I asked a few of my favorite hazbin writers this and only one answered and it was ok but I felt like it could have been expanded on so here's my take

Vox, Val, Alastor, and Lucifer react to your love language being baking/cooking

Vox

(Starting with him because he's the one thaf inspired this).

Vox came from the 50s and even though I firmly believe he is past all the ingrained gender roles and homophobia I think he still has some internalized misogyny. He wants to be viewed as the man in the relationship, the breadwinner, the provider. He can cook for himself but it's pretty basic food (except steak. Like every other man since the invention of the grill how to bbq has been hardwired into his brain. If his partner also grills ya'll fight over whose turn to cook out it is)

(Unrelated but as a lesbian who loves to grill, and is the designated grill bro, butch lesbians or cookout lesbians are some of Vox's favorite type of gays to chill with)

I firmly believe that's why even though he's a sub, it's so hard and would take time and trust to get him to let you top and enjoy it. He's so worried people will find out and judge him, that you'll judge him. His ego can be very fragile.

Especially if we go with the Vox used to be a cult leader theory. His power, image, and success are linked to his ability to appear in control. To appear to have all the answers and take responsibility. It's going to take a lot of time and patience to unravel all that and help him seperate his personal and professional image.

That being said, a partner who uses acts of service as a love language is perfect for him. He's a busy man, so he tends to be a gift giver type. The gifts are always well thought out and expensive. He wants it to be something you need, want, can get a lot of enjoyment from, and be worth the money spent, so he puts time and effort into them. Unless he's just showing off by giving you his card and telling you to go nuts.

So you taking time to make his coffee for him the way he likes, ordering lunch from his favorite places and having it sent to his office so he remembers to eat, or just texting him reminders to drink water or eat/take breaks throughout the day makes him giddy.

If you're his assistant or something, (and I believe Vox absolutely would have his partner working for him/with him), then it's even better when you take on extra work to try and help him. Organizing his schedule, sorting emails/mail, and proofreading things. Any small act you do for him, because you want to and care about him, makes his heart rate pick up.

It'll really make him overheat, glitching slightly, literal heart eyes, if he comes home after a shitty day and you're cooking for him.

His internal monologue is absolutely raving about what a good housewife you are for him, a hard working husband.

Bonus points if you cleaned too! Either way, he adores you even more now, letting you fret and coo at him, removing his jacket and tie, pouring him a drink and telling him dinner will be ready soon and you made his favorite. He's so tempted to bend you over the counter right now, but that would ruin dinner. After you guys eat though, he's having you for dessert. Man's gonna make sure you know how much he appreciates this by turning your knees to jello, good luck walking tomorrow, doll.

If you bake treats and bring them to VoxTek he's gonna brag so much. Literally the embodiment of John Mulaney's, "That's my wife!" If you bring them just for him, he's defending his treats like they're the last ones in Hell. He has literally hit Val with a fly swatter for even asking if he could have one.

Valentino

Val wishes he could cook better. He's some kind of latino, so I feel like the fact he can't cook very well is a sore spot culturally. He can make the salsa and chips and like, help with stuff, he knows how to wrap tortillas and tomales (I picture him as like Mexican or Puerto Rican but that's just cuz the town I grew up had a large Puerto Rican group).

It doesn't help that his eyesight is even more shit in Hell. He can't see what he's doing hald the time. It ruins his art hobby too. He's overall just more easily frustrated with his bad eyesight.

I don't imagine you guys dating per se. Maybe you're his sugar baby, maybe you're someone he hired to help him do stuff like clean and organize and you just sorta start doing other things to help him. (Again I'm not saying it excuses jackshit, but as someone who worked with bipolar people and people with mood disorder I kinda see the fan theory in him, either way I think all the Vees could be sort of trained to be better people, but especially Val. We already saw Vox do it.)

After all, he's usually in a much better mood if you do and that means less outbursts. The first few times you cook him something he teases you about being his housewife, tries to make it sexual. It's not really something he clocks as being an act of love because I don't think you'd realize it yourself at first. I think the more you got to see him when he wasn't stressed, lashing out, being abusive, you'd start catching feelings. ("I can fix him", delulu asses)

He loves to be in the kitchen when you cook once it starts becoming a regular thing. He can't see clearly what you're doing but the way you move around the kitchen and get what you need, even if you're an ADHD mess and do steps out of order or at random, he can tell you know what you're doing. He likes to smell the food too while it's cooking.

He will ask you to try and make some spicier/more traditional foods he grew up with, but he doesn’t remember all of the ingredients, and it just gets him more frustrated he can't tell you. If you look them up and surprise him with it it'll probably be the most genuine, human response you get from him.

He's shocked, silent, standing frozen in the penthouse as familiar smells waft around him. You present him a plate nervously, practically shaking hoping it's good enough. The first bite nearly puts him in tears. No one's done anything this nice for him? Why would you? Lowkey thinks you want something from him. It's gonna make him paranoid for a while so don't expect a verbal compliment but he eats it all.

Eventually though, one day when you're in the kitchen cooking, humming softly and swaying your hips, one set of his arms will wrap around your waist, the other reaching around you help with the salsa, or wrap a tamale, and he'll prop his chin on your head and mumble out thanks. Some praise, maybe. Would definitely tell you stories about eating these foods growing up.

It's the first step towards having an actual relationship with him.

