Hello, my sweet fanfiction readers. It's time for a little check-in again. Don't worry. I promise this is a safe place to land, pause with me, and just relax for a second before you keep scrolling.

Have you drank water today? Drop your shoulders and remove your tongue from the roof of your mouth. Take a deep breath. Thank you sweet one, I'm proud of you.

Here's a motivating thought for you before you keep scrolling. Your least favorite character, the one that makes you spit nails and want to scream. Who makes your blood boil, who hurt your comfort character, they think you can't do this. They think you're not enough that you can't achieve anything. Prove. Them. Wrong. Let that motivate you, that this garbage horrid character thinks you can't, say fuck you to them and show that you can.

You're comfort character believes you can do it and so do I. You are worth more then you can ever know, you are loved, you are important and you are enough. I'll let you get back to your scrolling and hope one day you'll see yourself the way your comfort character and I do.

You've got this sweet one, take a deep breath and show the world just how bright you shine when you choose to do more than survive. When you choose to live.

If you need a friend, a kind word, or an ear to listen, please reach out. I want to hear you, whether it's to vent about life or tell me all about a fanfiction you love or your favorite character or a song you enjoy. I want to hear it, I want you to stay.

Your comfort character believes in you, and so do i, a fellow fanfiction reader who's scrolling along with you, looking for a safe place to land. I hope tomorrow is better than today. With love and all the belief that you can do great things, even if that great thing is just surviving.

Pod-together is a fandom fest where writers and podficcers create together—the writer creating text specifically intended for audio, and the podficcer creating the audio. If that sounds fun to you, sign-ups are open until June 10th! You can find instructions to sign up, rules, and FAQ at the dreamwidth site linked above.

Sign-ups come in two flavors. If you would like the mods to match you with someone with similar fandom interests, sign up for Matchmaker Sign-Ups. If you would like to sign up with a partner, we also have Group Sign-Ups.

Writing is due July 23rd, and podfic is due August 20th. The minimum length for pod-together projects is 1000 words or 10 minutes of audio.

This is our 13th year running this challenge, and participants usually have a ton of fun and create amazing stuff, with everything from the typical style of fannish stories to submissions with filk, poetry, found footage/audio drama, sound effects, massive multi-voice collaborations, immersive soundscapes, playable games, and multiple languages.

Hello! Are you a fanfic writer or an artist? Are you a lover of whump as we call hurt/comfort, angst and all the dark, horrific stuff? And more importantly, are you a fan of heterosexual/heteroromantic ships and tired of seeing LGBTQ+ stuff running everywhere? If so, this server is the one for you. We are still gay, lesbian and bisexual friendly and you will not be rejected if you support it, however we are anti-transgenderism, so no girls feeling like boys and boys feeling like girls, going to keep that blunt here. This server just literally started five minutes ago so we don't have much but you can help make it better, just in time for whumptober. But if you like keeping it het (I'm ace but like hetace so asexuals welcome too!), this server will be your slice of heaven.

Would anyone like to be my fandom friend?

Hi everyone. So, like everyone I’ve been through my ups and downs. I lost faith in fandom friendships to be honest. But recently, a close friend of mine has helped me believe in friendship again and I’m making some nicer friends recently, so I was wondering if any of you would like to be fandom friends. I am a fanfic writer though I do not draw fan art.

My fandoms are:

~ Digimon (All series except Ghost Game as I have not seen it yet)

~ Voltron: Legendary Defender & the OG Voltron series as well. This includes Devil’s Due Comics.

~ Avatar: The Last Airbender. Mostly the live action because they’re doing so well but I love the OG mostly cause Zuko is the best written character ever. Zutara is my ship but I also like Zuko/Jin.

~ Harry Potter. Not a fandom I write in but it has some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. But um I write OC/Canon in this. *hides*

~ Twilight movies. Jacob fans, please stay away. I am not a Jacob fan and would rather not hurt feelings.

What I’m looking for: Not too picky really. I am a Muslim moderately religious girl but I do respect M/M and F/F ships outside of incest or adoptive incest. I don’t write large age gaps myself but I have read it before, I won’t lie as well as time travel fics. I just would love to have some friends to have fun, in-depth discussions with about the characters that have nothing to do with shipping because not everyone likes the same ships but we all love the same show, right? Gen discussions are fun!

Oh though, two things. I am a firm supporter of Voltron Allura lives and Appmon Yuujin lives. I am also 33 female myself so I would prefer 18+ females. That’s about it. If you want to be my friend, please like this post and I will reach out via a private message.
