable and sensitive. As much as you loved your own mother, you always envied your neighbors for having her so close growing up.
“Sometimes it just isn’t worth the argument.” Your words weren’t the least bit convincing considering how forced they sounded coming from your mouth, paired with the fact you’d never once backed down from an argument and they all seemed to be worth it to you up until this point.
You could hear her take a deep self calming breath and your hands froze where they were chopping slowly, bracing yourself for whatever she was planning to say next.
“He means well honey he just… isn’t sure how to get through to you.” She somehow sounded as certain as she did hesitant and you could feel her gentle hand patting the side of your arm softly, leaving you with your poorly sliced vegetables and dimmed fire.
——
Throughout the entire process of packing your bags and mentally preparing yourself to head up to the lake house, you’d completely forgotten the fact you’d have to ride with him the entire five hour car ride there and then back again once it was all over.
He definitely didn’t seem to miss this fact considering he was standing outside leaning against the car with a nasty scowl when you came out, dragging your suitcase behind you and nearly tripping over the step off the porch from its wobbling weight. Your mother was trailing behind to say goodbye but not offering much help when it came to loading up your stuff.
Heeseung luckily didn’t say anything to you when you were approaching, greeting your mom with a gentle but annoyed good morning and staying on the side of the vehicle when you started to attempt to load your stuff inside the trunk.
After a few groans of annoyance slipped out of you, due to the fact your bags kept tipping over back out towards you and refusing to stay still in the neat tower of things Heeseung had packed for himself, he was sighing and making his way back towards you.
You glared at him when he circled around the car, not in the mood to be berated or rushed so early in the morning, especially right before you were stuck in a car together for the entire first half of the day. Your harsh facial expression faltered a bit when he was rolling his eyes and tugging your suitcase out of your grip.
“Just go and get in the car already, you take too long.” He was spitting it at you and harshly side eyeing you before starting to load your stuff up but you didn’t bother to argue considering the gesture was nice enough if you ignored the attitude he always carried.
“Well that was sweet of him.” Your mother was whispering the words to you in a dreamy voice, nudging you softly with her elbow and eyeing Heeseung through the windows.
You paused and glared at her in confusion, a dumbfounded expression and a sneaking suspicion starting to arise considering how weird both her and Mrs. Lee have been acting in regards to the two of you and your complicated, but mostly aggressive, relationship.
“Are you kidding me?” You settled on a bewildered statement instead of grilling her about her weirdness, knowing she wouldn’t give you an answer anyways.
She had given you a shrug that you assumed was noncommittal and then hugged you tight, tighter than she’d ever had and you tensed up a bit at the embrace.
You’d gotten into the passenger seat of the car and tried not to think about how weird the dramatic send off was, tried to focus yourself on keeping calm and not letting Heeseung get to you too early on in your time being forced together. You weren’t exactly sure why you were trying to be the bigger person lately but you chalked it up to being exhausted with the back and forth.
“You’d think she was sending you off to war.” He’d made the comment as he put the car into drive and you glanced over at him, staring at the side of his face, both confused and relieved by the fact he had noticed your moms weird attitude.
“She might as well be.” You didn’t mean to sound so snippy but it was your default setting when replying to him and he didn’t seem to mind the tone, chuckling dryly under his breath and shaking his head in annoyance before focusing in on the road.
He didn’t attempt to talk to you again for another hour or two and you were grateful for the silence, giving you another opportunity at being less confrontational. It definitely wasn’t for his benefit or to be kinder to him, you just didn’t want to constantly be exhausting your energy with the effort it took to keep up with whatever set him off.
Eventually he was pulling off of the main highway and turning into a gas station that was almost completely barren, stuck in one of those sections of a road trip that was basically just fields followed by more fields.
He was getting out of the car and shifting through his pockets for his wallet before sighing and glancing at you in the passenger seat, watching him from the corner of your eye so it didn’t seem like you were staring.
“Want anything to eat or drink?” He was asking in that familiar reluctant tone he always had with you and for a second you wanted to snap at him and decline his offer, tell him to just hurry up and get what he needed so you could get back on the road.
You took a small breath instead to steady your emotions before nodding. “Yeah I’ll just… I’ll take a-“
“I know what you want.” He was cutting you off and closing the car door before you could say anything else, leaving you with parted lips and annoyance starting to simmer in the lowest part of your stomach.
You scoffed even though he wasn’t around to hear it and leaned back in your seat, crossing your arms and scowling as you waited for him to return. You highly doubted he knew what you would get from a gas station, knowing he never paid attention to you or your interest outside of finding something to fight about and it just aggravated you further that he would go as far as to ask like he cared just to not let you answer.
He didn’t take long in the gas station luckily or else you’d overthink too much and be on the verge of exploding, sniffing slightly when he slid back into his seat and passed the bag with the snacks in it.
You paused for a second to glare at him before you were taking a look into the plastic and pausing when you spotted your favorite drink and a snack you commonly ate whenever you were stressed out or particularly craving something, mixed in with things you knew he enjoyed.
“What?” He was asking from the drivers seat and he sounded weirdly awkward underneath the familiar attitude. “Is it not right or something?”
“No it’s… it’s right.” You cleared your throat and nodded softly, sitting back in your seat and closing the snack bag after you grabbed what you wanted out of it and balanced it on your lap. “Thanks.”
“Yeah whatever.” It was muttered in his low tone but you caught it anyways, finding it almost as weird as the fact you had thanked him. He was finally starting the car and starting to pull out of the gas station much to your relief and you focused back on looking out the passenger window.
The heat was reaching the point where the low quality AC in the car wasn’t doing much to cool either of you down and once he rolled his window down instead, you took the silent cue to do the same to yours.
It was still pretty dry in the air and the sweat was really starting to make you itch and worsen your mood so you were hesitantly unbuckling your seatbelt so you could sit up more in your spot and pull your sweater over your head, leaving you in just a tank top and you sighed softly in relief as the air immediately cooled down the wetness of your sweaty arms.
You could feel Heeseung’s stare from your left and you glanced at him with furrowed eyebrows, rolling your eyes when he quickly scowled in return before snapping his gaze back onto the road.
It was pretty quiet for the rest of the drive, Heeseung playing the same music you often heard coming from his bedroom or his headphones when you were forced to sit close to each other in a car so you were actually able to recognize them and sing along.
Neither of you said much even when getting out of the car and starting to bring your things in, exchanging quick glares when you reached for the same bag or got in each others way but for the most part you were too relieved to finally be back somewhere that always caused your stress to melt away.
This time wasn’t any different and you took a second before you went inside with your things to take a deep breath, letting the fresh air fill your lungs and listening to the sounds of the water against the shore just off in the distance.
You couldn’t see the lake from the driveway as clearly as you could from the other side of the house where the deck was located but it was just one of those places where you could actually feel the difference in the air and the atmosphere.
“Can you hurry up? There’s plenty of time to stop and do nothing later.” Heeseung was griping at you as he passed by with another load of bags and you scowled at his back, completely removed from the peaceful moment you’d been having.
You decided to just leave it be and finish unpacking, flopping onto your back on your designated bed and panting slightly from the effort mixed with the heat once you were completely finished. Your phone had been abandoned against the span of your stomach but when it started to vibrate, you immediately knew who it was.
“So how’s it going? Have you killed my brother yet?” Jiwoo’s amused voice did nothing but amuse you further although you were struck by how much you missed her teasing.
You could hear the sounds of waves in the distance through her side of the phone, envy settling deep into your gut despite the fact you were also near water. The small lake was a lot different compared to the endless sea she was currently vacationing at, having a nice time with people who cared about her versus you being stuck with her older brother who couldn’t bother even being kind to you.
“We surprisingly haven’t really fought yet.” It came out of your mouth in a hefty sigh and you absentmindedly played with the string of your pajama shorts, pressing the phone tighter against your ear. “Think he’s downstairs getting ready for dinner.”
“Are you going to eat with him then or just hide out in our childhood bedroom?” She was asking it like it was a question but you both knew the answer already, the same accusatory tone that she always had heavy in her voice underneath the knowing smile you could practically see in front of you. “He’d probably secretly like it if you ate with him you know, I always did figure he had a crush on you.”
An automatic eye roll came over you at the sound of her baseless teasing. She often made jokes about Heeseung secretly liking you growing up, coming to the conclusion that was the reason he was always so harsh towards you.
You’d told her countless times that that was absolutely ridiculous and there was no way Heeseung liked you, let alone that he was the type of person who thought being mean to somebody was going to get them to like him back. You had seen the types of girls Heeseung brought home occasionally and he definitely knew better than to resort to elementary school level flirting methods.
She was eventually hanging up once one of her friends started to call her name, inviting her to come and swim with them.
You laid in bed for a while after the call went silent, feeling struck again with that weird lonely and nostalgic emotion that you couldn’t quite understand. It wasn’t normally this silent in the lake house, typically filled with doors opening and closing and the sounds of your mothers rushing around the kitchen as they cooked and your fathers cleaned.
As much as you didn’t want to, you couldn’t help but wonder if Heeseung was feeling just as weird about the whole situation as you, if he was downstairs just as lonely and unnerved by the fact it was only the two of you this summer and then nobody ever again. Your mind stuck on that thought process when you started to smell food drifting its way up the stairs and going straight to your empty stomach.
You’d planned to avoid the older boy as much as you could, especially during the first few days, but you were beyond hungry by now and you couldn’t help yourself from standing out of the bed and making your way downstairs.
He didn’t notice you for a few seconds when you first hit the bottom step, watching him for a beat as he casually moved around the kitchen and diverted his attention to three different pots and pans. He was listening to music again, something low playing from the old radio that sat in the lake house year round, and you realized how often you associated him with something soft playing.
You were completely ripped from your thought process when he was turning around and letting out a loud shriek when he saw you standing at the bottom of the stairs, dropping the bowl that was in his hands and doing a little scared hop.
“What the fuck are you doing?” He was spitting out and your mouth parted in surprise, not expecting such an extreme reaction or how loud it suddenly got. “Why are you just standing there like a weirdo?”
“What? I was not, I was just..” You started to defend yourself loudly but gave up midway and let out an annoyed grunt, knowing he wasn’t exactly wrong about what you were doing and you didn’t necessarily have an explanation. “I was just coming to see what you were cooking dickhead.”
He stared at you for a few seconds with a look on his face that you didn’t really understand before he was stepping to the side and revealing the plate with a handful of burgers on it.
You looked at it before you were meeting his stare and a weird feeling passed through you while holding his gaze, not something you often did- especially not willingly. He had cooked enough for the both of you despite his attitude when you’d came down and you weren’t sure if it was intentional or just habit but the act struck you.
The two of you ended up sitting at the table and eating in awkward silence, directly across from him but feeling like he was miles away considering he hadn’t even acknowledged you being in the room once.
You couldn’t help but be hyper aware of the fact you were very rarely alone with Heeseung and this was about as alone as any two people could possibly be. He was a lot less defensive when it was just the two of you and if you didn’t know any better you’d say he almost seemed shy, making you think about the jokes Jiwoo often made.
It’s not like Heeseung was at all ugly, you’d never stoop low enough to make fun of him for something that was so clearly not true.
Especially within the last year or two, he’d completely changed both in build and confidence and you were extremely glad you didn’t have to be around him as much as you did growing up. You disliked him as a human being but you were still a person in reality and he was almost unnaturally attractive.
“Why are you staring at me again?” His voice was low across the table, speaking in an awkward mumble as he started to push what was left of his food around with his fork.
You didn’t bother denying the fact you were watching him even though you hadn’t really realized you were doing it, completely zoned out again. You figured your time in the house together was already going to be awkward no matter what so you might as well ask him what you were thinking about. “Jiwoo says you have a crush on me.”
He completely tensed up for just a split second before he was quickly switching his demeanor and letting out a heavy scoff like he found you ridiculous. You caught the small reaction and your interest peaked, sensing an opportunity to get under his skin.
“Jiwoo also watches too many romance movies.” He was quickly disregarding what you had said with a casual and bored tone but you could tell that he was clenching his fork a little tighter, avoiding looking up from his plate all together.
“So you’ve never once found me attractive?” It rolled off your tongue easily, like you were asking him something as simple as to pass the mashed potatoes, but you gave him a knowing glance from under your eyelashes.
He finally looked up at you once you said this and he seemed taken back by the way you were watching him, the expression on his face telling you he thought you were absolutely crazy for even asking this.
“What? Are you kidding me, of course I haven’t.” He was quick to deny it and you could tell he was getting irritated, hand tightening around his silverware and that familiar clench of his jaw showcasing how much your questions were bothering him. You couldn’t tell if it was because he felt embarrassed or disgusted.
You let out a soft hum of understanding and let the silence sit for a few breaths, watching as he slightly relaxed under the assumption you were done saying weird things.
“I think you’re attractive.” He had been mid bite when you finally spoke again and his body lurched forward almost like he was choking, covering his mouth when he coughed and quickly taking a sip of water to try and force down whatever he had put into his mouth before you nearly killed him.
After he calmed down he was shaking his head at you again although not looking at you, staring down at his plate like he was thinking deeply about something and for a minute you wondered if he was going to take the bait like always or if he was going to just brush you off, making your stay much more awkward.
“My sister put you up to this?” His voice was stone cold now and he clearly was slowly losing his resolve, similarly to you considering what he said had completely thrown you off.
What did Jiwoo have to do with any of this and why would he automatically think that?
“No.” You shrugged like it was a casual conversation but your heart was beating a bit faster now, sensing genuine anger from him and not just annoyance. “I just don’t see the point in lying just because we don’t like each other.”
“You think I’m attractive?” His eyebrow was quirking up now and he was narrowing his eyes, leaning forward in his seat.
He’d finally put down his fork and stopped pretending to be focusing on the food he had barely eaten, elbows on the table and his full attention on you as he waited for you to reaffirm what you had said so confidently a few seconds ago.
The confidence had definitely left your body as soon as you’d said it and actually got his attention, feeling similarly to how you did when he embarrassed you at his party despite the fact the two of you were alone.
Very alone.
Still, you held strong and pushed through the conversation and if your stomach turned at his head tilt when you gave him a small quick nod, you’d pretend it didn’t. There was no going back now and you weren’t sure what direction this scenario was heading towards.
On one hand, you knew Heeseung had to be lying. You definitely weren’t unattractive and he clearly had eyes, ones that settled on you more times than you’d wished you had noticed so he wasn’t oblivious to this fact either regardless if he wanted to pretend he was. He was a teenage boy at one point and you were prancing around his house in short skirts and bathing suits.
And on the other hand, you didn’t think it necessarily mattered.
If Heeseung found you attractive he didn’t have to say it and this would be the ultimate time to completely embarrass you, humiliate even. If he rejected you here, you’d never live it down and he’d forever hold this over you as the time he utterly destroyed your ego in one fell swoop. Plus a large part of you was hoping he wasn’t planning to do that anyways even though you weren’t exactly sure what you wanted out of this.
You had hated the boy across from you for as long as you’ve known the power of the emotion and you’d never let him and his tall build and cute hair distract you from this fact.
But you also weren’t stuck seeing him everyday now. He didn’t live at home and you rarely came around unless you were forced beyond what you could deny so the stakes were a lot less high if he reciprocated what you were saying right now.
“You’re going to have to say it.” His low commanding tone was enough to stop you from overthinking the fact this was a bad idea, an absolutely terrible idea.
It was also enough for you to shift in your chair uncomfortably so you could better squeeze your legs together, watching the way Heeseung’s eyes darkened at the movement even though there was no way he could see what you were doing underneath the table.
“I think you’re attractive Hee, don’t be weird about it.” You were pulling yourself together and standing from your seat then, completely popping the bubble of tension that had started to suffocate you.
He didn’t say anything, thankfully not correcting you on the fact you had definitely been the one who made things weird, but he watched you with a heavy expression as you hurriedly cleaned your plate and disappeared up the stairs with quick footsteps.
——
You were coming to terms with an unmeasurable amount of regret now that a few hours had passed.
The bed had become your official moping place and you stuffed your face so far into the pillow you could barely catch your breath, possibly a self punishment for your humiliating behavior. You’d given up on attempting to sleep and you couldn’t rely on Jiwoo to entertain you considering she was probably busy and you were fearful you’d slip up and confess your sins to her the second she answered.
How do you explain that you’d nearly, just barely, flirted with her brother?
If you could even call it that considering the fact he looked like he was just on the verge of throwing his plate at you the entire time. Still, it had been weird and far too bold on your part and you were strongly regretting your life decisions up until this point.
Eventually you decided that sleep was useless and not coming anytime soon and you might as well make use of the fact you were at the lake house, suddenly remembering the hot tub that was placed around the side of the large deck. It didn’t take long for you to change into your swimsuit and start to head outside but you froze up right outside the slider door.
Considering how cruel the universe had been up to this point, you should’ve expected the fact that Heeseung was already occupying the small pool of water.
You were just starting to take a step backwards with the plan to retreat back upstairs and change again into your pajamas when you decided against it, taking a deep heavy breath before pulling the door open and simultaneously alerting the boy of your presence.
He was nearly all the way in the bubbling water but you could tell he was shirtless, something you’d normally be unaffected by if it wasn’t for the conversation you had. The steam from the hot water mixing with the cold night air was covering his face for the most part but you could see him enough to tell his face had hardened at the sight of you.
His gaze was locked on you for the duration of your walk towards the tub, stopping right outside of it and taking another subtle breath to try to calm yourself down.
“Mind if I join you?” Your voice was rougher than you wanted to be, nearly giving up the fact you were affected by the awkward tensioned air and the way he was watching you still.
He made it worse by not responding out loud, giving you a subtle nod of his head that made your heart rate increase. Still you were following through with the initial goal and climbing over the side of the tub before settling down into the hot water, letting out a sigh of relief and sinking into it until only the tip of your shoulders were above the surface.
Heeseung was still watching you and you were avoiding looking at his side completely, although that didn’t help much considering you could feel his stare on you.
“I’m sorry for making shit weird.”
Well apparently your mouth was planning on getting things out of the way before your brain was.
You looked up just in time to see him cock a brow in your direction, an expression on his face you couldn’t read and you almost groaned in annoyance from how calm he was being about the entire thing. You kept waiting for him to lash out at you and yell about your weirdness, maybe even call your parents and demand Jiwoo came instead of you.
“I don’t think it’s weird.” Instead he was saying this and shifting so his arms were resting on the back of the tub, lifting his torso out of the water more and giving you a better view of the wet streaks going down his neck and past his adams apple. “Unless you didn’t mean it.”
“I meant it.” Your voice was coming out rushed and your eyes were widening a bit, mentally cursing yourself for being so eager to reassure him.
He hummed softly like he had earlier and your stomach flipped again with nerves.
It wasn’t missing you that this was completely out of character for you and totally ironic but you were only human and as much as you disliked him as a person, you couldn’t deny how good he looked with damp hair and his tan skin lit up by the LED’s of the hot tub. He was sexy and always had been despite how much you wished that wasn’t true, and now you were alone.
So you tried to ignore your long history with him as you shifted through the water so you were closer to his side, only a quarter of the way to him now instead of being directly across from you.
He watched you silently for a few beats before he was scoffing and shaking his head like he was judging you, causing your eyebrows to furrow tightly as you stopped moving closer to him.
“What?” You felt embarrassed suddenly at your assumption and prepared yourself for him to make fun of you again, scold you for ever thinking he’d want you closer to him just because he hadn’t made you feel weird about your admission.
“Nothing. I just should have known you liked me.” He was laughing to himself slightly like it was the funniest thing in the world, not at all discouraged by the glare you were sending him. “You totally followed me around all the time, plus you always had that look in your eyes.”
“I do not have a look.” You hissed at him with a sharp voice and this seemed to amuse him even further. “And I never said I liked you don’t be stupid, I just think you’re hot.”
His eyebrows raised up high and his eyes widened in amusement, catching your slip of the tongue as you aggressively spat the words at him. “Oh see you said attractive, didn’t know you found me hot too.”
He was clearly having fun with the whole embarrassing situation and you gave up quickly, leaning against the back of the tub behind you and frowning with your arms crossed under the water in front of you. You stared ahead of you at the bubbles and tried to tune out his low chuckles.
“Don’t get pissy about it.” His voice was filtering over the running jets again and you glanced at him from the side of your eye, surprised to see something that slightly resembled guilt on his face. “If it makes you feel any better… I think you’re hot too.”
This made the corner of your lips turn up into a small smile, something very rarely ever sent in his direction from you. You turned your body to face him again and leaned forward with interest.
“So you lied earlier.” Your voice was more excited than you wished it was but you didn’t fully care, sitting up on your knees a bit. His gaze was dropping down to your chest before meeting your eyes again, losing all traces of humor now that more of your skin was visible.
“Yeah. I lied.” He confirmed in a lower tone and your smile fell slightly, suddenly nervous again. You were used to how he was acting a few seconds ago, making fun of you and feeling angry and embarrassed around him but this was a side of him you had no history with outside of watching him flirt with girls at parties Jiwoo forced him to bring you both along to.
That didn’t stop your body from naturally moving closer to him, drifting along the bench until you were right beside him and you could feel his thigh pressed up against your knee.
Your mouth was parted softly to try to keep breathing around the hot steam and his eyes were seemingly transfixed on it, watching your lips as you wet them instinctively and remaining on them even when your tongue was slipping back into your mouth. You could feel his breath on your face and it struck you that you’d never been this close to him before.
His face was leveled with yours for once since you were still perched up on your knees and he was sitting normally, minimizing the usually very apparent height difference.
He hadn’t touched you or even moved at all but you could feel his skin next to yours and you were hyper aware of his every movement, the subtle rise and fall of his built chest and the way his throat moved with every deep inhale he took. He seemed to be showing some restraint and that made you shift impatiently, teetering towards him until your shoulder was brushing against his.
His eyes shut tightly for a second when he felt your bare skin touching his, mumbling something under his breath before he was looking at you again.
This time his gaze was going all around your face instead of just focusing on your lips, even dropping back down to your bare shoulders and the way your wet hair was sticking to the skin of your neck. He scanned down past your chest to where the rest of your span of skin disappeared under the water.
