Arthur's notes! Tyler is Jason's, and Isabel(who's deceased) son by blood.

After their engagement Jason and Y/N take things slow after finding out Jason has a, son from a, past relationship.

Isabel and Jason dated a few months after he had joined the outlaws. At the time he was lonely, he missed Y/N but he was afraid of her reaction that he was alive. Had she moved on?.. Though laying next to Isabel, made him feel guilt that wasn't needed.. Because Y/N and him weren't even a couple. At least since the Lazarus brought him back. Though as soon as Isabel found out he was Red-Hood, they broke-up. Truthfully he was glad they did given it wasn't fair for them to be together, when his heart would always be missing Y/N.

5 year's later Jason holds the little boy who instantly clung to his Dad. His baby boy. His little boy. His mom died 9 months ago in a, car accident. He was contacted, as he was Tyler's biological father. Isabel never told him she was pregnant. He did care about her but not as near as deeply as he did for Y/N.

Everyone was naturally shocked meeting the adorable little boy. Bruce could barely keep his heart calmed as, Tyler looked just like his dad.. Like his own son. What made Jason feel a mountain of relief.. Was Y/N's unwavering support.

The engaged couple decided to take things very slow. She was introduced to Tyler and instantly felt adoration for the little boy who looked just as the man she loves.

With a batch of cookies she made. Y/N headed to Jason's for dinner. She knocks on the door to his new house. They hadn't moved in together, not wanting to overwhelm Tyler. Jason opens the door while holding Tyler.

"hey babe. You're an angel" he smiled seeing she brought cookies.

"hey Jason. Hey Tyler" she greets waving to the little boy

Tyler waves back which reassured Y/N he was warming up to her. Do to at first he was very shy when he met her.. Though her kindness to him and her motherly love. Healed more grieving pain to the little boy, than she knew. He adored her. She felt her heart warm as Tyler smiled to her. As Jason let her in he shuts the door.

Y/N puts the cookies on the table and lifts the lid. Jason put his very excited son down onto the ground. Tyler excitedly ran and sat on the chair with a wide smile on his face. Jason kisses her sweetly.

"thank you" he smiled softly to her. She hugs him tightly. "just one for now. You can have another after dinner" Jason told his little boy

Tyler nodded to his dad. Jason was overcome with admiration for Y/N. Her support made him feel secure that he was being a, good dad and she will always be here for him. She was genuinely making this so much easier.

"I love you" she kisses his temple

"I love you too" he mumbled resting his cheek on her forehead.

Tyler smiled eating a cookie "thanks Y/N" he said munching on the cookie

"you're welcome" she chuckled "he's so cute. He looks just like you" she mumbled

"yeah, you're gonna be a great mom. You know that?" Jason proudly said.

She softly smiled to him with love in her eyes by his words that were simple but felt profound "thank you for saying that"

"I mean it, and a baby who looked like you would be very cu--" she shoved at his chest playfully

"don't say another word! I don't want you getting any ideas too soon Mr" she exclaimed becoming flustered.

He shrugged "I'm just stating a fact. Besides it's not my fault your blushing" Jason smirks playfully

"shhh" she mumbled covering his lips with her finger.

Y/N put on a movie for Tyler and went to the kitchen to help Jason make dinner. Even though he didn't need much help, considering he was a really good cook. Thanks to Alfred.

The couple sat with Tyler while eating dinner together. Jason loved moments with her and Tyler, doing the simplest things. It had become routine for Y/N to come for dinner every night. It made him feel whole however it hurt every time she left. Though it gave him comfort it wouldn't stay that way.

As everyone enjoyed their cookies. Tyler blinks a few times. He yawns rubbing his, little eyes. Jason rubs his head soothingly.

"I think it's time we get you to bed munchkin" Jason cooed to Tyler.

"noooo" he whined "I don't want to"

"I know it's hard but you gotta get some good sleep" Jason said

"your Dad's right. You'll feel better if you get some sleep and tomorrow we'll have fun" Y/N smiled to Tyler..

"can you bring cookies?" Tyler asked grinning

She chuckled "sure kiddo. Or I can make them here? You can help me?"

"yes please!!" Tyler excitedly said while clapping

"ok kiddo time for bed. Tell Y/N goodnight"

Tyler gets up from his chair he holds his Dad's arm leaning him down. He whispered in Jason's ear. His dad smiled in adoration to his sweet little boy.

"Y/N would you like to join us for bedtime story?" Jason asked her

Y/N smiled her heart warming that Tyler wanted her to come with them.

"I'd be honored"

Y/N and Jason laid down in the small bed with Tyler snuggled between them. The lights were with the lamp on for a, source of light. Jason read the children's book out loud. He spoke softer as Tyler's eyes slowly close. Jason reaches over placing the book on Tyler's nightstand.

Carefully Y/N leaves the bed and stands. She waits for Jason by the door. The vigilante acted as though he was handling a ticking bomb. He carefully leaves the bed and adjusted the blanket on his son. He kisses Tyler's forehead and turns the lamp off.

The two step out Jason leaves the door cracked incase Tyler as a, nightmare. He rarely did but it made Jason feel better to know he could hear him more easily if he does.

"it's like dealing with a bomb" he whispered

"is it bad that I know exactly what you mean" she chuckled

The couple reside to Jason's room for adult time. Jason pampers her with affection. His heart feels whole and yet he couldn't stop thinking how much he hated she couldn't stay.

"what do you think about going ahead and planning for the wedding?" Jason asked kissing her jawline

"already? Are you sure? I mean so soon" she asked wanting Jason to be sure he was ready unveil all of the planning and preparation.

He rubs her cheek with his thumb "I am. So is Tyler. He keeps asking me when are you coming. He adores you Y/N. We both do" he smiled kissing her lips "I am tired of waiting for us to be a official family. I want your home and my home to be the same.. I'm ready for this"

Jason Todd & Lying: An Analysis

Jason doesn't seem inclined to or particularly skilled at lying.