Alastor

This man almost always insists on cooking. He isn't much of a sweet tooth either. You tell him one night you want to try cooking for him. Tell him you understand it's an activity he enjoys and relaxes too, (especially if you know it's something that reminds him of his mother), but you want to do something for him and this is one way you show you care.

It's gonna remind him of his Mama so much that if you didn't know why he loved cooking so much before you do now. He compromises. You pick the meal and gather the ingredients and do most of the cooking and he helps prep and does dishes.

He playfully critiques you the entire time about adding some spice too it or a little southern flair. Just smack him with the wooden spoon, gently. It's gonna make him laugh because his Mama used to do that when he wouldn't keep out of the sweets, or tried to add stuff to her cooking.

Once you start it becomes habit to help each other in the kitchen every night, trading off who cooks and who preps and does dishes.

If you do find baked goods he likes that aren't too sweet and send them to him as snacks, especially to Overlord meetings, he's so fucking obnoxious about his sweet little doe (doesn't matter if you are one or not) and how they spoil him. Especially rubs it in Vox's face (not him whining to his partner so they send him with treats too so he can also brag).

Only shares with Charlie, Rosie, Niffty, and sometimes Zestiel. If he's feeling generous, Husk can have a bite.

Low-key also has a thing for his partner behaving domestically even if he isn't exactly invested in traditional marriage.

Favorite activity though is dancing with you in the kitchen to jazz while dinner cooks, holding you close, in his room usually, so he can hear the sounds of the bayou. If he closes his eyes he can pretend this is how his life went and that his Mama is in the corner or sitting in her chair, watching him, happy to see him find someone.

He will literally kiss Vox willingly before admitting that last part though.

Lucifer

It's not that he can't cook, it's just....it's easier to just snap his fingers and make food appear. He's been in a depressed slump for decades man, he's lived off of the 'want food, no cook, only eat' mindset.

When you come into his life it's a complete overhaul. Despite what issues you have yourself you can recognize someone in worse state than you and immediately categorize and prioritize. First thing first, get this man's duck collection/obsession organized, thinned out, and under control.

Second, help him work through his issues with Lillith and Charlie. Encourage therapy, be a mediator between him and Charlie (and trust me she appreciates it. She knows her dad struggles, didn't know how bad, and still feels awkward). Help him socialize more, rebuild his connection with the other sins.

Get this man a work schedule!

Then it's on to personal habits. You help him get out of bed, you're both probably a little helpless in the sleeping on time category though. Help him get a routine again to keep out of his funk. Then you start cooking for him. It just happens naturally. You enjoy cooking, you enjoy showing people you love how much you care by providing good meals.

At first he's gonna resist and tell you he can handle that, you already do so much for him. He can cook or better yet he can just make it appear and you laugh and tell him it tastes better when it's made with love. He brushes it off as a joke too, you're both just being silly and obviously you said that to get him to quit fussing. Except, unholy hell does it actually taste so much better.

Lucifer hadn’t realized how bland and unsatisfying just materializing the food was. Maybe that's because he was so depressed and uninterested in what he ate, maybe not. Either way, your cooking is so much fucking better. He actually looks forward to eating now. If he gets caught up in work or has a bad day, you make sure to always bring him something, leaving it as an offering of sorts. It almost always works and entices him to eat at least once.

You cook, he does dishes, and he will not budge on that rule. He wants to be a fair man. He occasionally boots you out to do dessert, though. Apple pie is his bitch and you've never tasted one as good as his. He also makes good pancakes and some absolutely orgasmic angel's food cake.

Ironicall, devil's food cake is one of your go to recipes. Sometimes you both make a cake and take it to events just to watch people get confused as fuck when it's revealed the literal Devil did not make the devil's food cake.

Everyime you're in the kitchen together it's a disaster, you're both to silly and chaotic. You were making noodles one time and he threw flour at you so you smacked him with the noodle you were holding, leaving a line of flour and a speck of dough against his cheek. From there it escalates. It happens every time. Making cakes together, you're smashing frosting on each other. Making cookies, you're fighting each other to stop eating cookie dough.

Once, after you get fed up with him stealing her spatula to lick the chocolate off of, hovering above you with his wings, you pout and bat your eyes, asking him sweetly to please give it back. He swoops down in front of you, booping your nose to smear chocolate on it and leaning in to kiss you, letting you have a taste of the chocolate batter you were mixing for brownies. While his tongue is in your mouth, drunk off the taste of you and chocolate you smash an egg over his head and let out a triumphant cheer, snatching back your spatula.

He's so stunned his wings disappear and he drops the last few inches to the ground while you cackle. His heart is pounding, his ears are ringing, and his chest feels like it's gonna explode. His eyes are literal sparkles. He hasn't felt this much joy, wonder, and love since Charlie was born. It feels like witnessing creation all over again, of the breathlessness he felt when he first saw Lillith.

You're laughter stops when you realize he's just staring at you awestruck and you smile, asking if he's ok.

"For once...yeah..Yes. I'm ok." He responds, genuinely. You kiss his cheek and resume baking. He watches you from the counter now, dreamily, thinking about how he's gonna marry you someday.