“Hee.” Your voice was breathy as you finally spoke and instead of cutting the tense moment, it only worsened it and you felt your thighs pressing together again like they had at the dinner table. This time he could clearly see the movement past the bubbles and he stiffened a bit. “Can you touch me Hee?”
You watched him tense even more at the sound of your whiny voice using his nickname, one you didn’t say nearly as much as your friends and family.
He didn’t reject you even though you were starting to think he might considering how restricted he look, instead he was lifting his hand out from under the water and cupping it around your jaw softly. You could feel his thumb rubbing along your cheek, the water from his arm rolling down your neck and disappearing back into the pool of it.
It was almost embarrassing how much it affected you to be touched by him so intimately and the urge to kiss him was too overwhelming, a dizziness settling in from both the heat and the longing sitting harshly in your stomach.
You were so close to each other that you could feel his lips brushing against yours, not quite kissing considering he was rocking softly backwards every few breaths and holding your face tightly so you couldn’t surge forward and get it over with.
Heeseung definitely wasn’t letting go of his habit of teasing you but this felt particularly cruel and prolonged.
“That what you want? Want me to touch you?” His tone was meaner than you expected it to be but you didn’t exactly mind, at all apparently considering the shiver it sent down your back. He was clearly making fun of you and your desperation but if he touched you, you knew you wouldn’t be able to find it in yourself to care.
So you took a deep shaky breath and nodded your head as much as you could while he still held your face, moving your hand so it was touching his bare knee.
Your action took him off guard enough that he lessened his grip for a split second but it was long enough for you to lean forward and press your lips against his for just a second, barely feeling them on yours before he was pushing you back again and your hand was impatiently squeezing his knee.
Another embarrassing whine came from deep in your throat and his eyes flashed with something for a second before he let out another soft hum.
“Can’t do that baby.” He was so close that his lips pressed against yours as he spoke and you completely froze up once his words made sense to your lust dazed brain, just barely processing his rejection before he was letting go of your face and leaning away from you.
You did nothing but watch him in horrified shock as he stood out of the water and left the hot tub, weirdly calm even when your gaze was locking on his bare torso.
He was leaving casually like he hadn’t just did the worst thing you could possibly imagine and you felt hot wet tears of anger spreading rising quickly, completely humiliated and swiftly reminded on why you hated Lee Heeseung so much.
——
As the days continued passing with awkward avoidance on both of your ends, you were struck with the fact that maybe you didn’t hate him as much as you always thought you did.
You’d actually admired Heeseung at points considering he was the oldest out of the three of you and continuously setting a good example despite all the pressure. Some nights you’d leave a heated argument with him and head back inside your own home, laying on your bed with a racing heart and a scowl fixed in your features.
Then you’d hear the strumming of his guitar coming from his house, window wide open and directly across from yours.
The first few times you’d put in your headphones or let out an annoyed shriek as you slammed yours shut, trying your best to tune him out and erase his existence from your mind ; out of sight out of mind.
Eventually you got tired of pretending you weren’t impressed by how smoothly the chords carried over to you, how swiftly he must be moving his hands to produce something so soft and gentle. You’d let it carry you to sleep and for a moment you felt like you were experiencing something together.
You were more naive then, tricked into thinking he ever cared about you enough to even know you were listening, childish and stupid to possibly hope he might’ve been playing for you.
Some sort of apology.
He never was and he made that very clear to you and eventually your embarrassment and shame turned to hide behind anger. It was easier to fight with him, to scream and yell, than to admit that he was hurting your feelings and lowering your ego everytime he treated you so harshly.
The entire situation was extremely frustrating and annoying, almost (but not quite) as annoying as the continuous banging happening directly under your head for the past hours.
With a loud groan, you were getting out of bed and deciding to end your moping abruptly, heading downstairs to see what the workers Heeseung had hired were doing that made that much noise. You slowed your steps as you descended down the stairs, realizing there was a lot more men in your second home than you’d originally expected and they were all moving around at a fast and busy pace.
You’d just barely managed to dodge one of them, carrying a large amount of… something, as you reached the bottom step but in your attempt to move out of the way you were running into an abandoned tool box and spiraling in the other direction.
Your eyes had squeezed shut and your body tensed bracing for an impact that never came, instead feeling yourself smack into someone’s strong and sturdy frame.
“You alright?” You quickly shot open your eyelids to see who it was you’d fallen into, turning red in the face at the concerned look the man holding you was sending down in your direction, still holding you softly and giving your arms a slight squeeze like he was trying to get you to focus.
He watched as you nodded your head softly with wide eyes, helping you steady yourself back on your feet but still holding onto your upper arms like he was worried you’d fall again.
You took the opportunity to scan over his body and your face flushed a bit more at the sheer size of the man and his extremely toned arms, looking away quickly to focus on his feet between yours instead. Heeseung was definitely a large guy too and nearly towered over you but you imagined he’d look tiny in comparison to the one in front of you.
“You sure you’re okay? You look a little red.” He was speaking again in a soft voice that directly opposed his look and you snapped out of your random thoughts about Heeseung.
“I’m okay I promise.” You were nodding quickly and giving him a soft smile, hoping you were convincing enough to make him believe you definitely didn’t need any type of medical attention just because you’d tripped over a box. “Just startled me a little. Thanks for catching me….”
You trailed off while watching him and it took him a few seconds to understand what you were looking for, a bright smile on his face once he realized and filled in the gaps. “Namjoon.”
“Well thank you Namjoon.” His name was rolling off your tongue smoothly and his smile suddenly looked a lot more like a smirk making you a lot more aware of the fact he was still holding onto your arms and standing close to you.
He didn’t get a chance to reply considering the loud sound of someone aggressively clearing their throat was coming from next to the two of you, both your heads turning to see who it was and it was almost comical the way you froze up in sync with each other.
“Shouldn’t you be getting back to work now Kim?” Heeseung’s tone was stiff but you could feel the underlying threat in his words and the man across from you definitely could considering he was immediately letting go of you and taking a few rushed steps backwards, mumbling a goodbye to you before he was disappearing into the kitchen to find a task to complete.
Your shoulders slumped at the interruption but your heart was beating fast looking at Heeseung next to you, recognizing the expression on his face even though it was subtle.
He was absolutely furious, the type of anger that typically caused you to end arguments early or completely stay out of his way. When he got like this you knew it wasn’t the time to poke fun at him or start up any banter, his entire aura becoming a lot darker and less forgiving.
You’d fought with him like this a few times, realizing a little too late that he was in one of his moods and it was those times that he had said the worst things. Things that made the family and friends around you gasp even though they were used to your rivalry, things that caused tears to spring to your eyes as you stormed off to a different room.
“Let’s go.” He was saying it calmly but you felt a chill run over you as he stared at you with fury and disgust, reluctantly following behind him as he left the main living space and entered a small hallway just next to it.
You hadn’t even gotten the chance to explain before he was abruptly turning around and facing you, taking a few harsh steps in your direction until you were backing up and slamming into the wall behind you. Your eyes widened in surprise and slight fear, not understanding why he was suddenly cornering you.
Heeseung moved forward until he was pressing against your body and now your emotions were abruptly changing as you realized what was happening, a wave of heat rushing through you at the feeling of his front leaning onto you.
You were slightly embarrassed he most likely could feel how fast your heart was beating but you couldn’t find it in yourself to care once he was reaching up to grip your face, a lot less gentle than he had earlier in the week when you thought he was going to kiss you.
“So I don’t give you the attention you were begging for and now you’re flirting with the first guy you find?” His voice was low and harsh, completely demeaning you and still watching you with hatred in his eyes.
You hated how much this drove you crazy, the urge for him to berate you and make you apologize for what you had accidentally done arising quicker than you’d even knew had existed and you were a bit dizzy from how much you wanted this.
“Please.” It was rolling off your tongue before you’d realized you were saying it and you barely recognized your own voice, breathy and begging for something you didn’t even understand. His eyes got even darker, if it was even possible, and your stomach lit up with a desperate heat.
“Pisses me off so bad when you do that.” He was practically hissing it at you, voice a low whisper and his hand around your jaw tightened, leaning in so he was speaking to your ear. “Stop being so fucking dumb and use your words.”
You tried to get ahold of yourself enough to find the right sentence to tell him what you want but your mind was completely blank, instead deciding to just arch your back off the wall so you were pressing tighter against him.
Heeseung faltered a bit and his eyes dropped down towards where your stomachs met, watching as you tried your best to roll your hips up to meet his but failed to actually get any sort of relief for yourself.
“Just fucking touch me.” You were finally gasping the words out through clenched teeth and he didn’t waste any time thankfully, surging forward and surprising you by kissing you deeply.
His tongue was pushing into your mouth before you even processed the fact he was actually kissing you and you were letting out a satisfied groan against his lips, letting him lick into your mouth softly and play with his tongue against yours. His hand was wrapping around your lower back and tugging you forward so you were pressing against him the way you wanted to.
A wave of desire ripped through you feeling that he was hard against you and you snuck your hand in between the tight space of your bodies and palmed him through his shorts, smiling at the way he sucked in a sharp breath and stopped kissing you for a second.
Your smile was dropping when he was meeting your eyes and looking ten times more deadly than he did in a daily basis, still glaring at you like he always did but with tenfold the usual fire and tension. That didn’t stop him from pushing his hips against your seeking hand for a few seconds, eventually stopping and letting out a groan as he snatched your wrist off of him and pinned it against the wall behind you instead.
He was rutting into you so hard that you were almost worried the rough materiel of the wall behind you was going cut your back, completely forgetting about it half a second later when he was pressing himself perfectly against your sensitive lower half.
“Keep your fucking mouth shut.” His voice was dangerously low in your ear and you could feel him taking heavy breaths against your neck, panting to try and keep himself quiet.
You were nodding quickly at his command despite the fact he couldn’t see you, curling your hand tightly in his hair and spreading your legs wider so he could continue to slot himself between them and give you just a taste of relief. He immediately took the silent invitation and shifted his hips against yours more, almost bordering painful if it wasn’t so addicting to feel him this way.
Heeseung was clearly struggling to control himself and you couldn’t recall ever feeling this needy for anybody before, something about how forbidden the entire situation was mixed with the life of tension and anger was driving you absolutely insane and you didn’t seem to be alone in it.
“You want me to fuck you here?” He was picking his face up out of your neck to look down at you and check your reaction, his eyes hazy and dark with his lips parted and swollen like he’d been chewing on them. “Where anyone can hear you begging for me?”
“Who said I’m going to beg?” You were trying to snap back at him but your voice came out weak, nearly a desperate whine that got louder when he was shifting against you again.
“Sure seems like it, the way you’re spreading your legs for me already.” His big hand was sliding down past your waist and cupping underneath your bare knee, hiking your leg up harder and rolling his hips against you so deliciously you nearly collapsed as a stuttered moan ripped through you.
You immediately took your hand out of his hair and covered your mouth with it, eyes rolling back a bit at the feeling of him shifting his hips against you and practically dry humping you right there against the wall.
Knowing that the house workers were only a few feet away and walking around completely clueless about what they might walk into was only making you more desperate for him and you didn’t care how out of character it was for you. At this point you would be willingly to let him take you in front of anybody who wanted to watch, leave you shaking and crying for him in public.
He didn’t need to hear you say it to know this, a cocky look on his face underneath the fucked out expression he already had.
“Always running this pretty mouth.” He was speaking again in that same low tone but he seemed completely out of it, almost like he was talking to himself and not you. His free hand was gripping your face, squishing your cheeks together so your lips were puffed out and your eyes were wide. “Should’ve known you wanted me to stuff it.”
An embarrassing wave of want washed over you again at his words, nearly drooling at the thought of him shoving his cock in your mouth to get you to stop back talking. It would’ve felt more humiliating if it wasn’t for the way his eyes were completely frozen on your mouth like he was thinking the exact same thing.
You couldn’t resist the urge to tease him more and your tongue was sticking out softly before you’d even realized you were doing it, causing him to loosen his rough grip on your face a bit to allow for it to push past your lips. You were staring up at him with big wet eyes and your tongue on display, silent waiting and begging for something you hoped he’d understand.
Thankfully he did and he was only hesitating for half a second before he was picking his head up more and spitting down into your mouth.
Heeseung didn’t even give you a chance to swallow before he was following the spit with his tongue, licking along yours and cleaning up his own mess before you were pulling him back into a kiss and sucking him deeper and deeper into your mouth. It was completely filthy, the nastiest kiss you’d ever shared with somebody and you were terrified you’d become addicted to the feeling of his spit on your chin.
“Please Hee.” You were gasping out into his mouth, reaching up to tug on his hair again and get his attention locked on you and your request. “Need you to fuck me.”
For the first time since you’d started, he actually looked hesitant. He glanced down the hallway towards where the dozen of workers were and your heart dropped to your stomach thinking he was going to stop what you were doing, even if it was just to take you upstairs to a bedroom. You couldn’t handle the idea of separating for even a second and you were spreading your legs impossibly wider and touching his face with your shaky hand.
He glanced back at you in question and his eyes darkened again seeing the pure disgusting need on your face.
“You’re stupid if you think I’d fuck you like this.” He was shaking his head in anger and taking a step away from you, one that immediately had your body tensing and your heart aching in upset.
You were instinctively reaching out to try and grab onto him, just about ready to get down on your knees and beg him not to leave you at the peak of your high like that. But the empty look in his eyes made you rethink that decision and you just stood there in shock as he gave you one more angry glare before he was exiting the hallway and leaving you alone inside of it.
It was even more pathetic considering the way your entire body slumped against the wall before sliding down it and ending up on the floor with humiliation completely smothering you, knowing you only had a few breaths to wallow in your embarrassment before needing to get up and go back to your room.
You’d completely retracted back to your bed again after that and this time not even the smell of food or the sound of annoying construction could get you to go back downstairs and risk running into him.
Jiwoo had called you three times every hour before she finally gave up and instead sent a thread of text messages that you promptly ignored. You were overly paranoid that she’d find out what had happened, like even the sound of your voice would give away the fact you’d made out with her brother since she last heard from you.
If you hadn’t hated him fully before than you definitely did now because there was no way you’d still want Lee Heeseung after he embarrassed you like this.
You didn’t think he would tell anybody considering he’d get just as much heat for it as you would, if not worse since he was older and supposed to be taking care of you and his sister at all times in your parents minds. But the interaction staying a secret was almost worse in your mind, a private thing between you and him.
Nothing could have convinced you to leave the comfort of your familiar bed until the wind of the sea lightly blew back the curtains and gave you a small glimpse of the sunset raging outside.
You let out a big breathy sigh, realizing now how much time you’d been wasting moping around about a stupid boy when this was your last summer ever getting to experience sunsets this bright and air this fresh. Heeseung definitely wasn’t sat in his room caring about you and how he hurt you so why should you be?
It was almost completely dark by the time you made it down to the beach but you didn’t regret coming, the lake looking long and endless now that you couldn’t see the other side.
You remember it seeming a lot scarier when you were a kid, before you’d ever seen the real sea and back when you and Jiwoo used to dare each other to swim out as far as you could before seaweed grabbed at your ankles and spooked you back to shore.
Your heart ached with how much you missed her and you were pulling your phone out of your pocket and putting it to your ear without another breath, playing in the sand with your free hand while you anxiously waited for her to pick up and talk to you. You didn’t have to wait long considering she was answering after the second ring and you let out a breath of relief.
“Finally, I was starting to think you’d really killed eachother.” Her voice was sweet as ever and a wave of fondness and nostalgia hit you even harder, laughing softly but not fully answering her yet.
For some reason the sound of her light joking mixed with the waves from her side of the phone was bringing tears to your eyes and you didn’t need to say anything for her to understand you were feeling something heavy. You both stayed silent and you hoped she figured you were just upset about leaving the lake house behind and didn’t create her usual conspiracy theories.
“You okay over there? I can come early if you need me to.” Your friend was doing her best to reassure you without knowing why you were upset and you wiped your now running tears with your sleeve.
“I’m alright, just feeling a lot of things right now I think. Are you having fun?” You weren’t exactly lying in your answer which was good considering you didn’t want to lie to her anymore than you already had to.
“I’d be having more if you were with me but you already know that. Can’t believe my brother gets to spend more time with you than I do.”
Your heart sunk a little at the mention of the exact reason you were crying and you were sure how to respond to her without giving too much away. She could read you even over the phone so you knew she might’ve felt the energy shift now that she’d brought her brother up, sniffling a bit and letting the sand run through your fingers.
She talked a bit more about her vacation and how much fun being at the sea was after so long and you listened to her excitedly chatter, letting out soft hums every once in awhile to assure her you were still listening.
You actually were but a large part of you was still thinking about Heeseung and what he might be doing back up the hill inside the lake house. You wondered if he felt guilty for you hiding in your room or if he had even realized you weren’t inside anymore.
Jiwoo was eventually bidding you a goodnight and making you promise to answer her the next time she called on the first ring, sounding a bit heavier when she was saying goodbye and hanging up the phone. You hated that you didn’t feel the typical happy buzz that your bestfriend typically brought and more tears made their way down your cheeks.
You sat like that on the shore for another hour, watching the waves roll and crash onto the sand just a few feet away from where you were sitting.
It was putting you in a sort of trance, so many thoughts running through your head that you weren’t even able to pinpoint where one started and another ended.
You were so deep in your own head that you didn’t at all hear the calls of your name from up the hill, starting off mildly confused and concerned but escalating to full on desperate and panicky shout when they were met with no response. You certainly didn’t hear the footsteps coming down the large wooden steps from the back deck or when he breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing you on the beach.
“There you are.” Your back tensed at the sound of his voice and the soft tone in which he mumbled the words. “I thought for a second you’d gone back home.”
He was coming to sit beside you on the sand, just close enough where you could feel his body beside yours and the wind carried over his familiar scent but still too far to touch.
Which was for the better in your opinion.
You ignored him even though you could sense his stare on the side of your face and embarrassment was hitting you in rough rolling waves, hoping that the moonlight wasn’t quite bright enough to give away the large tear streaks down your cheeks or how red your nose had gotten from crying.
“Hey, I’m sorry about earlier.” His voice was still soft which was doing absolutely terrible things to your heart and you shook your head slightly, pulling your lip between your teeth to stop yourself from letting out another sob. “I’m sorry about everything in general.”
He was turning to face you more and you braved up enough to spare him even the slightest glance, seeing pure guilt and turmoil on his face.
Meeting your gaze was enough for him to realize how upset you truly were and he was sighing before scooting closer to you in the sand and putting one of his warm hands on your bare arm, now cold from sitting out in the wind for so long. You instinctively leaned into his touch and his other hand gently gripped the side of your face so you couldn’t look away again.
It was such a jarring difference from how he’d touched you earlier, from how he touched you your entire life actually.
“I didn’t mean to be so mean so you or leave you there like that I just… I just panicked I think.” He was rambling now and stuttering through his words, something you knew he often did whenever he got in trouble when you were younger. “You think about something happening for so long and then it actually does and it’s so much more different than you thought, n-not that it wasn’t good I just mean that…”
He trailed off and sighed again and you squeezed your eyes shut to try and ignore the desperate urge to just kiss him and shut him up.
You knew you needed to hear whatever he had to say and he definitely needed to say it, he long overdue owed you a few hundred apologies and it was a lot more than the fact he’d left you high and dry earlier.
It was all the times he glare at you and stolen a smile off your face and every argument you ever had that left you stricken with angry tears and storming out of a room, the embarrassment of being told off at his graduation party and even worse the fact he didn’t kiss you until he was driven by jealously.
“I’m just so sorry.” He seemed like he was ending his monologue there and you gave him a heavy look, slightly nuzzling into his hand before placing your own over it. “Say something please?”
“I don’t know what I’m supposed to say.” Your words were more honest than you expected them to be but his eyes softened when your voice came out weak and croaky, the full expanse of your hurt getting more obvious by the second. “I’m just confused.”
You were turning slightly so you were facing him more and you were certain the two of you looked a bit ridiculous, sitting criss crossed directly opposite of each other with your knees touching and his hand holding your face still, only moving to push some of your hair out of your face.
“I am too.” He was whispering now and you felt the full effect of it low in your stomach, a soft smile on his face now that you were opening up to him a bit more.
Heeseung had never left your life and it was a lot easier to list out all the terrible moments you’d had with him over the softer times, glimpses of days where he’d had a smile just like this wether it was in your direction or not.
He’d been there every time you called for a ride even if he complained about it most of the way home and you’d never stopped listening in extra hard whenever you heard his sweet dorky laugh coming from a few rooms over. You must have been blind to what your mothers had clearly started seeing a long time ago but little things this summer had made you reconsider how deep your dislike for each other goes.
You’d long hesitated to fight with him, starting to rethink your quick jabs and your constant attitude whenever he walked into a room and clearly he’d picked up on more than you ever realized, obvious by him so easily knowing your comfort snacks or the way to calm you down.
“You know,” Your eyes snapped back up to his when he started to speak in a low voice as you waited to hear what he had to say. He looked a bit nervous, like he was about to confess something and you gave him your full attention. “When we used to fight as teenagers, I’d always feel so terrible for making you storm home. Even started playing guitar with my window open so you could hear it.”
Your entire world view shattered just off of that simple admission alone and a heavy sob interrupted whatever else he was going to say, his eyes widening in surprise for just a moment before you were leaning over onto him fully and throwing yourself into a tight hug.
He eagerly accepted although not understanding the true weight he’d just released from your shoulders and you felt him let out a big breath of relief now that you were in his arms, his hands rubbing up and down your back as you cried softly.
You didn’t need to hear him say that he felt the same way that you did, as confusing and scary as it was after projecting your anger onto each other for so long. Your heart tore up thinking about that young girl in her bedroom just holding onto the silly childish hope that the boy next door was actually playing for her, now knowing it wasn’t foolish at all and he’d been right there hoping she was listening.
It hurt you to think about how much time you’d wasted carrying on a childish feud and how whatever this was had started off being such a disaster of jealously and toxic back and forth.
But you were immediately soothed by the never wavering feeling of his arms wrapped tightly around you and the gentle sound of the waves crashing on the shore, spending one last summer on the beach that raised you and creating your first one with the boy you loved.