In BFTC Dick tells him "you're a terrible liar, Jason." Granted in that context Dick didn't want to believe what he was saying, so we can take that with a little grain of salt.

When Isabel remarks their past kiss wasn't very good, Jason says that's because last time he kissed her he was lying.

In Nightwing Annual 2021 Jason claims he didn't do something and Dick says he believes him "because you'd own up to it."

The lies Jason does in Task Force Z #8 are all meant to be very short term.

This could be because of his bad experiences of people lying to him. Bruce is notorious for being dishonest and secretive. Sheila's lies literally lead to Jason's death. One of the last things his birth mother said to him was "I lied."

Don't Wanna Be Torn

Jason lay on his bed, staring at his stained ceiling as he tossed a stress ball. He hadn't gone to see Isabel or the twins. Not yet. Not when he had Gabby's words swirling in his head like a maelstrom. Not when he had to make another choice that would shake his foundations. In hindsight, he should've thought about the first foundation-shaking choice more deeply. He probably would've been able to still be happy with Y/n.

Y/n... Not a day had gone by that she wasn't on his mind. The true object of his affection. He missed the catch, and the plushy ball landed on his face with a soft thunk. A light huff escaped his nostrils, and he just laid there, eyes closed. Basking in the silence. Images of Y/n flashed in his mind. His heart is aching for her.

When the image of her laughing with Conner shot forth, his lids opened abruptly. Of course. Even in his own mind, there is no peace. He should be used to that by now. His mind has never been a place of comfort. Y/n probably wouldn't be happy if he came running back to her. Uprooting the work she's taken to heal her hurt. He wouldn't forgive himself, either.

He sat up, the stress ball rolling down his face as he did so. He stared at it for a moment. It was a stupid gift from Roy. He'd gotten it at the at the last minute for one of his birthdays. Jason hardly celebrates such a day. But this stupid two-dollar toy from a nearby gift store was all that remained. He didn't fully understand why, but he cherished the ball. When Roy gave it to him, he said, don't forget to think about you. Jason had since taken it everywhere.

He stuffed it in his pocket with a centering huff. "Time to face the music." He wasn't at all enthusiastic about what he was going to do. But almost thirty minutes later, he was outside Isabel's hospital room.

He takes a breath. And another. The haze in his mind cleared, but his heart seemed to constrict. His hands were getting clammy as he reached to open the door. He swallowed when he saw Isabel sitting between the twins incubators.

Isabel's face lights up when she notices him. "Jay! Hi, I didn't think you were coming."

He grabbed the nearest chair and dragged it to the foot of her bed. "Hey, Isabel. How are you? You feeling okay after everything?"

"Yeah, it was a surprise, but myself and our babies are fine." She took a sip of the little orange juice cup.

He nods with a barely noticeable, somber smile on his face. "Good, I'm glad."

Silence quickly invades the room. It steals the air of normalcy and creates a smog of tension. Isabel's eyes seem to be trained on her juice cup. Jason's were fixed on her.

And they stay like that for what feels like hours to Isabel. She huffs in annoyance and looks back at him. Her face is scrounged in an awkward mix of apprehension and annoyance. "She told you, right? Gabby? About that guy?"

Jason snorts and grabs one of her juice cups, poking a straw into the top before taking a drink. Isabel watches with a growing pit in her stomach.

"I don't wanna cause you too much stress, so I'll get to the point." He started when she finished the small drink and placed it back on the table. "I know they're not mine."

"Jaso--"

"I think you've said more than enough these past months. It is absolutely shit that you derailed the trajectory of my life to make me play father to someone else's kids.

"Jason, please--"

"Not done." He levels his oceanic blues into her, through her. "I was prepared to marry her. She was it for me. And you stole that life from me."

To her, he is scarily calm. He should be yelling. Yelling would be less stressful. Even if it woke the twins, she would prefer his anger to... whatever the hell he was giving her. If the twins suddenly woke, they would have no choice but to end this conversation.

"I will never forgive you for that. It hurt me, but more importantly, it hurt Y/n. And she deserves so much more." He could feel the heat of his pain welling up. He took a deep breath. "I'm not upset about that guy. I never said we were official. From the start, I was only here for the twins. I would've helped, Isabel. You were my friend. I would've helped if you asked."

"Were?" She involuntarily questions.

"After all this, there's no way we can maintain the relationship we once had."

The tears pooling in her sapphires spilled over. "Jason, please, I'm sorry."

He stands and stretches. "M'gonna call in some favors. Get you set for when you leave."

"Jason..."

"If you need anything for the twins, and I doubt you will, you have my number. But only for the twins. I won't respond to anything else, and if you try to trick me, I'll cut you off completely." He opens the door and says, "Goodbye, Isabel."

...

At the gala, Conner let Y/n know what he'd said to Jason. He described it as childish and stupid, and he was very sorry. And he dropped to his knees and begged her not to ghost him or something.

It was super embarrassing, but also incredibly hilarious. Such a huge guy was on his knees, begging for forgiveness, and putting on such a show. She laughed, genuinely and heartily as she pulled him up. She gave him another shot, but he had to work double time if he wanted her to be with him. He was more than happy to agree, of course.

From then on, he'd been attached at the hip to her. She didn't mind; she liked having him work so hard for her. She wished Jason had done the same. They wouldn't be in the mess they currently find themselves.

Not that she actually knew what he was going through. She just knew that chick would be a hand full. If she wasn't pregnant, she'd have hit her. And she definitely would've deserved it.

Thinking about her made Y/n's blood boil. So she stopped. And maybe that's what she's needed all along. To just stop. Though her heart aches for Jason, his sense of responsibility takes him elsewhere. And even if he were to come back...