Hello! Kind of a weird meta question that may be too early to call, but what are your thoughts on Vegapunk? For some reason, I can’t seem to get a good grasp on how to feel about them. Normally, I am all aboard with each arcs’ respective “ally” character - but I just can’t seem to fully get behind Vegapunk.

the important thing to understand here, i think, is that vegapunk is not meant to be an unambiguously good character. he’s not! he’s a brilliant and complicated man with many flaws whose inventions, while well-meaning, have done immense harm to the world! and i think it would be a mistake to assume that the story expects you to view him as entirely good just because he is, at present, an ally of the strawhats.

egghead arc is, in large part, about the collateral damage of vegapunk’s brilliance. this is demonstrated to us both on the worldwide scale (his creation of war machines) and on the interpersonal scale (what happened to kuma). i don’t think it’s a coincidence that we’re shown the catastrophic destruction of lulusia by one of vegapunk’s creations right at the beginning of the arc.

vegapunk is the smartest man in the world, but correspondingly we’ve been shown he’s also selfish, overconfident, and doesn’t consider consequences. until things reach a head in egghead arc, he’s unwilling to go against the government in any but the most plausibly-deniable of ways, even as his creations are used to commit atrocious acts of violence.

and it’s not as though he was forced into government service with no other options available- he’s obviously subject to coercion by the elder stars, but he also declines dragon’s offer to join the revolutionary army explicitly because the government pays better, even while standing in the ruins of ohara. like, it is noteworthy that vegapunk’s personified greed is an antagonistic force in this arc.

vegapunk is a character trying to make amends by the time of egghead arc- by helping bonney, by investigating the void century- and like i said, it’s clear that his intentions have always been to help the world; but that doesn’t absolve him of responsibility for all the damage he’s done, either.

additionally, i would say that the designated ‘ally’ character for this arc, if there is one, is bonney, not vegapunk. her role as the emotional core of this arc is quite similar to law’s in dressrosa. vegapunk’s narrative role is, i think, somewhat more complicated than that.

I assume you mean in the canon au and not the alastor makes a deal with you au but if I’m wrong feel free to request again :)

I’m sorry it’s not much interacting but they don’t really meet much at this point in the story

Warnings: abuse mentioned, obsessive behaviour

After his seven year absence, alastor did try to subtly seek you out

He lingered around where he met you and expected to find you in the same position you were in seven years ago, a starving little fawn on the street who was desperate enough for shelter that you’d be willing to make a deal

But he didn’t find you, not a trace of the little doe eyed fool he had felt such a familiarity with

So he cut his losses for the meantime and decided that he would trouble one of the many souls he owned to stalk you down

So imagine his surprise when on a random afternoon he passed by angel and heard your voice from angels annoying little gadget

He asked for a closer look and there you were, the person who had been on his mind for the seven years was stood with the Vs surrounding them

You looked different though

You were cleaner and more well fed, meaning you had been able to escape the cold streets and found food

But there was a difference in your eyes as you posed with the Vs, there was a lack of something

Your eyes didn’t hold the same curiosity or passion that he knew of the girl he met several years ago who was so eager to learn more about her abilities

You looked like a candle lit flame that was running at the bottom of wick and was being drowned out and smothered by candle wax, your fire was slowly dying inside you

He demanded angel showed him everything out there that pertained to you, and angel gladly did with the small hope that maybe alastor would take enough interest in you to help you

Alastor absorbed every piece of media you were in and every sound you had created, anything that the internet held of you alastor would consume

He observed how the passion slowly died from your face and the years went on, he heard how your music which was once so alive and inventive turn into something generic and easily forgotten

In many ways he prepared himself to mourn the person he had met, he doubted that there was any of you left to mourn considering the Vs had drained your presence of its spark

Alastor felt something he hadn’t felt in a while, he felt pity for you

He heard of the horrifying things your were subjected to on a daily basis and he just couldn’t stop the sympathy from bubbling to to the service

He was no good soul owner himself, he was fairly abusive but that’s only when he had to correct behaviour

He felt overwhelming jealousy and anger at Vox over how Vox had claimed your soul before him and ruined you

Alastor could have made you into something great, something more than a pet to the rich for when they felt cruel or bored

Alastor was almost ready to give up on you and see you as a failed project, but something stopped him

angel had mentioned your acts of kindness towards him and alastor had to hear of your very intriguing presence from Charlie, so he decided to test you before giving up to see if you were worth more effort

He followed you for weeks on end with his shadows, and he saw many things

He saw how your cunning side could slip out when you saw an opportunity to escape a punishment and how manipulative you could be

He also saw how your anger had gotten the best of you on many occasions and watched as your powers manifested into something dangerous, something lethal

He fantasied about making you into a powerful being, someone who could one day be on a level close to his

He wanted to sculpt you like a sculpture and make you into something bigger than the pentagram had ever seen, he wanted to protect you from the past and make you strong enough to protect yourself from the present

He had angel dust sneak into your room and slip a radio under your bed so he could listen in to your surroundings

He heard you be your authentic self without having to water yourself down

He heard your moments of brief happiness and he heard the many overwhelmingly cruel acts committed to you

He heard your sobs and swear for a minute he felt himself grow caring enough to want to comfort you

So he played a soothing song from the radio once you were too distracted by your sobbing, so it could calm you to sleep and at least offer you the minimal comfort he could offer to you

He felt himself growing attached to the idea of bringing you back to the hotel and surrounding you in his arms like a child to make sure you wouldn’t have to see the faces of your abusers again

He began concocting plans to help you escape, and he was determined to one day own your soul so he could sculpt you in his image like he intended to do several years ago

He had never felt himself caring about anyone this much, he had a need to know where you were at all times and even felt himself grow antsy to see you in person and talk with you like you once did

Parts of him even felt a paternal sense of worry and concern over you in a way he’s never experience before

And he was determined to save you from Vox and bring you home

Let’s begin!