UGH I LOVE THIS

Matt Sturniolo x Reader
Summary: In which Y/n brings Matt to her family reunion
Warnings/Notes: She/her pronouns
Requested? Yes!
Dress Up
Bringing Matt home with me for my annual family reunion was insisted upon by my parents. My whole family absolutely adored him, always asking me to bring him around more. Hence why now, here we were, about a ten minute drive away from my grandparents home, where everyone would be meeting.
Having never met my extended family before, it was understandable for Matt to be nervous. He held my hand as he drove, lightly brushing his thumb over my knuckles every few seconds.
“You okay?” I ask, squeezing his hand lightly.
He looks over at me, trying to hide his nervous expression. “All good.” He says.
I nod, turning my attention back to the road. “You don’t have to stress, everyone is gonna love you.”
He chuckles. “If I can win your dad over, I’m sure I can do anything.”
I roll my eyes. “Please.” I say. “You never had to win him over. He was practically calling you ‘son’ before he even met you.”
“Right.” Matt laughs.
Siri breaks our conversation, telling us to turn left and our destination would be on the right. As we pulled into my grandparents drive way, a wave of nostalgia hit me. The long gravel path leading to an old white plantation house surrounded by the most beautiful flowers. I had helped my grandmother plant different flowers in her garden for many Summers when I was younger. The neatly trimmed hedges wrapping around the edge of the porch that my grandfather always insisted on keeping up himself because “nobody else could do the job right.”
I noticed many other cars parked out front, indicating a lot of my family members were already here. As we parked, I kissed the back of Matt’s hand. “Ready!” I asked.
“For sure.” Matt smiled.
As we walked onto the porch, the sound of laughter could be heard from inside. We didn’t even have a chance to knock before my grandmother opened the door.
“My Y/n!” She said, embracing me. “I’ve missed you so much!”
“Hi, Gran.” I say, returning her hug.
As we pulled away, she noticed Matt beside me.
“Now this must be the young man I’ve heard so much about.” She smiles at Matt.
“All good things, I hope.” Matt chuckles nervously.
I laugh. “Gran, this is my boyfriend, Matt.”
“Pleasure to meet you dear.” My grandmother says, embracing Matt as well. Pulling away, she smiles at us both. “Well come on, everyone has been asking for you.”
Walking instep with my grandmother and Matt slightly ahead, she leans in and whispers softly. “He’s handsome!”
“Oh, Gran!” I laugh.
“I’m serious!” She says. “If I was only 60 years younger, I’d give you a run for your money.”
As we walked into the crowded parlor, we were greeted by a chorus of “Hey” and “Welcome home”. A lot of family come up to me, since the last time I had seen most of them I was young. Most of them were eager to meet Matt, having heard I was dating a “famous Los Angeles boy”.
Excusing myself for a moment, I go grab a couple waters for Matt and I from the kitchen.
“Oh hey, Y/N.” My aunt says, seeing me enter. Her and a collection of other family members were working on tonight’s dinner, the smell immediately making me hungry.
“Smells great in here.” I compliment, grabbing two bottles of water from the fridge.
“Thanks!” She beams at me. “Oh, your cousins are around here looking for you. They wouldn’t stop talking about how excited they were to see you.”
I laugh. “I’ll keep a look out for them.”
My aunt and uncle had two twin girls, Charlotte and Katherine. They had just turned six and they were adorable. I had spent a lot of my youth babysitting them, resulting in me having an older sister relationship with the girls.
Walking back to the parlor, I notice most of the family had gone to the back yard. Scanning the yard, I cannot seem to see Matt anywhere. I grab my phone to text him, but then I hear giggling coming from down the hall followed by a deeper laugh that I recognize to be Matt’s.
Walking down the hall, I notice the light in the playroom is on. I hear a few voices coming from inside.
“We’re going to make you look so pretty.” I hear a young voice that I recognize to be Katherine’s says.
“Oh, really?” Matt asks.
“Yes!” Charlotte assures. “Y/n is going to love it!”
I peek in the doorway to the playroom to see Matt sat on the floor, with my cousins braiding his hair. I notice he has a few hair bows in, along with a feather boa around his neck.
I giggle softly, watching my cousins give him a makeover.
“Can we paint your nails?” Charlotte eagerly asks.
Matt looks down at his nails, the old paint peeling off of them.
“I think I’m in need of a manicure, so sure!” Matt agrees.
“Kat, grab the princess stickers and pink polish!” Charlotte demands.
Hearing this, I accidentally laugh too loud, giving my position away. All three of their heads whip in my direction.
“Y/N!” Charlotte and Katherine say in unison, running up and hugging my legs.
“Hi, girls.” I say, bending down to hug them. “I see you’ve stolen my boyfriend.”
“Don’t you think he looks pretty?” Katherine asks, motioning towards Matt.
“I think he looks gorgeous.” I say, making eye contact with Matt, who chuckles softly.
“We were going to paint his nails, do you wanna help?” Charlotte asks.
“Of course!” I say, eagerly.
“Yay!” Both girls say in unison.
Sitting down, we begin painting Matt’s nails a bright shade of pink, complete with princess stickers on every other finger. When we were finished, we slowly walk Matt over to the mirror to check out his new look.
“I look awesome!” Matt says, bending down to the girls level. “Thank you, girls.” He opens his arms for a hug, as both girls practically tackle him.
I smile softly, my heart warming at the sight.
“I think next time, we should bring our princess dress for you to wear.” Katherine says.
Matt laughs. “I think that would be amazing.”
“Yeah, but we have to bring the Cinderella dress.” Charlotte says. Katherine raises a puzzled eyebrow. “To match his eyes, duh!”
“What do you think, Y/n?” Charlotte asks.
“I think he would make a beautiful Cinderella.” I smile, causing Matt and the girls to laugh.
A loud voice interrupts our laughter from the kitchen.
“Girls, dinner!” I hear my Uncle call.
“Our dad wants us!” Katherine tells Matt. “But we’ll finish this makeover another day.”
“I’ll be counting on it.” Matt winks, ruffling her hair.
The girls laugh as they run down the hall to the kitchen. I look at Matt, who’s covered in glitter from the feather boa.
“I’ll be their Cinderalla, as long as I’m your Prince Charming.” Matt says, pulling the boa off.
I laugh. “God, you’re cheesy.” I grab his hands, looking at the pink artwork on his fingernails. “I can’t wait to have this life with you one day.”
He pulls me into a hug, covering me in glitter. “I promise, one day, we’ll have all of this.” He says. “Every day.”
I lean back, grabbing one of the braided strands of hair. “I’m really digging these braids, though.”
“Yeah?” Matt laughs.
“Yeah.” I smile, pressing a small kiss on his lips.
“Now c’mon, I’m starving!” I say, leading him to the kitchen.
Matt stops on his tracks. “What, dressed like this?” He asks.
I smirk. “What, you embarrassed?”
“Never.” He replies, putting his boa back on before we exit the playroom.

Snowball and Jealousy
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hello everyone!
As chosen in the survey, here is a Christmas story with Leah Williamson! I hope you like it:) I imagined it in the same world as Fire and Ice 1 and 2.
Also it's longer than I first thought.
Happy reading!
TW: Still none.
Tumblr media
You started dating Leah a little over a year ago, a few weeks before Christmas. Both felt it was too early to officially introduce yourself to your respective families, so you flew to Norway, your home country, to reunite with your family and spend the holidays with them. That didn’t stop you from thinking about Leah about every secondm and you had to refrain from harassing her with messages. You know very well how much the blonde cares about her family and how much she cherishes the moments spent with them.
This year, though, you’re going to spend Christmas with the Williamsons. You have already met Leah’s parents, brother and grandparents, but it’s true that you have not yet met everyone officially. I mean, that was before you walked into the huge house of one of her aunts, with almost all of the Williamsons. Hearing the noise, you instinctively take back a few steps, despite your hand tenderly entwined in Leah’s. She laughed at you and your sister-in-law patted you on the shoulder.
"Don’t worry, you’ll get used to it" she told you before Leah laid a kiss on your cheek.
"Let’s go find my grandmother" Leah says, and you agree.
It was a long way to get to her. You probably had time to greet everyone in the room before you got to her. You don’t have a large family on your side, your parents have made the choice to have three children because they themselves were only children. So you don’t have any cousins, while Leah has so many that you can’t remember all their names.
"Oh, my favorite, finally!" said the old woman, joyfully, holding out her arms in your direction.
You smile at her and willingly give her a hug letting go of Leah’s hand for the first time since you arrived.
"Well hello to you too Nan" says Leah sarcastically before kissing her grandmother.
You exchange a few words with her, which you appreciate very much. You miss your family when you are in England and she quickly took the role of the grandmother of heart. Which Leah seems to enjoy immensely, despite her teasing.
"Let’s go find our place" Leah said after a few minutes, when her aunt asked everyone to sit down.
You follow her closely and you have no trouble locating your seats, next to Jacob, Leah’s brother and his girlfriend. There you meet new cousins of Leah and you find yourself quickly to be part of their conversation. After the second entrance, you noticed that a girl around you and Leah’ age look in your direction very often. The first times your eyes crossed you thought it must be a coincidence, but with the passing of time you are not so sure.
"Who is it?" you discreetly ask Leah, leaning in her direction.
Leah’s gaze briefly flies in the direction you show her before she rolls with her eyes.
"Hailey, a cousin. We never got along, we only see each other at Christmas"
The answer makes you gently frown, you thought Leah loved every member of her family deeply. Seeing your look, Leah smiles at you and kisses your cheek, whispering that she will explain to you later. You nod again, putting your hand on her leg.
"Christmas games!" Leah’s uncle happily screams after everyone’s entries are over.
A big smile appears on Leah’s face, a smile you know well. The same as when someone offered a game of Fifa, the same one she has before a game of Uno. The one who announces that she will take the competition to heart and who amuses you a lot. Leah’s competitive spirit is known to everyone, as is her bad losing side. It amuses you a lot, especially when you have to cover her with hugs and kisses to cheer her up when she lose.
You smile a little less that said when the draw separates you from her. Luckily you find yourself with Jacob’s girlfriend, Joanna, as well as Hailey. You have unfortunately forgotten the names of other people, except James who is one of the children of his cousins.
"So you’re Leah’s new girlfriend?" Hailey says as you watch Leah’s team thrown into a game of Piccionnary.
"They’ve been together for a year and a half, I wouldn’t use the term new" laughs Joanna, sitting on the other side of you.
You nod and just smile, not taking your blonde out of your eyes. You smile as you see her little dance of joy and you find yourself letting your eyes slide over a particular part of her anatomy when she leans over to take a pen. Of course, this is the time she chooses to look back at you. Her amused smile and arched eyebrow make you understand that she perfectly understood what you were doing. You smile back and shrug, who can blame you for ogling your girlfriend?
"You’re from Norway, right?" asks Hailey
You turn your attention to her to answer her, also answering the questions she asks you about your native country. You could talk about it for hours. You’ve taken Leah twice already there and you can’t wait to leave for a whole week with her at least in January. You have to admit that you get a little lost in your conversation and you wonder why Leah and she don’t get along. She looks pretty nice. You don’t notice that says Leah’s upset look at you from a distance.
When the game is over, Leah quickly makes her way to you and puts her two hands on the armrests of your chair to lean over you.
"Come breathe some fresh air with me?"
"With pleasure" you smile
Leah doesn’t back down when you get up even if she gets up when you do. Your lips ghost hers, causing electric currents throughout your body. Your smile expands and you let her willingly put a kiss on your lips, before grabbing your hand to train you in the snowy garden. All of that, ignoring her cousin with perfection.
Children, dressed from head to toe, run and play, shouting joyfully. A soft smile appears on your face this time, the memories of your winters in Norway coming to mind. Since there are fewer people, you allow yourself to put your two arms around Leah’s waist and let yourself go against her. A year and a half has passed and you still find it frustrating not being able to touch her as much as you would like. But Leah is more of the kind to be discreet without being secret and you obviously respect her choices. On the other hand, you don’t see yourself going into an intense kissing session in public.
Leah puts her arms around you and puts several kisses on your face.
"Great victory" you do mischievously.
"As if it was going to happen otherwise" Leah replies with a goofy grin.
"I’m disappointed though, I won’t need to give you dozens of kisses to make you forget your defeat."
Leah laughs and you look up at her with a smile on her face. You love her laughter and being the reason of it.
"So, what’s the deal with Hailey?" you ask after a few minutes.
"Nothing special except she spent her teenage years flirting with my girlfriends or crushes and trying to steal them from me." sighs Leah, frowning. "It worked one time"
"Oh" you mumble while playing with her sweater. "She even tried with Jordan?"
"She never met Jordan. The first time she was in Australia and then Jordan was in her family. I didn’t really want them to meet, to be honest."
"Why?" you ask while frowning.
"I didn’t particularly want to see my girlfriend get picked up by my cousin."
The answer is logical, but your question involved something else. Leah has always been very honest with you about her relationship with Jordan. But you have to admit that to see that some people always seem to regret their relationship while you don’t hide yours… It’s painful. It obviously has nothing to do with a confidence you wouldn’t have in Leah, quite the contrary. You have complete and complete confidence in her. But your mind doesn’t wait à second to play with you. Are you less important on Leah’s life than Jordan was?
"Why am I here then?" you whisper after a moment of silence, trying to ignore the strange sensation in the pit of your belly.
"I thought she would have changed over time" sighed Leah "I was wrong."
Your insecurities give way to misunderstanding this time. You rise your eyes again, so that you can observe her at best.
"What are you talking about?" you ask while frowning.
"Oh please Babe, don’t tell me you didn’t notice her little game"
"We were just talking about Norway?"
You are lost and you look at Leah without understanding what she means. The pretty blonde looks at you a few seconds before smiling and rolling her eyes, realizing you aren't playing with her.
"It’s true that you have trouble realizing when someone is interested in you, I practically had to jump on you in a hospital bed for you to realize it"
You pout, even if your memories of that moment are intact in your memory. Like your first kiss, for that matter.
"When someone talks to you looking into your eyes, leaning in your direction with a hand on your arm or your knee, it’s an seduction attempt, Y/N."
"Oh."
Leah rolls her eyes again and smile before biting the corner of your jaw with a playful air on her face. You shove her elbow playfully, trying to escape her hold. You finally succeed, running away. Your feet slide on the snow trampled by others before you, but you manage to get away from Leah, passing the corner of the house. Knowing that you will not be able to walk away for a very long time, you take advantage of the few seconds that you have to take a handful of snow and turn it into a ball.
When Leah appears at the corner of the building, you send her the snowball, aiming a little too well since it arrives in full head. Fortunately, you didn’t squeeze the ball too much and the snow spread quickly in all directions and doesn't hurt her. It doesn’t seem to soften Leah, who stops dead and looks you right in the eyes.
"You’re so dead, Darling."
You swallow. You're so dead.
"I’m sorry?"
She resumes her race to catch you and you try to keep her in distance but she managed to catch you after a few meters, tackling you in the snow. The cold and humidity make you squeek, but it doesn’t stop Leah straddling your waist.
"I thought the Norwegians weren’t afraid of the cold?" said Leah maliciously, leaning over you.
"I never said anything about the snow getting in my clothes"
Leah laughs and throws you a handful of snow in the face to make a good figure and not show how much she has a soft spot for you. She has a reputation to uphold after all. But that doesn’t stop her from helping you rise up and take you back against her right after. You sigh at ease while putting yourself against her, your face in the hollow of her neck.
"I’m glad you’re here" said Leah after a few seconds, her lips in your hair.
"Yeah?"
"Mhm" she hums softly. "Just remind me to make sure to keep you away from Hailey next time."
"Will I really need to remind you?"
Your request is made with a small laugh and you lift yourself from her to look at her with amusement. Jealousy is a trait that you didn’t prepare for in her. But since you consider it a proof of love, it’s far from disturbing you. She’s jealous, but not so possessive. The difference is important to you.
"No, certainly not" Leah laughs before kissing your lips. "You’re mine."
"Yours"
You barely have time to exchange a new kiss that a cry of child sounds near you, making you both turn. Covered in snow from head to toe, James seems satisfied to find Leah.
"Lee! Jacob said the Arsenal players suck and then he threw me in the snow!"
"What?! I’m coming!"
Without hesitation, Leah hurries to join James and the Arsenal defenders in the snowball battle that began outside the house. When you come back with Leah’s coat, she’s already soaked, but she accepts it with pleasure. Her gloves too. And since you’re here, she takes the opportunity to steal a kiss from you before training you in battle. After all, it’s also your duty to defend Arsenal, right?

_________________________________________
“Come on, you three,” you tut towards your mate and his friends. They’re standing before the large glass windows overlooking your backyard. The sun casts deep oranges and reds across the snow-ridden land, your children shrieking as they play in the snow. A valiant snowball fight is running its course, and Azriel, Cassian, and Rhysand stand, faces pressed to the windows as they watch, quietly cheering their children on. “They’re going to notice you staring.”
“Maybe they already have,” Feyre adds from her spot at your kitchen counter. She’s concentrating intently on decorating a cookie, adding swirls of black icing to the gingerbread woman’s hand, creeping up her extended arm. The cookie’s dress is provocative, bare dough legs showing between slats of laced icing. She hardly glances up as she continues, “They’re probably imitating them as we speak.”
Curious, you peek out the window, too. Indeed, Wren and Baz have built a fortress in the snow to protect themselves from the onslaught of snowballs being thrown their way. Gideon and Nyx have joined forces against the two brothers, the latter packing the fluffy snow into tight, white balls, while Gideon launches their ammo towards your sons.
Your eldest daughter, Zuzu, and Nyx’s younger sister, Asteria, had joined the competition early on. They’d been a formidable team too, but grew bored of their brothers and cousin who were taking the snowball fight a little too seriously. Now, they are in the snow with little Castor, who had cried until she’d been let outside by her protective father, bundled up in so many clothes her wings nearly disappeared into the fabric. The girls are making snow angels, though Castor’s looks very much like a circle on the lawn.
Dark streaks dart behind the wall your sons have built and you frown, watching as Baz’s shadows help roll clumps of snow closer, creating perfectly circular snowballs. From what you’d heard from your husband’s friends, using shadows was against any and all snowball fight rules.
You cut Azriel a glance but he’s conveniently occupied, watching the game outside.
“Well, at least they’re both on the same team,” you comment to your mate, who refuses to let his gaze stray from the little boys. Good, he can watch them while he does the dishes then, since there’s a window above the sink. You pat him on the ass, nodding towards the mess of dishes in the sink. He nods in response, loping quickly over to peer out the window again. “So they’ll either both lose or both win.”
“They’ll both win,” Az responds immediately, a quick but pointed look your way. “They do take after me.”
Cassian scoffs behind you and you turn to see a scowling Nesta shooting him a look as he tries to steal a cookie. Jax giggles in her lap at his uncle's antics, but when Cassian hands him part of the cookie and its head falls off, Jax’s smile wobbles. He’s not outside due to the nature of his powers. As an empath, sensing the competitive nature of his siblings and the sting of a snowball to the face, it had been in his best interest to be inside around the luscious scents of cookies and warmth, instead of out in the bitter snow.
Nesta coos, bouncing him, and Cassian is thankful for the distraction, slipping further down the counter to where the High Lord sits, trying—and failing—to gain his mate's attention. The commander slips an arm around Rhys’ shoulders and glares at the back of Azriel’s head, continuing his complaining. “The only reason you’ve won so many is because of those damn shadows, Az.”
Azriel throws over his shoulder, wincing as Baz takes a snowball to the face, his face going red with fury. “How was I supposed to know they were unaffected by the magic restrictions?” he claims, sending said shadows out into the yard once he sees Baz’s slipping through the snow, headed for the icicles hanging off the railings of the porch. His intercept his sons in a display of authority, spearing them into blackened mist. Baz glances up to the window, locking eyes with his father, who wears a look of warning on his face, brow raised. Azriel watches his son visibly huff and take his anger out on the snow, building a ball and launching it across the playing field in frustration.
His gaze cuts across the yard, narrowing his eyes. Gideon and Nyx are crouched low behind their own pile of snow, looking like they’re scheming. He wants to trail his shadows in their direction, listen in on their conversation, but he’s alerted to Malos’ whines from the other room. If one of his youngest is awake, they either both are, or will be soon.
“Malos is up,” Az tells you softly, shutting off the water to the sink. He wipes his hands on a towel and kisses you gently on the cheek. You’re mixing color into icing for the cookies, getting ready for when it’s too dark out for the children to play. They’ll get all cleaned up and have some hot chocolate to warm their bellies, and you, Feyre, and Nesta have baked cookies for all of the children to decorate. “I’ll get them.”
“I’ll join,” Cassian answers, stealing another cookie off of a platter. He dunks it into your icing to the neck, the cookie dripping with sugary goodness as he lifts it to his mouth, shoving it inside. He ducks under your glare. “Gotta go get my baby.”
Cassian and Nesta’s youngest daughter, Sif, had been put down for a nap with both Knox and Malos. She’s still a little too young to be outside without supervision, and the eldest children of the Inner Circle demanded time outside without their parents, probably because they knew their fathers would try and take over their snowball fight had they been outside. They didn’t want any tips or tricks, not even your children, even with Azriel’s hundred of wins beneath his belt.
Jax climbs from Nesta’s lap over Rhys who lets out a harsh exhale when his knee lands a little too close to his private area, and then over to Feyre, who finally sets her cookie down to scoop your middle son in her arms.
“Pretty,” Jax comments, pointing at her decorative cookie. It looks just like her, and there’s one next to it that looks a little like Rhysand. Purple dots for eyes stare up at him. “Uncle Rhysie?”
“Good job, Jax,” Feyre coos, pressing kisses to his cheeks. They pink with a blush and he settles into her arms, looking utterly at bliss. He revels in the warmth of her emotions, the pride surging through her. It feels like warm bubbles in his chest, and he noses at her collar.
“Look who’s ready to party,” Azriel announces, entering the room, arms full with your two youngest children, Malos and Knox. Knox still looks a little sleepy, head resting against Azriel’s shoulder, cuddling into his warmth. His tiny wings are droopy with sleep, and his twin sister, Malos, is already reaching for the cookies.
Nesta is quick to scoop her away from Azriel. She claims not to have a favorite niece, but Malos and her have an understanding. You see more of Nesta in Malos’ personality than any of the children of the Inner Circle, and you’re extremely happy that they have such a close connection.
“Hi baby,” you greet Knox, who is signing mommy to you. You ease him out of Azriel’s arms, who promptly returns to his position in front of the window, pressing exaggerated kisses to his chubby cheeks. It makes him smile wide, flaring those wings that he hasn’t quite figured out how to control. “Are you ready for some yummy cookies?”
His dark eyes light with excitement. Of course your children are ready for sweets, they always are. They picked that up from Azriel, who has the biggest sweet tooth you’ve ever seen.
Cassian reenters the room with his daughter in his arms and Rhys pouts. Almost everyone in the room is preoccupied with a child in their arms, except for him. Maybe he can convince Feyre to have one more. The youngest children in the family are two now and he misses having a tiny babe around.
By the heated look in her eyes, his mate seems to be considering the same, sneaking past those shadowy walls in his mind to catch a glimpse of his thoughts. The High Lord smirks. He sends her over some imagery to go with his thoughts, and her cheeks go red. That hot look turns into one of warning, and she’s speaking out loud now, “Why don’t you call the children inside so they can get warmed up and decorate some cookies?”
“Of course, darling,” Rhys sweeps from his seat in a wisp of darkness.
Breaking a cookie in half, you give part of it to Knox, who signs thank you, munching on the sweet. The other half is passed to Malos as you head towards where your mate is finishing up the dishes, leaning against him for a moment, reveling in all of your family happily together.
“I love you,” Azriel murmurs into your hair, leaning over to sneak a bite of Knox’s cookie. Your son stares up at his father with wide eyes, and like this, he looks just like Az. It makes your heart warm, and Jax squeals in happiness in response, your happiness radiating to him. It makes your grin wider, peeking over your shoulder to see him so content in his aunt's arms.
“I love you too, Az,” you whisper back to him, resting your forehead against his.
It’s a nice moment, until the children from outside are wrangled through the door by Rhys. The boys are arguing about who has won their snowball fight, while the girls are peeling away their winter gear, excited to decorate cookies with icing and sprinkles and the edible petals Elain had given you before her trip to the Summer Court with Lucien.
“Now, now, boys,” Rhys starts, but the diplomatic tone he’s using does nothing to deter the cousins from arguing. “I’m sure we can come to a consensus without yelling and acquiescing.”
“But Baz used his shadows,” Nyx complains, wringing his gloves between his hands in frustration. “We all saw it.”
“Nyxie, don’t be mean to Baz,” Wren counters, brows furrowed. He doesn’t like it when his family argues, especially over trivial things. His heart is so kind. “You can win the snowball fight if you want, but Baz and I are gonna win the cookie decorating contest, right Bazzy?”
“No,” Baz says flatly, dropping his gear onto the floor. You give him a look but he almost seems un-bothered by it, done with the debate his cousins are currently having. “We won the snowball fight and we’re going to win the cookie decorating contest.”
You share a look with your mate, watching the scene unfold. Baz is quite the Stubborn Suriel, no matter what it comes to.
“Dad,” Nyx groans, “Can’t you do something?”
Cassian is the one who comes to the rescue, Castor reaching up at him for her sister. He helps the little one down and the older one with her undressing, peeling her thermals off layer by layer. “It’s not about who won, right boys? It’s about spending time and having fun with the ones you love.”
Feyre, Nesta, and yourself awe at his words, but Azriel and Rhysand are rolling their eyes and muttering under their breath at Cassian’s cheesy words.
“What a kiss ass.”
“Smug fucker.”
“Azriel,” you hiss, turning your body away from him, like that will hide Knox from his vulgar words. “Language.”
He winces, “Sorry love.”
It’s your turn to roll your eyes now, bouncing Knox in your arms a little as you turn fully from your mate. You poke Knox’s belly playfully before addressing the rest of the room. “How about those cookies, then? They won’t decorate themselves!”