The thought of leaving Conner pulled her full lips down and made her stomach swirl in the worst way. He felt comforting and warm. A feeling that wasn't new to her but was severely missed. Like he was hot tea on a bitterly cold night.

"Y/n?"

She looked up from idly circling her martini glass rim. "Hm?"

"You okay? Seem a bit lost."

"Just a bit of thinking."

"Not about boys. Pleeaase not about boys," Shana whined childishly.

Y/n puckered her lips, her head turning up a bit and away, her eyes going back to her friend like a puppy that made a mess of the trash. Shana chuckled and elbowed her lightly. "Because of course you are," she said, rolling her eyes. "So, what's the problem this time?"

Y/n shrugs, taking a sip of her martini. "There isn't one. I think I'm finally moving on from Jason."

Shana's eyes narrowed suspiciously, and her lips pursed. "Yeah, alright."

"I'm serious. No gotcha's. But listen, I have a question."

"Shoot."

"What would you say if I said I was thinking about moving to Metropolis?"

Shana's eyes go wide, completely confounded, as she stares into Y/n's soul. "Perdeste a cabeça?! You didn't even move on Jason this fast! Did that super freak brainwash you?" Shana snatches her head up and examines it with her magic.

Y/n shoves her off. "Shana, girl, I love you, but if you ever put your hands on me like that again, I'ma forget you my best friend."

Shana is still looking at her as if she's hiding something, to which Y/n rolls her eyes. "I'm not going for Conner, fucking duh."

"Then why?"

"I may or may not have been aiming for a spot on the Justice League for the past few years."

Shana freezes for a moment, scrutinizing her for a moment. After a minute, she snorts and then bursts into laughter. "You're kidding, right?"

Y/n's lip quirks up in a frown, and she plucks her on the forehead. "Here I was talking about something other than the men in my life, and here you are being an ass."

"Ow, okay," Shana says, rubbing the spot where she plucked. "Sorry, geez."

"Anyway, Superman and a few others wanna hold interviews, and they want me to do some kinda trial run in Metropolis."

"Why? You're great at what you do."

"Yes, but am I JL great? That's what they wanna find out. Besides, I never planned on staying in Gotham for so long. I think my true calling is Manhattan, anyway."

"Why am I just finding out about this anyway?

"Because you have close relations with the Batfamily."

"Batfamily? What the fuck? Where did that BS name come from?"

It was Y/n's turn to scrutinize Shana. "Batfamily? You not bouta tell me you've never heard that before."

"Should I have?"

"Literally everyone says it."

"No, they don't."

"Yes, they do."

"Nuh uh."

"Yuh huh."

"Nuh uh."

"I'm not doing this with your ass right now." She downs the rest of her drink and gathers her things. "Pay for this martini, and I swear I'll spot you later."

"We both know that's a lie, but sure, get outta here. Amo-te, desarrumado." They kiss each other on the cheeks, and Y/n departs.

As Y/n is walking to her apartment, she has the misfortune of running into a couple of low-level criminals trying to steal a car.

"You know, I don't think that's yours."

"And I think you'd best move along." He pulls a gun on her, but she is unphased by it. "Less you wanna be a victim to this crime."

"I bet you thought you ate that one." The criminals look up just as a figure falls from the sky and lands on one of them.

Y/n knew that physique well. It used to embrace her while she cooked breakfast at three in the morning. Shield her from the demons that plagued her in the dark. That voice that whispered sweet nothings when he thought she was sleeping. That voice that chortled mockingly at something that she hadn't meant as a joke, but she joined in the mirth. And when those eyes landed on her, she could feel the moment he first told her, I love you.

And just for a moment, she wanted to run into his arms and say it back. Just for a moment, she wanted nothing more than to feel all those things again.

"Can we talk?"

"I really don't want to do that."

"Please, Y/n?"

She had to look away from him. The slight tremble in his tone as he pleaded, the glossy bit of hope that seemed to fill his eyes overwhelmed her. Even with his mask on, she still knew him so well.

She crossed her arms tightly over her abdomen, her hands cradling her biceps protectively. She huffs and does nothing else, but Jason quickly deals with the criminals and calls the police.

She follows him to his motorcycle, where he puts her helmet on her, making sure it's secure. She wraps her arms around his midsection, and he pats her hands twice. The whole exchange is silent, and the ride follows suit. As well as the climb to the roof of the clock tower, where Jason walks behind her, ready to catch her.

Both hearts hammer in their chests. Both minds fuzzy and anxious. Hands fiddling with each other.

Above them, the stars twinkle and glitter. Their own conversations endless. She wondered what they spoke of. If the language they used ever became a hindrance to them.

Jason took a seat just a bit behind her. His arms were propped up on his knees as he gazed at her. He swallowed, and his mouth opened, but nothing came out. His teeth clenched and his jaw set, his brows furrowing while he scrutinized the way her eyes shimmered in the moonlight.

"Just like stars." He murmured abruptly.

And when she turned those eyes on him, he felt his breath catch. The world seemed to slow along with his heart. A wave of serenity washed over him.

"Hm?"

"Your eyes. They always remind me of stars."

Warmth fills her face, and her nose tingles. "O-oh, I-- th-thank you." Just as her words her heart stutters. Because, of course, he can make her feel just like a schoolgirl confessing to her crush.

"I miss you, Y/n." He closes his eyes, a soft sigh escaping his lips and a weight lifting from his shoulders. "I miss you so damn much."

She bites her bottom lip to keep from saying it back. She takes a deep breath through her nostrils and blinks away tears. A war started in her the moment she saw him. And she was determined not to succumb to it.

She looks away. Back out at the plagued city below. "You wanted to talk. So talk."

His head hangs, a tired breath escaping his lips. "The kids turned out to not be mine.

Her heart picks up pace, and her head whips back around to him. Brows slowly knit together, her bottom lip quivering with her shakey breath. "Kids?"