Calls his partner “Angel” or “Love”. But will come up with outrageous names to annoy you too.

Makes his loved ones custom ducks. And he gets really nervous showing you the finished product.

“So uhhh… I made this one for you.” He said quite nervously as he gave you your duck. “Oh it’s lovely Lucifer… thank you so much.”.

He looked at you flabbergasted “Wait really?! You like it…?”. You just chuckled “Of course I do!”

You were there for him when Lilith left him. He was so down but you cheered him up.

When Lucifer and Alastor had their little sing session he was so happy that you sided with him and not that red deer guy.

He thinks it’s adorable that you get along with Charlie. He loves the way you care about her, and believe in her dreams.

Besides his “calm” personality he gets quite protective over time. When he notices you get hurt by something/someone he is immediately there you care for you.

He makes unhinged comments and jokes without even noticing that they’re out of place sometimes.

Ever since angel called him a “Short king” the term has stuck with him. He casually calls himself that as well.

He tries to learn more slang from the other residents and tries them out on you… “You serve *snaps fingers*… the outfit slaps ngl.” You just laughed your ass off due to his stiff voice and lack of feeling.

He enjoys basin and cooking a lot. He prefers to have you as a helper.

He’s a ambivert who’s pretty good at masking. Not many people notice when he’s exhausted.

Definitely a hopeless romantic. He WILL take you on a date with roses and jazz in the background. And if everything goes well he maybe even take you to his place?

He likes to get dominated but he also loves to dominate. Whatever you’re up to actually, he’ll just go along with it.

Groans overall but whimpers and whines when he’s close.

When you ride on top of him he digs his fingers into your sides and it gets firmer and stronger as he finishes.

He is definitely very weak in the way that he can’t hold in for long. You do one right move and he’s cumming fast.

He also enjoys bondage very much. He’d fuck you while you hand from the roof with a gag in your mouth. In combo with a blindfold? Seeing you drool? He finishes faster than you can say “Bow chika bow bow.”

GREAT IN AFTERCARE!!! He will spoil you with sweet words and cuddles. “You did so great love… thank you.”

He is already autistic coded with a special interest in ducks. But imagine he invented them. Like imagine he said ”Hey God… I have this little idea, do you think you can make it work?”

He gets nervous if you two make eye contact for too long. He’d laugh it off though saying it’s no big deal for him.

So so done with life sometimes he just drinks 3 black coffees in the span of 3 hours.

He easily gets distracted by literally anything and everything. Also procrastinates a lot.

He loves hugs from the back. And hugs in general make him feel so loved by you.

His love languages are Physical Touch and Acts of Service. You making him breakfast and cuddles afterwards? He’s straight up in love.

“You made this all for me love…? Wow that’s so amazing thank you so so much…” he gets stressed easily so seeing how much you care for him makes him tear up.

╺ Calls you something along the lines of bitch and– if you have breasts– sugartits.

╺ Clingy. Very clingy. Is always touching you in some kind of way; holding your hand, his arm around your shoulders or waist, ect.

╺ Talks a lot. A. Lot. But sometimes worries that you get annoyed at his constant talking– not that he'd ever admit that.

╺ Does not hesitate to brag about you every chance he gets.

╺ While he can groom his wings on his own, he likes when you do it for him.

╺ He loves to cuddle. While spooning he'll put his wings around you, sort of like a makeshift blanket. He, however, prefers to have his face buried in your chest while you run your fingers through his hair.

╺ Gets really pissy when you ignore him, but will annoy you constantly until you pay attention to him again.

╺ Steals food off of your plate right in front of your eyes, then acts like he didn't do anything.

╺ "What? I didn't do shit."

╺ Every time he spots you talking to another man, he gets really jealous– and low-key pretty worried that you'll leave him for someone else, but keeps that to himself.

╺ This jealousy and worry is doubled if the man you're talking to is flirting with you, which is when Adam will step in– kissing you right then and there or wrapping his arms around your waist and burying his face in the crook of your neck.

╺ Isn't too keen on jewelry like bracelets, much less wearing matching ones with his partner. But if you ever personally made a pair for the both of you, he would REFUSE to take it off merely because of the fact that you made them.

╺ "No, I'm wearing it."

╺ "But didn't you say you didn't like–"

╺ "I know what I said! But fuck you, I'm gonna wear it."

╺ He is definitely the type of guy to check you out when you're doing mundane things and isn't discreet about it either, he even whistles– or makes a comment– just to make it even more obvious.

╺ Can't help to pick on you at times– makes sure he doesn't go too far however. But if someone else does so, he will not stand for it. If you don't stop him, he'd most likely start a fight.

╺ Very protective, and can get really possessive as well.

✦Husk✦

╺ Calls you by your name, but occasionally calls you baby or babe.

╺ Not very keen on physical display of affection or kisses, especially not when the two of you are in public. Yet if you really want to, he'll hold your hand or hook your pinky fingers together.

╺ However, when he is especially tired and/or stressed, he can't lie that it's nice to be in your arms, your hands lightly running over his fur.

╺ He just can't help but smile when you smile.

�� Really good at giving advice. Yet doesn't take his own advice, no matter how many times you tell him that he should.