🐲 Malleus Draconia 🐲
Tumblr media
It was late at night and you were taking your usual evening walk with Malleus.
The two of you walked in comfortable silence, admiring the scenery of the campus peacefully.
At least it was peaceful before a little girl ran up to you and hid behind your leg, closely followed by two older boys.
"Mama, tell Killian to stop being mean!" the girl cried.
"I barely even touched you!" the shorter boy replied.
"He's pulling on my horns!"
"Am not!"
"Are too!"
"Am not!"
"Hey!" you yelled, quieting the children.
You were quite used to wrangling kids at this point *cough* Grim *cough* so it didn't take more than a stern look to make them behave.
"Who are you kids anyway? Where are your parents?"
The three kids looked at each other in confusion.
"You're right there, mama. If we're playing hide and seek, you're not very good at it," the oldest boy said, confused but playful.
You perked up upon realizing he called you Mama.
You also noticed just then how strikingly similar that boy looked to Malleus.
All three children had dark horns just like the dragon fae but the girl and youngest boy had a hair color and texture more similar to your own.
"They're... Our children?" Malleus questioned, amused.
It wasn't the weirdest magical phenomenon he had witnessed in his years but it was definitely the best to him, considering how you became very flustered at the prospect of having children with him.
"It seems our timelines have gotten muddled. Would you mind introducing yourselves?" Malleus bent down to look the children in the eye.
The oldest beamed and stood up tall.
"I'm Adonis, he's Killian, and Agape is the baby!"
"You're adorable!" You cooed, patting each of them on the head.
You didn't notice Malleus gazing at you lovingly, quite enjoying the quiet domestic moment.
That glimpse of the future fueled his fantasies for many dreams to come.

🐙 Azul Ashengrotto 🐙
Tumblr media
It was more than a shock when Jade called you to come to the Mostro Lounge only to find Azul playing with two little girls.
He lit up when you walked in, only to curl in on himself in embarrassment.
"Y/N, this is Claire and Mia Ashengrotto," he shyly introduced the two girls who waved enthusiastically.
"Your little sisters?"
"Nope."
"Cousins?"
"Uh-uh."
"Nieces?"
"For Seven's sake! They're your daughters from the future, Y/N! Keep up!" Floyd interrupted, sick of Azul's bashfulness.
"Our... daughters?"
"Mum!"
The two girls jumped off of Azul's lap to run to you.
They each hugged one of your legs with the younger one jumping up for you to pick her up.
You obliged and bounced her on your hips while she giggled.
Azul's embarrassment only grew as you smiled so lovingly at the little girl that shared his hair color and the pudginess from his childhood.
He told you how much he wanted to meet the little girls again in the future, but he forgot that he had yet to ask you out.

🦁 Leona Kingscholar 🦁
Tumblr media
It wasn't a great surprise to find Leona napping, but he wasn't usually joined by two little boys.
The boys woke up first and were delighted to see you.
"Imma!"
The older boy, who looked about 11, sat up and reached for your hand. You took it, though you were very confused.
"Abba already told us that you won't know who we are. I'm Amir! Arlow, introduce yourself."
The younger boy rubbed the sleep from his eyes and yawned, his baby fangs showing and reminding you of a certain other beastman.
"I'm Arlow. Hi, Imma."
You giggled at the sleepy little boy and sat down on the bed.
"So you are the children of me and Leona, I suppose?"
"Mhm."
"Wouldn't be the worst husband in the world, I guess."
"I heard that."
You were startled by Leona suddenly speaking.
He had one eye cracked open and a lazy smirk on his face.
"You wouldn't be the worst spouse either, Y/N."
He chuckled, leaving you a blushing mess.
You refused to let him fluster you too much so you retorted.
"Are you sure you would want to marry a nasty herbivore like me?"
"Wouldn't doubt it for a second."
You were about to sputter back a rebuttal but Amir interrupted you with a tug on your arm.
"Imma, stop flirting and come cuddle with us!"
"Yeah, Imma."
Leona smirked at you and snuggled into the bed, an arm around both boys on either side of him.
You laid down next to Arlow, who turned to snuggle into your shoulder.
You guessed it wouldn't be that bad to marry Leona, but only because you want to see Amir and Arlow again obviously.

The first time you see Rafe at the party is when you’re going back inside the house after a smoke break. You have a lit blunt at your lips when you step inside the threshold, and it’s only when you nearly trip on the step that you notice someone struggling past the door in a white tee shirt.
You look up, the end of the blunt glowing red, and he looks down at you. A lock of hair falls into his green eyes, and his lips part in an inhale.
You nearly catch him looking you up and down before breaching the living room and disappearing into the crowd of swaying people.
“Who was that?” Rafe asks nonchalantly, finding his seat on the outdoor sofa next to Barry and some other guys smoking, and Barry shrugs. He bumps a line from the coffee table and sits up, sucking in a breath of air. He wipes his nose and sits back.
“Don’t know. Seems like a cousin or somethin’ of Sarah’s.”
“Dude.” Rafe elbows him, lip curled slightly in a smile. “Sarah’s my sister. That girl is not my cousin.”
“I don’t fucking know, man. Go find out.”
Rafe has a thought to, out of curiosity, and courtesy of his intoxicated brain, but he stays and passes you off as just some girl.
In the kitchen, you swing open the fridge door and grab a beer bottle. It’s your alcohol of choice after getting high, and it tastes so sweet when you knock back half the bottle before finding your way upstairs for your grinder.
Rafe sees you in an upstairs window upon a glance at his surroundings, and his eyebrows furrow.
You find the grinder, throwing it onto your bed and setting down your beer on your bedside table. You rip off your tank top from the hem roughly, turning your back to the window. Rafe’s knee starts to bounce when he sees your bare shoulder blades shift.
“I need a line.”
You trade your previous shirt for a flannel, fastening only the middle few buttons. You leave your cut off Dickie’s shorts on, popping the button when the waistband feels too tight. You gather your things, slipping on some shoes, and bypass the line for the bathroom on the way to the stairs.
You smile briefly at Sarah Cameron, knowing she didn’t want to go out tonight. You also know her older brother is here, which means the sentence for getting caught ingesting the drugs that are at this party just doubled.
He’s been known as a coke head ego-maniac, but you always thought he was kind of cute.
You push the patio door out again, paraphernalia in hand, and find your spot on the ground next to a side table. Rafe stares at you for a second then looks away. He can’t. Not tonight. Way too many stimulants in his blood.
You get to grinding your weed, taking a couple swigs of beer to keep up the buzzing in your chest. You grab a rolling paper between two fingers and expertly deposit the ground (and maybe some keif) weed into it, fingers curled.
When Rafe looks over, you’re using your tongue and then he has to look away.
You stand, joint rolled, and cup a hand around your mouth before lighting the end of it. You turn, dropping the lighter onto the coffee table and turn to Rafe.
“How’re we feeling tonight, boys?” You ask, eyes heavy, and bring the joint to your lips. Rafe blinks and Barry saves him—
“Really good.” He drags out the last syllable of the first word, eyes briefly rolling back into his head. “Do you know whose house this is? Because I have to pee and I’m about to piss in that fucking pool, bro.” He laughs dumbly, gold tooth flashing, and you just shrug.
“Go right ahead.” Smoke curls out of your mouth and back into your nose, and Rafe knows he can’t resist you.
Barry throws down the baggie he’d been holding onto the coffee table and moves to stand, but Rafe beats him to it.
“It’s her fucking house. Gimme a sec.” He stands, all 6’2” of him, and fixes you with a slightly serious look before tromping back into the house and up the stairs. You hear him shout something about “getting the fuck out before I fuck you all the fuck up”.
You shake your head, an easy smile forming around the filter of your joint, and take another heavy drag. Egregious asshole.
“Don’t piss in the pool,” is all he says when he emerges with a red face, slapping Barry on the shoulder, and sitting back down. Barry whoops, sliding past you, and disappears inside.
You watch Rafe empty a line’s worth of coke onto the coffee table from a baggie, retrieving a credit card from his pocket and lining it up right. He pinches a nostril and is about to take it all until he hears your lighter flicking and his focus is broken. He looks up at you, lips parted, and looks you over with a tinge of hesitation.
“Is, uh—is it okay if I—?”
You gesture to the coffee table with your joint, pursing your lips.
“Go right ahead.” You fold your arms and take another large hit, your throat burning, and hold eye contact. He brings his head down and sniffs it all in one quick inhale, instantly throwing his head back and closing his eyes.
He pants for a second, vision going bright, and shakes his head furiously.
“You mind?” He asks, holding out a large hand, and glances at the peek of skin your unbuttoned shirt grants him. You have a freckle on your right boob.
“Not at all.” You grin, passing it to him, and pretend to look around as his lips pull hard and he closes his eyes again in euphoria.
“Thank you,” he murmurs, taking another hit before passing it back and relaxing back on the couch. His legs unconsciously spread, and his hips jerk in getting comfortable. You pretend to not notice this.
You’re nearly finished with smoking now, and perch yourself on the edge of the couch to tap it out on the ashtray on the table next to it. Rafe admires the side view of your tits when the fabric of your shirt slightly opens and a sliver of skin is bared to the moonlight. His arm finds itself on the back of the couch, fingers twiddling with the ring on his pointer finger.
“You think Barry is drowning in the toilet right now?” He asks, a lazy smile growing on his pink lips. You cough out a laugh, turning to him and sucking the life out of that roach. He turns slightly more serious, zeroing in on your lips, but then blinks furiously to clear his thoughts.
“Probably. Knowing him he’s already sprayed my mother’s wallpaper with vomit.” You snort and flick the roach onto the ashtray. You hunch in an uncomfortable looking way, sighing into the night air, and Rafe pats the spot next to him without thinking.
You slide into the offered seat and draw your legs up to your chest.
“Oh, fuck, my beer!” You exclaim and find your feet to grab the forgotten bottle from a table. Rafe shakes his head amusedly. You sit back down with a content sigh, taking a swig, and lean back into the ridge of the couch. Right on his hand, actually, and he almost moves it before you get comfortable, but he doesn’t.
It’s nearly intimate, which he hates, but still doesn’t move. You blink a couple times, trying to get him in focus, and stare lazily at his nice face.
“You having a good time?” You ask, suddenly timid and concerned, and he nearly laughs.
“Yeah,” he says, overly chipper. He winces. “I’m having a great time.”
“Good,” you sigh, and close your eyes. He reaches his other hand to scratch at his bicep, and you get a whiff of his cologne. Sweet and musky.
“What’s your cologne?” You ask, suddenly awake, and lift your head from his hand. It stays in its spot.
“I don’t know,” he mutters, chewing his lip. “Something my dad has.”
“Mmm,” is what you settle on before just looking at him for a second. His eyes rise to yours, and then to your neck. You have a necklace on, a simple heart, and your neck is pale and unmarred. He looks back up again, seeing your slightly mischievous gaze, and knows he’s in trouble.
“I think we should make out,” you say, finishing your bottle and tossing it behind you into the bushes. He laughs, obviously not opposed, and moves his arm back towards himself to run a hand through his hair.
“Oh, yeah?” He chews at his lip, suppressing a grin, and squints. “Why’s that?”
“Is that a no?” You rise to your feet, shirt falling open, and his heart thumps against his chest. You cock your head to the side, cheeks pink, and he really feels like a teenage boy. He stares at you for a second.
Then he pats his lap, and that’s that.
But you move to stand between his legs, taking his jaw in one hand. Your fingers pinch his chin and brush against the scruff that occupies it. You bend, scent filling his nose, and kiss him surprisingly gently on the mouth. He tastes like mint and tequila, and your mouth tastes like tobacco and beer.
You make a satisfied noise, finally clambering into his lap, and he grunts when your hips move over his thighs and he feels your bare skin on him.
One large hand holds you tight on your back, and the other settles on the outside of your thigh. Your tongue pushes past his lips, and he makes an embarrassingly wimpy noise into your mouth. Your head tilts so you can slot your lips perfectly into his, and he takes the chance to grab at your hair.
He pulls you down some more, fingers accidentally tugging on your hair, and your mouths part with your gasp.
“You like that?” He asks, breathless and grinning, and you roll your eyes. You take his face in your hands again and shut him up with a bite to his bottom lip. His neck is at a sharp angle, and your fingers are tight on his cheekbone, but his dick twitches in his pants.
You pull his lip between your teeth, and chase with another wet kiss that makes your thighs tense.
His hand on your back slides down, grasping the curve of your ass, and hauls you even closer to him. You make a pleased noise, hands falling around his neck loosely, and he swallows.
He pulls away slightly, eyes blown wide, and breathes, your lips an inch apart. You grin.
“You like that.”
“Shut up,” he grunts, and digs his fingers into your hip. You shift in his lap, trying to get away from his big hands, and then freeze. Oh. He stares up at you, unfaltering, and waits for you to say something. Anything. God, anything.
His eyes are filled with something you can’t quite make out but you’re sure you look just the same.
“I might have to fuck you,” you breathe, hand bracing his neck, and he nods encouragingly without thinking. Yes.
“Tell me how you want it,” he can’t help but whisper into your mouth. He kisses you again, sitting up, and holds the small of your back with one large palm.
“Not here,” you say, panting, and clamber off of his lap. You stumble but regain your balance and take his hand in yours. He rises, tall and hard at your back, and you lead him in.
Barry passes you guys leaving the stairwell, and gives Rafe a look that says “nice one”. You hold onto the railing and bring him upstairs, pausing at your bedroom to unlock it and push the door open.
A wave of sweet smacks him in the face, and he passes the threshold slowly, looking like a giant.
“This is my room,” you say, slightly out of breath, and pull him closer to you. “This is where I want it.” Your whisper dies when you pull his face down to you, bringing his mouth to yours and reveling in the groan he grants you.
Your hands drift down to his abdomen, and you’re pressing your palms to his stomach to get a feel of him before tugging the hem up and breaking away. You pull it up and with some help finally get it off, and then you dip to kiss his chest.
He stares up at the ceiling, eyes rolling back, and holds your neck in one hand, the other brushing past the collar of your flannel to feel your warm skin.
Your hands slide further down his torso, and you tuck two fingers into his belt. But you stop, gazing up at him, and wait for his eyes.
You get them, and his blood feels like fire when you start to unbuckle it and unbutton his fly. He looks past you and at the open window, having half a mind to shut them and close the curtains. But the other side of him gets hard just at the idea of everyone hearing you two.
“Come ‘ere,” he murmurs, and your hands stay at the waistband of his underwear. You look up, eyes unassuming, and he slides his thumb lightly across your soft lips.
He does it again, but this time you kiss it. His jaw clenches and then his thumb pushes past the seam of your lips and into your hot mouth. You take it happily.
He feels the side of your cheek with the pad of his thumb, obsessively petting it back and forth as his senses zero in on just you.
But he’s had his fun, and releases his thumb from your mouth with a pop. You step back slightly, and he follows you with hands on your hips before knowing what you’re going to do and backing off. You look up at him, unwavering, as you unbutton your flannel and shrug it off. It falls to the floor but he doesn’t need to confirm it, eyes too focused on your tits.
They’re round, smooth, and he slides a hand up your waist to test how they feel—perfect, just as he assumed. He dips his head to get his mouth on you, and he captures a nipple between his lips and sucks.
Your fingers find themselves in his hair and move through it as he has his fun making your nipples hard. He bites one and you jump, yanking on his hair. He grunts and looks up at you, nipple between his teeth and eyes wide.
“Come on, Rafe,” you pant, and jerk his head up to yours. “Fuck me already.”
“Who’s in charge here?” He asks, pulling abruptly away and staring at you. His green eyes are focused on you and only you. You straighten your shoulders, one eyebrow raised. “Oh, this’ll be fun.”
His hand grasps your shoulder and pushes you roughly onto your knees. He frees his pants of the zipper and follows you down, guiding you back on the floor with a hand on your shoulder. Your legs immediately rise and part for him, and he groans before settling between them.
He fumbles with large and clumsy fingers before sliding your shorts and panties off in one go, dipping to spit between your legs and rubbing it into your untouched clit. You huff, impatient, and grab at his pants once again. They seem to be your nemesis.
“Patience is a virtue,” he murmurs against your lips, gripping the inside of your thigh tight, and you have to roll your eyes.
“So is making me cum,” you whisper back, finally getting his dick out, and he might have just fallen in love.
He braces a hand on the wall behind you, sliding his knees to be more comfortable on the hardwood, and pushes forward. The second the tip of his dick breaches the hot pressure of your pussy you’re closing your eyes and arching your back.
He might be the biggest you’ve ever had, actually. Definitely the thickest.
And it goes straight to his head, for he’s grinning and rubbing the side of his thumb on your clit when your eyes open again. You’re sure you look wild, eyes wide and hair messy and completely gone for him, but you have a feeling he loves it. Loves the tiny reactions he gets when his thumb strums you just right, the quick gasps when he bottoms out, the pressure of your throat when he fixes a hand around your neck and noses his way into your hair.
It’s just his left arm on the floor that holds him up, and the jabbing movements of his hips rock your head back into the wall painfully. You barely care.
You two move like you’re in a dance. Noises complimenting each other, heads stretched to touch. He moves forward and you move backward. He exhales and you inhale. It’s something of a movie you can’t quite place.
The floor is sticky on your sweaty lower back, all of your senses blown out of proportion, and you’re forming a whine when his fingers experimentally squeeze around your throat. They stamp it out.
“I knew you liked that,” he pants, licking his teeth, and his lips twitch when you pulse around him. “Like to me talking to you? Yeah?” His red chest heaves.
“Yes,” you nearly cry, arm hooking around his neck, and pull him down onto you. His hand on the wall falls, slamming onto the floor next to your head, and he shudders at the noise you make when his dick slips out.
His large hands grip your hips, digging into the flesh, and he drags you up with his strong arms into a kneeling position. He mirrors you, but shifts you around until you’re back to front with him, and presses onto your lower back until you’re half bent towards the wall, face pressed to the paint.
He realigns, face shoved into your hair, and pushes back in. You shake around him.
“Fuck,” he exhales, in shock at your desperation, and feels his chest swell with pride. This position is reliant upon your core strength, which is entirely jelly at this point, and it just doesn’t feel right to him either. “Wait.”
He grabs at your bicep, jerking you back towards him, and angles the two of you towards the center of the room. He lets go and you fall face first into the rug from your knees.
“Hey,” you huff in annoyance, pushing up onto your elbows. He gets you quiet pretty quick when he slaps a hand at your asscheek, and— fuck. That’s good. You just breathe, looking back at him with half your face smushed into the carpet, and feel your whole body rock forward with the force of his thrust.
The breeze picks up outside, carrying the sounds of music and talking and laughing in from your backyard, and your skin erupts in goosebumps. Your head slightly shifts towards it and he can’t have that.
“Just me,” he grunts, jerking your gaze back to his with a hand buried in your hair, and you close your eyes in the feeling. “Only me.” His words are barely stringed together, confusing, but you somehow get it. Your limp arm underneath you spurs to life and finds your clit between its familiar fingers, and then you’re melting into the carpet. It feels like you were made for this. Rafe was made to fuck you like this.
“So sweet,” Rafe sighs, hands tight on your hips and pulling you back onto him with each thrust. You barely feel the stretch anymore, just chasing that sweet spot when he pushes in and bottoms out.
“You only fuck me like this, right?” You pant, too cocky for your own good, and Rafe shivers at your voice. He pulls you up onto your knees with his hand in your hair, and his hot breath fans over your neck and shoulders as his hips relentlessly fuck in to you.
You nearly cry out when he presses a hand tight right above your stomach, but fall quiet when it moves up to your throat.
“I don’t know if I can fuck anybody else after you,” he pants, almost a whisper, and your stomach jumps.
“I want to be on my back,” you suddenly say, nearly a whine, and Rafe grunts at your request.
“You’re gonna kill my back, honey,” he says. But he lets go and turns you delicately in his grasp until you’re flat on the rug and arms and legs reaching up for him. His knees scrape on the woven fabric and he curses, but you’re so welcoming and warm that he dismisses the feeling.
“I just wanted to see you,” you sigh, content, and curl an arm around his sweaty shoulder. His heart jumps in his chest and his face contorts, not used to the affection, and he buries his face into your neck as his hips resume their punishing pace. You jerk up further and further on the rug, moved by only his hulking body over yours, and just settle yourself to melting into the floor.
“C’mon,” he grunts, moving an arm from its position pressed into the ground to between your legs, and rubs hard circles into your clit. It’s heavenly and your head falls back as you close your eyes and make the most embarrassing noises into his skin. “There you go.” He grins. The muscles in his back and torso strain, tired from the effort, but Rafe knows that if he can get you just right—
“Fuck, Rafe,” you sob, fingernails clawing at his back, and your thighs shake where they’re at curled around his hip. Your eyes roll back into your head, the hot coil in your abdomen snapping, and you feel your orgasm ripple through your body from your toes to your head.
It’s so good you almost pass out, body limp under him, but come back to life to encourage him only seconds later.
“Please, Rafe,” you sigh into his ear, hand cupping his face and pressing your mouth to his scruffy cheek. “Please.” Your body rocks with his final efforts, and you squeeze around him tightly.
“You’re fucking—evil,” he grunts out, pushing into you one last time, and collapses on top of you with a guttural groan. You sigh in relief, liking the weight of him on top of you, and you both share a breathless pant into the cool night air. His exhales are hot on your neck. The sounds of the party fade back into existence, loud shouting and footsteps and the clinking of bottles. Your skin feels like it’s on fire, and Rafe’s huge sweaty body on top of it doesn’t help. But you don’t dare move.
You do pull him a little closer with your arm around his shoulder, pressing kisses into the side of his head. You feel his face scrunch up in shyness.
He finally moves, ripping himself away from you and turning onto his back. One of his hands snakes around your waist and carries you with him, and you cling to his side with a leg thrown over his.
“We should probably do that again,” he sighs, eyes closed, and a tiny smile lifts the corners of his mouth. You struggle onto an elbow, willing your muscles to work again, and brush a hand across his forehead to sweep his hair away from his face.
“Mhm.” You chew at your lip, content. “I think for the purpose of science, yeah.”
“Right,” he murmurs, lips pursed and nodding, and you huff out a laugh at his expression.
“You know,” you start, pushing at your elbow and clambering to crawl up onto his chest and settle your hips at his stomach. His eyes open when he feels you. “We have a hot tub in the basement.”
He jerks up into a sitting position, forcing you to fall into his lap. He catches you with a hand at your lower back.
“I think I’m in need of a jacuzzi jet.”