He explains everything that's led up to this moment. "I won't pretend I'm not entirely hurt and disappointed by this. I just—I want you back. I was an idiot to ever leave you."

He lets his words sink in a bit, and they do sink in. They permeate and invade. She feels... dizzy? Dazed? Her mind is fuzzy, and her loud heart is beating her ears. And his words--.

Gently, his hands cupped her face, soft like petals to his touch. His eyes, intense, warm, and focused drink in her own, uneasy, anticipating, and longing. His lips quirked up slightly on the right, strained and bittersweet. He brought her forehead down to his lips, planting a lingering kiss, then pulled her into an encompassing embrace.

"I'm sorry... I can't seem to stay away from you."

And she was sorry, too. She didn't want him to stay away. Fuck.

I live in the NYC area and recently received a local newsletter from my neighborhood showing outdoor summer movies in the local public park.

The reason I’m telling you this is bc something kind of interesting happened. One of the movies they were showing this summer is mrs Harris goes to paris.

In the neighborhood newsletter blurb discussing the movie, they mentioned Lesley manville (the star), AB, and then isabelle huppert.

No mention of Lucas Bravo, Jason isaacs, etc.

It was really bizarre to me bc AB being listed as second billing for a random local newsletter makes little sense to me as she was very clearly not the star or even second star. Lucas B technically should be bigger than her as he has a pivotal role in Emily in Paris which is still going on and hasn’t been canceled, and he was just in a romcom hit with George Clooney and Julia roberts last summer. He’s also a professional model and has been on runways and mag spreads this past year alone.

Ab had WN that got canceled and she didn’t even do any interviews for the second season. She has not been in any large endorsements or gotten any super prestigious roles since, but she did go public with a more famous actor.

If anyone is questioning if the PR is working…there’s your answer. Her name is getting out there and the search algorithm for her name is getting more and more out there as well.

Is any of this due to her own talent and success? (LOL)

Or is it more likely the huge PR boost given to her by someone else’s name?

I think the reason some ppl, esp team real, is doubtful about PR bc AB herself is not doing the legwork to put her name out there for more positive professional recognition. Her very actions/inactions seem to point to her hoping that the PR boost will do the work for her.

Many women who started dating more famous men usually had their own careers or would leverage the association to their professional benefit. Examples: Kaia gerber (mother is supermodel Cindy Crawford, boyfriend is Austin butler), Gigi hadid (already famous in her own right) and whatever her thing is with Leo DiCaprio, Hannah Davis (model) and Derek Jeter, Natalie V (works in the industry) and Henry Cavill. You’ll see most of these women have their own personas and social media and continue to do their own thing outside of being connected to famous men. Even if you feel they dated/married up or are opportunists as well, they still have their own thing going on. They didn’t just go into hiding so all ppl will ever think of is that they’re spending all their time following their man around.

By contrast, the dating rumors began for AB and she immediately pivots to “never being seen” unless it’s to let ppl speculate she’s with him.

She gives the vibes of a person who very much hopes the offers will fall into her lap bc she got her name attached to an A lister. She forgot that she is not marketable by herself and has no IT factor so ppl are still not checking for her. Being pretty on a basic level and attending one fashion show does not make you a star.

I know ATP the discussions on this have hit beyond the point of broken record. But I stand by it - she never wanted to work for fame. She wanted it handed to her, and still does. Her little friends JA and his sister also wanted to reap the benefits by association, and really believed all of their statuses would magically elevate due to their “association” with an A lister.

No wonder CE has spent this entire year mentioning the “industry” and what it makes you do. This was a hint, y’all.

This whole "relationship" definitely gets her name out there. WN was successful, but not enough to give her a name in HW or in America.

I think one of the other really good examples of how big of a boost it is for her can be seen on WN's number. So the official People article came out on November 10, 2022, exactly on the day the show's second season debuted. The first season had never been trending before that. Not when it came out, not when they announced the second season. However, after the announcement, not just the second but even the first season started trending, with the first season in 32 countries and the second season in 70. I've seen that a lot of people have said they only started watching the show because they wanted to see who the woman Chris is dating is. And I will also admit that back in, like, January 2022, I also checked the show because I was interested in who she is.

Obviously, I'm not saying those people didn't like WN or that they just watched two seasons because she is dating him. I'm pretty sure there were people who did it because of that, but I'm also pretty sure there were people who liked the show and the characters, but maybe they didn't even know about it before that. WN is not my cup of tea, but that doesn't mean it's a bad show. Not at all. But I think the fact that it started trending and that more people started to watch it has to do with their relationship. It has to do a lot, in my opinion.

A lot of Chris fans love them together, support them, and even defend her and their relationship. So yeah, the fact that her name is now connected to his helps her out big time.

It always bugged me that she never really promoted her work. I guess she did a little more when the second season of WN came out, but it wasn't anything special. She also seems reluctant to engage with her fans. They keep tagging her; they write sweet messages for her, but no reaction. Not even a thank-you or anything like that. They were trying so hard to save WN.

I just don't like her or her personality. I mean what we can see from it.

Adventures of Chika Hanabusa: The Restoration of Earth

Disclaimer: This book follows the events of Percy Jackson and Heros of Olympus fanfic, this fanfic will not include Trails of Apollo, The Kane Chronicles, and Magnus Chase.

Chapter 19: Past Friendships

Chika PoV

I finally asked Reyna to hang out with me and she said yes. Reyna grabbed some napkins from the counter and tried to wipe off the hay stains.

“I probably should have just worn pants to do the farm work, no matter I have a lot of clothes and the day is over. Anyway, I was wondering if you have any competition or game today?” Reyna asked with her dark eyes showing concern, worried that I might forget something.

"Well, I have a game against Ridgefield High, Oakwood's rival school. My old friend Isabelle Belmont is their cheer captain." Reyna looks surprised and she looks down on her hands while her hair moves to the right side of her face.