╺ He shows affection through quality time.

╺ Doesn't mind when you touch his ears or scratch behind them, just as long as it isn't in public.

╺ He definitely puts his wing around you when someone gets too comfortable around you.

╺ Can be caught staring lovingly at you at times with a small smile– which Alastor teases him relentlessly about.

╺ Does not like to, and will not, wear jewelry– not even if it's matching with his partner.

╺ Calls you something like dear and my love.

╺ Gets shy when you show him affection in public. And in the beginning of your relationship he got shy just from you showing him affection in general.

╺ He definitely shows affection through acts of service and gifts– that he made himself, by the way.

╺ Loves to tell you about his inventions, and goes to tell you first when he makes new ones.

╺ He gets really giddy when he manages to make you laugh, even if it's by accident. He adores your laugh.

╺ Wraps his tail around you when cuddling. Also traces patterns on your back lightly.

╺ While he isn't one to wear jewelry much he isn't against wearing matching bracelets or necklaces– hell, he'll make sure to find the perfect ones if you just as much as mention the idea.

╺ Gets a bit panicky when you're crying about something, not really sure what to do to comfort you. But he tries his best.

╺ ”[Name], my love, what's wrong? What happened? What do I do?"

╺ Trusts you wholeheartedly to keep an eye on his egg bois when he's not there.

╺ He just cannot stay mad or annoyed at you. His heart just melts at the sight of you.

Well, it is a very well known fact that Francois is an excellent cook who loves to share their passion with others. They will make sure you get the most excellent of their pastries, and if you’re not a big fan of sweets, don’t worry – Francois will make sure to prepare some salty snacks for you. And if they hear you talking to anybody about craving any type of food, be sure you'll get it the next day for the adequate meal!

Receiving: acts of service, words of affirmation

Since Francois spends most of their time on cooking, they don’t have that much energy left to complete other chores. Make their bed, sweep the floor and leave a cup with water beside their bed and trust me that it won’t go unnoticed. Also, don’t forget to compliment the food that they make! Say a few nice words about it and tell how pretty Francois looks when they are focused, and watch as your partner turns all flustered and red!

Kinro

Giving: acts of service, quality time

Just look at Kinro and tell me he won’t be doing things you didn’t even ask him for, just to make your life easier. You can’t? Exactly. He will do anything that you have even the slightest problems with and more. Kinro also loves when the two of you can find some time in your busy schedules just to waste by going on a walk or laying in tall grass, talking about everything and nothing.

Kinro is not the best at starting any form of physical affection with his loved one. He’s a bit shy when it comes to this department. But it’s not like he doesn’t like it – in fact, it’s quite the opposite… Holding his hand, surprise hugging him from behind, peppering his face in kisses – it makes the butterflies in his stomach go crazy! Also, find some time to spend with him. Even 5 minutes will make Kinro the happiest man in the whole world!

Ryusui

Oh, he will compliment everything about you. Especially things you’re insecure about. He may call everyone beautiful, but, in his eyes, you definitely take the trophy. Ryusui loves when you spend time with him while he’s working on his projects. He’s a bit clingy, and hates to be apart with the one he loves. So if your work requires you to be in a specific space, he’ll follow you around! He can draw a project of a ship even on a dusty floor if it means he can spend time with you!

Ryusui loves to be praised. Tell him that he’s done a good job. That he looks handsome. That he’s a good boy! Tell him every positive thought that comes to your mind when you see his snarky smile! Say that he’s the smartest! And spend time with him. That’s obvious after what I’ve written above. If you can complete your work by his side, he’ll insist that you stay with him. Even if you two will only be sitting in silence, doing your own stuff, he loves the aspect of you being around.

Senku

We’ve seen Senku doing things for the people he cares about to make their life better. He’s a person who wants to help everyone by nature. So it’s not a surprise when one day you bitch about a thing in your life that brings you inconvenience, and after a few days Senku gives you an invention that’ll make your problem disappear! He also gives you a bunch of words of affirmation. But don’t even think that they’re compliments. Senku always tells you that he’s only stating facts!

Receiving: words of affirmation, quality time

Just as much as Senku adores the way your face turns red when he tells you compliments facts, his ears change their color red when you do the same to him! He knows that he’s doing a good job. He doesn’t need reassurance. But your words… are just so nice… it makes this nice warm feeling form in his chest! Senku has issues with overworking himself. So he’s always glad when you smack the back of his head, forcing him to take it easy and rest for a bit. Especially if it can be done in a nice company.

Tsukasa

Giving: acts of service, physical touch

It’s really hard not to give everyone acts of service. But just look at this precious boy! He wants the best for his loved ones! Of course he’ll do things you haven’t even asked him for, just so you don’t have to worry about them! He’s also a big fan of your touch. Stroking your face lovingly with his thumb, kissing your forehead before sleep! He always wraps his arm around your waist or holds your hand when you’re in a crowd, so that he’s sure you’re by his side.

Receiving: physical touch, words of affirmation

Do the same with Tsukasa! Treat him like a babygirl that he truly is! Wrap your arm around his waist, and if you’re strong enough, keep him on your knees when you talk about your days! Call him your pretty boy! Brush his hair and put flowers in it! Make him feel like a prince! He feels stupid because of this, but he loves when you baby him like that! Ofc it’s only for you to see.