The day after All In, you and Tyler had celebrated the night before since he had won his championship back from Jack.
You both were too eager to even think of using a condom, thank god for birth control. Right?
Not thinking much of it when it was now October a couple days after WrestleDream and you had still yet to get your period
There’s no way you were pregnant, although you hadn’t wrestled since the Dynamite after All In due to a slight wrist sprain you didn’t have any morning sickness
That night at Rampage waiting for Tyler to come back from his match your phone rang, it was your mother
“Y/N why am I having dreams of being a grandmother again?” She asked straight away, “Wow Hi mom nice to hear from you too. I’m doing great thanks for asking.” you replied. “Cut the shit little miss. I know it's not your brother again or your sister, So the only one left out of my children is you.”
You reassured your mom that you were in fact NOT pregnant, even though you are in your early 20s she still scared you
But as the days went on the thought continued to eat at you.
So here you stood in your locker room before Dynamite with Skye, Kris, WIllow, and Julia all with you for moral support as you took the six tests you bought. Can’t be too sure.
Willow was grinning, “Could you imagine how cute your guy’s babies would be if it is positive?” The rest all joining in gushing as well
You sat there on the floor in front of the table that held the fate of your future.
*BEEP BEEP BEEP* The alarm on your phone signaling the timer was now finished.
You looked at the girls slowly feeling the anxiety start to flood your system
Yeah you and Tyler had talked about kids but not too in depth, you both wanted them but now? Not even at the peaks of your careers, were you ready to be parents?
Taking a deep breath you stood up and flipped over the first test.
Your heart hammered against your rib cage, you blinked several times to make sure you were reading it right ‘POSITIVE” it read in bold letters.
You flipped all the others and they read the same. You are pregnant,
You turned towards the girls feeling overwhelmed with emotion holding up one of the many tests
They all gasped reading the test before crowding around you hugging you
Words of love and encouragement were uttered between them towards you
You shoved all the tests at the bottom of your suitcase before heading off to tell your bosses
They were elated to hear the news, congratulations flew around the room
You would figure out a way to be written off of tv until after the baby was here
You had asked that they not tell anyone yet especially Taz or Tyler, you wanted to surprise the two
Thankfully that weekend was the weekend you were flying back to New York with Tyler for a little get together with some of his family
That Friday before you flew out you went and bought the things you needed for your announcement
Over the course of your relationship you had grown close to Tyler’s family especially his cousins.
You had informed one of his cousins, Laila, about the news and asked if she could help out with filming the announcement. Of course she had agreed.
There you stood in Taz’s backyard holding three boxes that held your surprises
Laila was ready inside at the kitchen island as you asked Tyler, his mom, and Taz if you all could talk
Joining you inside Taz was the first to notice the boxes with their names on them
“Christmas come early ranuncolo?” (buttercup)
Smiling nervously you nodded, “Something like that. You can open them,”
His mother was the first to open her’s. Reading the card first as Taz and Tyler opened theirs as well
Tyler stood silently as he read what the little onesie said ‘future sparring partner’ each box held a positive pregnancy test
His mother was next, she gasped seeing the test and the onesie that read ‘move I’m here for grandma’s cuddles and cooking’
Taz chuckled as he felt tears come to his eyes as he read what his said ‘future ftw mini champion’ and a shirt that said ‘soon to be grandpa’
“Are you serious?” Tyler spoke as his eyes went back and forth from his box, his parents, then you
You nodded smiling
He rushed over to you, picking you up and kissing you before cheering, “I’m going to be a dad!”
His mother and father came over to hug you both and congratulate you
“You two are young but I know that little one will be in good hands. I guess I don;t have to wait until I’m gray now to be a grandpa.” Taz said after hugging you and patting his son on his shoulder
“You are turning gray darling.” His wife replied as we all laughed
Soon enough you told the whole roster, they all were overjoyed at the thought of the AEW family growing
You even called Cody and Brandi to tell them since they were one of the huge reasons why you joined AEW
Once it came time for the scan and knowing the baby’s gender, you trusted the results to Kris and Willow
Your gender reveal was definitely one of a kind, your very own wrestling match to determine the gender with the whole roster and company present before Collision
The winner would get the belt  and once the bell was rung the ring posts would burst with streamers and colored powder
You were very amused seeing the set up
The winner was announced and as you and Hook stood in the ring with them when the ring erupted.
IT’S A BOY!!!!
You cried tears of joy as Tyler embraced you, you didn’t care if it was a boy or girl when asked in the pre gender reveal video you were just happy to have a healthy baby with the man of your dreams
Your baby shower was of course wrestler themed, you had to incorporate it
The nursery was put together in no time and you were in love with it
Tyler wouldn’t let you help claiming you were doing enough just by carrying your guy’s baby the least he could do was put up the nursery
He was like that all throughout your entire pregnancy
Due date was soon approaching and you were ready for baby bear to get out
You couldn’t lay comfortably anymore and the past month felt like your rib cage was his jungle gym
Soon enough your water broke the night before your due date, May 24th 2024.
You were in labor for 16 hours, and you were pissed
You threatened Tyler that he wouldn’t get to touch you after your son was born, it was his fault you were in this much pain to begin with was your logic
At 10:28 pm, your little bundle of joy was welcomed into the world
He had a head full of hair and Tyler’s eyes
He was beautiful, you couldn’t stop crying as the nurses placed him on your chest, you felt so many emotions flow through you
After awhile you looked and Tyler to see him crying, you smiled at him gesturing him to join you on the bed
“You want to hold your son?” you whispered, he nodded and held his arms out as you placed the baby into his arms.
You swore you couldn’t fall more in love with Tyler but at that moment seeing him talk to his son; y/s/n, and cuddle him, you could've sworn heaven was here on Earth in that moment.

The timeline of your and Conrad’s relationship was a block of confusion. There were so many times where one of you had walked away from a fight or unspokenly called it quits that you didn’t know where your relationship stood. Were you still together? Or was it over?
The first time hearing that your ex was seeing someone else always stung. You heard the rumor from your friend Inez, who had seen him out and about with some brunette. They were getting coffee on Saturday morning, but by the slightly smeared mascara under her eyes, she and Conrad had spent the night together. Inez didn’t want to hurt you, but she wanted you to know in case you were still together.
A week later, your mouth was moving against Conrad’s, his hands unbuttoning your blouse as yours were pulling at his hair.
Maybe you were not over.
You accompanied Conrad home for his mother’s birthday and spent a few days at your parents’ mountain cabin for Thanksgiving. It was nice to spend time together with each other’s families. Your relationship was doing better.
Then you found out what happened during Spring break in Cousins and red flashed in your eyes. Not only had Conrad cheated on you, but he did it with Belly. Of all people, it had it be her. The girl he swore was a family friend, a little sister to him.
‘’I can’t believe you had sex with her!’’ you lashed, your voice trembling as tears welled up in your eyes. ‘’You’re such a lying traitor, Conrad Fisher!’’
‘’We were apart,’’ he fired back, defending himself. ‘’I did not cheat on you—’’
‘’You did. Steven heard her on the phone talking to Taylor about it.’’ You looked at him with the deepest hurt in your eyes. ‘’How can you do this to me?’’
The crack in your voice tugged at Conrad's heartstrings. He hated to see you crying and hurting. The last thing he wanted was to cause you suffering, but he did, and there was no way to undo what he and Belly had done. It was a regrettable mistake, and he wished he could erase it.
‘’I understand that you are upset and I wish you hadn’t found out like that,’’ Conrad began, his voice softer, remorse seeping through. ‘’But I love you. Belly…Belly was a mistake. We were both sad and lonely, and she was just there.’’
‘’And you couldn’t control your hormones? This is a teenager's excuse, Conrad. Grow up.’’
You didn’t hear from him for the following two months. Summer went and gone, spent traveling around the country with your friends and tanning on all the beaches. It was nice to not hear his name for a while.
But eventually, Conrad found his way back into your life. As if he had ever truly left.
‘’His new girl looks exactly like you.’’
‘’Inez…’’
‘’See for yourself.’’ The blonde pulled out her phone with Conrad’s new girl’s instagram page on the screen.
She was right. Her hair was the same color as yours and she had the same lips shape too.
‘’I bet he still loves you.’’
After your last fight, all that was left of your relationship had shattered. The trust was broken beyond repair.
You shook your head and took a sip of your iced coffee. ‘’We’re over.’’

Ignore it if you don't want to write it.
Have a good day and night.
PS : The Alice Yuu was perfect.
Tumblr media
Maleficent! ± Hades! Male! Reader
×You are Malleus's cousin
×Asra is your adopted sister and unknown to everyone, Silvers actual sister
×You and Idia are childhood friends (I don't think he's related to Hades, correct me if I'm wrong)
×You're not Yuu
×You're and third year Ignihyde student
Sorry I haven't been posting, I didn't have any motivation!
-
There were many things that were well known about Y/n, most people considered him an open book, but his family life stayed a mystery.
There were a few things that people could gather by just talking to him; his mom died, his dad remarried (Persephone), and he had known the shroud brothers for a long time.
The reason Y/n kept his family a secret was because he saw how people would avoid Malleus, leaving him alone and unwelcomed, but for some ungodly reason, nothing could be left a secret in this school.
Family day.
A day that Y/n had managed to avoid in the past thanks to either Idias hacking or a quick excuse that only makes sense because Crowley is an idiot.
But this year he forgot all about the dreaded day.
The day started as any other, he straightened out his uniform, found something to drink, and started making his way to the cafeteria.
But then he saw those gargoyles from the underworld waiting for him in the second he stepped out of his dorm mirror.
"He he- see I told you he'd be here if we waited long enough!" The shorter one spoke.
"Well, excuse me for hoping the boy had learned to get up earlier for once!" Panic shouted back.
"What are you two doing here?" Y/n asked, stunned.
"Well, we just missed ya and your horrible attitude soooo much!" Pain started. "NO! Its family day dumb-fuck."
"Does that mean dads here!"
"Of course, he is, he wasn't going to miss is first AND only chance to see you at your school." The taller one said in a tone most wouldn't dare have with the son of a god.
"FUCK! I gotta go!"
And just like that, the teenager was off like his head was going to be cut off.
"Not even a 'How are you?' or 'How's the Underworld?' Typical."
The cafeteria was filled with people in awe of one of the most recognizable people in the world. No one had the nerve to approach him as he tried to find his son and instead just circled around him, entranced by his existence.
"Have any of you seen my son?" The god asked the crowd, "He's about this tall, Ingihyde, of course, and always half asleep."
"Uncle! So good to see you." A familiar pair of horns made its way through the crowd.
"Ah, Malleus, have you seen Y/n? It appears no one else here as." Hades asked as he brought the younger boy in for a hug.
Malleus chuckled, "Unfortunately, not today, he normally sleeps in quite late."
"I assume he got that habit from that Shroud boy?"
"Probably."
"DAD!"
Everyone turned to see the boy whose father left everyone so stunned and audible gasps were heard as students quickly realized the similarities between their magic.
"Y/n! My boy! How have you been? Have you finally made some new friends?"
"What do you mean new friends! I have plenty of friends-"
"Name three other than Idia and Ortho."
"Well, there's Silver, and..." He thought for a moment "Well how have you been?"
"Well busy with the Underworld and ACTUAL responsibilities, unlike Zeus and the other gods."
"Yeah, yeah, let's go talk about that outside." Y/n said trying to rush his dad outside.
As they entered the courtyard Y/n noticed Deuce showing his mom around and Ace getting bullied by his brother. As Hades rambled on to his son about how unfair his job was Crowely took notice of the god and quickly made his way over in hope of some positive publicity.
"Y/n! I'm so happy to see you and your father enjoying yourselves!"
"Well, everything would be perfect but we're waiting on a couple more people." Hades started. "Do you think you could tell them where we are?"
"Who else did you invite!?" Y/n could already feel the eyebags start to form under his eyes as he wished he'd stayed in bed.
"Asra and Persephone!" Hades smiled.
"Stay here I'll go find them."
"Stay here and do what? I'll be bored out of my mind."
"Talk to Crowley or something! I don't care, just stay here!"
Y/n made his way back to the Ingihyde dorm, if he was going to do this, he was going to make Idia suffer with him.
"Get your ass up! It's family day!" The boy just barged into the others dorm, as he often did.
"What does that have to do with me!?"
After a couple minutes of arguing, Idia was now walking close behind Y/n with his tablet in hand. The loud environment was Idias worst nightmare, and he will never know how he was talked into this.
"Y/N!"
That was all the two heard before said boy was tackled to the ground by a familiar head of long white hair. A few looks a shock were shot their way making Idia jump.
"Asra! GET OFF OF ME!"
"So whiney!" She stuck her togue out. "Are you mad cause I interrupted your time with you boyfriend!"
Once again Idia jumped from something the girl did. This has been an ongoing joke that was only funny to one girl and very annoying to the brother and his friend.
"He wishes!" Y/n said, shoving his sister lightly.
"Now kids," a voice so graceful that it could only belong to one person spoke. "We're in public, act like it."
Soon the four made it back to the courtyard where Malleus, Pain, and Panic had joined Hades and Crowley.
"So, you started the Gargoyle club in our honor, right?" Panic asked, nudging Malleus.
Malleus laughed in response, "No but you two did he with my interest in gargoyles."
As soon as the four joined the crowed Crowely insisted he get a picture.
"It will be perfect for the school Magicam! Now say 'family!'"

Savvy Day Care
Tumblr media
***THIS HAS NOT BEEN THROUGH A TYPICAL EDITING PROCESS; ALL SHORTS ARE ROUGH DRAFTS***
Sav sat in the driver seat of their shared brand-new Mercedes Benz sprinter passenger van going over his checklist to make sure he had all of his nieces. They had so many children and counting, a regular little mini-van wouldn’t do—like on ballet and gymnastics days that they all had together or when Jacob did field trips with them. Minus the boys who rarely made any fuss, all nine girls were very specific at times and some didn’t like sharing seat belts or their personal space if they weren’t in the best mood, so they invested in a sprinter and it’d been smooth sailing since.
“Melody, she so pretty make my heart all fluttery.”
“Here,” she cheerfully replied to her uncle. She didn’t always get to spend a lot of time with her father’s side of the family so being in the presence of her uncle and cousins made her happy.
“Delightful Damaris, she gon’ be a stunnin’ runway model in Paris.”
“Here!”
“Pretty Poppy, all these hoes gon’ wanna copy.”
“Here me go, Uncle Sav!”
“Savannah my precious banana,” Sav called then looked in the mirror and she raised her hand, still not able to verbally communicate much but they were working on it day by day. They mostly depended on sign language. He and Chi were just thankful she was able to walk on her own now without assistance. “Queen Day B, my G!”
“Here daddy!” she giggled.
“Aubree my gorgeous lil cup of tea.”
“Here,” she blushed.
“Ivory, my cute honeybee.”
“I’m right here,” she replied bashfully.
They loved their pet names given by Uncle Sav.
“Lovely Loire, even though you mean you the one I’ll always adore.” “Hmph!” she folded her arms with a scowl. The last thing she wanted to do was be in a leotard, tights, ballet shoes and a slick back bun. She looked just like a little Lake with an attitude.
“Ion know what hmph mean lil girl.”
“Me here!” Loire pouted, attitude on a hundred.
“You gon’ be flung over the bushes you keep actin’ up,” Sav threatened and she poked her lip out, and started crying into her sister’s arm. “My beautiful River gon’ always have my back and deliver…slaps! To ya muhfuckin’ dome on behalf of her uncle!”
“Here, Uncle Savy,” she laughed. “You make my sister cry,” River put her arm around Loire.
“She made her lil bad ass self cry. Loire cut it out before I get Sugar Sprinkle Pickle,” he referred to their dog that Lake let them name and she straightened up real quick. For some reason she was afraid of that little ass chihuahua. “Ard, everybody got their seatbelts on?” “Yes!” they all responded at the same time, Savannah nodding her head up and down.
“Do anybody gotta go number one or two before I pull off?”
“Nooo!”
“Goin’ once, goin’ twice, and we out!”
Jacob was on vacation for a week so what he’d usually tend to with their children was split between Sav, Lake, and Dem. Vant declined to help, wanting to use all of his free time from the kids trying to give Ivy another baby which she refused.
They had so many kids that keeping them active was necessary. They had tons of energy which needed to be channeled in something productive other than fighting with one another. Leave them in the house for too long, barrettes were flying, hair was being pulled and nothing but crying and screaming filled the air.
Once they arrived at the studio, Sav parked and got out making all of the girls hold hands as they crossed the lot. They basically had private lessons seeing as their group made up one class.
“Good afternoon!” their teacher, Ms. Farrah smiled as each of her tiny ballerinas marched into the studio. While the class went on Sav sat to the side taking pictures and videos, sending them in the group chat.
Avery: Fix Loire bow, she get on my nerves with that lil ass attitude! Ivy: Why is Aubree actin’ like we don’t practice the pliè at home? Ooh that girl! Vant: Fuck off my daughter bro Ivy: STFU! Avery: Nobody is talking about Damaris eatin’ everybody up though Chi: Straight running circles around them! Show them how it’s done Maris! Sav: My Banana is the best one Chi: And she is! Avery: She is doing so good, I’m so proud of her Ivy: Me too. Vant: Love Banny and all but I’m not bouta sit here and lie Ivory killin’ all them! Avery: LIES! It’s Damaris, River, THEN my pookie poo Ivory Ivy: Avery don’t make me kick your ass. Avery: Facts are facts! Lake: Can y’all all shut the fuck up? Chi: Husband! Why you gotta be so mean? Avery: Chi. Ivy: CTFU! Sav: I’m mutin’ y’all dickheads now Chi: You better not nigga! Ivy: Whose making dinner tonight? Avery: Not me! I’m tired and my back is hurting Chi: I can’t cook Lake: That’s why you need to sit the fuck down somewhere Avery: Do you see how you talk to me?😭 Ivy: Omg! Avery go away, you wasn’t complaining how he talk to you or crying when you laid up and got your ass pregnant again! He said sit down somewhere so SAT DOWN! Chi: Husband I woulda been sittin’ Sav: Chi get your fuckin’ head knocked off Vant: At least she lay down and get pregnant, some people act like it’s gon’ ruin their fuckin’ life to have another baby. Ivy: Vant do not start! You are not the one that has to PHYSICALLY go through a pregnancy! Vant: If I could carry my own fuckin’ babies I would! Sav: This nigga gay Wreck: Gay asf Vant: 🖕🏾
Pav: The girls are so cute! I wish I had a daughter to do ballet Sav: You late Pav: We were all napping Chi: You always sleep, let me find out you lettin’ Daly do you like Lake Daly: 🍆
Ivy: Okayyyyyyyyyyy! Get it get it! Vant: Ivy. Relax my nigga. Avery: I swear this is the last one. I can’t do this anymore. We’re gonna have to use condoms. Lake: Yea ok Ivy: TMI Chi: I would never make big daddy—nevermind Sav: Wait till I get home. Ima put a dent right in your fuckin’ forehead. Avery: LMAOOOOO! Big daddy that bitch! Chi: 🖕🏾 Dem: I’m not reading all that shit Ivy: Heyyy bookie Dem: Hey Avery: LMAO! Dem did you eat? Dem: No Avery: You want me to cook you some food? Sav: But you just said you was tired and your back was hurtin but now that Dem ain’t ate shit you got the energy Avery: Hater much? Vant: I’ll cook Wreck: Then I’m stayin home Daly: Me too Lake: I’m not eatin’ nothin Vant cook Pav: I will cook. Geez. Everybody be here by 8 Vant: Ayeee! Wreck: I’ll be over there Sav: You cook better than Avery anyway Avery: 🖕🏾
Sav: Ard the class is over. I’m takin all they asses to my house for a minute. Chi: Lord. Let me put up all my good shit Ivy: Don’t do that to them lmao Chi: You know they bad as shit! Sav: No, THEY kids is bad as shit. My babies is good. Dem: And mine Avery: So what tf are y’all saying? Ivy: Exactly! Wreck: Lake and Vant got some bad ass kids. Lake: Ok Daly: Now I need to put up all our good shit Ivy: Vant? Vant: Man…Ion feel like fightin’ and our kids is bad as shit Ivy: Wow. Sav: Bye dickheads!
Putting the phone in his pocket, Sav gathered his tribe of little ladies. They all walked to the van hand in hand talking over one another.
“Loire, you feel better?”
“Yes!” she answered her uncle now all smile. Sometimes it took his niece a minute to warm up.
“Good…who wanna go bother auntie Chi?”
“Meeeeee!” they all raised their hands at the same time.
“She’s my mommy,” Sav heard Day say.
“And she’s my auntie,” Aubree sassed.
“Don’t be mean to me.”
“Talk to the hand!”
“Daddy!” Day shouted. “She put her hand in my face,” she whined.
“Aubree chill out.”
“I’m tellin’ my daddy on you!” Aubree asserted.
“And what he supposed to do?”
“Beat chu up.”
“Your daddy can’t beat my daddy,” River added twisted her neck.
“I bet he can!”
“No he can’t!
“Ard,” Sav laughed. “Y’all chill, it ain’t that deep.”
“But Uncle Savy, she—”
“It’s ard River,” Sav turned to her giving her a look. “We know the real.”
River nodded then rolled her eyes at Aubree. “My daddy still can whoop uncle Vant, I seen him do it,” she whispered just having to get the last word.