“What do you mean old friend? Did she backstab you or bully you now?” Reyna says with a stern look and looks prepared to slice off Isabelle’s head.

"No, it's not like that, it's just she becomes distant. Every time I try to talk to her, her face is all red, and just runs from me. Honestly, I worried if I hurt her somehow, she's always been a sensitive girl. Like she does put on an icy mask to protect herself from other bullies and mean girls, but she is the type to let their words get to her and she just cries to herself or privately just rages, but after she says an equally poisonous remark to the jerks or just beats them up. Her mother is very overprotective of her and moves her to a different school, and Isabelle doesn’t want to rebel against her mother. Isabelle just has a hard time opening up to others and keeping things to herself. I just hope she doesn't hate my guts; I want to make things right with her before I become a full-time demigod.” I catch my breath and Reyna looks on to me with a stoic face with no movement of mouth or eyes that express an emotion. It’s funny because Isabelle is also known to be stoic as well, I guess my weakness is stoic queens.

“Then you should talk to her, have some closure with what you want your relationship with her to be. I wish I could go back in time and try to find closure in my relationship with Jason." Reyna lays her back on the couch seat as her posture becomes more relaxed.

“Who is Jason if you don’t mind me asking?”

“Jason was my fellow Praetor and a son of Jupiter. He was a remarkable warrior, and he led our camp to victory against the titan Krios, and we destroyed the titan king's throne. But it wasn't his power that I admired, it was his gentle soul. Jason always hated war and never liked the idea of killing. Sure, he was the strongest, but he never wanted that burden. He feels pressured to be the perfect son of Jupiter, he wants to help every demigod possible. Every demigod that he had to fight, he tried to talk them out, but they never listened to his word. So, he has no choice but to kill them to protect New Rome. I wasn’t so gentle compared to him; I killed numerous faces without any hesitation or remorse for they threatened my home. After every battle in the Titan War, he always goes to Jupiter Shrine, questioning his father if the lives of every demigod he kills bring peace. I did grow to have a crush on him, but he only sees me as a friend. I should have told him how I feel, but then Juno switched him to Camp Half-Blood and then he has to fight the Earth Mother along with the seven." Reyna tries to remain composed but her eyes show a different story. It's like her eyes hide a deep sadness and remorse for all she did at the war. Killing other demigods must be so brutal and never having closure with someone you admire is just double horrible. How can the gods make Reyna suffer so much? It’s just not right.

"It is messed up that the gods made you and other Roman kids kill in their name. You guys deserve a mansion or at least free college for all that you, Jason, and others sacrifice. If it makes you feel any better, I do think that Jason misses your company too. You know what? Maybe at the end of the year, let’s be friends with our resident perfectionist softies again.”

Reyna just laughs in amusement with tears coming out of her eyes, "Now that could be interesting, I'm willing to take the wager. You made up with Isabelle and I will make up with Jason. What do we get to lose."

“Oh, shoot I got to get ready for the game. Wanna come with me?” I asked.

“I don’t want to get in the way of rebuilding your relationship with Isabelle, but I will stay awake if you need my assistance in case there is a monster attack, so please Iris message me or contact me in any way if you have to deal with this scenario. I believe it’s only a 30-minute walk from the house.”

“Ok thanks, I will need to get ready quickly.” I quickly stormed into my room, and I changed into my cheer uniform for the game with the white and green shell with the name Oakwood High printed on it and the white pleated skirt with green highlights. I found my celestial bronze scythe and I made sure it would be in pencil form. I found a stuffed animal that is a peacock and when you open its arm, the feather wing is full of rainbow colors. I grabbed it because Isabelle told me that she loved peacocks when we were kids, hopefully, she liked it.

“You got everything Chika. I will pick you up once your game is over." Reyna gives me my backpack which is full of floral designs.

"Thanks, Reyna and yeah I would let you know." I ran out the door quickly and I put my scythe and the peacock stuffed animal in my bag.

After 30 minutes of running, I felt sweat coming out of my forehead and I got in the locker room. The good news was that I was on time, and hey at least I got a workout from running. But I’m not the only one in the locker room, Isabelle Belmont is sitting on the locker room bench with her black and purple cheer uniform on and her long dark hair tied up in a high ponytail with a purple bow. Isabelle has this adorable big brown eye like a cow, and she is around 5’10. That cheer uniform shows off her long legs and even her huge bust. Isabelle Belmont is one the most gorgeous women I met; she could have been easily mistaken for a goddess.

“Hey Isabelle, long time no see. I was wondering if we can catch up after the games.” Isabelle looked shocked to see me. Her face has become red again, oh no. Is she going to run away from this time?

"Maybe but only if your football can beat mine. In the meantime, catch your letter." Isabelle waves her hand off me and just walks away from me. How can she be so cold about seeing me, I need to talk to her. I rather she say some mean taunts to me, but she just pretends that I don’t exist. I ran up to her and I caught her arm.

“Wait before you go, I want to know why you have been cold to me and ignoring me. Did I do something to you?” I asked with my voice dropping and tears coming out of my eyes.

“You didn’t do anything to me, just please stop being so dramatic." Isabelle pulls my hand off her arm and just continues walking away from me.

"Are you such a coward that you won't confront me about how you feel? You have been avoiding me throughout high school and I need to know why. Did our childhood memories when we were kids and when we were struggling through middle school? We could have still been friends even if we had gone to high school. I would have preferred that you tell me I'm a horrible friend or your snarky remarks instead of just flat-out abandoning me. I just want to make things between us." I wipe tears in front of my eyes as she continues to walk away. She's not going to say anything, anything at all. I don't understand how she becomes guarded with me at this moment, I miss her smiles, her laughs, how she always protects me from jerks, and how she always hugs and listens as I rant about animals and plants for an hour. I remember Isabelle saying that she wanted to marry me someday when we were 8 years old. Maybe somebody hurt her or her emotions are too much to handle she took on the ice queen persona to cope with all of this. Isabelle stopped walking and turned to face me with tears coming out of her eyes and snouts coming out of her nose. She looks so undignified and tears stricken, It's like she has almost fallen to pieces.