A LONG-ASS LIST OF FLUFFY-ASS PUNKNOIR HEADCANONS

Peter is actually REALLY good at rubix cubes now, especially after Gwen introduced him to speed-solving. He does it as a (slightly-nervous) habit now

Since the rubix cube was invented in 1974 - and Hobie is from 1978 canonically - he is ALWAYS picking up new ones and new designs from his universe to give to Peter

Peter loves them a lot and always keeps one on him, just for boredoms sake

Hobie always chuckles when he hears the sound of Peter clicking away on his rubix cube in the next room

They're both HARDCORE night owls

It's never really 'sunny' in either of their universes, because - one is noir and the other is London

But even then, they like to stay sleep in when they can, and Hobie will keep Peter in bed as long as possible, panda-hugging him like a sloth in the mornings

Their love language is sharing things - it's like words of encouragement, acts of service, and receiving gifts all in one

Hobie and Noir aren't the type to buy many things, or need anything to be brand-new, so books become their way of being with each other always

Noir likes to scribble neat notes in the margin in grey pencil, while Hobie covers his in bright post-its covered in sharpie and hi-lighter.

They've read each of each other's favorites, and always treat each other's books with care. Hobie introduces Peter to so many newer publications his world doesn't have yet, meanwhile Peter finds Hobie the best out-of-print or even non-destroyed books, copies that were destroyed in facist book-burnings in Hobie's world.

They kinda have an anarchist collection and archive at Peter's place

Being with Noir is one of the only times Hobie is super quiet

Hobie loves to listen to the rain at Peter's place, or listening to the scratchy 30's radio playing in the next room. He loves closing his eyes to the crackle of Noir's vinyls, or the sound of Peter typing away on his typewriter as Hobie lays on the couch

Even when Noir is at his place, it's a peaceful kinda quiet

Hobie lives on a canal-boat, so no rent, and no landlord, which Peter loves. And on foggier London nights, he and Peter can float the boat out on the river, sitting in the fog together

Hobie introduces Peter to a lot of new music

His favorite in Hobie's collection is Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen, and any other operatic, classical style rock.

They're pretty low-key about their relationship. They're not hiding it, they're just not that big on PDA outside of hand-holding and cheek kisses

But they're still very intimate in public in a different way. Hobie and Peter always asks each other for their opinion in front of others. Peter is always acting chivalrous towards Hobie, and Hobie always speaks highly of Peter.

They may not be making out in public, but their own version of PDA could be just as subtle and sweet, even down to Peter adjusting Hobie's pins, making sure the words are facing up

Or Hobie flicking a piece of colored lint off of Noir, or leaving small bright, collage-style origami for him

It take's Gwen maybe a couple weeks to catch on

She can tell Peter and Hobie are like IN SYNC, like spot on with each other. And that they crash at each others places a lot, but she figures maybe they're just planning some anarchist stuff together

Besides, Noir isn't all that romantic - especially compared to other Peters. He and Felicia don't have that complicated history, and MJ is a friend (i think). So it doesn't really occur to her

Until one day her, Hobie, and Noir are hanging out at Hobie's place and she notices Noir already knows where everything is

Noir knows exactly how Hobie likes his records to be put back, or how much sugar Hobie likes in his coffee and tea

And she's like 'lol u guys are like soulmates'

and Hobie just goes 'glad u noticed.'

and Gwens like 'WAIT'

Peter unironically calls Hobie his 'lover'

Hobie ironically and teasingly calls Peter his 'lover' (he usually sticks with partner, but often goes with boyfriend if he knows it'll get a reaction *ahem* Miguel *ahem*)

They bond over the mutal feeling of 'what the fuck is this technology bullshit' A LOT

Neither one has a proper smartphone (ever since they learned about Siri they call phones wiretaps)

Noir only uses a typewriter and says screens hurt his eyes and the most technologically advanced thing Hobie with entertain is an arcade cabinet or MAYBE a Playstation 1.

But Peter also likes having Hobie explain things to him

Simple things even. SO many times people tell Peter what happens in WW2 in their worlds. It's..not fun to say the least

He likes sitting around, listening to Hobie explain things like the best movies from the 60's, or the best color TV shows

They have a date-night tradition where they try out something 'modern' (aka 1970-2023) and rate it, then write it down somewhere

So far, they both really like the Exorcist. Watching to together for the first time was one of the best dates they've had

(Imagine being from 1933 and watching the Exorcist with no prior context wouldn't that be wild)

Their apartments look SO COOL now that they're together!!

Noir's black and white apartment, covered in shadows and bright pop art posters. Hobie's bedroom half desaturated, half covered in zines and supplies for protests

You know how in old cartoons there's the trope of a dude in a trench-coat and when he opens it it's full of watches as stuff - Noir's coat is like that, but with patches

And Hobie will take newpaper clippings from Peter's Bugle and use them in art and collages because Peter's writing inspires him a lot

He'll use slogans from Peter's writings in his protest art, and use Peter's melodramatic sayings in his song lyrics

You whispering in his ear that you are his, while he's working on his and his twin's new inventions. He would just smirk back at you, while you cling on to him. You are on his back, like a koala watching what he is doing. Whispering "maybe you should do this" "oh yes, that would be great" and stuff like that.