When the four of you reached the food trucks, the place was full. You all walked around trying to see what kind of food there was but ended up settling for hamburgers. Rina said she wanted a regular cheeseburger and stepped out of the line to look for an empty table.
You and your cousin May fell into a comfortable conversation, talking about whatever while Mingyu stood behind you two, just listening.
Every once in a while May would sneak glances at Mingyu who attentively listened to you talk. After ordering, May decided to stay with her sister and keep her company, leaving the two of you to wait at the pickup area.
"So... Mingyu, how's life abroad? Making many new friends? Are you living alone?" You bombarded the boy with questions. It's been around three years since you last saw each other and it was a pleasant surprise to see the skinny tall boy coming home all grown up, strong, mature... and really handsome
"It's been pretty good! I live with a roommate, his name is Jeonghan. He taught me a lot haha... My classes are also fine but I'm still trying to get used to using another language whenever I leave the house" He says proudly
"Got a girlfriend?" You thread carefully
But the man smirks
"No, I only got eyes for you"
You roll your eyes smiling. He's flirty now too
"As if" you both giggle together when you get called by the staff of the food truck
Tumblr media
After eating Mingyu excuses himself and heads to the toilet. When he's out of earshot, both your cousins turn to you and smirk.
"He's totally crushing you"
"YES. He's totally like a puppy looking at its owner... Maybe you should own him..."
You choke on your drink, almost spitting it
"Girlie are you ok? Are you guys even hearing yourselves? Mingyu's just being nice" You try to recompose yourself
"Ugh blind. He's literally giving you heart eyes, and won't stop looking at you"
"Maybe he looks up to me? Cause I'm older" You try to reason "He's just flirty. Maybe he's like this to all girls"
"He wasn't flirty with us" Rina speaks while gathering the trash
"Maybe because you're six years younger than him?" You speak with a duh tone
"Wow y/n, you're really blind. He's into you, that's why he's flirting... Oh he's back"
If Mingyu notices the sudden silence between the three of you, he doesn't mention it. You all stand up and look for a place to get dessert but the only thing on your mind is what Rina said
He's into you
What about you? Are you also into him? I mean, he's cute but you never saw him as more than your little cousin's (even if only one year difference) friend. It felt kinda wrong to crush a younger guy when you were a teenager but now... In your twenties... Does it really matter?
Mingyu notices that you're lost in thoughts and every once in a while he links your pinkies in order to bring you back and get you to not lose yourself in the crowd of people
Add caring to the list of green flags in Mingyu.
Tumblr media
After that night, things seem to have changed a bit
Mingyu seems to be getting closer to you and also seems to be spending more time with you than with his friend, who actually invited him to the house.
You're cooking. Mingyu is there to help
You're cleaning up the kitchen. Mingyu offers to do the dishes
You're going to the beach earlier. Mingyu is ready to make you company
Mingyu was everywhere you were. Maybe your cousins were right, maybe he's... a tiny bit into you? Let's find out
Tumblr media
One afternoon, everyone decided to stay back in the house and just lounge by the pool, but not you. You decided to take a walk on the beach. And of course, so did Mingyu.
You were a bit skeptical regarding his (and your) feelings so you came up with an idea. See if he gets jealous.
"So, Mingyu... Tell me more about that roommate of yours... Jeonghan was his name?"
"Yeah, Jeonghan" Mingyu liked talking about his friend but you seemed too interested in him and it was making him feel weird
"What's he like? Is he older?"
"Yes, he's really nice and caring but he's a menace sometimes. He's a year older than you"
"He's also from Korea?"
"Yeah..."
"Oh is he single?" You asked but this time looking deep into his eyes
Oh, how he could get lost in them. It took a lot of strength to not kiss you right now
"Hm why"
"Oh you know... weighing my options... When Cheol goes to visit you I could tag along and... meet some guys" you said looking at the beautiful sunset. Oh, he was jealous.
"Why not me?" Mingyu didn't miss a beat
"What?"
"Why not me? Go out with me. We're not kids anymore. I'm not a kid anymore" he emphasized stopping in his tracks to fully look at you
You stopped not expecting him to be so forward with his answer and feelings. Turning around he looked... ethereal
His light clothes swayed with the sea breeze and the pinks and oranges of the sunset complimented his tanned skin so well. You know Mingyu was good looking but you didn't realize he was THAT good looking
"I... You're..." You were caught off guard and didn't know how to respond.
Mingyu sighed loudly at your statement, or rather your lack of a response.
"Well, if you didn't like me that way you should just tell me. Please don't lie to make me feel better" he looked uncertain about what he said himself but turned around and walked back to the house.
Tumblr media
Why did you say that?
When you returned to the house, the boys had gone to the market to buy more snacks and drinks
You couldn't even say sorry because he wasn't there
After getting in, you went straight to the room you shared with your cousins. They both stood in the living room and exchanged concerned looks since you didn't even spare them a glance.
Why did you say that? You didn't like him? That wasn't true and you knew it. What was it then? Afraid of being lonely? Were you being too sensitive?
Those thoughts made the tears start to flow
"y/n? Are you- oh my god" May immediately got inside after seeing you crying sitting on your bed "What happened?"
"Did something happen with Mingyu? When he came back he seemed upset as well..." Rina added and that made you cry harder
May hugged you and let you cry until you were too tired to do anymore. When you finally calmed down you told them everything, from the night you went to the food trucks to the moment he left you on the beach
Lonely am I being sensitive? You are the sensitive one Where are you tonight? Where's your home tonight?
Tumblr media
Mingyu didn't mean it, but he couldn't help but put his walls up
He didn't want to be hurt anymore
When you guys were younger he saw that you looked at him the same way you looked at Seungcheol. Like a little brother, which he didn't really like. He desperately wished time would change the way you saw him and he left it up to fate
He went to uni abroad while you took yours in your home country and now it's his vacation and he's back home. Of course, he knew you met other people and he did as well, but sometimes he wished it was you there, in his arms
And now he knows that you don't want him, and it breaks him.
Of course, it crossed his mind that maybe you both could be together temporarily like some sort of summer love but he didn't think he could handle the aftermath when he left again.
He was upset but what could he do? He couldn't just stay away from you when you were living under the same roof for 2 weeks but he could distance himself a bit. Seeing you would definitely make his heart hurt more.
Mingyu didn't realize that he was being awfully quiet during the market trip, which was very unlike his upbeat puppy personality
"What happened to you?" Even quiet Wonwoo went to check on him
"Nothing"
"yeah sure" Wonwoo shrugged but Cheol turned around to put his hand on Mingyu's chest to stop him
"Are you messing around with my cousin?" Seungcheol asked skeptical
"What? No I-" Mingyu tried to defend himself
"Then what? Explain yourself. We got time" Cheol motioned for them to sit on the small bench at the market's exit. Popping open a can of beer and motioning for both friends to sit as well
"Well..."
Tumblr media
"Well, I'm screwed. I guess I do find him endearing but at the moment I couldn't say anything. I do like him a lot but I never considered... dating him. I'm not opposed to the idea tho"
"Just go on a date with him. What could go wrong? Just go for it" May said
"What if things don't work out and we get awkward? I don't want to ruin things for Cheol-" You started to panic again
"Can you stop overthinking for one second? Just do it, the rest is the rest" Rina exclaimed "Gosh, I will charge next time for the therapy session" She smirked when you started giggling. At least you weren't crying anymore
"I guess you're right. Thanks. What would I do without you two" You said hugging them both. "Now let's go, you'll both help me with dinner"
"Oh no..."
You dragged both girls to the kitchen and gave them instructions to prep the tomatoes and arugula to make with pasta. You went to freshen up quickly, getting rid of your crying face and went back to help them and cook the pasta.
When dinner was almost done the boys arrived with more bags than anticipated.
"Sorry we took too long. We got some extra stuff because Mingyu said he was gonna prepare a special meal for us tomorrow" Cheol announced as he set the bags near the counter. The other two did the same and Mingyu started to put the ingredients away.
The girls moved to set up the table, asking Wonwoo to help by taking the heavy stack of plates to the dining area. Cheol gave you a soft smile and moved out of the kitchen as well.
"I'm-"
"I'm sorry I acted that way" Mingyu cut you off "Actually I wanted to talk to you about it" Oh no, he thought "You caught me off guard, I won't lie, but I wanted to give it a try. You and I"
Mingyu stopped what he was doing. Maybe he was imagining things
"We could go on a date tomorrow if you'd like it... I mean, if you're still willing to"
"Yes- I mean. Yeah, I would like that" He said without hesitation
"Oh, great" you have him a shy smile " Can you help me take this pan to the table?"
"Yeah, let's go" he moved to help you smiling brightly. Maybe things were starting to work out
Tumblr media
The next day arrived and passed as normal. In the afternoon you all decided to go grab some ice cream and you and Mingyu decided to separate from the rest to go on your date.
"You didn't have to pay you know? I'm the one who has a job and not a part-time" you smirked as he passed you the waffle cone
"I'd be rude if I didn't pay on our first date" he retorted
"Well thank you, what a gentleman" you giggled as he sat opposite you. The ice cream parlor was daily empty, but it was good because it gave you some privacy.
"Mingyu" you started "I wanted to be honest with you. I think you're cute and overall a great person, but I would be lying if I said I ever thought about dating you. I don't see you as a kid anymore, you've grown into someone so admirable... you grew up so well. Your confession wasn't something I was expecting but I guess the idea of us became... surprisingly pleasant" you said looking at him
"Y/n, thank you. For being honest with me. I- I have liked you since we were teens and when you didn't respond I put my walls up. I didn't mean to be rude to you, I guess I was just scared that you would reject me. I shouldn't have acted that way I'm sorry... but I'm happy. I'm happy that you're willing to give us a chance" he smiled. A smile you could definitely get used to.
"Well lover boy, how about that special recipe Cheol said you were going to prepare?" You said and he smirked
"Get really to taste the best dish you've ever had. I'll sweep you off your feet and you'll definitely fall for me this time" he said proudly, taking a bite of his cone and having some ice cream on the corner of his mouth
"I'll be looking forward to it" you said while grabbing a napping and cleaning the corner of his mouth.
He could get used to that
Tumblr media
Your days at the beach were ending and your dates with Mingyu were making your relationship become stronger.
"Mingyu what are your plans when we get back to the city?" Tina asked as you all were lying on beach towels under the sunshade.
"I'll go visit my family for a while, my grandma lives on the countryside" he answered and took a peek at the magazine you were reading. Your head rested on his stretched arm and he moved you to basically lay on his chest since his arm was starting to feel numb.
"Before you go back to uni, could you spare me some time?" You asked looking up at him. Even under the sunglasses, he could see your doe eyes
"Anything for you" he smiled
"Ew, don't say those things in front of us" Seungcheol made a face of disgust and gave Mingyu a slight slap. "Anyways, anybody wants to go take a dive? I'm melting"
"Yeah let's go" Wonwoo said standing up, as well as Rina. May also stood up but reached for her purse.
"Should I get us snacks? That tent is selling French fries"
"Oh yes, please get us two portions! The boys eat too much" you responded sitting up as your dousing just nodded and went on her way.
"Before I move back I'll take you on a really nice date. Maybe at your house? I could cook again since you liked it so much" Mingyu smirked as he resumed your previous conversation
"What are you implying Mr. Kim?" You side-eyed him but smiled after "That would be nice, I'm sad you'll have to leave me soon" you pouted
"Don't worry, I'll come back running for my girlfriend. You could also visit me you know..."
"Oh? Am I your girlfriend now? Since when?" You raised your eyebrows at him. It was amusing to poke fun at him, his cute pouting was a sight you loved
"You don't want to be my girlfriend?"
You pecked those pouty lips. You were both being really cliche, but with him, things were beginning to feel right.
You pecked those pouty lips. You were both being really cliche but with him, things were beginning to feel right.
"Yes, I would love that"
Tumblr media
I'm sorry about this open ending! I got stuck on this one and had to extend it because I wasn't liking it at all. I hope you guys like it! Likes and reblogs are appreciated! Stay tuned for the Wonwoo version!!!

AN: aww cute!!!
crushing on half-demon reader who works for the corps
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
𝗔𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗲/𝗳𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗺: 𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿
Characters: Kyojuro Rengoku, Giyuu Tomioka, Uzui Tengen
Warnings: I don’t proofread
A/n: I’m in a relationship w someone rn and it’s lowkey falling apart LMAO(this isn’t funny!!! I keep getting told by my cousins and friends to break up w them)
Demon Slayer masterlist | Main masterlist
Tumblr media
Kyojuro Rengoku
He’s heard of a special case of someone who’s just like Nezuko, and he was of course curious and went to find you
He’s heard how childish Nezuko was and he’s also seen how resilient she was towards eating humans so if she was okay then he assumed you were okay as well
But even then, he was still wary on meeting you and thought you could’ve still been a danger but that quickly went away went he saw you helping the three triplets at the butterfly estate and how gentle you were towards them
It was just unfortunate that you were turned demon and the next day he went to see you again and had a conversation with you and found out you’ve never wanted to hurt a human and you just wanted to help out even if others were still afraid of you
He found you admirable and imagined on how you would act with his little brother and maybe even children considering you were only half demon. Seeing how gentle you were the triplets, he couldn’t help but blush at the thought of you taking care of his brother.
He promised himself to protect you and help Tanjiro find a cure, you helped him see demons in a different light, some were just unfortunately turned demons just like you and that red headed boys sister
Tumblr media
Giyuu Tomioka
He’s heard of you but didn’t really care much, you were just like Tanjiros sister and if master trusted that you wouldn’t hurt anyone like Nezuko, then he didn’t care much about you
It was until he saw you and how you interacted with Tanjiro and Nezuko, Tanjiro wanted to meet with Giyuu and when Giyuu peeked over into the room and saw gentle you treated a small wound on Tanjiros arm and acted like it was some horrible wound while Nezuko layed down happily on your lap and made grabby hands at you because she wanted your attention
You acted like a parental figure towards them as you scolded the poor maroon haired boy for getting hurt
You were so caring, it made Giyuu heart melt at the sight and ever since that day he’s asked Tanjiro about and has made it his mission to “accidentally”meet with you so he can start a conversation
Carrying a tray of food to take to master? Giyuu is already on the path hoping to talk to you on the way even though he doesn’t have a reason to head over the masters estate
Each time he talked to you, he felt his heart flutter and felt so warm. Tanjiro of course noticed Giyuus lingering eyes towards you and had the idea on him, Nezuko, Giyuu, and you to hang out and have tea together to help out Giyuu and be his unofficial wingman
Giyuu couldn’t be any more thankful as each time he talked to you, he felt his smile grow every time. You were a treasure to him and he hoped to save you from this wretched curse one day
Tumblr media
Uzui Tengen
He was curious from the start and was dead set on meeting you. First the bamboo girl and now you? Just how many were there?!
He expected you to be unflamboyant, uninteresting, and to be honest, ugly. I mean how flamboyant can a demon be? He found out they can be very flamboyant and very attractive and you were a prime example of that!
You left him shocked for a moment before he recollected himself and immediately went over to you and talk to you. You were just the most attractive and flamboyant thing in his eyes other than him and his 3 wives
Speaking of his wives, he wasn’t at all unfamiliar of the warm feeling inside him whenever he talked to you because of his wives. He knew he was developing feelings for you and felt conflicted about it but after having a talk with his wives, they were all on board with talking to you
They all felt so warm talking to you, you were kind to them. Uzui figured you were just a poor soul who was unflamboyant-ly turned into a weird half demon! He was a lot more gentler towards Tanjiro and his sister because of you
He can’t imagine being so rude to someone who’s suffering the same fate as you and promises himself to one day save you (in flamboyant fashion of course!)