"Do you want to know why I become distanced from you? It's because you never needed me in your life. You have everything going nicely for you, you have friends that you can count on, a second parent who is alive, and you are just so pure and nice. Me, I'm just a lonely mess who nobody wants in their life, my mother spent more time trying to prevent her asshole husband is satisfied and unaware of my existence, people in my cheer squad never invite me to parties and even talk behind my back. I never hated you Chika at all, I’m protecting you from myself.”

"What do you mean protecting me from yourself, no offense but that doesn't make sense. I still want you in life, you inspire me to become stronger so that I can walk with you equally. When you punched some mean girls in the face while I was just some quiet kid, and even offered cupcakes. That was the best day of my life, knowing that I just met an incredible person. I remember when we named all of the farm animals in my father's barn when we were just kids, I want to go to the old days and I know that you feel the same. You are just afraid to say it, you always think so lowly of yourself to the point that you robbed yourself of having meaningful relationships. I just want closure for both our sakes because I truly did miss you, Isabelle. But you know what, I hope my team defeats your team so that we can talk about our feelings. I have something I need to tell you as well; I have some secrets of my own and I only trust you to bear them. If there is a chance that our friendship to continue, then we need to share our secrets."

"Fine, I guess, I hope your football team is good. I'm sorry I made you feel bad, I do miss you as well, you have such a beautiful voice. Too bad you must waste it on pervy jocks." I flat-out laugh at what she says, wait does she think I'm straight? Man I miss when she roasts other people

“At least you don’t hate my guts and fyi I find cheerleaders hotter than the jocks.” I shot a playful wink and Isabelle just blushed and ran away faster.

"On second thought, I hope my team crushes your team. You insufferable tease." Her voice echoes, ok I know that she doesn't mean that.

I walked into the stadium and all the other cheerleaders were waiting for me. Coach Sandra was sitting on the beach in her green and white tracksuit. She's an athletic blond, white woman in her early thirties, she's pretty attractive for her age.

"Ok, girls do your very best and I want you to have fun most of all because in the coming weeks, there will be nationals for cheer and we will take first place because I am blessed to have the most capable girls in this squad." Coach Sandra yells while we all cheer for approval.

Admittedly I didn't pay much into the game and only on the scorecards. I was busy getting lifted into the air by a squad mate and I did a toe jump in midair. I just danced with the music and shook my pompoms with my squad and I saw Isabelle lifting a small girl in the air and caught her as a base.

"Oakwood High!!! We Will Win!!! Oakwood High!! We Will Win" I cheered and I saw Isabelle do an amazing cartwheel and end with a split.

"Ridgefield High!!!KICK OAKWOOD BUTT!!Ridgefield high!! STOMP ON OAKWOOD DEFEATED BODIES" Isabelle shouted with fire in her eyes. Everybody looked terrified with Isabelle's cheer, while adults chuckled and shouted Aww in the crowd.

After an hour gone though ad the runner back with white and green colors signifies my high school caught the ball while the quarterback got tackled and scored the last touchdown. We all cheered with happiness while Isabelle blushed madly. My cheer team went back to the lockers and I followed them. Aisha hugged me in the front and everyone looked pleased.

“Wanna join us for the celebration Chika?” Aisha asks while I shake my head in a no direction.

"I made a promise to a friend that I would spend time with her." All the other girls changed and left while I waited for Isabelle. Isabelle came to the locker room still in her cheer uniform and sat next to me on the bench.

"So what is it you want to tell me Chika." Isabelle stares at me and I just lay on the bench, but Isabelle moves my head in her lap like she refuses to let the bench have my head. I'm not complaining, Isabelle's thighs are much better than the cold, hard bench.

“This will be hard to explain but do you know about the Greek Myths, well I’ve been living them for a while.” Isabelle cast a knowing look and nodded in sympathy.

“I’ve been leaving them as well Chika, that is the reason why I put distance between us. I’m a demigod as well but I swear on the river Styx to not reveal my parentage. All I can say is that I'm not supposed to exist." Isabelle hugged me close to her chest and it felt nice again, to be embraced by her.

"Do you forgive me Chika?" She kissed my forehead and cheek and hugged me close.

"Of course I forgive you, Isabelle, you are so dear to me and I'm just glad that we could move forward. Btw I got a gift for you." I open my bag and I hand her the peacock stuffed animal.

"I hope that you like it, I wanted to give this to you." Isabelle hold the stuffed animal to her chest and she softly stroke my hair.

“I love it, I will cherish this forever.” Isabelle hugged me and the stuffed animal together.

“By the way, you haven’t told me your godly parent yet. Who is it?” Isabelle says in a curious expression.

“I could tell you, but you will have beat me in a sparing match," I said with a mischievous smirk and Isabelle did the same smirk I did. We both got off the bench, and we were in fighting positions. I did the karate stance while Isabelle just put her hands in a boxing position.

"You know hopefully these cheers uniform allow for more movement because I will whoop your butt, lovingly of course." We both did a high kick toward each other at the same time, our legs connected, and the rest is history. Hopefully Reyna is not worried about me.

Mrs Harris Goes To Paris (2022)

"In 1950s London, a widowed cleaning lady falls madly in love with a couture Dior dress, deciding she must have one of her own. After working to raise the funds to pursue her dream, she embarks on an adventure to Paris that will change not only her own outlook -- but the very future of the House of Dior."

The very first thing I want to say is what a pure dose of delight this film is. It has been a very long time since I have watched a movie that has been such a "feel-good" romp from beginning to end. Yes, it has moments of pathos, and even sadness, but they do not take away from the overall feeling of happiness currently residing in my heart.