Quality Time:

As he is always doing things with his twin, he would always enjoy you getting along with his twin. He also would enjoy you coming with ideas for pranks. He taught the ways, and sometimes he thinks you can't get any better, but everyday you prove him wrong.

i don't want to get too comprehensive as i'm aware that sanji is a character who is vastly expanded upon in a much later arc than the arc i'm currently reading, but i do want to say i think the invention of the mr. prince was a brilliant choice on oda's part.

seperating sanji from the crew in major ways throughout the saga immediatley following his introduction was a rather bold idea when you think about typical writing conventions, but oda does so in a way that leaves the audience free from any feeling of the character being genuinely side-lined or written thoughtlessly.

the manner in which sanji enacts his narrative role throughout the alabasta saga is a direct result of his growing up in the food service industry, (nodded at when he answers the den den mushi with "hello, welcome to the shitty restaurant." when mr. prince is first utilized as a persona). It also reinforces that he has a high level of social-cognizance even when working on a small amount of information, a trait which is previously shown in how he treated various customers & in his initial affinity for luffy. In mr. prince's first scene alone, oda focuses on depicting this to the audience through sanji's implied senstivity to the facts of: a) baroque works not knowing who he is, b) the likely additional lack of awareness of luffy's crew having more crew members than they think, c) he having enough context to pretend to be a baroque works agent, & d) enough to use that to fake their deaths & get baroque works to stop looking before they find out anything further.

the writing works especially well when you consider that the way sanji thinks would be informed by what he would've needed to succeed in a fast-paced & heavily taxing environment where he continually needs to act in service of others. like it is just a very thoughtful writing choice on the part of oda, & behaviourally very organic for sanji as a character. it allows for the seperation from the rest of the cast to feel justified on a narrative level, & ultimatley ends up adding it's own layer to the intentionally fragmented & chaotic atmosphere created in the climax-chapters of the alabasta arc- with the added bonus of the deux-ex-machina that gets the crew out of crocodile's cage not feeling in the least bit forced.

the thing i saw oda praised above all else for prior to starting one piece was his character-writing, & i can definietly see why.

#i'm roughly aware that this foreshadows him being a prince & that his backstory involves certain traumas. but this is more so in relation #to the way he's set up & positioned in the immediate aftermath of the baratie arc. like i'm sure there will be a lot to read into once i #have full context- i'm just clarifying the perspective at play here.#black leg sanji #sanji #grey's one piece tag #context: currently at chapter 213.

Donnie is the main tech guy, and is always constantly improving his inventions and research. He has security all throughout the Lair, tracking systems for all of his family, an extremely advanced battleshell, and more.

Donnie is extremely determined, bordering on stubborn. He never gives up on a project once he has started it, no matter how many sleepless nights it takes.

Important details -

His prosthetics -

Donnie's prosthetics are all made by his own hands and scrap he's found. He's always reworking them to make them better.

They are waterproof, fireproof, and bullet resistant.

Donnie rarely takes off his prosthetics, only when completely necessary, such as upkeep or when he is going to be submerged in water for a long period of time.

Donnie's hearing aids have multiple volume sessions, from complete mute, to white noise, to regular volume, etc.

His hearing aids also have fins. Those both allow Donnie to connect to wifi/internet, and they are sensors to detect new people, objects around him, danger, etc. They also react to how he is feeling. The fins will retract if his hearing aids are muted, off, or charging.

His blindness/hearing loss/amputations -

Donnie's hearing loss was gradual. It started when he was 8 and was fully gone by time he was 13. It was caused from a mix of explosions, too-loud music, and lack of ear protection around loud machinery.

Donnie fully lost his hearing in a land-mine accident in the lair games at 13.

Donnie's left knee was severely damaged in the same accident, AKA his leg below the knee was completely blown off. Donnie ended up being able to reattach it, as he was too emotionally connected to leave it behind.

Domnie lost his right finger at 12 years old from a broken bench saw flying at his face. He got his eye scarred/lost vision in it in the same accident, when the blade subsequently lodged into his head.

His relationship with Big Mama -

Donnie dislikes Big Mama, but also deeply wants Big Mama's praise and approval. Big Mama does not care about Donnie, and finds him somewhat annoying.

Donnie often will attempt to make technology that BM can use in her Battle Nexus, but most of it goes thrown out.

Donnie dislikes Draxum, because Big Mama heavily prefers his technology and research to Donnie's.

Donnie folds to almost anything Big Mama asks him to, with the promise of approval and appreciation of his work. Then afterward, he will be very upset he fell for the manipulation. He will fall for it again, though.

His relationship with Ishida -

Donnie sees Ishida as his friend. Donnie would never admit this to anyone intentionally.

Donnie is Ishida's doctor as well, and works hard to keep up with his health and work to help Ishida function as efficiently as possible. He takes great pride in his work with Ishida and gets incredibly frustrated when Ishida does not follow training routines/diets/schedules assigned by him.

Donnie is very controlling of Ishida. He wants to be listened to, and gets extremely angry when Ishida blows off his instruction, or doesn't drop everything to respond to Donnie's call.

Donnie is extremely jealous of anyone Ishida chooses to be around, and Donnie often threatens/harms anyone he believes does Ishida wrong (which is most people).

Ishida is one of the few people Donnie let's touch him, mostly as a 'reward' system for things Donnie wants Ishida to do. This same logic applies to words of affirmation.

Donnie is also very sadistic to Ishida, and he enjoys running experiments/flat out torturing Ishida for research or his own amusement. This includes breaking bones, electrocution, laceration, sleep deprivation, and more. Donnie abuses Ishida's people-pleasing and masochistic tendencies.