Home for the Holidays Ch.1
Tumblr media
Summary: Your family didn't take your coming out well....and instead of spending the holiday alone you join your roommate for Christmas dinner. While Aemond wishes you set your sights on his sister Helaena, your tastes skew much older.
A/N: This is a modern!au milf Alicent x milf lover f!reader. It was supposed to be finished last December lol. It got really long so I broke it into two chapters. It will be smutty, so read with caution if that’s not your thing! Not really smut in part one though.
A/N pt. 2: In this story two of Alicent’s cousins are her older brothers and Baela is not Helaena’s cousin. Not canon compliant.
You knew the holidays were going to be rough this year but had not anticipated just how hard seeing pictures of your family in St. Barts without you would be.
They had not taken your coming out well.
Sure they had promised to keep paying the tuition to your very expensive university until you graduated but that did little to soothe the hurt that their disapproval caused. Your family came from old money, some of the oldest of old in the country, and with that came old ways of thinking. They didn't care that you were gay, plenty of people in your extended family were some form of fruit, but they all stayed in the closet- at least publicly. That was what your family wanted for you as well. Anything to not tarnish their image.
But you couldn't live that way any longer. You wanted to be free.
To your surprise, only your estranged cousin Elia had accepted and even celebrated your coming out of the closet.
Thankfully you had Aemond. The two of you had met in freshman history class. He argued with the professor over every historical inconsistency in his lectures and it drove the professor mad. It made you laugh though. Aemond also came from old money, so the two of you bonded over the pressures that came from families that expected you to be perfect. Sophomore year the two of you moved into an apartment off campus, and your friendship only grew from there.
Aemond was your best friend, and you could not have asked for a better one. Aemond invited you to spend the holiday with his family. He didn’t love spending time with his family as they could be quite a lot but he always went for his mother’s sake.
You figured it beat spending Christmas alone in your flat.
So you got dressed in your very best and sat in the passenger seat of Aemond’s Porsche the whole drive to Oldtown.
Aemond popped another piece of gum into his mouth. “This will be a great opportunity for you and Helaena to bond,” he said as he chewed.
You rolled your eyes. “Not this again.”
Aemond smiled mischievously. “Come on (y/n). You can’t tell me you didn’t feel a connection when she came to visit on my birthday.”
“I can, and I am. She’s not a lesbian Aemond,” you replied.
Aemond was convinced that his sister Helaena was a lesbian. His evidence was that she never had a boyfriend, attended an all women's university, majored in Women’s studies, and only brought home girl best friends for the holidays.
“She talked to you that night, which cannot be said for many other people. Helaena is very selective with who she talks to. You even made her laugh (y/n)! I saw the sparks,” Aemond argued.
You sighed and shook your head. “Even if your sister was by some miracle into women, which I want to firmly state for the record that she is not, she’s simply not my type.”
The light turned red and Aemond’s car pulled to a smooth stop at the intersection. He turned to you.
“You don’t have a type. I’ve seen you bring all types of women home (y/n).”
You smirked. “Ever notice they weren’t at all our age.”
Aemond furrowed his brows. “So your type is older women?”
You nodded. “Yeah, like your mom for example.”
Aemond frowned. “Dude not that again!”
You laughed. “It’s not my fault your mom is a total milf.”
The light turned green. Aemond focused on the road once more. His face contorted in disgust.
“Ugh, yeah you and my mother are not something I’d like to picture.”
You let out another laugh. “Well I certainly have.”
This time Aemond let out a small chuckle. “Do you have the hots for my mother (y/n)? Is that why you said yes to joining us for Christmas?”
You shrugged. “Maybe I do, and maybe it is.”
Aemond chuckled again. “Well if you can make my white, Anglo-saxon, catholic mother do anything untoward this weekend I’ll spend the first two months of the new year cleaning the bathroom every weekend.”
Another red light. The car came to a stop.
You turned to Aemond and put your hand out.
“Deal.”
Aemond turned to you and shook his head. “I was joking.”
“I am not," you replied with a cheeky smile.
“Fine, deal,” Aemond said and shook your hand.
The light turned green. Aemond sped off once more.
You sat back in your seat thinking of Aemond’s mother, Alicent. You had only met her via Facetime when she called to check in on Aemond.
She was a certified smokeshow.
Alicent was beautiful and always held herself with poise. She was dressed impeccably in every photo of her online you could find when you first cyber-stalked her.
She had lost her husband, Aemond’s father, three years ago.
Aemond always skirted around the topic of his father. His father, from what you knew, had never really cared for Aemond and his siblings.
Viserys Targaryen was in his second term as the state's governor when he passed away. The Targaryens were political legends in your state. Many of their family members had been mayors, governors, state senators, and they had even managed to have an ancestor in the oval office.
Aemond’s father had always favored his only daughter from his first marriage, Rhaenyra. He had poised her to be the city’s mayor but his death led to a falling out within Aemond’s family. According to Aemond, they had never gotten along with Rhaenyra and her family but they had been cordial while Viserys lived.
When he died, Rhaenyra (who according to Aemond saw his mother as nothing but a gold digging whore) fought Alicent on every asset Viserys owned and vowed to leave Alicent penniless.
Thankfully Aemond’s mother had her family by her side. The Hightowers of Oldtown were an even older political force to be reckoned with. Their wealth dated back to the very founding of the nation.
Aemond’s grandfather, Otto Hightower, had squandered his own inheritance as a young man. It was rumored his family had cut him off and left him to his own devices after he gambled his money away. So Aemond’s mother had grown up having to make a lot of things happen on her own as they didn’t have their family’s backing for most of her life.
It wasn’t until Alicent married Viserys that the Hightowers welcomed Otto, Alicent, and her brothers back into the family fold.
So when Viserys died Alicent had the army of Hightower family lawyers on her side. Alicent managed to win several of Viserys’ homes and the money the prenup she had signed promised her.
Aemond never really spoke of his father, and when he did it was without warmth or love. So you often wondered if this was how all his family felt or if it was just him. You figured you would soon find out.
Aemond pulled up in front of the massive estate.
You got out of the car and marveled at the impressive family home. It wasn’t bigger than the one your family owned but it did look older and felt more imposing.
The estate was decorated from top to bottom in Christmas decor. It was done tastefully, the lights and decor didn’t look tacky, but it certainly conveyed a love for the holiday not many others shared by the look of the estates Aemond had passed by on the drive up.
Aemond popped the truck of the car open and took out his overnight bag. Then he took a deep breath and walked towards you.
“Say the word and we can still go back to the flat,” he joked.
You raised your brows and gave him a sideways look. “And do what? Eat Chinese take out and get drunk?”
Aemond smiled. “That sounds class to me.”
You laughed and shook your head.
“Aemond," said a voice that sounded as sweet as honey and as light as the morning sun.
You and Aemond turned your heads towards the estate.
Aemond’s mother stood at the door. She smiled brightly and waved.
Gods she’s even more beautiful in person, you thought.
Aemond put his hand on your shoulder. “Let’s get this over with then.”
You and Aemond walked up to the door.
Aemond’s mother turned to you and gave you a hug.
“It’s lovely to finally see you in person (y/n)," Alicent said as she politely embraced you.
You were surprised but you quickly recovered and returned the embrace. You noted how warm she felt.
“It’s a pleasure Mrs. Targaryen.”
Alicent pulled away and waved her hand dismissively. “Oh none of that. Call me Alicent,” she said with a smile.
You nodded. “If you insist, Alicent.”
She let out a polite laugh then turned her attention to Aemond. She wrapped her arms around her son. “I’ve missed you so much my little dragon,” she cooed.
Aemond blushed as he pulled away from his mother.
“Mom,” he chided.
Alicent laughed. “What? I can’t call you my little dragon anymore?”
You laughed and turned to Aemond. “Little dragon?”
Alicent turned to you. “He used to love running around pretending he was a dragon when he was a boy.”
You reached out and pinched Aemond’s now rosy cheek. “How cute, little dragon.”
Aemond swatted your hand away. “That only happened when I was seven and it’s because the dragon is on our family crest.”
“If it makes you feel better my nickname used to be baby cabbage in our mother tongue," you revealed, hoping to lessen Aemond's embarrassment.
Alicent laughed. “Why baby cabbage?”
You blushed under her gaze. “I was a very chubby baby.”
“How darling,” Alicent quipped.
Butterflies fluttered in your chest at the compliment. Out of the corner of your eye you noticed Aemond staring at you.
He cleared his throat and pulled his mother’s gaze away from you. “Let’s go inside, it’s bitterly cold out.”
Alicent nodded. “Of course come on in. Aegon is already up in his room. Helaena and her friend should be getting in any minute now.”
Alicent stepped aside and Aemond walked inside.
You followed after him and felt the butterflies in your chest multiply when you caught Alicent looking you over from head to toe with a small smile on her face.
-
Aemond and Aegon decided to smoke a joint before dinner.
You weren’t against it but didn’t care to partake so you wandered downstairs and figured you’d ask Alicent if she needed any help with dinner.
You knocked on the wall of the kitchen entryway.
Alicent was stirring something in the saucepan but looked up when she heard you knock. She smiled.
Butterflies filled your chest once more.
“Hi there,” she said.
You shoved your hands in the pockets of your jeans. Your palms had already started to sweat and you hadn't even spoken yet.
“Hi...Uh I was wondering if you needed help with anything?”
Alicent waved you off. “You’re a guest (y/n). I could never ask you to do anything,” Alicent protested.
You stepped closer and leaned against the counter next to the stove. “Then it’s a great thing I’m asking you. Really, I want to help out,” you insisted.
Alicent let out a small laugh. “Okay, you can stir this gravy while I check on the roast.”
You stepped up to the stove and took over the stirring.
Alicent went to the oven that was inlaid on the side of the stove, and took a look at the roast.
“Did you decorate or did you hire someone to decorate your home?”
Alicent stuck a meat thermometer in the roast and turned her head towards you. “Depends, do you think it’s too much?”
You smiled. “Of course not. It’s beautifully done.”
Alicent brightened at the compliment. “Then it was all me,” she beamed.
“Do you always go all out on the holidays?”
Alicent placed the roast back on its rack and closed the oven door. “Just Christmas. It’s my favorite holiday because I finally have my family all under one roof again."
She took her oven mitts off.
You continued to stir the gravy. “Well I hope it’s okay that you have a stray joining you at the table this year."
Alicent approached the stove once more.“It’s Christmas, the more the merrier.”
Then Alicent reached out for the spoon. You went to hand it off.
But then your hand met hers.
You didn’t move, and neither did Alicent.
She met your gaze.
You were too scared to even breathe. It felt as though if you moved even an inch the spell that kept her eyes on you would break.
But it broke anyway.
Alicent cleared her throat and looked away.
You let go of the spoon.
Alicent grabbed the spoon and resumed stirring. With her free hand she lowered the heat of the flame. “Besides, I’ll have two stays. Helaena is bringing a friend from school," she said, as though your brief moment of intense something had never happened.
You took a step back and leaned on the counter. “Right, you mentioned that before. Do you know much about her?”
Alicent continued to stir. She did not meet your gaze. “Not really. Helaena doesn’t share much about her college life with me. All I know is that her name is Baela, and that they’re spending Christmas day with her family.”
You raised your eyebrows slightly. Was Aemond right about his sister being into women?
Alicent noticed. “Why’d you make that face?”
“Oh, it’s nothing. It’s just something stupid Aemond said," your face suddenly felt warmer.
Now it was Alicent who raised her eyebrows in intrigue. “What is it?”
You bit the inside of your cheek, unsure if Aemond would mind you sharing his thoughts with his mother.
Alicent noted your apprehension. “I won’t tell Aemond you mentioned anything.”
You looked into Alicent’s eyes. They were a deep and rich brown. They were comforting. You realized that with eyes like that you would tell her anything she wanted. But her gaze was too hot so you swallowed hard and looked away from her when you told her what Aemond had said.
“He thinks Helaena is gay, and is obsessed with getting her and I together. I’m ninety percent sure that’s the sole reason he invited me over today.”
Alicent stopped stirring and stared at you.“Gay? Why does he think Helaena is gay?”
You shrugged.
Alicent placed a hand on her hip. "I think you do know."
You dared look up. Alicent's attention was fully focused on you. You felt your stomach in your throat but you spoke anyway.
“According to Aemond, Helaena never expresses interest in men or in dating a man, only talks about women she admires, attends a historically women’s college and majors in women’s studies, and finally that she only ever brings girls home on the holidays.”
Alicent chuckled and went back to stirring the gravy. “Oh gods. You know I’ve never known why kids today still hang onto outdated stereotypes about sexuality. I was the very same at Helaena’s age, she’ll grow out of it when she meets her future husband. I know I did.”
You pushed yourself onto the counter and sat down, intrigued at the revelation of Alicent's past.
“You were a women’s studies major at an all girl college?”
Alicent tilted her head to the side.“Sort of. I majored in English literature at Vassar, and I only ever brought my girl friends home for the holidays. Until I met my late husband of course.”
Aemond had never told you that his mother had gone to an all women’s university or that she had a BA in English Lit. It piqued your interest. You needed to know more.
“How did you meet him?”
Alicent returned her gaze to the stove and brought the heat of the burner even lower. “My father introduced us. He was Viserys’ chief of staff in his first term.”
You knew there had been an age difference between them but had not imagined it was that big.
“Interesting...”
Alicent didn’t reply but she glanced over at you.
You hopped off the counter, awkward with the sudden silence. “What else can I help with?”
Alicent smiled softly. “You really don’t have to (y/n).”
You shook your head. “I insist. Have you set the table? If not I would be more than happy to do so.”
Alicent turned the heat off and moved the sauce pot to a different burner. She looked up at you. “I laid everything out but I haven’t set it up.”
You clapped your hands together. “Consider it done.”
Then you raised your hand to your forehead and gave Alicent a mock salute.
Alicent laughed.
You set the table as you had always been taught to. Spoons and knives on the right and forks on the left.
Then, just as you were almost done setting the table you realized the salad forks were missing.
You double checked the pile where Alicent had left everything, hoping they were under a napkin and you had simply missed them. But no dice. They weren’t there.
So you walked back to the kitchen.
Alicent was now working on the salad she planned to serve. She looked up when you entered the kitchen, a smile on her face. It seemed like she always had a smile ready for you.
You smiled back, it was instinct around her. “Hey uhm- I’m almost done setting the table but I realized the salad forks are missing. I can’t find them.”
Alicent furrowed her brow. “Really? I could have sworn I set them out with the rest.”
She grabbed a nearby paper towel and wiped her hands of any residue.
Then she exited the kitchen and walked towards her china hutch.
You watched her from the kitchen entryway.
While you waited for Alicent to find the forks you looked about the room. When you looked up you realized someone had hung mistletoe over the entryway.
You smiled.
Alicent walked to you, forks in hand. She stopped at the entryway. “I’m so sorry I forgot to set them out with the rest.”
She handed the forks over to you.
You reached out to take them and for a brief minute your hands met hers, once again.
Your gaze met hers. “Don’t apologize. I honestly don’t know how you’re doing all the cooking and decorating all on your own. Aemond and I were barely able to put a tree up.”
Alicent smiled. She didn’t pull away this time. “You’re too sweet (y/n).”
You returned her smile. Your cheeks were starting to hurt but you wouldn't dare not smile back. “I do have to ask you something," you said, emboldened by the continued contact with Alicent.
Alicent raised a brow. “Ask me something?”
You nodded slightly then continued. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen mistletoe hung in the entryway of a kitchen before.”
Alicent’s brow furrowed. “Mistletoe?”
You looked up. Alicent followed your gaze.
Her eyes widened a bit when she noticed the mistletoe. “Oh I- That Aegon,” she cursed.
You looked back down at her and laughed.
Alicent met your gaze once more, blush filled her cheeks.
Then she pulled her hands away from yours.
You took the forks and held them against you. “It's quite a funny placement isn't it?"
Alicent walked past you, back to her salad preparations.
“Oh yeah? How so,” Alicent replied, busying herself with her salad to avoid looking at you.
“It reminds me of the old saying, love the meal and kiss the chef."
Alicent stopped chopping the greens and looked over at you. She let out a small laugh. “Is that a saying? I don't think I've heard it before."
You shrugged. “I swear I've heard it before, somewhere...Well if it's not it should be."
Alicent shook her head, the smile still on her face. “Let’s see if you still want to kiss the chef after you’ve had my cooking.”
Butterflies filled your chest. You stood up a little straighter. “Deal.”
Alicent turned to you once more, her eyebrows raised.
You twirled around and walked back to the dining room. You could feel Alicent’s eyes on you as you walked away.
You finished setting the table.
Then you stepped back and admired your work.
You hoped Alicent would like it. So you turned to head back to the kitchen but stopped in the hall when you heard the doorbell ring.
You turned to open it but Aemond beat you to it.
“Sister,” Aemond said and reached out to hug a familiar blonde.
Alicent walked out of the kitchen and went to the door.
Helaena let go of Aemond and turned to her mother. Alicent wrapped Helaena in another hug.
Behind her, a silver haired girl stood awkwardly in the doorway.
Helaena pulled away from her mom and stepped back to the silver haired girl’s side. She slid her hand in the girl’s. “Mom, Aemond, this is my best friend Baela.”
Alicent stepped forward and stuck her hand out. “It’s a pleasure to meet you Baela.”
Baela shook Alicent’s hand. “Thank you for having me over Mrs. Targaryen. Helaena has told me so much about you all.”
Alicent laughed lightheartedly. “All good things I hope.”
You took note that she didn’t ask Baela to call her Alicent.
Aemond gave Baela a polite nod. “Welcome Baela.”
Baela smiled at him. “Thank you Aemond.”
Then Aemond noticed you standing in the hall and he waved you over. You approached them with a smile.
Aemond went to your side and put his arm around your shoulders. “Helaena look who’s joining us tonight.”
Helaena smiled when she turned to face you. “(y/n), it’s nice to see you again.” She stepped forward and gave you a hug.
Aemond dropped his arm and stepped away from the both of you.
You returned Helaena’s hug. Out of the corner of your eye, you noticed Aemond giving you a knowing smirk.
Helaena pulled away and held you at arm’s length. “I’m so happy you’re joining us for dinner.”
“As am I,” you replied.
Helaena gave your arms a squeeze before she stepped back to Baela’s side.
You stuck your hand out to Baela. “Nice to meet you. I’m Aemond’s friend (y/n).”
Baela shook your hand warmly. “Nice to meet you as well.”
Then Baela stepped back and Helaena looped her arm around Baela’s.
“We’ll be upstairs in my room. Let us know when dinner is ready,” Helaena said before she and Baela started up the stairs.
“Okay,” Alicent said as she watched them leave. Then she turned to you and Aemond.
“Do you need any more help,” you asked Alicent.
Alicent shook her head. “You’ve been a tremendous help. Please go have fun.”
Aemond put his arm around your shoulders once more. “Let’s go play some video games on Aegon’s new system.”
Aemond led you to the stairs.
You craned your head back to look at Alicent. “If you need any more help just let me know! I’d be more than happy to.”
Alicent gave you another smile. “I will.”
Then she walked back into the kitchen and you followed Aemond up the stairs.
After about an hour of playing mario party with Aemond and Aegon (who you didn’t much care for because he could be crass but he had never been improper towards you so you didn’t mind him much) you heard the doorbell ring.
“That will be grandfather,” Aemond said with a sigh.
Aegon slumped down in his gaming chair on the ground. “I don’t want to go down.”
Aemond clapped a hand on his brother’s shoulder. “Sooner we go say hello the sooner we can say goodbye.”
Aegon groaned.
You turned to Aemond. “Oh come on, your grandpa can’t be that bad.”
Aegon looked at you with an incredulous expression. “You have no idea."
Then you all stood and made your way to the entrance.
You trailed behind the boys.
You saw Alicent at the door with an older man who you figured was her father, and three younger men who greeted Alicent with smiles and hugs. You figured they were her brothers.
Aemond had told you he had three uncles on his mother’s side. He hadn’t mentioned much about them other than they were all still bachelors, which to you spoke volumes about them as two looked older than Alicent and only one looked younger than her.
The older man turned to Aegon and Aemond, who were now at the door.
“Boys,“ the man cheered before greeting each one with a hug and heavy pat on the back.
Aemond returned the hug while Aegon went limp in his grandfather’s arms. Then their uncles greeted each one.
You noticed that Alicent had straightened her posture and kept a more neutral expression. She greeted her father and sibling politely, with none of the warmth of earlier greetings.
There was a lot that you didn’t know about Alicent and her family but you figured it was not all rainbows and sunshine by the change in her demeanor.
“You got here just in time father. Dinner is ready and served,” Alicent proclaimed.
Her father nodded. “Very good timing Alicent.”
Then Alicent turned to Aemond. “Would you tell the girls it’s dinner time?”
Aemond nodded. Then he sped back up the stairs. He reached you and started to tell you but you told him you had heard.
So he left you and went to tell Helaena and Baela.
You made your way down the staircase and to the dining room.
Alicent’s father and brothers seated themselves. Her father sat at the head of the table and insisted Aegon sit on the other end. Aegon did not protest.
Alicent came out of the kitchen with the salad she prepared in her arms.
You went to her side. “Do you need any help bringing out the food?”
Alicent gave you a half smile. “It’s alright (y/n). I’ve set it all on the table. You just sit down and enjoy.“
You nodded and followed Alicent into the dining room. You sat down on the empty side of the table. You introduced yourself to Alicent’s family as you sat down. They all gave you various levels of appropriate greetings.
Thankfully Aemond, Helaena and Baela came in and sat down next to you. Aemond sat to your right, beside his grandfather, and Helaena to your left. Baela sat on her left, with Aegon on Baela’s left. Opposite you sat Alicent. To her left sat her brother Gwayne (as he had introduced himself to you), beside his father. To Alicent’s right sat her brothers Lyonel and Martyn.
You took in the sight of the absolute feast that was before you. “This all looks delicious, Alicent,” you said without thinking.
Alicent gave you a small smile, blush tinting her cheeks once again. “Thank you (y/n). You’re too kind.”
Her father, Otto as you now knew him, let out an indifferent huff. “The roast looks a bit overdone. How long did you leave it in for,” he remarked.
Alicent’s smile fell from her face. She looked down at her hands. “I followed mother’s recipe to the letter father.”
Otto let out another huff. “We’ll see about that.”
Alicent frowned.
Your focus was pulled away from them when Aemond gently ribbed you with his elbow.
“You’ve got the perfect seat to talk to Helaena,” he whispered.
You turned your head slightly to get a better look at Helaena. She was too busy chatting with Baela to even notice you.
You turned back to Aemond. “It’s not happening Aemond.”
Aemond frowned then turned his attention to his grandfather.
Otto rose from his seat and tapped his wine glass with a fork, calling everyone’s attention.
“It warms my heart to see the family gathered for another Christmas. A man’s true wealth can be measured by the strength of his family...and the strength of his business. I am pleased to announce that your uncle Ormund has set up a donor fund for Aegon’s first mayoral campaign.”
Alicent’s brothers clapped and cheered for Aegon. Alicent clapped softly and gave Aegon a sympathetic look.
Aegon’s face turned a sickly pale color. He didn’t meet his grandfather’s gaze.
You had a feeling this was the first Aegon was hearing of his mayoral candidacy.
Otto raised his glass. “To Aegon, first stop the mayor of Oldtown, last stop the president’s office.”
“Huzzah,” Martyn cheered.
You raised your glass alongside the rest purely out of propriety. Everyone could tell by the look on Aegon’s face this was the last thing he wanted.
You turned to look at Alicent who had guilt written all over her face. Your heart softened.
Otto set his glass down after taking a drink. Then he grabbed the carving knife and fork and got to work on the roast.
The meal was going well. Until of course Alicent’s family set their attention towards you.
Lyonel, Alicent’s eldest brother, turned towards you. “So (y/n), what’s your family do?”
Martyn nodded. “Yeah your name sounds familiar.”
You took a quick sip of your wine before you replied. “My family are mainly philanthropists now but our family used to own the majority of the railways in the country,” you confessed.
“That’s right, (y/l/n) rail,” Otto chimed in.
“Yes sir, but my father is focused on tech philanthropy now.” Below the table your palms started to sweat. Talking with Otto Hightower felt a lot like speaking with your grandfather as a child. They both had very imposing auras.
“A pity,” Martyn responded as he shoveled another piece of roast into his mouth.
Alicent whipped her head towards her brother. “Martyn,” Alicent chided.
Martyn shrugged. “What? Her family used to be major players in the nation.”
Lyonel nodded, agreeing with his brother. But he didn’t stop there. “So why aren’t you spending Christmas with them?”
You dug your fingers into the palms of your hands. You felt like something was stabbing the inside of your throat.
Thankfully,  Alicent and Aemond came to your aid. “Lyonel,” Alicent reprimanded.
Then she turned to you. “You don’t have to answer that (y/n). Please forgive my brothers.”
Aemond nodded. “Yeah (y/n) you don’t have to engage my troublesome uncles.”
Lyonel and Martyn rolled their eyes.
Otto was silent but his piercing gaze remained on you.
You swallowed hard before you put on a polite smile. You looked at Aemond then at Alicent. “It’s alright,” you assured them.
Then you turned to Alicent’s brothers.
“I came out to my family a few months ago and it's safe to say they don’t approve of my new ‘lifestyle’ as they call it.”
Lyonel’s face went red. Martyn looked away.
Internally, you smiled at the sight of them embarrassed.
Alicent’s voice pulled you back to the present. “They’ll come around eventually (y/n). The love a parent has for their child is immeasurable.”
You smiled at her. “I really hope you’re right.”
Gwayne, who had not said much all dinner, cleared his throat. All eyes turned to him.
He turned to Aemond. “So Aemond, how’s your fencing coming along?”
And just like that the pressure was off you and onto Aemond.
Many minutes later the meal came to a close.
The men whisked Aegon and Aemond outside to play ball, leaving only the women inside.
You, Alicent, Helaena, and Baela cleaned up the table.
Alicent and Baela made their way to the kitchen with the leftover food while you and Helaena stacked up a pile of dirty dishes.
Helaena looked over at you. “That was very brave of you,” she said.
You set the plate you had picked up down. “What was brave?”
Helaena stopped clearing the table. She turned to face you. “Telling everyone your family iced you out after you came out. Coming out to your family is incredibly brave, and you’re even braver for sharing that with practical strangers.”
You smiled and felt your face warm. You weren’t attracted to Helaena but she had an otherworldly presence that made any attention she gave you feel special. “Thank you Helaena.”
She reached out and squeezed your shoulder. “If you ever need to talk or need support, I’m here for you.”
You put your hand on top of hers. “Thank you.”
Then the two of you finished clearing the table.
You finished bringing the last of the dirty dishes into the kitchen.
Helaena trailed in after you and set her stack on the counter. “Mother, Baela and I will be in my room.”
Alicent nodded, up to her elbows in leftover food that she was trying to shove into various containers.
Baela and Helaena left the kitchen.
You turned to Alicent. “Do you need some help with that?”
Alicent struggled to secure the lid on the container as she had over packed it with food. Alicent shook her head. “I got it.”
You continued to watch her struggle. “I don’t think you do.”
Alicent stopped trying and stepped aside. “Okay then tough guy, you give it a go.”
You smiled and walked up to the counter. You pressed the lid down on all sides until you heard it click. It was secure.
Alicent clicked her tongue. "Lucky try."
You turned to her. “Always happy to help.”
Alicent took the container full of food and stacked it with the others. “You don’t have to hang around here (y/n). You can go see Aemond or Helaena.”
You furrowed your brows. “Helaena?”
Alicent turned to the fridge and started the game of stacking the leftovers. “Yes, I saw the two of you talking while you cleared the table. Perhaps Aemond was right after all. I’ve never seen Helaena take to someone new so quickly.”
“You were watching us," you asked, butterflies forming at the thought of Alicent spying on you.
“Why do you say it as if I was spying on you? I saw you from the window in the kitchen is all." She said with a lazy smile on her face.
“Right....We were just talking. Besides,Aemond is out playing sports with your brothers and father and I am not a sports fan. And I would hate to interrupt Helaena and Baela's alone time,” you joked.
Alicent chuckled. She turned to grab the rest of the leftovers from the counter.
You stepped forward and grabbed them. You handed them to her, one by one. “Besides, I like being in your company,” you confessed.
Alicent stopped arranging the leftovers and looked back at you. “Really?”
You nodded.
Alicent smiled shyly and returned her attention to the refrigerator. “I wish my own children felt the same. All but Aemond dodge my calls.”
You shrugged. “If you ever need anyone to talk to, I’m always free.”
Alicent turned to you and you handed her the final container of leftovers. “Thank you (y/n).”
Her fingers lingered over yours. Alicent looked down at them. She stared at them for a moment before biting her lip.
 “What’s your verdict?”
You furrowed your brows. “I’m sorry?”
Alicent looked up, and took the container from you. “About my food. Was it good enough to kiss the chef?”
Your face went hot. “Oh...uhm I-”
Alicent placed the container in the fridge then closed it. She turned back to you.
You were still too stunned to say anything.
So her smile fell and she shook her head. “Forget it, it was stupid.”
“No it’s not stupid I-," you stammered then cleared your throat. “I was just caught off guard is all.”
Alicent stared at you, not saying anything.
So you continued.
“The roast was cooked perfectly.”
Her smile returned. “Thank you (y/n).”
You stepped closer to her. “So I do believe I will kiss the chef after all.”
Alicent swallowed hard, not taking her gaze off you. “Oh,” she whispered.
You stood in front of her, and looked down at her lips. “May I?”
The last thing you wanted was for Alicent to feel uncomfortable or coerced. So you waited for her reply before doing anything else.
Alicent gave you an almost imperceptible nod.
You leaned in, at first determined to kiss her lips, but as you neared her skin you thought better of it.
She was just committing to the bit, you told yourself, she didn't actually want you to kiss her.
So you placed a gentle kiss on Alicent’s cheek, inches away from her lips but still in a chaste enough location.
You noticed a small frown spread across Alicent’s lips as you pulled away.
But it was quickly wiped away.
Alicent blushed furiously. She looked away from you.
You also felt your face warm.
You heard footsteps approach the kitchen. So you stepped away from Alicent and leaned on the counter.
Alicent must have also heard them as she busied herself with wiping down the stove top with a nearby rag.
Aemond appeared moments later. He looked between you and his mother, slightly suspicious, but then he shook his head and turned to you. “Aegon wants another couple rounds of Deadly Fighter 5. You up for it?”
You nodded. “Yeah, let’s go.”
Aemond turned and headed towards the hall.
You started after him but turned at the entryway of the kitchen. “It was a lovely meal, thank you.”
Alicent nodded, her cheeks still rosy. “Of course.”
Then you hurried after Aemond.
A part of you wished you had been brave enough to kiss Alicent on the lips.
You mashed various button combinations as your chosen fighter threw punches at Aemond’s chosen character on the tv screen.
He was currently beating you  in the second round.
Behind you, Aegon took a hit from his bong and blew it out in perfect circles.
“So let me get this right, you want to fuck our mom,” Aegon repeated.
You grimaced. “Why must you say it like that?”
Aemond’s character delivered the killing blow to you. You lost.
Aemond turned to you. “Aegon’s crudeness aside, he’s not wrong. I’ve seen the way you linger in the kitchen alone with her.”
You felt your face start to warm. You cleared your throat and tried your best to appear nonchalant.
“I didn’t want her to think I was a rude guest. No one else was helping her,” you argued.
Aegon took another hit before he spoke again. “You know, I always thought Mom was a lesbian,” he mused.
Aemond turned to him. “You did?”
Aegon nodded. “She never really liked Dad, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen or heard her call a man sexy.”
Aemond furrowed his brows. “Because Dad was a dick. Mother is a devout Catholic she would never call another man sexy. I don’t even think that word is in her vocabulary.”
You turned to Aemond. “Your arguments for why Heleana is gay are just as flimsy.”
Aegon turned to Aemond. “You think Helaena is gay?”
Aemond shrugged. “What else could she be? She’s definitely not into men.”
“She’s not into anything. She’s a freak like that,” Aegon said and laughed at his own joke.
Aemond threw a pillow at Aegon’s head.
It bumped Aegon’s head and knocked the bong out of his hands.
“Hey,” Aegon whined.
You and Aemond laughed.
An hour later, the time had arrived for you to leave.
You descended the stairs with Aegon and Aemond in tow.
At the bottom of the stairs Alicent was already saying goodbye to her father and brothers. She finished giving each a hug goodbye.
Then she noticed Aemond and Aegon. Alicent asked the boys to say goodbye to their grandfather and uncles.
Aegon and Aemond did as their mother asked and gave their family a hug goodbye.
Helaena and Baela came down the stairs and Helaena said goodbye to her grandfather and uncles.
Once they were gone, Helaena informed her mother it was time for her and Baela to leave.
Alicent gave Helaena a big hug. “I’ll miss you, my bug, she said as she gave Helaena a kiss on the forehead.
Then Alicent said goodbye to Baela, another handshake.
Baela and Helaena made their way out the door.
You were the last guest there.
Alicent and the boys looked towards you.
You dialed your cousin Elia once more. Once again you got the automated message the call could not be connected.
“I’m having some trouble with my cell. Could I use your landline?” You asked.
Aemond furrowed his brows. He turned to his mom. “Do we even have one?”
Alicent nodded. “Of course we do.” Then she turned to you. “It’s this way.”
She led you to a small alcove with the landline and a seat next to it at the end of the hall.
You thanked her and dialed Elia’s number once more.
This time you got through. It rang three times before she answered.
“Hello?”
“Elia, it’s (y/n). I’m calling from my friend’s landline. I couldn’t get through on my cell for some reason.”
You pressed the phone closer to your ear. There was a lot of background noise and you could not hear Elia very well.
“I tried to call you. I can’t make it out to pick you up. There’s been a freak snowstorm in Sunspear. They closed all the roads and aren’t letting anyone through. I’m so sorry kiddo,” Elia lamented.
Your heart sank.
One for the snow storm that was probably wreaking havoc in Sunspear. It was a town that almost never got anything besides sun.
And secondly because now you had no way to get back to your flat.
You swallowed hard before answering. “Stay safe Elia. Please call me with updates, okay?”
“You got it kiddo. Is there anyone else who can take you  home?”
“I’ll figure it out, Elia. Don’t worry about that,” you said.
The line started to fade in and out. Elia wished you a safe ride home and a merry Christmas.
You did the same then hung up.
Then you walked back to the entryway where Alicent, Aegon and Aemond stood.
You shoved your hands in your pockets. “Soo...a freak snowstorm hit Sunspear and Elia can’t pick me up.”
Alicent frowned. “Oh no, is she alright?”
You nodded. “Yeah she’s doing okay. Uhm, so I’ll try to call my family’s driver to see if he can make it out. It might take him an hour or two to drive from High Garden but I’m sure he won’t mind.”
Alicent shook her head and approached you. “Nonsense, you’ll stay the night with us and you can leave with Aemond tomorrow evening.”
She reached for your hands and held them. “Got it?”
You flushed. “I couldn’t possibly bother you all like that.“
“You are no bother (y/n). Now come on, let me show you to the guest bedroom.”
Then Alicent pulled you along the staircase and to the guest bedroom.
Aemond trailed behind the two of you.
-
Alicent led you to a beautiful room with ample space and a fireplace. She asked Aemond to start a fire as the room could get quite cold at night.
Aemond did so without protest and soon a fire roared in the hearth.
Then Alicent asked Aemond to fetch you a pair of his pajamas.
Again, Aemond did so without protest.
While Aemond was gone you turned to Alicent. “Are you sure this isn’t an imposition? I can still call the family driver.”
Alicent waved you off. “You’re staying and that’s final. You got it?”
You nodded. Her dominant tone ignited a flame of your own. “Thank you,” was all you could say without giving your desire away.
Aemond returned with a fresh pair of pajamas in hand. He gave them to you.
You thanked him.
Alicent clapped her hands together. “Wonderful, we will leave you to get settled. Breakfast is tomorrow at 9am.”
You nodded. “Got it.”
Alicent reached out and gave your shoulder a light squeeze. “Sleep well,” she said.
You smiled. “You as well.”
Then Alicent turned and left the room.
Aemond stepped forward. “We’ll try again with Helaena at New Years.”
You groaned. “Please, no more of that.”
Aemond chuckled. “We’ll see. Good night (y/n).”
“Good night Aemond,” you replied as you shook your head.
Aemond walked out and shut the door behind him.
Finally, you were alone.
You changed into the pajamas Aemond gave you and settled into the plush king sized bed. You closed your eyes and hoped sleep would come. You decided to think about Alicent, in hopes you dreamt of her.
You smiled.
Unfortunately, sleep did not come for you. You tossed and you turned.
All you could think of was how much fun your family was probably having without you in St. Barts.
Then you did the worst possible thing. You grabbed your phone from the nightstand and pulled up your mother’s facebook account.
She had already posted many photos of the family in St. Barts. They were smiling from ear to ear, tanned, and it seemed like no one cared you were not in any of the pictures.
Your mom made no mention of your absence in the text of the post and none of the comments (mostly your mom’s pta and book club friends) asked about your whereabouts.
You clicked through the many photos. It wasn’t until you clicked on the last photo that you lost it.
It was a picture of your whole family (minus you), with a caption that read, “Family time is the best time. So thankful to God for allowing the whole family to join us for this Christmas getaway.”
Tears welled in your eyes. They had completely erased you out of the family. You threw your phone across the room.
The tears fell from your eyes and stained your cheeks. You could not stop the sobbing that followed.
It was stupid. You were stupid.
You should not have been crying for a family that clearly did not want you. You wiped your tears and tried to calm yourself.
You struggled to do so but after a few minutes you were finally able to breathe normally again.
You got out of bed and crossed the room to where you had thrown your phone. Then you picked it up. It was a little busted but nothing cracked.
So you pocketed it and decided to go downstairs for a glass of water.
As you started towards the kitchen you noticed lights were on in the study down the opposite hall.
Aemond had briefly mentioned the study on the initial tour he had given you.
You wondered who else was up this late as it was well past 2am.
So you stepped closer. As you neared the study you started to hear small cries and sobs.
You got closer and tried to peer inside.
Thankfully the door was ajar enough that you saw who was inside.
It was Alicent.
The first thing you noticed was how low cut her nightgown was.
It was a beautiful sage green, and it hugged her body pretty tightly. Then your gaze traveled back to the low cut top of the nightgown. You knew it was wrong to stare but you wanted to take in just how stunning Alicent was.
You looked closer and noticed her nipples peeked through the fabric of the nightgown. You swallowed hard.
“Fuck,” you whispered.
Then Alicent sniffled and dabbed her eyes with a handkerchief.
You shook your head. She was clearly upset and there you were ogling her.
You stepped back and tried to leave.
But it was too late.
Alicent stood from her seat. “Who’s there?” She called out.
You didn’t reply. You were far enough away that you hoped by staying quiet she would drop it and you could leave.
You didn’t want to intrude on a clearly private moment.
“Come forward,” Alicent demanded.
You silently cursed yourself. You had no choice but to enter the study.