Historically this film is firmly on the nose. Everything about this film, from the timescale for Dior to the garbage strikes in Paris in 1957, from the fashions to the vehicles, seems to have been fully researched and recreated in great detail. The effort was utterly worth it as it made the film, and everything happening within its confines, seem completely genuine. This along with the cinematography, especially one night shot over the roofs of Paris, drew me in and made me feel like I was a part of the scenery. Magical.

Every performance was on a par with the best I've seen in a very long time, from Jason Isaacs, as Archie, and Lambert Wilson, as the Marquis, to Isabelle Huppert, as Claudine Colbert (the closest thing to a villain in the whole film). There are two stand out performances, from two young stars, as the will they/won't they love story subtext. Alba Baptista, as Natasha, and Lucas Bravo, as André Fauvel, were simply exquisite and their on screen chemistry was absolutely perfect. Bravo in particular was a performance I was very pleased to be able to see.

The absolute star of the movie though, in every single way, is Lesley Manville. As the eponymous Mrs Harris she sparkles on film in every scene. Whether she is cleaning someone's house, or getting fitted in Dior, she is flawless in the role. As a woman who finds out for certain her husband has died in the war, some 13 years after the event, she brings a level of sorrow to the screen that had tears in my eyes right near the beginning of the film. And then she decides to go on an adventure to Paris to buy a Dior gown, massive undertaking for a character who is, in her own words, an 'invisible woman'.

Her marvel at the sights she sees in Paris, despite walking past huge piles of rubbish, underlie the massive differences between her everday ragtag life, and the magic she feels in the bourgeois magnificence that is the French Capital. Manville's performance is outstanding, and at no point did I ever believe she wasn't Mrs Harris. That kind of depth and ability in a performance is the mark of master of her craft.

The director, Anthony Fabian, has done an incredible job with this film. He has given us a story of pure joy, inhabited by fully fleshed out characters that we can relate to and a tale about following your dreams, however big they may be. As for the soundtrack? It has Johnny B. Goode by Chuck Berry on it, ergo it is automatically awesome.

Overall this film is a magnificent piece of art. I was legitimately punching the air in happiness by the end of it. In all the time I've been doing these reviews properly I have only give one film top marks, and that was Elvis. Mrs Harris joins those lofty heights with a perfectly well deserved 10/10, with a full recommendation to everyone to go and see it, as the French would say, vite, vite vite!!!

aaaaah! its been FOREVER! we dont have internet! *faints* so im using my moms boyfriends computer....but anywho....ALOT has happend! im not at my grandmas anymore, im at MY house! yay!!!! we have power AND tv!!! wooooo! but we dont have phone or internet which is poo...but since last tuesday...lets see....ummm....i cant remember the week, but i can remember the weekend so here we go.....i went to my dads and did stuff. lol. i didnt really do much, but i got to see isabel and thats always good. aaaaaand i got a new cell phone....but i didnt want one...so i was like.....its ugly, why cant i have my old phone??? but its growing on me and i have the COOLEST ringtone! its Yellow....oh yes....this week....hmmm well on tuesday we watched gilmore girls! aaaaand luke said YES! yay! but rory and her mom are fighting and i hate it. then wednesday..........LOST!!!!!it kind of dragged on in the beginning...but once stuff started happening...WHOA! whats up with the hatch and the 80s music and the steroids??? lol. whats up with desmond?? (sp?) who the hell IS desmond?? well we know who he IS, but not really who he...is??? and walt in the forest???? was it shannons mind playing tricks...or was he really there?? aaaaah only next weeks episode will tell...but overall, i liked  the episode. ive been soooo bored lately!!! and ive been annoyed by a 5 year old boy. we get in fights and then i feel stupid for fighting with a 5 year old...lol. well...i have a lot of internet stuff to catch up with so BYE DARLINGS!

AAAAH! ive had like the best dreams in the past 2 nights! first i dreamed that there was this 24 hour Lost season one screening at the New Orleans arena and the cast was there, and Dom was sitting like 2 rows behind me, so i smiled, then he kind of smiled then ignored me, so i walked over and he said "i bet you want a hug" so we hugged and then walked out of the arena together, then i went home and told everyone that i met him. i even dreamed of typing this. *twilight zone theme song*and then last night i had a dream that i was at some ballroom, and Jason Mraz was there, and we DANCED! but like ballroom dancing. and he was wearing pajamas and i was in a fancy dress. and he didnt dance with any of his other fans. *sticks out tongue* it was lovely... wooooo im strange. you dont have to say it.

Movie Review | Freddy vs. Jason (Yu, 2003)

I remember this being heavily marketed the summer before I started the seventh grade and seared itself onto my brain as the kind of movie I absolutely should not have been watching. The "18A" rating (which is the Ontario equivalent of "R" in the US; our "R" is like "NC-17" albeit less poisonous in terms of commercial prospects) filled me with dread. I remember a few weeks later one of the girls in my class was telling us about how she snuck in to see the movie. Trying awkwardly to make conversation, I asked her what Jason's shtick was. I was not yet enough of a film buff to know such knowledge like the back of my hand. She explained, totally deadpan, that he killed people with a machete. I don't remember if she actually liked the movie.

Anyway, it's hard for me to picture there had been a lot of genuine anticipation for this movie, as both series were long past their heyday, although I suppose seeing two horror icons duke it out holds a certain novelty no matter how limited the commercial prospects. And duke it out they do. Obviously Freddy works in the realm of dreams and manages to manipulate Jason accordingly, but eventually he must enter the physical realm and two go at it, using wrestling moves and whatever weapons or deadly objects they have at hand. So I expect those drawn in by their fandom of one or both series would have been pleased that the movie delivered on the title. And despite some doo doo CGI and a character inexplicably inspired by Jason Mewes, this plays things relatively straight and commits to the material. The movie does not hold you in contempt for wanting to see the boys go at it.