His 'mind my own business'/peacekeeping mentality -

Donnie doesn't care for drama, and goes out of his way to avoid any issue between his brothers and the rabbits.

This means he keeps certain things secret, such as Usagi's self harm.

Another reason is that he doesn't often care about the problem, and figures that certain things 'aren't his business', so he doesn't care to share it to people that it may effect or involve until it's all boils over.

This makes Donnie very unlikely to snitch, though, and he's often the one the others go to to tell him their secrets. Donnie dislikes this.

His relationship with Shelldon -

Donnie, while he may not act like it, absolutely adores Shelldon.

Donnie is very proud of his work on Shelldon, and treats him similar to a puppy, or his child.

Donnie is also not above smashing Shelldon and restarting on his wiring if need be, but that hasn't happened anytime recently.

Donnie spoils Shelldon a lot, and will defend him vehemently from his brothers trying to smash him.

Fun facts -

Donnie has a very picky, yet somehow wide pallete. He has a strong stomach, and he uses it to eat anything from sour candy, to pet dogs, to iron nails.

Donnie's favorite food is kimchi, and his favorite drink is lemon juice. He loves all sour/tangy things.

Donnie's teeth are like a shark. They are constantly falling out and being replaced by new ones.

Donnie's need to build things often overpowers his need to seem aloof and apathetic, and he often makes things for the people around him that make their life easier, such as noise-cancelling headphones for Mari.

a/n: OK HIII so I decided to do a series for some of my fandoms and I wanted to start w txt :)) I love love languages and I find them so interesting but they’re never rlly niche and small so I wanted to have a sort of domestic aspect ok u don’t rlly care so I’m just gonna get it started now!! enjoy!! (I’ll be posting the skz version later <333)

-he’s a big giver in every sense of the word, massages, in bed, to just doing ur dishes lmao

-if you leave earlier than him in the morning, he’ll clean up the remnants of your routine and fix the bed (unless he’s also in a rush, if not he’ll just leave a sticky note saying how much he loves you)

-he picks you up from work/school/airport, etc, or just walks you from the metro. he will literally always do this and texts to check up on you if he’s away

-like if he’s in America and you’re in Korea, and he realizes over there it’s around the time that you’ll be getting home he always manages to ask if ur home <3

-he cares deeply for ur well being so he’s always doing his best to look out for you, bandaids and kisses any wounds, brushes/washes your hair if you had a bad day, he’s such a mom lololol

-Invented acts of service tbh

-tends to cook for you, breakfast, lunch, leaves dinner in the fridge if he can’t make it home on time…

-he also picks up ur parcels and takes out ur trash but he expects cuddles and kisses in exchange <333

-jokes that he’s just your maid but he’s never asked to do these things for you, he always does, and if he wants to clean he ALWAYS asks if can go through certain items or drawers

-teaches you how to cook and take care of yourself when he’s away so you don’t die :D

-I honestly think he’s more sporadic than Yeonjun in checking-up texts where it’s like “hey I know it’s 3 am but make sure to brush your teeth”

-he’s the silent protector, he’s always in your corner and takes care of you, even if he’s not the loudest about it

-this bitch is the loudest about it

-he prefers to receive acts of service imo cuz it means a lot to him, but he doesn’t even realize he’s doing things for you, it’s just second nature

-“ur so lucky you have me u forgot to turn the mf stove off!!”

-he picks up after you in a sense?? but always makes fun of u afterwards, like if u trip over your shoelaces he double knots them while laughing, if you can’t move some furniture on your own he’ll tease you while helping you, it’s an eye for an eye

-of course there are some things he does that he doesn’t even realize, I just said that oops, anyways he closes your shampoo bottles for you, he shuts off your laptop if u forgot, and he adds events on your shared calendar since he’ll just randomly remember it

-im out of ideas so im gonna throw in the hc that if you have a pet he looks out for it like he looks out for you <3

taehyun

-his acts of service are intermingled with physical touch

-so he’ll hold your hand while crossing the street, or you two do massage nights where you’ll help each other relax (sometimes more), he wakes you up knowing you’ll sleep through your alarm with soft kisses, etc etc

-I don’t think he’s protective in the emotional sense, but more of your physical well being. he kills bugs for you, he always brings hand sanitizer, he checks both ways before you two cross a road and he double checks the weather in the morning before you go out

-he cares a lot for your comfort, but will tease you about being like royalty whenever you ask if he has any hand lotion or tissues with you

-“always needing to be pampered~”

-if you ever whine and deny his service because of this he’ll respond w even more teasing but making sure to comply w ur needs <33

huening kai

-I associate him so much with gift giving and words of affirmation it was kinda difficult to figure this out

-like,,,maybe similar to taehyun in the sense of blending two love languages but also not really?? anyways I think the best way to put his acts of services are small but plentiful

-he’s kinda ditzy, so he won’t put reminders on your phone like the others or check your schedule, but he remembers your coffee order just the way you like it

-he learns the things you’re interested in so he can discuss it with you, he listens when you want to talk to him about something, he lies and says the food you cooked tasted good and proceeds to eat it all just to see you smile, and he hangs up any clothes he finds laying around before you get home

-they can seem pretty insignificant to others, but it means the world to get home to him watching your favorite show so he can talk about the newest episodes with you