My dear author, I know your requests are closed, but I couldn't miss the opportunity so I'm going to try my luck… If you can make an exception, I can get an inspired imagine/oneshot Daemon x Dornish reader in "tabaah ho gaye" by Shreya Ghoshal, with a lot of anguish (breaks my heart) but with a happy ending, please? (feel free to ignore and if you can't accept it I completely understand)
yes!! i’m loving all the bollywood inspired chapters. I was hoping I could use this as a part of the dragon and the dancer since y/n is a dancer and she could be ripping a solo in the mirrored palace like madhuri. Also just for the sake of the story we are gonna pretend that these girls magically know the same choreo as Y/N because we are doing things old school bollywood

Part 2 of The Dragon and The Dancer
Daemon Targaryen x Martell! Reader
Tumblr media
There was much bustling around the Old Palace in the past fortnight, Qoren’s nameday was upon Dorne and the celebrations as usual were to be magnificent, the Mirrored Palace was brighter yet again, every candle burning anew as sweet jasmine filled the palace; coating its walls in the sweet aroma of the flowers. It had been ten years since this palace was used, there was no joy in using it other than when you spent your nights there.
Another reason to rejoice was thrust into your hands by the gods and you simply didn’t want to linger in the misery of your loss, you provided the Sand sisters with keys; under guise that they would be performing for Qoren, along with your younger cousins of nines and tens. You step daughter Rhaena amongst the little girls, you had gotten her ghungroos of her own, made of blue cloth and light gold bells of her ankles to adjust to. She had been running a muck in her chambers, the little bells jangling as she tested her newest trinket.
You had already been dressed for hours, dressing your little cousins as they could barely standstill for more than a few moments, Rhaena’s curls were put in a puff over her head with a stringlet of dahlias, in a beautiful gold ensemble that matched yours, Baela had gone out with her father to mingle with guests arriving from all over Westeros and Essos.
You had led her out, hand in hand as her eyes wandered over to the sea of guests, many ladies approached you; to greet the newly minted wife of the rogue dragon. Many wondered what you had that they didn’t, many frowned at your colour; scoffing at your exoticness. Your husband was rather easier to spot, his striking silver hair inviting you over from a crowded room of people. You shuffled your way to him, offering more polite greeting to whomever spoke to you.
Daemon had been scowling at an envoy, sent to sway your father about the fighting in Stepstones and side with Craghas Drahar; your father had another reason to remain neutral, he wouldn’t harm your husband’s prospects for your sake but refused to side with them for old time nemesis sake. You reached near him as you followed his path of vision to lay upon a much familiar man, a man you wished you would never see again when you left his court at six and ten.
“You are going to make my men and I very happy.” His grimy fingers held your cheeks as he presented you with your own ghungroos.
You immediately intertwined your hands with Daemon’s, almost slotting yourself behind him as the old master recognized your face and gave your a filthy once over before approaching you. Daemon hadn’t quite realized what the man was looking at until the old master stopped to greet them.
“Ah, sweet Y/N. Look at how you have grown,” He gestured at your body as you partially hid behind Daemon. Given where the man had come from, it didn’t take long until Daemon out the pieces together.
“Prince Daemon!,” The old man sneered “Are you here to entertain us with your dragon?” He japed, you could see a nerve bursting in Daemon’s head as he held your hand tighter.
“Here to celebrate with my wife actually, you know. The princess of Dorne.” He gestured at you.
“I wish- wish you good luck in convincing my father, old Ser.” You gave him a practised petty smile before letting Daemon drag you along to the main hall in the Old Palace. The old master’s eyes widened as he watched you embrace Qoren and he placed a fatherly kiss upon your forehead as you wished him a happy name day.
You had found yourself in the chambers were your sisters and cousins all lounged before the performance, you informed them of your withdrawal without any reasoning before stomping to your own personal chambers. Daemon had caught up to you as he found you angrily undoing the knots of ghungroos to free yourself of them. Daemon kneeled infront you, offering to replace his stable hand with your shaky one’s as he undid the knots as you ranted your reasoning.
“I re- refuse to dance for such perverse, his entire court has seen me much bare than I am.” You sighed angrily, “I really wanted to dance for Qoren.” You pouted. Daemon found your reasoning justified as he pulled you onto his lap.
“You have the world’s time to dance for him again, you should do it when you feel ready, not when the known world thinks you are.” He pressed a kiss to your temple.
That was weeks before Daemon Targaryen had decided to descend dragon fire into the Stepstones.
“Your niece’s husband has a dragon!” You reasoned in stress as Daemon prepared his dragon.
“This is the matter of my house, wife. I must fight.” He urged frustrated, hoping for you to see reason in his excursions but all you could picture was you being widowed.
“And what of me? Your daughters? Don’t you owe us your life too?” You bellowed, yanking his gloves from him. He now looked at you perturbed and the scene you were causing. He motioned you to return his gloves and you insolently refused.
“Perhaps if your father would have provided men, this wouldn’t have happened!” This time Daemon let his frustrations get the best of him as he yelled at you, yanking his gloves free from you hands.
“You know I tried!” You shook your head, hoping to fight the tears that threatened to spill.
“You should have tried harder! Or mayhaps your claim to his heart isn’t as meaningful as he poses it to be.” He snapped before existing the chambers. He too didn't want to fight this war and yet he wouldn't allow shame to loom over his brother’s name.
You followed the girls out to the beach mount, Caraxes remained idle as he waited for his rider to mount him. Baela began petting the red dragon, talking to it as if he understood every word. However Caraxes held an odd attention towards you as his giant nostrils flared as he kept sniffing at you. You couldn't quite place what he meant to do and yet pet his snout, hoping he would return your husband to unspoiled; regardless of how angry you were at him at the very moment.
Daemon embraced both his weeping girls, kneeling at their level as they pressed kisses on either side of his cheek before he kissed their foreheads. He looked at you with guilt, hoping to gorge his words from before down his stomach and hitting his head with a rock over how tactless he had been, he came to embrace you; leave you with a parting kiss and yet you pulled away. Pointing at his red dragon, demanding him to leave, he approached once more but you shook your head. Again aggressively point at his dragon.
Daemon’s guilt-ridden eyes gave the women of his life one more look as they embraced one another before Caraxes let out a shrieking whistle and whisked him to the orange clouds of dusk. Just like that he was gone.
Your anger simmered in the coming fortnight as letters began to arrive from the Stepstones, they were written in haste as stains of dirt adored the corners of the papers. He wrote for his daughters and you, making the war sound like an entertaining ballad for his daughters and yet you knew the truth of how ineffectual the dragons had been in this war. He was fighting by hand, starved and pained.
Perhaps the distance and stress for your husband began to claw at your health, you grew nauseous everytime you laid awake to brink of morning as you wondered what he would be doing, was he hurt; was he alright?
Then the universe japed at you as you sat with Maesters, your stomach could barely keep down anything you were eating and as of last fortnight, your handmaidens began behaving oddly up until when they dragged you to the Maester’s chambers.
“Mayhaps two moons princess,” He exclaimed as he washed his hands “Shall I call for your father?”
You shook your head as you rubbed your belly, shaking your head as you realized the night conception. Qoren’s nameday.
More letters were shared between Daemon and you, yet you hid your condition from him; you knew if you told him he would evade his sense of strategy and begin recklessly tearing through people to end the war, with no adhere consequence of his own mortality. The fighting turned dirty as more Velaryon men lost their lives.
You had confessed your pregnancy to your father as you lounged with him at the beach, he had been elated; far too ready to throw yet another extravagant feast and you refused. Urging for him to hold off until your husband returns and not to mention this to anyone else. Perhaps they would figure it out as your belly grew but for now you needed to tell Qoren just to alleviate the gnawing sense of doom in your heart.
Then the letters grew less frequent, muddier and rushed as he professed his love over and over again. Every time you would wish upon them and burn the letters, praying he be returned to you whole. Until a moon turned and his letters stopped entirely, within the three moons he had left, you had never felt the kind of dread you had felt in the moment when the Maester informed you of no letters.
You fought your hasty beating heart, quarrelling for it to stop, to let you breathe normally for just a moment. You rummaged through your chests, hoping to find your ghungroos. For just a while you needed to escape this fear, it was the only thing that would protect your child from yourself. You hurried towards the Mirrored Palace.
The doors had been wide open as echoes of girls giggling and talking were heard from within the main hall, you didn't care to usher them out. You just needed to dance. You had opened the palace for the girls to dance in, it was a shame to keep such a place locked away when it was built with much love for your mother.
Your sisters saw you approach looking troubled, they understood why and sympathized. Some of them caught onto your growing belly during the last turn of the moon. Others figured it out from how you refused to eat certain foods that were once your favourites. Many figured with the four months remaining of your pregnancy, any wife would grow paranoid about their husband’s absence.
“Care to join us, dear sister,” Aliandra spoke up, shushing all your Sand sisters in the process. You didn't say a word, just nodded as your handmaiden helped you tie the ribbons in your ghungroos. Your sisters, with Baela and Rhaena had spent a better part of an hour; arguing over which song to dance over. They knew a few pieces that your mother had taught them and yet everyone had their favourites.
You simply walked to the middle, shrugging your shawl off to not have it in your way, you needed to dance, free-hearted and unabashed. They all awaited, letting you pick the song out of courtesy in your distressed state. You let out a wavering sigh before tucking your right leg behind the left.
Your sweet voice let out the first line of the song, and the master of musical arts and his entourage immediately recognized the song. The strings played their part as a melancholic tune echoed the marble in the palace.
A war widow’s prayer, a macabre choice in tunes and yet far too fitting to portray what it is you were battling within. It called for the safe return of her husband, how she offered her life to the gods for the safe keeping of her husband. Your sisters looked at one another before joining you at the center, all of your ghungroos created a melodic jangle as you danced as one. Rhaena remained seated, still unaware of this piece.
The flute chimed in, calling for the joyous days between Daemon and you, you closed your eyes envisioning the afternoons you had lounged on a sailboat as his daughters swam in the sea. The second verse forces you to remember the sheer aura that drove you toward him, the adoration you held toward him that scared you to the core, praying that your own envy of his essence wouldn't reflect as ill will.
You turned, and so did your sisters; making your skirts flare out in unison. You had to stop for a moment, your singing choked in a sob, as the words whimpered out of your mouth. The colours of your sisters' dresses blurred within the tears pooling past your eyes, they kept dancing knowing better than to not let you feel the anguish you were in.
You recalled your arguement, you hadn't let him kiss you when he left. It couldn't be the last time you kissed him, it simply couldn't. You refused to let that fight be the last of your conversation; even if you had to travel to the Stepstones yourself. There was one thing evident in the last three moons is how incapable of pure joy you were without him. A piece of your heart, packaged in the belongings that he took with him.
Your feet began to ache, from the change in your body due to babe but also how hard you landed on the footwork. The last verse past the bridge echoed across the walls, the notes of your siren-like voice called for far more spectators as you laid your emotions out on the floor, he needed to be okay- he had to be okay. As the last beats of percussion led to the crescendo of footwork, a foot soldier stopped at the gates of the Mirrored Palace, whispering something in your hand maiden’s ear, Her eyes widened as she ran inside, looking toward your dancing figure.
You paused in the middle, everyone still finishing the piece around you, she whispered something to your daughters who ran out of the palace. The shock in her eyes filled your stomach with dread as you walked past your dancing sisters, the thud of ghungroos as you took hastily walked towards the main gates, rubbing at your swollen stomach; far too afraid that if you lost your husband your body would force you to lose this last part of him too.
“Please don't be dead.”
“Please don't be dead.”
You stopped right by the doors, far too afraid to witness what was behind them. You patted your tummy, taking deep breaths as the knights stationed by the door opened them at your approach. There kneeled Daemon, head buried between his daughters’ shoulders as he engulfed them in his giant arms, you stood atop the stairs as tears of relief replaced the ones of anguish from moments before.
You hurried down the stairs, stopping merely a few feet away from him, praying that he was real. He looked up, face still spotted with specks of soot and dirt; his hair chopped much shorter as he wore a crown made of bone. His lips widened in a smile, a soft smile as he took sympathy to your tears. You threw yourself at him, sobbing the moment his arms wrapped around your shaking body.
“I thought- I thought.” You stammered still sobbing as he held your face in his hands “Your letters stopped and there was no news Daemon.” He nodded, letting your emotions pour out of you “I thought you were dead.” You wailed. He lifted you hand to his thudding heart inside his chest
“See, not dead,” He wiped your tears “I’m here, I’m here.” He cooed as his daughters also wrapped themselves around you and him. You caressed Baela’s hair as you felt her rubbing your arm.
You finally calmed down enough to pull apart, most of your emotions were to be blamed on something Daemon was unaware of, until he pulled back to give you an adoring once-over. His eyes stopped at your middle, letting his hand trail to the soft yet firm swell of your belly. It was unapparent from the fullness of your skirt at first glance but his eyes shot to you, a thousand questions looming behind those purple eyes.
“Five moons now,” You informed him, still sniffling as you smiled wider at his shock.
“Healthy?” He asked, still unable to grasp that there was a child within you.
“Healthy.” You nodded, Daemon’s eyes remained fixated on your middle before he engulfed you once more, picking you off your feet and twirled you around. You shrieked.
Daemon had not only returned victorious despite his brother's shunning and misjudgements but also returned to become a father to three children. There was much preparation to be done since he planned to take his wife to the king's landing, and use the celebrations of his great victory as a momentous event to introduce his wife, and now oncoming child to the court. Just as he had his twin daughters.
That night a steaming bath was prepared for the prince to wash himself of the muck and grime from all the fighting. It has only been mere hours since he learned of your pregnancy and had already begun the chicken mothering, he insisted that you lay in bed until he was done, before that he scolded you for bending to untie your ghungroos and anklets, kneeling down himself to undo them. You, however, as little defiant as ever followed after him to the bath.
He dropped his robe, giving you a full view of his back and the newest burns coating his left side. You gasped making him turn and scowl at you. “What did I say about going to bed?”
You shrugged the subject entirely, frowning at the gashes and stabs of arrows on his body. Your feelings bubbled up to a precipice yet again as your bottom lip wobbled. This time you scowled at him, pushing him towards the bath before dropping your own sleep shift to the ground.
Whatever Daemon was mildly irked over just moments before absolutely abandoned his mind, his eyes took in your bare body, the swell of your breasts and your prominent belly. He had no choice but to cave as you joined him in the bath, shuffling to straddle his legs as you gently washed at his wounds. He hissed out loud making you flinch your hand away.
The frown on your face was all too adorable as he chuckled at your reaction, he had lost feeling to the burned side of his shoulder long before and yet the concern on your face for a devious man like him made him melt behind his demeanour. One thing he knew for sure, was that after this bath, with no mind to the injuries that still caused him discomfort, he was going to ravage your swelling body like a beast gone feral on a full moon.

I saw your post about the Henna Night, hope it's ok for this comment from a Palestinian living in Diaspora who spent her child/teen/young lady years living in Palestine. Every village/city/family in Palestine of course does things a little different than others, this is my own experiences from going to like 100 weddings, lmao. Imo there is simply no Wedding like a Palestinian Wedding, it's the cultural backbone of our society gatherings. I personally hate when people compare a Henna Night to a Bridal Shower bc it's not interchangeable at all, but I acknowledge that westernization as well as accommodation's of Palestinians living in Diaspora has lead to people comparing Henna Night/Bridal Showers and have interjected Bridal Shower stuff into our tradition. Imo Henna Night is way more fun than the actual Wedding, I always loved going to those more. So the Bride's side of the family prepares for the Henna Night by inviting close family, friends, and usually women from the Groom's side as well. The Bride's family spends the day before or the day of the Henna Night preparing Henna Platters. As well as small bags of candy & small bags/cones of Henna paste as things to give to guests. Depending on the wealth of the family sometimes there more stuff but those are the main things, but usually there is always something to give the guests like tea, coffee, sodas, and sweets. During the Henna everyone wears Thobes, it's so beautiful to see the different styles of our Thobes. The Bride looks so beautiful in a Thobe/Headdress, I love it. The Bride's family also prepare platters of Henna decorated with flowers that (usually) the old woman/matriarchs will have the honor of carrying it on their heads (some dance without holding onto the platters with their hands! so iconic) as the women dance in a circle around the Bride. The grandmothers, or whichever woman with a good strong voice who Zagreet (idk how to do transliteration) but its singing where the lead singer will call out lines like "Heeyee this girl is the most beautiful in the world! Heeyeee we have come to celebrate her happiness! Heeyyeee may Allah's blessings fall upon this most gracious girl!" the lines are always made up on the spot so the singer has to have a sharp mind, the singer will also make up lines singing about the Bride, her smarts, beauty, personality, her generosity, or the generosity of her family, compliments to the Bride's mother, etc. These are always ended with the Ululation (trilling sound) that all women make at the end. During the Henna Night there's lots of singing, dancing, music playing, it always takes place at the Bride's Mother's house so its just such a cozy feeling of womanhood/family & bringing in the women of the new groom's family into the circle. Old women sitting on cushions/chairs with their canes, someone has a tubla (hand drum) & is playing, little girls in their thobes running around, teens showing off their thobes, the Bride's family, sisters, cousins, aunts, serving sweets & drinks, the Bride being celebrated. Continued...
omgggg i love reading this so much thank you.
yeah the bridal shower is not a great analogy because bridal showers in like the us are... not at all a celebration i feel like of the women the same way henna night is. you're right weddings are the cultural backbone in a way that i think a lot of nonpalestinians dont realize because of how many traditions they use throughout the whole ordeal.