Otherwise, both series were a long way from being scary at this point (I think the first movies in both series tap into a genuine sense of dread), so the most you can hope for is something fast moving, stylish and violent, which this certainly is. Lots of canted angles, aggressive editing, whooshing camera moves and the like to spruce up the supernatural slasher violence. There's the metallic look common to movies of this era, which undermines the use of colour (lots of blue and red, but unfortunately rarely together), and I wish the characters were more memorable (only Katharine Isabelle and Kelly Rowland make an impression), but otherwise, as far as nu metal style goes, this is done reasonably well.

Chapter 22: Letting Go of The Past

Reyna PoV

I woke up from my slumber, I was pleasantly surprised that Lady Juno appeared yesterday, and Isabelle is her child. I’m afraid that we know a dark secret that could cause war on Olympus. I did my routine of brushing my teeth and hair, putting on my jeans and a red shirt, and cutting my fingernails.

“REYNA!!your friend is here.” Chika shouted from downstairs; I wonder who could it be. I quickly ran downstairs, and Chika opened the door. No, it can't be!! Is that Jason? He is standing outside with a white dress shirt and jeans, standing next to his storm spirit Tempest, a storm spirit shaped like a black stallion. He waved at me and gave me a small welcoming smile.

"Can I come in? I just want to talk to Reyna if you don't mind?" He asked Chika and she moved out of the door and made a small hand gesture, signaling him to come in.

"Make yourself at home. I'm guessing you are the famous Jason Grace." Chika made a small laugh and Jason laughed as well.

"I didn't know I was that famous, I bet Reyna told you that I was terrible with the spear and the bow," Jason says with a light-hearted tone.

"No, she did not, she told me that you were a war hero in the Titan and Giant War." Jason looks down in guilt and he rubs the back of his blonde hair nervously.

“I prefer to not be remembered for that.” Jason took a seat on Chika's living room couch, crossed his hands together, and looked at the wall. Chika looks a bit nervously while I stare at Jason in curiosity.

"You didn't come here reminiscing. Jason, why are you here?" I asked her and he suddenly moved his hands to his side and stared at me with a guilty expression.

"I'm here to apologize to you, Reyna. I have abandoned New Rome and you out of my selfishness. Even since Leo sacrifices himself to defeat Gaia, I realize that I took most of my friends for granted and I realize how our lives are very short." Jason in a sad tone, still hasn't forgiven himself for what happened to Leo. I'm afraid we all have taken Leo for granted, even though he did open at Camp Jupiter. He did what every legionnaire is trained to do, sacrifice themselves for the sake of the world. Why does Jason want to apologize to me, Lady Juno was the one who transferred him to Camp Half-Blood in the first place. I was scared that I wouldn't see Jason again, but he and Percy needed to unite both camps against Gaia.

“You have nothing to apologize for Jason.” I smiled a warm smile while Jason looked more brooding with his sullen eyes.

“I ignored you when we met again back at Camp Jupiter because I was busy with Piper. I should have stuck by your side when Octavian was being an asshole to you. You have always been there for me, and I just took that for granted, it was wrong that I did. I'm slowly regaining my memories of our time together as Praetor and as friends. You fill in the hole that Thalia left for me. You were kind and strong, and you inspired me to seek Praetor. We were about to fix Camp Jupiter before Hera kidnapped me for her plans. I just want to say sorry for not being there the way that you are for me." Jason got off the couch and bowed before me with his head hitting the floor. I grabbed his hand and pulled him up in front of me. I tearfully hugged him, and I felt his tears coming as well. Chika looked on in concern for both of us.

"I'm not going to lie, Jason, it did hurt that you paid more attention to Piper and abandoned Rome and me. But I can't be mad at you because I did have feelings for you and I truly thought that we could have married and ruled New Rome together. I was naïve at the time, maybe it's time for the both of us to move on from the past and start forgiving ourselves.” Chika smiled warmly while she watched Jason and me hugging and got out some fruits for us. Jason and I both let go of the hug.

“Wait you have feelings for me this whole time, I’m so sorry if I lead you along. I just saw you as a sister figure, but I hope we can still be friends.” Jason looks on nervously, wondering if he hurt me again.

“I no longer see you that way anymore, but you are still my hermano. Promise me that you will still help New Rome and that you will forgive yourself.” I said assertively and Jason laughed warmly.

“I will always be there for New Rome and you. I will also be there for Camp Half-Blood. I will try my best to be there for everybody. I failed Leo as a friend, I won’t fail again. I will have to leave soon; Piper and I have enrolled in a mortal school to at least have a normal life. I’m glad that you did the same, you deserve to have a normal life. Screw what Aphrodite says about never healing your heart, you go out there and find somebody that deserves your love. Doesn't matter if it's a mortal, a demigod, a god, or whatever. You deserve love just like anybody else." Jason says in a loud voice, authoritative voice befitting for a son of Jupiter. You know Jason is super dorky and that's why I'm so happy to know a person like that. It's to this day that I still admire him, even as a comrade.

“How did you know about what Aphrodite said to me? Did Piper tell you?” I asked in annoyance, great now you have Piper running around and telling my secrets. Note to self, never trust Piper anymore with secrets.

"Yeah, she did tell me out of concern for you. She only told me and not everybody else. She and I will support you no matter what." Jason opens his hand in a handshake, I shake his hand and we both smile at one another. Thank god I finally have closure with Jason, we can finally be friends without the dark cloud hanging above us.

“I know you will, don’t you have a daughter of Aphrodite to attend to.” I did a sly smirk while Jason went red.

“You are right, I should leave soon. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. I’m glad that we cleared the air between us” He grabbed one of the fruits and munched on it quickly.

"Me too and yeah, I will let you know if I want to reach out, we can finally be real friends. See you around Jason." Jason and I hugged for the last time, and he walked out of the house.
